Klarissa Masters
Nickname: Kay. But only by her good friends, everyone else calls her Klarissa.
Age: 18
Binded by contract to: Anthael
Gender: Female

Appearance: (Image

Image

Klarissa stands about 5'5 and has long silver blonde hair. She usually wears tank tops or the latest styles of clothing when she isn't in her schools boring uniform. She has a sweet smile, and light blue eyes with a mischievous spark in them occasionally.

Likes:
  • Music. Natually, she loves to listen to it, but has no aptitude for it herself even though she has had lessons since she was young.
  • Nature. She loves the gardens, parks, and ponds in her neighborhood, though she can't stand the wilderness. There are too many bugs there. What she likes best are the patterns in the flowers, and the elegance of the trees. Manicured and kept to perfection. She also likes animals; birds, dogs, cats, even little blue or green turtles.
  • People. She is a big people person, having come from a scociety that specialized in parties and grand events. She has connections in high places.
  • Going to the beach. The sun, the water, the swim suits, and boys.

Dislikes:
  • Messes. Trash, Littering, dirt, and clutter. Especially in her home and enviroment. Lucky she has people to hire to take care of it.
  • The colors brown, black, and orange. She is not an autumn. Those colors just don't work for her.
  • School. All the Classes, uniforms, homework, and cliques.
  • Routines. The same thing everyday is boring. It needs to be spiced up and entertaining.

Inherited Ability: to be edited later.

Personality:
Klarissa is a girl of many talents. She likes beauty and can at least reflect it in a little bit of drawing. She loves to draw her family's gardens, and different people. She is often hanging out with her girls, her best friends Taylor, Nicole, and Katie. They are almost always together and do everything as a group like going to the mall, beach, and partys, watching boys or just talking. She hates wearing the same uniform to school everyday and as soon as she is home changes into her tank tops, or anything not plaid or khacki. She is also a little mischief maker at times. Doing subtle things like rearranging things when no one is looking, or planning surprises. She like the reactions she gets from her antics. Klarissa is also a bit of a clean freak. She can't stand having anything messy or cluttered, it really gets on her nerves. Curiosity is also a big factor in her life. She can't bear to have anything hidden from her, secrets kept or affairs hidden.

History:

Klarissa is a girl raised on the east side. Her family has money and status among the towns high society. She grew up among parties, personal tutors, big houses, and luxuries. Her parents are often distant and go on lots of trips and vacations, only some of which included Klarissa. Her parents would always make up leaving her with a short family outing or gift, but over the years, she came to rely on her self and friends for companionship. She has had private lessons in everything from french to various musical instruments. The language learning, she did well in, but she could never understand the music lessons. Instead she turned to drawing, which she did do well, and it made up for her lack of musical skill. She and her friends belong to some of the more powerful families in her community, so it was natural that the four of them were friends.

Notes: Basically, Klarissa is a beauty loving rich girl, a smiling girl with no responsibility and her only worries are about keeping things from being totally boring and about wearing uniforms.

So begins...

Klarissa sat in her desk, bored out of her mind, and listening to her teacher give a lecture. It has really gone on too long, If Mrs. Stokes wanted to keep her students attention and not bore them to death, then she should do something to break the monotonous drone that come with the lesson. That was Klarissa's opinion at least. Behind her, she could hear her friend Nicole whisper a suggestion about going shopping after school in ten minutes. She also heard Taylor answering, sure. Klarissa turned in her seat and whispered that she had heard of a new clothing store opening up that she wanted to go check out. She hurried and turned back to face the board before the teacher could notice her not paying attention. All three of them would get detention if they were caught talking, and Klarissa would rather not get stuck in this life sucking pit of bleh they called school for another hour. She just wanted to get out of there.

Five long minutes later, the bell finally rang and the entire class breathed a sigh and began to leave the class. Klarissa and her girls gathered together and began to wallk out to the parking lot. "I saw Johnny today!" Nicole said sighing. "I think he looked at me as he passed me in the hall." Klarissa smiled, Nicole had been crushing on that boy for years now. Taylor looked at her and shook her head in pity, her long black hair swinging. "Girl, you got it so bad." Katie then came running up, backpack in hand, the fourth of the group. "Hey guys. Ugh, glad thats over. Want to come to my house for the pool?" Klarissa and the others declined and told her of the mall trip. "Ooh, even better. Let's go, I have so been wanting to get these pair of shoes I saw window shopping last week."

Off they went. Hours later, the group of four emerged from the mall's front doors, arms filled with bags and parsels from their foray. It was dark, so they all decided to head toward their cars, parked in garage a few blocks away, to go home for the day. Klarissa started lagging behind as they walked, looking through shop windows, as her freinds went on ahead. She suddenly realized that they had turned a corner without her and she couldn't see them anymore. She was about to run to catch up when a loud clash erupted from the alley next to her.

She screamed with surprise, but after a second and hearing nothing else, seeing no one come out of the darkness with a gun or anything, and seeing that no one in the streets had been nearby to hear or notice it, she decided to investigate. Clutching her purse and her bags to her chest in case anyone ran out and tried to nab them, she slowly walked into the alley. After a moment her eyes adjusted to the darkness and she could see a dumpster smashed in like someone had taken a sledgehammer to it and a girl laying next to it, stark naked.

Klarissa gasped with surprise at the figure and made her way over to her, trying not to brush against the filth and trash littering the alleyway. It was a truly disguisting place and it just made her skin crawl to think what could be in those piles of rubbish. She ignored that though, and knelt beside the girl. Seeing that she breathed, Klarissa shook her shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?" She said.

Anthael's eyes flutter open to a blonde girl asking if she was alright. Anthael began to shiver and she sat up, her dark brown curls falling in her eyes and her eyes widen a bit when she realizes her clothes had fallen off.

"Oh dear..." She mutters, and the question finally registered in her head, "Y-yes... I'm fine..." She says, a bit disoriented from the fall. She shakes her head a bit.

"I'm... Sorry, I guess... I'm a bit disoriented..." She says, her eyes fluttering shut, just wanting to sleep for a bit.

Klarissa sat back as the girl tried to sit up and talk. She noticed that he was shivering, which is understandable as it was getting dark and chilly, and that this was a pretty dank and cold alleyway usually. Klarissa was cold just sitting there. "You must be freezing." She said. "I think that I have something in here you could wear." She was referring to her shopping bags that she had set to her side when she saw the girl on the ground. She began to dig around in one of them when the girl's eyes began to flutter close and she began to sway. Klarissa placed an arm around the strange girl to support her as she continued searching through her bag.

From it, she withdrew a new, light blue jacket with a sinch up waist and butterflies stitched into the sleeves. "Here, this should keep you covered a little bit." She said, not sure whether the girl was asleep or not, but felt like talking a little would take of the wierdness of putting clothes on a stark naked stranger in an alley. Or for the girls sake, a stranger putting clothes on her. She managed to put the sleeves on and sip up the jacket when she heard her friends calling her name.

"Klarissa! Where'd you go?" That was Katie's voice. Taylor's voice also chimed in, "I didn't think we left her that far behind. maybe she got sidetracked by a store display."

"I'm in here." She called, seeing her friends silhouettes pass the alley's entrance.

They all stopped and peered in the dark toward her. "Klarissa?" Katie asked. "What are you doing down there?" Taylor visibly shuddered, "Yeah, its dark and dirty down there. Come on out so we can go home already." she said.

"There is a girl over her. I think she's hurt, and she's not wearing anything. I'm going to need help to get her back to my car." She explained. That got the other girls to come into the alley, cautiously as she did, in order to see what was going on.

They gathered around and knelt around the girl, her body leaning up against Klarissa. "Who is she?" Nicole wondered. Klarissa just shook her head. "She was pretty out of it when I found her."

"Is that jacket going to be enough for her?" Katie asked. "It doesn't cover very much of her." It was true, The jacket was only really meant as an accessory, fitting snugly around the waist and not going very high on the neckline.

Taylor thought for a second before remembering that she had just bought a pair of yogapants for a new class she was going to take at the country club they went to all the time. "Here This should cover the rest of her."

Now the question came with how to get the girl to Klarissa's car. "We can't just carry her like a body, it'd look to weird to everybody else." Katie said resolutly. "Just think of what they'd think!" They almost ended up having to do just that when Nicole spotted an old shopping cart farther down the alleyway. They managed to get the mysterious girl into it and push it out to the street. Nicole and Katie ended up carrying Klarissa's shopping bags while she pushed the cart toward the parking garage they were heading toward in the first place.

Ten minutes later, the girls made it to the area they had all parked their cars. Klarissa's shopping bags were put in the trunk of her Panamera Hybrid Porsche, and the strange girl was carefully laid out across the back seat of the car. Before going their separate ways, the four friends hugged and said goodbye. "I want those pants back tomorrow. Got it." Katie said sternly, before breaking into a smile. "Keep us updated on what happens okay?"

Inside her car Klarissa took a deep breath and relaxed against her seat. She turned the ingition and let some warm air blow through the car to warm the cold girl in the back. She turned around to take another good look at her in the light of the garage before turning aound to start on her way home.

Anthael felt a warmth surround her, as faces rippled in and out of her skewed vision. Sounds, words... strange accents floated past her... All female voices. She opens her eyes for a moment, her eyelids heavy and she closes them again. There was no use in struggling. She had taken too much of a fall...

Just rest...a few minutes... That's all I need. She thinks to herself, and a feeling of weightlessness fills her body. Being laid down, she began to feel the tiredness overcome her will power to stay awake and she fell into a deep sleep.

This time, she didn't just dream in white planes...

A shuddering wind arose as scenery began to fill in, like dripping paint. Her old backyard, and she found herself sitting next to her gravestone. Her once beloved, small, yet comforting house in ruins. She stands, her bare feet barely grazing the dark, green grass.

How long had she been gone?

Spirits have no sense of time once they enter the spirit world. They don't understand concepts of years, months, or days...

She turned around, to see two other gravestones next to her own, belonging to her mother, and her father. With a small gasp, she reached out and felt overcome with sadness, memories coming back to her. A silver tear rolls down her cheek and she curls her knees up to her chest, resting her head on her knees. The sun beats down, spirits dance along the wind, the rolling waters crash against the rocks. She closes her eyes and listens to the familiar sounds of home..

Klarissa managed to get home without any problem. Coming up into the driveway, she saw the family butler waiting by the front door. He must have heard her car come up the drive and came out to greet her. He was always reliable in that way, knowing where he is needed or just showing up to help out if neccessary. Klarissa figured that he guessed she had been out shopping and would be needed to help carry in today's bounty. She chuckled to herself at the thought of how he would react to the surprise guest she brought home in the back seat.

She parked her car and got up as Johnson, her bulter, approached and bowed. "Good evening, Miss. I hope your day has been well?"

Klarissa nodded and smiled. "School was boring, as always. But after school at the mall, I found some really cute clothes I can't wait to wear." She opened her trunk and began pulling out bags. "I have some stuff in the backseat if you wouldn't mind getting it please." She watched with amusement as the butler dutifully opened the door and start backward with the shock of the figure laying across the back.

He hurridly composed his face and gave her a questioning glance. "Something you'd like to explain, Miss Masters?" She gave a small laugh, delighted to have shocked the usually unsurprisable old butler.

"I found her on the way to my car. She was passed out and injured. I couldn't leave her there so me and my girlfriends got her into my car to take here. There should be a plenty of room for here in one of the guest rooms right? And I don't think Mom or Dad would mind at all."

Johnson thought for a moment, then said, "I will make sure sleeping arrangements are made for her and we will talk to you parents when they come home tomorrow. Now, shall we get everything outside it is quite chilly out here." He carried the girl inside while Klarissa followed with her shopping bags. As soon as a guest room was ready, thanks to the maid Ashley, The mysterious, sleeping, girl was put there, dressed into spare flannel pj's, and tucked in for the night.

Klarissa had some dinner on a tray placed next to the girls bed, in case she woke up and was hungry, then went to the nearby living room to do her homework, which was boring.

[[Sorry guys :(]]

When Anthael awoke, she was in a strange bed in strange clothing. She sat up slowly, shaking her head a bit, the smell of food penetrated her thought bubble. With a cautious hand, she grabs a biscuit and takes a slow bite. Her mouth felt dry, parched, and her eyes land on the cup of water.

Where was she?

Was she still dreaming?

Anthael gives herself a good pinch and she jumps a bit, realizing that she was, in fact, awake. She clicks her tongue on the roof of her mouth and slowly drinks the water. She sits straight up in the bed and gazes around at the room.

The room was dark, so she couldn't make out much, but it smelled clean, almost sterile...Wherever she was, it was a fancy place...

She eats a bit more of the biscuit, then sets it down, and creeps over to the edge of the bed. Swinging her legs out of the covers, she places bare feet hit the ground with no sound and she lingers towards the door. It was slightly cracked and she caught sight of herself in the hallway mirror and blinked hard a few times. Touching her face, it was too strange...She looked like she did when she was alive... Maybe this was a very..realistic dream... Or maybe this was real. Her hands float up to her face, and she taps it a few times...

Definitely real...

But, how? And who was holding her here?

Klarissa looked up from her history homework when she saw movement in the corner of her eye. She saw the door to the guest room of the strange girl open and the msterious figure emerge. She seemed a littled dazed and shocked when she saw herself in the mirror. Klarissa watched or a second from her position on the rug in the living room adjacent to the hall, noticing how the girl touched her face as if it was someone elses. She shook her head. Stop jumping to wild ideas. She thought. The girl probably was just surpised at how awful she looked. She did look pale and there were shadows under her eyes.

She stood up and walked to the doorway quietly, so not to startle the girl. "I'm glad your awake." She said, leaning against the wall. "It sounded like you took a big hit in that alleyway back there. Do you remember anything? Oh wait, I forgot my manners, I'm Klarissa. Klarissa Masters. This must be a little bit of a surprise waking up in a strange house, but I couldn't just leave you in the alley where i found you." She stopped, realizing that she had begun to talk loudly and excitedly. Lowering her voice again she invited the strange girl to come sit in the living room where it was warm and light, and the fire was going in the fireplace. "Why don't you come sit down?"

Emily was still looking herself over in the mirror. Is... Could this be... Color?, she thought to herself. The frayed black cloak, white undershirt and dark pants she wore have been replaced with a strange jacket and an even stranger pair of pants, with her original attire nowhere to be found. While softly tracing the cuts and dirt over her face, she was approached by a girl with matching hair and eye color. Sensing the girl's presence, Emily moved to turn and face the girl. She was wearing much nicer cloths than Emily had been wearing at the moment, and she also appeared a bit older as well. Emily was still turning around when the girl began to talk.

"I'm glad your awake." The girl said, leaning on a wall. She was using a soft voice, probably not to startle Emily. "It sounded like you took a big hit in that alleyway back there. Do you remember anything?" The girl asked, and Emily thought for a second, still slow due to whatever had happened. Right as Emily was about to respond, however, she was cut off by the girl's speech, which was starting to become quite loud. "Oh wait, I forgot my manners, I'm Klarissa. Klarissa Masters. This must be a little bit of a surprise waking up in a strange house, but I couldn't just leave you in the alley where i found you..." The girl who called herself Klarissa finally finished, stopping suddenly as if to give Emily a short break from all the talking. Her head began to hurt a bit more with all there was to think about and listen to. I need to sit back down..., Emily thought to herself, trying to remember exactly what happened. And as if Klarissa had read her mind, she spoke up again, more silent this time. "Why don't you come sit down?", Klarissa asked, motioning Emily to another room. Emily nodded and followed Klarissa inside.

Sitting down in a chair near the fireplace, Emily rested her head and closed her eyes again, the dizziness of moving pushing her back into darkness for a few seconds. With the darkness came a rush of dark colors and a feeling of ease. Opening her eyes, she looked at Klarissa, who had patiently waited for Emily to say something. Despite the awkward feeling of the situation, she decided to try and answer the question that Klarissa had asked. "y-You wanted to know... If I remembered anything...?" She asked quietly, her voice delicate and barely audible. Emily began to think back, trying to recall what had happened. Okay... There was the city... Then the cloud came, I'm sure of that... It caught up to me... And..., Emily thought to herself, her thoughts distorted by the headache she has to deal with. Did she smash her head through a wall or something? I was going to die back there... But there was a bright light, and...

Emily shook her head a little to clear her mind. She was still too disoriented to make good sense out of her own thoughts. All she could do was focus on what was happening now, in the world of color, which she could hardly believe was real. "Where... Am I?"

Klarissa waited patiently as the girl seemed to try and gather her thoughts. She motioned for Johnson to fix up something for the girl to drink. Like hot coco. "Where... Am I?" The girl asked, still seeming dazed.

"At my house." Klarissa said immediately, then realized that she may not be talking about the house exactly. "I found you in an alley near the mall in the city. We are in the suburbs now, up in the Richmond manors neighborhood. It was vague but everybody she knew had heard of the Richmond Manors, the large houses created by the original Richmond for each of his children and the community of large houses that grew up around the area.

Johnson came back with two mugs on a tray. He handed one to the strange girl, "Here you go, Miss. Some hot chocolate with a dash of vanilla for you." Then he handed one to Klarissa, it was her favorite flavor.

"At my house." Klarissa replied almost instantly. "I found you in an alley near the mall in the city. We are in the suburbs now, up in the Richmond manors neighborhood." Emily had no idea what a "mall", "suburb" or "Richmond manors neighborhood" was, but she knew from what she was hearing that she was a long way off from "home". Nodding to Klarissa and gathering some strength, Emily was able to sit up a bit straighter in her chair. She hadn't noticed when the man who had been hovering around Klarissa had left, but did when he returned with a tray holding two mugs containing some sort of steaming liquid. The man took one of the mugs and handed it to Emily, who took it into her hands with delicate care.

"Here you go, Miss. Some hot chocolate with a dash of vanilla for you.", he said, handing one to Klarissa a moment later. "Thank you..." Emily said, looking into the mug to see a mix of brown and white. She merely held the cup with both hands, unsure exactly what to do with it. "Do I... Drink it?", she thought to herself, questioning whether it was a good idea to consume something that felt like fire, even when held in such a container. Moving her hands near the top and handle of the mug as not to burn her hands, she took a quick sip of the hot chocolate. The taste took her off guard, immediately waking her up. It had flavor.

Taking another sip and lowering the cup, Emily tried to think back again. "I was... Falling..." She said, thinking and remembering out loud. "It was dark, and cold... And I couldn't see very well. But I saw colorful lights below me as I fell..." She said, probably referring to what would be street and car lights in the middle of the night. "I got closer and closer to the lights... And then a few seconds later..." She trailed off, remembering the impact and putting a hand to her head as the throbbing pain returned. She could've sworn that she felt some sort of gap where the pain was, almost as if her skull was split open somehow, but she tried her best to call it her imagination getting the better of her. The chocolate had cooled down a bit more, and she took a longer sip of it, waiting to see what Klarissa thought of her "story".

"Falling?" Klarissa asked. "Where did you fall from? I didn't see any windows, were you pushed off of the roof? What lights did you see I wonder" That last part she said mostly to herself. She looked at the girl again. You did hit that garbage bin really hard though. It made a huge dent in it. We should take you to the hospital tomorrow in case anythings wrong." She sipped her hot choco. "And then I should take you to the mall and get you some better clothes, I don't think you'll be able to fit into mine and when I found you, you weren't wearing anything. It's a good thing its saturday tomorrow, huh."

There was so much that Klarissa wanted to know. Her story seemed strange to her, the idea of falling, seeing lights, and how could she have hit that trash can so hard? Then an important, obvious question popped into her head, "What is your name?"

"Falling?" Klarissa asked Emily. "Where did you fall from? I didn't see any windows, were you pushed off of the roof? What lights did you see I wonder..." Klarissa seemed to ask the last part to herself. Emily continued to try and make sense of her memories while she drank her hot chocolate, which was starting to cool down. Emily was a bit surprised that Klarissa didn't know what the "lights" that Emily saw were, but she decided not to ask. "You did hit that garbage bin really hard though. It made a huge dent in it. We should take you to the hospital tomorrow in case anythings wrong." Klarissa said, sipping her hot chocolate. "That must've been what I hit..." Emily said to herself, taking another sip of her hot chocolate, trying once more to remember. "And then I should take you to the mall and get you some better clothes, I don't think you'll be able to fit into mine and when I found you, you weren't wearing anything. It's a good thing its Saturday tomorrow, huh." Klarissa continued, and Emily rested her head on the back of the chair again, trying to relieve herself of as much pain as possible while taking the situation into consideration. The cloths did feel odd on her.

There was so much that Emily couldn't remember, and even more things she didn't know about the new world around her. "That hit to the "garbage" must have messed up my memory..." Emily thought to herself. "What is your name?", Emily heard, the question seemingly louder than even her thoughts. She lifted her head back up, reforming her posture. "My name..." Emily was about to finish, but stopped to think, and after a few seconds, remembered. "My name's Emily... I remember giving myself that name a while back", she said, then decided to ask a question for herself. "So, uhh... What's a Saturday?"

Emily.. that was a pretty name, Klarissa thought. There was something off about this girl though; a name she gave herself? Does that mean Emily wasn't her real name. What if she was a runaway or was hiding from someone. All kinds of thoughts ran through Klarissa's head until she quieted them. You're overreacting, She told herself, its just a name.

Her thoughts were interrupted when the girl, Emily, spoke again. "So, uhh... What's a Saturday?"

Klarissa looked at her funny. "Its a day of the week. Usually there's no school on that day, so people can go out and have fun." Hmm, she thought, maybe she did take a concussion to the head. She should probably take her to the doctors tonight instead of waiting until morning when it could be worse. "Are you feeling all right? I think we should go to the hospital tonight, not in the morning."

Klarissa seemed to pause for a few seconds, giving Emily a strange look that she'd never seen before. She laughed on the inside, but showed no change of emotion on the outside. "Its a day of the week. Usually there's no school on that day, so people can go out and have fun." Klarissa explained to Emily. "Oh... Uh, okay." She said, then thought to herself, "So a Saturday is just one "day" of a "week"? Now my head hurts even more. And what's a school?" Thinking to herself while bearing the pain, she finished off the rest of her hot chocolate. The taste lingered in her mouth, which was enjoyable at first, but started to annoy Emily after awhile.

"Are you feeling all right? I think we should go to the hospital tonight, not in the morning." Klarissa said. Emily looked up at Klarissa. "Tonight?", Emily said, taking a second to think again. "Well, whatever time's good for you... It's not like I have anywhere to go." She said, and was about to think again before stopping herself. "No. No more thinking. I've been through enough pain tonight." Emily pushed her curiosity and confusion away as she rubbed her finger on the inside of her mug, scraping off the last of the hot chocolate that had reverted back into a chocolaty dust, and stuck the sweet substance into her mouth along with her finger. Never before had she tasted something so good.

That girl was truly strange. A hospital visit like this would be didn't wait for anyones leisure time. Klarissa watched Emily carefully, she really didn't look good, and from what she remembered from first aid lessons was the the longer one waited, the worse the condition got. She looked at the clock. It was getting late, but it was friday so she didn't have curfew or school in the morning. She looked at Johnson who was watching the girl too, he nodded at Klarissa. "I will get the car keys, Miss." He said and left.

Klarissa looked at the girl, "Come on, lets go." She said. Standing up and putting her mug of hot choco down on the tray, forgotten and finished. She took Emily's cup to and pulled her to her feet. Klarissa saw the pajama's on the girls tiny frame and considered having her change before they left, but decided that that was too much.

Klarissa seemed to be looking Emily over, for reasons that Emily couldn't currently fathom. Was she concerned for Emily's condition? Or was she just looking at how much of a mess she was? A moment later, she heard the man who was standing nearby say, "I will get the car keys, Miss.", and then he exited the room. A moment later, Klarissa looked to Emily and stood. "Come on, lets go.", Klarissa said to Emily, who was just getting up as well after setting the mug down.

Even while using the arm of the chair for support, Emily was set off balance from getting up too quickly for her condition to allow, and the sudden blood rush from getting up almost caused her to fall over. Regaining her balance, she started to follow Klarissa, who had stopped at the door to look at Emily again. Her body was thinner than most people her age should have been, and realistically, was even more fragile than it looked. Her skin was pale and seemed to have never touched the sun before, and her blue eyes seemed to stand out a bit. Traces of blood and dirt could still be seen across her forehead and in her blonde hair, which hadn't been brushed in awhile. When it came down to looks, a bystander who saw her would probably think that she'd never actually been outside before. And the pajama's were, in fact, a size big on her.

Emily tilted her head a bit, curious as to why Klarissa was staring. Soon, though, Klarissa seemed to shake off a decision she was about to make, and continued on. Emily followed Klarissa after she started walking again. As Emily walked, she saw dark colors swim before her eyes and a sudden dizziness set in. Squeezing her eyes closed for a second and opening them again, the colors had faded and the dizziness had at least been suppressed for the time being.

Klarissa led the way to her car in the garage. Johnson was already there and opened the passenger door for the girls. He was going to drive them to the hospital. Klarissa got into it and patted her seat for Emily to sit to. Then she buckled her seat. Johnson got the car rolling and they were soon on the road, streatlights passing by the window as they passed through the friday night air.

At the hospital Klarissa stood between the normal entrance and the ER entrance, wondering what considered an emergency. This must one of them, she decided and led the way through the doors. To the receptionist she explained what she knew. "I found this girl unconsious in an alley tonight." She said refering to Emily. "She took a really hard hit to a garbage bin and I think she had a concussion. She's been acting dazed and couldn't even remember what a Saturday was." The receptionist nodded. She handed Klarissa a clipboard to fill out for medical information and said that a nurse would be out soon to see how serious the injury was.

Emily hopped into the car with Klarissa, who was slinging some sort of black strip over herself and clicking it into some sort of slot. The man who was previously hovering over Klarissa had gotten into the front seat and done the same. Following example, Emily took the belt into her hands and buckled in as well. Emily was immediately amazed when she saw that the machine they were in was moving, and heading down some sort of large black pathway. It was night now, and the path in front of them was now illuminated by lights attached to tall poles and the soft glow of the nearby buildings. "Could these be the lights I saw?", Emily thought to herself as she rested her head on her seat's plush headrest.

When they entered the tower-like structure that Klarissa had previously called a "hospital", they faced two doors. Klarissa seemed to pause before two doors before making her way through one of the two doors. Emily followed Klarissa into a large white room, the change in brightness hurting Emily's eyes. She had to squint for a minute to get used to how bright the room was, while patiently waiting for Klarissa to finish doing whatever it was she was doing. She had talked to a person behind a desk, who handed Klarissa what appeared to be a piece of paper clipped to a thin hard surface with a black rod clipped to the side. Klarissa had taken the rod and scribbled onto the paper, forming symbols that Emily couldn't understand. Emily sat in a nearby chair and rested her head against the wall the chair was against. She tried to get the situation under her grasp again, but her pounding head and hard thinking led her only to more questions. Emily closed her eyes and took a small nap after a minute.

Klarissa filled out the paper as much as she could. She had Johnson fill out the insurance information she wrote down the major symptoms and what she knew of the patient. "What is your full name Emily?" She asked. "And your age and weight. Do you remember anything about your medical history at all?"

As she was writing a nurse came out. Klarissa gave the woman what she could about their circumstances and the nurse called Emily away to an examination room. Klarissa and Johnson were asked to stay in the waiting room.

(Here comes a long post.)
Emily woke up a few moments later, seeing that there was a person standing above her. "What is your full name Emily?", the person asked. Emily's name has always been Emily, as far as she knew. Was there more to her name that she didn't know about? "As far as I know, Emily is my full name...", she replied. And when the person asked about things she called "weight", "age", and "medical history", Emily could only give a blank stare as a response. The nurse could look Emily in the eyes and see that her left eye was much more dilated than the right, which seemed to be focused to see something far away. This meant that Emily definitely had a concussion of some sort.

(I guess I'm taking the nurse's roll)
Emily was taken by another person to a different room, and Klarissa didn't follow. In this room there seemed to be a bed of some sort on one side of the room, and on the other there were many shelves and tools. There was also a chair in the corner of the room with a thick-looking helmet attached to an arm above the chair. Emily wondered what this was for. "Please lay back on the bed, Emily.", the nurse said, getting a small flashlight and another one of those paper-holding objects. Emily lied back on the bed, and the nurse shined the light into Emily's eyes. She could feel her eyes burn from the light, and she flinched away from it. The nurse began making symbols on her paper after trying to get Emily to look at the light a few more times. She then put some sort of glass stick into Emily's mouth, and looking at the stick, the nurse's eyes widened. She wrote down more symbols. "I'd like to get an x-ray of your skull to see if there's any damage... Please sit in that chair over there." The nurse said, motioning to the chair with the thick helmet. Emily got up slowly, knowing now that getting up too fast wouldn't do much good. She sat in the chair, and the nurse brought the helmet so it just hovered over Emily's head, but blocked her field of vision. "Be sure to close your eyes." The nurse said. Emily closed her eyes and waited.

About 15 minutes had passed. The nurse was shocked by what she saw on the results. Emily's entire skull had been ruptured and cracked, and there was a wide split on the right side at the back of her head. However, this was the least of the nurses concern. A deep layer scan for determining the size and shape of a patients brain showed the nurse what looked like a bone going up the back of Emily's brain and through the center to the front, with rib-like branches throughout. And at the tip of the bone what could only be described as an egg-sized orb that distorted the imaging around it. The nurse would need to do a full EEG scan on Emily to get better results.

The nurse returned after a few minutes, and told Emily to follow her. Emily nodded and stood up. She felt... Awkward, like she was floating in a great body of water. She wondered what the machine the nurse put Emily in has done to her. The nurse stopped at a steel plate on a wall and pushed a few buttons. She said into the plate, "Could you bring John and Klarissa Masters to the EEG room on the first floor please?", then motioned Emily to follow. They entered another room awhile later, this one with a larger machine and a bed. She was asked to lay on the bed, and Emily did just that. The bed rolled its way into the machine, and she heard a distinct humming noise.

The EEG results were even more astonishing than the last. A normal human could only use about 10% of their brain, yet Emily's brain was operating at a good 75% of a normal human brain, and the egg shaped object near the front of Emily's brain was giving off chart results topping at around 20,000% capacity. Whoever and whatever this girl was, she couldn't possibly be human. The nurse heard the door open, which she expected to be Klarissa and John. The nurse printed out the results of the machine and got the other results ready for Klarissa and John.
