"Just be careful not to mangle the ones you catch," Silbahkest scoffed at the notion but slyly winked at his friend as Ah'Sah returned his response with a look. Silbahkest waited a second after Ah'Sah had entered the trees before leaping into the air and casting out his wings. He flapped them vigorously gaining altitude within minutes. Soon he was gliding just below the clouds, gliding between each one spread across the sky so that he wouldn't cast a shadow. Also, his silver skin would blend semi-nicely with the gray cloud cover.
His gaze searched the greenery beneath until he spotted Ah'Sah sneaking up on a herd of deer. Silbahkest watched as he cleverly kept downwind of them before killing a good number of them much to the white-tail's surprise. Four of the deer galloped away but Silbahkest followed them easily as he moved much faster. He watched them slow at a distance and pick their way to another clearing. Once they resumed grazing he hovered to watch them. They were nervously picking at the grass, glancing every which way at the forest. Howver, they did not realize that their enemy was coming from the sky.
Silbahkest tucked his wings in and fell from the sky, slicing through the air like an arrow. The ground rushed up to meet him and he tilted himself just slightly to angle for just the right spot where to could catch at least three of the four. When he reached ten feet above the ground he spread his wings and tilted them back catching the wind. The force of the stop caused him slight pain in the joints where his shoulders met his wings but it was bearable and he spread his hind talons. The first deer didn't even scream as he crushed it soft throat with his back paws, all five talons sinking into warm flesh as he landed on it a little harder than expected. His tail swept out to smack two deer to the side, the spear like weapon at the end sinking into a shoulder as it impacted. He was immediately pleased by the sound of bones snapping. The fourth deer who had frozen itself into place started with a squeal and tried to dart away but silbahkest darted forward, jaws wide, and grabbed the deer by the haunches. He hissed happily as it squirmed only managing to hurt itself further as Silbahkest's fangs worked deeper into it's tender muscles. However, Silbakest was no torturer and Ah'Sah had taught him to be respectful. He set the deer down and held it down by his front talons before delivering a quick bite to the throat of the creature, efficiently ending its life. Silbahkest gathered the deer together after killing the other two who had moving no more than a few inches, mewling in desperate pain. He spread his wings and secured one deer in his back talons and another by his front and took the other two by the throats in his jaws. Soon, he was in the air again and returning to Ah'Sah.
When he neared, he noticed something happening. A small female elf laid beneath Ah'Sah and seemed to have passed out as with a closer inspection seemed to be alive. Silbahkest narrowed his gaze but trusted his friend to handle the situation until a little fairy-like dragon swooped down on Ah'Sah, baring it's teeth. Silbahkest started with a growl and glided down to another section of the forest, setting the deer down angrily. He wasted no time and moved on the clearing where Ah'Sah and the dragon faced off and tuned in to what they were saying. He didn't move a muscle, or barely breath to reveal his location but he did tense unbearably. If that dragon so much as touches Ah'Sah, I'll rip her furry hide to shreds!
A roar startled him but he still didn't take his eyes from the little dragon, memorizing every feather as it let the elf girl onto ints back and they departed. Ah'Sah whistled but Silbahkest nudged him from behind with a growl. "I'm here. I was watching from behind you. If that little pest had of touched one hair on your head I would've killed her. I would've ripped her soft wings off slowly." A fire burned in his eyes and his pent-up anger seethed underneath his skin. "How dare they!" He hissed, sinking his claws into the earth trying to calm himself which was becoming harder to do as his temper rose now that they weren't in sight. It had been bad enough to hold himself back but now he just wanted to draw blood.
Silbahkest drew closer to Ah'Sah in an attempt to rein himself in and it slightly calmed in but didn't take away from the aching feeling to kill. He drew in a breath and let it out, nostrils flaring. "Did you want to check out that roar? I'm sure that's where those two pests were going. We can get the deer and then head there if you like." Silbahkest inquired, now thinking on the sound of that roar. However, another desperate roar called to him and he raised his head peering in the direction that the others had flown off in. "Seems they need our help as well. I think that may have been the annoying fairy-dragon that just left. Something is happening. Dragons don't usually call for aid I believe.." He murmured, whipping his tail angrily.
