Ink & Tattoo Manipulation - See that guy smoking on the corner of 5th Avenue? Yeah. You in your chinos your striped Ralph Lauren tie, you think, 'Hey, what's that junkie doin' outta Brooklyn?'. You look at him—inked to the neck; the gaudy facial tat with a backwards 'R' reflecting a lifetime of bad decisions—and you sneer, unable to keep yourself from imagining that canid mug behind bars. He knows you're staring; he does. But you don't notice. Not until the letters on his temple shudder and twist; words that once proclaimed 'ThiS IS AЯT', now a vivid and mocking 'FUCK YOU'.

But that's not all he can do. If he's feeling particularly vindictive, he can peel it off and hurl it at you, letter by letter, you fucking asshole. Quit being so judgmental.

That's his thing. His 'gift', if you will. Drey Ahmadi was born with delicate black stripes curled around his body, and when the infant let out its first piercing wail, they splintered and shot out in spikes, nearly stabbing through the doctor (who later became his adoptive father)'s hand.

He's never had any difficulty controlling the ink under skin growing up, and many a dull afternoon was spent crafting birds and various creatures to flap and trudge and sprint all around him, leaving drippy trails of the blackest black as they go. They're never truly sentient, these creatures of spilled ink. Their movements stem from imagination or snippets pilfered from nature documentaries, so forgive him if his cartoon tigers aren't the most realistic. Their claws are just as sharp as the real thing.

Sometimes, when laziness strikes, he can shoot tendrils of ink from his fingertips and use it to grab shit. Only consequence is that said shit comes back to him stained to oblivion. He can also peel objects from his skin, but like the animals, they don't last very long and leave ink trails everywhere, so he never really bothers with it unless he has to.

It'd be super fun though if his ability could also extend to regular ink, but alas, his abilities are only limited to the ink he produces himself. Sucks as a tattoo artist—he could single-handedly shut down every tattoo parlor in New York if that were the case—but hey, can't have everything, eh?

[ PHYSICAL...DESCRIPTION ]

Tall, dark, and not so much handsome as he is dog-faced—or at least that's what his friends call him. Drey is obviously very, very foreign—olive-skinned, prominent brows, an aquiline nose stolen from his Arab ancestors that takes up 99% of his profile—and let's face it, with the face of a mongrel and a skeletal grin, even his dead mother would be hard-pressed to call him handsome.

However, he does carry a strange, intimidating sort of appeal; one reserved for the glint on the sharp edge of a blade or the savage beauty reflected in the eyes of a predator. It's made apparent in the sharp plane of his jaw, the breadth of his shoulders, and moreso in the depth and definition of six-foot-two and two hundred pounds of hard muscle under heavily tattooed skin.

Nearly every inch of him is covered ink, the design of which varies with every breath. Nothing's ever permanent save for the words on his temple (ThiS IS AЯT—and yes, the backwards R is intentional), but even that sometimes changes into fun little blurbs. Like 'FUCK YOU', for example.
