r e l a t i o n s h i p x // x Lee being alone in a room with Poseidon results in a shouting match more often than not. To say they don't see eye to eye on a lot of things is an understatement. Compound that with the fact they are both stubborn and confrontational by nature, and it can be a bad combination.
r e p u t a t i o n x // x Lee is known as one of the stricter teachers on campus, but is generally regarded as fair. He's generous with praise when a student does something to earn it, and just as quick with a biting retort when the occasional smart ass gets out of line. He is an intellectual drill Sergent, and no one gets the green light to enter an Agon before passing his rigorous prep exam.
a m b i t i o n s x // x Currently, his professional goals at Legacy center around reform. He's been working at the Academy for nearly eight years now, trying to make the system better, safer for the kids involved. Looking back with a critical eye there were ways, painfully easy ones now looking back, that lives could have been saved. Protocols, safety nets, anything. Lee is determined to prevent another bloodbath like the one he lived through. Any goals he has past that, personal or professional, come second to that.

h a i r x // xLee's hair is a dark tussled brown that always looks windswept or in a perpetual state of bed head. He tries to keep it in some semblance of order, but by the end of the day, it's usually a lost cause.
e y e s x // xLee's eyes are a stomy blue that are a dead ringer for his father's.
o d d i t i e s x // xAlmost everything he owns has a coffee stain somewhere, and if it doesn't it's just a matter of time.
a p p e a r a n c e x // xLee is usally sporting some kind of rumbled semi-professional wear. Given most of his time is spent in the classroom or school archives these days, he blends right in. If any of his students find it amusing to tease him for his "dad pants" well...meh. Lee's never been one to give much prerogative to appearances past clean and matching.

P O W E R S
h y d r o k i n e s i s x // x Lee has limited control over water. If it's humid enough, he can pull it from the air, or plants, and if an available source is nearby, he's known to manipulate it as a diversionary weapon if necessary.
g i l l s x // x When submerged under watch, Lee can breath just as well as any other creature born to the seas.
e n h a n c e d x // x Like most demigods, Lee enjoys a enhanced reflexes and endurance that is beyond the strictly human. His physicality is no where near the level of a child of Zeus or Ares, but he is a competent fighter with a sword in hand.
S T R E N G T H S
s w o r d s m a n x // x Lee’s is quite proficient with a sword, and though his physicality isn't that of child of Ares or Zeus, he isn't without prowess. His daily drilling, coupled with his natural agility, make him a competent opponent.
d e e p - k n o w l e d g e x // x Lee has spent his entire adult life studying Greek mythology, and Olympia's history. Outside of perhaps Jesse Bower, he has the most working knowledge of the gods, their artifacts, and the places of Olympia.
s u s p i c i o u s x // x Lee's a half glass empty kind of guy. For better or worse, it makes him a cautious operator, and he isn't easily taken in or persuaded by manipulation.
W E A K N E S S E S
a l c o h o l x // x Lee's not exactly an alcoholic, but he's flirting. Lee will often rely on it as a crutch to take the edge off when he's feeling overwhelmed, or has an episode.
p t s d x // x You can't spend a month locked in a literal magical death trap, and not have some issues walking out. Lee watched many of his closest friends torn apart inside the labyrinth, a he often wakes up from nightmares convinced he's still there.
c y n i c a l x // x Lee doesn't trust easily, and is skeptical of most new things and people in his life. This can be a strain on relationships, and lead to missed opportunities.
F E A R S
c o n f i n e m e n t x // x Lee hates feeling boxed in. He needs to know there are exits, multiple ones, and he usually positions himself unconsciously so that he can see them. Mazes of any kind are also a hard no go for Lee.
p o s e i d o n x // x On more than one occasion through their rocky history, his father has threatened to take Lee and force him to live in Olympia. Lee knows these are mostly empty threats, but he;s never been able to shake that small part of him that is terrified Poseidon just might make good on them.

On a whole, Lee comes off as being a bit of an intellectual dismissive ass. Usually, he’s too busy with his nose in a book to notice the feathers he’s ruffled, and social niceties have never been his forte. This isn’t helped by the hunk sized chip on his shoulder, and Lee has a bad habit of using sarcasm to mask his feelings. He suffers from PTSD, and while on a level knows it isn’t smart or healthy, turns to alcohol to get through the aftershocks from the worst of his episodes. There is a bitter streak to Lee in these darker moments that he tries to keep from coloring his entire life, but it’s hard to hide when he’s feeling reflective. There aren’t a whole lot of people Lee can call his close friends, and part of that is due to his own intensely private nature. The other however, is that several of the people he once called “friend”, are dead. Because of that, Lee has a tendency to hang on pretty tightly to the ones he still has. .

In his final year at the academy, Lee entered the Agon with several of his friends, mostly to prove he didn’t need his father’s damn help, and rub it in his face. That year ended up being the bloodiest Agon in sixty years, with dozens of students killed, and many more leaving either traumatized or maimed. In essence, half of the senior class was wiped out in a matter of days. His team won, but that victory felt too hollow to celebrate in the wake of so much death. Several of his closest friends were among the casualties, and their loss has left Lee scarred, and more introverted than ever. His PTSD was something he tried to handle on his own for years, which was...ill advised all things considered. The closest thing he’s ever come to real treatment is talking with June. She’d been down there with him. She understood better than any shrink was going to. And it has helped, but there’s still an underlying bitterness in Lee that has him often turning to a bottle to deal with his emotions.
Choosing to work for Legacy Academy after earning his master’s degree wasn’t always a natural decision. Part of him hated the idea of coming back to the place, but nothing was ever going to change on the outside. Working for Legacy gave him more power to make real reforms to the Agon system, and Lee has become pretty dedicated to ensuring every student who walks out of his class knows Greek Mythology inside and out, and most importantly, the best way to kill any monsters they are confronted with. If he has to beat them over the head with a book (literally) to make them get it, so be it. His relationship with Apollo was frankly, a god damn shock. Lee had never exactly been an advocate for the gods, but Apollo (Insisting on being called ”Andy” of all things.) wasn’t anything like he’s expected. He was warm, kind even, with mossy green pools for eyes that radiated nothing but compassion. A few drinks turned into a few kisses, which became a few stolen nights, and a toothbrush, dresser, and guitar that Lee most certainly does not know how to play living in his apartment. Lee isn’t exactly sure how the god managed to worm his way so thoroughly into his life, but he knows on an instinctual level that he;s playing with fire. Romance between gods and mortals, even demigods, doesn’t end happy, and Lee isn;t sure his heart will be able to take it when things inevitably go sour.
