Aria Schuyler-Von Drake

Daughter of Aurora...

0 · 1,010 views · located in Gundam Wing - After Colony 255

a character in “Gundam Pilot Academy - Elite Class”, as played by Ralana

Description

Image
Age: 16
Rank: First Year
Regiment: Nyte

Appearance: Aria's appearance is very similar to her mother's although her hair color has a much darker hue of purple. She typically wears her hair long with layers to shape her face, and recently she has decided try out bangs. Her eyes are exactly like her mother's, icy blue. Unfortunately for her she tends not to tan well as she has very fair skin. She stands to be about 5 ft 6 with a shapely, slender frame.

Bio: Aria was a child of happenstance between Aurora and her then former lover Zane. Although her parents hadn't planned on igniting their former relationship for more than a couple of evenings the abrupt pregnancy had changed things. For the first couple years of Aria's life the couple both took time away from the military to focus on spending with their daughter while deciding on if they should actually tie the knot. They could afford to do so simply because of who they were, Zane a self made billionaire and Aurora who was to inherit the Von Drake fortune along with the titles. Because of their status the family had a growing number of media fans which made the ideal of giving Aria any sort of normal childhood unrealistic.

It wouldn't be long before Aurora had grown tired of civilian life, and essentially not having a career so after a long absence she returned to the military. Zane would stay behind to be the stay at home father for the time being. Many were now starting to realize that the self made billionaire was indeed trying to spend as much with his daughter as possible as he was suffering from a terminal illness. It could be months, years, or even decades, but Zane's lifespan did have a limit on it. What no one expected was that Aurora would be the first to fall out of Aria's life as the girl's mother suddenly vanished. Some blame the disappearance on the military saying it was a mission gone wrong while, other's on Aurora's own family, but most believe her to to be dead.

The loss was major for Zane and soon after his health severely declined before he passed away. At the age of six Aria had lost both of her parents. From then on her grandparents took care of the young girl although there was some controversy over it. ... (C)

Aimée narrowed her eyes at the dickish nature of the individual breaking her communication device. Sure, he was doing it for her without asking for anything in return, but his mannerisms were worse than a bedside doctor. When he handed it back and mentioned something about gluing down the front, she only nodded and watched him walk away. Sure, she was supposed to go get her uniform on and go to the opening ceremony, but she was far too pissed off to do that at the moment. She briefly acknowledged the girl who had come up on the group, nodding towards her before stalking off after the greasemonkey. As she walked, she put the watch back on and mentally reminded herself to get some glue later.

“Hey, dick! Yeah, you, greasemonkey dickface! Who the HELL taught you manners? Whoever it was, sucked at their job! You’re a rude dick and well, I don’t appreciate being treated so poorly! Thanks for doing my watch, but you’re still a dickface!”

"Ah, oh yes, how silly of me," Mike said, totally red in the face from the embarrassment and from the newfound crush. "I'll be right there. Thanks a bunch, sir!" He didn't run towards the assembly, though, but to the washroom to change into his ceremonial garb. The outfit showed off some of his muscle curves, and he seemed to be walking taller just from wearing it.

Darius was slightly annoyed by the Captain's remark, but knowing his place and rank he approached her. His mind had returned to the brooding thoughts that came with him when he first arrived.

It's ceremony attire, ma'am..."

His locket seemed heavy and he hoped he could leave in peace, but knew how things were likely going to go. What seemed strange to him was her voice wasn't as aggressive sounding as those he'd met before. Pushing the observation from his mind, Darius stood and waited for her to continue talking.

It seemed Aria hadn’t been the only one who had been lost as young woman with long dark hair was giving this other kid directions to the mess hall. Well, that made life easier. Quickly her blue eyes assessed the other group noting the one guy messing with another girls watch which although she didn’t notice him so much as the girl. She nodded back to her about ready to turn around to go the ceremony. The abrupt scene that echoed through the halls made Aria take pause though. One would think it would be for the simple fact this student was screaming, or the fact she was stomping off towards another boy. But, none of that really mattered to the teenager. No, it was the term, “Dickface
?” She had only heard one person use that term before back when she was a tender 6 year old. Tilting her head to the side Aria blinked, “Aimee?” No it couldn’t be could it? She hadn’t seen the girl since years and years ago when they played together as children although the two had kept in touch over the years. Eh, maybe she should introduce herself to her old friend after she is done with the whole boy slaying is complete...

Duke paused in his apparent not stealthy departure, wincing slightly, not at what she was saying but just at the fact she was yelling. That, along with her colorful choice of words, was bound to get the noticed and thrown into the boring Opening Ceremonies. He turned and quickly put a gloved hand over her mouth and brought his other hand up to his on mouth pressing his index finger against his lips.

“Would you shut up? You’re going to get us noticed.”

He removed his hand from her mouth after a few second and shook his head.

“Nobody taught me manners, and from the way you’ve been acting, nobody taught you them either. Someone does a favor for you and you run after them yelling and swearing? Now what the hell are you doing anyways? You’re supposed to be going to the ceremony. So
get going. Shoo.”

He used both hand to wave her away like someone would do to get rid of a stray animal that was following you home.

The smell of Solara's hair interrupted his train of thought and his eyes followed her towards Duke. Darius thought it over if Duke really deserved his help as he was bringing it on himself. Still he owed him a favor and after a short sigh, Darius followed close behind Solara.

Michael Richardson meekly made his way to his assigned seat in the assembly hall. He anxiously glanced to either side. Both of the guys next to him looked like they could clean his clock with one punch, assuming they didn't drag him back to the washroom and gave him a swirlie first.

AimĂ©e nearly walked right into the back of him thanks to his sudden stop. What she wasn’t expecting was for him to turn around immediately and put his hand against her mouth. Immediately narrowing her Prussian eyes, she filed away his appearance and decided that he was going to be her project for the year. She ignored his request for her to shut up, and when he finally removed his hand away from her mouth, she couldn’t help but snarl a little. All she wanted was for him to speak like a human to her, but instead he was rude and abrasive. Even when he admitted that no one taught him manners and made the assumption that no one taught her any either, she could feel the rage swelling up inside of her. She unfortunately gained a lot from her mother, and even though her father was extremely laid back, polite, and slow to anger, AimĂ©e didn’t seem to pick his personality up.

“I’ve got more manners than you can even fathom! You are a dickface! All I wanted was conversation and you have done nothing but treat me like I’m lower than an amoeba!”

When he waved his hands towards her after telling her to shoo and go to the ceremony, AimĂ©e growled under her breath and grabbed a hold of one of his hands. The grasp wasn’t a polite, let’s be friends, pleased to meet you type of grasp. No, it was an, I’m about to break your fingers and then your face kind of grasp. Not wanting to get sent to the principal’s office, or whatever ruled this school, she debated on whether or not to break the man’s fingers or just let it go and walk off.

“I suggest you never do that again unless you want to wipe your ass with stumps. I’m not some dog you can just shoo away. I’m a human being. I’m AimĂ©e Verona and I come from a long line of women with short tempers.”

Aria waited a few seconds debating on if she should interfere. Maybe she could have the potential of saving this kid from a few scars, but that might mean taking a couple of hits to her face. The thought made the girl cringe as she knew very well how hard Aimee could throw a punch. Well, she could maybe break them up at a distance? Hearing footsteps she saw the captain and another student approaching. Oh? Maybe they would take care of it. Right, let them get punched in the face instead. A small smile crept on her lips before Aria decided to yell down the hall, “Aimee! When you’re done killing him come find me in the Assembly! Tootles!” If this was her old friend then she should know who she was, so with that Aria turned on her heels heading towards the mess hall with a nod to the captains
or whoever they were.

“Ceremony attire? But it looks like you just got back from a funer
” she immediately stopped herself from finishing the sentence and cleared her throat as she looked down. That’s when the yelling began from the group they had just departed from. Her saving grace. “Sorry
We should go check on them
I think..?” she said to him after her short apology as she quickly turned. She accidently whipped him across the face with her long brown hair as she began to quickly make her way toward the escalating tension.

Solara thought quickly and dashed toward the two quarreling but before she could try to neutralize the situation, things had escalated at an exponential rate. She slowed down just before them waiting to see what would happen next. Perhaps the situation would fix it self
she thought.
She reflexively put her arm out before Darius to stop him from advancing any further. She was not about to get another person involved, let alone someone that just came back from a funeral and was probably already not having the best day. She decided to see what her regiment mate was going to do before getting herself involved.

“You may have them, but you’re certainly not using them right now.”

Duke cocked an eyebrow at her comment about wanting a conversation and gave a soft laugh.

“Well, I’m sorry to break the news to you, but you picked the wrong person for that sort of thing. I work with machines. That’s what I’m good at and that’s what I like. If something goes wrong with a machine, there’s a noticeable problem and a set way to fix it. With people well

..”

He just smiled and pointed at her with his free hand.

“With people, everyone has something different about them and one wrong move you can end up with some strange girl yelling at you.”

He didn’t make a move to try and pull away from her. He knew if worse came to worse that he could still easily reach the big wrench hanging from his belt.

“Well, don’t follow me again and I won’t have to do it again. Simple enough isn’t it? So why don’t you just calm down, let me go and we start avoiding each other for the rest of the year?”

Duke looked over her shoulder, noticed Solara and sighed.

“Great, looks like we’ve been found out. Now I’m going to have to go to the stupid ceremony.”

Michael Richardson glanced nervously around the mess hall as he walked towards his assigned seat. So many strong and good-looking people...apparently he had his place among them, but he didn't know where that was exactly. He was flanked by two male students that could only be described as beefcakes. They could probably choke him out with one arm after they were done giving him a swirly. "Uh...excuse me...but your legs are across my seat..." he pointed out. As he feared, his brief moment of assertiveness was met with a "so what, faggot" and a light shove that almost knocked him down.

"Why don't you want to conversate with me? Am I that undesirable? I thought I was pretty nice up until you snubbed me. My manners come to those that don't treat me poorly, like you did.”

Frowning a little, she couldn’t comprehend that someone would rather deal with machines than humans. Perhaps it was because of her upbringing and her desire to have companionship since she didn’t have a lot of it while she was growing up. While she was listening to him go on about why he didn’t talk with people, she heard someone shouting her name and something about meeting up in the ceremony room. She knew better than to glance over her shoulder and didn’t need to once she placed the voice. So, Aria was at the academy too? Things were definitely going to be interesting. She remembered the stories her mother would tell her about the adventures she had at the academy along with Aurora and although AimĂ©e didn’t know Aria really well, she hoped they would have some of the same adventures. Returning her attention towards the greasemonkey as he told her that the two could now go about ignoring each other, she couldn’t help but frown even more.

“You would know if I wasn’t calm, bub. I’m glad you have to go to the ceremony because if I have to go sit through that stifling event and listen to teachers and other people I don’t care about then you should have to do the same. If you had taken a moment or two to actually converse with me, then all of this could have been avoided. You brought this upon yourself, and until you give me a name, I’m going to refer to you as Dickface Greasemonkey.”

Still keeping a hold of his fingers, he squeezed them tight and all but drug him towards the others, intending on making him go all the way to the ceremony. Sure, she wasn’t wearing the proper attire, but at the moment, the hot-headed lithe female didn’t care at all. She was angry and knew it was only time before she acted out. It appeared she was more like her mother than she thought, but perhaps that wasn't all that bad.

Now that she had directions the girl easily strode over to the mess hall letting the tangled thoughts in her head keep her entertained. It seemed the majority of the students had already gathered inside which was now making finding a seat near impossible. Great, last thing she wanted was to get stuck next to one of the smelly kids in the school. Biting down on her bottom lip Aria’s blue eyes scanning the room before spotting some open seats. Perfect! She couldn’t be so lucky could she? Moving to the open row the girl gracefully sat down in one of the seats. After sitting down her back instantly straightened as the girl adopted the near perfect posture that had been beaten into her after years of edict classes. Patiently the girl waited for the actual ceremony to start as her mind was about to start wandering. That was at the very least until she started to catch wind of a few whispers behind her, ‘Hey
isn’t that?’
.
Great it was already starting

Solara breathed a sigh of relief as she relaxed her shoulders and watched as the others, although not in proper attire, make their way to the mess hall. She turned around and noticed the Federation garbed male had already taken his leave and decided she would make haste to the mess hall as well. A heralding trumpet signaled the beginning of the Ceremony as Solara slipped in the back row of her regiment's section.

"Good evening soldiers, recruits, and faculty! Welcome to the Sylera Nox IV, the host for this year's Gundam Pilot Academy! All stand and salute your superior, Major General Aaron Maximus!"

A seasoned soldier and aged man with a speckled graying beard approached the podium with his hands up, waving at everyone before him. He began to speak as his voice itself commanded silence and authority.

"Welcome friends, comrades! It is my honor to serve as your Major General this year. I would like to welcome back the regiments of Nyte, Fayt, Phire, and Angel. I expect great things from each and every one of you. Now, let the festivities begin! Enjoy them now, at the end of your 48 hour period, you will be missing them."

Everyone began to stand and applaud the Major General as he slowly made his way back to the bridge.

Understanding the Captain's intent with her hand against him, Darius turned to exit the regiment common area. He still had to finish his task, get changed, and rush to join his regiment at the ceremony. He rushed down the hall, wasting no time getting to his room.

When he arrived at his room most of his regiment had already gone to the ceremony, he closed the door to his room and threw the wrist comm on the bed. He emptied the bag he took with him on the spaceflight to the school. A small rectangle fell last from the bag.

Darius laid the small device on his lap as he worked through the operating system command line of the wrist comm, setting up the connection and transfer from the portable hardrive he'd brought with him. As soon as the wrist comm began the transfer, he stood up and watched closely. He breathed slowly and quietly as if he might interrupt the transfer.

It started loading, "1%" it said with a loading bar underneath.

All the work he'd done would hopefully pay off. As he waited he laid his uniform out, but before he unbuttoned the first button a feeling of regret weighed heavily on him. It was like he was moving on, but he didn't want to, if it weren't for the school's regulations he'd only wear his ceremony blacks. The words of his father slowly slipped into his mind and he begrudgingly changed uniforms. Not the locket though, he'd never take that off. He buttoned his school uniform over the locket and made sure not even the gold chain necklace was visible along the collar.

Darius looked back to his wrist comm, and almost as if a supernatural gift, the screen read, "100% System updated!"

He excitedly attached the device to his wrist and left his regiment hall for the ceremony bearing a genuine smile in anticipation for the year ahead.

He stared at her with a look of confusion on his face.

“Don’t you get it? It has nothing to do with YOU personally

though I have to say we’re not off to the best of starts for anything.”

Through their conversation the look of confusion never left his face.

“Who says you have to go? Just let me go and we can both not go together
..or better yet, not go not together. And if this is you calm

.yelling, grabbing and pulling, I’m going to make sure I’m in a god damn Gundam if you ever get angry. And if you’re so intent on knowing my name, its Duke Macentire. Most call me Duke or Mac. Now let me go. There’s still time to NOT go to this stupid thing. Look no one is making us go damnit! If you don’t want to go they why the hell are we going?

“You the type that gets to do whatever he wants without any consequences, eh? Well, Duke, not everyone has that luxury.”

Pausing, Aimée turned in order to face, him, her fingers finally sliding away from his hand. Both arms crossed against her chest as she took the moment to actually study him. Aside from being covered in grease and in need of a bath and some lessons on how to react around others, he really that bad. She sighed softly and realized that if he had his way, the two would never interact with each other again. Why did she always have this happen to her over and over again?

“I’m not in this academy on my own free will. The government – no, I don’t know or care which, took me away from my mother and forced me to come here to better myself or whatever. They did the same thing to my mom, Faith Blade, and well, that didn’t go so well. I’m trying to do things a little different than her, but it’s difficult
I just wanted more friends. I’m sorry.” Turning around, she walked down the hallway, stepping into the mess hall just in time to see some old fart mention something about festivities before he walked off the stage. Rolling her eyes, she slid into a seat, trying to spot Aria.
