Grimm's Story

An old fat man is living in the dumps where he reads an old storybook that he frowns upon. All he sees in the book are puppies, candies, princesses, enchantment, and worst of all, happy endings.

"Blech... there's too much light..." The old man Grimm throws the book away, "I'VE SEEN ENOUGH HAPPY ENDINGS FOR ONE DAY!!! Every story is the same thing; happiness, light, adorableness, and such nonsense that are meant for children. Those bastards can't even use common sense for the stories, and yet they want to make the characters look dumber than having to use their brains for entertainment. They make me sick..."

With unfortunate events for Triple Six to find a new home, they have no choice but to reside at the village called Rusty Slums. Azazel, Ramiel, and Marchosias might are well deal with it. A decent shelter with decent food should at least be tolerable. As for their careers, they haven't started it yet. They need a manager to help them.

"This sucks already." March grumbled, "Looks like this whole escape plan thing ended bitter than I thought. Now what do we do, Az? Die here and before we touch a guitar string?"

"No way! And I rather not go back there. You guys should know that back in Hellborne, they just keep assigning us to do boring stuff. This isn't what fueled us... It drains our very souls."

"Whatever."

"Hey, lighten up! At least we are free, right?" Ramiel smiled.

"Better than back at that old manor."

"Well, what are we supposed to here?" Ramiel checked an empty old metal house, "This house looks... bad."

"It looks decent.. At least we don't have to worry about the unsuspected roommates." Azazel and his friends now owns the old house, "This house is ours for now."

"Okay-- that's fine. But we need to practice before we can find the manager to help us achieve our goal." March reminded Az about it, "You know anyone who is smart enough to cover all this?"

"We'll find somebody... Just you wait."

Antasma flies Ales into the village, and lands in the middle of it.

"Vat a putrid place!" he remarks, looking around. "I love it!"

"And I can smell his stench from anywhere..." Ales smelled the filthy man's odor, "Ah... That must be him right now."

"I don't think anyvone could not smell that..." says Antasma, sniffing the air. "Let us follow the stench's trail to its end!"

Antasma heads in Grimm's direction, following his dire smell.

As the Dark Teensy and the maniacal Bat King follow the trail, they find Grimm, who is currently glaring at the storybook. He's angry and disappointed at the happy endings he find.

"Ah, I see you hate stories in general..." Ales commented on Grimm's melancholy, "If it makes you feel any better, may we suggest something more... fun?"

"Oh, I know that voice! Well, if it isn't the little magician." Grimm greeted with by shaking his hands with his filthy own, "It's been too long..."

"Gah.. I'm sure it is..." Although Ales is happy to see Grimm, he expects Grimm to be cleaner... at least. "Grimm, I have a propitiation for you."

"Make it quick... I got plans to alter this little story." Grimm holds up a storybook, "I wish to turn this miserable story about the three little pigs into a darker toned version of itself. The wolf will get his ending soon."

"Ve vish for you to help us in finding six gems of incredible power!" explains Antasma. "Power enough to smash all good dreams!"

"Good dreams? I see... I heard that there are a lot of good dreams that involve frolicking in the sunflower fields, eating an ice cream mountain without risking type 2 diabetes, and be able to marry as much a person desires--- BLECH!!! HOW DISGRACEFUL!!! How morbid can you get when there are so many good dreams waiting in the subconscious world? I loathe them..."

"So... you agreed to help us then?" asked Ales.

"As it much as it pains me to say this... but no... Unless you have something to convince me." Grimm demands something in return. Ales thought of something better for him. Not only he can help Ales find the gem, but he will do the pleasure by darkening the scenery. "If you don't have anything, then piss off! I don't want to waste my time with a mere magician and a bat lord!"

"Hmm...." Ales picks out a large sack of gold coins and gives it to Grimm, "Maybe this will convince you."

Grimm picks one gold coin from the sack and scratches his chin... But the offering is insufficient.

"Is that all?"

"And I like to give you an opportunity to turn Dream Valley into Nightmare Valley. It's that one continent that happiness matters... unless you change the rules that is."

"DREAM VALLEY?!!" Grimm grinned, "If there is one continent I hate more than Haven is Dream Valley itself. It is infested with ponies, cute creatures, and never ending light! Ales, consider this offering a deal. A good place to start searching for your six gems of power is to visit Dream Valley..."

"You shall not regret this deal, Grim!" laughs Antasma. "Now if a piece is in Dream Valley, then to Dream Valley ve shall go! Follow us, Grim!"

Antasma turns back into his bat form, picks up Ales, and flies off towards Dream Valley.

"Dream Valley is always clean and beautiful, but not for long! Time to give this valley a dark makeover! Muwah hah hah HAH HAH HAH!!"

Grimm follows the Ales and Antasma to Dream Valley. What foul actions can Grimm do to a beautiful continent like that?

Kirby returned back home with the space pink gem in his hands. Maybe King Dedede will learn his lesson. He shouldn't take what doesn't belong to him. If he would've done that again, Kirby would've eaten him alive. The grumpy pink puff is on his way back home. But... something doesn't seem right. Why are the flowers wilting away? Why did the river turn red? Kirby seems uneasy about his surroundings. Somebody must've done this.

Meanwhile, an old man named Grimm is leaving his foul essence behind. He is responsible for pollution. But why did he come here to make everything dirty and morbid?

"Dream Valley is worse than I thought! There's too much happiness and cleanliness! Oooh, how I loathe everything about it... Well I shouldn't complain anymore! If you want something to happen, you gotta do it yourself. How about we make the Meadowlands a bit more... disgusting."

Grimm begins his rampage. He started small by wilting the flowers until they die. Nature is starting to lose his green essence thanks to Grimm's corruption with darkness. As he continues to run rampant, the rivers now begin to turn red, and the sky begins to lose its blue color. Then the animals he counters transform from their cuddly critter appearances into rabid, violent beasts.

"YES!! That's the stuff!! More darkness! More fear! More blood! This macabre movement is the best way to begin with!"

Which brings back to the point where Kirby finds Grimm in the distance and turning everything into a horrifying mess. Kirby panicked and ran away.

"Poyo!!!" He screamed while running away with the pink gem in his hand. But the light essence from Kirby seems to clean the corruption away. Grimm doesn't take kindly to cleaners.

"Only one?! Let's make it three against one! I hardly call it a fair challenge, but screw the rules! I got the dirt!" Grimm starts pursuing Kirby in an attempt to corrupt the puff ball.

Observing this calamity is a lone statue out in the middle of the plains. This statue resembles an odd humanoid creature, a ninja with a tanuki-like tail. The trail of corruption passed by this statue, and was creeping ever closer to the statue, which was at that time starting to twitch. It seemed as if the corrupted essence was going to swallow the statue, but...

FSHOO!!

The statue burst apart in a vivid green flash, pushing back the dark essence. In the statue's place was the strange humanoid...ninja thing. His green eyes shone out from underneath his hood, beholding the calamity that's polluting Meadowlands.

Antasma flies up to Grimm and Kirby, carrying Ales.

"That gem... it is vone of those ve seek!" exclaims Antasma, looking over at Kirby.

"And somebody found it first! Chase him down!" Ales commanded.

Grimm continues to chase Kirby down with more corruption spreading from his behind. A swift butt stomp will stun Kirby until he can attack him. So Grimm jumps up and slams the ground with his butt. But Kirby jumped over his dark shockwave in time and held his breath to fly up.

"Persistent, aren't you?" Grimm glared, "Give me the pink gem!"

"Poyo!" Kirby angrily replied, then drops himself down.

"Fine! I'll have to deal with you the hard way!" Grimm corrupted the nearby flowers and transformed them into venus fly traps. They try to grab Kirby with their vines and squeeze him.

"Kaze no Odori!!"

A strange mid-sized tornado erupted near Ales, Antasma, and Grimm, meaning to draw them away from Kirby.

"YOOOUUU SSSUUUUUUCCCCKKK!!!" Grimm screamed.

"CURSES! Whoever did that must be destroyed!" Ales will not tolerate anyone who stands in his way, "I swear it!!!"

Kirby watched the bad guys taken away by a twister. Kirby wonders who did it. He should be thankful that somebody saved his pink butt. But the corruption is still there. What can Kirby do to clean everything up?

Antasma also delivers numerous curses as he is blown away.

The source of the tornado rises up through it, striking the three bad guys to the ground. It was the strange tanuki-tailed ninja, flashing two bladed fans in his hands. He held one fan upward, and the other horizontally across his chest.

"Things are better...in their natural state..."

Far away from Kirby and a guardian, Ales, Antasma, and Grimm fall down to the ground and face planted in pain. Grimm apparently cause everything around him to become corrupted. He can corrupt some more.

"Unbelievable!!" Ales got off the ground, "Fine... You want do this the hard way, well you got it!" Within his power, Ales summons monsters coming from the ground. Treants and golems are heading for Kirby's and the stranger's direction. "Go fourth and destroy them! Bring back the pink gem!"

The ninja cast a glow from his eyes, using Nento Undo to seize a golem with psychokinesis. He then used the golem as a floating club, smacking the other golems and treants with it.

Kirby inhales the golem's giblets and devours them whole. Upon swallowing the giblets, Kirby manages to obtain the Stone Copy Ability. As a result, Kirby transforms into Stone Kirby. Stone Kirby morphs into a giant boulder and revs himself up. He charge towards the attacking treants and golems and ends up flattening them like pancakes.

"So, the pink puff's got a stone ability. Big deal!" Ales reanimates the treants and golems and commands them to attack, "Kill him and take the gem!!"

The treants slam their fists to the ground and spawn their thorny roots above Goemon and Stone Kirby.

"Let's make them.... disgusting!" Grimm jumps above the ground and buttstomps the ground, corrupting more nature around him, and making the thorns more sharp and poisonous. Stone Kirby is unaffected by the poison, but reverts back to his regular form. But he is trapped by the thorns around him.
