At a glance, nothing seen in tiny, sunshine-ball Oliver Sinclaire instills fear. But once that smiling facade falls, he's quite a sight to behold.
Oliver's size represents nothing more than his adolescence. As a vampire, he possesses incredible strength, speed, and reflexes. He can also take one hell of a beating, as his body is immune to most methods of killing someone dead. Oliver's inhuman speed is what gave him his codename: Quicksilver. Taken from his quick attack style and the silver daggers he fights with (and maybe also a certain superhero).

"Mama said it's uphill for oddities- but don't ever change."
Unfortunately, Oliver is also really dumb. He's impulsive and has little to no common sense that isn't combat-related. This leads to him sometimes making rash decisions and walking straight into danger. Moments like these highlight just how young he really is- he may be damn near invincible, but he's still a child, and he needs guidance.
Aside from this particular fault, Oliver really is the best friend a person could have- if you aren't an introvert, that is. He's loyal to a fault and will gladly follow anyone who doesn't immediately show they're untrustworthy. This does make him a bit gullible, but once you've broken his trust, it's broken forever- Oliver doesn't give second chances.
Oliver is brutally honest, a little too dumb to understand when to shut up. He's a horrible liar and horrible at keeping secrets, but those things mean you know he's always telling the truth. And while he can be a bit insensitive at times, he'll always apologize the minute he realizes he's made a mistake. Sometimes you just need to point it out to him.
All in all, Oliver is a good kid, with a kind heart and a booming personality. He's easy to read and easy to please, and once you've earned his loyalty, he'll never leave your side. Well, so long as you don't act like a gigantic douchebag.

⤠Oliver's main strength is the power granted by his vampire transformation. He is incredibly strong, resilient, and nearly invincible. He can take one hell of a beating and is quite the opponent in a fight. These powers are fairly self-explanatory, though, and not particularly unique, in Oliver's mind.
ELEMENTAL FIRE MAGIC
⤠Fire magic is where Oliver's passion lies. He's had fire magic for as long as he can remember, and he's all but mastered the art of using it, except when his emotions are thrown into the mix. Oliver's magic is fueled by mana, and is made stronger when he's emotional- whether angry or excited or simply passionate about a battle. He can control his fire, he just often chooses not to worry about it when he's in a fight, since the objective is usually to burn his opponent anyways. His fire comes from within him and does not catch or spread, and it's only hot to the touch if Oliver wishes it to be.
VAMPIRE PHYSIOLOGY
⤠Being turned into a vampire comes with a lot of pros and cons. As a vampire, Oliver is almost invincible, as he can only be killed by one specific thing: a wooden stake to the heart. He can be injured, but it takes him quite a while to get to that point. Oliver doesn't get tired. He doesn't get hungry. Unfortunately, this means that Oliver can't eat or sleep, even if he wanted to. Organic matter turns to ash in his mouth and his body physically cannot sleep the way a normal human body would. Oliver will also no longer age past sixteen, meaning he'll outlive almost everyone he knows, eventually.
⤠Oliver can only consume human blood as sustenance, and if he goes too long without feeding, his body starts to break down, similar to a starving human. The main difference is that, as his body deteriorates, his mental faculties also do, making him unpredictable and far more dangerous.

Grimm is all Oliver has ever really known, much like many younger members. He grew up learning to fight and control his magic, and he advanced up the ranks at a normal pace for a fairly low-level fairy. He lived on base with his parents, made friends easily, and failed often in classes- even as his power increased, he was never exceptional. Just average.
And then, during his first mission as a Rank Four, everything went to shit in Oliver's world.
It was a simple containment mission. Nothing seemed particularly dangerous. But the fairy they were tasked with containing was far more powerful than HQ had assumed. Oliver was the only one who come out of the mission alive, and it wasn't without injury.
Oliver's condition wasn't properly assessed until he had already lost himself to thirst, and by that time his parents were long dead. In the year and a half since, Oliver has thrown himself into training, desperate to gain control over his vampire abilities, and he's been successful, mostly. He's slowly opening up to people again, if only to hide his guilt.
