The Undercover Elite
Iris is what you called the ‘quirky’ girl. She prefers the funny and out of the box crowd, than others. Iris can be social, when she has to be, but she is also cautious around certain people. She understands that, she would be made fun of, or even isolated if she said or did the wrong things. This angers Iris. She feels that no matter who you are, where you live, or how much your parents make, shouldn’t determine your status at the school. Iris isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in, even if it doesn‘t come out the way she wants to. Her quick tongue has gotten her in trouble before, and it will continue to do so. She also has a quick temper. Sadly, she won’t take her anger out on the people that caused the problems, but her family instead. Besides that, Iris is a sweet, funny, carefree, loving individual and if you are in need of a great friend, she should be at the top of the list.
The one thing Iris can’t live without is her Iphone. She worked to hard to earn to money herself, for it not to be her prized possession. Another prized possession of hers is a bracelet her father gave to her. It has a little heart shaped locket and a little taste tube connected to the links. Iris keeps rubber bands on her wrist, just in case the one in her hairs pops.
Born on January 4, to Kyle Hartman and Nicole James Hartman. She is the oldest of two kids and the only girl. Iris’s father is chef in one of Brooklyn’s most famous restaurants. While, her mother works as a Japanese professor at Brooklyn College. Iris didn't realive this until she was older, but both her parents made a considerable amount of money. She was shooked to see that the money didn't go to their heads. With that in mind, Iris knew she wouldn't let that happen to her either. She wanted to make it to the top, and not have to flash her money to do so.
Iris is proud of her family, and they always try to push her to do her best. However, she feels that her younger brother, Logan, could do better. They have never seen I eye to eye and that would never change. She would make slick comments on how she took all the brains from the gene pool, while he took all the muscles. They would get into little fights, which in once case had Iris having to defend herself. Hopefully, deep down they will get along, or not kill one another. One day Logan made a bold suggestion to their parents. He wanted to attend a elite private school. He presented a terribly wonderful case, to Iris's disbelief.
Mr. and Mrs. Hartman decided that they would enrolled not only Logan, but Iris into the school as well. Iris felt sick to her stomach. She was content with going to a regular public school and then going off to a simple college. However, that didn't seem to work in her favor at all. Her parents explained to her that she could and would have a easier chance at the 'real' world. They sat her down and tried to talk with her, but she wouldn't have it. In the end, Logan got what he wanted and Iris had to pay the price for it.
Iris wants to become a famous forensic scientist, and she felt that she could do that by having good grades and living a simple life. Now she has been dropped into the world of the elite, and she doesn’t know if she can handle it. She doesn’t want her family life to be judged, or belittled by students who think money and class standings are everything.
