Clover muttered a few curses as he dropped his backpack to sit on the grass. At least I'm not late.., he thought, I don't think I am. He looked around and was happy to see some students. He really hoped the teachers here weren't like his last ones, who gave him detention almost everyday. He looked around again. There was a woman, who he expected to be a teacher. He remembered his brother telling him something about a teacher, but it's not like he can remember much..."Ahh..",he sighed and looked up at the sky. Too sunny, and bright, he thought, then again, don't they mean the same things? "Students gather around. Dark Arts class will start soon. And I would like to notify you on something. This is a year of peril to the magistrate since they have had several threats and coup attempts in the past couple of months. There are even rumors of demons or lichs attending our school. To let you know, I have nothing against demons or lichs because well I am a demon who is too powerful for the magistrate alone but I do not pose a threat since I stay neutral towards the magistrate. If there are any demons amongst us, then dont be shy. I will not tolerate anyone who speaks openly about taking out the magistrate." Kari said. There. But maybe some might not trust her anyways since her eyes are still blue because of a spell and they might think she is only tricking them to find demons or lichs to take out. But there was actually a lie in what she just said. The magistrate didnt know that she is a demon or even a lich and Kari did pose as a threat since she wanted to destroy the magistrate and take control of the nation. Kari herself only stayed kind to easily gain the trust of others and appear as a friendly person.

For those who werent lichs this would be extremely had to do and keep the energy stable. But lichs who had become the darkness themselves could do it with ease. She heard a sound from the woods as if an enemy was approaching and threw the ball towards that direction. As soon as the ball hit the ground it unleash a lot of energy creating a dome of darkness that was big enough to be seen from the school. "Must have been my imagination."
