Personality (100 words minimum, 300 words maximum): When Jonathan was younger he was one of the most immature and childish kids you could have met. He had loads of friends which he was always with and would do all kinds of stupid and weird things. Along with his sister, Sarah, they would go everywhere. The Darkholme siblings were inseparable. One day, when Jonathan was being very childish and scaring his sister she stepped back and tripped over the banister on the balcony and fell to her death. For a while, Jonathan was emotionless but after his life got back together a little he changed dramatically. He became quite blunt and sarcastic and also his stoic and self-possessed nature made him seem a little insensitive at times but he had a hidden gentleness for those he trusted. Because of how down to Earth and grounded he is it is hard to get a smile from him but when he does smile it one that can light up a room. He doesn’t hurt people without a reason but don’t give him one for you will be signing your own death warrant.
Equipment: Death note messenger bag, his laptop, three books, his sketch pad (plus pencil and pen obviously), his Ipod and headphones.

History (150 words minimum, 350 words minimum): Jonathan had a pretty normal life until his sister was born as his mother, whom he loved dearly, died at childbirth with her. It was a little awkward after this. Until Sarah was six Jonathan had kept his distance, talking mainly only to his older sister unless he had to talk to ‘her’ as she was called by him. Finally, this ended and they began to act like a regular brother and sister should. After this, they were almost inseparable. They went almost everywhere together and if anything happened to either of them, the other would deal with it. For example: the time that Sarah was getting bullied. Jonathan had stepped in and took down the kids bullying her and it never happened again in that school.
A couple of years later, Jonathan was being very childish, scaring his sister. She stepped back and fell over the balcony and fell to her death. Nothing went right after this. Jonathan’s father began to drink more often and became an alcoholic. He had always blamed Jonathan for his daughter’s death. Jonathan’s father began abusing him and it was not until a couple of years later that, after their father had gotten really drunk and tried to kill his only son, Jonathan’s older sister, Madeleine, stepped in and nearly hospitalized her father.
They ran away and lived with their aunt in Japan. Not long after he started to go to Yasogami High in Inaba. This is where he obtained his crystal…
