The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
Yumi scrambled to get up as she rushed towards the door. She quickly grabbed her wallet and keys before kicking her slippers off and sliding her shoes on. She quickly rushed out, locked her door and ran towards the elevator.Oh no! I still need to get milk!
Kodaka walked out of his apartment and headed for the school, his backpack slung over his back. He wasn't scared to walk the streets alone, he wasn't weak after all. He didn't have a gun, but he wouldn't need it for a simple trip to school. He reached the school a few minutes early and went through classes quickly. The only class worth mentioning was one where he was to do a group assignment. He loathed group assignments, mostly due to the fact that he could barely talk to others and his tendency to revert to sland under pressure. Group assignments made him look stupid, which he in fact was not.
Anyway, he was paired up with some kid named Yumi Nakamura, someone he didn't know. At least the group assignment was a one on one, he could mostly handle those, it was groups of people that he couldn't handle. He just hoped he hadn't intimidated her before he even got the chance to talk about the assignment, but he had more pressing matters; as in the kidnapping he'd have to do.
The subject was still on his mind after he left school, particularly due to the fact that he'd probably be kidnapping someone important. He was treading on hard waters, and he could drown if he didn't do this correctly. He hadn't asked for a name when he was given the task, names would get him attatched and he wouldn't have the resolve to carry through with the kidnapping. He did however, ask for an address, seeing as it would be hard to do a kidnapping without an address. It took him a bit of time to get the tools he'd need: a gun, a mask, a hood, a potato bag, and a knife. He only brought the knife and gun as a precaution, he didn't actually expect to need them, but you could never be too cautious.
He waited outside the target's house until nightfall, when it would be easiest to perform a kidnapping. He wouldn't do the act at the target's house, that would be too easy to trace. Instead, he followed what appeared to be a female figure to a store, then back down the street. He didn't go into the store for the obvious reason of surveillance, the gang leader wouldn't go to the police, but people would begin asking questions if a person randomly disappeared. His mind snapped back to attention when it was obvious that the figure began picking up pace. He had been compromised. "Damn it," He had been hoping to deal with this clean and quickly.
He followed the girl into an alleyway, noting the fact that the girl probably intended to fight back. He had barely dodged an attack that instead hit a brick wall. He would have most likely been knocked out had he not dodged it.
He brought his knife and ran towards the girl, pointing the hilt towards the girl. This was intentional, for he intended to hit the girl's forehead. He didn't intend to spill any more blood than was necessary.
The hilt of the knife met the girl's forehead and she was knocked out cold. Hopefully the hit wouldn't leave a bruise. {Should've used Chloroform.} This thought ran through his head as he calmly carried the girl in his hands. He really should have brought a car, then again, liscense plate numbers would get him into trouble.
He stopped wasting his time and quickly ran towards a warehouse, the place where he had decided alongside Vino to store the target. He'd have to keep watch of course, but he didn't mind. This whole mess would be over soon and he'd get to working with his partner at school.
He eventually reached the warehouse and locked all the entrances and exits, then went to the part of the warehouse where the girl would be put. The room was quite simple; it had two chairs facing each other, one door, and a pile of chains with complex locks. He had designed the locks and the chains himself, which to be blunt, were quite ingenious. He sat the girl down in the chair facing the wall with a door, tied her up, and sat down in the chair opposite of her. He had a gun with him and he'd have to shoot if she resisted.
He hoped she'd play along and not force him to do something he didn't want to. He didn't enjoy torturing others or playing with them, he just wanted the whole mess to be over. Ah right, the girl, he'd forgotten to take of the potato bag. He took it off and pulled down her hood, revealing who she was. "..." Just his luck. He'd kidnapped his team member, a person who'd actually didn't seem intimidated.
Yumi remembered right after that what usually happened when she asked questions, so she just held onto her breathe before finally looking her kidnapper.S-So, um, what is it this time?
Yumi wanted to feel relieved, but it wasn't really working. There was definitely something up, but she just didn't want to believe that this boy was in the enemy gang. They were practically her father's worst enemy gang! Yumi sighed. What? What is this! Why did you kidnap me! I thought I was in serious danger, geez. You practically gave me a heart attack, Kodaka.
Yumi smiled sadly up at her so called "partner".I guess I'm starting to become more aware of this gang business... I may be oblivious to a lot of things, but you're definitely not on my team.
Yumi pouting was the thing that strangely brought him to his senses. It seemed as if she was trying to convince herself that this wasn't happening, but it was. Kodaka didn't respond to her question once again, his features appearing solemn. It just had to be her, it couldn't have been anyone else. Heck, he would have taken the rival gang leader on rather than have to face one of his classmates.
"Lucky me," He mumbled this to himself after she finished speaking. He had a tendency of talking to himself, one that was shown when he was under duress. Kodaka couldn't decide what to do. Should he go against the gang and set her free or should he simply go as planned? Decisions, decisions, decisions. Oh, how he hated decisions.
What made it even worse was the fact that she seemed to be smiling. Why would she smile? Did she know something he didn't? "Y-y-yumi..." It took him a moment to wipe away the look of a confused child and put up the emotional wall he had around him. "Guess you're right, we're on opposite sides." He laughed a bit. "Quite ironic actually, I was planning on leaving the gang after this one last..." He didn't finish that sentence. It wouldn't do him any good. He wasn't leaving anytime soon regardless of what he did. He'd have to end up making vital decisions, something that he was terrible at, or die a painful death.
There were no visible torture tools in the room, they were all in a different room. The room itself was neat and clean, meticulously cleaned. Not a single strand of hair was on the floor. That's because this room had been prepared by Kodaka himself. Had someone else been doing this job, the room would have been dirty and there would have been weapons scattered around. "..." He wanted to say anything to break the silence, but he couldn't bring himself to decide on what to say. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
