Description

Image
Name: Seika Kimura
*Role: Awkward Loner
*Gender: Female
*Sexuality: Heterosexual

*Nationality: Japanese
*Age: 16
*Birthday: December 7th
Measurements: Height – 5'5 Weight-96lbs
*Year and class: 2A
*Likes: Playing Instruments, Singing, Dancing, Fighting ((In a controlled, competitive setting.)), Reding, History, Musiv, Sweets

*Dislikes: Backstabbers, Bullies , Lying, Her Own Hair Color, Self Centered People (At least 5.)

*Appearance Description: Seika has long, wavy, dark red hair, pale skin, and bright blue eyes. She is very slender for a girl of her age, due to a medical condition that makes it hard for her to gain weight, despite how much she may eat.

*Personality: Seika has a somewhat cold personality. Due to her time in foster system, Seika has learned how to be very independent and self sufficient as a human being. Seika has a hard time trusting people and letting them into the outer wall she had built in order to cope with the constant loss of people in her life that she had experienced over the years. However, if you are able to break the tough exterior, you will find a very caring, if a little overprotective, person, who wants to help the people she cares about no matter what the cost. Seika is very selfless, often putting others and responsibilities a head of herself, pushing herself to the point of exhaustion, illness or even physical injuries to herself. At the same time, she is very proud, refusing to accept help from others easily. Seika is very loyal to her friends, and holds strong morals on a pedestal. Naturally, Seika is very stubborn, determined, and an extremely hard worker. Seika is also very intelligent, though most don't think so, thanks in part to her photographic memory and part to the numerous books that she read as a child from the library. Seika can often seem accident prone, because she is, she can be clumsy at times and seem to run into more things than seems safe for a normal human being. Due to being teased a lot at school, as well as mentally and physically in foster care, Seika has a very poor body image, as well as A bruised confidence. However, Seika has proven to be a strong, courageous person, if a little on the reckless side at times.

*Story: Seika has never quite fit in, a fact that she is well aware of. From the beginning of her school years, she was picked on by the other kids at school, due to her dark red hair, and later on the fact that she is very skinny, often calling her anorexic, in middle school. Music, gymnastic and dance classes, and books became her comforts, it wasn't uncommon for her to spend hours pounding out songs on the keys, though what do you expect from the daughter of a successful opera singer and a wealthy music producer. For the most part, Seika would take the bullying like an obedient child would take their medicine, however, when the teasing began to move on to her older twin sister, Sayuri, then Seika began throwing punches. The twins had been trained by their parents and six year older brother, Shin, in numerous martial arts for their own protection, though it had come much more natural to Seika than her sister. Almost everyday, Seika would get into fights on the play ground, and later began receiving challenges for after school, winning every time. However, the family was turned upside down, when Seika's parents got into a severe accident involving several cars, killing them almost instantly. With their brother only sixteen and the twins only ten, the trio was thrown into the brutal foster care system, where, not two months in, was torn away from each other, Shin going with one family and Seika and Sayuri going with another. For the next two years, the twins were bounced around from abusive foster household to abusive foster household, though Seika would take most of the beatings, purposely angering the aggressor so that they would take all their anger and punches out on her, instead of her sweet innocent sister. Until Shin turned eighteen, inherited their father's company and wealth, and got his sisters out of the foster care system. Moving into a penthouse apartment the next year went fairly smoothly. Seika began to get discovered by some of the coworkers and partner companies that her brother worked with, and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Barely a year after they had reunited, Sayuri came down with a mysterious illness, and a week later she died in the arms of Seika as she sang Sayuri a lullaby. The death hit her very hard, causing her to spiral into a deep depression. Once again music, (and two abandoned little kitties), helped pull her out. At fourteen, Shin bought her a furnished, one bedroom apartment, closer to the school, and that has been her living situation ever since. She works part time as a waitress at a cafe, where on karaoke nights, her boss, though a kindhearted and caring woman, will often force her to sing(though Seika will never admit it, she actually looks forward to karaoke nightmares).

Crush(es): *looks away blushing ferociously* Why the hell do you wanna' know?
Club(s): Martial Arts, Musical Arts, she secretly wants to join the Rhythmic Gymnastics but can't bring herself to do it.
Secret: She's yet to have a boyfriend, let alone her first kiss.
Extra: She can play eight different instruments(though her favorite is piano), she has a photographic memory, she has an amazing singing voice that very few get to hear, she has been taking theater, dance and gymnastic lessons since she was three.
Pets: Two black cats named Artemis and Clover

So begins...

Yuki Hayashi

Yuki sat up in her bed, looking around her room sleepily. She knew she had to get up. It was her first day of high school, and she certainly didn't want to be late. However, she was slightly afraid. Being in a new school, without her group of friends- well, the very first friends she's had in a while, would all be going to different high schools. Yuki rolled over and sighed, stuffing her head underneath her pillow. Yuki quickly shot up and slapped her cheeks.
No falling back asleep! You will go to Fukushima High School, and you will like it!
She shouted encouragingly to herself before nodding. She turned her head to see her father standing at the door way. "I see you've already woken up?" Yuki chuckled nervously and scratched the back of her head.
Yep! I really don't want to be late...
Her father left her room with a nod and turned her head towards a picture frame near her bed and she smiled. It was a picture of her mother while she was pregnant and a picture of her father as well. I hope you're watching, mom. Today's my first day of high school! Yuki flipped off her sheets and ran into the hallway.

After having a very quick shower, Yuki ran downstairs with a towel in her hair and around her body. She checked to make sure her dad wasn't in the dining room before she closed her notebook and put it in her school bag. "I'm making breakfast, want some?" Yuki blushed when she seen her father walking out of the kitchen, holding a spatula and wearing his dorky apron.
Dad! I'm practically naked, go back in the kitchen!
Even if it was her father, Yuki was very self-conscious about her body. It was far more developed than any girl her age, and this embarrassed her greatly. He held his hands up in defense and walked back inside the kitchen. Yuki grabbed her bag and ran for the entrance, placing the bag right beside the door. Yuki ran back upstairs and into her room, quickly shutting the door behind her. She looked at herself in her body mirror.
How should I wear my hair for the first day?
Yuki thought about different hairstyles in her head and she shrugged the thought away.
I'll worry about that later.

Speaking to herself was like a bad habit that Yuki couldn't really get rid of. She quickly dried off the rest of her body and put on her undergarments then put on her sailor uniform. The shape of her uniform was a short skirt with a short sleeved top and she added her thigh high white socks to the mix. Yuki really wasn't a fan of blow drying her hair, as it was very unhealthy for it, but she wanted to get to school early so she quickly blow dried the remaining wet spots of her hair. She brushed it out and looked at the picture frame of her mother again. Her mother's hair was very long and beautiful, and it wasn't really done in any special hairstyle. Yuki decided to let her hair down, just like her mother's in the picture, even if her hair wasn't as long and beautiful as her deceased mother.

Yuki skipped down the stairs and tripped at the second last step, almost falling flat on her butt before catching her balance. Her father chuckled and she blushed. "That was a close one." Yuki chuckled back and skipped into the dining room. There was just eggs and toast on a plate, and some hot ginger tea on the side. Yuki didn't really fancy ginger tea, but she also requested her dad make that for her, just in case her stomach began hurting later on in the day. Yuki grabbed her egg with her fingers and placed it on top of her toast. She ate it very quickly and slurped down her luke warm tea, before running upstairs the floss and brush her teeth.

I'm off now, dad! Love you!
Yuki shouted before running out the door. She walked down the street, and took in the fresh air. It was a beautiful day, she could tell already. After about 10 minutes of walking, Yuki finally made it to the school. She was so nervous! Freshman's were meeting up with their old friends or making new ones, and there were club stands set up everywhere for anyone who wanted to join. She was told that there wasn't going to be any classes until after lunch. Yuki sighed and awkwardly walked towards a tree and sat under it. Well, I'm off to a bad start.

Akane Yamada

Akane was awoken by her two idiots brothers, and starting at that exact moment, she knew this wouldn't be a good day. Akane punched both of her older, but much more immature, brothers right on the head before walking out of her room. Akane began stripping as she was marching down the hallways, and the servants and maids looked away with a blush. Akane didn't really care. She just wanted to get this "school" thing over with. By the time she was in the bathroom, she was only in her undergarments and she stripped herself of those too before hopping in the shower.

Akane wrapped a clean towel around herself before marching back into her room. She quickly threw on on her uniform. Her style that she chose was a short sleeve and a short skirt. She wanted a short sleeve so that she could just roll the sleeves up, making them look similar to a tank top. Akane slid on some shin high socks before walking out of her bedroom, her hair still soaking wet. The maids insisted that she went back inside her room, so they could at least get her hair done nicely, but she only chose to brush it out. Akane went downstairs and ate a breakfast fit for a king. She didn't mind eating commoner's food, but she loved the "rich people food". Akane was greeted with a bowl of rice, fillet of grilled salted salmon with the skin still intact, a side of radish pickles, two sour plums, a bowl of miso soup, a side of natto and several sheets of seasoned seaweed. Akane's mouth drooled as she practically inhaled her food. Her two middle brothers were 18 and 19 years old, her younger sister was 9 and her eldest brother was 21, however he was away learning about business. Since his father didn't become the next in line for the family business, he volunteered. Akane was slightly disappointed that her older brother couldn't see her leave for her first day of school, but she quickly shrugged it off.

Since her family insisted that she gets a ride in a limo on her first day of school, so she doesn't get lost, Akane decided that she would follow their rules. Truth was, she didn't exactly want to get lost either. When she got out of the limo, many students were staring and whispering. Akane just rolled her eyes and kept walking with her head down. Damn, this is really embarrassing... Akane thought to herself and walked towards a bench, flopping right down on top of it. she didn't feel like socializing right now. She was just annoyed and mad.

Ren Fontaine

Ren sat up immediately when he heard his alarm going off. He scratched his head and ran his hand through his black hair, moving his bangs out of the way, slightly helping him see better. Ren threw the covers off of his body and walked outside into his large hallway. There were maids that blushed and bowed down. This wasn't anything new. Every time they seen him shirtless, they'd get all giggly and annoying.
Good morning to you too. Could you please get some breakfast ready?
They nodded and quickly scurried off giggling and whispering. Ren back into his room and through the doors in his room that connected to his own large bathroom. He stripped himself of his half-nakedness and got in the shower.

OOC: Oh my god, this is taking really long. I'm just going to skip ahead.

Ren was on his way to school, sitting in the back of his limo. He looked out the window the whole ride there until he finally seen his school. He was there before almost anybody else, so he could set up a stand for his club. He didn't like standing behind a table, desperately shouting out to people to join like a pathetic puppy, but it's kind of his job as a team leader. Well, it would be, but he got his more charismatic team members to do that part. After getting out of his limo, he heard his chauffeur call out to him one last time, but Ren got to it first.
Yes, I'm sure that I don't need help setting up a table, thanks.
He smiled back at the old man driving the limo. No matter how persistent his servants were, he still couldn't bring himself to treat them like shit. This specific man has been Ren's personal chauffeur for a little over 15 years. Ren knew his servants cared about him, so he cared about them too.

After he and his team members finally got the table set up, some people started coming to school and he sat back in his chair, put his feet up on the table and sighed when he noticed some girls eying him flirtatiously.
Just one more year, that's all.
His team members around him chuckled and then started calling people out.

Kyouya pouted as he opened his flute case to reveal a beautiful bronze flute before he put it together, and warmed it up softly. "Yes... I suppose I really should go greet them."
He blew a kiss in Ren's direction as he walked over towards his booth. He saw Rin and Takuto, giving them a small wave.

He walked up to the people that were there and smiled. "It's nice to see you this year~" He greeted happily. He walked up to Ryota. "I'll do my job now~ I just had to check on a friend I had grown worried over." He took a piece of sheet music out of his bag and handed it to the male. It was a very beautiful flute trumpet duet. "The Rose~" It was sad they didn't have the piano.
"Do you think you could play this real quick?" He asked, moving to stand on top of the table, twisting his hair into a quick messy bun with the hair tie around his wrist. It was hard playing with his hair down.

Kyouya held his flute carefully as he looked at the crowed. Once Ryota started, Kyouya quickly joined in. He had to show everybody what the music club was about. He also wanted to call all the music club members there.

Seika sat in the library, listening to the laughter and conversations, that all mingled together in a kind of symphony of chaos. Seika had always come to despise the first day of school, it just reminded her of how much of an outcast she really was.
While everyone met up with old acquaintances, she sat quietly on the sidelines, an invisible essence hiding behind a gray beanie and headphones. Though who could blame her, the only people in her life who hadn't made fun of her in some way shape or form, where her siblings, Shin and Sayuri.
Seika's heart clenched, as she remembered her dead twin sister. Had it really been three years since Sayuri had died.
Shaking the feeling from her head and from her heart, Seika focused more intently on her book, a piano book opened onto a piece called Miika153, Sparrow.
Focusing on each note, Seika's hands moved as if the wooden table was a piano itself. But all the same, with each strike of the table,Seika could imagine and hear every note in her head.
But her music was interrupted as a duet she recognized called "The Rose," floating in from an open window.
Glancing down, Seika noticed two members of the music club, Kyouya Nakazuki and Ryota Takasugi, expertly preforming the beautiful duet.
Seika had signed up for the Musical Arts Club last year, but generally waited until the other club members had gone home before playing a piece on the piano, when she did work up the courage to actually attend one of the meetings.
Seika hadn't preformed in front of anyone in three years, she didn't think that she was good enough to be considered worth hearing.
But this year it was going to be different. Readjusting her beanie that she wore to cover her hair, she went back to studying the piece with renewed enthusiasm.

Ryota Takasugi

"No. Actually, I haven't," Ryota answered, gently placing his trumpet in its case. He took a few flyers from the table to hand out to students before moving to stand beside Kyouya. "It was beautiful but it wasn't a very hard piece. So no need for Kyouya-san to flatter me," he added with a relaxed grin, ignoring the butterflies in his stomach. "I have been practicing hard this summer, you know. I think I deserve more credit than that." It was true, he'd spent most of his summer attached to his instrument and covered in music sheets. Probably not the healthiest way to spend what was supposed to be his vacation but, as far as he was concerned, time spent on music was never a waste. Not that his neighbors particularly agreed.

He glanced at Minami and another member of the club, a boy from second year and their lead cellist, who were helping the students eager to sign up. "Solo and Ensemble, huh?..." he mused, handing out a flyer to a freshman who'd stopped to take a look at their stand. The idea of finally winning those competitions was one of the reasons why he'd worked so hard this summer. "You know we won't get very far without a good pianist, right?" He stole a glance at Kyouya, who he was sure would take the hint.

They'd both talked about it once before. Seika Kimura, one of their least active members, was a strong (he'd know, they were both in the martial arts club after all) but unfortunately shy girl when it came to actually performing in front of the club. But it was in one the few meetings she'd attended that Ryota noticed something. The red head's long fingers tapping against crossed legs, not in a nervous but deliberate way, as if striking invisible keys, and that's when he realized. Seika Kimura was a pianist.

Neither of them knew if the girl was talented or not, but if she was then they'd have the pianist the club had been needing and missing for a quite a while. Maybe, just maybe, this would finally be the year that they won...

"Yes I know. We need that girl. 'cause quite frankly, I do not want to do all the accompanist jobs again this year. I was docked points because I didn't have one either." Kyouya said, a thoughtful look swept over his face. "But, I'm making it my goal this year to win this thing. And if that means getting her, I will." He turned to Ryota and smiled, "I need to make this an amazing last year after all~"

"And since you've been practicing so hard, why don't you become my second in command this year? You're already picking up my slack this year and it's the first day." Kyouya offered, laughing slightly. "It'd be nice to have someone, who actually wanted to, help me this year."

"I'm pretty sure you love for music could possibly match my own after all~"
That was actually a very big compliment. Kyouya took his musical abilities very seriously. I took great pride in his abilities and everyone else be dammed if they thought anything less.
Music was his outlet. It was his pride and joy.

Seika swayed in time with "Grenade", a song that had been nagging in her mind for the last week, as she made copies from the mountain of piano books that she had piled up on the table beside her. As she did her gray beanie fell over her eyes, for seemingly the hundredth time since she had been in the library. Seika pouted, hooking her thumbs under the beanie, she pulled it off in one fluid motion, something she almost never did in public, but she was the one person in the library. Her dark red mane, fell in crimson waves down her back.
The copy machine whirled and the glowing buttons dimmed, as it spat out the last of the papers she was copying. She placed it into an old black folder, held together by duck tape and and a few stickers. She smoothed the copy of Passacaglia by Handel, among such works as Cziffra's Tritsch Tratsch Polka, and any other challenging piece she could find. Walking over to the open window, she glanced down at the view below. Minus the books and the basic lack of people there for the most part, this was why she came to the library. Seika adored to look down at the people below, seeing them move about below, and yet remaining far above their stares and whispers all at the same time.
Sighing, Seika leaned farther out the window. Suddenly, Seika felt her foot slide out from under her. Thankfully, she caught herself, thanks to her fast reflexes and her death grip on the wooden sill that lined the window. Sadly her music wasn't so lucky. Down towards the ground her beloved pieces went, only to be scattered by a sudden gust of wind, into the crowd.
"Shit," she screamed at the top of her lungs, as she bolted out of the library, and raced down the two flights of stares in seconds.
Pushing her way passed a mob of freshman, she burst out into the crowd, her eyes trained on the pieces of paper that danced in the sky above her like the falling petals of a cherry blossom tree.

Ryota Takasugi

"Kyouya-san..." the name left his mouth in a whisper, shocked eyes scanning the young man's face to make sure he wasn't being teased. "You're serious?" Ryota questioned, realizing that there was no sign of mockery in that gentle smile. Kyouya wasn't joking, he really wanted him to be his second in command. It was almost too good to be true. Of course, if he had to be honest, he'd always thought about being in that role, but so did many members of the club. But not once did he ever think Kyouya would actually offer it to him, of all people. Modesty aside, he knew that he was good at what he did, or at least worked the hardest to be, but still, it wasn't like he was particularly close to the man, despite him wishing otherwise. As far as he knew, the club leader treated him like everyone else.

"I don't know what to say..." Staring at the sky with a distant look in his eyes, he felt the wind pick up and ruffle the hairs on his neck. "Except..." he turned to Kyouya, knowing the flutist was waiting for an answer. Ryota was just about to open his mouth to give him one when something went flying straight to his face. "What the-?" he growled, tearing the piece of paper away and scrunching it up in his hands.

Students around him gasped and he only had to look up to find the reason. What seemed like hundreds of papers scattered by the wind, flying across the air like a flock of doves, were falling to the ground or hitting unsuspecting victims like himself. Blinking, Ryota unfolded the crumpled piece of paper that he held. "It's a music sheet... for piano," he said aloud.

There was some commotion a couple of stands from theirs. A girl with hair as red as blood and skin as pale as rice was pushing through the crowd of students, looking frantic as she tried to catch as many pieces of paper as possible. It was Seika Kimura. Instantly, Ryota began to make his way toward her, picking up every fallen music sheet along the way and yelling at the students to not step on them.

"Kimura-san?" he called as soon as he thought she was within earshot.

Seika halted in her tracks the second she heard her name, reluctantly tearing herself away from the pieces still floating in the air.
Glancing towards the direction of where the sound came from she was surprised to see that it was Ryota Takasugi, running towards her, with papers clutched in his hands. She recognized him from the Martial Arts Club and the Musical Arts Club, both of which he showed amazing talent and skills in.
"Takasugi-senpai?" she questioned, tilting her head to one side, until she noticed that the papers where some of the very ones she was chasing.
A smile, something she rarely did in school, and raced over to where he was standing. For getting about the remaining papers, she gathered the papers in his arms into her own, she hugged them tightly to her chest, like a child would hug a teddy bear that they had been reunited with after it's disappearance for many days.
Turning towards him, she bowed deeply, saying "Thank you, thank you, thank you," over and over.
As she was bowing she noticed a piece of paper crumpled up in his hand.
"That wouldn't happen to be part of Cziffra's Tritsch Tratsch Polka would it?" she asked hopefully, her pale cheeks rosie with glee.

Ryota Takasugi

Amusement tugged at the corners of Ryota's lips as he watched the redhead hug the papers close to her. It reminded him of his little sister when they were younger, grinning from ear to ear as she clung to a drenched and tattered lion plushy her niisan had dragged out of a lake in the middle of winter like a long lost friend. The deep bow and the repeated words of gratitude, however, were exactly the kind of formalities that made him uncomfortable, and he was about to tell her there was no need for any of that when he was surprised with a question.

"That wouldn't happen to be part of Cziffra's Tritsch Tratsch Polka would it?"

Blinking, Ryota let his eyes fall from the sophomore's flushed face to take a closer look at the wrinkled music sheet he still held in his hand. It didn't take long to find and confirm the title of the piece. "Tritsch Tratsch Polka..." he read, the title sounding vaguely familiar to his ears despite his struggle with the pronunciation. Turning the notes on paper into sounds in his mind, he began to hum part of a chirpy tune he remembered hearing quite often in some of the cartoons his imouto enjoyed watching. When Seika's eyes lit up, he knew he'd got it right. "Ah, so it's that piece. You know I'm not a pianist, I only took a couple of lessons when I was younger, but... This one is pretty difficult to perform, right?" Out of the corner of his eye he saw a few students staring at them, a couple of girls looking away as soon they caught his warning gaze.

"These piano scores are yours, aren't they?" he asked, turning his attention back to Seika. "I didn't know you played the piano, Kimura-san." Glancing once more at the music sheet in his hand, he continued, "And you're tackling pieces like these. Either you're crazy or extremely talented." he half jested with a grin, returning the piece of paper to the younger girl after apologizing for its state.

This was perfect timing if there ever was such a thing. He hoped Seika would go with him to the club stand, where the other members could help find the rest of her papers; he and Kyouya needed to have a chat with her. Kyouya... Shit! Ryota hadn't given the other man an answer yet. Of course he accepted the position! He had to tell him that.

Kyouya couldn't help but laugh as Ryota ran to save the flying papers. He had a feeling as to what the male was going to say, so he didn't chase after him. He watched the white papers float down peacefully but frown when people stepped on them. Hopefully, the papers hadn't been damaged in any form.

He saw Kimura and his interest was perked. Talk about ironic. He ran a hand through his hair as he stood up. He walked over to the two and gave the girl a small smile as he stopped close to her, making their formation like a little triangle. "Good morning, Petal~" He chimed, his terrible habit for nicknaming cute girls coming back to life. He gave her a wink as placed a hand on Ryota's arm. He needed to make it seem like he wasn't purely there to get her to join. "You never did give me an answer, Ryota-kun~"

He glanced at the music in Kimura's hand and his face lit up with delight. "Tritsch Tratsch Polka~!" His smile turned more genuine as he turned to the red haired girl. "I love this piece. Can you play it well?" He asked, his eyes practically dancing with the music notes as he read them over.

"I...um, I guess, I kind of can," Seika stuttered, she was growing uncomfortable at the prospect of people asking her to play. In truth she had practiced it hundreds of times, she loved the way it felt as her hand flew across the piano, her fingers frantically keeping pace with the upbeat tune. But the only person she had ever played this for was Sayuri, it had always been Sayuri's favorite piece as well. So when she had found it in the library, she almost ran to the copy machine to bring the music home to her lonely apartment once more.
Seika lowered her head, gazing sadly at the concrete, time had yet to heal the passing of her sister. Tears stung her eyes, as she remembered the way Sayuri used to sit beside her on the piano, or in a chair near the sleek, grand piano they used to keep in the living room, and just sit and listen, smiling sweetly as Seika pounded out song after song on the piano. Her golden, blond hair illuminating She remembered the way that Sayuri's chocolate eyes used to sparkle when she smiled, the way her smile would light up her whole face. And yet, it could also be one of comfort. A smile that gave Seika the confidence and self assurance, that she herself so desperately lacked. A smile that stole all the pain and sadness that the children at school had caused her. A smile that absorbed all that was bad in the world, and molded it into something of beauty and wonder. That smile, was the reason she still played, because when she became lost in the song, as she so often did, Seika could swear, that she could still see that wonderful smile once more.
Without realizing it, Seika's hands enclosed around a locket she wore around her neck. It contained a picture of Sayuri and she when they were children, sitting at the grand piano that one could almost always find them at in their spare time, smiles spread wide across both their faces. That locket had always given her courage when she needed it.
Looking up at both of her senpeis she stared back into their eyes with a genuine smile, and nodded her head.
"I have played that piece, at least a hundred times in fact. Now if you'll excuse me I think I should go," she said already feeling hints of hot tears creeping down her cheek.
Pivoting on her heel, she turned around and started heading towards the door, her fingers itching to play on the gorgeous piano in the, hopefully abandoned, music hall.
Music was how she expressed her feelings, something she had never been quite able to articulate to others as well as the songs seemed to do. Music was how she lived, it was her heart, it was her soul, and it was her rock. And at this moment all she could really think of doing was letting the tears that she desperately did not want to shed, pour out through the ivory keys.
If she herself could not feel beautiful, then at least her music could do it for her.

Ryota Takasugi

As soon as he saw those red locks vanish in the crowd, Ryota flinched away from Kyouya. The skin on his arm still burned where the young man had touched him and he immediately put a hand over it, like someone attempting to stop a bleeding wound. "Great, you scared her away," he snapped, regretting his rough tone almost at once. "Sorry," he apologized, letting his gaze fall to the ground. Of course it wasn't Kyouya's fault; something else had triggered the sadness he'd seen in the redhead's eyes, something they knew nothing about. "I think it's best if we let her go this time. She doesn't seem to be in the mood to talk," he finished in a gentler voice that he tried to keep firm and confident.

It was easier said than done. His face felt hot, he was definitely blushing, and worse than that, he was sure Kyouya had seen it. His heart was beating fast and it was frustrating as hell. Why couldn't he control his own damn body and why did Kyouya touch him like that when he already knew Ryota's issues with personal space?

Turning his back to the flutist, he pressed a hand against his flushed face to cool himself down, letting the dreads hide the rest of his features. "We should head back and finish things before lunch time..." Not a big fan of watches, Ryota never wore one so he had no way to confirm the time, but the sky told him enough. "Or rather, I should head back. You don't have to if you don't want to, Nakazuki-san. You can leave it to me and the others, I am your second in command after all, aren't I?" he forced out a chuckle, while cursing himself on the inside for using Kyouya's last name, something he knew the other hated. "If that offer is still up that is..."

Rin soon realized she'd been thrown out of the conversation, she decided to seek out Aya-chan and headed away from the sound booth with a wave and a wink. On her way she saw someone snapping at Kyouya and a girl she recognizes as Seika running off. At closer examination it was Ryota, she never learned his last name. Ryota was the type of guy that she didn't like, he came off so mean. He said something she couldn't hear in a much more gentle tone. A small smirk creeped up her face, So he likes Kyouya-kun. Or at least it's a theory, well that's something interesting. Although... it would be rude to comment on it so I guess I'll just go find Aya-chan, wherever she is. Rin wasn't the type to get jealous over something that wasn't hers to begin with, but that just gave her a even bigger determination to make him hers. Though it never seemed to work out....

"Seika huh? Kyouya will love me for sure if I can convince her to join his club." Rin muttered to herself as she walked.

Now the real question was could she convince her friend to help her. It would be much easier that way. I'm being naive, the only thing I would achieve from this is maybe a affectionate pat on the head along with a warm thank you. Besides, I'd have to figure out a way to intrude without making it seem as if I'm intruding. Oh, this is so complicated! Ok think clearly, Seika is a bit of a loner. That doesn't mean she'll accept kindness easily. The best thing to do would be to just honestly tell her your intentions. Join or not you tried. It should go something like..... 'Kimura-san, you play the piano right? I just wanted to ask you to at least think about joining the music club. Kyouya and Ryota aren't as bad as they might seem to you'. I don't know! Why can't I skip to the part where Kyouya tells me that he's grateful and pats me on the head. I get flustered and confess then he tells me we should start as friends!

Caught up in her un realistic daydreaming she'd almost run right into the girl she was looking for. Though Rin was forward, flirty, intrusive and obsessive....... admittedly. Reckless was one thing she wasn't. Rin was the type of girl to classify all insects and arachnids as highly poisonous, aggressive, armed and trained in hand to hand combat. Which she did. So this was a mission she'd need help on, Aya-chan had to of been used to her constant exploits for getting Kyouya's attention. "Hey Aya-chaaan." Rin tapped her on the back with a devilish look on her face, it probably gave away her intentions. Not that she cared. Though she hoped Ren didn't tell and ruin the surprise.

Seika frantically whipped at the tears as she raced down the hallway. The boys were just asking a simple question, when Sayuri had died, Seika hadn't told a soul, and quickly transferred schools in order to avoid the sympathetic stares that seemed to follow her wherever she went. As much as she had appreciated people to talk to after her sister's death, even some of the girls who had once teased her came up to her in the middle of the hallway and gave their condolences, nothing they did would ever bring back the sister that she had lost. So why did they made the scabs she had been trying to form over the wounds on her heart the death had caused, reopen. She hadn't cried like this in almost a month, a time that was impressive by her standards. Maybe it was the way they had treated her. The way that Takasugi-senpai had helped her pick up her fallen papers, when in her past, she would only experience such kindness from her family. Or the way that Nakazuki had called her Petal, the simple word reminding her of how her sister used to call her Rosie, a nickname not only inspired by her deep red hair, but also by, what her sister had called, a dangerously beautiful aura to her.
When she arrived at the grand black piano that lay unused in the empty music room, she felt immediately comforted. In a few swift moments she was running her trembling fingers along it's sleek, black surface. Gently lifting the lid, she gazed down at the gleaming ivory keys, her fingers tingling with the anticipation of playing.
Seika slid into the matching piano seat to go along with it, as she had done thousands of times before. And for the first time since she got to school, she felt like she belonged, like she wasn't just the awkward loner who just showed up for school because she had to. She felt loved, confident, and elegant, sitting before this masterpiece of an instrument.
Undoing the clasp of her locket, she gently placed it on the stand where the music would normally go, opening it up so she could see her sister's smiling face once more.
"So Sayuri, what shall I play for you today," Seika asked a dimpled smile spreading across her face.
She knew that the picture would not answer her, but she always felt inclined to ask, like she used to do when they were younger.
In her mind, she pictured a piece she had done for her recital when she was about six, one that both of her siblings had always loved listening to.
Taking a deep breath, Seika began to play the opening of the advanced solo version of "The Prayer" on the piano. She closed her eyes, savoring each note as her fingers lovingly tapped each of the notes. While it was not a particularly hard piece for her to play, she had always enjoyed the pure beauty and emotion that seemed to fill each note as they came out of the piano. As she got to the part where the singers would usually enter in, a small voice in the crevasses of her mind whispered "sing".
And she obeyed, allowing her soprano voice to fill the room. Seika didn't have that bad of a singing voice, some might even call it equal to her piano skills, but much like the piano, no one in the school had ever heard her preform in such a way. But she continued, her heart swelling along with the music and allowing for the touching words to find their way into her heart. When she had finished, and the last note rang out clear and strong in the empty room, Seika just sat, allowing for the true impact of the song to hit her.
After a few moments she opened her eyes and stared at the locket, and with a smirk asked "What's next?"
In seconds she began Chopin - Fantasie-Impromptu, a wide smile once again plastered on her face, her eyes lit up with a fire that only music seemed to light inside of her.
