We all have heard about college life. Your parents have probably drilled it into your heads since the second you came out of the womb. You might have only just grasped the concept of actually going to college. After all, it's not particularly easy to get in, especially four-year accredited institutions with a long legacy of success and greatness. Yet and still, most stories of college are filled with mishaps, adventurous, fun, and one hell of an experience. Not many can say that they want to miss these golden years. You're being enriched and challenged in such a way that high school could only dream of doing, you're meeting a plethora of diverse individuals with varying backgrounds, and sometimes, you're literally in a place you have never been in before. College, despite the bumps in the road and the drama that can unfold, is one experience not a single person should miss out on and if there is one school that everyone has talked about at least once, it's Fulton University.

No, this is not Harvard. No, it's not Stanford, Brown, Yale, or any of those highly-talked about schools you've heard about because everyone else has deemed them the only schools you need to be searching for. In fact, if we're being completely honest, it actually is one of the top schools you should be researching. To be quite frank, Fulton University, based in none other than Miami, Florida, is one of the best institutions in the country, having just placed as #12 on the Forbes Top Twenty Institutions in the United States. And for what reason, you might ask? The student body is known for its diversity. Where schools like Yale and Harvard might seem wary in accepting non-white students, Fulton's students have come from a plethora of ethnicity and backgrounds. There is rarely any one student that looks exactly the same. They're also known for fostering some of the brightest minds, sending out a range of athletically-gifted individuals due to increased funding to their athletics department, and even have a list of known celebrities and artists due to actually building on a visual and performing arts program that is literally coveted. But, one of the main focal points and the biggest reason why the large institution is well known is because of its Greek life.

Oh, you have not known Greek life until you have attended Fulton University or even done something as simple as attended Homecoming festivities. In fact, if you actually visit the school on the founding days of each organization, you are literally in for the best day and night of your life, guaranteed. Fulton University is known for having the best Greek system in the country. Part of this stems from the fact that come on now, Greek life. Greek life means partying, partying means fun, and everyone wants their college years to be the most fun moments of their lives. The bigger detail is that not only do you land jobs almost immediately after graduation and mostly sustain some of the strongest interpersonal relationships you ever will, but even as a student, you gain internships and opportunities kids like yourself can only dream of. To say you were part of the Greek System at Fulton is truly an amazing experience especially during their rush week. You have no idea of the insurmountable drama a week like that is bound to stir up among the organizations.

The Houses
The houses designated for each Greek organization, especially now after the two years of renovations for all of them, really reveal a lot about them just from one glance. It also can signify the relationships between them considering the Betas have probably been egged several times by the Sigmas, even though they claim faithfully that they have no idea how that happened. That being said, it's important to note that while most of the the members have met one another before pledging, they don't typically fraternize with those outside of their own organization. The Presidents (mostly Alpha's) definitely do not encourage this and are somewhat strict about hanging out with other members. Not that a good number of sorors and frats aren't privy to ignoring that fuckery in favor of talking to their freshman year roommate or designated best friend. However, romantic linkage between members that normally wouldn't be associated with one another? Trust that your fellow members (mostly Alphas and Betas) might actually have a problem with it. Keep this in mind once the relationship thread is posted.

Image
The girls of Alpha Theta Pi are the top girls at Fulton. I mean, look at them! They are absolutely gorgeous, charismatic, deceptive, and positively reek a sophisticated air that every freshman girl wishes she could emulate. At the same time, they are typically the most conniving, manipulative and backstabbing bitches that ever were. They are your mean girls (at least, most of them anyway) and you might have fooled yourself into thinking that you left chicks like them back in your hometown, but these are the girls that basically, in a sense, rule the institution. Guys flock to Alphas, but only the best of the best catch their attention and capture their hearts. Pledges are put through grueling sessions, but they still come back if they aren't cut from day one. Being an Alpha Theta Pi means being high maintenance in most cases, and the girls try to impress everyone. Their house is immaculate and always classically chic. It's very rare that you see a single detail out of place and each bedroom has at least one walk-in-closet. Their colors are bubble gum pink and green apple.

Image
If the Alpha girls are on top of the ladder, then the Betas are right by their sides and it's not hard to see why. Their house is the most massive out of all the Greek life homes. The guys of Beta Gamma Omega can be described as cocky, charming, and entitled. They're known for their money, charm, and looks. They definitely carry themselves with not only confidence, but the air that they are better than most. In some case, that actually might be true. The Beta Gamma Omegas were the first Greek life organization established on campus, so the arrogance has dated back since nearly a decade after the founding of the institution. Girls all over campus tend to fall at their feet and they love the attention. They are the brother house to the Alphas and the two are rarely seen at any event without at least one or the other. Their colors are crimson and silver.

Image
Most of the Thetas are known as the shy, sweet, caring, studious girls on campus. Of course, that doesn't mean all the Thetas fit the mold of the typical Theta Chi sweetheart. In fact, some are more spontaneous than the others. The big difference between these girls and the other sorors is that their course work comes before all else. After all, when your founder is in fact a member of the infamous Rockefeller family and was one of the few females to be able to compete with the top males of her graduating class, there are some expectations that you have to live up to. You may catch them at a party every once in a while, but they are by no means wild nor would they do anything to embarrass themselves or their sisters. They are ultimately known for their smarts and shockingly, their cleverness whenever needed. Being known as the nerds, the Thetas can be picked on by the other sororities like the Alphas, but being a member has its perks. For one, their house has the largest and most comfortable library on campus aside from the institution's own library and their computer lab is literally like a dream. They are the closest sorority on the house though and their sisterhoods last a lifetime. Their colors are powder-blue and cream.

Image
Kappas are the ultimate nice guys on campus known for their smarts, charm, and demeanor. Kappa Alpha is known for having the highest GPA within the fraternities and across campus. Naturally so, considering the founder of the organization is the current president of the institution and was the valedictorian of his graduating class. A legacy like that is hard to trump, even for the guys of Beta Gamma Omega. Of course they've been deemed nerds along side their sister house, Theta Chi. Their fraternity house, much like the Theta Chi house, is high-tech since renovation had occurred in the fall of last year and is run on sustainable energy. They tend to get ridiculed and left out, but they make the best of it. After all, not everyone hides behind their books or just comes up with ridiculously intelligent theories. In fact, you might find a good number of these guys branching out. They get along fabulously with one another however and love the Greek life. Their colors are navy blue and red.

Image
Ah, the Zetas! You can't even get through the first week without hearing about the Zetas. Zeta Nu Deltas are known for their party lifestyles. They tend not to care about what people think of them and throw outrageous parties. More than that, second to the Alphas (who are known to despise them for this little tidbit) the Zeta girls are the hottest girls in the entire institution. Hell, if you ask some of them, they ARE the hottest and it's not always just about looks. Perhaps it's the sultry way of a Zeta honey's hips as she moves to the heavy bass of the music, the way her fingers slide through her luscious hair, the curve of her lips, the twinkle in her eye. Either way you put it, these girls are alluring, mostly spontaneous and can either be the chillest girl you've ever met, or the most dangerous thing to your libido. Not like you'll complain either way. These girls are known for their risky behavior, carefree attitudes, and nightly partying. Leave it to them to have the house with two strip poles, a very spacious set of dance floors great for parties, and a wine cellar since their renovation this summer. Being a Zeta means you have exclusive access to parties where a good number of known names might stop at, the best memories, and a promise of never having a dull moment. Their colors are sapphire blue and canary yellow.

Image
The boys of Sigma Chi Delta are known as the bad boys, the ones that all girls love to hate. They're the guys that every girl thinks she can change. They are ultimately known for their mischief, parties, and drama they cause within the Greek System. They're the guys your mama warned you about way too many times and are the ultimate heartbreakers on campus. The tend to break rules, have fun, and generally do what they want. If there is any Greek organization who could possibly be on probation, it's the Sigmas. They just also know how to get out of trouble. However, don't get them twisted. They, just like their sisters - the Zetas - are college students. So, the idea that they are unintelligent beings is so far from the truth that it's rather ridiculous and insulting, just like the Betas meant it to be. Just like their sisters too, their house is typically found on the outskirts of the university, mostly because of the booming music, but always because that's the way they like it, and their house has the BEST man cave on campus. Their colors are black and medallion yellow.

Image
This story will start out with a group of Freshmen who haven't yet joined a house. We'll go through a rush week where the pledges visit each house and make their choices. More importantly, we start out with students who have already pledged their allegiance to a particular sorority or fraternity, and have already developed relationships with the current students, which should definitely be discussed further as characters are created and we approach the time for relationship sheet constructions. The pledges will receive bids from houses who have interests and such. There will be more detail when we get there!

1. This is not a first come, first serve roleplay. You don't like it, I'm sorry, but it's not changing. Hate to seem brusque, but I'm not explaining myself. You see a character whose status does not say TAKEN, you can compete for them. I'm looking for quality, keep that in mind.
2. Reserve as many characters as you can play successfully. Don't push yourself. At the same time, there will be NO reserving of two females unless there is a male character sandwiches between them. There is no getting around that. You can reserve two males, but I am trying to keep this ratio even.
2. Post on the OOC to reserve. Do NOT private message reservations, please. You will be ignored. The only reason you need to PM me is if you want to discuss character relations, there is a problem, you're considering a face claim change, or are trying to explain something personal. After you're reservation is made, you have ONE WEEK. That's more than enough time.
3. Since I brought up face claims know that these are different from the ones I originally had. At least, some of them are. Mostly because for diversity purposes. With that being said, I am WARY about changing them. I like them and understand that if I do permit a face claim change, you CANNOT exchange a POC for a white face claim. I'm not having it, end of story.
4. A character sheet will be provided, but I love when people get creative. I'm not creative, NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST. So all that lovely coding you people do, DO IT. I live for that shit and I have the utmost respect for it. So, if you can do it, please do it. Let me live through your awesome in my imagination.
5. As for post length, no one liners. You must post at least 300 words. I'm not trying to be a grammar Nazi, but this is a literate roleplay. I expect everyone to have the basic grasp writing.
6. Not that the first tag of this RP is ADULT. Meaning, adult situations. Note also that sex is included and partying usually consists of drugs. With that being said, this roleplay will consist of adult situations. Not saying that we're delving into Fifty Shades of Grey out here, but we're also not appealing to Little Einsteins either. So, know that there are adult situations and know yourself. If you're not comfortable with sex, drinking, violence and possibly drugs, this is not for you. I'm sorry.
7. I want to see interaction with EVERYONE. Just because your character doesn't get along doesn't mean you have an excuse to not talk to someone. Make drama. I don't care if Sally fucked Tim when Tim was dating Allison and Allison is George's baby mama, if it shall be, let it be. I live off of fictive drama. The more the merrier.
8. With number 7 said, make drama IN character not OUT OF character. If you have a problem let me or BleedingLover know. Guys, I don't need to see your beef in the OOC. That's too much. I'm a college student. That's unnecessary stress. Don't stress me out. Just PM me if shit hits the fan and if you feel like I can't handle it, then go to a moderator.
9.I know a few people who join and then disappear, and I do have the right to decline a reservation but, I will do it in PM. As much as I have probably been brusque in these rules, but I'm not rude. I'm also not dealing with people who have dissed me once or twice before in an RP. I'm just keeping it real with you. I try not abandon people as well, but I'm not dealing with it.
10.BleedingLover is my Co-GM and our decisions are law, what we say goes. Get it, got it, good. Then we don't have a problem! :D
11. HAVE FUN!!! This RP is in all good fun! :D
12. I know most people space the passwords out and all that good stuff, but I don't feel like re-numbering things and honestly, if you've gotten down to here, I honestly trust you to participate faithfully in my roleplay. The first password is your favorite ice cream. I'm nosy, so let me know. The second, is your character's dialogue color. You can find things like that here and here.

Thoughts on Greek Life: Just a few sentences on how your character feels about being a part of the Greek system, their feelings on the house they're in, and their overall opinion of the other frats/sororities. For freshman that are rushing, still put thoughts about Greek life, maybe what's influencing them to rush and what they think thus far of each Greek. Granted, they should have only heard whispers or rumors about each, and maybe interacted with one or two at some random point in time.

Plans for after college: What does your character plan to do with their lives after graduation? What are their goals and aspirations? Why did they choose their major?

Naomi's text message woke him up but it took another ten minutes for him to actually pull himself out of his bed. Sam knew that he was running late but wasn't too worried about it. He assumed that Miles and at least the sophomore Sigmas would already be down at the fair, working on their booth. As he grabbed a change of clothes and headed towards one of the bathrooms, he realized that a lot of other guys seemed to have slept in too. He caught a glimpse of Miles jogging downstairs and he passed Kyle on his way down the hall. There were probably a couple of sophomores at the booth so he still took his time as he showered and got dressed, but it was fitting that the Sigmas were a bit off schedule. As avid partiers, they always lived up to their reputation of sleeping in the next morning.

He was positive that he and Zoey had agreed that instead of him waking her up and getting breakfast together, that they would just meet at the fair. According to the sarcastic text message he just received from her though, she clearly had thought otherwise. He shook his head but instinctively smiled just at the sight of her name showing up on his phone. The pair bickered relentlessly but at the end of the day, loved each other unconditionally.

To: Zoey
Don't pin this one on me! U said u were gonna set ur alarm

He was already approaching the Activities Fair when he sent the text but wanted to get his side out before he found Zoey. God only knew he wouldn't be able to get a word of defense in when he was actually with her. Plus, he figured that he needed to check out the Sigma booth before wandering off to find Zoey. However, upon approaching the Sigma booth, he realized that he had killed two birds with one stone. Along with his brothers, he found Zoey stepping away from the booth, after accepting a bottle of something from Miles.

"Come on, really? It's noon and you've got freshman to make a good impression on," he said, plucking the bottle from her hands. He was grinning, but it was sourced more from just seeing her and not from her antics. She hated him for it, but he felt it necessary to police her drinking. It was one thing to do it at parties but even as a Zeta, she didn't need to be doing it now at the first event of the week. Naomi was the Zeta president, but as her right hand girl, he felt like Zoey needed to be mentally-present to help out today. After a swift kiss, he smiled at her and took a few steps closer to the Sigma booth. "I'll bring some food over to you in a minute." He doubted that his brothers had organized anything special, and especially not compared to whatever the Betas and Alphas would have put together. He was right. Miles was grilling Kyle for their display which Sam thought to be decent, but was definitely weak compared to its surroundings.

"I don't think we did too bad," he said as he approached the pair. "The douches will gravitate to Jack, the geeks to Emery, and we'll be left with the good ones," he shrugged. "I will say, though, that those burgers the Betas are cooking smell pretty good. You wanna grab some for me and Zoe?" he said. Sam didn't get along with Jack and wasn't close with any of the other Betas, but he knew that Miles was at least civil with Jack. Worst comes to worst, he figured that he could head over to Emery's booth and take some of whatever they were cooking for he and Zoey.

Poppy was looking towards the Kappa table, wondering why Arty and Andy weren't there yet. Both of them always woke up early, so she was just wondering why they weren't there. But, if you would have asked Gigi, she would tell you she was more worried about her little boyfriend than Arty. Giselle still hasn't let up on wanting to know every detail of her trip to New York with Andy. But, Poppy just kept saying later, later, later. As if she was waiting for a good time. But, they shared a room so there had to be more to it... Right?

Before Poppy knew it, someone had come up to her and hug her by surprise. She squealed softly out of shock only to hear the voice of her close friend, Naomi. "I couldn't go the day without hugging my favorite Theta, now could I?"

"Oh please, she's everyone's favorite Theta." Giselle said in her all too common smartass voice as Poppy stuck out her tongue and hugged Nomi back before softly giving her a peck on the cheek. " I am definitely not everyone's favorite Theta and if I was, don't be jealous. It's not a cute look on you, Ellie." Poppy said in sarcasm just as Gigi flipped her the bird and turned her eyes to a guy walking up to the table. "Naomi, right? I just wanted to apologize for yesterday.." Poppy quickly ruffled her eyebrows together as she let out a small pout, turning towards Gigi who had a smirk on her face. Great, just what Gigi needed. More gossip and 'juice' as she called it. Poppy listened to his apology and in all honesty, she kind of felt like it was...somewhat sincere. But, Gigi knew better. It took a bullshitter to know a bullshitter and this guy, whoever he was was giving a complete bullshit apology because he probably felt like he had to. Yea, Giselle knew the guy this guy was playing all too well.

Both Giselle and Poppy's eyes switched directly to Naomi to see exactly what she would say to him. But, while Giselle's attention stayed on the two, Poppy's attention went directly to someone else. Andrew Drexler, he was easily her best friend. He's was sweet and smart, accepting and compassionate. And while people liked to say opposites attract, Andy and Poppy were that ones who proved that to be invalid. They were one of the same; at least in Poppy's eyes and they turned out to be as close as two people could be. Not to mention, she may have had one of the biggest crushes on him. And while she knew it was cliche and completely unrealistic... A girl could dream, couldn't she? She only snapped out of it when he greeted her and smiled at her. "Good morning, sunshine," She smiled back at him as he called her by her nickname, that only he really called her by as he moved past Naomi and the mystery guy and towards her. Giselle's grin grew slowly as Andrew moved closer to Poppy. If anyone knew about Andy and Poppy, it was Giselle. Poppy told her everything about everything and her crushes/romantic fantasies and aspirations were no different. Poppy smiled brightly towards him."Morning, Andy."

"Well hi, Andrew. Nice to see you too." Giselle said just before he turned towards her and the other Theta, Lianne. Only to turn his attention back to the blonde beauty right next to him.Giselle got up from her seat and sat on the table just so she could see over Andrew or at least Poppy, just in case Naomi did something interested or Andy and Poppy finally did something... Like hold hands, at least. But, no. They still wanted to live in denial. Which was fine; For now but, before Poppy graduated, Giselle was going to make Popdrew (Poppy and Andrew) a thing.

"Who's the boy?" Poppy shrugged softly as she went on her tiptoes to whisper in his ear and laid her hands on his shoulder. She didn't even realize that she was shaking more than usual, which meant either it was getting worse or she didn't take her medicine. Either way, Andy was going to think something was wrong and ask her about it. "I have no idea, I think something happened between him and Nomi." She told him before moving back towards the ground and laying her head on his shoulder as she looked back towards Naomi and the guy, not even having to look behind her to know what Gigi was smirking at the sight of the two while keeping one ear on the conversation that had started before Andrew walked up.

The amount of guys that stopped at the Beta table stressed Jack's belief that their house had no competition when it came to rushing interest. Every guy wanted to be a Beta, but since only some could actually make the cut, the rest were left to choose between the second-choice options of Sigma and Kappa. The thing about the Beta Gamma Omega house, as Jack believed, was that you could get the best of both worlds in it. Most of the guys were smart enough to pass their classes, and could definitely have a good time at parties. Maybe they weren't all valedictorians like the Kappas or drink until you pass out party animals like the Sigmas, but they could enter both realms when they wanted to. Jack was convinced, at least from his own experience, that Beta was the house that every guy wanted to join.

He spoke to as many of the rushers as he could, although only a few of them struck his attention as being potential Betas. He liked to think that he wasn't nearly as judgmental or critical as Elysia could be, but as he conversed with the freshman, he had his own list of criticism piling up.

You think we want someone like you representing our house? Buy some Proactiv and then come talk to me.

Lose the Bieber haircut, dude. This isn't 2009.

Weak handshake.

Too timid.

What the fuck kind of name is Ulysses?

The first definite no came after Naomi stole a water bottle out of one of their coolers and strutted past them. "Hey, someone should let her know that it's water and not vodka in there!" Jack called out after her. She didn't turn around or offer a response, but his eyes lingered on her moving form until she disappeared into the crowd. His attention was only directed back at three of the boys standing in front of him when the tallest of the three spoke to the other two.

"You hear that accent? Banging a foreign girl is on my college bucket list." Had it been said about anyone other than Naomi, Jack probably would have chuckled and thought well of the boy. He made an effort to act unaffected by the remark, but he had already decided this kid had zero chance of becoming a Beta.

Pretending not to have heard the comment, he continued his conversation with the three about the Beta house and charity work they did, before offering each of them a handshake again. Before they departed, he addressed the tall one. "What was your name again?"

He seemed to interpret the question in a positive way, as if he had maybe stuck out as being a likely candidate for the house and beamed with pride. "Kevin Sawyer."

"Alright, cool. Thanks for stopping by, guys. Make sure you grab some food, too."

After making a mental note to personally reject Kevin Sawyer later that week, he switched places with one of the other senior Betas who had been working a grill. Jack enjoyed cooking a lot, and grilling was his specialty. No matter how small the occasion was, he would fire up the grill outside the Beta house and cook steaks. It was a ritual for him to do it every night before a big exam and although he sometimes got slack for some of the fancier things he would cook inside, no one seemed to complain about his borderline obsession with barbecuing.

He was in his zone as he examined each piece of meat on his grill, occasionally calling over a sophomore to take the plates of finished foods over to the table they had set up. When he spotted Antonio returning to their booth, he waved him over. "Disney, would you do me a favor? We need some Alpha girls over here to, you know, brighten things up," he grinned. "Tell Elysia we want Grace, Natalie, that blonde sophomore chick... I think her name is Julie... and you take your pick on one more." He had seen Grace passing by moments before and was glad that she had finally arrived. He wasn't really partial to the Alpha girls that Elysia sent over since they were all attractive, but he wanted to actually talk to Grace. In return, he would have to send some Beta boys her way. It was something that the brother-sister houses did every year to make a point that as a member of either house, you were guaranteed to associate with the most attractive members of the opposite sex. An extra incentive, as if all of the perks of being an Alpha or Beta weren't already enough.

"Hunter, Bas, Dan, Charlie, any of you want to go hang out at the Alpha booth?" he asked. He was sure that the answer for most of them would be yes. It seemed hard for anyone to pass up an opportunity to socialize with those girls, especially with the feast-worthy amount of food he knew Elysia had brought.

Naomi laughed fully at Gigi's quick response while Poppy made more of a retort towards her best friend. Naomi had loved their chemistry the second she had met the two and it always served to entertain her. She loved best friends like that - relationships like that. It was a shame Poppy was graduating this year while Gigi stayed, but the two of them would no doubt keep in touch after Poppy walked across the stage. "You guys are so..." Naomi didn't finish as two familiar faces flashed in her peripheral, one a bit closer than the other and already reaching the Theta table. Well, well. If it isn't my little "friend" from orientation. Miss me?" Sebastian Collins asked and Naomi grinned a bit, casting her eyes fully in his direction.

"Of course, love." She could still see him approaching and focused her attention and energy on Sebastian, at least until she could get the kid on the path of exploring the other booths. "Well, if someone would check his school email, he'd know that it's the Activities Fair. Go be productive and check out the booths. There's free food and all you have to do is hear everyone give you crappy information for two minutes." That thing was definitely behind Sebastian now and Naomi, tense already, cast the boy a weary look. And she was serious about calling Alexandri those terms because he didn't deserve to be acknowledged by his name and most of all, he didn't deserve to be anywhere near any of the Greek organizations. He wasn't good enough to be a Beta or a Kappa, and the Sigmas would chew him alive. He never needed to even consider looking at a fabulous Alpha or an intelligent Theta, and he damn sure didn't need to look at her beautiful Zetas. He needed to take the nearest flight back to Russia with his racist, bigoted, narcissistic, rude, insufferable -

Naomi didn't react much when he asked about her name. She simply stared blankly, willing him to get this on with so she could either curse his name to the lowest levels of hell or punch him like her cousin Sonny taught her back in the fifth grade when she was getting bullied, and her Nana had warned that if she came home with one more ripped uniform, the next thing that was going to be ripped was Naomi. Not only was his presence rancid, but the putrid scent of his cigarette floated to her nose, sending a wave of bile to her throat and disgust to her stomach, which she was beginning to think was more because she was in the bastard's presence, but what was she going to say? "I wanted to apologize for yesterday. It was wrong of me to judge you for the color of your skin and I am truly sorry. I'm not gonna ask for you to forgive me. Just wanted you to know that I feel bad for it."

Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit! That was the mantra going on in Naomi's head as she allowed his words to sink in, allowed them to ice over, but not heal the wound she had in her heart where her respect for him as an individual should have been, and she hummed monotonously. Because at the end of the day, those words don't come out, out of nowhere. No, they symbolized deep feelings of hatred and his apology was nothing more than the apology so many black people heard by the late eighties by white individuals they might have been in high school with who realized that if they didn't stop their racist ways, they could be excluded from opportunities that their white privilege would have already afforded him. And Naomi was in her right mind to tell him about himself, and yet...

Why bother? The anger fumed beneath the stony disposition she offered Alexandri, rankling in such a way that she could feel it deep in her bones. She was the youngest and first minority president of a Greek organization at Fulton University, known for being a predominantly white institute. She was in the top 5% of her class and top 10% of the entire school in terms of grade point averages. She was well-liked and she was the mature one in this situation, not this child - and yes, she was going to call him a child despite probably only being a year and some months older than him. The point of the matter is that she would be justified in simply calling him out, in not believing him and turning the little shit away. However, as her Nana and Poppy had taught her, forgiveness was bigger than hatred and her being as hateful as he had been would do no one any good. Besides, she wanted the freshmen to have fun - not him specifically, but all the precious babies - and her blowing up yet again wasn't going to do anything other than sour some people's moods. And she couldn't be the reason why no one came to the Zeta booth.

"Fine," she said with a flippant wave, tone as light as she could make it despite the edge she could feel clawing at her throat. "Pretend it never happened and let bygones be bygones." She didn't want to see Alexandri now and had half the mind to text Miles and Emery to not let them come even remotely near their tables. But she didn't. Naomi gestured to the other booths before saying, "You should go check out the other booths like all the other freshmen. It'll be fun and I'm sure one of them have free booze." That part came out because suddenly, Naomi was in a place where liquor needed to be her best friend or someone needed to play some music she liked. Feeling done with Alexandri, she dismissed him by turning her full attention to her girls, eyes falling more on Giselle for a moment than Poppy. Because she knew. She knew that between the two Thetas, Giselle knew - knew that Alexandri was a full-blown liar and Naomi was two seconds from giving him a shiner if he didn't get the hell away from or, or she didn't go back to her tent. Naomi hadn't even known that Andrew was there and nodded in his direction. Smiling tightly, she decided to bid everyone goodbye, "Alright, loves. Zetas have a lot of snacks if you want anything. I should go back before anyone decides to set out that cheesecake in this heat. See you at the jamboree tonight and you better wear something cute, Poppy." She gave the blonde a pointed look before moving back in the direction of her own booth, unscrewing the top to her bottle and taking a sip of the cool contents within, allowing them to chill the heat of her anger before she got back to her girls.

To her pleasure, Amelia was finally there and Naomi was quick to hug her little Zeta sister, surprising herself by needing affection - of all things - at the moment but not pulling away until the sophomore hugged her back. "Please tell me you've got some dance for us to perform because I've got music and a lot of excess energy to burn off right now." She and Amelia had danced to many times in their dorm to not have something up their sleeves, but Naomi was leaving it in the sophomore's hands to lead. Because if she really wanted to burn this excess energy, she'd either go punch Alexandri or snatch Jack up and fuck him in some unknown location. And another part of her was pretty sure she could do the former first and then still do the second, but that was bad and she wasn't trying to seem suspicious today. She also glanced over at Zoey, "And I was wrong. There needs to be alcohol. Tell me you've found some."

Zoey grinned as a bottle was tossed to her. "You're the best," she thanked Miles as she spun around to return to the Zeta table, only to almost run right into Sam. He snatched the bottle of liquor from her hands and made a comment about how it was only noon and she needed to focus on talking to the rushers and not drinking. With a roll of her eyes and some sass of her own, Zoey pulled the bottle back from his hands. "Thanks for the advice, but I've got my dad on speed dial for lectures like those." She knew that Sam meant well. He had his personal reasons for being way of alcohol and Zoey had proved that she could get slightly out of hand after one too many drinks, but she wanted him to be her boyfriend, not father. His good intentions aside- if she wanted to drink, you could bet your ass that she was going to drink whether Sam approved of it or not. After returning his peck, she nodded at his offer of food. "Don't take too long this time!" she warned, turning her head back after she had already started towards the Zeta booth.

She returned to her seat in front of the table and when she was convinced no one important was looking, she poured a small amount of vodka into a few random Jello shot glasses. We'll see who can handle the heat, she thought to herself, remembering how Naomi had instructed some of the freshman to take a shot when they got to the booth. She then topped one with a more-than-generous amount of alcohol and downed it herself. The best way to start a day.

After placing the bottle in a bag by her feet, she spotted Amelia approaching. She smiled instantly, knowing that the girl was usually nothing but cheer. "Hey! Nothing really. Naomi just ran off somewhere and I'm ready to go back to bed," she explained. "What about you? Where have you been hiding all morning?" It probably had something to do with dance since that seemed to be the girl's entire life. Not that Zoey blamed her. She had seen Amy dance before and the girl was quite good.

Zoey was glad to see Naomi return, not just because she loved her friend, but because she was getting tired of having to repeat the same speech to passing freshman every two minutes. Naomi had been voted president for a reason, and her enthusiasm and dedication to the sorority were two that topped the list. However, she didn't seem to be in as good of a mood as she had left in and maybe it was out of her own dislike for him, but Zoey wanted to blame Jack. Naomi's request for alcohol wasn't unusual and Zoey knew she was pulling a Sam, but she shook her head. "Do you really think a good citizen like me is going to give alcohol to two underage girls this early in the day?!" she asked sarcastically. Zoey was frequently the one making checklists of what types of liquor everyone wanted when she made her almost daily runs to the liquor store. Still, at least when she was sober, she did take on a bit of a maternal role in the house and since she had no plans to remain sober today, someone was going to need to be coherent enough to represent Zeta.

'Craziness is like heaven'.

Kellin woke up with an expression of pure horror. She'd slept in by not far off an hour more than she would usually and 20 minutes more than she could get away with. She sat up wide-eyed and her hair stretched out past her shoulder, static and an embarrassing mess. She groaned miserably when she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the rotating mirror resting on her bed side table as a constant reminder of her short comings. She swung her legs out of bed cursing bitterly as she scrambled around her room grabbing at clothes hanging out of drawers and chasing time to gather up her things before people noticed her absence downstairs. Diving into a pair of roll-up ripped skinny blue jeans, she hopped around her room and standing in the mirror, only half-dressed and 'flying low' she started raking a brush through her mess of hair and tried to get it looking at least slightly decent. Once she'd brushed it she realised she basically had a half straight and half crinkled look going on, so she voted for chucking it up on the top of her head in a slightly scruffy bun. Image She didn't even have time to put contact lenses in (to her own dismay) and had to clean her glasses on her loose floaty vest as she pulled it on over the top of a tighter black one. She checked herself in the mirror and became aware of the fact her zipper was completely forgotten and thankful she'd caught it before she left her room, she pulled it up and slipped into some beaten up burgundy converse. Grabbing a cardigan and pulling arm warmers on (more as part of her quirky fashion sense then for the practicality of wearing them) she ran out the door- her alarm ringing away still as she slammed the door behind her.

Tapping at her phone furiously, she was rushing out of her door as quickly as she possibly could; she typed out a message;

To Paige:
Over-slept like a year, cover for me? If it's needed? PLEASSSSEEEEE?

She had no recollection of what could have been going on today but she was certain, something was happening and it really worried her that she didn't remember. She knew obviously it was the best day back in classes and everything like that but there was something else, she was almost sure there was something else but then again, there probably wasn't since she didn't even know what day it was at this point in time. She made her way downstairs and then off towards the hall and she looked around at all the tables and blinked slightly, it felt busier than usual but that was probably the buzz about everyone coming back. She sighed slightly and with an exhausted expression made her way over to the Theta table and looked around at the others rubbing her forehead with a sigh of relief to be downstairs and to see that nothing too important seemed to be going on right that moment. She sat down, cross legged on her chair and sighed taking the moment to drink from the bottle of the water, she'd rammed into her bag on the way downstairs. Then she looked up as she put the drink away again and looked at the other's striking an all too typical 'Kellin' cheery smile.

"Hey guys! I have had the most insane morning so far- well not insane but busy- no dysfunctional," She corrected herself multiple times as she leant back in her chair, tilting her head back over the edge of it in exhaustion, wondering why on the first day back at school she had to be so late. She couldn't stop thinking how she must look like absolute shit and she'd probably forgotten everything she needed for that day but she kept cracking smiles and tried not to get all whiny and stressed about it. It was too late to fix any of it anyway, she should have been prepared and a thousand times more organised. I'll do that tomorrow, I'll be ready. She thought to herself and then she scoffed at the idea and shook her head almost amused Nah, no I god damn won't.

"Hey! Nothing really. Naomi just ran off somewhere and I'm ready to go back to bed, what about you? Where have you been hiding all morning?"

Childishly smiling Amelia held the lollipop to one side of her mouth as she ate the rest of the of the cupcake. " Aww and here I wanted to hug her good morning!" the dancer pouted slightly but it quickly turned back into that cute smile of hers.

" Well milady, I have been dancing all morning. I felt the groove and needed to let it out, I finally got that choreograph I was working on down!" she almost beamed with pride as she struck a comical superhero stance with her hands on her hips, valiantly looking towards the sky. The young woman laughed a bit at her own silly action after realizing it was a silly thing to do and dropped her hands.

Suddenly Amy felt arms around her and tilted her head back slightly enough to see who it was. She smiled again when she saw it was Naomi and turned in her arms to hug back. " Naomi!" she smiled and spoke a bit muffled because of the tight hug, not like she minded at all actually, she loved affection.

"Please tell me you've got some dance for us to perform because I've got music and a lot of excess energy to burn off right now."

Smiling to herself, Amy already knew what song she felt like dancing to. It was a routine the whole group new and had fun doing. Pulling her phone from her pocket she plugged it up to the small but loud portable speaking that amazing bass then went over to her backpack and slipped on her socks and shoes. The choreograph was a collaboration of both Amy and Naomi but there was also another song the dancer wanted to dance too but she thought she would leave that one for last, as a surprise because it was a fun little dance they haven't done in a while. "Request is mine, captain."

The song began to play and Amy flawlessly went with the grove, letting Naomi join in when ever she wanted. She knew that her sister knew the choreograph so she could jump in whenever she wanted with the correct moves. During the part of the choreograph where they had to do the patty cake Amy couldn't help but to laugh for that couple of seconds before returning to the foot movements. By the time the song finished, Amy wasn't at all tired she smiled and looked over to Naomi. "I've got a surprise for you." she cooed as she spun her hat back around and lowered it a bit so it looked like it covered her eyes.

Once more another song began to play and Amy couldn't help but to joke around a bit in the beginning and point towards Zoe signaling her to come over with a finger. This song was a three person dance and Amy had actually taught Zoe the whole choreograph for this song because of that reason. When that bass hit though so did Amy and hard, she caught Kellin from the corner of her eye as she danced and winked at her with a smirk. She did the same with random people watching her to grab their attention more making a few people blush. Amy also did winked at both Emerson and Elysia earning a rather interesting response from them.

After that good five minutes of dancing the dancer exhaled loudly. " That. Was. Awesome!" the girl didn't even notice the small crowd they had attracted around their booth. At least her dancing brought them some freshmen and she felt a bit accomplished about it. Without a second though the asian bowed with a bright smile then collapsed on the grass panting a bit then loudly exclaimed. " I wanna go to bed now!" which earned some laughs and giggles from the crowd.

For a second it looked as if she was going to fall asleep in the cool shade but instead Amy shot straight up walking over to Kellin. She crouched down next to her chair and greeted her with a kiss on the lips that took her a good second to pull away from. "Mmm, Morning beautiful." she smiled before holding her hand out to her. " Wanna dance? I think I got a nice smooth song we can dance too."

Leave it to Zoey to suddenly turn responsible when she received a request for alcohol. Not that Naomi wasn't appreciative for it since it did remind her that she was supposed to be behaving, and not being reckless. She sighed as Amelia returned her hug, sticking her tongue out at Zoey before exclaiming petulantly, "Thanks, mom. You suck." Naomi then turned her attention to Amelia fully.

She had fallen madly in love with Amelia's energy from day one and they've been close ever since. The fact that they connected that easily and they both were performers really solidified Naomi's love for her, which was why Naomi had been so happy when Amelia became her little sister. They spent a lot of time goofing off and choreographing routines at the Zeta house - too much time, really, but it was always fun. Naomi hadn't realized it until Amelia had gotten there, but the Zetas needed another person like that and if willing, she could definitely see Amelia as her vice-president next year and the possible president once Naomi graduated, but she wasn't going to tell the dance major that. Not yet, anyway. "You're the best." She said as Amelia set her IPod up. Suddenly, their music overpowered the Betas and Naomi could feel the familiar tingle of excitement in her soul once the music filled the space.

Naomi fell into the rhythm only a second after Amelia, beckoning a few Zetas who had seen Amelia and Naomi messing around with the song too many times to not pick up on a few moves. She moved seamlessly - free and unbothered by the obvious attention she was getting. That's what performing did for her; it brought Naomi to another realm where the outside world didn't matter and all she needed to do was feel the music as it thrummed in her veins. Jack could have very well been watching and she wouldn't have given one single fuck. She laughed when they came to the patty cake section of the dance, the sound bubbling from her mouth uncontained and carefree, before falling back into the routine with a pop, grinning at the sight of interested freshmen who were getting in the groove. Ending on a slight pose, Naomi quirked an eyebrow at Amelia's words, not knowing where she was going but obviously trusting her.

When the song changed and Amelia began fooling around, Naomi clutched her belly, her laugh loud and thoroughly amused before she too got involved. It didn't matter if there was a routine to this; it was just to have fun and be free. She pointed over to where Miles and Sam were, beckoning them and even pointed to Bennett to see if he would come over. She pulled in a few freshmen who, at first, were wary on joining, but Naomi wasn't taking no for an answer and yanked them on over anyway. They danced and grooved beneath the Florida sun. Naomi slowly winded her body and even twerked on a few fellow Zetas. All too soon, the music stopped and the crowd that gathered applaued, and someone had wrapped their arms around her waist from behind, causing a surprised squeak to blurt past her lips before Naomi recognized them. Grinning, the crowd dispersed, with a good number of the girls coming over to talk to the Zetas and Naomi more than willing to talk them, swiping at the sweat that had gathered on her brow. As she came back to their side of the booth, she swiped a Jell-O-shot and downed it, only to be surprised by the bite of alcohol. She immediately glanced at Zoey. "Why am I not surprised!" She exclaimed, not really mad but with a playful and chastising tone.

."Well looks who's big man on campus. Lead the way. "
He smirked, generally amused at being called a big man on campus. In a sense, he was, given his status at the Sigma house along with all the parties they threw. Growing up he was never one to be very popular, but college had changed that a bit. He had always liked parties and having fun in the most exciting forms he could imagine, but college gave him a place to find people to do it with him, and he found that important. Being at the Sigma house built a family for him that he knows he didn't have before. Even after graduating, some of the brothers he'd probably keep in touch with for as long as he was able.

Karma nudged him, "You could have warned me that your whole frat house are sports illustrated fans. I've never seen guys get that excited about a girl they've already seen half naked. " he laughed, figuring it was a joke because probably every boy on campus had seen half naked at least once. On the contrary, he hadn't even recognised her until she brought it up. Then it clicked of course. She laughed at that, possibly a little too hard, but it was cute and he couldn't help but chuckle as well. In general so far he found her to be quite charming in an adorable way. She was girlish in the way she walked and stood beside him. Innocent in some way, maybe childish but she was obviously mature. Playful would be the right word maybe. Or just flirty. Even when she asked him curiously about all the girls he was probably fucking he smiled.

"From what I can tell you can have any girl here and if I had to guess I'd say you've had your fair share so why are you parading a freshman, though a super hot freshman if I do say so myself, around? " He raised an eyebrow at her, amused. "Sorry if that's a bit blunt. " She bit her lip. See, adorable, he thought.

"Well," he began, "if you must know, It is true, you are super hot," he quoted, "and yeah maybe that's why I noticed you jogging by, but I don't know. You seem fun. In a person way. Someone who's up for an adventure. You're easy to talk to, from what I've experienced, and it seems like people are generally drawn to you. I see that as a good sign." He smiled, being sincere with his words. He did believe all the things he said, but considered he could be completely wrong. He hardly knew her. "Does that sound accurate?"

He slipped his hand onto her back again, directing her towards the fair while she looked down at her phone. Her blond hair brushed his fingers lightly, and he couldn't help but watch her as she texted her friends and put her phone away again. She was quite beautiful, no one could deny that. Even now as they stood on the outside of the event he could feel people glancing over and giving their stares for a moment.

She smiled turning to him, "I have to find Elysia's booth. I don't know if you know her? She's the president of the Alpha's? I've known her since we were three so she's like the big sister I always wanted. I have to see Naomi's too. I met her during orientation and she's kinda trying to get me to be a Zeta."

He raised his eyebrow, "A Zeta?" he nodded, "I think you'd fit in pretty well.. Alpha? You're too nice to be an Alpha. But I can show you both of the booths. If you don't mind I'll be taking you to the only actually important booth first." He laughed. "Which I probably should've been at already, but I couldn't pass up getting to show you around. Wasn't sure if I'd ever get the opportunity again."

He lead her to the Sigma's booth, pacing himself a bit faster than average. "Nice of you to join us, pal." Miles sarcastically spit towards Kyle as he approached the table. "Iโ€™m going to go ahead and take it that you didnโ€™t put any of this together? Looks fine but we couldโ€™ve done better, donโ€™t you think?"

"What?" he exclaimed, "Miles it looks great. If it were done any better then I couldn't take credit for any of it." He joked, slapping Miles on his back in a friendly manor. He knew Miles was probably annoyed at him, but Kyle had planned out a good part of it and organized the Sophomores to set it up. The booth was fine and no one would remember what it looked like tomorrow anyway. He followed Miles' gaze to Emerson, who was currently making her appearance into the fair. It was kind of like watching a movie, slow motion, her short hair being tossed over her shoulder. All the Alphas kind of seemed to walk in slow motion. At least Kyle imagined it that way for his own amusement. He knew Miles still had some baggage from he and Em's relationship, but in Kyle's opinion it was maybe for the best. Lucky, Sam came to divert the attention.

Along with a bottle of alcohol and Zoey, Sam approached the two.
"I don't think we did too bad, The douches will gravitate to Jack, the geeks to Emery, and we'll be left with the good ones.
Kyle smiled in agreement.
"I will say, though, that those burgers the Betas are cooking smell pretty good. You wanna grab some for me and Zoe?" Sam asked Miles.

Kyle cut in then,"By the way," he said, "I want you all to meet my lovely new friend, Karma." He took her hand and pulled her closer to the two of them since she'd been standing a bit away. He smiled his classic smirky grin. He leaned closer to Miles, speaking a little quieter, "and if you don't mind she'll be the reason I'm not managing the booth.." He knew he was pulling some strings, but it's not like it was hard to manage and he figured as punishment Miles would put him in charge of cleaning things up. Which, in turn, he would actually do.

He hadn't really looked at Zoey yet since she'd arrived, but he took a moment to look at her now. Her caught her eyes, only for a moment, but maybe held them too long. He smiled slowly at her, then widely as he looked back to Miles and Sam. Whatever happened between Zoey and him was the past, and he was happy to see Sam and her together. Besides, Karma could be promising, he thought as he gave her hand a small squeeze.

Grace knew that she was going to have to explain herself at some point, and doing so to Delilah was definitely going to be easier than to Elysia. "Oh, don't worry about it. I was up late talking to my parents on the phone and I didn't want to keep anyone up, so I just stayed with Zoey." It seemed like a decent excuse. Only a few people knew of the Drexler family tension involving Andrew, but Delilah was one of them. Although Grace knew that Elysia was close enough with Andrew to actually have the guts to ask him herself if Grace was lying, Delilah wasn't, and the excuse would at least suffice for now.

She looked back towards Elysia, still contemplating whether it would be less painful to just confront the situation now, or let Elysia do it when she wanted to. She decided to put it off for at least a little while longer. Even though she hadn't been acknowledged scooting past the three, she was sure that Elysia had seen her and it seemed better to at least wait until she finished speaking with Emerson and Emery to explain herself. "Why? Is she pissed?" she asked in a purposely calm and careless tone, but obviously referring to Elysia. Grace was good at acting like she didn't care because when it came to confrontations with most people, she really didn't care. She was used to being catty and viscous and rarely feared having to explain herself to anyone but Elysia was certainly one of the people who didn't fall into that category. She was quite possibly the only person that Grace knew her place around, actually.

Her eyes wandered to the booth on the opposite side of the way from them, where she heard loud music playing. She grimaced at the sight of Amelia Park, one of the Zeta sophomores, attempting to coax Zoey into dancing with her. That girl is beyond tacky, she thought, shaking her head in disgust as the girl basically begged for attention by making such a scene. When Naomi joined in and pulled others in with her, it only became more of an eyesore. Typical Zetas. I don't know how the hell Zoey deals with being around that trash all day. Had she caught some of the other Alphas allowing her to hang all over them moments earlier, she certainly would have shut that down. It had nothing to do with homophobia (although some might argue that Grace's relationship with Andrew at least borderlined it) as much as it did with the PDA being a poor representation of the Alpha house.

Karma was pleased with Kyle's response. "Spot on gorgeous. ". It was pretty damn accurate if she was honest with herself. She usually liked having a little mystery. She didn't do it to be coy or anything like that. More like she always felt that you should leave them wanting more. Especially guys like Kyle. Even though she didn't have much practice with guys, she leaned from some of the hottest women in the world how to intrigue a man without tricking him. However for some strange reason she felt no need to be wary of him.

She bit her lip when he mentioned he didn't want to risk missing an opportunity to show her around. " You wouldn't have. I go for runs every morning at six am and at eight pm. Your house is on my route too so I'd estimate that if your a early riser you'd see me twice a day if not you'd see me once and it you hadn't made a move I would have sweetheart. " She said with a cheeky grin.

She laughed lightly at his assessment that she would fit in with the Zetas better. " Oh please you have to say that, they're your sister house." She grinned up at him and winked. As soon as they arrived at his booth, Miles, who she had already met was on him. She couldn't help the little shot of pleasure she got when Kyle took her hand. When Kyle introduced her to Miles she sent Miles a wink, " We've actually already met" She said lightly kissing miles on his cheek European style, "Freshman orientation. Tiny dress, big blonde curls. " she added helpfully. She loved that dress, it was a baby doll dress that rested way high up on her thigh. She paired it with over the knee socks, a pair of light blue doc martens and a tiny backpack. Super adorable, it made her feel like a baby doll. She nodded at Sam and sent him a small smile before smiling at Zoey.

When she felt Kyle squeeze her hand she gently squeezed his back and snuggled deeper into his side. She didn't miss Kyle saying that he was going to miss managing the booth to stay with her. Lightly, she bit her lip to hold back a grin. She turned to look for Naomi or Elysia and spotted a familiar pair of hooded sharp green eyes. Bennett, one of the freshmen said his name was Bennett. When his eyes met hers and she realized she had gotten caught looking she simply smiled widely and grinned. She spotted Jack too and smiled. She met Jack when he and Elysia had gone to school together but she doubted he remembered her much.

Finally she found Naomi and grinned when she saw them dancing. " Well want to brave the Alpha's or risk getting dragged into dancing?" She said quirking an eyebrow.

Miles stood close by to his booth, with his back turned to it as he noticed Emerson inching her way closer to her new girlfriend, Elysia. There was a bittersweet sense in seeing Emerson but Miles knew that it was perhaps best he didnโ€™t talk to her. Although, there was a riveting pain in his throat that urged him on to say the crudest things that formulated in his mind. You have to be fucking kidding me? You left me for that bitch?! What the hell can she give you that I never did? Itโ€™s bullshit and you fucking know it. There were multitudes of names that rattled his skull as he contemplated actually walking over to them and spitting out his hate. He decided against it though. He turned his attention back to Kyle who had a girl glued to his hip. โ€œWhat? Miles, it looks great. If it were done any better than I couldnโ€™t take credit for any of it.โ€ Kyle jokingly patted Miles on the back but Miles certainly wasnโ€™t amused. Miles noted the girl hanging just behind Kyle and smiled softly at her. โ€œBy the way, I want you to meet my lovely new friend, Karma. โ€œ Miles looked the girl from head to toe. She was really cute, Miles couldnโ€™t deny that. They had actually already met that previous week. He hadnโ€™t caught her name but he definitely remembered her. โ€œFreshman orientation. Tiny dress, big blond curls.โ€ Kyle leaned in closer to Miles and softly spoke into his ear to keep the girl from hearing, โ€œand if you donโ€™t mind, sheโ€™ll be the reason Iโ€™m not managing the booth.โ€ Kyle continued. Immediately, almost as if it was an instinct when it came to Kyle, Miles rolled his eyes and sighed heavily. He leaned away from Kyle and looked around the courtyard. The crowd wasnโ€™t ridiculous, it was definitely something Miles could handle on his own but that wasnโ€™t the point. The point was that this was a group effort to gain new freshman pledge potentials and he needed his right hand man there to help out with the decision making. โ€œYeah, fine Kyle. But you owe me.โ€ Miles knew that if Kyle and this girl were to end up together, heโ€™d get side tracked with house work. He looked the girl up and down again and smiled. โ€œYou like older guys huh? Well careful with this one.โ€ Miles joked โ€“ partially. Miles excused himself from the two and nodded back to Sam to sign that he was going over to the Beta table to grab food.

โ€œJack, my dear boy, donโ€™t think you guys look pretentious enough with this booth. Why donโ€™t you try a little harder next time?โ€ Miles smirked toward Jack and his boys as he moved closer to them. โ€œHey princess, make me a few burgers there, will ya?โ€ He called out to the kid at the grill whose name he never cared to learn. Why learn names of the ones that are irrelevant? Miles never wasted his time with the people he met; he was resourceful like that. Miles never believed in a wasted friendship. Everyone walked into someone elseโ€™s life for a reason and if Miles canโ€™t find that reason to begin with, he either gives them reason or opens the door on their way out. That could be said of his friendship with Jack. The two werenโ€™t the best of friends but itโ€™d be a lie to call them enemies โ€“ more like a friendly rivalry. The two helped each other when they needed it but had the courtesy to stay out of each otherโ€™s way otherwise. Before the two Presidents could delve deeper into any actual conversation, music was loudly surrounding the courtyard.

With the drop of the beat, Miles attention moved from his ex-girlfriend to his best friend and some of her girls. An iPod had been plugged in and now he was being summed to dance with Naomi. She was pointing out random people with the hopes to grab someone, as if it were some type of show. Miles laughed and hopped over to Naomi and started dancing alongside her. A crowd formed around everyone dancing. Miles had no shame in breaking out into dance or song for that matter. He didnโ€™t care if he looked awful or if anyone loved him โ€“ it was all about the fun in that moment. When the dancing had all stopped, Miles took a deep breath and smiled as he jokingly bowed to his audience. As the crowd dispersed, several of the students made their ways to the booths. A couple had stopped at the Sigma booth and Miles sparked up a conversation with a few them. He gave flyers out with details of the events of the rest of the week. โ€œMake sure you look into Sigmas. Weโ€™ll make it worth your time.โ€ He said as they started to look around at the other booths. โ€œLetโ€™s pick up the fucking slack here boys, Iโ€™ll be damned if these Beta shits take my men away!โ€ Miles called out to the boys at his booth.

There was always something happening around Bennett and rarely anything happening to Bennett, unless of course he placed himself in the situation. He learned from a young age never to meddle in someoneโ€™s business that wasnโ€™t relevant to oneself. Therefore, he usually stayed to his own unless he felt the need to meddle. Although that wasnโ€™t often. The boy was leaned up against his booth now, watching as different houses mingled while others ignored everyone else. Bennett was big on observing people. He noticed the look of disgust in Milesโ€™ eyes when his vision was directed in Emersonโ€™s direction, he noticed the look of pure hatred in Naomiโ€™s eyes as she was forced through sit through some bullshit spewing out of Alexandriโ€™s mouth.

The only thing that snapped Bennett out of his observational trance was the sound of his name being called by Jack, โ€œHunter, Bas, Dan, Charlie, any of you want to go hang out at the Alpha booth?โ€ Of course Bennett was going to say yes to that. Why anyone would want to stir away from girls that beautiful and poise was beyond him. Perhaps it was because of their stature though โ€“ Bennett felt comfortable being with other people who came from similar backgrounds and therefore was always more comfortable with the Betas than he was with anyone else, despite his friendship with Naomi. That was a little different. They often butt heads but somehow they still managed to work well together. Bennett was just about to head over to the Alpha booth when Miles came over to their booth and started, what seemed to be, joking with Jack. Bennett could pick up on Miles calling the Beta boys pretentious and Bennett wanted to laugh at the thought. Miles wouldnโ€™t know high class if it bite him in the goddamn ass. Bennett let his mind wander with thoughts, often receding to the thought of how simply better he was than most of the other chumps in the other houses โ€“ failures, is what Bennett often referred them to.

Suddenly, within a quick second, music resonated in his own head as much as it did the large courtyard. He peeked over to where the music was coming from and saw Naomi calling to him, pointing to him, trying to get him to join in the dancing. Bennett was all for dancing in the club but heโ€™d rather not make a fool of himself out in a crowd of people. He smiled at Naomi while playfully rejecting the invite to dance. But while he looked in her direction, Bennettโ€™s eyes fell upon what he could have sworn was a goddess. She clung to the arms of a blond boy, Kyle. Their eyes connected and something in Bennett jumped, he smiled at her and nervously put his hand in his pocket. When the girl smiled back, Bennett fluttered a little. He suddenly wanted to rush over to the dancing โ€“ really he just wanted a reason to talk to her. Bennett straightened out his shirt and started heading over to Naomiโ€™s booth. As he walked by, he brushed shoulders with Karma just slightly, โ€œHey,โ€ he gently smirked and raised an eye brow as he made his way past her.

Delilah quickly nodded when Grace explained that she hadn't returned home last night because she didn't want to wake anyone up. That didn't explain why she was so late to today's events or why she had never responded to the texts she and the other girls had sent her, but Delilah wasn't going to inquire any further. Grace's reasoning was probably a lame excuse at best, and a blatant lie at worst, but Delilah had no reason to believe that Grace wasn't being truthful. If she had to fear judgement from anyone, it was Elysia, and probably Emerson too. Honestly, Delilah had always been a bit intimidated by Emerson. She had shown that she had a sharp tongue and although Delilah would never dare to do something to be on the receiving end of it, the bluntness of her personality always kept Delilah at bay. It wasn't as if she was turned off by it or disliked Emerson in any way, she just never wanted to cross her.

"Um, I'm not sure," was Lila's initial response when Grace wondered aloud if Elysia was upset with her. She hadn't personally spoken to the president all morning and hadn't overheard any questions about Grace from Elysia herself, but the other girls had definitely been abuzz with questions about the girl's whereabouts. It had to be obvious, though, that Elysia wasn't going to appreciate Grace ignoring her schedule and apparently not letting anyone know about it ahead of time. And honestly, Delilah couldn't blame Elysia for that. As the President of the Alpha sorority, she had to be strict. She had to keep things in order and the girls in their place or else they'd end up like the Zetas... who Delilah, like everyone else in the area, glanced towards as music erupted from their booth. She sometimes felt like she was in a hard spot with Grace as her Big Sister. It, of course, meant that she trusted the girl with every secret she had, and that she would be loyal to her regardless of what the older girl did. However, when she vented about Elysia or did things like this, where she was knowingly causing problems, Delilah always struggled to know whether her alliance was supposed to belong to Grace or Elysia. As she glanced back towards Elysia, she hoped that for Grace's sake, whatever she had been talking about with her parents had been important enough to bring some pity.

In an attempt to change the subject, she stepped closer to one of the tables and offered a passing group of girls some cake pops. "If there are any of these left over, I'm desperate to try one," she said to Grace. "The kitchen smelled soooooo good this morning when we were making them. I'm sure they taste like heaven!"

Naomi's "let bygones be bygones" was enough for Andrew to know that she wasn't friends with the freshman standing before her, but she wasn't completely irate, so he still wasn't sure of their relationship. He simply shrugged it off though, when he felt a shaky hand on his shoulder. With a raised eyebrow, he made eye contact with Poppy and then glanced down at her hand. "What's with that?" he asked with concern. Over the summer, he was able to keep track of Poppy and her medication daily since she spent most of the time with him, but now that they were back in separate houses, he had to worry about it more. Giselle was living with her and she was probably just as on top of Poppy about it as he was, but Poppy always proved to be too stubborn for her own good.

"Sit down, take your medication, and I'll go get us some lunch," he essentially ordered, although his tone was more gentle than he wanted it to be. No matter how much Poppy worried him, he could never be angry with her. She was too adorable for that. "What do you two want? These cupcakes aren't going to hold you over all day" he looked between her and Giselle and then towards the assortment of baked goods lining their table. Gigi was definitely more spunky than Poppy and always seemed to be more willing to hint at the impending romance between he and Poppy than either of them were, but he still got a kick out of her. Plus, it was always interesting to have a girl around who came somewhere close to his tall stature. "Emery has seafood on our grills, I think the Betas have barbecue food, I spotted that amazing spinach artichoke dip on Naomi's table and the Alphas have a lot of... fancy things..." He was hoping that the pair would choose one of the first three options, since he wasn't particularly interested in bumping into Grace so early today, but as most people close to them knew, if Poppy wanted something, Andrew would get it no matter what.

The girls listened to Nomi and the freshmen conversation as no one had come to the table in a while. When Naomi turned around Giselle just looked at her with a small smirk and a shake of her head. "Alright, loves. Zetas have a lot of snacks if you want anything. I should go back before anyone decides to set out that cheesecake in this heat. Poppy just nodded as she kept her head on Andrew's shoulder while Giselle looked over at the Zeta table before speaking. "Alright, thanks for stopping by the peasants." She smirked before winking.

See you at the jamboree tonight and you better wear something cute, Poppy." Poppy just opened her mouth before chuckling. She thought she wore cute things, sure they weren't tight or short, but hey, that's how she was raised. To be modest and classy at all times. Before she could object or anything, Ellie had already spoken up. "Don't worry, darling. She'll be the belle of the ball... or jamboree.

"I don't think that metaphor works in this situation." Poppy said while shaking her head. Giselle just rolled her eyes and tossed a crumbled up napkin towards Poppy before continuing. "Whatever. But, I'm picking out her outfit tonight. So, you know she'll be looking amazing." Giselle said as she winked towards the Zeta with a smirk. Poppy had no idea why she allowed Giselle to pick out her outfit. She guessed it was because Giselle was the sexy, attractive one in their friendship and since Poppy was trying to seem a little more like her, she thought that best way to start was to dress somewhat like her. But, to be honest she had no idea what to expect which somewhat worried her. Giselle cleared her throat as Poppy raised an eyebrow. Ellie eyes moved from the girl to Andy and back to Poppy. That was something else, Giselle was making her take a 'date' or sorts and since Andy was Poppy's best friend, it wasn't a difficult choice.

"Oh, Andy about the jamboree. I was wonderin' if you wanted to," She stopped talking when he looked her in the eyes before looking down at her hand what was rested on his shoulder. "What's wrong?" She asked as moved her hand and realized how much it was shaking. "What's with that?" She sighed as she looked back up at her best friend. "Andy, it's not that big of a deal. I just--.."

"Sit down, take your medication, and I'll go get us some lunch," Giselle stiffened a laugh at the sound of Andy trying to command Poppy to do something. Even when he was trying to tell her to do something, he was too crazy about her to really be mad her or actually command her to do it. It sounded more like a request. And it was adorable. "Andy, stop. I'm fine." Poppy assured him as she looked at him. "What do you two want? These cupcakes aren't going to hold you over all day." Poppy looked at Giselle for backup, but all she did was shrug. Giselle took her side on anything, but this was the one thing she actually had to agree with Andy on. Poppy was too stubborn about taking her medicine, even if she wouldn't admit it. But, if there was anyone who could make her take it, it was Andrew.

"Pops, up to you. What do you wanna eat?" Giselle asked her best friend who still had an annoyed look on her face. Poppy just took a seat next to Ellie, who handed her her bag from off the top of the cooler. Poppy sighed sharply as she reached in her bag as Andy spoke. "Emery has seafood on our grills, I think the Betas have barbecue food, I spotted that amazing spinach artichoke dip on Naomi's table and the Alphas have a lot of... fancy things..." Poppy chuckled as she shook her head. "I really don't want any--.." Giselle stuck a hand to stop her friend from talking as she looked up at the Kappa. "Just get your girlfriend here, something you'd think she'll like. Because obviously she's not going to say what she actually wants." At the sound of the word 'girlfriend', Poppy could feel her cheeks getting red as she looked over at Ellie. Giselle couldn't help it, if there was anyone who thought the two were meant for one another it was Giselle, and the little comments and sly smirks only got more common when she found out that Poppy went home with Andy over the summer. She wouldn't leave either of them alone about it.

Thank God, Kellin came to the table when she did because in all honest, Poppy had no idea what to say after that. "Hey guys! I have had the most insane morning so far- well not insane but busy- no dysfunctional," Poppy sighed in relief as she turned her attention from Andrew to the sophomore that just joined them. "No worries, they hasn't been a lot of people anyway." Giselle just rolled her eyes as she looked at Poppy before turning towards Kellin in her seat. "My god, what happened to you?"

"Ellie!" Poppy said as she lightly hit Giselle's toned arm. "What? It's a question. Here, if you're going to wear a bun at least let me fix it for you." The French woman said as she got up from her seat and got behind Kellin to redo her bun. No, Theta was to look like a mess on Giselle's watch. She undid the messy bun and let the younger girl's lock flow down before looking up at Poppy, who was putting the handful of pills in her mouth before washing it down with her water bottle before looking over towards Andrew with a smirk. "Pops, Kellin and I have the booth covered if you want to go with Andrew." She said with a wink before turning back to Kellin to finish off her not, somewhat slick bun. Or as clean and nice it could be with her hair being half straight and half not. But, Giselle knew how to give the illusion that it was completely straight and nice. "I mean, don't you think the president of Theta should stay at the--.."

"No. You're coming back in like, five minutes besides you need to go sign up for your clubs again this year. Might as well do it now before it gets super busy." She said as she shook her head before looking down towards Kellin. "There, now you look good." Giselle said as she moved to the front and sat down on the table as she kept her eyes on Poppy. "Fine, you're right." Poppy admitted as she grabbed a few posters for Theta Chi. "But, I'm still going to get some people over here, so get ready for a flood of people." Ellie just rolled her eyes with a smirk as she shooed both Andrew and Poppy away from the table.

Austin had woken up to the one sound she hated the most.BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. It was like the annoying sound wouldn't stop at all. She didn't want to get up at all. She hated being a freshman. As so she went over into the area with all the booths, others would bombard her with their little advertisements for their separate houses. "Was that even what its call?" She had thought to herself as she laid in her bed looking at her ceiling. It was her temporary roommate who had turned off her alarm clack and she was so glad the thing had en turned off. It was killing the living daylights out of her. Austin didn't want to hear not another sound of the awful thing. But soon enough once she actually starts to go to school she will hear the damn thing.

Austin had groaned getting out of her bed. Her roommate wouldn't stop bugging her about it anyway. She looked through her bag picking out her clothes for the day. It was just a little chilly outside, but not so much so her outfit was pretty flexible for the day. She got into the bathroom finally getting dressed and everything. She looked in the mirror a her hair. She smiled at how perfect the dye had come out to be in her hair. She had just done it two nights ahead of time so she was anxious to see how it would turn out in the ending. Austin had simply straightened it and left it in the layers how she wanted. Her hair went from a dark brown almost black to a vibrant pink. She thought it would look weird, but instead she liked it a lot. She could honestly go on for hours just talking about her hair since she loved it so much. But sadly she had no time for that at all. It was a waste of time if she did talk about it for hours also.

Smiling proudly she had slipped on her blue shoes before heading out. She grabbed her bag and phone right before leaving the room. Waving goodbye to the person she would hate to actually have to share a room with again. The girl was honestly the worst. They had separate sides of the room and she was throwing her shit in Austin's area. You don't do that unless you want to get smacked in the face. But Austin wasn't going to do that despite how much she really wanted to. the girl would have deserved it. She didn't even want to mention the type of things she had found. Some of them... Were rather disturbing in her eyes. The type of stuff you would want to throw up over if you saw it on your bed.

Shrugging it off she headed out the dorm and into the so called light that was outside. She smiled slipping her shades on and walking around. She had no idea where she was going but was going to get somewhere at some point in time to say at the least. Humming softly listening to her music she wandered around for awhile. The weather was really nice to her and she preferred it better than 5ft of snow by fall. She had grown up n the type of place and it wasn't the funniest out of places at all. especially when she could barely get to work because of it. Along the way she found a cafรฉ and stepped in getting a French vanilla coffee and heading back out. She smiled at the taste and wandered again out into no where.

Austin really hadn't had a place in mind that she was going so she took in the scenery that she wasn't exactly used to. The place seemed way nicer than she expected. She didn't even think that she could get into a college and get father than a high school diploma at all. She couldn't help to be happy about it. I mean who wouldn't. She realized she was basically in an area surrounded with people and they were all over the place. She didn't exactly really know what to do and walked around a bit more tasking everyone in, She saw Alexandri and smile making her way over to him. Noticing that he was just over by Naomi didn't exactly make her happy at all. It was more so that she was annoyed he took the time to talk to her. She seemed like the shady type to easily stab you in the back once she doesn't get her way with things.

Once again trying not to pay attention to her she gave Alex a smile. "Hey! Finally someone I know..." She sighed happily at him. She wasn't paying much mind as to what was around her so if other people had been talking to him she wouldn't have noticed at all. The perks of being absent minded! She took a quick looking of her surroundings and back at him. "Do you know what we are suppose to be doing right now?" She asked him. she really didn't know. She hadn't even looked at her schedule just yet. She would doubt that she actually would at some point. With all the people gathered up she could hope she would make a ton if new friends.

Zoey was full of giggles at the sight of Amy and Naomi up there dancing but not because they were making fools out of themselves. The pair were talented enough that they didn't look as silly as some of the others that came up to dance with them, but it was still an entertaining sight. She was still laughing when Amelia pointed towards her and directed her to come dance with them. Although Zoey was usually the first person dancing at parties, her one Jello shot had done virtually nothing to get her intoxicated. She wasn't self-conscious to the point where she would care if people saw her dancing, but she was still more ready to crawl into bed than to let loose.

Her attention shifted from the scene in front of her back towards the Sigma booth. As she had left Sam minutes before, she passed Kyle and a freshman that Zoey had met briefly a few days earlier. The way that she was clinging to the Sigma hadn't sat well with her, for no good reason at all, and Zoey knew that. She had hooked up with Kyle years ago and once she started dating Sam, they left any sexual feelings they had for each other in the past. Kyle had probably hooked up with numerous girls since then and it had never bothered her, so why was it now? She forced the thoughts out of her mind and tried to justify them as a result of just being annoyed with Sam this morning.

As she focused on the Zetas who were now finishing up, her smile returned. Amelia dramatically collapsed under a nearby tree, probably appreciating the bit of heat relief that the shade offered and Naomi went straight from the Jello shots. She happened to choose one that Zoey had splashed with vodka and quickly noticed. "I have no idea what you're talking about!" she replied, although her grin spoke otherwise. "Did you see Emery while you were out earlier? I need to ask him about our work schedule this week," she asked, mostly out of boredom. She tilted her head back as Amelia jumped up and headed towards the Theta booth, before returning her head back towards Naomi. It's so hot today. I say we squeeze 'hour at the beach' onto our list of Zeta duties for today," she suggested with a smile. Naomi was President, which meant that a lot of the responsibility for Zeta events fell on her shoulders, but as her best friend and a senior Zeta, Zoey knew she had to be involved as much as needed too. Being a Zeta meant that fun and sorority responsibilities almost always overlapped though, which was definitely helpful in that.

Naomi grinned back at Zoey, shaking her head with amusement. While anyone else would have been upset since the Jell-O-shots were supposed to be minor-friendly for the sake of the school, leave it to Zoey to just say, "fuck it." And Naomi, despite how moral or how much of a good girl she could be, just loved being bad and could only be grateful. "Have I told you much I love you lately?" She exclaimed, waving to a few freshmen from orientation week. Her eyes fell on Karma and Kyle, who weren't that far away and Naomi quirked an eyebrow. She glanced from Karma to Kyle, and then back to Karma again with a questioning smirk. She even almost missed Zoey's questions with her curiosity, but glanced back to her best friend once it clicked in her head.

"Actually, that sounds like a great idea. We have an hour before the jamboree and no one's doing anything. I'll put it in a mass text," she said and pulled out her phone before considering. As much as she knew that some of her friends hung out with people she didn't really talk to, why not invite everyone she liked? Everyone could chill out and if they didn't like each other, they could always just not show up. It wasn't going to kill her. Besides, it was hot and she wanted the col water of the ocean on her skin. Not to mention to wear the new bikini she had bought with her mother's new boytoy's money. "Emery? Hmm...I think he was at the Alpha table, not really sure." The placement this year definitely put certain houses by people they normally wouldn't be associated with. Maybe it was the school's new way of creating relationships, she surmised while typing out her message, hoping she didn't forget anyone.

To: Bennett, Sam, Miles, Sierra, Amy, Poppy, Giselle, Daniel, Emery
Idk what y'all plan 2 do, but Zetas r hittin up da beach b4 da jamboree. Any1's invited.

Biting her lower lip softly, Naomi glanced over at the Beta table before shaking her head. She really needed to stop doing this. She was making herself obvious the more she looked in his direction. However, she also couldn't help it and decided to interact with people as a distraction, but not before sending one more text.

To: Jack
Didn't think I'd invite ur guys 2 da beach w/out u. Didn't want u 2 be lonely, Reynolds. Don't ever say I didn't do anything 4 u

Her first target was Karma, who hadn't drifted off yet and who Naomi was more than happy to greet. Side-stepping a few people who were in line for either Beta or Zeta foods, Naomi made her way to the blonde, smiling widely. "Hey, gorgeous. You look great!" She exclaimed and nodded to Kyle with the smile still present. "Hey, Kyle." Naomi turned back to Karma then. "See any booths you liked yet? Ooh, and what are you both doing after this? The Zetas and a few other people are hitting up the beach before the jamboree." She stated, including Kyle in the end. After all, who the hell didn't like the beach?

Paige was overwhelmed, to say the least. She had woken up way too late, for starters. She had completely forgot to set her alarm the previous night. She only arrived on campus the day before, and wasn't yet adjusted to life back at school. Her clothes were still all packed away in suitcases, and she couldn't even find her bathroom stuff. Paige knew that Poppy would be at the Activities Fair early, and she also knew that she would be in major trouble if she didn't show up. She quickly threw on some jeans and a white and gold striped tank top after spraying some leave-in conditioner in her hair. She quickly gathered her purse and wallet and headed out the door.

Paige's walk to the Activities Fair was uneventful at best. About half way there, she got a text from Bennett:
Hey you. You gonna be in the courtyard at any point today? I figured we could chill

She texted him back right away;
For sure, let's hang out sometime today.

She continued her voyage to the Fair, smiling at a few sophomores and juniors she recognized from past classes. Paige was generally outgoing, but she was quite tired this morning. She would usually say hello and stop to talk to some of her passersby, but she was already half an hour late. Kellin had even texted her, asking for cover. She texted her back, saying that she was late, too, and that they could be in trouble together. When Paige finally made it her sorority's table, Poppy was nowhere to be found, but Kellin and Giselle looked to have a handle on everything. She sat down in a chair next to her best friend and grabbed a cookie decorated with a Theta sticker from a basket. "Pops is going to kill me if she finds out how late I was. But I totally slept in, I swear. How are things going?" she asked Kellin. Things seemed to be running smoothly around the square where the Activities Fair was held. All the tables looked absolutely amazing. Paige was impressed; they definitely didn't look this good when she was rushing.

"I'm going to go look for Tony. If Poppy asks where I am, tell her I'm talking to the freshies," Paige said to her friend. She winked to the girl discretely and stood, grabbing another cookie. She didn't need to search long or hard to find Antonio. He was standing around the Alpha booth, holding a fancy, expensive-looking camera, excited about something. Paige snuck up behind him and covered his eyes with her hands. "Guess who?" she said, laughing.

"Don't sneak up on me like that!" Elysia said when Emery frightened her. He laughed a little under his breath and backed away, hands in the air in mock fear. "Woah there tiger, bring it down a little," he replied. Of course Emery knew that is was awkward between the two of them. But he wanted things to be as normal as they could. He had always been pretty good at easing tension, and this wasn't going to be different on his watch. "Sorry, Em." Emery nodded to her, and the Alpha began to list of all the treats they were giving away. Everything looked good, and that was most likely all Elysia's doing. She used to cook for Emery back when they were a "thing", but it'd been awhile. If there was one thing he missed the most about her, it was her cooking. She had natural talent in that category.

"I'll take a strawberry. This all looks great. Props to you and your girls." There was a two-second awkward silence. He could tell she was jittery, not her usual self. Whether it was all the activities happening around them, or just talking to Emery himself, it didn't really matter. "Long time, no see. No texts, no calls. What's up?"

"I'm sorry about... Being distant. This isn't really a situation I know how to handle. It's not like there's a handbook..." Elysia said. Emery wasn't totally serious, but sometimes when he was joking, people didn't take it like a joke. He had a hard time being sarcastic, and he guessed that it was one of those times. "Listen, Lys. I'm not actually mad at you. I just thought we would have more communication, for lack of a better term, over summer break. But maybe next time." He was about to walk away when she said, "We could hang out later... If you want."

He nodded. "Sure. Let's hang out. Catch me before the party tonight and we'll chill." He turned and walked back toward his own booth. It was obvious that there was nothing between Emery and Elysia anymore. She had a girlfriend, and, frankly, he just couldn't see them being together as a couple anymore. Nothing would happen if they hung out for a few hours. He ran into Andrew on the way back to the Kappa booth. "Hey man. How are things going?"

Poppy and Giselle's relationship always entertained Andrew. He got a kick out of how intuitive Giselle could be to Poppy's needs and how she was the only one out of the three who wanted to admit that there was more to his relationship with Poppy than just "best friends". Being used to it didn't stop him from taking on a slight blush too, when the brunette referred to Poppy as his girlfriend though. Her ability to call people out and embarrass them seemed to rival Alpha level, not the typical innocent and harmless image that Theta's typically got. Even though it was often directed at his situation with Poppy, he appreciated her wit.

"That girl is going to turn your house upside down next year," he joked once he and Poppy had left the Theta booth. His eyes lingered on her face for a few seconds, before being quickly redirected when he almost bumped right into a group of freshman girls walking away from the Alpha booth with decadent looking deserts in hand. If Elysia's table was anything like it had been last year, Andrew was sure she was going to have the same over the top cake she had displayed the year before. He had managed to snag a slice from one of the senior Kappa's who was friends with the Alpha president and even now, a year later, he still couldn't forget how delicious the cake had been. His sweet tooth wanted him to check out the table for himself but knowing Grace was there was enough for him to want to steer clear. He didn't need to deal with awkward and unnecessary tension this early in the day, and besides, the Alpha booth was her home turf. It didn't seem necessary to go looking for trouble, even if he did want to see Elysia anyway.

"I'm not in the seafood mood, so I'm going to see if I can grab a burger from the Betas. Now, we can get you something from their booth, or we can get something from mine, but either way, you're eating something." Again, he did his best to sound serious, but it was hard with such a beautiful girl standing next to him. As they approached a larger crowd in front of the Alpha booth, he instinctively took her hand in his so they couldn't be separated while moving through the mass of people. When Emery appeared on the other side of the group, he didn't think enough to let go of her hand as his thoughts shifted to the Kappa booth. "Hey man, things should be good back at the booth. Arty's got the whole Kappa spiel down pat and the others were grilling and handing out fliers when I left." The Kappa table was only a few feet away now, and luckily, everything did look to be pretty calm. "Little Miss Sunshine here needs to eat something, but I'll be over in a few to help out," he offered, playfully nudging Pop, although he knew that there was no dire need for him over there. The Kappa guys were always responsible and diligent when it came to events like this and Andrew was sure that even the sophomores alone could handle the day. However, Andrew was interested in meeting the freshman potentials too. He would be spending the next two years with whoever decide to pledge Alpha, afterall.

'Craziness is like heaven'.

"Amelia!" Kellin's reply was a shouted greeting and she returned Amelia's lingering kiss without even a thought of reluctance. She hugged her briefly afterwards but before she could even consider her response to dancing with Amelia, Giselle had pounced over to fix her hair and Kellin inwardly groaned because she hated having to look prim and proper- or at all organised, neat or sophisticated but she was none of those things. She exchanged a look with Amelia, figuring she'd get her point but didn't verbalise it because Giselle's intention was a good once from what Kellin could tell. "What happened to you?" Giselle asked her and Kellin sighed softly as she prepared her story, hoping the others wouldn't be too annoyed and pissed off at her for it. "My alarm, wasn't loud enough. I overslept by like an hour," She mumbled, biting her tongue because it kind of made her want to laugh. It was such a typical thing of Kellin, most people had just kind of gotten used to Kellin being late and disorganised- to the point where the told her earlier times than she was expected to make up for the time she'd waste being late but apparently, it hadn't worked this time. She tried to sit still but it was in her nature to wiggle and squirm.

She tried to fidget as little as possible and resulted for twiddling her thumbs in circles around each other. She tried not to cringe about the other girl touching her hair, she wasn't really a fan of people touching it but she perceived and bit down on her lip strongly. She laughed off Giselle's assertiveness and smiled at her appreciatively afterwards. "Thanks Giselle, I really don't get how you do all this hair stuff. I can dye it, wash it and brush it that's about it," She laughed with a slight sigh of relief when Giselle laid off her hair.

She turned to Amelia afterwards and sighed slightly. "I'd love to Meelie, you know I would but I've got to do this stall shit- between you and me, I don't even know what the stall is," She admitted with a sheepish smirk. "But I'll text you later," She promised resisting the urge to touch her hair or fiddle with it. She read Paige's text and couldn't help laughing out loud about it. So Paige was late as well. Oh well, Kellin was just glad not to be the only one.

As Paige bounded over, Kellin smiled at her and replied with the word 'awesome' but it seemed as quickly as their conversation had started that Paige was eager to go see someone else, so she chuckled a bit and watched the other girl run off with a slight nod of her head. Once people had stopped talking to her and everything felt a little calmer, Kellin took a breath in and smiled. Her initial arrival downstairs and she'd been met with an overload of people but she chilled herself out and took another sip of water and beamed brightly at everyone, like she always did. Image Kellin was practically infamous for her illuminated smile, her teeth were her pride and joy, so her smile was one of her nicest qualities and one of the few things the girl liked about herself. So sitting there with a calm smile, she thought about how to disguise her confusion for what was ongoing that day but also find out what she was supposed to be doing and then it hit her, like her own little 'Eureka' moment and she looked around at Poppy, Giselle and all the other Theta Chi girls.

"Anything you guys need me to do?" She chimed and she smirked to herself. Genius! At least, she thought so, for all she knew she could have dug an even deeper hole because she'd told before what her responsibilities were today.

Antonio was busy inspecting his camera and taking a few random photographs when he heard Jack call for him. There was no hesitance, not even a tiny bit, as he snapped to attention. His head came up and he immediately jogged over, giving and up-nod in a silent What's up as he looked around, snapping a few more pictures. A smile came across his face at Jack's request and that smile soon became a smirk. โ€œYou got it, Seรฑor Presidente,โ€ he laughed. He wasn't really surprised that Jack had asked for Grace, but Antonio had noticed that she and Emerson were the only ones missing from the earlier photograph. Still, being sent to go talk to Elysia gave him a chance to flirt with her and the other girls from Alpha as well as gorge on the sweets that were brought. He turned away from Jack and was headed right back to the Alpha booth, overhearing the older guy call for a few of their brothers to enter the trade-off.

He saw that Emerson had joined Elysia and Emery was part of the group as well. He rolled his eyes at the sight of Emerson, knowing that a glare was on its way. No fucks were given as he interrupted, not bothering to apologize either. โ€œHey, Sia! Jack wants Grace, Natalie, and Julie over at the booth. He's sending Hunter, Bas, Dan, and Charlie.โ€ He went silent a moment as Emery was the first to leave, looking between he and Elysia before shaking his head and smiling at Elysia. She snapped back to attention and smiled as she noticed Emerson and Antonio had joined after Emery had taken his strawberry and left, confirming that he'd enjoy hanging out later. This made her smile and nod before turning her attention back to Antonio and Emerson.

She took a few moments to register everything, noticing that Grace had arrived. Finally. Seeing Grace reminded her that Antonio had asked something, causing her to shake her head, a habit she hard formed while bringing herself down from her thoughts. โ€œNo. Grace and Natalie are... Grounded. Julie can go. Also, take Diana, and Jemma and Cassidy.โ€ She spoke loudly so that the other Alphas could hear her, motioning for the mentioned girls at the same time.

ImageThey all put on smiles and headed towards the Beta booth, immediately putting on their game faces by flirting with every male that came by, whether they were rushers or current members. Elysia immediately shooed Antonio away and pulled out her phone, texting back to Karma while she spoke to Emerson, ignoring her girlfriend's text since she was already right there. โ€œYeah, Karmilla has entranced a few for us,โ€ she said as she nodded towards the junior who was speaking excitedly to four girls that crowded around her with bright eyes and big smiles. Elysia gave a soft smile, kissing Emerson on her cheek.

โ€œYou had a big debate last night โ€“ Don't worry about it.โ€ She turned and spotted Alexandri speaking to Naomi, her brow lifting some. As he apologized to her, Elysia could only smirk before putting two fingers into her mouth, issuing a high pitched whistle and pointing at Jack, motioning for him to come over and then to Karma. She issued Amelia a wink and a smirk at the compliment of the food before continuing over to the front of the booth, scanning the crowd of girls that were coming over. The cake had already been cut into and the cake pops were nearly gone. Antonio had busied himself with taking photographs.

โ€œPrecioso! Now, big smiles... Say Alpha!,โ€ he encouraged as the Alphas and rushers smushed together happily for a photograph, giggles bubbling up from them. Once the photo had been taken, he checked out the image before his vision went dark. His lips twitched into a smile as one voice rose above the others. Gripping the camera, he maneuvered himself so that he was behind Paige now, wrapping an arm around her waist with a laugh. โ€œBuenas tardes, mi belleza,โ€ he purred in her ear with a thick accent. He chuckled softly and kissed the side of her head firmly before releasing her. โ€œYou know, you could get in trouble talking to me in public like this,โ€ he teased, his fingers digging gently into her ribs as he tickled her.

Elysia rolled her eyes softly at the encounter before her gaze fell upon Amelia and her dancing. She was more than familiar with the choreography, the sight of it causing her to smile some as she stood with arms crossed. The attention the young dancer gave her elicited a blown kiss before she turned to get down to business. โ€œNatalie and Grace, you two are on refreshments duty โ€“ Offer something to everyone. If they have questions about the chapter, send them to Delilah, Emerson, or literally anyone else.โ€

Her words caused the other girls to stop a moment. There was no malice or even a hint of anger in her voice but most of them had been around long enough to tell when she was displeased with someone. She ignored them and made a shooing motion with her hands before addressing the others. โ€œThis is my last year and I intend to leave you guys with the very best. We've seen a lot of potentials so far but we can always do better. We've got some Betas coming over to draw some eyes, so you know what to do.โ€ She ushered everyone back into action, putting on a smile as she waited for Jack, linking arms with Emerson. โ€œIt's our last year โ€“ Let's make it the best.โ€

Grace felt like rolling her eyes at how Delilah switched the subject so obviously, trying to mask whatever fear she had of Elysia with how great the cake pops were. She didn't, only because she appreciated the girl's efforts to act like things were okay, even when Grace knew otherwise. Although Delilah could be detrimentally naive about most things, her positive attitude was also a breath of fresh air, and Grace knew that was especially true when compared to her own. Maybe it was why they had clicked so well last year when Delilah was rushing. "They do look good..." she said, examining the desert table for herself before quickly switching positions on the matter. "But bikini season never ends in Miami, and I'm not going to let these deserts ruin my look this year." She glanced around idly before running her fingers through her hair and mentally praising herself for doing so well with her appearance in such little time.

Her good mood was quickly disappeared when Elysia spoke up and put her and Natalie in charge of the refreshments table. Luckily, she hadn't heard Antonio state that Jack had requested her for the Beta table because she certainly would have responded differently. Now, inside she was scowling, but outside, her face remained emotionless and eventually brightened with a fake smile. She didn't respond to Elysia, partly because it didn't seem necessary, and partly because she was sure that whatever she said would be passive aggressive enough to get her into more trouble. She did manage to offer Delilah a 'kill me now' expression, but changed it back into a smile as soon as she turned to face the rest of the girls. Once she reached the refreshment table, she glanced over at Natalie who seemed to be equally displeased with their situation but was less careful about showing it than Grace was. She had rushed with the blonde, making them both juniors, and although Natalie wasn't a favorite in the house, Grace didn't hate her. In fact, she was one of the best people to gossip with, and like her, she was good at changing faces when it came to being respectful to Elysia's face and less-than-so behind her back.

"Can you believe her? Sending us over here like we're sophomores!" Natalie ranted, but luckily, in a hushed tone. Like a good Alpha, she managed to do it with a smile on her face as they handed lemonade to passing freshman.

As soon as they got a moment alone, Grace nodded. "She's obviously mad at me for showing up late. What did you do?" She was sure it had to do with Natalie's habitual acts of theft in the house but waited for the girl's explanation.

"Literally nothing! I've been doing everything she asks me to do all week and I get stuck here?" She paused mid rant to hand a glass of sweet tea to a boy who had stopped in front of them. As soon as he was gone, she resumed. "And told not to answer any questions about the house? Tell me that wasn't so bitchy when she basically said that Delilah was more fit to answer questions than us." Although she thoroughly doubted Natalie's claim that she was sent to the table for no reason at all, the girl made a good point. Did being late and having sticky fingers suddenly make them less fit as Alphas than Delilah, who had been a member for less than a year. Possibly, but Grace wasn't going to accept that. "And, you know, if anyone deserves to be over here, it's Emerson. She only showed up like five minutes before you anyway."

The last part of her rambling caused Grace to raise an eyebrow. Emerson's reason for being late was much more understandable than Grace's, but she didn't know that, or care to know. In her mind, it just made sense that Elysia would obviously give special treatment to her girlfriend and although Grace seemed to clash less with Emerson than she did with Elysia, she felt like she should have expected this. "So typical," Grace muttered under her breath. Although Natalie was shameless with her gossiping, Grace was more careful. Even though they were speaking in near whispers and none of the other girls would be able to hear, she didn't trust Natalie any more with her dirty gossip than she would with her wallet.

To: Zoey
Elysia hates me. Come say hi to me <3

To: Jack

Crowds werenโ€™t so much thinning as they were organizing. There were people everywhere essentially, but they were all where they felt they should be. Except for scattered members of each house mingling with each other. It slightly aggravated Miles โ€“ the fact that everyone could simply run off from their work and talk to others while meanwhile he felt as though he had to stay stuck to his position because of the fact that the sophomores still didnโ€™t know exactly what to do to with the ropes handed to them and anyone who actually knew how to do anything was off running along with some blonde bimbo.

As Milesโ€™ eyes wandered from the corners of the courtyard down to the phone in his lap, a group of freshman walked up to the booth. Miles hadnโ€™t noticed as the guys at first as he was very concentrated on doing absolutely nothing in the time they walked over. One of the guys cleared their throats and Milesโ€™ eyes shot up. โ€œHey guys, howโ€™s it going?โ€ The boys stared without saying a word at first and then one of the standing in the middle nudged one of the others. Miles burrowed his eyebrows in slight confusion. He didnโ€™t say anything though and just stood there waiting for someone to say something and when none of them, Miles opened his mouth to speak. โ€œWellโ€ฆ are you guys interested in becoming a Sigma?โ€ At that time one of the boys sputtered nervously, โ€œIs it true that in your sophomore year you beat the hell out of one of your professors and almost got kicked out of school?โ€ The kidโ€™s words came out like word vomit, spitting up all of the things he was thinking and could no longer control it. Miles chuckled at the speedy speaker and the boy took a step back. โ€œWhat your name kid? The boy spoke up immediately, โ€œIโ€™m Trevor. These are my friends, Luke, Quinn, Gage, and Wes.โ€ Miles shook hands with each one. โ€œWe want to be Sigmas. How do we get in?โ€ Miles made eye contact with Gage, the boy who spoke up. The corner of Milesโ€™ mouth drew up into a smirk. He pulled a few flyers off the table and handed them to the guys. โ€œHere, this should give you some details on how to go about that.โ€ Milesโ€™ phone pinged in his pocket, he pulled it out to see a text from Naomi about going to the beach. โ€œWeโ€™ve got some shit going down at the beach in a little. Why donโ€™t you guys swing by? Weโ€™ve got more going down later too. Iโ€™ll hit you guys up huh?โ€ Miles passed around his phone and each of the guys put their number in his phone โ€“ smiles spread across their faces and Miles knew that this was only the beginning of the show.

While Miles talked to the guys at his booth and the others mingled, Bennettโ€™s phone pinged in his pocket with a text from Naomi, it was an invite to hit the beach with the Zetas. He smiled at the text and looked up at his phone to see if he could find her in the crowd. Naomi was mingling with Karma and Bennett saw this as his chance to get closer. His phone pinged again and he pulled it back up to eye sight to see a text from Paige. He swiped his phone open and clicked on the text to open it but he didnโ€™t respond. Bennett slid his phone back in his pocket and walked over to Naomi. โ€œNaaaayyyyooommiii!โ€โ€ Bennett clamored happily. He walked closer and put his arms up for a hug. He saw Kyle and Karma standing in front of Naomi but pretended as if he didnโ€™t see them at first. โ€œSo the beach is happening huh? Iโ€™m down, may need a ride though.โ€ He turned after his hug to look at the stunning girl that stood by him, and also Kyle. Bennett smiled gently at the girl, โ€œHey. Iโ€™m Bennett, I donโ€™t think weโ€™ve met.โ€ The boy smiled at her as he looked in her eyes but refused to look away or to look at the boy next that stood next to her.
