Ben Trent's Story

Ben looked down the stairwell at the growing mass of people. They made enough noise that he hardly needed his eyes to make that assumption. He grimaced and turned his music up higher. They all seemed to be very excited though he could hardly imagine why. It was a mansion but there was little appeal to it after that. Perhaps seeing it day after day had caused it to lose it's luster for him. He turned around and looked up to his room. Perhaps it wasn't too late to head back he thought before seeing his dad walk out of it. He locked the door behind himself and glared at Ben to get a move on.

Ben rolled his eyes and proceeded the rest of the way down the steps. Once down he removed his headphones from his ears but made sure his ears stayed tucked under his hood. He uttered a short burst of clicks and then maneuvered through the crowd to what seemed like the most isolated corner. It was still pretty crowded but he ignored them. He returned his headphones to his ear and tried his best to lose himself in it.
