Gary Stocker

An amazing detective with supernatural abilities

0 · 297 views · located in Paradise

a character in “Greater Than Demons”, as played by Juvenile-River

Description

Gary has long red hair with a pony tail, green eyes, and pale skin. He likes to dress professionally. Even at home, he rarely puts on a T-shirt. He's tall and very thin.

Personality

He doesn't smile very much, and he has a very dry sense of humor. He takes everything seriously and handles almost every situation in a business-type of manor. He is a strong skeptic of the supernatural world, both of God and of angels. But recently, what his eyes have seen are beginning to change his opinions.

Despite his detached personality, he does show much affection for his wife and children. There is nothing more important to him than his family.

Equipment

Gary possesses the power of telekinesis (i.e.: he can move objects with his mind), and he can read the usually minds of other humans very well (this works better if the one whose mind is being read doesn't realize their mind is being read). The latter power, however, doesn't work on angels or demons. His telekinesis can also work on people and angels, but living things can be harder to move when they squirm.

History

Gary is a professional detective, the best of the division, and arguably the best in the world. It certainly doesn't hurt that he can use his mind reading abilities to force people to share their secrets with him, but he can't rely too heavily on his ability. He thinks it best not to tell others on the force about his ability, but even if they knew, they couldn't convict anybody simply because some detective claimed to hear somebody's thoughts. This is where his attention to detail comes in handy in gathering tangible evidence.

Gary has a wife (Carol) and two kids (Mary [15 years] and Stu [10 years]). Stu, sadly, has a terrible disease that threatens his life. He spends a lot of time in the hospital, and he doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Recently, Gary has starting seeing some strange things. Invisible people with wings and amazing power. Understandably, this causes him a lot of concern. He doesn't know if he can believe his eyes, or if he's going crazy. He hasn't told anyone about this yet, not even his wife. He'd rather keep quiet and pretend he doesn't see anything.

So begins...
