Yoshiko's father stood wondering what she was talking about. He was sure it wasn't true. People couldn't change into someone else. But, Ms. Pheonix face did not look like she was joking. The whole night was shocking and he was too upset to argue with her or doubt her.
"I see." he said not sure what else to say, "Do you have proof? Like a picture or video?" he wondered. "Do I owe you money?"

Yoshiko watched all the cars on the street and the people walking by. It was dark and the street lights and the car lights made her feel a little dizzy. She was tired, sad, confused and wanted to go home, wanted her mother. She wanted the day to be over.

"I have the clipboard she gave me of Yoshiko." She gestured to the clipboard, still firmly gripped in her hand. Patricia handed it to Yoshiko's father. "It's everything about her, and a drawing. Unfortunatly, if there's anything Mrs. Miura missed, it won't be there because I put everything on that clipboard into the machine and that was it." She looked the man up and down, then sighed. "I've very sorry, Shinzu, but... the real Yoshiko is dead. The Yoshiko outside is your wife with her DNA and appearance modified to the maximum. She doesn't remember anything of how Yoshiko died, having her memory modified to forget as requested."

Father stood gripping the clipboard. The picture was Yoshiko and the information was all about her. If it was a joke it was a really bad one. He wasn't sure he believed her. The girl he saw looked and sounded like Yoshiko. It seemed impossible. He thought about it and decided to himself that the girl outside waiting was probably Yoshiko and that the woman was working with his wife to hide.
He thanked her and went outside to talk to Yoshiko. He crouched down and hugged her. He took her hand, looked at the bandage and came back in without Yoshiko, "Yoshiko says she can't take off the bandage. Is that true? If I leave it on will it get dirty and make her sick?"

Patricia smiled. "No, sir, it's just a precaution. See, I have one too!" She showed her wrist, the bandage starting to slowly lose it's natural white colour. "Hey, Yoshiko, want a..." She slowly kneeled down behind her desk, until she couldn't be seen. "Lolipop?" She jumped back up with a lolipop in her hand. She handed it over to Yoshiko, still grinning with her whole heart. Maybe it'll occupy the poor girl's attention.

((ooc: I like the body switch. But she's at school in morning and I' still night. So I'm going to write for day and then switch)

Yoshiko took the lolipop but didn't eat it. She was too sad. She drove home with Father he said nothing, but he looked at her odd sometimes.
She went to bed and the next day got up. She showered, got dressed for school and was surprised Mother wasn't home. Father was up, but he looked like he hadn't slept all night. When she tried to talk to him all he said was to get her books and he'd drive her to school. Yoshiko grabbed the lolipop from her dresser when she got her books. She ate the lolipop in the car because she was very nervous.
She was late for school and she ran upstairs to class. "Teacher will be so angry." she knew. She ran in the door

"Has anyone seen Yoshiko?" her teacher asks.

"Right here." the girl sitting in Yukiko's desk answered. "Sorry, I'm..." Yoshiko/Yukiko stopped, her eyes big, her face turned red, then pale. "I'm... I'm..." Yoshiko was confused. She looked around at everyone in the classroom. They were all staring at the confused, embarrassed girl. "I'm... I'm sorry. I didn't..."

Her teacher gave her an angry stare as the girls in her class laughed, "Do you think you're funny?" the woman snapped.
"No, Teacher." she said sliding down in her desk.
"You island girls. Maybe you need your hearing checked." Yoshiko nodded. Her teacher made her kneel in the corner by the window with her hands in the air for the rest of homeroom. She stared at the girl who was her the whole time

"Right here." a girl calls out from her seat. Yukiko looks over at the girl sitting in her seat. It's her body, but it's not her. "She isn't sure what to say or do. Yukiko, or is it Yoshiko? She's not sure. She stands nervous trying to think about what to say or do. The girl who is her, or llooks like her is sent to the window to kneel with her hands in the air for being stupid. Yukiko wants to sneak away hoping teacher didn't see her.
"Why are you late, Yoshiko?" her teacher asks.
"Uhhhh...I uh..." she didn't know why she was late. "I uhhhhh..." Yukiko stammered.
"To the window with the new girl." Teacher ordered.
Yukiko sighed, walked over to the window, set her bag down and kneel hands in the air for homeroom. She wanted to say something to the girl that was her, but didn't know what to say.

Yoshiko/Yukiko knelt by the window wondering what had happened. She stared at the girl who is her and wondered how she got to be her. She was so confused she cried a little. Some of her friends thought she was the new girl and made faces at her and laughed a little, especially the boys. She wanted to say something about them that would make them cry, but she knew she couldn't. They would know something was wrong.
Yoshiko/Yukiko tried to think of something to say to the girl who was her that was next to her. "What can I say?" she wondered. "She must be as confused as me. If I say something and people hear me they'll think I'm crazy." Yoshiko/Yukiko decided to stay quiet and not make her teacher angry.

Yukiko, now Yoshiko, kneels with her hands over her head. She is confused and wants to say something to the other girl, but she can't think of anything. She doesn't know her and she isn't sure what she could say that wouldn't sound stupid. She kneels and is happy fifteen minutes later when the bell rings and she can put down her arms.
Her teacher gives both of them angry looks. Yukiko, now Yoshiko, gets up and walks to the front of the class and bows, apologizes and the teacher leaves them alone in the room.
Yukiko stands next to the other girl who looks like her. "Ummmm. Can we talk in the hall? Please?"

Yoshiko nodded at the girl. She wanted to talk too. She didn't understand what had happened, but she didn't want to get in any more trouble with their teachers. She walked out in the hall with Yukiko who was now her. "Uhhh... Sorry." Is the only thing she could think to say. She felt stupid standing in the hall looking around at the other students, some staring and some smiling. She knew all of them, but she couldn't say anything because she wasn't Yoshiko any more.
"How did you get me?" she whispered to the other girl. "Who are you? Why are you doing this?" she stopped and thought about it. "I'm sorry. I know it isn't you. I'm just very upset."

"I don't know." Yukiko whispered back. She wanted to talk more about what happened but she was afraid someone might hear them. "Let's talk later. Maybe at break or lunch." She didn't know what she could tell her. She would have to think about what she could tell the girl. "Maybe I should tell her about the woman and how I'm not who I am or she is?" she thought. As stupid as it might sound, the girl might believe it.
She looked down at her wrist, "Oh God, you have one too?" She said a little louder. She looked around to see who was listening, but no one was looking. "You have the bandage too." she whispered to the girl. "We HAVE to talk."

Yoshiko stared at their bandages and knew they both had the same ones. "Maybe we should..." she thought and stopped. "No." she shook her head. "If we take them off something worse might happen."
The bell rang for class to start, "Let's just go in and try not to be weird or stupid." She tried to think of how the day could get worse, but couldn't. Something told her it would get worse, a lot worse.

Yukiko sees a teacher walking toward the class. She runs into the class and sits down.
"I see we have a new student in class today. I heard she's from one of the islands. Why don't you stand and tell us about you."
Forgetting that she's Yoshiko, Yukiko stands, "Yukiko is name..." Yukiko stops confused.
The teacher looks angry at Yukiko, "Yoshiko is this one of your jokes."
"Teacher no. Sorry I'm." Yukiko covers her mouth a shocked look on her face.
"Not funny, Yoshiko. Do you want to go to the window."
"Window the to go to want don't I Teacher I."
"That's it! Window! You're not funny."
Yukiko walks toward the window. She says nothing. She kneels and holds her arms in the air trying to figure out what is heppening to her and why.

Yoshiko watched as the girl in her body walked over to the window, knelt down and put her hands in the air. "This day couldn't get any worse." she thought, until,
"Now, Yukiko. Please rise and tell the class about you."
Yoshiko didn't know anything about the girl. She only knew her name and that she was from an island, that was it. She stood and turned a deep red trying to think of something, "Uhhh... I'm Yukiko and my family is here from an island in the north east... I can't uhhhh... I can't think of anything special to say."
"Yukiko Ishishima, I was told your parents died in an accident. How could your family be here from the north?"
Yoshiko turned a deeper red, "Oh... yeah... I meant my family I live with here, now, are from an island. I'm sorry. I... they... ummmm... they're my family and uhhhh... they came from the same place."
She knew she looked stupid to everyone, but she didn't know what to say ot do. Finally, thge teacher sighed, rolled his eyes and told her to sit down. She sat took a couple of breaths and tried not to cry

The backwards words in her thoughts don't confuse her. She understands what she's thinking, they're just backwards. Yukiko remains by the window her arms aching for almost fifteen minutes.
"Can you stop acting stupid Yoshiko and return to your seat?" the math teacher asks.
For a second she doesn't say anything and then remembers she is Yoshiko, "Yes." she calls out quickly before he changes his mind.
"Then sit!" the teacher orders.
Yukiko gets up rubbing her arms and sits. "Day the of rest the for talking no just. Trouble into get can't I. It take can't arms my." she says softly rubbing her arms to make them stop hurting.

Yoshiko sits quietly hoping she won't have to say anything more. "Why am I Yukiko." she wonders looking at her name tag. "It's not fun or funny at all. What did that woman do to me and how do I get back?"
Yoshiko finishes her work and silently draws. She's afraid to do anything that might make her teacher angry. She does all her work and when they wheel in the cart for lunch she is excited. She is very hungry.

Yukiko was able to make it to the end of classes without getting called on. "Short is school. Day first the it's god thank." she said backward. She waited outside for the other girl to show up. She needed to get somewhere safe where no one would ask her questions, well not ask her questions she could get in trouble for.
When Yoshiko the girl in her (Yukiko) body came out, Yukiko grabbed her arm quickly and pulled her, "Been you have where?" she asked angry. "This fix to have we." She was so upset she didn't think about how hard it would be for the other girl to understand her. "House my to go to have we. House aunt's my." She pulled Yoshiko to the bus stop, looking for the address she had. She realized she didn't have it because it was in her pocket and the other girl was her. She pulled the paper out of the other girl's jacket pocket, "Go let's. Bus which?" she asked looking at the other girl hoping she knew how to get to the address

Patricia looked up from her desk to see an old, frail woman wonder in. "Hello!" She smiled at her brightly. "I'm Patricia, and I'll be your... ... Hm. I'm your brilliant person. Hah! That makes sense! .. Kind of!" Realising she was babbling - and the woman was giving her a strange look - she continued onto the more official business. "I apologise, Miss. Now, tell me who you want to be." She slid a form over the desk to the woman with a pen and smiled - almost creepily - at her, waiting for her to fill out the form.

Hannah takes the form that has been pushed in front of her, scanning over the information she has to fill in. She swallows nervously, licking her lips before she speaks. "I-I want to be a boy." The words she's wanted to say for so long finally spill forth from her tongue, and it's as if a great weight has been lifted from her chest. "I want to be a boy," she says again, this time with more conviction as she begins to fill out the paperwork.

Name? That's easy. She'd always loved the name Leonard, like the little boy who lived down the street she desired to emulate. Age? She doesn't want to be too young, to the point where she loses some of her independence, but she still wants to be able to enjoy her boyhood as well. She decides twelve is as good an age as any to start. The other things were more difficult. She still wanted to be herself, so she didn't input anything besides "typical boy" in the personality department. But the looks...

She could look however she wanted. Blonde hair? She's always wanted to have golden, shimmering locks. But something drew her to write "light brown" in the box instead. Blue eyes. That was a given. She'd always loved the way blue eyes could mimic the sea and be a gateway to an ocean of emotion. She draws a picture of what she wants to look like, spending great time on the details. She'd always been an artist, if not professionally then in spirit. With a smile, she hands the clipboard and pen back to the lady across the counter.

"I still want to be myself, just please, make me a boy."

Patricia lifted the form and quietly scanned over it, then looked at the woman with a smile. It was pretty detailed - enough for her to get a good, clear picture of what the woman's life was like and what she herself was like, never mind Leonard. She had always been good at reading between the lines. Examining the sketch of Leonard, her smile grew. "You are a talented artist, Miss." She looked up at her, smiling. "Come, sweetie." Moving from behind the desk, she put her arm around the woman and guided her to the door next to the desk - the 'Dream Room' she called it.

The wires attached to the cylindrical machine glowed with a faint, metallic blue. The walls and floor were a shinning white which reflected the blue lights, giving the whole room a light blue tint. She left the woman in the middle of the room and headed to the desk behind the glass panel. She flicked a switch on a computer keyboard and power began to ebb from what seemed like every single area of the room, even the air.

Patricia hesitated and then looked up at the woman. "Miss, are completely set on seeing this through? There can be severe side effects and... well, changing gender can usually have.. unforeseen complications... Are you 100% certain you want to become Leonard?"

Yoshiko couldn't go with Yukiko. She had her Math and Science Academies to go to. But then she remembered, she was Yukiko and Yukiko needed to go to her classes. She hates them, they're boring, it's more studying and the teachers are not very good. The classes are all about homework. Each acadmey she attends gives out more-and-more homework like it's the only thing she has to do.
If she knew where Yukiko lived she'd be happy. Yukiko could go to her boring classes and she could go to Yukiko's home and sleep. She likes that idea, a lot. But, she'd be alone. She loves her father. She wants to be her again.
She begins to feel light headed, a little dizzy. When she feels better, she realizes she's Yoshiko again. "I'm me!" she squeals

"Thank you," Hannah says with a shy smile. She hasn't received a compliment on her artwork in many, many years. But when asked if she would truly like to become Leonard, the smile runs away from her face, replaced by a look of pure determination. "Yes," she punctuates her word with a firm nod, "I'm completely certain I would like to become Leonard. I don't care about the side effects. I've been waiting for this... Well, I've been waiting for this all my life."

She almost hasn't noticed the room when they first entered. She was so excited to finally have her dream come true, and it was all so close she could almost taste it. Hannah walks over to the large cylinder in the middle of the room, wanting to touch it but at the same time afraid to mess with anything in the room. She needs this to go right, or as right as possible given that there are always certain complications in any procedure.

"What am I supposed to do?" She asks as she looks back at the woman behind the desk.

Patricia glanced at the woman with a smile, then turned her attention to the computer keyboard and pressed a few more keys with a quick and elegant flourish of her hand. The metal cylinder turned on it's spot to face the woman properly. It hadn't been used for a while now, so Patricia had turned it off. There was a blue, glowing outline of a door and a window with a blinding light inside. Pressing a few more keys, the door slid open, the light hiding the boundaries of the machine.

"What are you supposed to do?" Patricia laughed, almost mockingly as she joined the woman. "Step inside, and your life will be changed forever."
