History:

Only myths and roamers of the Captains life before piracy exist. What has been accepted as the "truist" story of the Captains past is he was born in the Afukira deserts to 2 farmers and 2 older brothers. Sometime around the age of 12 the farm his parents owned was attacked by pirates, and his father was killed. It is assumed that either his mother was captured, or could have escaped the pirates. The 2 of his brothers and him ran into the desert and started a home. His older brothers started there lives in piracy, and it wasn't long before he followed them. Starting as simply a powder-monkey, he moved through his ranks until he and his 2 brothers found themselves in the care of the pirate captain that killed their father.

Against there better judgment, the Thackerays obeyed the captain. But, during a raid on a village, both of Thackerays brothers fell overboard... He watched as they fell to the earth below them to there deaths. Because of this, Thackeray was driven mad and attacked the captain, killing him with his own pistol. He was only 16.

In shock and awe, the crew watched as Thackeray killed there captain... From here, the crew pledged loyalty to him, and obeyed his every command to the letter. And so started the legend of Captain Thackeray III...

For almost 20 years Thackeray ruled over the pirates with no mercy. Those who didnt obey him were killed, and any who didnt fire when told were also killed... But it is said all of that changed when he met a girl, a Charr like himself, during a raid. He took petty on her, and took care of her, unlike the other prisoners he would love to mercilessly beat just for fun. The girl and him soon fell in love... And conceded a child. During the pregnancy, she saw Thackeray change from a brutal tyrant to a kind and understanding gentleman. But this was short lived. Once the baby was born, she pleaded for him to leave his life of piracy and move on... But it was something he wouldn't do. With a heavy heart, she fled from Thackeray, leaving they're daughter Elizabeth with him. Now responsible for a child, the raids started to come to an end, the murders, the killings, the robbery's all reached an all-time low. At the age of 19, Elizabeth and her father fought side by side in there hunt for more booty, and the pirates were on a rise once more.

With the loving, caring, heart of his daughter, Thackeray was unbeatable.

But all good things must come to an end, some say. On day they got a tip from an anonymous villager about a raid that would make every pirate set for a lifetime. Imperial Gold was being shipped from one fort to another, and it was ripe for the taking. With a full scale invasion they flocked after the gold, ripping through the heavily defended caravan to get there prize... But they never got that far. It was a trap.

Before anyone could see, they pirates were outnumbered by the Imperials. Thackeray was smart, and surrendered before more bloodshed. Promising to surrender himself for the safety of his crew and of his daughter, Thackeray walked onto the Imperial Command ship. They didnt keep they're... Qwickly they stormed onto his ship, taking his daughter onto the capital ship. Then fired upon Thackerays ship... Shooting it out of the sky. Helplessly, he watched as his ship and crew died in a fiery explosion. Thinking the worst was over, he was shocked as his daughter was taken below deck... And he was kicked overboard to his death..

To this day, it is unknown how he lived. But now, he fights to find his daughter, no matter the cost, and no matter the price...

So begins...

"Your Lordship, your cavalry is here..." Came a voice over a loud speaker, laud enough for practically everyone nearby to hear. Suddenly the clear blue sky's around the dragon was filled with 100's of black-flagged airships, pirates... But form the horizon came one gigantic beast of a ship... Like a gigantic fish if rose from the sky, her frame being propelled by 6 huge fin-like wings, pushing it forward and an incredible rate.

Again over the loudspeaker came the voice of what was assumed to be the pirates captain; "MEN! Level the field! Leave nothing standing!" With a crack the loudspeaker shut down, but form inside the barrier, over the private coms, came the voice once more.

"Your Lordship, lets hope that barrier isn't held up with electricity, otherwise its going down... Hold on tight" The sky suddenly filled with a concussive explosion form the fire of 100 ships shooting downward at the dragons forces. Again over the com came the voice; "My name is Captain Thackeray III, and i want to make a deal. Were going to kill this dragon, then your going to help me with something... Oh, and you might want to cover your ears...

(Okay, Dice roll for defend is...Damn, 6. 10-6=4. That was for light cannons. Since no roll was presented with the cannon fire from the ship, I shall act on my own accord there.)

Bahamut roared in anger and fury, but also with triumph as well. He had a way to break down the barrier, and with a few more hits, he'd be in. But, before he could summon up more dark energy and blue flames for a follow-up strike, whistling was heard from the flying cannon rounds that erupted from Avory. He managed to duck away from the higher ones, but at the cost of getting hit by lower shots. Four rounds found their mark in varying locations. Two hit different areas of the thicker portion of his tail, one found his left shoulder, while the fourth struck his right flank. They burned through scales and singed skin underneath, but he wasn't bleeding. Bahamut roared, but in anger, not in pain. He was numb to minor pains such as this.

And speaking of pains, a new pain in the hindquarters had shown up rather loudly and brazenly. The dark dragon observed what he assumed to be pirates; beastpeople judging from the sounds from the ship, Afukirian from the style of the ships. It had been a thousand years, and they had gained this technology over that time. The only reason Bahamut knew of it was from sources he had that weren't dead. Still, he laughed as the fleet received the order to fire. The dragon took to the air with a vertical lift-off. The rounds from the guns were bouncing off and barely denting his scales, though the few that hit his wounded areas did sting a bit. With renewed vigor and drive, Bahamut charged through to the nearest group of ships, tearing througb with claws and acid flying. He was going to play with these pirates for a while, then leave. Bahamut realized that in this time and body, he wasn't as strong as he could be. He needed to seek power.

Rixator groaned a bit before beginning to climb. With all the moisture, he wouldn't be able to use his sands effectively, since they would clump up and become useless. So, instead of Mana, he was to use Ki. Still, climbing was an exhilirating experience for him; he was always going forward, back, around, or through, never up or over. He gave a chuckle as he went up. "I wonder what Sensei would make of all this..."

... Come on beasty.... Get those wings going...

An armada of ships fired down at the dragons forces, quite a big hole punched into the minions, when the first pirate casualty came. The airship fell from the sky, her crew still firing even as the ship crashed into the ground. A massive explosion erupted from the crashed ship, even in death the ships killed the dragons forces. While the majority of the ships fired down, as the mighty dragon rose the 3 massive Destroyer ships stood as silent giants.

The Interceptor, the command ship, stood still along side her sister ships. Not firing, not moving, simply standing still. Suddenly, without warning, the cannons opened fire onto the dragon once it got close enough. As the rounds hit the beasts thick scales he found some hit harder than others, and some exploded on the surface, creating a cloud of black smoke around the him. Outside the cloud, the 3 huge K.M.C's charged with blue energy. A massive concussive crack! rang through the air, as though 10 lightning strikes came colliding on the ground all at once.

Time itself seemed to slow down to all that watched as 3 huge chunks of what looked like iron went flying through the air, followed by a trail of blue lightning. As the smoke cleared away, the dragon could see the rounds... Heading straight for him.

Judan looked up though the window and saw the battle happens between the pirates cavalry and the Bahamut. He quickly casted an air elemented spell to speed his movement and ran as fast as he could to reach the highest tower to get a better view. His servants followed him and was manage to be by his side thanks to well training. What the king saw was shocking. Some of the barriers created by the barrier machine was down, effected by pirates cannons, decreasing the protection on the metropolis. The cannons on top of the towers of Avory's metropolis continued to shoot at Bahamut there were more missed shots than successful shots.

"Damn those pirates!" He cursed in anger "find a way to repair those machine!" he ordered his servants while his eyes gazing at the Bahamut, destroying multiple pirates ships in minutes. "Isn't that Gerard here yet!" he shouted in frustration.

Judan watched as some black and blue animal like air machines flew towards the Bahamut, aiding the pirates in battle. Then three cannon fire, different from Avory's was shot.

"Gerard is now within Avory and aiding us, my king" Judan hovering communicators beside him informed "He is currently searching for you in the castle's main hall"

"Send him here" Judan ordered as he watched the cannon's fire flying towards the Bahamut.

"I am not sure, Gerard of Brunoma... I just hope that the Bahamut retreats before the barrier totally collapse" The king said to Gerard while still looking at the battle.

The battleships of Avory's defences are finally ready. The Generals and commanders of Avory dispatched their knight and soldiers who could fight in mid air. Men and women, elves, dwarves, and beastman, all fighting as one. Thousands of airships flown around the Bahamut while keeping it's distance, firing at the godly powerful creature using the battle ship's Gatling guns and cannons.

Rixator checked in with a resounding "Aye" before continuing his climb. Where were they going exactly? The Afukirian gave a heavy sigh as he looked up. One small ledge would not be enough for him to keep his grip, so he swung his hand to reach for a stone inside the waterfall; risky given how slippery it would be. However, when he reached, he felt water, then air. Shocked and caught offguard, his occupied hand slipped. It was the end. He was done. The thoughts crossed his mind before he kept his free hand outstretched, eventually clutching a ledge. Water poured over and on him and threatened to knock him loose to a watery grave, but he drew his serrated blade and dug it into the rock before moving to pull himself up. "Sensei...If only you could see me now..."

Bahamut roared as the three rounds from the ships flew forward, but they were slow and their path traceable with the lightning. While some of it arced down and got a contact as he flew under, he only felt a tingle. His ivory eyes glanced back as the light based rounds of the cannons from Avory fired once again, though they missed, close as they were. A few grazed his scales with a nice run by, but he was overall safe. Once again, before he could conjure an attack, he was interuptted once more; though, this attack was unexpected and very powerful. He had little time to defend himself, and took many direct hits, some making their way to penetrate exposed flesh from the earlier attacks. With a roar of pain, he had to retreat. He underestimated the technology and firepower they had. While they alone could never hope to kill him, the fact that they were able to do something on this great of a defensive was unimaginable. He had to do something voluntarily that he dreaded; he had to get help. And he knew who to go to. For now, he retreated. Bahamut had retreated, but not run away. Running away implies fear, weakness, that you never plan to fight this again. None of those applied.

The dragon, battered and driven back, flew in a west to northwest flight. He was going to Pruwas. He was going to find Venash.

(Defend and flee. Avory has won the fight, but the war has only begun!!)

With a triumphant victory cry the pirates finished off the rest of the dragons minions before slowly descending down to the ground. Once the ships were close enough, Pirates descended from them on ropes from the sides of the ships. Armed with rifles and dressed head to toe in invasion gear they opened fire on the rest of the minions, clearing through them in a matter of minutes.

Over the com came the sound of the captains voice again "Your lordship, this is the Interceptor. Requesting permission to land inside the barrier. We have something to talk about, your highness..."

Almost everyone in the metropolis cheered loudly. Cries of happiness and joy could be heard everywhere. There only damage the Bahamut did was done by the fire the Bahamut spread through the sewers but nothing serious.

On the highest tower, Judan smiled, relieved. He was so happy that he turned to his servants, lifted, and hugged them tightly, screaming "Avory metropolis is saved!". He let go of his servant and turned to Gerard.

"you have aided Avory greatly, Gerard, friend of Avory" He laughed and continued "I shall see that you be rewarded greatly. I shall see that you have a place to stay here in Avory's metropolis. You shall have your own building!" He laughed some more before someone spoke through the King's communicator.

"Your lordship, this is the Interceptor. Requesting permission to land inside the barrier. We have something to talk about, your highness..." Captain Thackeray requested

Judan turned to his floating spherical communicator and spoke "Yes, yes,... For the help you gave to Avory, I shall ask my people to shut down the barriers. Please, land and park you airships in Avory's port. I shall send my Knights to lead you to the castle to meet with me"

After a while, all the barriers were shut down. Every battleship's were landed. The Knights and soldiers were back at the barracks. The barrier machines and cannons were put on stand-by incase the Bahamut decides to come back. The king's knights, Sir Jorick Godfrey, Sir Mika Rockwood, Sir Bessy Lockheart, waited for Captain Thackeray at the ports to escort him.

Slowly the massive ship crawled through the barrier to come into the city. Like a massive beast it came to rest in the largest port the city have, being as it was nearly 200 yards long. With a great sigh she landed on her belly, the crew throwing over tie-lines to the port. The first men to jump over the sides of the ship to secure it were human. But once the ship was tied down, with the help of other port workers, the gangplanks dropped over the sides to lock the port and the ship togeather.

With a roar of cheer and excitement the crew came from the ship, with weapons secure with safety's on. Beast men, the charr of the desert lands. Massive cat-like creatures with horns and sharp claws. The massive black-furred beasts grabbed onto each other, cheering form there victory over the dragon. The knights soon found themselves behind hugged by the charr while they all shouted "WE DID IT!" But, this burst of excitement was short lived.

From the deck of the ship came a loud CRACK! One of a gun being fired. This brought all of the crew, both humans and charr alike, to a halt. Moving back from the ship, surrounding the ship like a shield of flesh, a single pair of footsteps came from the deck. And across the deck came a massive charr, much larger than the others, dressed in black and yellow. A bandana covered his mouth, and thick goggles covering his eyes. Head to toe he was covered in gunpowder, much like the other crew members, and soot from the guns and cannons. Slowly he walked forward to greet the knights that came to him. Rasing his hand up he removed his goggles and brought down the sash covering his mouth to speak.

"MEN. Attennnntion!" He shouted, putting infuses on the "N". Standing up tall, backs straight, eyes front, the crew brought their hands up to meet their brows in a solute, and held it there.

Then he turned to the knights in front of him with a blank and serious face, sighing softly as he held out his hand to shake the knight-commanders. "I am Captain Thackeray, the commander of this vessel and captain of the pirate forces. Now... I assume your here to take me to your king...?"

"Sanavabitch!" An angry voice could be heard from far away at the direction of the area shot.

The knights turned to look at direction of the voice and to the shooter.

"Please sir, no more shooting in the metropolis as it may cause injury or death to other people" One of the knight said before introducing themselves "my name is Jorick Godfrey, on my left is Mika Rockwood, and on my right is Bessy Lockheart" He smiled and bowed slightly "we are your escort to the castle"

They took a large enough royal hovering vehicle as a transportation to the castle and arrived at the castle's main door. From there, the knights escorted Captain Thackeray straight to the throne hall where the king and the queen sits, waiting.

"Welcome! Captain Thackeray!" Judan said loud but friendly while rising from his throne and descended down the stairs.
