CHICK CLEATON -Urban Legends-
Hawkeye's Theme - Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Specie: Human
Physical Description: A rounded man with auburn hair (gray highlights at the sideburns) and 5-o-clock shadow. He wears a cobalt T-shirt under an olive/brown leather coat, as well as brown slacks, cobalt boots, and a standard-issue police belt.
Personality: A modest, eager helper and investigator. He may not be the best, but that never gets him down. As long as there's something he can do, he'll do it. He's a long-time friend of Jagger's father, and he was even Jagger's babysitter when he was younger. In turn, they worked closely when Jagger first joined the BPD.
History: This Irish-Blitzian fellow is a detective working with the Blitzerph Police Department. Despite a sub-par entrance exam score, he made it through many cases by the skin of his teeth, gradually proving his worth to the department. Some believe it's an uncanny form of luck, but he denies that.
Equipment: He carries a standard-issue taser, which projects a line of stunning electric shock. He also has a remote to call over his motorcycle, which he calls "Mike". There's also a collapsible Thunderhead bazooka, which he only uses for emergencies (because of its cataclysmic force). Oh, and he has a pocket full of bubble gum packs.
Abilities: None, besides standard police training in close-combat. He did take up courses in Defense Art Q, which hones the arms to parry virtually any attack. It takes precise timing to pull off, but it's proven effective.
Other: N/A
Specific Moves
- Winding Punch: Builds momentum by swinging his fist, then lunges it forth.
- Chick Break: A hard uppercut, reinforced by his dusty coat sleeve.
- Banana Split: Somehow slips on a banana peel, resulting in a stumbling kick and a quick drop to the ground.
- Bubblegum Blitz: Blows a bubble until big enough, then spits the bubble forth. A surprisingly useful bursting weapon.
- Stun-Gun Skull: Rears head back, then slams it forth with enough force to induce dizziness.
- Long Dodge: Performs a further-than-usual dodge roll.
- Standard Taser: Lashes his taser's line forth. Inflicts heavy stun.
- Taser Wire: Lashes the taser upward. Can stun an airborne foe into falling to the ground.
- Gumball: A rolling attack easily mistaken for a dodge roll. Can chain to Spit it Out (a lunging drop-kick), Gnasher (a leaping high flip kick), or Scraper (a sliding low kick).
- Parry: With precise timing, can fend off an attack with his coat sleeve.
- Impact Parry: This Parry has a slightly wider window of success, but is best for striking projectiles back.
- Strike Parry: This Parry has a tighter window of success, but if it works, he can inflict a strike that disorients the foe on direct contact.
- Turbo Parry: A Trance-based Parry with the widest window. It carries special effects of both Impact Parry and Strike Parry, but requires a certain kind of focus to pull off.
- Buster Cleaton: (Style Lore) A rushing drop-kick that takes him across the arena.
- Overhead Gumshoe: (Style Lore) Leaps up high and plummets down with a crushing double-foot stomp.
- Exciting Escapade: (Style Lore) Calls in his motorcycle Mike. If it hits the foe, he'll ride Mike into him/her several more times, finished with a wheelie slam.
- Compact Thunderhead: (Legend Lore) Whips out the Thunderhead, which launches a large, powerful plasma ball forth.
- Sucker Punch: (Final Lore) Chained from any version of Parry, Chick delivers an extra-powerful feint strike to the foe.

Trivia
- In the cast of Urban Legends, Chick follows the "Badass Normal" trope, in that he has no supernatural abilities, but can still keep up with the competition with ease.
- If you listen closely to his full name, Chick Cleaton, you can hear the word "chicle", a prime ingredient of chewing gum. Also, "Cleaton" can refer to the cleats on one's shoes. All in all, his name essentially labels him as a "gumshoe".
- Parrying is a technique used in Street Fighter 3. The other two variations get their names from the later two versions of the game - 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike.
- The move Buster Cleaton is named for both the Buster Wolf move used by Terry Bogard of the SNK fighting games and a play on the name of Buster Keaton, a famous early 20th-century comedy actor.
- Exciting Escapade loosely gets its name from Excitebike, a motorcycle racing game from the NES age.
