✦In Depth✦
Perhaps not the most built and physically fit one of the bunch, but "painfully handsome" indeed, as some have expressed it. The dramatic pair of brows against his fair skin express a world of emotions, some fake, but for the most part those that are real. He's got small,
almost cat shaped eyes, accentuated only by their electric color, hooded by long, dark lashes. Small yet plump lips that are usually twisted into a soft smirk, and on very rare occasions, pulled back to reveal a breathtaking, pearly white smile. Only around certain people, in certain circumstances. He may be a bit more on the lanky side, but still holds a good amount of muscle and tone, normally highlighted by the thin t-shirts and tight jeans he wears.

β•šβ•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•

Where to even begin? Jaxon Raven Heize, born and raised in Manhattan, is enticing and inviting in the most reckless, chaos ridden ways.

There's certainly something attention grabbing about the way he lives with no regards for what others think of him, moving and doing only those things that interest and excite him. Shameless, as most would describe him, because he truly does not care for what you have to say about him, nor does he lose sleep over your judgement. In the end, you'll be the one wasting your time and breath, all the while he'll go about his day without a single chip on his shoulder. The choices he makes, whether good or bad, wise or utterly insane, are his to deal with and his alone. In his twisted mind, his bad choices only affect him.

Still he isn't clueless. He's aware of everything and everyone around him. Just because he behaves recklessly doesn't mean he doesn't know the difference between right and wrong. Sometimes, most of the time, he just chooses to do what's wrong. But even he, who will do just about anything for pure pleasure, has a line he wouldn't dare cross. Granted, it may be a little blurred at times, but it's always there regardless of what everyone else might say and it's what sometimes helps him keep the friends that he has, and at times even create new ones. A feat that has never been difficult for him. Jaxon is as social as he is shameless. Of course having very little self-love and respect probably helps in eliminating any fear of putting yourself out there for others, which is general something found to be attractive about him. What most don't know, nor do they need to know, is that Jaxon Heize is not as self-assured and confident as he likes to have others believe. Especially after the summer's events.

Sarcasm and wit are his best friends, and yes, that is his default setting. Rarely if ever will Jaxon not have a smart-ass comment for something thrown at him. It may have gotten him into deep shit in the past (and most likely will again in the future), but it's part of the packaged deal, along with his inability to keep secrets. A cheeky bastard to the very bone, inclined to poke fun at and tease those he cares for (typically a very select few). That is usually a tell-tale sign that someone in on his radar. It comes as easily as flirting, which comes as easily as breathing. He wouldn't consider himself a player, only a playboy. He's an open book, always upfront about his "no feelings allowed in sex" policy. Fault's on those that choose to not believe he's one hundred and ten percent serious about it. He belongs and answers to no one but himself and plans on keeping it that way. Move closer at your own risk. Where Jaxon Heize walks, chaos soon follows.

✦LIKES✦
✧ Action Thrillers ✧ ↣ Jaxon is quite the movie junkie. Perhaps the only thing that can keep him sitting still and quiet for hours, and among the numerous stories he's watched, action thrillers tend to be his favorite.
✧ Sex ✧ ↣ Self explanatory. He may not be keen on romance and relationships, but there isn't a single heartache a quick toss up between the sheets won't fix, or so he says.
✧ Playing Guitar ✧ ↣ More of a hidden talent. Most don't know he's highly skilled with his fingers in more ways than one, but it sometimes serves as a bit of a getaway for him, on the very rare occasions sex does not do the trick.
✧ Strong Liquor ✧ ↣ Perhaps the only hing he's inherited from his father. He's never been a fan of sweet, fruity cocktails. If it doesn't burn all the way down then it's certainly not strong enough.
✧ Being Single ✧ ↣ Capturing the sun in a bottle might be easier than tying this one down. He very much enjoys having the liberty o do what he wants, whenever he wants and has yet to find anyone he's willing to give that up for.
✧ Children ✧ ↣ Something else very few know about him, but he's got a weakness for the little ones. If he weren't such a mess, he might have thought about being a teacher.
✧ Sour Patch Kids ✧ ↣ Sour, sweet then gone. Perhaps the most accurate description of Jaxson himself.

✧DISLIKES✧
β—† Being Alone ✦ ↣ Believe it or not, even Jaxon feels guilt, which usually comes crashing down on him when he's alone. That's something he would rather not have to face.
✦ Drama ✦ ↣ Yes, I know what you're thinking, but just because he tends to be the center of drama does not mean he enjoys it nor does he enjoy watching it. It's just a curse, really, that it follows him anywhere he goes.
✦ People that assume ✦ ↣ No, the fact that he's known for stirring trouble does not mean he's behind everything that goes wrong. People love to assume and point fingers, and who better to blame than the one that has nothing left to lose?
✦ Spicy foods ✦ ↣ It's not that he doesn't like how it tastes, in fact, he loves the lingering feeling it leaves behind, but his stomach tends to disagree. I guess it's more of a dislike for what it does to him rather than the food itself.
✦ Shopping ✦ ↣ He's quite the impatient boy who tends to get a bit restless when forced to be at a shopping mall for more than an hour. He prefers to buy things online from the comfort of his own home.
✦ The beach ✦ ↣ Not a big fan of extreme heat/ sun or salt water.

Quirks & Habits
✦✧wrinkling his nose: A habit he has had with him since he was a toddler✦✧
✦✧teasing: As mentioned before, you can't expect to know Jaxon Heize and not be teased by him. It's inevitable.✦✧
✦✧missing calls: He may be able to respond to your text in record time, but don't expect him to answer any calls. Sometimes he doesn't see them. Most of the time he just doesn't feel like answering.✦✧
✦✧sleeping naked This one explains itself✦✧

Talents | Strengths | Skills
✦✧music: Yes, Jax is very musically talented, though it's not typically something he'll show or talk about. He's an amazing guitarist, he taught himself to play the piano and his singing voice isn't all that terrible either✦✧
✦✧flexibility: All I can say is, don't challenge this one to a game of twister because you will regret it immediately.✦✧
✦✧sarcasm: According to Jaxon, it's a strength.✦✧

Flaws | Weaknesses
✦✧keeping secrets: It's no secret that when it comes to secrets with Jaxon there are none.✦✧
✦✧lack of morals: It may allow him to have more fun than most, but it also gets him into the deepest shit.✦✧
✦✧incredibly stubborn: There's no force on heaven, hell or earth that could change his mind about something he strongly believes in.✦✧

Hobbies
✦✧eating: Having a ridiculously fast metabolism means Jax can eat junk food to his heart's content. He would qualify this as a hobby because it's what he does most.✦✧
✦✧watching movies: Again, a total movie junkie.✦✧
✦✧partying: Must have seen this one coming, but how can he not when he tends to be the life of the parties?✦✧
✦✧sex: Yes it's a hobby, don't argue with him on this.✦✧

Fears
✦✧being abandoned: You'd think with a fear like this, he'd try to take better care of his friendships but✦old habits die hard✦✧
✦✧falling in love: yes it is a legitimate fear. The idea of being completely vulnerable to someone else scares him much more than he would ever admit.✦✧

Secrets
✦✧none: (see weakness number one) Any secret he could have will not remain a secret for long✦✧

Goals | Dreams
✦✧If you were to ask him directly, he'd tell you that as a kid he had many dreams and goals. He imagined himself to be big one day. Maybe travel the world as a musician, or go off into space with NASA. Now? Let's just say there's not really a thing he's willing to fight for.✦✧

✧ Arthur Heize ✧ ↣ Father ↣ Living (but dead in Jaxon's eyes)
✦ Arabelle Stavros ✦ ↣ Mother ↣ Deceased
✧ Amilia Heize ✧ ↣ Older sister ↣ Living

✦HΙͺsα΄›α΄Κ€Κβœ¦
Jaxon was born one mid-summer night among the sparklers and colorful lights to Arthur and Arabelle Heize. He was their second born, their first son, their baby boy, the apple of their eyes. At least that's what they lead others to believe. Being the youngest was both an advantage and a nightmare. It was an advantage when it came to his mother. She really did love him as much as others believed she did, never missing an opportunity to spoil him rotten. Her baby boy was perfect and could do no wrong. His father strongly disagreed.

They say one man's trash is another man's treasure. In the case of Jaxon and his parents, it was always the other way around, because that is exactly what Jaxon was to his father. Trash. He was never good enough. Always second best to and living in the shadow of his sister. Though in the public's eye, Arthur was father of the year every year. Behind closed doors there was an entirely different man, never hesitant to shower his little boy with insults while his mother and sister only watched from the sidelines.

But who really wash the trash here? A young, innocent boy or a grown ass man who spent ninety percent of his time drinking and the other ten percent being a hypocrite? It was during that ninety percent, on a late winter afternoon while the man was fed up with anything and anyone that did not agree with him, that he and his wife stepped into an argument. Disagreement led to cursing. Cursing led to insults. Insults led to screaming. Screaming led to hitting and shoving. Arthur, to this day, claims his wife took a false step, tripped and tumbled down the grand staircase to her death. Jaxon has a mother side to the story, because though his father is unaware, his big blues were watching from a distance, clearly seeing when the man's hands collided with his mother's chest, shoving her against the empty space above the stairwell, with nothing to break her fall except the tiled floor all the way at the bottom.

His sister Amelia was no where to be found, which meant that it was Jaxon's word against the murderer's. Needless to say, he decided to keep quiet. But a secret that size does wonders for the fall of one's sanity. Later, rather than sooner, the truth came tumbling out and though Amelia believed every word of it, it was too little too late. The only thing accomplished was opening up old wounds. Jaxon learned his lesson in the hardest way possible. Never keep secrets no matter how dirty. Sooner or later, it will come back to bite you in the ass.

Currently, Jaxon is living with Amelia and her husband in their condo, after having decided that putting distance between them and Arthur was the best life choice they would ever take. But regardless of how well paid Amelia and her husband are, and the countless times she assures Jaxon he is not nor will he ever be a bother, the eighteen year old still feels like an add on. Not belonging here nor there. Like life would be unchanged, unaffected, if he were to suddenly disappear. But those feelings are not befitting of the utterly handsome, attractively rude and venomous party animal and what better way to drown them out than with a few drinks and a lot of sex?

First things first
I'ma say all the words inside my head
I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been, oh
The way that things have been, oh
Second things
Second, don't you tell me what you think that I can be
I'm the one at the sail, I'm the master of my sea, oh
The master of my sea, oh

I was broken from a young age
Taking my soul into the masses
Write down my poems for the few
That looked at me took to me, shook to me, feeling me
Singing from heart ache from the pain
Take up my message from the veins
Speaking my lesson from the brain
Seeing the beauty through the

Pain
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain
You break me down, you build me up, believer, believer
Pain
I let the bullets fly, oh let them rain
My luck, my love, my God, they came from
Pain
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

Third things third
Send a prayer to the ones up above
All the hate that you've heard has turned your spirit to a dove, oh
Your spirit up above, oh

I was choking in the crowd
Living my brain up in the cloud
Falling like ashes to the ground
Hoping my feelings, they would drown
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing
Inhibited, limited
Till it broke up and it rained down
It rained down, like

Pain
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain
You break me down, you built me up, believer, believer
Pain
I let the bullets fly, oh let them rain
My luck, my love, my God, they came from
Pain
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

Last things last
By the grace of the fire and the flames
You're the face of the future, the blood in my veins, oh
The blood in my veins, oh
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing
Inhibited, limited
Till it broke up and it rained down
It rained down, like

Leave it to New York to be one of the fewest places during the summer that you don't want to be at in August. Seriously, who the hell told the weather to just drop like that?

Hey, readers, Gossip Girl here and luckily for you, Manhattan's little darlings won't let some small drop in the weather ruin the rest of their summer fun and I'm pretty sure James Airth is going to be the leader of our little motley crew in the next four hours since he's throwing a yacht party. They're disembarking from the Hamptons, so you already know to be prepared for scantily clad minors running around with alcohol they probably stole from mommy and daddy's liquor cabinets. Then again, I'm pretty sure that a lot of it was purchased with mommy and daddy's credit cards, but who am I to judge? As you all already know, I will be one of the first to order one of those succulent apple martinis because love him or hate him, but Airth's bartenders usually make the best martinis. And what will our favorite little darlings be doing in the meantime?

Well, last I checked while Sydney and The New Girl's - and yes, I do know her name, it's just so much more fun to call her The New Girl for a bit longer - parents are still on their honeymoon until the school year starts, you actually haven't seen the two together yet. In fact, you haven't seen them anywhere near each other. I wonder if we should ask Airth about that since Alaina's been getting real chummy with her and he went bowling with those two the other day. And believe it or not, Katherine Arnault is back in town. I know, I know - she just dropped off of the face of the planet and without either of her besties, Alexis or Sydney, at that. Isn't she like, their little lapdog or something? Then again, sweetie's been caught in the worst divorce ever since neither of her girls are talking and isn't Alexis just coming back from vacay? Or are we still not ready to just call it what it probably was, which was rehab? Or damage control? I'm sure we can all find something we can agree upon when referring to our now crown-less diva. Nevertheless, while I myself am getting ready for this yacht party and the jacuzzi that you all know I'm gonna stay in, let's see what our little lovelies can get themselves in to in the meantime.

Unlike a number of his classmates, friends and associates, Tristan didn't have the luxury of just being able to enjoy his summer in whatever way that he wanted to. He probably wouldn't have been able to do much in the first place, regardless since neither of his parents had been able to take off of work for them to have much of a vacation, but he definitely hadn't been able to just sit back and relax all summer. Every summer and during weekend shifts if he had the time, he worked at a Publix supermarket in Downtown Brooklyn. He probably could have done a lot more; it was something his mother always pointed out. He could probably charge the rich students at St. Jude's or even at Constance for his tutoring services since they more than likely could afford it as opposed to just being given such services for free. But life was life and he appreciated having a job he always knew he could depend upon, especially one with decent benefits like with Publix. At least he could trust, if God forbid he didn't get the scholarships he would need for college, them to help out when it was time for him to go off to school. It also worked in his favor that one of the general managers lived a few houses down from him and could give him rides home when his shifts ran a little late on non-school weeks.

By the time Tristan had gotten James' text, he was ending his eight forty-five to one forty-five shift. It wasn't as long as he liked, especially considering the pay, but it was satisfactory enough. Especially pay day had been yesterday, which meant that he currently didn't feel poor. It was easy to walk around not feeling the weight of how much more wealthier his classmates were than him by projecting the same dignified air that they did; it was invigorating to actually feel like he had something, even if it was nowhere near the magnitude of their parents' bank accounts. And to be able to say that, unlike his peers, Tristan made his own money and didn't exactly have to always answer about what he spent it on was the greatest feeling. He changed out of his work uniform and into some casual clothes, sliding his shades before whipping his phone back out to text James back, lingering on the message from Gossip Girl.

To: James
Just dont forget who got laid dat nite Image also when u gonna introduce me 2 da new gurl?? Cuz GG got pics of her n i'll smash if u dont

While there were a lot of people who were tired of Gossip Girl's antics, what Tristan wouldn't do was lie and say that he wasn't intrigued by the page, the information it provided, and also the situations its content always grudged up. Even if the drama the posts alluded to weren't exactly as big as GG wanted everyone to believe, it never failed that someone made their situation worse, which meant a cat-fight or more rumors. And far more entertainment for Tristan than he sometimes knew what to do with. The kids that he rolled with - the ones he sat in classes with or in that one favorite lunch spot during the school year that you could always catch a St. Jude and a Constance kid at - could all pretend that their prestige and wealth shielded them from any and everything, even their own antics. Yet, somehow or another, they allowed themselves to be toyed with by an anonymous writer who just knew them. Knew their lovers and real friends, their fake friends and addictions - just knew everything. And it was invigorating for Tristan, realizing that there was so much dirt to be found out. It made him feel less inferior, like they were definitely more like him and any other regular kid on the street than they probably would want. So, he had no shame in checking Gossip Girl every day and laughing to himself about what was written for that day. Chuckling lightly, Tristan was about to tuck his phone away when his stomach grumbled, so he figured he could grab an actual bite to eat since he didn't need to be worried about James' party just yet. And he could always hit up a late lunch with friends, particularly Jax who he didn't hesitate to text. Besides, who turned down Johnny's Pizzeria?

To: Jax
Yo im headed to johnnys 4 sum mozzarella stix. U in?

His summer may have been more eventful than most, but not eventful enough. Not for Jaxon Heize, who thrived on having so much to do he can hardly breathe. Mr. Busy body was not quite as busy as previous summers and it made him restless. Sure, he kept up his usual schedule booze and sex, but what else was there? It was dramatically boring to say the least, but what summer wouldn't be after what had happened the one before? Of which the aftermath is still lurking around. And with the return of Gossip Girl, it was much too easy for his name to boomerang from mouth to mouth. It might as well have been up on Billboards, written in shimmery lights and all it's glamour, because as much as people pretended not to care nor believe what the notorious Gossip Girl said, they sure as hell knew things down to the very detail. Jaxon, on the other hand, knew what he was involved in and nothing more, nor did he ever care to know about other people's petty dilemmas. Yet someone, and ironically enough, someone always managed to involve him. Because really, who else could they put the shame on other than the shameless?

Which is why when he was so rudely accused of releasing the sex tape with miss Alexis ex-royalty Leon, he hadn't even bothered to defend himself. What for? If there is one thing Jaxon Heize has always been known for is doing as he pleases, when he pleases, simply because it pleases him. He wasn't going to apologize for that. Had he enjoyed sleeping with Alexis? Well, let's just say he'd be a fat ass liar if he said he hadn't. SHould he have slept with her? No, probably not. Especially considering her history with his former friend, who was now blocking him out entirely based on his own twisted perception of what happened. It didn't matter that Jaxon hadn't been the one to release the recordings of their one nigh stand, because everyone and their mamas were convinced that he did and who's to try and convince them otherwise. You know what they say; If life gives you lemons, grab some tequila and salt.

After a while, most either moved on to something bigger and better or simply lost interest, looking for new and fresh gossip. But some, not to state names but a certain ex-royalty and a grudge-holding teen dad, made it quite clear that they hadn't moved on. Unlike Jaxon, who really let bygones be bygones in order to have a good rest of the summer. He fully intended on going to James' annual yacht party later tonight, complete with pregame and all the works. Unlike Valentino, James still acknowledged Jaxon's existence. "Alright, I think she's good to go!" the blonde announced, pushing himself from underneath the 1972 Mercedes Benz he'd been working on for over an hour now. An old piece of junk, but still salvageable. He tapped the faded red paint of the hood a few times and watched with a proud smirk as his boss Mark started the engine, bringing the lifeless pile of metal back to life. "A real miracle." the older man clapped as he stepped out of the vintage vehicle. Jaxon exhaled a chuckle. "It's called skill, last I checked." Jax has always loved mechanics, with cars especially. Second to music, it's his favorite pastime. That's really all this job is, anyway. It's not like he needs the money, but it keeps him busy and useful.

"Alright, alright. Don't get too cocky now." Mark warned before sending him home for the day. Not that he planned on being home for long, possibly only long enough to figure out where to next. Given he didn't find something on his way there, which he did. Or rather, the something found him. His bright blues scanned over Tristan's message, barely reading the words before typing out a response.

To: James
Rlly?? Dude did u leave or sumthing??

It wouldn't have occurred to Dinah that James was actually still in the house and just refusing to have her inside. She wasn't aware that he was that shitty just yet, just absentminded and careless. It would make sense to her brain that perhaps he wasn't there, which was why the guard said no one was allowed to be buzzed in, and not because James was actually inside with Sydney, and didn't want to have his girlfriend go off on him. He hadn't read her first message from what she could see, so Dinah had nothing else to go off of in this situation. It didn't, however, not make something drop in the pit of her stomach, an uneasiness that had her not responding to Alaina in the way that she would have prior to the current series of events.

To: Alaina
nvrmind. its nothing. ill c u tn

Dinah wasn't what one would call a particularly emotional person and something like this was not bound, in any way, to make her cry. But it was a stark reminder that this wasn't her home, her people, and these were not her friends. She already had known that, but severity of that knowledge had only slowly begun to permeate her consciousness. She wasn't an overly self-conscious person. Dinah didn't spend her life faltering in her steps nor being weighed down by what she called unnecessary insecurities. There wasn't going to be another person who looked exactly like her, so why be ashamed of her darker complexion and natural hair? Or even not being as skinny as some of her other friends have been? But all of those were superficial insecurities she learned to shove away. This was new. This was a sense of belonging and she hadn't fully gotten that since being in New York. New York had just been an interesting place to visit whenever her father brought her along or her grandmother decided she wanted to see snow in a different place than on the West Coast. New York had always been a stop on the map, but never a permanent location...until now. And it wasn't Dinah's location. And she hadn't been confronted with that fact so much as she had been in this one moment where someone she thought was a friend dissed her. She didn't know for a fact that James had just dissed her, but it felt like it.

But again, Dinah wasn't an overly emotional person. Even though she felt the random, sharp sting at the back of her eyes, she released a heavy breath and shrugged to Greg in a what-can-you-do-manner. Besides, the situation was a reminder that she need not "Guess I'm shit outta luck," she shrugged, not really expecting an answer. The older guy, more than likely in his early thirties, gave her an apologetic and patient look. He was nice and he hadn't even been in Dinah's presence for too long for her to know it, but she felt it in his kind blue gaze. "So, what do you want to do, Miss Irving?" Dinah quirked her lips in consideration, phone already having notified her of Kat's text while she was looking up shops nearby to entertain herself with. "Cold Stones?" Greg's answering grin made Dinah smile just as brightly.

As soon as he had sent his text out to Jaxon, Tristan was already summoning an Uber. He knew that the bus or train could have aided in his travels, but there was something about waiting for them - especially since he didn't feel like being disappointed by the online schedule at that particular moment - when he was already hungry that didn't sit right with him. Besides, as he had figured it would be, it wasn't time for surge pricing just yet, so he was willing to pay the four dollars and fifty five cents to get to Johnny's. Johnny's was worth it anyway and he probably would've went even if Jax hadn't agreed to be down for the cause. It just so happened that the blonde was and who was Tristan to not want some company while he chowed down on some mozzarella sticks?

To: Jax
C u soon

On the way, Tristan laughed to himself about James' current desire to be the good guy. It was honestly laughable. As a person already filed under the category of shitty guys that girls still wanted to get with despite knowing that they were shitty, James was higher up on the list than he obviously wanted to believe or acknowledge. The dude could still get some ass, that much was certain. Regardless of how much they wanted to be mad about being used and all that, the same girls who would whine to their crew one day were the same ones thirsting after the exact same kind of guys that hurt them before, knowing damn well the guys were drawn to formulating friendships with one another for a reason. Shittiness attracts/begets/whatever-word-you-wanna-use shittiness, that was how Tristan rationalized it. So, it was laughable that James could honestly tell himself that he was all for Sydney now after the shit they had been through. Tristan was a lot of things, but the one thing he had never been was the person who had cheated on someone. Granted, his only real relationship had been with Alexis, but it had never occurred to him to step out on someone. He might currently be one of the guys girls were convinced that they could step out on their significant others with, but he didn't do the cheating, mostly because he didn't delude himself into thinking that he was for relationships at the moment. Tristan honestly saw it all crashing and burning for James in the future when it came to Sydney. But he was going to take this "permission" to go after Dinah as what it was. Eventually, Tristan had arrived at Johnny's and got a table by the window, not even hesitating to go ahead and order himself both french fries and mozzarella sticks, and a Sprite.

Okay, so lovelies, the reason that I absolutely love yacht parties isn't even the opulence of the ships. It's not the margaritas, though I will tell you that these apple margaritas are literally to die for!! What I love so much is that there's literally no place to run. On land, you always have the option of leaving. You're upset? Someone stepped on your Jimmy Choos? You found out that Ashley has totally been making out with Jake behind your back even though she swore that she didn't because she knew you were just waiting on making your move on him? You get to leave. You get to about face and run all the way home to mommy and daddy, and cry into your Egyptian cotton and wait for the next day to pretend like nothing had ever happened. Your reputation remains pristine. With yacht parties, as fun as they are, the drama is even more fun because you have nowhere to go. Oh, you can go on another part of the ship. You can even hope and pray that one of the state rooms are still available so you can blow off some steam. But at the end of the day, more than likely, they're not available and like or not, the person you don't like is going to be in the same vicinity as you. And I am forever living for the insurmountable possibilities that situations like these can bring!

Nevertheless, it's been about an hour or so since the good charmer Jim Jam - come on, you all were thinking it too - had us all set sail and I don't know guys...the party's great and all, but don't things feel a bit...tense? Maybe because the good sis Alexis Leon surprised everyone by showing up tonight and looking mighty fine. One might even say she makes for a better blonde than Queen S...of course, one would say that if they weren't deathly afraid of getting their eyes scratched out. Then again, I'm pretty sure the host isn't having too good of a day either. I mean, I know it's not a big deal cuz she's new and not really as important because she hasn't really done anything - and I'm in serious need of the entertainment if she's gonna do something - but new girl definitely swerved him. That's the word, right? I'm not exactly hip to all this young people linguo. But anyway, that definitely happened and it might not seem like much, but not many girls - or any, to be quite honest - swerve the good charmer. And I'm sorry, but if I see a girl put her finger up at him of all guys so that he can't say a word, and then proceed to walk away without giving him the time of day. And go out on the dance floor and dance with - out of everyone - the player?? I'm of the right mind to speculate that something juicy's probably gonna pop off. Maybe she got tired of playing the other woman?? I'm also not so sure, but I honestly could've sworn I saw Alaina and Katherine coming out of a building in Manhattan together earlier today. Is the old queen's return the only thing the new queen's gotta worry about? Cuz I spy with my little eye a possible new bestie for baby Arnault. But I could be wrong...we'll just have to see.

Only one hour or so into the party and Jaxon was already on his fourth Gin n’ Tonic of the night. What fun is a party if you have complete control over what you do and say? Besides, it had been a while since he had been to one of these and god did he miss it. The chaos, the underage drinking, and what would most definitely come later. His own private party with some brave someone in one of the empty bedrooms. He had already been extremely close to selecting his β€œvictim for the night”, as his sister would so kindly word it, had it not been for her boyfriend coming to claim her. Dude tried to blame Jaxon, but how was he to know the petite brunette was already spoken for? She gave zero indications, in fact, had the man taken a few minutes longer she would have already been on her way to what would be the best night of her life. Not that it mattered now, Jax had moved on almost instantly. His eyes roamed the area for a familiar face. He saw several, in fact, but not the one he was looking for. Considering James was not a difficult person to spot, Jaxon assumed he wasn’t anywhere near by. He did, however, spot another face that caught his attention. Goddess-like figure and cat eyes focused on who would most likely become her next target. A sly smirk worked its way onto Jaxon’s face while he cautiously made his way over and closing in behind her, making sure not to be spotted in the process. ”How many shots will it take to get you out that dress?”. Jaxon made sure to move uncomfortably close, lowering his voice to the point of not being recognizable with the intention of making the girl think she’d just been felt up and hit on by some stranger coming from across the room. There was no purpose behind it, other than very purposely pissing her off.

Cali wasn't in a great mood. Elena ended up canceling on her again and this party had yet to prove it wasn't a total dud. She stood, her lips twisted into an unimpressed scowl. She scrolled on her phone, looking up every now and then through irritated eyes. She looked down again, swiping through Instagram, nearly gagging when she came across a thirst trap of her dad that Gabe posted.
Disgusted, she threw her phone into her clutch and looked around the crowd. There was no one of particular interest. Everyone within her sight was dull and boring wearing dull and boring clothes. She rolled her eyes and sighed. If they weren't stuck on a boat, Cali would have dipped about ten minutes ago and tried to hit up a club.

”How many shots will it take to get you out that dress?”

Some braindead dude-bro came up from behind her with the audacity to breathe his stank ass breath against the back of her neck. "Get your fucking Snorlax looking ass awa-" She spun around, her hand cocked back to smack the shit out of the stupid donkey that thought he could just grab her. When she saw it was Jax, her snarl melted into a small smile. "Oh." She shook her head, snickering. "You dumb ass. I was ready to knock your head off." She turned and leaned up against him, pressing her back into him. "This party sucks. If something interesting doesn't happen soon, I'm going to snort broken glass."

A hearty laugh escaped the blonde as he watched the girl’s reaction unfold, exactly as he expected it would. He'd even braced himself for the smack he knew she had been preparing to throw. There were very few things that Jaxon enjoyed more than annoying the hell out of Cali, because no matter what he did he knew he would be forgiven instantly. ”Does it really suck or are you just too demanding?” he teased, his arm resting on her shoulder for a fraction of a minute before sliding his hand down to hers and shifting himself around to face her. The playful smirk Jaxon has come to be known for very poised on his lips. ”Why don't you let me fix that for you?”. The empty glass in his hand was placed on a nearby counter as he graciously led her to the dance floor. He may not be the best dancer around, but he was tipsy enough not to care. Not that he did care even when sober, but it's always easier to blame wrongdoings on the effects of alcohol. ”So you're telling me…” he inched closer, his hands resting on her hips. ”That there's not a single pretty face that has caught your attention tonight?”

Cali shrugged. "It's not my fault that things don't reach my standards." She smiled to herself as she felt Jax's warmth against her. It was comforting having him. Sure, she had friends, but she knew there was a select few that she could rely on. Jax, for all his faults, was one of them.
She rolled her eyes but concealed a small smile as he pulled her to the dance floor. Cali pressed herself against him, gently placing her hands over his as he grabbed her hips. She allowed him to control the rhythm at first, but it was only natural for the girl to take it from him, seizing control of their pace and swaying.

”So you're telling me...That there's not a single pretty face that has caught your attention tonight?”
Cali looked around. Of course she knew she was surrounded by the young, the rich, and the beautiful, but she was familiar with most of their faces. There was nothing new or exciting about any of them. Most were the same bland blondes and jock straps that had had tormented her in her weaker days. She turned her head, looking up at Jax and placing her face in the crook of his neck. She whispered into his ear, her voice sensual and soft. "Everyone here looks like a goblin with fetal alcohol syndrome."

Cali spun around, a sharp smirk on her lips. She locked her hands behind Jax's neck. She pressed her chest against his abdomen, making sure to give a good peek down her neckline. "But, I guess you're the least hideous right now."
Jaxon’s response came in stages. First an amused huff, followed by a soft chuckle, and finally a laugh, genuine and just as charming as its owner. ”Well, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more honored.” his words dripped with sarcasm as he used his hand to keep her body close. Close enough to cross the β€œfriends” line. He let her take control of his body, if only for the time being, and swayed along to the music. ”But you gotta be more open minded. What if your soulmate somewhere on this boat?” he teased, one brow cocked in her direction.

He knew well enough that Cali, much like himself, didn’t believe in all the soulmate nonsense everyone always fantasized about. At least as far as he knew. If there was one thing the two had in common, it was their stable instability. Their lack of keeping any form of relationship at bay. Perhaps it was a testament to why they got along so well. ”In fact you should be out there looking for them. Don’t miss your chance” with that, his feet came to a halt. His hands swiftly untangled themselves from hers as he took a step back. He leaned in only close enough to poise his lips right beside her ear and half-whispered- ”You’ll come back to me soon enough.” -before stepping past her and merging with the small crowd. There’s no certainty of who would go back to who, but there’s no denying the fact that the two would find each other again before the night was over.

β€œWha-” Cali’s brow furrowed as Jax left her. Β β€œOh okay, fine.” As she watched his bleached head bob away into a sea of fabric and flesh, a scowl returned to her face. β€œSuck my dick!” She shouted after Jax. She turned, storming to the bar. She leaned against the counter and tapped her fingers against the surface. Cali looked at the bartender, a cold determination in her eyes. β€œGet me whatever will fuck me up the fastest.”
