Karma's eyebrow shot up when Miles made the remark about older guys. She was well attend at dealing with assholes and even comments like that but that didn't stop them from disgusting her. She hated guys who assumed girls dated certain types of a guys for gain. She wasn't specifically hanging out with Kyle for his age or his status. That meant nothing to her.Miles left with a parting comment about being careful and Karma rolled her eyes, "Guess I should be careful with you grandpa ", She joked lightly.

Karma couldn't help but bite her lip and blush when smiled back at her. For a moment as he approached she began to worry about him approaching her while she was with Kyle. But he didn't. She knew she shouldn't have been disappointed when Bennett walked by but she was a bit. Though as he passed he brushed her shoulder and she faintly heard him say hi before smirking and walking away. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before refocusing on the small group before her. She shook her head lightly. Karma didn't want to be one of those girls who had love triangles or who messed with multiple guys at the same time. She always thought that was a bit trashy and insensitive. However, she was currently just a single rusher and it's not like she was on an actual date. At least she didn't think she was, was she?!

Karma was simply enjoying the festivities and, if she were being completely honest, occasionally glancing at Bennett, when Naomi suddenly appeared in front of her. "Hey gorgeous. You look great!. The curly haired girl had exclaimed before greeting Kyle. " Thanks you look amazing too, everything looks amazing. " She added supportively. When Naomi inquired about the other booths she shrugged, "I really haven't seen any. I just got here and he had to sort some things with his frat. I did see you dancing though. It looked wicked fun. "

When Naomi mentioned the beach a grin lit up the blonde's face. " I love the beach. Are we getting in the water though? I didn't bring a swimsuit and skinny dipping is for the dark..." She paused when Bennett walked over. He hugged Naomi and mentioned the beach as well before smiling at Karma. "Karma, Karma Cohen " She said stepping a way from Kyle, as was necessary to shake the boys hand. " I'm a freshman." She added. People always tended to assume Karma was older than she was and occasionally got upset when they realized her real age. She made it a point to avoid misconceptions. She noted that Bennett had beautiful eyes. Mainly because he was looking deeply in hers. Though when a shrill whistle filled the air she glanced away to find the source. She turned to see Elysia motioning towards her and bit her lip, "Be right back, swear " She said before heading in the direction of her oldest friend.

She paused in front of the charming enthusiastic and notably hot guy wielding a camera and sent him a grin before running into her friend literally. She hugged her fiercely before managing to gush. "I missed you so effin' much. " She turned back to the small group she ditched and frowned. " I wish I could stay but I kinda ditched Kyle and that's not cool because he was sweet enough to walk around with me today. Plus Naomi wants me to go to the beach soon. Are you coming I heard a whole bunch of people are going. We could def' get ready for the jamboree together though? I could come to the Alpha house if that's ok? " She glanced back at the group before clasping her friends hands and making a pretty pout, " Text me the details ok?" She said before heading back to the group.

She turned to Naomi and grinned, " I'm totally up for the beach, I need a ride though..."

As Antonio left to get some Alpha girls and a few of the Beta boys headed over to switch places with them, Jack returned to grilling. When Miles approached and called out to Kyle, the sophomore grilling next to him, Jack rolled his eyes, but nodded in reassurance that it was fine to hand over some food. He opted to pass on returning a light insult to the Sigma President, but only because his phone went off. He had received a text from Naomi, inviting him to the beach in a rather forced manner. He saw right through it though, and couldn't stop himself from grinning as he glanced towards the Zeta booth. The radio host wasn't situated with the rest of her sorority though, which wasn't exactly shocking. Although the Zetas were her family, Naomi was surprisingly close with many members of other Greek houses. Luckily, she wasn't too close with any of the other Betas where he had to worry about any of his boys suspecting anything.

To: Naomi
Hmm... I'm sure you're dying for me to come. I'll see if I can fit you into my schedule Malone. Let u know as soon as my personal assistant gets back to me on today's plans.

A whistle caught his attention right after he sent the text, and as his head turned towards the source, he spotted Elysia motioning him and Karma over. He nodded to show that he got the message, but waited a moment until his steaks were finished and plated before approaching her. By now, Karma had already said something to Elysia and was heading back towards Naomi. "Day one and it looks like Karma's already picked the Zetas over you," he smirked.

As a few Alpha girls greeted him and strutted back towards his table, he cocked his head to the side to check them out before turning back to Elysia. Julie was there, along with a few other hot girls, but Grace and Natalie, two who he had specifically requested, were not. "Didn't Tony tell you we wanted Grace and Natalie?" he asked innocently, as if he didn't already know that Elysia had probably purposely excluded Grace from his group of Alpha girls. If her small remarks about how he could do better than Grace weren't enough of a sign that she didn't think the two were good for each other, the emailed lists of better girls that she had sent him got the message out loud and clear. Still, Jack wasn't going to just give up on it because of Elysia. Grace was the type of girl his parents would want him to bring home and even though he wasn't mentally and emotionally attracted to her yet, he wanted to be. If he planned on letting his parents down at some point this year, having a cookie-cutter girlfriend like Grace around would definitely help to lighten the blow of that.

The thoughts of dating Grace instinctively caused him to look back towards Naomi. "Let's hit the beach after this. The sophomores will clean up and we can go relax before the jamboree tonight. God knows you need it," he grinned as he nudged her lightly. How she was wearing a blazer in this heat was beyond him. Then again, girls like Elysia were good about going through a little bit of pain for a lot of beauty. He had to respect her for that.

Naomi nodded at Karma as the blonde rusher spoke, taking in the closeness of the two blondes she stood before. Kyle was an associate of hers, maybe not a friend but someone she spoke to a lot. After all, they were brother and sister; they saw each other a lot. That also meant that she knew his reputation and while she wasn't going to hold that over his head, it didn't stop her from being just a bit wary of whatever was going on between him and Karma. Granted, she wasn't spouting some unnecessary threat or anything. Yet.

"Well, don't forget to check everything out, even the non-Greek ones," she told her newest friend. Just as Karma seemed to get excited at the idea of hitting up the beach, a very familiar voice dragged out her name and Naomi glanced over their shoulders with a knowing smile, shaking her head amusedly at Bennett who held out open arms for her. Giggling, she bound to the Beta and hugged him, turning to still include Karma and Kyle since Bennett mentioned coming to the beach with them. "No problem, love. My mum's boyfriend helped put in for my truck, so I'm more than willing to give a ride." Luckily, Bennett seemed to remember that he was not really familiar with Karma and introduced himself, which left Naomi the chance to pull out her phone to see the response from Jack. Typical asshole. Smirking, she turned her attention to her device, not even noticing that Karma had walked off.

To: Jack
Haha, funny. And here I was thinking that I could try this new bikini. But if your schedule is too busy, I guess I'll just have to trust the Sigmas' opinions. Have fun being a dick!

With a satisfied smirk, Naomi sent her text and chuckled to herself before remembering the company she was currently keeping. While Kyle wasn't the type to just randomly read her text messages since they weren't particularly close, Bennett was a Beta and much closer to Naomi. She and Jack had been good at not being obvious with their activities. However, it still benefited both presidents to not be obvious and instead of lingering on her phone, Naomi returned her attention to the males, specifically staring at Kyle with a light smirk. "Nice taste, Jagger," Naomi commented, nodding to the direction she thought Karma went in but wasn't too sure. Still, Karma was definitely gorgeous and Kyle had great taste from what Naomi saw from afar. She just felt that needed to be said because Karma was definitely a catch for a freshman. And if he was trying anything with her, he needed to make a claim now before anyone else did. She hadn't caught Bennett's lingering stare on her blonde friend yet, having been distracted with texting Jack.

Finally, Karma returned and Naomi's bigger smile returned and she waved off Karma's need for a ride. "No problem. I've got you. Um, anyone hungry? We still have some food left." She said, gesturing to the Zetas tables.

Poppy handed a paper to a tall girl, almost as tall as her who had asked for one. She smiled and pointed her towards the booth before turning back to Andy as he spoke. "That girl is going to turn your house upside down next year," She nudged him softly as she chuckled and shook her head. "Stop, she'll learn to reign it back a bit. She's just a little... straightforward. But, I know she'll make a perfect president. I mean, she's everything a president should be; smart, caring, popular, loyal, and her being one of the most gorgeous girls on campus doesn't hurt either." She joked before continuing. "And, if she goes to far, at least you'll be here." Seeing the gaggle of girls walking from the opposite direction, Poppy grabbed on the Andy's arm and pulled him out of the way before he ran into them. She let go of his arm before speaking. "Now Andrew, I don't know how many times I've told ya this. But, pay attention." She poked his forehead before laughing.

"I'm not in the seafood mood, so I'm going to see if I can grab a burger from the Betas. Now, we can get you something from their booth, or we can get something from mine, but either way, you're eating something." She sighed before she looked to the sky and groaned. "I told you, I'm fine. Now stop mothering me, that Ellie's job." She smirked as the walked towards the large crowd in front of the Alpha table. And all of a sudden, she looked back towards the Theta to see it busy but, not as busy as the Alphas or Zetas. People always told her she should stop comparing herself and her house to the others but, she couldn't help it. She was the President this year and if they don't make a record number of pledges like she planned, she was going to feel awful about it. And then there was the thought that maybe, the president from last year, Finn made a mistake leaving Theta Chi into the hands of Poppy and should have given it to Poppy's roommate and fellow senior, Emilia. She was popular and sweet, funny and beautiful and well, most of the things Poppy thought she, herself lacked in. Emmy had. No matter how many times people thought she was crazy, the doubt was always there. But, for the moment all those thoughts went away when she looked away from the Thetas' table and looked down Andrew intertwining his hand with hers.

She bit back a smile and tried her best to hide the blush forming on her face. And it didn't help that they were getting pushed closer and closer to one another from people bumping into them as they walked through the crowd. When they finally made it to the other side of the group, Poppy took a deep breath before breathing out. "God, I hate crowds." She stated before clearing her throat and looked back towards Andy who had stopped walking when he saw Emery. She offered him a smile as she just listened to Andy talk to him about their table. Poppy felt her phone vibrate in the pocket of her Theta jacket before raising an eyebrow. She put the fliers in her bag as she reached into her pocket to see a text from Naomi. She smiled as she opened it and text her right back.

To : Naomi

Count me and Ellie in! :)

Poppy sent the message before slipping her phone back in her pocket and grabbing the fliers back out of her bag. Right when she zipped her bag back up, she heard Andy's nickname for her and looked back towards her best friend and other close friend. "Little Miss Sunshine here needs to eat something, but I'll be over in a few to help out," She just smirked as he nudged her, before rolling her eyes and shaking her head. "Whatever, I don't need to eat anything. You're just making me." She corrected him. "But, I'm kind of in the mood for some seafood and then I'm going head back to the Thetas, okay? But, meet me after the fair because you're going to the beach with me and the Thetas before the jamboree." She poked him in the chest with a smile on her face as she looked up at him before letting go of his hand and walking towards the Kappa table where Arty was smiling over at the pair. Oh, here we go."

She watched as Popdrew walked off with one another before turning towards Kellin who had started talking to her. "Thanks Giselle, I really don't get how you do all this hair stuff. I can dye it, wash it and brush it that's about it," She tilted her head with a cocky smile on her face before speaking. "What can I say. I'm gifted in more ways than one." Giselle lost her smile for a second as Amelia walked up to the table and crouched down next to Kellin but, the second she saw the Asian girl kiss the Theta she just smirked before seeing Paige come over. Late, of course. Giselle was the one that hated tardiness, not Poppy. The whole, be there by a certain time or else, was all her. Poppy was too free wheeling, hell she was on the verge of being a pushover and Ellie would be damned before letting anyone push her best friend, the girl who was pretty much her sister around.

"Pops is going to kill me if she finds out how late I was. But I totally slept in, I swear. How are things going?" Giselle scoffed as she shook her head softly before looking over to Paige aka Poppy's little 'prodigy'. Even though, Giselle knew no one would ever take her place in Poppy's heart, she hated that she was getting so damn close to Paige. Stating how she was already 'President material'. "Oh please, I set the time to be here. Not Pops and even if she did set it, she's as vicious and mean as a... I don't know, a poodle. She wouldn't do anything."

She turned her attention towards a group of girls who had just walked up. "Hello. What can I help you lovely ladies with?" She saw the leading one lose her smiling as she started to stutter. "Wa--Wait, this is the Theta Chi table, r-right? You're a Theta?" Giselle slowly nodded as she tried hard not to roll her eyes towards the group, she promised Poppy she would work on her bitchiness and do whatever it took to hide it away whenever she was around pledges. Right when she answer, she let one ear go into Kellin and Paige conversation only to hear that Paige was going to leave to go see her little boytoy/boyfriend/whatever the hell he was to her, Tony. She smirked like the Chesire Cat before answering the girls in front of her.

"Yea...? I'm a Theta." She turned her eyes towards the others in her group of five who all seemed pretty surprised. She was used to it, to be honest most people thought that because she looked like... well, a bitch that she was a--.. "I could have swore you were one of those Alphas over there!" Oh, there was the comment that automatically made Giselle stop caring about anything the blonde said until she walked away. She hated when people said that because to her, it seemed like they were calling her a manipulative, conniving, pampered bitch. Which, in all honesty she was but she didn't need people pointing that out especially people who had no idea what she was like. "Well, I'm not. So, do you have any questions about Theta Chi or were you just looking around?" The blonde and her little followers just shook the head as they started looking at the fliers about Theta. "Well, alright then. If you get any questions, let me know. Help yourself to anything on the table or in the cooler." The girls thanked her as she fixed the goods in the basket before removing a now empty on from the table and put it with the other five filled ones she put under the table to keep them out of the Miami sun.

As Poppy walked over to the table, Marcus couldn't help but get a smirk on his face. She didn't even get the chance to defend herself on the whole, holding Andrew's hand before her friend asked about it. "Is Popdrew finally a thing?" Poppy rolled her eyes. "Popdrew is the best thing you guys could come up with? Really? And, we're just friends." Marcus looked at her blankly as she reached for a drink and tried to undo the cap. "What?" Marcus just shook his head as he grabbed the bottle and undid the tight top for her before handing back to her. "Maybe if you didn't have a weird name like Poppy. And, Friends don't go home to meet the parents."

"First off, my name is not that weird. And two, I didn't go home to meet his parents, we wanted to travel and I've never been to New York. Plus, it was the only place I could really afford to go right now." She shrugged as her close friend looked at her. "Poppy, you like him. He likes you, and he wasn't just holding your hand. Your hands were like intertwined with each others." He pointed out as he intertwined both of his hands to show how the pair looked when they were holding hands. "He just didn't want to lose a hold of me. Now, can you get me something to eat or do I have to go to the Betas?" Marcus rolled his eyes as he told one of the guys, Samuel to grill up some shrimp. "Thank you." Poppy said with a smug smile only to receive a napkin to the face from Marcus. "That, by the way is the cutest thing I have ever heard."

"Thank you...?" Poppy asked with a raised eyebrow as she sipped her Diet Coke. "No not the thank you, the whole 'He just didn't want to lose a hold of me.' That's what was cute. And, you know you liked holding his hand, face it." Marcus mused with a smirk only to finally get a true smile on Poppy's babydoll face. "See, there's the embarrassed smile I love seeing." She quickly lost it as she moved out of the way of the crowd and at the right end of the table to wait for her food. Poppy watched Marcus' hazel eyes go from her to Andrew to Emery all before going back to Poppy. Poppy hit his arm before mouthing the word 'stop', just in case Emery and Andrew thought that the pair were talking about the two of them. Which of course, they were but they didn't need to know that. If there were two people who loved to mess with Poppy about her 'more than just a crush' crush on Andy it was Marcus and Giselle. The two that, no matter what found out everything when it came to their sweet little Southern Belle. "Here you go, man." Samuel said as he looked towards Poppy and smiled before winking and going back to the grill. "And, here you are Sunshine. Grilled shrimp, just like you like it." Marcus said in his best Southern accent, trying to hide his somewhat, surfer sounding one. Poppy grabbed the plate as she smiled. "Thank you, my dear sir. And by the way, hon. Your accent? Needs a loottt of work." As she began to walk away from the Kappa table.

"Wow, that's a bullshit tip for a meal. Can't I get a hug or something." Marcus asked with a smirk as he stepped out from behind the table as Poppy turned back around and walked over to give him a hug. He squatted down a bit and pointed to his cheek. The blonde groaned in fake annoyance before kissing his cheek softly and nudging his arm to get out of his grip. "There, now stop complaining Marcus. And get back to work, youngin." Poppy said as she walked backwards still looking towards her friend. Marcus just chuckled as he looked at the people coming to their table, as if she wasn't even talking. But, there was a smartass smile on his face as he listened to her. Okay, Pops. Love you too." Marcus said as he looked towards her before turning back to the group to hand them their food. Out of the corner eye he saw Poppy looking towards Andrew before looking back at the ground and he couldn't help but shake his head and let out a short chuckle.

Daniel was seen talking to some random guys about the chapter. The guys seemed very intrigued and Daniel just went ahead and handed them pamphlets then shook hands with them as they walked away, not really stopping at another booth. "Hook, line and sinker." He said while walking back over to the grills and seeing how the guys were doing. "Everything is smelling good you guys." He told them with a soft smile then eyed Jack as he called his name again. "Hell yeah!" He shouted then made his trek over towards the Alpha table. Though, he stopped in his tracks as his cell phone chimed and he had a message from his girlfriend, basically saying that she misses him. He texted her back the similar message then placed his phone back into his pocket.

He finally made it over to the Alpha's table and smiled towards them, offering a small wave. "Hello there, Alphas." He said with a soft smile to follow. "Jack sent us over here to attract some people to the booth." He said with a slight chuckle then pulled out his cell phone again, seeing that it was a group text from Naomi, something about the beach before the jamboree. Daniel thought about it for a minute then decided to text her back.

To: Naomi
I am so there!

He hit the send button then placed his phone back to where it was. Daniel turned heel as some girls came over and asked him about the Alpha chapter. "Well, I don't know much but it's prestigious reputation speaks for itself." He pointed towards Elysia, the Alpha's president while linking arms with the two females and walking them over towards her. "These ladies were inquiring about the Alpha chapter." Daniel unlinked his arms from them then pointed towards Elysia again. "This is the person to talk to about the Alpha chapter." He eyed Elysia with a smile then wondered around the Alpha's booth and stood there with a beaming smile.

His eyes trailed over towards a female that he doesn't think he has the pleasure of meeting yet. He walked over there towards the refreshment table and stood there in front of the two females. "So, how are things going over here?" He'd ask with a smile while basically rocking on the balls of his feet and sticking his hands into his pockets.

X Settling in next to Elysia, a familiar face caught Emerson's eye across the courtyard. She quickly looked away from the familiar blonde boy, for the distaste in his expression, visible even at this distance, was enough to make the confident girl feel briefly uncomfortable. Of course, as per the rule of threes she must now meet another romantic interest, prior anyway, in the form of Amelia Park. Of course, Amelia and Emerson are far less raw that Emerson and Miles, and the two get along regardless of their high school relationship, which puttered off in a somewhat mutual way when Amelia and her family returned to South Korea. Emerson smiles at the girl, although she cannot take credit for the brownies: Emerson is not really much of a cook. Well, she can make meals, so rather she is not much of a baker. It all burns in the oven, or ends up too gooey or too dry. If she ever made brownies as good as the one provided at her house's booth, it would be labeled the eighth wonder of the world. Emerson smiles back at Elysia and returns the kiss with a brief one on the mouth before turning towards the Zetas, which had begun to dance.

X Thatch arrived on time for the little festival of recruiting, he genuinely did. In fact, suiting his habit of being an early riser, the young man had been one of the first ones there. This is also probably because Sophomores were sent ahead to help set up. However, after the first hour or so, the Sigma sophomore disappeared, making it seem reasonable for people to not realize that he had ever arrived. Until, that is, one of his brothers found him happily dozing off under a tree. The young man is an infamous napper, perhaps because he believes that sleeping in the sun is never a waste of time, and so the Sigma who finds him merely rolls his eyes, realizing that they should have known this would be the place to find Thatcher. Fortunately for the young man, he is woken up just in time to watch Naomi, Amelia, and some of the other Zeta girls put on a dance number for the crowd. Truth be told, he himself could never dance like that, although he is passable at swing dancing, and so he admires abilities in others that he lacks. He notices Amelia wink at Emerson and Elysia, and the way that Emerson raises her eyebrows and smiles makes him wonder if they ever had something in the past. It doesn't impact him much, though he hasn't been Emerson's biggest fan since the latest break up with Miles.

X It is clear in Emerson's expression that she takes this as an issued challenge. Of course, if one is being perfectly honest, the competitive woman is likely to take almost anything as a challenge. Part of her relentlessly ambitious nature is a desire to surpass any expectations, and one for a fantastic year seems to fit the bill. "Is that a promise, or a challenge?" Of course, she unlinks her arm from Elysia's when a blond freshman, who Em has heard plenty about by now, comes over and begins rushing through her words, everything sounding like one large run-on sentence. A little bit faster and she'd be spreading, Emerson thinks, and chuckles very softly, mostly internally, at her own very lame joke.

X Thatcher pushes himself up and heads back over to the Sigma booth, stretching his arms upwards toward the sky as he does so. The nap was perhaps a bit early in the morning, but he's been up since 5am so it hardly feels that way to him. Instead, it served as the perfect refresher. Thatcher doesn't need coffee or soda to keep him alert: green apples, exercise, and liberal napping does the job for the rather healthy young man. It's immediately clear that a lot of the Sigmas are wandering around rather than manning the booth, and Thatch can hardly blame them. Houses competing for the best recruits with food, music, and other forms of temptation, though subtle, makes for a good time. It's even more interesting to watch now that he isn't one of the lost freshman being courted. Of course, upon coming to this school Thatch had pretty much already known where he wanted to pledge: Sigmas were by far the most fun, least overbearing, and most relaxed of the fraternities. Sure, plenty of his fraternity brothers liked to live fast, but there was definitely a life for someone who liked to stroll and enjoy things, like Thatch. He walks up to Miles, the pres, and grins sheepishly. "I may have dozed off, sorry man. What can I do?" perhaps because he is still a sophomore, or because he is awake and ready to go from the nap, Thatcher is eager to help out.

X "I could go for the beach," Emerson remarks. She could use some relaxing after the debate, as the final round had been brutal. It had been against the girl who got first, actually. Thinking about it Emerson sighs: there are very few people she can tolerate defeat from, and that girl, one of the top LD college debaters in this area's circuit, was one of them. They were constantly switching off between wins, and it drove Emerson wild. Of course, she secretly loved it as well, because nothing very easy is really worth doing, as far as she's concerned. "I need a reason to try on that new swimsuit," she adds.

Her freshman year was off to a shaky start. Dori was scheduled to move in with the rest of the freshman yesterday, but she didn't make it to the school until the early hours of this morning. The first hitch was expected: her foster parents couldn't afford (or didn't want to front the cash, as Dori would say) to have her fly straight from Kansas City to Miami, so she was put on a multi-stop flight that was supposed to land in Fort Lauderdale around three in the afternoon on Monday. She would then have to take an hour long bus ride to Fulton. It was an inconvenience compared to how simple things could have been if she had just flown into Miami or had parents who would drive her and her luggage down, but had things gone as planned, she would have been fine with it. In a perfectly "just my luck" fashion, however, things didn't. Her flight left Kansas an hour late due to storms, and was delayed once again for two additional hours during her layover in Detroit. When she finally landed in Florida, it was nearly seven o'clock and to make matters worse, two of the three bags of luggage she had brought were missing. After three hours of dealing with customer service and hitting dead end after dead end, the bags were discovered in a different terminal. By now, no buses were running the long route to Miami and Dori was forced to spend the night in the airport hotel, which luckily, was complimentary as an apology for the luggage mishap.

This morning, she took the first bus to Miami and after a bit of rush hour traffic, arrived at the university at around eight-thirty in the morning. She was flustered from the previous day's chaos but consistently reminded herself that she needed to remain positive. She was finally doing something with her life and if she started on a bad note, there was no way that she was going to excel here. If nothing else, at least the weather in Miami was delightful, she considered. After hauling her luggage to the wrong dormitory and then finally to the correct one, she managed to check-in and get all of her paperwork sorted out before finally arriving in her room for the year. She had been lucky enough to be placed in one of the newer dormitories so while she shared a common room and bathroom with two other girls, they each had small, but separate bedrooms. The girls' names were listed as Jessica and Karma, but when Dori got to the dorm room, neither girl were there. She helped herself to the only unclaimed bedroom and although it was certainly a step up from some of the dorms she had toured last year, it was still your typical barren dormitory. Her first step of the day was making her bed, which consisted of putting on a simple set of white sheets and a purple comforter that brought a pop of color to the room. She hadn't brought any posters or photos to hang on the wall, so besides setting up some of her school supplies on her desk and plugging her phone in to charge, there wasn't much left to do. She wasn't satisfied with the room's look, but she didn't have much time to fret over it anyway. She realized how hungry she actually was and after fingering through the folder filled with papers that the dorm adviser had given her, she saw that there was an activities fair scheduled to start within the next few hours.

After changing out of the casual tank top and gym shorts that she had arrived in and into a more presentable outfit, she left the dormitory and navigated her way across campus to one of the dining halls. She was on a limited meal plan but after such a painful commute, she wasn't about to skimp on some comfort food. A bagel, blueberry muffin and cup of yogurt later, and she was finally on her way to the Activity Fair. For once, this destination wasn't hard to find. The entire grassy air of the courtyard was filled with different stations representing different organizations. Dori was definitely interested in getting involved with clubs on campus so she took her time as she moved from booth to booth. She put her name and email address own for a fair amount of clubs: the Spanish club, study-abroad program, fashion club, African heritage club, community service leaders, and intramural basketball to name a few. Although she didn't plan on actually dedicating herself to every one of them, she was interested in at least going to the first meeting for each of them and figuring out if she wanted to be involved after giving it a shot. Plus, nearly everyone she spoke to at the booths seemed outgoing and kind. Even if she didn't plan on joining every club, at least she was making friendly acquaintances along the way.

As she approached the end of the courtyard, she found the most amount of people and as she got closer, she realized that it was because this was the Greek life area. There were six booths representing the three fraternities and three sororities and although passing the fraternity booths was easy, she wasn't sure where to start with the sororities. Hell, she wasn't even sure if she wanted to join a sorority! Each of them had their own unique look but they all shared the appearance of being well put together, especially compared to some of the club booths she had passed earlier. Between the apparent dress code among the girls and the elegant display of foods, the Alpha Theta Pi booth struck her as being the "royalty" sorority. The girls all looked very prim and proper - the type who Dori imagined would attend débutante balls and take etiquette lessons on their days off. It was probably far from true, but their coordinated outfits and over-the-top food tables gave her the impression that they topped the school's social hierarchy. When she stopped to get a glass of lemonade from the table, the two girls working the refreshment table seemed to solidify that image for her. The blonde and brunette were both gorgeous, as was the boy conversing with them, but their smiles and attitudes seemed superficial. Although Dori didn't engage in conversation with either and continued on her way after grabbing the drink, she got the sense that they weren't in great moods. She wasn't aware of the reasons behind it, but it didn't give her the best vibes. As she continued though, she caught the eye of another Alpha, who was probably of Asian-decent and appeared to be closer in age with her. This girl seemed to be much more pleasant, but still thinking the house probably wasn't for her, she just took one of the pamphlets that the girl was distributing and offered a cheerful, "thanks!" before walking to the next booth.

Despite having a big breakfast, Dori couldn't resist plating a loaded baked potato and slider when she reached the Zeta table. Maybe the smell of the Betas barbecuing had something to do with it, but suddenly, she was ready for lunch. "This is amazing," she gushed to the brunette manning the table, after almost finishing the baked potato in a few bites. In an effort to make it clear that she wasn't just there to mooch off of the free food, she took one of the Zeta fliers off of the table and gave it a quick scan. "So, do I have it right that you guys are like, the party sorority?" she grinned, then eyeing the Jell-O shots on the other side of the table.

Sam wasn't surprised when Kyle waltzed over with a stunning freshman glued to his side. He introduced her as a friend but Sam was sure that if there weren't already some "benefits" in that friendship, there would be by the end of the week. He assumed that there was already more going on between the pair though. She was only a freshman, so they must have met recently, but living in the room next to Kyle meant that Sam often heard more than he wanted to from Kyle's room. Luckily, the Sigma walls were pretty thick, but he could have sworn that he'd heard a higher pitched, muffled voice on the other side of the wall last night. He gave her a quick up and down look, trying to figure out where he recognized her from more than actually checking her out, before giving up and settling with a polite smile. "Nice to meet you, I'm Sam," he offered before Miles gave her a fair warning on Kyle. As Miles left to get food, Sam lagged behind a bit, only to offer Kyle a quick smirk and thumbs up as he nodded his head towards the young blonde. Miles had good reason to tell Karma to be careful with Kyle but simply judging by the girl's beauty and demeanor, he probably needed to watch his back too.

Sam thanked Miles for the burgers he returned with, but didn't have time to say much more to him, as the Sigma president reluctantly made his way to the Zeta booth. Music had started playing and as he glanced in that direction, he spotted a crowd forming around a few people dancing. He didn't see Zoey in the mix but wasn't going to interrupt the show, so before returning to his girlfriend, he made a pit stop at the Kappa booth. "Is Andy around?" he asked one of the sophomores who stood at the edge of their booth.

"He's at the Theta table with Poppy, I think," the guy responded simply.

Sam nodded but as he turned away, couldn't stop himself from smiling slightly. He should have known. Andrew was his closest friend in the Kappa house and one of the smartest guys he knew at Fulton. It shocked him how someone so intelligent, kind and insightful hadn't realized yet that Poppy wasn't the perfect girl for him yet. The two seemed to click just as well as he and Zoey, and maybe even better since both of them seemed too sweet for the the constant bickering he and Zoey engaged in.

When he returned to the Zeta table, he found the music lowered, Naomi and Amelia gone, and Zoey chatting with a freshman. "A burger for my lady," he said playfully as he slid the plate in front of her and took a seat on the empty chair next to her. He'd probably have to get up when Naomi or another real Sigma representative showed up, but everyone seemed preoccupied with other things at the moment. He had gotten to the booth after Dorothy had finished speaking, and with a hot burger in front of him, he wasn't paying attention enough to the girls' conversation enough to offer more than a friendly smile to her.

To: Naomi
I'm in

He responded to Naomi's text quickly, knowing that if she was going, Zoey most likely was as well. He spent the past summer and many before as a lifeguard for the Disney World water parks and resorts, but even after a grueling routine, he could never get enough of the water.

"Of course it's a great idea, I came up with it," Zoey responded with a smile as she watched Naomi tap away at her phone screen as she invited the others. She pulled her phone out to do the same thing, but since she shared a majority of her friends with Naomi, there was only one friend who she could think of who the invite probably hadn't been extended to. Grace. Just as she began to text her, she received a text from the Alpha reading, "Elysia hates me. Come say hi to me <3". "Speaking of the devil..." she muttered, barely noticing as Naomi disappeared again from the booth. Grace's text wasn't really surprising, especially since Zoey had suspected something was up when she didn't spot her at the Alpha table earlier. However, she didn't exactly have a whole lot of sympathy for Grace in this instance either. From what Zoey knew of her, Elysia could be a complete bitch, but Grace was no sheep either. Besides, she had chosen the Alpha house for a reason and had probably dealt with girls far worse than Elysia when she was rushing.

To: Grace
I'm too tired to get up :P. Come to the beach before the jamboree? Jack's gonna be there ;D

She may not have commented on it, but Zoey had definitely caught Naomi's eyes lingering on Jack moments before. Naomi didn't have to hide it from her though, since Zoey was well aware of whatever it was she had with the Beta President. The mere fact that both of them hid their relationship from the rest of the world was enough of an indication to Zoey that they shouldn't be involved with each other though. Even though Zoey thought that Jack would be lucky to get a girl like Naomi, she was going to do everything in her power to prevent Naomi from stooping to that level. She had no need to doing anything outside of the bedroom with an ass like Jack Reynolds. Maybe that was why she didn't mind playing along with Grace's crush on Jack, and at times like now, even encouraging it. When she saw Naomi giving him looks like that, she feared that her best friend really was falling for him and if she had to toss someone just as selfish onto him to prevent that, she would.

The traffic around their booth had slowed momentarily, but just as she was about to text Sam and demand he hurry up with their food, a girl who had been hovering over the food table spoke up. Zoey glanced up, slightly surprised to see someone show up alone, as most of the freshman tended to travel in packs during the first few weeks on campus. Everyone was trying to find their niche and making friends was an essential part of having a fun freshman year. This girl didn't appear to be bothered by traveling solo and was actually quite friendly.

"Our President, Naomi, made them so I'm not surprised," Zoey smiled, tempted to take one for herself since Sam had apparently fallen off of the face of the earth with her food. "I don't know if anything here can compare to the nachos she makes when we're wasted though," she added, more to herself than to the freshman. Anything seemed to taste good to Zoey after shotgunning a few beers, though.

The girl had definitely heard the remark though, because her next comment was, "So, do I have it right that you guys are like, the party sorority?"

"I mean, we definitely know how to have a good time," she responded, trying to be careful with her words. Maybe she was just in one of her maternal moods, but she felt like the freshman in front of her was still young. At her age, Zoey probably already had the tolerance level of a 30-year-old man, but she wasn't going to corrupt anyone. Not until they officially pledged Zeta, anyway. She leaned closer, "Unless you want to spend the next four years in a stuffy blazer or sitting alone in the library, Zetas your best bet, though." Okay, maybe she was biased, but she wasn't in the mood to recite the list of charity events they volunteered at last year and how being a Zeta would help her professionally down the line. Besides, Zoey was sure that at least the Alphas were going to be ruthless in their attempt to get every decent-looking girl to rush Alpha. Not because they planned on allowing them all to join, but just to be able to say that they rejected an insane number of them to make themselves look more exclusive.

This girl seemed like Zeta material, anyway. Realizing that she hadn't even caught the girl's name yet, she decided to introduce herself. "I'm Zoey, by the way. A senior Zeta," she reached out a hand to Dori. "Let me know if you have any questions, and the other Zetas are floating around too if you want to talk to them. Amy's a sophomore, super nice... she was dancing over here earlier but I don't know where she ran off to. She's a good one to talk to though, so if you see her, feel free to ask her anything. She just rushed last year so she'll tell you that we aren't too mean," she winked. "And obviously Naomi's good to talk to too. She just ran off somewhere but if you have any major questions, stick around for a few and she'll be back."

She had ignored Sam's interruption minutes before but once she finished her semi-helpful response to Dori, she acknowledged him. "Took you long enough," she said, wanting to sound angry but not being able to sound more than slightly annoyed as she made eye contact with him.

As the boys that were interested in the Sigma’s booth dispersed and took to look at the other houses booths, Miles’ eyes focused again on his ex-girlfriend, whose sight always either infuriated him or infatuated him. There was rarely ever n in between with Emerson and the way Miles felt for her. He was either head over heels for her or he was fed up with her entirely, and perhaps that’s why their relationship suffered every time that it did. Both were very head strong in everything that they did and both felt everything and did everything intensely. When Emerson and Miles fought, it was always a fight to bring down the walls of a house or bad enough to have the neighbors peek out their windows in the middle of the night. But when they loved, they loved enough to give color to a world in black and white. At the moment Miles resented Emerson and Elysia for their relationship; he didn’t know who he hated more though, Elysia for attempting to break them up or Emerson for allowing it to happen. He likes to think he hates them both equally but everyone knows that Miles can’t truly hate Emerson – no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t.

Miles was caught off guard when Thatcher approached him asking if there was something he could do to help. The boy still had sleep lines across face and his hair was very slightly disheveled. Miles looked around the booth and scratched his head in thought. “Uhmm, yeah Thatcher…” Miles looked back at Naomi and remember the invite to the beach. “Help me clean this up,” Miles continued, “A few of us are hitting the beach. Help me put the cooler in my car and put the table and shit back.”
Miles tried to call out to Sam and Kyle to get help putting things away so they can get a head start to the beach to set up some coolers and speakers for music.

As Miles and Thatcher started to pull their things together, Bennett stood nearby having a conversation with Karma. She introduced herself, “Karma, Karma Cohen.” Her name for some reason brought a smile to Bennett’s face, he thought it was a pretty name, but then she continued, “I’m a freshman.” Bennett gently chuckled at the fact. He shook hands with the girl as she introduced herself – her hands were soft, Bennett thought. He shook back, “Bennett, Bennett Atkins. I’m a sophomore.” He said smiling back at her. Soon after the girl ran off, promising she’d be back quickly. Bas watched her hop off, shrieking, as she met with a friend. He smiled as she hopped up and down, shrieking god knows what into the other girls face. There was an instant attraction to the girl – so much so that Bennett completely forgot that she was seconds earlier attached to Kyle’s hip.

Time//Day
3:20// Tuesday Afternoon

By three in the afternoon, a few of the non-Greek organizations had begun cleaning up their areas and dispersing and when twenty minutes passed, so had some of the Zetas. They were still in the process of moving things since the fair had drawn to a close and the setting up for the jamboree would be commencing soon. Naomi had sent off Kyle, Bennett, and Karma after a few more minutes, not really thinking about inviting Kyle to their beach excursion - not out of not wanting him there, but because it had slipped her mind until he had already disappeared into the crowd. Besides, Miles would tell him, right? Before they began cleaning up their own section, Naomi had run across a new girl near the Zeta booth who had been talking to Zoey. Once Karma had confirmed that she needed a ride and Naomi had agreed to be such, she had returned to her girls and seen the rusher checking out snacks and talking to other members. When one of the Zetas saw Naomi, they pointed her out to the new girl, whose name she had been told was Dori. "Hey, well, I'm Naomi. We'll probably start heading out soon, but you should come to the beach. A few friends and such are gonna be there, and who knows? You might just fall in love with us." She had said, ending on a wink before waving the girl off and making plans.

While Naomi had gotten Ever, Rebecca, and Angel and a few other notable Zetas who weren't going to the beach to assist more with the cleaning up, she still found herself helping out - not because no one was following her orders, but because she didn't want to put everything on them. She had just returned a few of the tables given by the Student Government Association when she decided to send out another mass text, including Thatcher who she hadn't seen at the fair at the time.

Headed back 2 my house 2 get changed. Any1 who needs a ride, c u in 30 mins. Otherwise, c evry1 at the beach :D

Sliding her phone away and waving off Lianne, Naomi headed in the direction of the Zeta house. She was immediately swamped with girls running in and out of their living space; some because they were going to be late for classes or work, and others simply because they had plans for the rest of the afternoon. Laughing at one of the girls who practically squealed upon seeing her boyfriend and practically pouncing on him, Naomi closed the door behind herself and jogged upstairs to get to her room. Luckily for her, being a senior and a president had its perks, which included a slightly larger room, which was a single. She definitely appreciated that, she realized, as the silence there was enough to remind her that she did, in fact, have plans. Running her hands over her face lightly, she decided to take a quick shower. It was a thing of hers; she could never change in to one outfit without at least taking a quick dip in the shower unless she was getting ready for bed. Once out, she applied a sunblock on her smooth skin with the same warm, sweet and nutty fragrance she was known for. Afterwards, Naomi rifled through her selection of swimwear before deciding upon one of the newer ones. She hadn't actually meant it when she told Jack that she had been planning on wearing a new bikini; she just needed something to say to get back at him. However, she liked the strappy zebra-print bikini her mom had picked out in her attempts at winning the "Mother of the Year" award. "Yeah, right," she muttered to no one in particular at the thought before finishing up.

Once she was officially ready dressed and her bag was full with her towel, wallet, and a few books and magazines to read, Naomi slid on some sunglasses and was applying some rose oil lip balm as she descended back down the stairs. The house was only a bit quieter with the sound of pitter-pattering from various rooms and the hallways. With about ten minutes to spare, Naomi traipsed into the kitchen to make herself a smoothie, which consisted of strawberries, bananas, vanilla yogurt, and blueberries. Once it had gotten to a smooth consistency (she hated ice in smoothies), she poured the thick liquid into a travel cup with an attachable lid and straw. She took a sip just to taste it and while sucking that down leisurely, walked out of the house, ready to hang out at the beach. Naomi walked across the street to her 2014 Tahoe, climbing in and cranking on the radio while she waited for people.

"Pretend it never happened and let bygones be bygones" Alexandri had to let out a small sigh of relief. Of course Naomi's body language didn't exactly tell him that she believed him at all, neither did the sort of smug look on the extremely tall girl standing next to him, but nonetheless Alexandri was pleased by how things had gone. ""You should go check out the other booths like all the other freshmen. It'll be fun and I'm sure one of them have free booze." That comment made him laugh a little. Something in Naomi's tone told him that the last part probably was more meant for herself and he couldn't help made an ironic comment followed by a little wink. "Little early for a drink don't you think?"

As none of the ladies seemed interested in continuing talking to him, Alexandri said a quick goodbye to the ladies just as Austin walked over to him. "Dobroye utro, Austin" He greeted her with a smile before leading her away from the two blondes. "Yeah, we are supposed to check out organizations and stuff. Especially the Greek houses with those ridiculous names" He said with a little laugh. Why the housed had such complicated names was really beyond his comprehension. They could easily have done with just a third of the Greek alphabet they used. Well well, not really anything he could do with that. Then he heard a 'pling' from his phone. "Two seconds" Alexandri said as he pulled his rather ancient HTC out of his pocket only to discover a message from his uncle ordering him down to one of the projects Evans construction was currently doing. If he had the time of course. "Sorry, I got to go. Try to enjoy the booths okay? See you at the jamboree later. Do do svidaniya" With that he spun around on his heals and headed towards the parking lot where his not-quite-so-beautiful BMW 3-series was standing.

20 minutes later Alexandri was down at the office so his uncle could tell him what the emergency was. And 30 minutes later Alexandri was down at the beach-line in the iconic cargopants-ish pants any type of construction workers use, helping one of the polish carpenters building a terrace for some rich fuck who couldn't do it himself.

Amelia had stayed behind to help with the cleaning up and all, well more like she played patty cake with one of her fellow Zeta's, Jenna for about ten minutes or so before she actually began cleaning. She helped move some things back to were they belonged with a few people from different houses and joked around on the way back. Amelia had received the text earlier from Naomi about the beach and she was all for it but was a bit too busy to text Kyle or Kellin to see if they were going. Now she had the time too though and as Naomi began waving people off, Amy decided to leave a few minutes before she did getting to the house first. Upon entering, all the chaos and girls running around in a hurry made Amelia smirk. They were scrambling around getting ready for work or evening plans but it made Amy laugh because some absolutely looked like mad women. Carefully dodging the girls and successfully getting to the steps, she climbed them all the way up with her board in hand before speed walking down the hall and entering her room closing the door behind her.

"Hello?" she called out wondering if her roommate was here but she wasn't and with a shrug Amy tossed her board next to her bed along with her backpack and began to strip. She was in her underwear when her phone vibrated on it's night stand. she grabbed it, unlocked it and read that it was a text from Naomi.

From; Naomi
Headed back 2 my house 2 get changed. Any1 who needs a ride, c u in 30 mins. Otherwise, c evry1 at the beach :D

Smiling, Amy began to write out a text to Kyle and Kellin.

To; Kyle, Kellin
Hey you guys going to the beach? I'm going and want you guys to go too! Pleaseeee~? If you do decied to come meet me at Naomi's car in a half hour!

With that Amy tapped the send button and began to wrtie yet another text but this time it was a response to Naomi.

To; Naomi
I'm going! I call shotgun haha. Hey do you mind if Kyle and Kellin come? I mean if they agree to come anyway? Or is it too much?

Pressing the send button once more, Amelia went off into the bathroom for a quick shower, yes she already took one but she was outside for a good while and a bit sweaty so regardless if she was going to the beach she was still gonna take a shower. Amy wanted Naomi to say yes because she wanted her two best friends to come but she didn't wanna be rude or anything. After she was done she got dressed and flipped her hair all to one side. She put on some sunscreen she had brought recently that smelled like roses and honey along with a pink tinted lip gloss. Smiling at herself in the mirror, Amy adjusted some things before re-filling her backpack with her sunscreen, a bottle of Dr.Pepper, her lip gloss, some change of clothes just in case, a towel and her novel that she wanted to finish. The asian slipped on her flip flops, slipped on her backpack, sunglasses and hat then was out the door feeling all refreshed. Putting on her earphones, Amelia picked out a song that had a more softer tone to it and began her trip out the house and to Naomi's car.

Upon arrival she playfully stuck out her tongue to the woman who sat in the driver seat then quickly ran around the front to the passenger seat seeing it empty. "Hello darling~" she leaned in pecking Naomi on the cheek setting her backpack on the floor in front of her. " Looking on point as always." Amy giggled softly bumping Naomi with her shoulder. "Oh hey, I downloaded a couple of new songs I think you might like. Wanna hear them?"

ImageKellin laughed lightly and smiled at Giselle lightly. "I can see," She replied calmly. Eventually that conversation fizzled out and Kellin had ended up going for a wonder in attempt to find coffee. She was absolutely desperate for it but her search ended up taking her back to the dorm where she could count on her own humble kettle, instant coffee and her 'Breaking Bad' flask. She was in the process of piling an unholy amount of sugar into the cup followed by an equally debatable amount of coffee granules when she saw Amelia's message and she grinned lightly.

To: Amelia
Totally! Count me in. Let me make a toxic coffee then I'll make my way over!

As she waited for the kettle boil, she padded around her room chucking things she'd need into a bag, change of clothes in case she went in the water, swim suit, flip-flops, sun lotion, a comic and of course she cherished the excuse to wear her'big floppy hat'which she adored but most of her peers and her friends were such big fans of her favourite hat.

As she stood there staring at the bulging bag, she frowned and looked down at her current outfit, it wasn't very beach appropriate just the thought of all the sand getting stuck in her jeans made her cringe, so she quickly changed into a skirt and vest-top with a tight sleeved but loose fitting cardigan. She then sat quite comfortably on her bed with her chin in her hands staring accusingly at the kettle, wishing it would get a move on already. She drummed her fingers against her jaw-bone huffing and puffing as she waited then a loud shrill whistle screamed through her room and she leapt for joy. She practically pounced on the kettle and poured the content out into her flask, she splashed in a small amount of milk, popped on the lid of her flask and made her way out of the door, singing to herself boredly. She only had the best part of the ten minutes to make it out of the halls to Naomi's car, so she decided to get a move on and hurried down the stairs her cardigan chasing her stretched long legs and she made her way down the flight of stairs then she made her way through the campus and finally out to the car park.

She was still singing 'If I'm James Dean, You're Audery Hepburn' loudly, it wasn't totally unbearable but she stumbled over the lyrics like she didn't have a clue. She caught sight of Naomi and Amelia and she beamed at them excitedly. "Hey guys!" She raced over to them both with a bright smile and swiftly hugged Amelia, as always all in for PDA. "How are you both?" She asked nicely as she turned her gaze to the pair of them as she sipped from her flask, her face creasing up when she realised how hot it was as she swiftly pulled the flask back and deciding against consuming any more of it for a while.

Although Kellin didn't know Naomi particularly well she was an 'innocent till proven guilty' kind of person so she was more than happy to be sociable, talkative and friendly with the other girl and she was friends with Amelia so Kellin had every faith that Naomi was a lovely person worth knowing.

Austin had smiled as he greeted her. She found him a bit odd but she still liked him for being that one odd person. She didn't mind it at all though. It was pretty nice in her opinion. Everyone had that bitr of oddness in them and they coukdnt be able to deny it? Unless they want to lie about it. But that's up to him, she wouldn't worry about it at all. They will be who they are and she could do nothing to stop them at all. Austin was just about to ask Alexandri about going with her to the beach when she was interrupted. She simply nodded at him waiting til the call was done. She hadnt even gotten a chance to say anything and he was already off.
Sutin wouldn't be able to lie to herself, that hurt a lot in her opinion. She waved goodbye doubting that he would even see it before ealking around a bit. She saw a similar girl that seemed to be walking around table to table. Maybe she would be able to talk to her. From behidn GH e girl looked pretty. She walked over to her thinking as she walked. The girl seemed to be more so in her own word. Her brown eavy hair looked really pretty and she smiled to herself thinking about it. A cute little friend would be nice to have. So she slowly walled over trying to find the perfecr time to actually begin to talk to her. She didn't want to just barge into a conversation with her, since it would be pretty rude in her own case.
She fixed her hair slightly as the girl was left alone as the other girls chatted with each other. She took the opportunity to walk up to her and introduce herself. "Hey, sorry if I seem too jumpy, but do you want to hang out? I'm still looking around the place. Plus I know no one around here" she told her with a soft smile hoping not to scare the poor girl away from her just yet. Not that she was planning to. She just wanted to have a simple and fun time, maybe he to know a few people too. It kind of sucked only knowing one person at the moment.
She overheard them talking about the beach and she honestly liked the idea a lot. That means she could make new friends and be able to know people from different houses or whatever they called them. She honestly had no clue with the whole different names of houses and the word that starts with an s.
Just thing she started to feel really rude as she was with the girl. "Sorrym my name is Austin." She asked with a laugh? Of course Austin would forget to introduce herself to others. This was a bad habit of hers but it !made her laugh quite a bit at times. Since she expected to know everyone name and them know hers, so when she doesnt remember a name she feels really awkward and weird about it. So let's not really talk about it at all. She sent a text to Alexandri. "Hey, you should stop by the beach when you're free" She sent him looking up at the other girls. "So did you?"

As the activities fair winded down to an end, Miles and Thatcher worked to put away the items of the booth. Miles wanted to get out of the clothes he was wearing, into some board shorts and onto the beach. For some reason he suddenly felt stressed out simply being at school. He needed a moment to de-stress and he knew the best way to do that would be to chill on the beach with a beer in hand. It was the best way Miles knew how to relax at this point in his college career and he was moving as fast as he could to get his hands on a cool beer can. He lugged several items over to his Jeep, putting the items in the back seat. He filled the car up as much as he could so that he wouldn't have to make several trips. He hopped in the front seat and made his way to the Sigma house. He pulled into the drive way and started unloading the car of his items. He didn't bother to open up the garage that was at the end of the driveway, to put the items in. Instead he just set everything in front of the garage door and ran inside to get changed.

The perks of having become the house president meant that Miles gets the bedroom upgrade as well as the duty upgrade. Miles hated having one of the smaller bedrooms when he was a younger member of the house but upon becoming president and getting the larger bedroom, Miles knew exactly what he wanted to do with it. He styled his room with a very classic look. His bed was nice and big but left plenty of room in the rest of his room for the rest of his furniture. Miles' bedroom was always well kempt and clean. One of the biggest pet peeves Miles had was a messy room. As he walked into his room to get changed, he noticed his bed was undone and he groaned. He almost wanted to stop to clean it but he wanted to be away from where he was more than anywhere else. Miles turned to the hallway before closing his bedroom door, "My car leaves in 15 minutes. If you need a ride, have your ass ready and downstairs before I come down. Otherwise you're on your own." Miles shut the door behind him and started to rifle through his clothes.

Bennett was in his room changing when he received a text from Naomi. He was definitely going to need a ride so he knew he needed to pick up the pace and decide what he was going to wear already. Bennett hated not looking presentable, even when he wore sweatpants or dressed down, he made it a point to look at least half way decent. He through together an outfit and texted Naomi back.

To: Naomi
Headed out to your car now. Better have a seat open!

Bennett quickly made his way through his bedroom door and down the stairs to the foyer. Bennett called out that he was going to the beach and hitch a ride with Naomi. He walked out of the house and headed straight for Naomi's car.

The Zeta girls seemed really nice which was reassuring. If she did decide to rush, at least she had an idea of which house might be best for her. Naomi, the president, had invited her to the beach but besides not having a ride, Dori wasn't sure if she wanted to tag along when she didn't know anyone. Plus, she had spent most of her summer working at a local pizzeria and was feeling especially pale compared to all of the sun-loving Miami residents.

After finishing her food and thanking Zoey and Naomi for the information, she turned to head back to her dormitory. She still had some unpacking to do and was interested in meeting her roommates, Karma and Jessica. Just as she turned around though, a girl with bright pink hair began to talk with her. She spoke quickly and although she didn't explicitly say it, the way that she claimed that she didn't know anyone made Dori assume that she was also a freshman. She laughed a little when the girl remembered to introduce herself at the end, but smiled. Her first impression of Austin was that she was a little bit out there, but in a good way. She seemed friendly and authentically nice and after spending the past few hours alone, it was nice to have someone approach her and want to talk. "Hey! I'm Dori. I heard that a lot of people are going down to the beach but I have to stop by the financial aid office," she said with a frown. "I would love to hang out later though! Here, put your number in my phone and I'll text you later," she said, pulling her phone out of her pocket and handing it to Austin. Once the girl handed it back to her, she slipped it back into her jeans. "See you later, Austin!" she said as she headed away from the fair.

Until Austin had asked her to hang out, she hadn't remembered that she needed to stop by the financial aid office but that was now her first stop. Her financial aid and scholarships covered most of her tuition, but she also needed to get a work study job to support her living expense over the year.

“Nah. She's just entertaining the thought and making new friends. She'll be an Alpha for sure. Bet it'll piss off Grace if I made Karma President instead of her.” She smirked on the last part, almost sneering before flipping her hair over her shoulder and continuing. “And, yes. He did tell me. However, Grace showed up five hours late and didn't even come home last night. Nobody knows where she was. Zoey probably has an alibi. Formerly known as a lie to cover for her ass. So she's on refreshment duty. As for Natalie... She's been stealing again and I'm going to make an example out of her later today. And it won't be just handling clean-up duty either.” She gave a shrug of her shoulders before sighing, shaking her head. “Also, yes. The beach sounds awesome. Now, shoo. I don't want you over here making googoo eyes at the dunce.” She shooed Jack away, thinking that a beach trip would be wonderful. Plus, it was always fun to crash a Zeta party.

She turned as Daniel brought a group of girls over, immediately giving a bright smile. “Thanks, Danny,” she exclaimed before offering the girls some of the food laid out. “Hey! I'm --”

“You're Elysia Hanta! Your mom is Isi Hanta, right?!” The smaller of the five girls exclaimed loudly and Sia couldn't help but to smirk just the tiniest bit. She was an Alpha; she loved recognition. “You are correct, young lady. I'm also the President of this chapter. Now, I know you may be tempted to pledge on my merit, but I do encourage you to explore Zeta Nu Delta and Theta Chi before making your choice. But, I'll go ahead and give you the deets on who's who mkay?” She gave the girls a dazzling smile, allowing her ego to be stroked by their attentive and adoring gazes and excited giggling. “Alpha Theta Pi is a house brimming with legacies. As you can see, we pride ourselves in appearance and formalities. You'll find that most of our girls are in possession of bright minds and excellent leadership qualities. We host a number of bonding activities on and off campus and concerning job opportunities, neither of the other two compete. With our name on your resume, you're guaranteed a top notch employment at a number of places. Especially since plenty of us have family ties with very prestigious employers.”

She turned towards the other girls and began to indicate some to stress her point. “Delilah Young is the daughter of Lan and Nathaniel Young. Those of you who are interested in the medical field will likely know their names. And then you have Julie Matthews; Her parents are two of the best lawyers east of the Mississippi. Diana Jenko; Her mother is Leila Jenko, who I'm sure you're familiar with from CSI: Dallas. Her father is the award-winning director, Michael Jenko. Then you've got our lovely twins, Jemma and Cassidy Rivers. They come from a family of well-renowned thespians.”

Elysia very much enjoyed bragging about her girls, pointing out a few more before turning to see the group of girls had expanded by about a dozen or more, lighting up her face. “You'll find many girls of many talents here and despite the rumors you may have heard, a prestigious family name is not needed to pledge. Nor are foul attitudes welcome. We look for young women who are ready to tackle and change the world while remaining poised and graceful. We offer you the tools you need to succeed in life as well as a lasting bond of sisterhood. If you'd like to find out more about us, we're holding a few events this week. We'll be at the jamboree tonight, we're having a foam party on a boat tomorrow night, a brunch on Thursday, and a hike on Friday. Don't worry about remembering it all – You can find everything in the pamphlets as well as our Facebook, Twitter, and blog.”

Antonio watched as Elysia worked the crowd, moving between the Alpha and Beta booths to capture both video and photography footage. As the girls dispersed after taking numerous photos with the Alphas and adding many of them on their social media sites, Antonio made his way to Elysia with a grin. “I'm surprised none of them asked for an autograph,” he chuckled. She only rolled her eyes. “Why would then when they can boast that they know me personally? I never asked for Arturo Vitolli's autograph,” she pointed out. He nodded in agreement and they went their separate ways to finish their day. She eventually shed her blazer with the other girls. While the original afternoon heat was of no bother to them, it only got hotter and she couldn't wait for the time for the beach to come. But it seemed that the hours flew and they were soon packing up shop. The Alphas had dispersed before the other Greek houses, Elysia wanting to take care of business before heading out. She pulled out her phone and texted Karma as she walked with the others back to their cars with her sorority and a number of helping hands in tow.

To: mitaksi ki
karma-babe! heyyy. we're headed out early. gotta take leftovers to the soup kitchen & have a meeting. c u @ the beach ♥ ♥ ♥

Location: Alpha Theta Pi Sorority House
Time: 3:15pm

“Alright, loves! Great job at the booth today. I saw a lot of potentials, but we've still got a lot more time to get to know them personally.” Elysia stood in the center of the common area with her hands clasped together. “You guys worked really hard today and I'm very proud of you. For that, we're treating ourselves to the beach. More specifically, we're crashing a Zeta beach party. But, before that, we've got something serious to discuss.”

She spared no time before turning her gaze to Natalie, a cheery smile on her face. “Nat, darling, you'll find that all of your things have been packed and are waiting in your room. I really stress the your part. Everything that you've borrowed and stolen has been returned to the rightful owners. As of this very moment, you're no longer a sister of Alpha Theta Pi and I never want to see your face in this house again. Really, don't even come to the parties. If you decide to do something stupid, perhaps talk trash behind our backs or attempt to slander the sorority or anyone within... Well, you'll find that life will become quite difficult for you after. You'll find that you have new dormitory arrangements, the information is with your things. Payment has been handled for this semester because I'm really that nice. Now, shoo.”

She spoke in gentle tones, her trademark attitude when addressing "problem girls". She found that it was often more effective than using bitch tones or yelling. She and nearly everyone watched as Natalie sputtered for words to protest but inevitably came up blank and stormed up to her room to gather her things. Everyone watched then as her gaze fell to Grace. She withheld a smirk and instead retained a commanding air. “Grace Drexler. We've been planning this for quite some time now and for over twenty-four hours we were up preparing. We cooked, we cleaned, we primped, and we rehearsed. However, I don't recall you being here through any of that. Oh... Because you weren't. Not only did you miss our preparations, you also missed setting up. To top it all off, you found it acceptable to show up five hours late and act as though you'd done nothing wrong. Not even an apology. That was really quite rude. Extremely rude, actually.”

She paused, mostly for dramatic effect, small part to gather herself and keep herself from letting anger seep in and make her do something stupid. “This is not the first time you've acted in a way that is unbecoming of an Alpha. You're a Junior so you should know better. Instead, you flaunt your family's money and the sorority's name as though they are "get out of jail free" cards for inexcusable behavior. Long story short: You act like a bitch who can't be touched. But the fact of the matter is, everyone suffers consequences in life. Your little buddy Zoey might apologize for your silly behavior, but that shit shan't happen here. Don't worry -- I won't give you the boot. Not yet. I'll give you the chance to prove yourself. However, there will be punishment.” Her gaze flickered to Delilah for a moment and she couldn't stop her perfectly glossed lips from curling into a smirk.

“Being a Big is more than simply having a younger member to adore you. Nor is it the recruitment of minions who will cover for your ass when you step out of line, nor are Littles pets. A Little is a sister. She is someone to set an example for and help throughout her years with this family and a Little should look to their Big the most. Many of you Bigs, as I, can agree that it's a very special bond that is formed -- Bigs have quite an influence over Littles. A Big is a mentor, an advisor, a hand to hold when shit gets tough. Bigs are the ones that Littles turn to before anyone else. A Big is a role model and should be a shining example of what their chapter represents. Unfortunately, you're not a role model. At least... Not a good one. In fact, you're a terrible role model and I really don't want you tainting Delilah. Or anyone else for that matter.” It was clear where this conversation and she soon lifted her chin, her tone dropping from gentle to stern and cold. “As of this moment... Your privileges of being a Big are revoked until further notice. You're barely fit to be an Alpha, much less a Big. Delilah will join Karmilla as my Little now while you reevaluate your deplorable behavior.”

Karma shook her head at Naomi when asked if she wanted some food. Don't be mistaken, Karma was not one of those models who constantly dieted and watched every little thing they ate. She just didn't feel like taking the time out to eat and she really wanted to go to the beach as soon as she possibly could. She would have preferred to change though. She wasn't the type of girl who just tanned at the beach she liked to run into the waved and splash around. Even as a child, her mom seemed to constantly be chasing Karma around the set. the beach shoots were the worse because she would go barreling into the water. Finally her mom gave up and hired someone to teach Karma how to swim.

She enjoyed the festivities a bit longer before Naomi announced that everyone should go get changed and meet back up at the Zeta house if they wanted a ride to the beach. After Kyle walked her back home she rushed into her dorm. Her roommate had already left but she noted that one of the other roommates, Karma thought she remembered their dorm advisor saying she went by Dori, had unpacked. The girl wasn't back yet though so she went to get dressed. Since they opted for the two connected dorm rooms, the girls shared their own private bathrooms. Which was a definite blessing. After a quick shower, she brushed her teeth and began the search for another outfit.

She finally settled on a casual yet sexy outfit. She slipped on a one piece halter bathing suit. It had a deep plunging neckline but Karma's moderate chest made it chic instead of gaudy. The bottom of the swimsuit was cut in a cheeky style so it showed off a bit of cheek and she would get a less awkward tan line. Karma always had a thing for one pieces, she felt that they were often underestimated. She slid on some high waisted destroyed denim shorts on top of it. Once she added some cute jewelry that she didn't mind getting wet and some gladiator sandals she was all set. She packed all her necessities and a towel in a beach tote bag. Her hair, which she wore in a half updo since she knew that it would get curly quickly, was tied with a bright red ribbon. She wore nothing but waterproof mascara and cherry flavored chapstick on her face.

As she headed out the door she grabbed a hoodie as a last minute thought. She didn't plan on wearing it for long but she figured she should at least wear it to the Zeta house. As she opened the door she saw girl standing there. She gasped, she had totally forgot about the other roommate.
" You must be Dori?" She asked cocking her head to the side letting the girl in. " I'm Karma" She gave the girl a quick hug and another warm smile. She glanced at her phone and bit her lip a bit. "Shoot if I don't hurry I might miss out on a ride. "

She walked with the girl into what she presumed was Dori's room. " I don't know if you met her yet but Zoey, the Zeta president was supposed to give me a ride to the beach. You should come. I can wait for you to get dressed. " She said while slipping the hoodie over her blonde head. It almost got stuck on her red ribbon and she grumbled a bit as she re-tied it. "I'm not sure where Jessica is or your other roommate. I'm so glad we're in a four person suite. It's a co-ed dorm and I was not trying to use the public restrooms. "

While the top portion of Naomi's body was kept in the vehicle, the rest of her leggy form was on full display, her long legs hanging out the driver's side door comfortably. It was when her phone buzzed that she pulled herself completely in the vehicle. crawling to an upright position to fully type out a response to Amelia.

To: Amy
Idk about both, we'll see

It wasn't that she was trying to exclude either Kellin or Kyle. Once Amelia, Bennet, and Karma arrived, she would have only one seat left unless someone wanted to sit in her trunk. Granted, it was spacious enough, at least for a female body and Naomi herself used to love sitting back there when she was in someone else's car because she could take a nap. However, unless someone wanted that or opted to lap up, there was no way all of them were fitting in the car unless everyone wanted to be squeezed in. She didn't have to wait long for her fellow Zeta because Amy was soon walking over and in retaliation to the girl's stuck out tongue, Naomi made a goofy face, which consisted of her tongue sticking out on the side and her eyes going to the sides. "Hello, my love." She said and smiled at Amy's sign of affection. At the compliment, Naomi swiped at the curly strands she left from the updo dramatically while exclaiming, "I try!"

Naomi giggled a beat afterwards as Amelia climbed into the passenger seat and pulled her own legs upwards, her lithe form allowing for her feet to rest on the seat and tucked firmly towards her plopped bum. Considering the fact that she wasn't known for sitting in certain positions for too long, her actions and show of her flexibility weren't uncommon. She peered down at her phone and answered Amelia distractedly, "Um, go ahead. These people need to hurry up. There's a wave calling my name." The last part was directed more to herself, or to the folks she was waiting for and as she swiped over the screen of her phone with her thumb, Naomi also reached over to the cup holder for her smoothie to sip on it. Luckily, it didn't take long for Bennet to text her just a few seconds before Kellin appeared. Smiling back at the blue-haired beauty, Naomi sent out several messages.

To: Karma
Hurry! Ur seat might get taken ;p

To: Bennet
Then u better hurry up

To: Zoey
Got a full car. Ride with Tori and the others, or Miles and Sam. Srry, love.

To: Daniele, Giselle, Poppy, Miles, Sam, Thatcher

Not long after talking to Marcus, Poppy returned to the Theta table to get a fit of who she really thought would be a good fit for Theta Chi. Before she knew it, they were out of everything; snacks, drinks, their papers. They were gone and Poppy couldn't be happier as she and the other Thetas start packing everything up as the fair started to whined down to a close. Poppy kept looking up towards Giselle who was just smirking at her. Poppy's eyes went left to rig ht before landing back on her best friend. "...What?" Giselle just shook her head as the taller girl grabbed the empty baskets, handing them to a junior, named Min-La or Minnie as she liked being called ever since joining Theta. "No, really Ellie. You never miss an opportunity to mess with someone, so what is it?"

Minnie kept close to the pair as she listened in and handed the baskets to a sophomore, named Anya who just hurried away to get them into he house. Giselle snapped towards Poppy and pointed to the now completely empty cooler. Poppy rolled her eyes as she grabbed one end and Giselle grabbed the others. "Okay darlins', just grab the posters and we're good to go. Now, I'm goin' to the beach before the jamboree, if ya'll wanna go just let me know. We can go in my truck." Poppy told the few remaining girls like Paige and Kellin and Minnie who were grabbing the last of their things. Ellie cleared her throat as she got her best friend's attention again. "Minnie said she saw you and your 'Candy Andy' holding hands when you walked away.... What's that about?" Poppy just sighed before looking at her friend. "You and Arty are one of the same. It meant nothing. Absolutely nothing, we just held hands so we wouldn't get lost in the crowd." Poppy said as she looked Ellie straight in these eyes so Giselle knew she wasn't lying. Giselle huffed as she rolled her eyes and let go of the cooler in order to open the door to the Theta Pi house. "Geez, thanks Elle." Ellie gave her a fake smile before hurrying up stairs to get ready for the beach. Poppy just smirked before shaking her head and heading to the backyard to leave the cooler there to dry out. She made her way back into the house as she smiled towards her sisters. "Alright, darlin'. If ya'll wanna go to the beach, we'll be leaving in thirty minutes." She told the group with a smile before scurrying up the stairs to get ready. She made her way to her and Giselle's room. She walked in not even thinking about the fact that Ellie was changing.

Poppy looked over at Ellie, who was looking through her thousands of swimsuits (probably gifts from her parents) to see which one drew her eye for the day. The Southern belle sighed before going over to her best friend and wrapping her arms around her. "You're not really mad at me, right? I mean, you know that I like him but, I can't force it to happen." Giselle turned towards her friend who had a raised eyebrow towards the French woman. "Yes, you can! Just say 'Hey, I love you. Now have my Southern babies--.."

"Oh, yea because I’m just that upfront. Besides, I think Andy might like an Alpha and as his best friend, I'm suppose to be there for him. And not get in the way of what he wants." Giselle stiffened a chuckle as Poppy stated how she thought Andrew liked an Alpha. That was a joke. Andrew was kind and smart, a guy who doesn't give damn about money and where people came from. Which was all the Alphas cared about. Besides, Ellie saw the way Andy looked at Poppy and the way they both blushed when she embarrassed them. But, if Poppy wanted to deny it then, so be it. It would happen soon enough, all Giselle could do is mess with the couple. Oh, sorry the 'pair'. ”Seriously, Ellie! It’s not funny.” Giselle just shook her head as she smiled apologetically at her friend. ”I’m not laughing at you Pops, but, just the idea of Andrew ever being with an Alpha makes me laugh. Besides, he likes more of the Savannah sunshine type girl." Poppy just groaned as she turned her back to her friend and walked to the other side of the room to her closet. "Oh, please. Moving on, next subject." Gigi groaned before sighing sharply. "Fine. What swimsuit are you wearing?"

"I was thinking my white one-piece--.."

"No! No one piece for you, besides didn't you tell before that you got a cute bikini in Manhattan." Giselle asked as she tossed her tight black one piece on her bed followed by a pair of shorts. Poppy shrugged before looking for the swimsuit Ellie was talking about. "I bought that for you. You know two pieces an't my thing. I'm so tall that they make me look lanky." Gigi rolled her eyes before walking over to her friend closet and tossing the swimsuit towards her friend. "You're not lanky and you're wearing it." Before Poppy could say anything Giselle started talking again. "I don't want to hear it. Didn't you say that you wanted the break out of your shell?" She raised an eyebrow just for Poppy to sigh and turn back towards her closet to grab out her Vineyard Vines shirt and a pair of running shorts. Since Poppy was planning to go in the water, unlike Giselle, she didn't bother spending a lot of time on her outfit or makeup. All she did was put her straight hair up in a high ponytail before getting dressed in her beach outfit with Giselle. When the pair were do, Poppy just looked at her best friend before sighing and grabbing her beach bag which was already filled with her stuff. Gigi could see the frown on Pop's face before she turned away so, the French woman walked over to her friend and slung an arm over her toned shoulder. "What's wrong now, Sunny?"

Poppy just shook her head as she looked up at Ellie. "Nothing, I just realized that I'm a much bigger DUFF than I thought." Poppy had said it like she was joking but, Gigi knew her better than that. Ever since they met, Poppy had this crazy idea that she was that 'ugly friend' that guys used to get to her. In Giselle's eyes there were both tens, the only thing that put Poppy over the top was her down to Earth personality and good girl persona that guys went crazy over. Giselle smacked the back of Poppy's head as the pair walked down the stairs of their house and into the front foyer. "Never say that again, you hear me? You are a complete babe and I can't wait to see Mr. Drexler's face when he sees you in this little number!" She exclaimed as she pulled up Poppy's shirt before having her hand swatted away by the Southern Bell who's face was redder than ever! And Giselle had to admit, she thought it was adorable. "Stop it, Ellie. I already don't feel like this is a good idea. What if people laugh at me or think I'm changing just to fit in?" Giselle just rolled her eyes. "No one's going to think that, my dear. Trust me. Now if you don't mind," She turned towards the rest of the house and whistled. "Five minutes left, ladies! If you need a ride I suggest you hurry up because madam president and I are leaving in exactly five minutes and there's only so much room in her Chevy 'Poppymobile'."

Poppy pulled her keys out with a peach keychain and pout as she opened the door. "It's a Ford, by the way." Giselle flipped the bird to her best friend as Poppy said it with a smirk before walking out the door and across the street to her baby, the love of her life; her teal 1966 Ford F100. She's had this car since she was sixteen and it was probably the one thing she would die without. Giselle, during the time Poppy had started her car, fixed the cushion in the back of her truck, and let her music blast, was busy looking at herself in the mirror as she fixed her hair and blew a kiss to herself. Theta or not, she still loved herself a bit too much.
