You know that one person that you had to watch put on a mask every day in order to feel good enough? The one that may be for the better or worst but, either way, they seem to completely forget who they really are just for the approval of others in her life. Well, that person is lil' Miss. Iris Clover Buchanan, even if she won't admit to it. However, the way she is now wasn't how she was right before she left Spence. Before moving away, she was seen as a spitting image of New York's beloved Buchanan twins; smart, caring, kind of quiet but still outgoing enough to make friends with most people who went to her school, but also confident enough in herself to never feel the need to kiss up to anyone. She was a Buchanan after all, they were loved in this city. And because of that, she never cared about what random people thought about her but it boils down to her family and close friends as the main factor for her need to strive for perfection. As much as she tries to hide it now, in order to come off as this girl who just doesn't care. Those closest to her would be able to tell that right below the surface, that need to please others is still there just trying to keep itself hidden. However, when her world, in a sense, felt like it was crashing down Iris was lost... and confused. She had no idea who she was anymore and that made her change everything about herself. For the better or the worst, you decide.

The worst thing that comes with Iris, now is that you never know what side or face you're going to get with her. Are you going to get the sweet, fun loving, somewhat dimwitted girl she used to be and tries to hide? The side that only slips out when she's alone or around those she feels like she can trust? Which right now, is a low number of people? The side of her that portrays this kind girl who would never hurt a fly not to even think another person. She seemed like this, while condescending, somewhat geeky brainiac she only meant well with her intentions and offers to help. Or will you get the persona she tries to have 24/7? The persona that acts like this somewhat cocky, conniving, and dimwitted girl who won't bat an eyelash at hurting someone's feelings with her sarcastic quips, the side that will continue to walk around as if she did nothing wrong and that she even left. Giving them the explanation that she doesn't have to explain herself to them. This part of her is ruthless, calculating, and will take what and who she wants when she wants it because this babydoll doesn't like hearing rejection. And unlike before, this girl seems to get attention with not only being beautiful but also with have that air of confidence that just pulls guys to her.

However, there are traits that she can't seem to hide no matter how hard she tries. She is a natural born leader, knowing just how to make those around her want to follow her lead. She likes to think that people can be better than they believe if they just pushed themselves a little harder which would have made her an amazing future dance or cheer captain this year. But, with that said she is a very tough girl and in some cases, she's far tougher than she should be for her age. She doesn't just push people to their limit, she's been known to push them to their edge with both their bodies and what they can take emotionally knowing that the world will be twice as bad as she is. She likes to believe that people can always be better and some people are just too weak to see it that way but with training and some very tough love they'll be just fine. But, that doesn't just apply to other people, she's no hypocrite.

She tougher on herself more than anyone just like her parents were on her and her siblings knowing that they were meant to do big things. Always pushing herself harder and harder no matter how tired and burnt out she is just because they have been taught to never show doubt, weakness, and vulnerability in the face others. But, with that, she's annoyingly stubborn and will never back down from a challenge whether it be taking on a debate she knows she won't win or trying a stunt she knows she probably won't land perfectly. But, she doesn't care. If you don't try, you'll never know. That's something her... dad always says to them.

She still this stupidly cheesy romantic, always dreaming of having that perfect high school sweetheart type relationship that you see in cheesy 80s and 90s movies where they'd spoil each other with affection and small, stupid trinkets or the guy he declares his love for the girl in front of their whole class at some dumb school dance. Hell, deep down that cheesy, movie-loving girl is still down there. She just tends to hide the types of movies she likes. On top of that, she's still kind and selfless to those few she feels like she still may have in her corner. And while a lot of the people in her life don't need a handout. She would never blink an eye at helping them out whether it be with money or clothes, or even just being there to talk to them even if she doesn't deal with others' emotions well. Hell, she doesn't even handle her own emotions correctly. Because you see when she wants to be she can be your best girlfriend.

She can be supportive, boosting up your confidence and making you feel like the second sexiest girl in Spence. Which can make her surprisingly loyal and while she knows that now most of those loyalties she had at Spence are gone. She would be willing to rebuild them if given the chance. Which lead to the last major trait of her. She does have this cloud of guilt following her through the city now, knowing that just leaving all of those who cared for her behind without any type of reason wasn't okay. She knows she hurt them and that she probably lost some really good friends. But, in order to apologize... to any of them, that would mean telling them why she left and that's not an option for her right now.

Iris loved her childhood, unlike her older siblings she was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. And while she's aware that she wasn't born into the high-class life like most of her peers, it was perfect to her. Her parents were in love, she had two sisters that she could look up to, a rather big plantation house that has been in their family for generations, and they lived this somewhat picture perfect, Southern family image. The family lived there until Iris just turned ten years old when they were given the news that their father, a well-known lawyer was contacted by one of the world's most famous firms in the country but, in order to keep the position. He and his family had to move to New York. And they wouldn't have moved if it wasn't a job way up the company ladder. But, it was, they were making money they never even fathomed and even though it killed them to leave their hometown behind, they didn't have a choice. This was his dream and a stepping stone for him to get into the political realm like he always wanted. They soon found themselves in a high rise Duplex Penthouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where the Buchanan to this day still reside. After moving to New York, all four of their lives changed seemingly overnight. They were thrown into the best school, had the nicest clothes, a driver to take them where ever they wanted or needed to go, and a full staff to get them whatever they needed. It was mindboggling and it took all of them, especially a quiet, easy going Iris who at the time being was 'daddy's little angel'. She stayed to herself and rarely spoke when she was in big groups of people.

It wasn't until she was a freshman in high school when she began breaking out of her shell but in order to do that she begged not to go to Constance Billard School for Girls like her older sisters did seeing that both of them were so loved at that school that she knew she'd be compared to the two of them. All her life she was compared to them by her parents, family, friends, especially with both of them spanning over different fields in high school. Rosie being the go-to fashionista at the school and Charlotte being the Southern sweetheart who just so happened to be Class President for God knows how many years. She wanted to forge her own path, be her own person without having to worry about measuring up to her five years older siblings and because of that, she ended up going to Spence High not far from her sisters' old school. Everything was going great for her, she was popular, a part of a nationally ranked cheerleading team, on the school dance team, and had a group of friends who seemed perfect to her. But, that always changed the beginning of the sophomore year. She was in a summer school science class. They took a blood test. Iris, not being on for science classes really didn't pay attention to anything that was said. She got the results which stated she was O and didn't think anything else about it until her sister, Charlotte looked at the results and said it was impossible seeing that their parents were both AB and Charlotte and Rosie were both A, seeing that they were identical twins and their youngest, Beau was AB. She didn't think anything of it but the longer the summer went on, the more it weighed on her. She asked her parents and they looked as if they had seen a ghost.

And after that night, everything just came out. They had found Iris in an orphanage in Atlanta. The couple had just had a stillborn with their third daughter and the nurses informed them about a beautiful baby girl who had just been left in the state's one baby box who was no older than 48 houses old. They took this as a sign. They adopted the young Iris and brought her up as just another Buchanan kid. The twins were so young that they didn't understand, leading the parents telling a small fib about how the baby they lost was actually Iris. After this night, Iris found herself going off the rails. She felt like she had no idea who she was anymore. She wasn't a child from the famous Buchanan family, she didn't even know who she was or where she came from because of this she found herself distancing herself from her friends and her family, staying out more, and doing whatever she could to piss off the people who raised her. She went out of her way to spite them any way she could. It was going just fine until one night just weeks before starting her junior year she found herself passed out at her sister's Rose's couch after a night partying without a single clue on how she got there. She was given two choices by her parents; either be sent off to some private school in England or move in with Charlotte and her fiance, Brent in Washington D.C for the time being. She obviously chose the latter of the two, her sisters were the two people she didn't completely frost out of her life. She packed up her stuff that day and just disappeared. She didn't tell anyone where she was going or why she left, she just couldn't bring herself to talk to anyone about it.

She spent her entire Junior year living with the couple, where she obviously had to change how she acted. No drinking, no drugs, and no staying out late. It was hell at first but, she adjusted and really found herself falling in love with the city but, Charlotte kept telling her how she couldn't hide from it forever. That she had to face it and blah blah blah. Iris knew she was right and with the couple moving to the city again for their senior year internships she knew she didn't really have a choice. Which is where she is now, still living with her sister and being back in the city for about a month while also having to face the people who she completely abandoned for a little over a year. Her... 'parents' know she's back and have pulled some string in order to get her back into Spence even though she can't bring herself to see them just yet. They didn't leave on the best of terms and with their father running for office. Iris wants to wait until after to see them knowing that a scandal like this could decimate her dad's campaign and... she doesn't even know what she would say to them. One step at a time and right now, she just wants to worry about getting back in the flow of the big city and Spence and facing those she left completely in the dark.
