Description

Silbahkest
I am the soul of my elven partner, the tempest to destroy our enemies, and when our enemies are felled ... I have the wrath to keep them that way.

Image

Age
110 Years Old, Still just a Juvenile

Appearance
Dragon Type: Wind
Scale Type: Metallic
Color: Silver
Eyes: Ice Blue Image
Build: Quadrupedal with two main wings. Size is Medium to Large as he stands at 11ft tall on four legs. Please refer to sizing chart.
Height: 11 ft on four legs (not including spread wings just to the top of his head). 21ft on two legs.
Weight: 3.2 tons or roughly 6,579 pounds. Just a bit over a large car.
Length: 30 feet from nose to tail, body length is approximately 18 ft as his tail is relatively shorter than most dragons and accounts for the other 12ft.
Voice Raspy and the roar is similar to that of a screech with a deep undertone.
Unique Body Features The scales are not all the same size, they form like armor and when he sheds his skin sometimes the scale reform differently.

"Silbahkest is a four legged dragon with a pair of widely spreading wings. Its skin is plated with metal that makes weapons bounce off without enough sharpness. Silbahkest has numerous horns lining its head and sharp claws on each of its legs. Silbahkest possesses large wings proportional to his body. He uses these to sail effortlessly in the air. It can hover several feet off the ground and blast enemies with wind based breath attacks. Although Silbahkest has tough, metal filled skin, he suffers from a severe weakness to poison, which can easily enter the bloodstream through cracks created in the skin. Silbahkest must occasionally (every five years to perfectly keep peak condition) shed his trademark skin. This can easily be spotted as the once shining silver scales will rust over due to oxidation with air. Silbahkest will simply find a safe place, break through the old skin, and then fly away as the skin underneath will harden the instant it comes in contact with air. It is believed that the type of ores that dragons like him eat have some relationship to its metal skin and the size of the dragon itself. For example, if a dragon species such as himself eats more Iron or Machalite ore, it is usually large in size. By eating rarer ores such as Dragonite or Carbalite ore, a tougher metal skin is produced, but with the price of the dragon being smaller. It also has a great resistance to the elements because of its armor; however they probably are great conductors of electricity which becomes a great weakness." - As written in the archives and documented by an observer.

Lexallin

"Thank you.....for all you do for him."

Lexallin felt the sting of these words radiating from Sabarya. Lexallin did all she could to ease the pain of Grail, but had abandoned the pain of this fellow elf. She gently placed her hand on the shoulder of the protective spirit partner and felt Sabarya's blood jump from beneath her skin. That's when she saw the first image. Just a bright flash of a memory that didn't belong to herself. Lexallin quickly yanked her hand from the girls shoulder, startled by the event.

She nodded to Sabarya, unable to use comforting words. She glanced at Ah'Sah, feeling more at peace. It surprised her really. The way that with a simple glance her own blood stopped jumping. She started to blush, and knelt down toward the wounded dragon once again, trying to mask this new found vulnerability.

The next thing she heard was the voices. They were soft yet loud, as if one was listening to a conversation from inside a bubble. The words were rounded enough to hear them clearly, even with the bubbling noise above it. Lexallin put her head down trying to get rid of the awful sensation to little avail. She figured that she was only tired and she- there was hissing. Ah'Sah's dragon stood tall angry with something lexallin hadn't wrapped her mind around yet.

"Crap. I let my shields down.. " Lexallin stood to find the source of the strange voice as an elf walked into sight. He was nervous, his blood was racing as he spoke. "I came a decent ways to.." He paused wondering if it okay to tell them about the village and the mission. "See if any other villages were attacked. I am a scout looking for information, that's all. I won't attempt to fight any of you at the moment."

"Your thoughts are rude." Lexallin said as she made her way around Grail and stood semi-in front of Ah'Sah. "At the moment isn't a very peaceful introduction now is it." She felt her body heat rising as she spoke. "No offense, I don't truly care whether you believe you are stronger, faster, more skilled, whatever. If you bleed you're my elvin Xhan. She stood defensively not even two inches from the new elf's face. She didn't like him and his menacing thoughts. The way he carried himself with such arrogance. That is when she saw him glance at Sabarya. His attraction to her fluttered with his heart beat, making Lexallin feel bad. She calmed down to speak softly, " I am Lexallin, that is Ah'Sah, and Sabarya." She then motioned to the dragons. "Silbahkest is Ah'Sah's spirit partner, Zythil is mine, and Grail is Sabarya's." She smiled at the new elf, trying to welcome him with as little hostility as possible, which she found harder than she thought. She turned to Zythil, laughing at herself for getting so angry as Zythil gets pensive. She abandoned her defensive position around the group, and managed her way toward Zythil, petting her softly when she stopped. "As for the beast, it fought like none other but eventually fell to Silbahkest. Grail was wounded severely but is stable now." She looked to Ah'Sah for acceptance of her spoken word.

Ah'Sah looked at Lexallin as she worked her magic on Grail. Then, a male elf came out of the trees to the side of them, hands raised. He spoke some words, but Ah'Sah wasn't entirely convinced, as he'd mentioned something about not fighting them "at the moment." Ah'Sah stood as Lexallin did, though she stood somewhat in front of him and spat words at the elf. Ah'Sah pushed past her slightly, standing partially in front of her. "I am Lexallin, that is Ah'Sah, and Sabarya." She motioned at the dragons. "Silbahkest is Ah'Sah's spirit partner, Zythil is mine, and Grail is Sabarya's." Ah'Sah looked at her, and she was smiling slightly, which Ah'Sah could tell was hard for her to manage in the presence of this new elf. "As for the beast, it fought like none other but eventually fell to Silbahkest. Grail was wounded severely but is stable now." Lexallin looked at Ah'Sah, possibly searching for some sort of acceptance. He nodded softly.

Ah'Sah stepped up to the new elf. "You said that that thing is what you came for, and you were sent to see if any other villages were attacked?" He paused for a moment, pondering. "That means there's more than just this one. What is their goal?" Ah'Sah's attention had moved from the new elf to his thoughts, and he began pacing, pouring over his own ideas as to what exactly was happening.

Tahlis Aerlynquis

Image

Tahlis stared down at the docile-appearing female elf. Although he was surprised to see so much spirit from the female, he didn't show it on his face. Instead he remained silent and unmoving, allowing her to berate him. He felt only mild annoyance and his fingers twitched with the urge to put her in her place. However, he had been raised to cherish women and wouldn't dare lay his hands on her unless attacked first. He didn't get a chance to regret his decision when Ah'Sah brushed past her to take up point position. Tahlis didn't spare the blonde elf a glance however although he had noted his stance. When she finally seemed to lose steam she introduced herself and the others. He carefully marked each other with their respective names and relationships and then dismissed her hostility with a huff as she walked over to the smaller dragon of the trio. He wasn't concerned about being attacked if she were prepared to be so open. Nevertheless, he was still guarded.

"I see." He stated, not naming himself just yet. He didn't feel like he could trust them just yet. "As for the beast, it fought like none other but eventually fell to Silbahkest. Grail was wounded severely but is stable now." She spoke, looking to Ah'Sah for something. Ah'Sah responded with accepting glance and Tahlis raised a brow at the exchange. Was Ah'Sah the leader here? Tahlis eyed him uncomfortably before shrugging off the thought.

Ah'Sah stepped up to the new elf. "You said that that thing is what you came for, and you were sent to see if any other villages were attacked?" He paused for a moment, pondering. "That means there's more than just this one. What is their goal?" Ah'Sah began pacing, seeming to connect all of his ideas. Tahlis didn't move, remaining still as a statue except for the slow movement of his chest from breathing. His eyes followed Ah'Sah before he shifted his attention to Sabarya. She huddled near the fallen green dragon, withdrawn into herself. Tahlis wondered if she would be okay before deigning to answer Ah'Sah. "You don't need me to figure out the first part." He stalled, walking over to the crushed grass and sludgy flesh strewn about. He peered down at what was left of the monster. It was shredded and strangely enough the smell of decay wasn't entirely overwhelming. He didn't dare touch the rotted meat. "As for a goal.." He paused, tilted his head to scrutinize a strange part of the monster. "It could be revenge. Anger. I don't know for sure. Maybe some elf decided taking matters into her own hands was worth the time. Raised the dead, made the owners go after the elves, and from there I suppose the elf would expect distrust and chaos to spread. It wouldn't take much time either. However, that's just an idea. Could be a disease. It's all just speculation at this point. I mean, why would a dragon rise from the dead and attack their spirit bond partners. Rather, any elf at all. " Tahlis finished and stood, stepping away from the debris with a disgusted frown.

Tahlis edged around the grow carefully and reached the fallen green dragon. He briefly analyzed the wounds from a distance before moving closer to the woman, glancing at the other elves in warning. He slowly crouched beside her but didn't touch her. He didn't want to disturb her grieving process. Tahlis just wanted her to know he was here. It was an odd feeling but he felt that it was needed somehow. He waited for a moment, wondering what to say. Finally it came to him. "Be strong." He stood and left her without another thought. Tahlis paused at the edge of the clearing and looked to Ah'Sah, acknowledging his authority with a grimace. "I'll be back in the morning. If you need me, whistle I suppose. My name is Tahlis." He directed the last part mostly to Sabarya with a short glance.

The warrior slipped in the forest, cloaking himself in invisibility. The magic warmed him and he walked far enough not to be heard. "Zorazeth? Where are you?" He called to the sky, irritation tinging his voice as he let his magic fade so that he could be seen by his spirit partner. He had business to settle before he could go to sleep.

Tahlis awoke from his slumber and slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he did was scan his surroundings cautiously. The dim sunlight streaming through the leave cast shadows around him. He looked to the sky and saw that the sun was just rising on the horizon. He stood and stretched with a grunt before stumbling a few steps into the forest quietly. Songbirds swooped and flapped above him, singing praise to the morning sun. He adjusted himself and then started off back to the camp where he had left the group. He briefly wondered if they were still there but figured he would find out soon enough.

As he walked into the clearing, the first thing he noticed was a soft wailing of a sorrowful woman. He picked his way through the sleeping figures and then stood near Sabarya. He didn't invade her personal space as she held her dragons corpse with a tender gentleness. When he felt her magic spark to life he flinched slightly, noticing that it felt familiar yet different. He watched as the shimmering magic laid over her skin like a blanket. A second skin even. Tahlis raised both his brow in surprise before moving closer and pulling his own magic over his body. He crouched beside the woman and a slight smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He kept his voice pitched low so that only she would hear him. "Impressive. I haven't met someone who had the same ability as me." He paused, noticing her tears now that he was closer. Tahlis felt impossibly ill. He couldn't quite come to terms with the empathy he felt for her and he wanted to comfort her but his own values and morals cursed him for it. Finally Tahlis reached for her hand and squeezed it gently. "It's not okay. I know. I won't lie to you. But, you need to be strong." He struggled for a moment, feeling disgusted at his actions. "Grail fought hard to live and keep you safe. Respect that and take revenge. Avenge his death so that it not worthless. A woman like you shouldn't be crying." He released her hand and swiped at her tears with a grimace. The digest wound its way around his heart and fought hard with the feeling of care that gripped him tight. Unable to take being so soft-hearted, he stood and backed away. He turned back the way he came and jogged back to the clearing. He had plans to wake up Zorazeth and get started on finding some answers. Yes, that's what I should be doing. He thought with a startling clarity, pushing down all the other rotten feelings.

Lexallin

Image

The first thing she heard was screaming. Lexallin jumped up quickly, taking in the pain of her thigh. She grabbed her knife and prepared herself for a fight. Surprised to see Sabarya huddled over Grail. Lexallin ran to him, cutting him carefully and gathering his blood. It was cold. He was cold. Lexallin couldn't believe it. She stared at Sabarya's wondering eyes, afraid to admit the truth; he was gone. She shook her head to Sabarya in awe, stepping back from the dead dragon.

"I did everything right, this isn't right, he was stable. I didn't do anything wrong! I must have stopped his blood when it washed off in the water, I killed him-" She backed into a tree and collapsed against it, listening to the cries of Sabarya. She silently wept, the responsibility of his death worse than the pain she had felt helping him. The thought of losing Zythil was blood churning. She felt the words sting in her stomach. She thought about losing Zythil. The loss of her best friend would kill her surely. Lexallin stood up and ran to Zythil, crying into her feathery wings. She could feel herself bleeding again but paid no mind. She thought her actions rude, having found comfort in her dragon where Sabarya had none. She made herself sick.
