Guild Pact

Guild Pact

0 INK

in a world torn by war you must take up a guild and fight for the relics of power

8,038 readers have visited Guild Pact since waa37 created it.

Introduction

In the time before time there was the Age of Creation when the lands of Terrera were at an all-time high in magic and engineering. In the far reaches of the lands twenty relics were made, by the leading minds of the time, each having its own abilities and powers that made it unique. All was well with the relics until a war began between the creators for control of all the relics, each controlling a guild unknown to the world, so that the one who controlled them all in the end would have the powers to set time and space as they wished and create their own perfect universe. The wars continued for nearly ten years before the guilds destroyed themselves leaving the relics to wait for the coming of time for them to call upon newly formed guilds to take arms and fight for the powers of the relics once more.

Welcome to the world of Terrera!

RULES

1. This is a nation roleplay, an RP in which players control entire civilizations rather than individual characters. While it is perfectly acceptable to make characters that are a member of your civilization, realize that the scale an NRP takes place on greatly limits what a single person can accomplish.

2. Please adhere to all of Roleplay Gateway's general rules for roleplaying.

3. No God moding or the Divinity will hunt you down!!

4. Relic control starts at one relic per each guild at most, some guilds could be merchants and dont have any wanting for the relics.

5. be creative with your guilds i don’t want them all the same!

6. This roleplay is set in a fantasy world not a Sci-Fi world so no technology beyond clockwork.

The champions of the Divinity sat in the throne room in silence they each looking at the garden map of the known world before them before Remus Divinity stood to speak," Your excellency if I may propose a plan of action on these new world events that have occurred."

Waa looks up from his trance like thoughts, he staring at Remus as if he is instead looking through Remus and into his very soul he only saying," Speak Remus," before he rests his head on his crossed fingers and closes his eyes again to think.

"As we all know as of two nights ago a beam of light coming from somewhere in the sands of time pierced the sky and as our spies have informed us many of the guilds have mobilized forces to investigate this disturbance. The problem we face is the question of whether or not this strange occurrence is the work of a relic calling for a guild or if this is an oddity of nature which is where I propose we..."

"Be seated Remus i have prepared my verdict," states Waa before he uncurls from his throne and stands before his champions with an air of full control about him though he being half some of their ages. "Word will be sent to the guild lords that i request their presence in two days’ time, as for the beam of light i leave it to Romulus and his shadows of the sun to discover its origin and powers." As Waa returns to his throne the champions each stand from their thrones and bow before leaving. “Messenger! Send out the faeries with word of my invitation.”

Deep within Xustiza in a small room 5 people sit around a table. Around them many generals, admirals, lords, and strategists bustle about collecting info. the men needed and causing a general air of decision making. Finally after several minuets Yemen stands and his Guard behind him stands as well. Instantly a hush fell across the table "My faithful men" Yemen said in his raspy mysterious voice "You have done well in the time that you have been given! What have you found? He then sat and leaned back in his chair, again the Guard copied him. Instantly Nio stood up and said in her light girly voice "My naval fleet have found nothing sir! They say they see a general air of uneasiness from the other guilds but nothing that looks threatening!" She then sat and smiled at the man next to her he slowly got up, as if he hadn't a care in the world, and reported in a sing song voice "Yes my liege my army has seen nothing. We have started a small group of men towards the light but we have seen little to nothing else." He then sat back down and Yemen nodded "Thank you Johed! next he looked to Austin ho looked to a young man standing next to him "Austin's Redeemers have felt nothing out of the ordinary. Nor has Austin felt any disturbances since the light passed." The boy looked to Austin, who looked to Yemen and nodded. Finally Yemen turned to the last member of the party "My spies say Divinity are sending faeries to us for a guild council. Also Waa has nothing to do with any of this. My man said he seemed as puzzled as we were. I also dispatched five two man Brigades in hopes one of them would get through the Sands and find the light." Dune then walked out of the room. He hated councils, to many people, so he walked to the gardens and started tending his flowers, trying to look like a normal gardener as well. Soon he felt Yemen come up behind him. I'd like you to come with me to the council he rasped. Dune turned and said "Don't you normally take Austin?" Yemen smiled and started helping prune the flowers "I wont always be around Dune. Eventually someone is going to figure out how to kill me and they'll probably pull it off pretty easily!" he paused for a full minuet and then finally said "I want you to take over for me." he then turned and walked away. "Start packing. it's a three day ride to the Castle of the Pact!"

The Grand Master stepped through the Iron Gate, feeling the sunlight on her stone-cooled flesh. She favoured the sunlight over the artificial lights the keep the caverns lit. To her it felt as if it was a piece of the Primordial Lord of the Light remained amongst them. Although she knew this was not true, the sun was merely a ancient artifact created by the Light and without its master its power will begin to wane. She could not help to honour it still, for the Primordial Lords' creations are certainly deserving of reverence. After standing for a moment she turned her attention the the party before her, a cluster of Adept guards maintain a cordon around a small cage. She waves them aside and they move from the cage, revealing a number of fairies fluttering and clutching at the bars. Looking down in disdain she observes the fear in their small faces and the bravery that hides it. She looks the the guards
"Where did you catch them?" She asked, her voice cold and calculating. A senior adept stood forward in his blood-red armor and spoke, bowing his head "Grand Master, the Mind Hunters reported fairies asking of the Astral Keep in the villages below and warned us to keep vigilant. These beings showed themselves soon after. We were prepared and caught them before they could leave will our position." This response triggered several indignant squeaks from the imprisoned fairies but they were silenced by a icy cold glance from Arina. She crouched down before the cage, her cold blue eyes piercing the fairies. Her gaze was unflinching as she spoke to the adepts "Have they spoken?"
"Yes Grand Master, they asked for you. They say they are agents of the Divinity." Was the response that caused Arina pause as she considered the words. She knew of the Divinity and the power of the guild. She certainly knew more of the guild constantly interfering in the plans of her predecessors then the Divinty knew of the Unitate. The fact these fairies were asking of the Astral Keep suggested the Divinty did not know their exact location, guaranteeing the secrecy of the Unitate. She now turned her questioning to the fairies. "Why were you sent?" She asked coldly. A fairy embolden itself and answered, attempting to present a semblance of courage. "Waa Divinity requests the presence of all guild leaders in Athendra within two days to discuss current events." The fairy cut off, its gathered bravery melting away at the conclusion of the message. Arina nodded and stood, turning to the waiting adepts, "You have done well. Take the captives to the examiners. The Furies strengthen you." As one the adepts bowed and uttered a chorus of "Restore the storm." They methodically continued to heft the cage and carry the protesting fairies into the gaping depths of the Astral Keep. They would either prove useful to furthering the Unitate or will die, silencing their knowledge of the guild's Keep.

Arina Talion remained standing in the dawning sun as she considered the current situation. The recent pillar of light spotted from the heights of the watch towers caused an unmistakable excitement amongst the guild. Many of them revered the anomaly as a sign, a signal of the reclusive relics the guild has searched for since ages past. Of course action was immediately undertaken, a hundreds strong force of seekers were dispatched to search the lands in which the sign orientated. No doubt this conference was invested in the strange occurrence. Arina was cautious, although the Divinity was supposedly peaceful spies through the years have revealed the great power at Waa's command. To accept this request would expose her greatly, even with her might and the power of the Primordials survival would be doubtful if betrayal was in order. She turned and left the sunlight on her back as she returned to the dark caves of the Astral Keep. Decision already made she prepared to present it to the Council to receive their support.

It was soon after midday when the wall gates were flung open and an armored column passed beneath. Over fifty armored bodies marched through on foot and on horse, accompanied by the giant forms of five titans. At their head rode the Grand Master, splendid on her powerful charger and encased within her power armor. Much of the force composed of the silent and deadly Furies, yet with the unmistakable presence of every caste. The steady marching beat, thundered as giant steam suits thudded against the hardened stone path, keeping in perfect sync with the trotting of the horses and even the mighty crashes of the titans. From the walls shouts arose, a chant in time with the powerful beat.
"Of Light there was one
Of Darkness there was another"
The well known words of the Prophecy rose triumphantly from the walls and was soon echoed by the departing warriors, ringing out from the path the chant was deafening. Yet not a whisper of the chorus drifted across the great distance to the villages below as the party continued almost as if off to war.

Tyrunga and Ivy strode purposefully down the long path to the Oracle, a few knights behind them. Aesaphos was stood in front of the large metal doors that served as an entrance. He held his palm out to signal them to stop.
“Is he in there?” Asked Tyrunga in his gruff voice. Aesaphos nodded.
“When will he come out?” Asked Ivy. Aesaphos shrugged. The heavy boom from within of the curtain doors closing resonated around the courtyard, followed by the opening of the outer metal doors. The Ninth Seer stepped out, shadows billowing around him. All present kneeled as he exited the building.
“Arise. What is it?” He spoke, cold indifference in his voice, waving his hand at Tyrunga.
“There are reports that many guilds are mobilising…”
“Towards a beam of light, yes I already know this.” The Seer interrupted.
“Should we mobilise ourselves? I can get the Acolytes on the move faster than now.” Suggested Ivy.
“No, we will not waste our time following such trivialities, let the other guilds fight amongst themselves for it. We shall remain here, it is Jiraba’s will.”

Warchief Grugbaguk came stomping up the bath, flanked by orc berserkers and knights. He punched his chest in salute and made his report.
“Our Watchers picked this up.” He grunted. A large Orc knight came forward, holding a glass bottle with a faerie in it. Tyrunga scoffed at such a crude trap whereas Ivy took pleasure in seeing it cramped inside it.
“Bring it forward.” Said the Seer. The bottle was placed on the floor in front of Aesaphos. “Well creature, what news do you bring from Divinity?”
“There is to be a guild leader meeting at Athendra in two days.” It whimpered.
“What makes the Divinity so sure that I will turn up? Would it be to discuss the light in the sands? I have no interest in pursuing it. Aesaphos, if you would be so kind.”
The silent warrior lifted his mighty zwëihander, ready to strike.
“You can’t kill me! I have messenger’s protection!” Cried the faerie.
“The creature speaks the truth Lord.” Agreed Tyrunga. The Seer turned to face away from them all. Sighing heavily he resigned.
“Fine, tell your Lord that the Temple will attend. But tell him that we will refuse to go off on some quest to find some sparkly sand.” He re-entered the Oracle as Aesaphos’ blade came down and broke the bottle without hitting the faerie.

Later that day, the Seer stood at the mighty gates of Durak-Mur; he would be taking Aesaphos with him for sure. He decided to leave Tyrunga, his strategic mind would be able to organise defence against any underhanded assaults while they were away. Ivy would be keeping the army on the march. Warlord Kikoliath rode up alongside the Seer and Aesaphos.
“Shame we aren’t going to war. I feel like bashing a few heads in.”
“Yeah, that sounds good, can’t we do that instead?” Shouted Grugbaguk from the drawbridge controls, where several large men and orcs were winding the wheel to lower the huge metal bridge.
“This is strictly business you meatheads. You can kill something later, let the politicians do their job first.” Said Reena sardonically.
“That’s another thing,” Said Kikoliath, “How come my daughter gets to go but I have to stay here?”
“Because you are neither intelligent nor beautiful enough father.” Replied Reena condescendingly.
“Enough talk, we ride.” Said Aesaphos in his grating hellish voice, every syllable seemed to be heavily laboured and otherworldly, its very nature silenced all further conversation. The Seer nodded his head and the banner of the Temple was raised, the blood red ‘T’. They began their march towards Athendra, containing Aesaphos, Ivy, Reena and one hundred and fifty personnel, seventy-five Acolytes, fifty knights, ten Svjodzen (acting as the personal bodyguard for the Seer) and fifteen Stalkers.

Weimar

“What are the news from the front?” Weidric asked as he looked the messengers before him.
“Milord, we have news of these elves being pushed out of the farming lands and further towards the forests. Knight-Commander Heliinger requests permission to break off the main army and cut the elves off their escape route. He also requests that his army to consists mainly of knights and similar quick mobile units.”
“Granted,” Weidric said and then waved the messenger away and looked at the other.
“Three witches have been caught near Bechafen. The Arch Bishop has alredy given the order to have them publically executed.”
“Very well, next.”
“Milord…There has been spotted a beam of light pierce through the skies. What it truly was, we do not know.”
“If we do not know what it is, or have any prophecies for how to react to this, then no course of action shall be taken, now if that is all for today-”

The doors were opened and the Captain of the Imperial Guard entered, “My Emperor, a messenger have arrived from the Divinity, the…Creature says it will only speak before you, milord.”
Weidric was surprised at this but nodded, as he knew that the power of the Divinity was greater than his own and thus he needed to be careful for his actions against the nation, “Bring it before me.” The politics between the Empire of the Imperial Statesmen and the Divinity was somewhat cold. The Imperial Statesmen believed that their nation would be the one that would unite humanity into a single nation but the Divinity was an existing proof that it didn’t have to be like that, which was why the Church of the Empire condemned the Divinity for its existence. Weidric was aware that there hadn’t been any real wars between the two nations for almost two centuries but he didn’t wish to test the political tension.

The Captain stood aside and allowed the fairy to enter. On either side of the creature there stood a Royal Guard with a crossbow pointed at it, ready to fire at the least sign of trouble. The fairy wasn’t allowed any closer than fifteen meters of the throne. “Lord Waa asks an audience with Emperor Weidric von Krubber in two days in the capital of the Divinity.”
All eyes went to the Emperor. Once again the pressure of being the Emperor fell upon Weidric, no he had to make a decision, was he to negotiate with the natural enemy of the Empire or was he to risk a war after all these years of peace and tension. Despite the pressure, however, Weidric didn’t as much as a sweat. He valued his options, “Listen here, I will attend however, I will arrive along with my closest adviser, the Arch Bishop, Gunthar Klaus, now go,” Weidric ordered and the fairy was escorted, whether it wanted to or not, out of the room.

Holy damnation, now I have to sit face to face with the leader of the Divinity…Bloody Nine Hells. At least Gunthar will be at my side for this, if he doesn’t declare them all for heretics on first sight anyways.
"Send word to Arch Bishop Klaus. He is to accompany me to this meeting and send words to my personal bodyguards. We leave tomorrow for Athendra."

It had taken several hours for Dune to pack. He was in the third town, from the center of Xustiza, in his small apartment style home. He'd needed his knives and his potion kit stored and of course he needed to get his gloves ready. They were specially made to withstand most acids or poisons. They could also withstand small blades and other smaller weapons. He'd packed and hen came back to the center of the castle, via a route of bridges, ladders, and gates, and came to Yemen's chamber. When he entered Yemen was starring into the waters but he looked up and came to him as soon as he stepped into the room. "Your looking good" he hissed "excited even?". Dune smiled and hefted Yemen's bag onto the shoulder his bag of clothing wasn't on "I've never met anyone from the Temple of Jiraba before.....I'm looking forward to learning to how they operate!" They walked the halls in silence until they came out into the sunshine and looked at the two horses ready for the ride. They were loaded down with gifts and foods from their land. Although not many Guild Councils had happened of late Yemen had always tried to be hospitable when he went. That is why he only took one person with him. "Listen to me my son." Yemen walked.....well glided in front of Dune. "When we are there some of the guilds will be rude. We are a proud guild and have made some enemies over the years. However we have always supported the Unitate and Divinty is no enemy of ours either. If their is any foul play while you are here and you can't come to me? Go to Waa or Arina they will help you." Dune nodded impatiently and tried to walk around Yemen. But Yemen refused and continued talking "Also some may bring entire caravans of warriors to intimidate us. We bring two to confuse them. To them we are an old man and a young cocky boy on a mission for a weak insignificant guild. However WE know the truth and that is all that matters. Do not give away our secret boy. Do you understand?" Dune nodded again and walked to his grey stallion setting his bags in one of the bag holders. He then moved to Yemen's black one and attached his. Yemen glided over got over the top of his horse and hissed "Away we go then!"

Forgemaster Brundul stood leaning on his hammer. He was just outside Agram with a few Dwarf Blacksmiths. He could see the dust cloud being raised by the troops from Durak-Mur. He scratched his nose and yawned. Turning to the nearest Dwarf he told him to raise the banner of the Temple.

Aesaphos saw the banner first.
“Lord. Brundul is up ahead.” He said in his horrific voice.
“Excellent. We shall rest there awhile before continuing on.” The unit stopped in front of the Dwarves. The Seer, Reena and Aesaphos dismounted and walked over to Brundul.
“Took your time didn’t you? Here’s that amulet you wanted.” Said Brundul in his sarcastic gruff Dwarven voice. The Seer took the amulet off the Dwarf, it was silver and in the shape of the Temple’s ‘T’.
“This shall suffice. Aesaphos, if you would.” Said the Seer. Aesaphos wrapped the amulet’s cord around his sword hilt. Reena was about to question what the amulet did but then Ivy came over.
“Brundul, we are going to need around ten thousand new swords, we are restocking the armoury back at Durak-Mur. Same payment as always?” She said.
“Aye. It’ll take us a while though.” He replied, unclipping a tankard from his belt and swigging it all down in one go.

They spent a few hours resting there before beginning their march again. Brundul stayed at Agram along with his Dwarves to begin work on the weaponry shipment.
“How far is it now?” Asked Reena. The Seer chuckled, but it was a mirthless laugh.
“We are still a while away yet. We are not yet out of our lands.”
“It will be dark soon though, should we have stayed at Agram?”
“You have been listening to too many outsider scholar’s tales. The Watchers do not attack members of the Temple, and they would certainly not attack me.” Said the Seer, slight annoyance in his tone. “Besides, it always grows darker in our lands before any other. The Idol influences our weather and daytime patterns. It will probably get lighter when we enter the Divinity’s lands.”

As Romulus and his escort of five assassins neared the Gates of Heaven the horns sounded and the great gate was opened for them to enter Waa standing before them in the gate,” Romulus your aura has much anticipation so I ask, what have you done this time?”

Romulus walks within the gate before pulling from within his black cloak a set of shoulder armor plates with the marks known to be the symbol of the Unitate,”we may have had a small run in with the Unitate on the way but their ranks were scrambled and confused in the dessert so I doubt they know we were even there.”

“So you found it appropriate to kill those amongst them whom spotted you? Yet you leave parts of this one’s cloak behind that will trace them back to us.” States Waa as he lifts the cloak of one of the assassins, with his mind, there being a large tear in the cloak from it snagging onto something. “Next time Romulus I will advise you to cover your tracks so I do not have to do so later.” Waa turns and walks away to his tower Romulus following at his side as they speak in a low voice so no others may hear their conversation, “this beam of light is as we feared and the cause of a relic wanting to be taken by a guild?”

“Why do you ask questions, whilst just getting the answers from my memory as you please?”

“Because I would rather hear you say it so I know your memories on this event have not been tampered with. The relic we are facing Romulus is the fabled Pool of Memories, none of your men drank from it did they?”

“Only one my liege but he did not seem to be himself on our return.”

“Bring him to my tower in an hour’s time, until then I must ask you to go about one’s own affairs as I do the same.”

The man's name was Deekoon. Before he came across the dessert. He had traveled with another man from the Death Brigade. They had run for an entire day all the way from Xustzisa to the coordinates their mathematicians had come up with for the beam of light. They'd only been off by a couple miles and it had only taken them seconds to locate the pool. Not many people were about except for a small group of men near the far shore of the lake. By his count there were 6 and they didn't look very friendly. He looked to the other man, his name was of no importance to Deekoon, to see he had already started to get his gear out. A series of bottles, test tubes, and other lab equipment came out of his bag.Protection was Deekoon's detail and protect he would! He pulled out of his bag a set of armor. He quickly put it on and started to run away from his teammate. When he was halfway around the lake he started making an unnecessary amount of noise. The men across the lake heard and immediately started after him (he was only about ten feet from them). He started running, not putting all his effort into it, and clumsily pulled a sword from its sheath. When the were close enough to finish him he saw they were men of Divinity. They circled him and each had a weapon in their hands. One, obviously the leader, stepped forward and said "Speak you Unitate dog!" Obviously the Unitate were no longer on such good terms with the Divinity. He started the prophecy of the Unitate and got to "Neither conquered" before someone behind him hit him with the flat of his sword. The leader once again bent over him and said "Where are your comrades?" and to make himself heard decided to stick his sword tip in Deekoon's throat. "They are that way" he pointed to the East. In all actuality he had only seen three Unitate men (and one of them had donated his armor and his life to Deekoon) but he assumed if there were three then there were most likely more. Suddenly his insides hurt. It was hard to describe but it felt like he was gonna implode. He looked and saw the leader's hand on his leg. In the instant before he died he knew that he had been killed by Remus Divinity.

Yemen and Dune approached the Gates of Heaven slowly. They didn't want to have an arrow through their chest before they even got to the conference! When they were about a hundred feet out Yemen opened a bag at his side and a faerie flew towards the gate, stopping to sting Yemen with a mite amount of magic. Yemen smiled and watched it rise to the guards and tell them who they were. Soon they were upon the gates as they slowly opened in front of them. As Yemen and Dune rode in Yemen hissed to Dune "Remember your place boy." Once they were inside they were flocked by people who hadn't seen another clan in decades. Yemen opened one of the bags and pulled out a single golden coin. He stood on his horse, attracting all attention to him, and held the coin in the air with his right hand. Quickly a hush fell over the large crowd. Yemen muttered "множете се твоето потомство" and out of the sky hundreds of gold coins flew down into the crowd. Yemen sat down and put the once gold coin, now hunk of ash, back into the pocket it came from "We should be on our way" he wheezed and the guards started on the way to their rooms.

The great host had traveled for two days almost unceasing march. Even the horses were unfailing although they did not wield the fanatic dedication of their masters. Not a utterance had passed the lips of the marching company, only during the small dispersed rests were words spoken. Even commands did not spring, every warrior knowing what was required and expected. Their journey was finally at an end as they approached the tall glistening gates of Athendra. The Gates of Heaven, as they were known, extended tall and glistening. Roughly three-score paces from the towering structure of crystal Arina gestured, a small movement of a hand and her entire progression stiled, as efficient as a well oiled machine. Eyes narrowed, the Grand Master sneered at the glorious construction and urged her horse forward, aware of the guards watching her through magical and mundane means. She halted her charger before the great gates and waited, no attempt against her had been made as so she waited to be accepted through the accursed doors. Her thin lips curled as she considered the naming of the portal. It hackled her that they clung to absurd heresies such as the concept of 'heaven'. The city would no fit the description if such a place existed, no a grain of dust within or without the walls was offered to the Primordial Lords. She drew pleasure from the fact the self-righteous nonbelievers will be sundered when the Unitate brings its full power upon them to retrieve the relic the Divinity claims for it own.

Eventually a slit revealed itself down the great doors as they began to shift inwards. Another gesture in the air and the full might of the Unitate force behind her began to march again, the titan's shaking the ground with each ponderous step. By the time the host had joined their Grand Master the gates were wide enough to accommodate the full column. Steady in resolve the drew a tremendous sight to the arrays of warriors and guards within the walls. Though, unlike the fairies, these men seemed of strong resolve, surrounded by their fellows in the midst of their fortress. The column follow Arina's lead as she lead their entirety through the gates to the spires of the Divinity's castle. Forming a glorious alignment they waited behind their Grand Master to be dealt with by who deemed to represent the Divinity.

Terrera
As the Temple unit marched from their lands into those of the Divinity’s, it did indeed get lighter. They marched with a few periodic breaks for quick refreshment.
“We must exercise greater caution. The Watchers no longer protect us outside of our homelands.” Said the Seer.

Athendra
The rest of their journey was uneventful. The Temple was unaware of the goings on in the desert due to their lack of interest in the relic that lay there. It was not long before they spotted the city.
“Too light for my liking. Needs more red and it needs more black.” Said Reena.
“You don’t get a choice. But I’ll admit, their décor is not to my taste either.” Replied the Seer.
They approached the ‘Gates of Heaven’. The doors slowly opened and allowed the unit inside. Upon entering it was evident that the Unitate were already here, the large steam driven machines dwarfed many of the Divinity occupants.
“Ivy, keep the Acolytes outside and create a makeshift shrine somewhere out on the plains.” The Seer said. Ivy saluted and took the seventy-five Acolytes with twenty knights back outside to create a small shrine.
“Aesaphos, Reena. Come with me.” He said surrounded by the ten Svjodzen that acted as his bodyguards. The rest of the unit milled around inside the city, awaiting further instructions.
The Seer, along with his entourage, made his way to where the meeting would be held, not waiting to be greeted.

As the Unitate the army came to the city walls they met a barrier of the mind that seemed to hold them out of the gates as Waa followed by all of his champions at his sides,” only three of you may enter the holy city as for the rest there is a plain that has been cleared and a camp set up for you so your men may partake in the wealth of the city but not endanger those of us who live within.” As the three champions chosen by the Unitate came within the walls the gates shut behind them,” I welcome you to Athendra, now Kagi will lead to the rooms in the castle that have been reserved for you I hope you find our city accommodating.”

This proses later being repeated with the other guilds each being led by a different champion that is felt to be the best match for them, though the twins stayed with Waa.

The Seer entered his room with Reena and Aesaphos.
“Not letting my bodyguards inside. I’ll remember this.” He grumbled as he paced up and down the room.
“So when does this meeting get underway exactly?” Asked Reena. The Seer shook his head, indicating he did not know. Reena flounced down on a chair with a sigh. Aesaphos stood in front of the door, dutifully guarding.

The rest of the unit had been forced back outside the city. Ivy was standing in front of the half-built makeshift shrine looking over at the Unitate host.
“Huh. Those are some big machines, hope a fight doesn’t break out before the shrine is finished.” She spoke aloud.

Yemen and Dune had found their room without a glitch. They were now unpacking their gifts and preparing them for whenever they might see the other lords "When is the meeting start?" Dune asked. He didn't care much but the silence in the room was oppressive I don't know. Yemen said "Whenever Waa someones us I suppose." Dune looked up "Why didn't Waa meet us at the gates as he did the Unitate?" Yemen looked up "Did you see them? They brought enough machines to take out half his army. Waa was trying to intimidate them I suppose. None of them could have gotten through his champions though. We are merely to weary travelers who just gave some of his people enough money to eat for a week. Dune took all this in and said "So really we just weren't as important?" Yemen smiled "You may learn politics yet!"

Arina riled at the shunning of her followers as the ageless made his demands of her. The act suggested such a arrogance and self-righteousness that such a being cannot deserve. Every individual Waa's kind were lost in their false beliefs and ought to be scored from the face of the land. She scowled as she summoned two warcasters to her side. Speaking to them in a hushed whisper she commanded control over their charges. In a moment the control of two towering titans became hers. She could feel the metallic flesh and steam engines as if they were her own. A single thought could propelled the mighty machines to any physical deed. The two titans strode forwards, one boasting the deadly spiked fists of a Luminance and the other a Vortex wielding its magically charged spear and shield. She dismounted her charger and commanded an artificer and magister to follow her. They did so without hesitation, following her through the great gate both beings were over seven feet tall in their great armors. Her followers and the towering titans stood above her, yet she demanded the greatest attention as they stepped past the gate. The mind barrier allowing only three within, yet the titans were only extensions of the Grand Master.

Arina approached the second barrier, Waa's hosts of champions rightfully aligned for judgement. She let her gaze run over them, judging them in their faults, Waa was right to fear the might of the Unitate. The ancient guild had existed even before the Divinity was formed and its power accumulated by millennia of knowledge and experience. The gates closed behind her but she remained confident with the might of the Primordial Lords running through her.
"I have chosen my champions Waa." She addressed her host without respect, for he was deserving of none, while indicating the four giant forms behind her. "My intentions are honest, yet you deny my men entry. Did you not request my presence?" Her gaze was piercing, not inviting her question to be answered. "I shall not accept another insult lightly." She left the threat hanging, not expecting an answer.

The trio allowed themselves to be lead into the castle by Kagi, however they encountered a certain difficult quickly. The titans were net suitable for traversing interior environments and so Arina left them standing at the castle entrance along with the artificer charged with maintaining them. Together they were three great symbols of the Unitate, unmoving as statues. She and the magister were guided to their quarters. Neither of them inviting Kagi to speak to them in any mood of conversation. Although he bore their interest in a very negative light. The arcanics could feel the presence of the machinery forming the champions left arm and his adept control of it. How he had learned to use this magic was unknown to them, although he was certainly no master of it. Most caste members would likely surpass him in skill, for their lives were given completely to developing the art. No matter his ability or strength the Grand Master felt affronted by his existence. It was an atrocity, an abomination for him to wield the power of the Primordial Lords. She felt herself soiled by her proximity to such a heretical being. She did not feel particularly freed when she was led to her room. She did not care for the hospitality of the Divinity and yearned for the discussion to be completed.
