If someone were to dedicate their life to filling a blank canvas with vibrant hues, all shades of the rainbow, but had, accidentally, right in the middle of their artwork, created a black smear, then that smear would mar and taint their work. On the face of society, much like that ruined piece of art, there is also a smear, a flaw, an imperfection. That smear is known as Seiren Torai. Throughout the whole 25 years she has spent on this planet, Seiren has always been quite noticeable. Whether it be in appearance or academics, personality or power, family or fortune.. Enforcer or Inspector, she never seemed to quite blend in with the "normal" crowd. Though.. one look and many see the reasons why. Reaching a petite height of 5 foot 2, Seiren is far shorter than most of, or near, her age.."doll-sized" as she is branded. From the back perspective; Seiren's appearance looks to be beautifully similar to that of an Oriental China-doll; a delicate silhouette outlined with a cascading, low-back reaching waterfall of an ebony-hue that, when caught in the sunlight in the most perfect of ways, shines with a brilliant eggplant tint. However, when facing forwards is when one glimpses her true beauty.

The stark bangs have been styled, rather bluntly, to lay straight across her small forehead. With the longest bit barely brushing above her eyes, an air of constant maintenance radiates off her as clear as heat rising from asphalt during the days of summer. Moving onto her facial features, Seiren is your stereotypical doll-esque luminous ivory, not a single blemish or rash pigmentation, save for the opaque rosy blush gracing her cheeks, marring the porcelain surface. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your take), the tone is paled to an alabaster due to the evident contrast those midnight frames provide. Overall, every last detail on this girl's face holds remarkable similarities to that of an ethereal being: flawless, delicate and inhumanely perfect. However, there is one distinguishing feature that sets Seiren out from others of Oriental descent; her pair of large doe eyes. Framed by a thick curtain of dark lashes, Seiren's eyes are mesmerizing in their varying shades bright crimson...it's almost as if someone had placed droplets of their own blood on those orbs to provide color to them. Almost always, they seem to be unblinking.. staring into your soul and right through your facade, sizing another up whether or not they like it. Often described by those who has made the misfortune of locking gazes with this embodiment of a doll, they are frighteningly entrancing. Coupled with high cheek bones, a delicate jaw-line, a petal-pink mouth, and perfectly shaped eyebrows; Seiren definitely holds an supernatural and captivating appearance that easily surpasses any well-known model.

On the note of her form, Seiren possesses a rather fragile yet tempting shape...somehow innocent yet seductive. It, just as her facial features, mimics a china doll's body perfectly; equal proportions and flawless curves. The shoulders are slim, not too wide yet, at the same time, not too narrow, the neck of sloping beauty and grace with the bust of satisfying voluptuousness, not too large for her stature, and is harmoniously paired with a nipped and delicate waist. Overall, Seiren's body is one of sensual feminine pull that often attracts those of the opposite gender.. however, keeping dignity in mind, she does't allow for herself to flaunt.

Image
|| ⌈Personality⌋||
Seiren is definitely the type of caged spirit who keeps her feelings under lock-and-key and past where it should be kept; a book. Not wanting to focus on herself or hauntings, this girl instead tends to redirect the attention onto her friends and talents..almost a tad bit too excessively mind you. And as such, she is typically described as a caring and selfless person who selflessly jumps to other's rescue, and will, without hesitation, exert herself to be of their assistance. Of course, Seiren does tend to go overboard which results in, more often than not, putting herself in danger's way to protect those she cares about.. she'll even go to the length of shielding someone from a bullet if it comes to it. This has caused her to be known as being extraordinary reckless on occasions and often, in turn, results in having others be worried out of their minds for her well being. However; despite the constant trouble she's in, Seiren truly means everything she does. When doing something, no matter what it is, this girl will always put forth the greatest display of effort possible, always believing that hard work will pay off (and more often times than not it has for her) in the end. Blunt to a fault, this young adult can also have a bit of a temper should someone ever get on her bad side...and isn't afraid to say so if this occurs. Despite this, if she is extremely close to the person who has upset her, she will bite her tongue and let them get away with it.

As a careless young woman, Seiren typically doesn't allow things to bother her much as they normally should and will, more likely than not, shrug whatever it is off. The idea or event would have to be really infuriating to her for her to snap and figuratively assault the person...and when that occurs, you can be assured that this grudge-holder won't talk to you for months at time. Much to some people's confusion, the girl will be, at one moment, calm and composed then in another, fierce and without bounds..so, as such, she takes great care to work on lengthen her patience (which seems to be infinite unless under certain circumstances) to guard others against her biting words.

Generally speaking, Seiren has a rather likable and optimistic nature when she is feeling lively and often likes to tease people...namely her friends. Whether it's about their crush on someone or about a certain aspect of their appearance they like or dislike, she loves to playfully take a jab at the and accept said retaliations with jovial heartiness. Of course she does it with care as to not upset them.. however; there are times where she can't help herself. Though that's not to say she is without grace, without manners. Seiren does retain some social etiquette when it comes to her elders or the persons she views as being "higher-up" and will often act more reserved when this occurs.

In the end though, even if she doesn't show them, Seiren does harbor her own demons and monsters.. she just does an excellent job covering them up. Those demons you ask? The constant worry about suddenly spiking, of being consumed with a murderous rage...however, the struggle isn't always an easy one. Because of this burden she carries, Seiren attempts her best to hide such difficulties as not to become a trouble to others... well, at least not that much.

|| ⌈Likes⌋||
  • Sweet foods (especially anything with sugar)
  • Classical music
  • Practicing her skills
  • Sudoku and word searches
  • Humming to herself
  • Daydreaming
  • Making new friends
  • A certain someone

|| ⌈Dislikes⌋||
  • Spicy or bitter foods
  • A certain someone (it's love-hate)
  • Following orders/ being told what to do
  • Sleeping
  • Her spikes
  • When people she cares about are in danger
  • Canines

|| ⌈Weaknesses⌋||
  • Brute Force || In terms of sheer strength, Seiren deserves an F… minus.
  • Compliance || Disobedient, at times, is a mild word for her behavior towards certain orders. Especially if she doesn’t agree with them.
  • Rage || Sometimes, not always, her Pass levels flux to the extreme which causes her to have intense murderous rage sessions.
  • Relationships || Tends to make friends which hinders her ability to not worry about them and focus on her mission. Not only that but when a certain person that she cares about is suddenly put into danger, Seiren’s mind goes blank and she immediately acts in a reckless manner to ensure their safety once more.

Image

|| ⌈Personal Strengths⌋||
  • Parkour || In the academy, Seiren scored at the top of her class in free-running.. it is absolutely ridiculous watching how fluidly and swiftly she manages to scale buildings.
  • Knowledge || Blessed, yet cursed, with a Selective Eidetic Memory, long text blocks and formulas ingrain their way into her mind with ease. In fact, this is how she passed most of her exams; memorizing the textbooks. Thanks to this ability, she easily picks up on languages, when a person is telling a lie, mission logs and even various poisons.
  • Pressure Points || Not having vast amounts of strength can be pretty sucky.. which is why Seiren has divulged her time in studying the varying pressure points scattered about in the human body. If worst comes to and she has to resort to hand-to-hand, at least she can temporarily numb a person.
  • Making Friends || Oddly enough, Seiren makes friends faster than caffeine passes through young children. People are just naturally drawn to her, each one vying for her attention..and she gladly doles it out.

|| ⌈Personal Weaknesses⌋||
  • Nightmares || Even to this day, memories of her sister’s death still haunts her dreams.. and needless to say, it had led to her being quite the Insomniac. After all, who wants to constantly reply the image of their younger sibling’s brains being blown out..and then you returning the deed?
  • Emotions || Unlike a certain someone, she can’t just easily brush aside her emotions and feelings on a subject.. or a person. And as such, she has become quite defiant and torn towards many aspects about her new life. Particularly when they involve her past, her sister or that aforementioned someone.

|| ⌈Usual Psycho-Pass Level⌋||
Rumoured to be one of the most unstable Enforcers, Seiren is quite disappointing at a first glance. Typically the level is around 110.. nothing special.. until she experiences a spike. What, you thought that rumour was groundless? Depending on the situation, her levels can spike anywhere from 170 to 182.. only once has it been recorded to reach 188.’

|| ⌈Biography⌋||
(Stay with me.. I'm going to keep this as short as I possibly can!)
Seiren's childhood wasn't one that most would have desired..but by no means was it terrible! Aside from her father deserting his newly-mothered wife and only child, there was truly no room in which Seiren could possibly complain. In fact, a single doting parent was far more than enough to make her feel normal..despite the comings and goings of strange men every week. But hey, for a toddler, there wasn't room to question... yet. Then it happened, the one thing that destroyed and shattered her world.. yet, at the same time, gave it meaning and life; her half-sister was born. Mind you, the young girl was brought forth through a one-night stand..but that didn't matter in Seiren's mind. It only mattered that her little baby sister, Sayomi, was the most fragile and lovable thing she had ever laid eyes on. And so, even though the words were not uttered, the elder sister vowed that she would protect her infant sibling despite only being of 3 years. She kept that promise.

When Seiren had turned 5, a new person was suddenly introduced into her life, a boy. Through some fateful connections via parents, this stranger would come to visit and entertain the young girl (more like play devilish pranks on her.. but that's beside the point) for the few hours in which she was freed from the charge of Sayomi, each hour one that she reveled in. Something about this 7 year old had entranced and mesmerized Seiren, something that spark her interest..and as such, she idolized him.

It was mid-way through middle school for her when Seiren was suddenly introduced to the cruel side of fate. That boy she had so much adored, Hayato, was suddenly the center of attention by the press through the actions of which his father committed. Crimes. Evil acts.. things that, for some odd reason, Seiren couldn't wrap her head around like the other children could. Yet, despite the hushed warnings from her classmates, despite the wariness adults were beginning to display towards her, Seiren vainly struggled to help her idol and secure his well being, be it through attempting to quiet the rumors or reprimand those who dared to inflict harm onto him. This was the first of many failures that were to color her future.

Around the middle of her high school year, her childhood friend being in his last year, two unpleasant events struck them. For Hayato, it was his father's demise with a trailing case of his mother's. For Seiren and Sayomi, it was the ill health that struck their single mother. Evidently years of working late night shifts only to take up another a mere five hours later had finally caught up to the middle-aged woman. No sooner than a week later was she hospitalized. Seiren, being the eldest, took on the duties of the household, as well as taking on a side job to secure some form of income.. all while studying and applying for the Police Academy. Zooming through the remaining two years of her primary education, Seiren was finally accepted into the Academy.. unfortunately, the news was bittersweet. A day afterwards of receiving the news, their mother passed. Of course, both sisters managed to make it in the nick of time to say their final farewells..but it didn't matter. This was the first step to a downward spiral of the Torai siblings' life.

Seeing as Seiren was not of age yet, the government stepped in. They made simple demands; the eldest was to go through her academy training, the youngest was to go to a foster home... yet it didn't sit well. Sayomi struggled, naturally.. after all, who would want to be separated from their only family? Luckily, Seiren saw the sense in the proposed plan and she convinced her sibling to go. That was the the worst possible mistake for her to make.

In the academy, she became reacquainted with Hayato..this time, on a more mutually friendly level. Despite both fighting for the top class spot (Hayato defeating Seiren in mental.. however, physically not so much), the two young adults easily became best friends. Oh? I forgot to mention the fact that Seiren skipped two grades in the academy. Silly me. Anyways, when they graduated, they both received jobs at the same station. Then the news came.

Sayomi, now 17 years old, ran away from her foster home and was held under arrest for theft in local convenience stores. She was marked as an Enforcer.. naturally, Seiren signed up to be her Inspector. And they made a hell of a good team.. that is, until 2 months ago. They were on a mission, a simple one really.. no threat was involved. Or so they thought. It went like it normally did; a thorough sweep before heading back. Until Sayomi turned around. An armed gunman had been following them for some time, their peaceful chatter easily drowning him out, and without hesitation, he shot. Holding her sister in her arms, her blood creating a pool around them, something snapped in Seiren. Without hesitation, she attacked the gunman.. and it wasn't a clean death she delivered him. Both arms and 3 fingers broken, his neck snapped and throat ripped open.. she would have tore his body apart if Hayato and the backup hadn't arrived when they did. That 188 was creeping up there after all.. And so, here she is now; a once-respected Inspector now a feared Enforcer, her spikes ones that have everyone on edge.

In a time when most were sleeping, that sacred period in which bliss and utter peace was bestowed onto each individual, was a time in which a particular girl’s attention was consumed by dread. No matter how many times she blindly lashed out to grab hold of slumber’s thread with vain, it always evaded her..and for good reason, one could suppose. After all, it must be taxing on the body to continuously replay those horrific events, to relive those damned memories when others were dreaming up pleasantries...to experience, each night, the death of your beloved family member and the death of your own purity, of your own holiness. And so, here lied Seiren Torai, those crimson orbs straining in that hushed lighting to make out various shapes and scenes in the ceiling’s paint, anything to make the time pass by until she was needed once more.

With a resigned sigh of annoyance, that imagination of which she desperately needed evading her...much like the taken-granted of sleep, she sent a quick flicker over at the clock. 8:15…. I guess that’s enough for today.. mused her stony inner voice, only a slight twinge of bitterness lacing those words. Exhaling once more, the doll-esque girl swung her legs over the side of her bed before gingerly slipping a foot down to make contact with the floor. Giving a slight cringe at the knives and needles pricking up the length of the appendage, Seiren wasted no time in making it’s suit follow. Suppressing a yawn that was clawing it’s way up her throat, the ex-Inspector groggily chased away such human reactions as she clapped her hands together, the soft glow of lights replacing that watery darkness. With a half smile painting it’s way onto her lips, Seiren gave a soft-throated hum as she fluidly moved to the center of the room. Shifting her gaze down to the silver bracelet, the girl made quick work of zooming through the settings before finding the one she wanted; outfit change. Gently tapping the button on the holographic screen, her real body moved in correspondence to it..including changing out of her night wear. Continuing that melodic tune, the Enforcer finally made an appearance outside of her room before making the journey down the hall.

With soft clicks of the boots on the tile, Seiren couldn’t help but feel a pang of loneliness flash across her emotions. God..it’s so deserted around here.. I wonder if anyone else is up resonated that inner voice once more, lighthearted disbelief colouring it. Giving a shake of her head, those ebony strands catching air in the process, that half smile only widened slightly as she slipped inside her designated office. Instantly, that smile became a frown.

The walls were littered with holographic files and pictures of persons related to the serial killer, The Artist, no hit clearly written across a particular one. The one that escaped. Exhaling another soft sigh, Seiren merely gave a shake of her head before crossing the room to lounge on the white leather couch, her booted feet hanging over the arm rest. Leaning over, she snatched up the rubix cube off the coffee table...and much to her annoyance, it was already solved. ”Stop worrying about it..we’ll find him. You’re going to run yourself ragged, Jii-san..and I don’t particularly feel like making you soup and nursing you back to health…” With an annoyed growl, Seiren tossed the solved rubix cube at the end of the couch before huffing out quietly, her head resting against the plush cushions. ”Do you always have to solve them?! God..taking the fun out of it for me.."

Hayato Itsuya

Hayato didn't turn as he heard the door slide open softly. He didn't need to, as the boots heading throughout the halls had alerted him to Seiren's presence before she even appeared. Of course, it could have been another person, but the only offices here were his and Allen's. The rest of the inspectors were on the other wing.

”Stop worrying about it..we’ll find him. You’re going to run yourself ragged, Jii-san..and I don’t particularly feel like making you soup and nursing you back to health…”

As she spoke of Jii-san, he sighed inwardly to himself. He had long gotten use to the nickname "Jii-san." But in his opinion, it was better then what she called him when in the field. Though "Grumpy jackass One" did fit him quite well. Hell, it wouldn't be surprising if she hung out with that other white haired Inspector, with the nicknames she gave him.

Without turning, and instead focusing on the holographic screen he responded with a shrug.

"That's what hospitals are for. You won't have to do that for me." He didn't like facing her and talking. She could always read him easily.

He said simply, as he clicked a few buttons on the screen, to zoom in. The file of Akira Geru popped up on the side of him, and he enlarged the photo. The boy was only 18, yet already had killed someone. From the records,he dropped out of school sometime ago...maybe about three months ago? Had he been associated with the Artist before that? though his train of thought was broken, when her voice cut into the quiet room again, grumbling about the cube he had spent five minutes to solve.

"Rubix cubes are meant to be solved. It's not my fault if it's easy." He muttered under his breath, not really having the energy to argue this early in the morning. He needed his coffee first, then they could butt heads all morning if needed.

Allowing a soft chuckle to fill the space, Seiren couldn't help roll her eyes in exasperation seeing the shrug that accompanied his snippy response. "That's what hospitals are for. You won't have to do that for me." That frown from before now deepened just slightly seeing him not even display the courtesy to look at her when he spoke. Shifting on the leather seating, Seiren narrowed those crimson orbs on him before getting off the plush heaven and voicing her own reply, tone even and blunt. "Oh please..you and I both know rather well that you would never go to the hospital...that is, unless you were dying."

Waltzing over to the polished coffee machine tucked into the corner of the suffocating office, Seiren couldn't help but eye the mahogany hued liquid and how it barely reached the half marker From yesterday I'm assuming... assessed that inner voice, a slight inward smirk giving the comment life. Sliding her gaze over at Hayato, another sigh was given as she observed him becoming engrossed in work once more. But then again..she would have been lying entirely if she denied she had interest in this case also... after all, for young people to be involved is quite rare."Only 18..and he has condemned himself.." came her under the breath whisper, pity making a rare appearance on her features and voice. Reaching for the glass pot, every intent to wash it out for him on her mind, the Enforcer dislodge the container from it's nesting roost before casting another glance over at the targeted criminal's photo. I don't understand anymore.. Throwing away your livelihood for something like this.. The world has become twisted, hasn't it? whispered her melancholic thoughts, a bitter taste lingering on her tongue from the stated monologue. Luckily, the white-haired man unknowingly broke the inner tension with his gloating.

"Rubix cubes are meant to be solved. It's not my fault if it's easy." came his mutter, a certain smugness adding depth to the simple line. Shooting daggers into the back of his head via her scarlet gaze, Seiren gave a small huff of indignation, personal offense being taken."So what if they are easy?! They are still my favorite thing to do and you just go around solving them -" Abruptly, the Enforcer's words were cut short mid-rant as a familiar pain pulsed in her head. Gritting her jaw at the alien discomfort, Seiren vainly shook her head in an attempt to brush it away..and failing. The pain only seem to have increased the more she resisted, it's urgency tauntingly persistent in making her morning miserable. Without fully thinking it through, her other hand reached up to accompany it's pair in massaging it's temples... that is, until the shattering brought her back to reality. With a blank stare, the headache suddenly vanishing, Seiren stared down at the ruined glass, the dark liquid already making haste in staining the coffee. Oops..[/center]

"Oh please..you and I both know rather well that you would never go to the hospital...that is, unless you were dying."

Hayato let out an annoyed sigh at the girls response. Yes that was true. He would never, ever go to the hospital unless he was dying. It was a pain in the ass, and not to mention you'd have to deal with the annoying nurses, stupid doctors who prick with needles for fun, and the annoying and incessant beeping of machines. He could never stay in there for more then an hour.

He blinked as he heard liquid sloshing around. She must have found the coffee pot he left out yesterday. Probably was gonna drink it, though before she could she must have heard his mutter. She exploded at him, going into the lapse of her dark moment like some enforcers do. He turned swiftly to see her holding her head. Before he could speak, she had dropped the innocent coffee holding object to the floor, allowing the copper liquid spread on the floor.

"Dammit! Are you alri-" He cut himself off, before speaking the last word. He cursed under his breath, as he bent down, picking up the shards of glass. He didn't look up at his task, until all the bigger shards of glass were in his hand. He stood back up, throwing the shards away.

Hayato clicked on a few buttons, muttering something about clumsy women, and a small machine came in, sucking in the smaller shards he missed, and cleaning the coffee in a matter of seconds. The machine finished its job, then left out the door to go back until summoned again.

He wiped his hands on a paper towel, and checked his palm for small cuts as he turned back to the computerized wall, returning his attention back to the screen and crime files that lay all across the screen.

"Be careful next time." he muttered under his breath, as he continued to watch the security footage going on all over the city. Hayato made a mental note of getting another coffee pot when he went to the break room later on.

Takeru Kazami
Image

Waking up early was something Takeru was long-accustomed to, given his 'spy' lifestyle he had been living. In fact, he had to adjust his schedules on many different occasions for many different reasons, so falling into a constant 8:00AM routine was somewhat of a relief to the young man. While he could easily wake up as early as he had to, he felt it would not appear very 'criminal-like' to be right on time, so thusly, he decided to set his clock to about 8:20, so that it seemed like he got up much slower than he actually did.

As the cacophonous noise of the alarm rang out, nearly giving him a headache, he slowly pushed himself to get out of bed. Even though he was used to it, beds were always the most allouring when you were supposed to leave them. He swung his feet to the side of the bed, sat himself up, and waited for a few seconds. Getting up too quickly made your head rush. Another day, another act. This was his motto and his way of life. Living life with multiple established personalities... it was not the easiest thing in the world. He oftentimes questioned if he had a real self, or if his character in its entirety was fabricated. Nobody alive knew what he was really like, so he thought this was a definite possibility. Maybe, in reality, there was no Takeru Kazami. Maybe he had fooled himself into believing things like that after being undercover for so long. He couldn't deny this. But... there wasn't exactly evidence of this either. After all, Kyousuke Kazami had died, and he most certainly led a group of criminals along with his wife, Sumika Kazami. Furthermore, he left a will stating that Takeru Kazami must be married before he can establish himself as head of the 'corporation', so obviously there is a Takeru Kazami.

Yes.... he's just scaring himself.

....

....

....

....

Takeru had done what most other people did immediately after awaking: he tidied up. His teeth were brushed, his body washed, his food devoured, and his clothes put on. When he had finished, he left for the HQ. In actuality, this all took about seven minutes. He was quick to get these things done, and although he certainly wanted to enjoy the hot water running on his body in the shower, he couldn't be too late or he'd possibly miss something. But such swiftness in the morning was only possible because he woke up quickly. Doing work for many different people had made him this way, so you could say there were other bonuses to working as a 'spy'.

He stepped outside of his room wearing a far different look than before. His movements were... slightly erratic, and he did not appear to be meeting with police, or people like them. In fact, with the air he gave off, one might think he was entering an asylum. Given the odd, innocent (but not really) smile on his face, it was possible. People who were originally disturbed by his demeanor allowed him through, knowing who and what he was, after he showed them the required ID. His destination was, of course, to meet with 'Mr.Stick-UHA-kun', an inside (not really) nickname he gave to Inspector Itsuya. Considering how much 'Takeru' complained that Hayato had a piece of wood up his rectum, many accurately guessed what the extra characters stood for. Among him, there should have been his own Inspector, and that woman who used to be one, but was now an Enforcer like Takeru himself. An odd bunch they were. He imagined other people in the building giving their group special attention within their gossip circle, for they were among the most.... 'unique' groups of Inspector/Enforcers there were.

Takeru briefly wondered if it would be in character to hurt others for teasing him.

"Be careful next time."

As the Enforcer waltzed into the office without regard for any tact whatsoever, he picked up the last line of whatever conversation Inspect Itsyua and Enforcer Torai were having beforehand. Something happen, I wonder? Probably nothing important. Takeru figured they bumped into each other, or she gave herself a papercut. He had rational, normal thoughts about the situation, but he also picked up that Itsuya acted a bit odd when he thought he was alone with Torai. Character, is what it was. If it were anyone else, he might've told them off, and been angry...er. He didn't seem baby-butt soft, but he did seem softer than usual just then. This further reinforced some theories about the two of them that Takeru had, but more information would be needed before Takeru could make any assumptions.

Anyway, while Takeru made normal guesses as to what had just happened, 'Takeru' had the exact opposite thought process. As such, when he entered, he entered saying, "I'm more ashamed of you, Stick-kun! You should always wrap it before you tap it!" he claimed in a rather inconsiderate voice and also letting everyone else in the building around him know he was there.

In the surrounding rooms, many un-named Inspectors and Enforcers alike sighed.

"I do enjoy my explosions, but those kind are.... " he pinched his nose and made a strange face similar to what a child did when he smelled something awful. "Just keep that kinda talk to yourself, please."

Sakiko woke up to a very odd morning, starting with her falling off her bed. From there, it went to using her brother's toothbrush, and then to forgetting to eat as she was on her way to her new job; being an inspector. Honestly though, there was no special reason for why she wanted, and somehow, became an inspector, 'Dad did it, so I will too.' Is what she told herself while heading to the building, deciding to walk rather than take any type of car or vehicle.

She glanced down at the map she had in her hands. Even though it was her second week on the job, she still had her troubles trying to get there and making her way to her office, "W-Which way again?" She asked herself, still feeling very anxious to go to her work since she didn't blend in, at all.

Saki wasn't like the others who worked there. She was most definitely not a criminal, she wasn't serious, and she hardly even looked like an adult. This always brought her down when she thought of it, but she decided not to pay any attention to it. After all, she wouldn't let things get to her that easily. She had to be tougher than her appearance to take on the job she currently does.

But still, she wasn't exactly 'Inspector material.' Her clumsiness proved this, and she often tripped and dropped things if she wasn't chasing a criminal down. Still, Saki did have her good and bad qualities, both as a regular woman and as an inspector.

After finally arriving at the right building, she then had to find out which floor, and which room. She knew she wasn't alone with her enforcer, but there would also be another pair with them. Saki didn't mind more people, but she did get insanely nervous around them since they were all over five years older than her. Was she really that young? Apparently so.

After finally finding an elevator to get to the right floor, she studied the map, but couldn't see well, so first, she began to clean her glasses and did it quickly since more people began to pour into the elevator, making her feel uncomfortable since she was slightly claustrophobic. But she took this time to study her map and instructions to her room with the others; her enforcer, Takeru, and the other duo, Seiren and Hayato.

Once she finally got off the elevator, after waiting for the other people to get off on their stop, she arrived on the right floor. Well, she thought and hoped she did, but Saki confirmed this after asking someone else for directions, and pointed her in the right way, "T-Thank you!" She stuttered, again, and ran off.

Saki started in a dash for her office, checking the time on her phone every now and then, nearly bumping into a few other workers along the way, 'Nice going for making a first impression...' She pouted to herself, yet continued her sprint anyways.

Lucky her. She wasn't as late as she expected, "G-Good morning!" Saki announced to the three after arriving at her office. She yelled it a little loudly, even though she was out of breath, but perhaps that was just because she was nervous, as she always was.

That moment of weakness vanished as soon as it appeared.. thankfully. However, while she escaped unscathed from the events, the coffee pot had a worse fate. Seiren could only just stand and merely frown at the mess she created, a blur of black and white briefly distracting her attention. Before a retort or a mew of protest could have been uttered, Hayato was at her side with a new set of demands, demands of which concerned her well being. "Dammit! Are you alri-" began his words, his own tongue inflicting their demise. Opening her own mouth to respond, the Enforcer was about to reassure him that she was completely safe before closing it once more at the slew of hushed curses that reached her ears. With a frown taking up residency once more, her mind begun it’s battle on whether or not she should assist her Inspector in the tedious task of shard-picking...that is, before her inner voice whispered to her, swiftly putting an end to the debate. You’ve caused enough trouble..just let him do his thing and be done with it.

Within a matter of moments, the carpet was freed from the glass splinters and Hayato was back at his computer, the room relapsing back into a moment of stifling silence. "Be careful next time." floated out his hidden mutter, that twinge of apathy coloring it once more. With a small huff, Seiren merely glanced back down at her clenching fists before unclenching them, a habit she developed when struck with uncertainty or agitation, her own reply coming out just slightly frosty. ”Yeah, alright… Though it’s not like I did it intentionally...Can’t really control it..” It’s not my fault those headaches randomly appear, you know.. mused those stone-laced thoughts, that frown deepening to one side. It was then he waltzed into the office, a slightly idiotic smile plastered onto his face.

"I'm more ashamed of you, Stick-kun! You should always wrap it before you tap it!" came Takeru’s childish declaration, apparently alerting everyone of his presence..as if the sliding door wasn’t enough. With a soft sigh, Seiren replaced that frown with a half-smirk, those crimson orbs now gleaming with amusement. Opening her mouth to greet the new person, such intentions were ruined with the continuation of his speech. "I do enjoy my explosions, but those kind are.... Just keep that kinda talk to yourself, please." Quirking an eyebrow at his childish accusations and expression, distaste quickly stamped its appearance onto Seiren’s features...perhaps mostly likely due to the lack of knowledge she possessed in figuring out what he was referring to. With a shake of her head, the reprimandation came softly, masked by the sigh that followed. ”Takeru…….. you should keep such comments to yourself. Especially so early in the morning..you are disturbing everyone.” Sending a quick glance over at Hayato, the ex-Inspector retrained her gaze back onto the rambunctious young man, a guarded smile tossed his way. ”Late, aren’t you? What..not excited to meet your new Inspector?” sang out her joking tone, teasing quite blatant in the words.

Before she had time to even blink, the door flew open once more to reveal a girl of small stature and clothes a size too big.. yet, one thing instantly stood out to Seiren...and lets just say she hated it. S..she’s actually taller... than me!? fumed her outraged thoughts, disbelief more or less causing such a reaction versus anger. Keeping that gaze on the newbie, a slight frown placed itself onto her mouth as the young women went through the formalities.

Takeru Kazami

”Takeru…….. you should keep such comments to yourself. Especially so early in the morning..you are disturbing everyone.” Seiren sighed. She had probably just figured he wasn't ever going to listen, and putting any effort into her words was meaningless. He'd have to say it was a smart move.

"They need to wake up anyway. Too much sleep makes you sleepy, and sleepy people are boring people." Takeru explained as he took his a step away from the door he had just entered through.

”Late, aren’t you? What..not excited to meet your new Inspector?” she asked. He felt like it was teasing. Well, 'Takeru' did.

The young man shook his head in disagreement. "No, quite the opposite. I'm hoping my new one won't be as boring as the last. After all, that man's most exciting moment in life was probably the end of that, and it was laughable at best how he died. Could've gone out in a much more spectacular way but.... nope. Boring, just like him. If there's any chance of having someone not BORING-" he shot a glance at Hayato, then returned it to Seiren as he continued. "- then I'll be glad or maybe even excited!"

Ah yes, I think her name was Sakiko? All I heard was that she was a new recruit, which makes me question what they were thinking. I know I have a pretty high level, so they pass me on to someone who is inexperienced? Maybe they think their guns keep them safe. My last Inspector learned that lesson the hard way, and now I might have to look over this person to make sure they're not killed. Wouldn't want to keep switching people. Harder to manipulate people within a shorter timespan, after all.

Takeru was about to take a seat when suddenly....

"G-Good morning!" came a small but loud voice, causing Takeru to change his attention to the cause.

G-good morning? Someone spray her with something, the stench of nervousness makes me puke! I really hope I don't need backup anytime ever. I don't think she'll be much help.... Ah, but I should greet her.

"Hola! How are you? You must be.... " he paused, as if to think. After an awkward amount of time, he continued. "Sa-chan! I've been waiting for you, you know. Been here forever, ask these guys. Well, nevermind, don't ask them. Instead, what is your favorite food? Is it bananas? Don't answer that, I'd hate to know. Instead, I'll introduce myself. I am Takeru Kazami, but you can call me." he shot the young woman a wink but then continued on immediately. "I just noticed something.... " Takeru's glance quickly shot to Seiren, then back to Sakiko. This process repeated.... five times.

"You're taller than her." he smiled. "But it is definitely not a problem. She gets by with her impediment with ease. Don't bring it up though or she'll get madder than a midget with a yo-yo, and you don't want that." this felt like a good amount of rambling to Takeru. He couldn't think of anymore gibberish to spit out, and honestly, he was even annoyed at himself. Plus, he could tell someone was self-conscious about their height just by body language. He wouldn't be surprised if that's the first thing Seiren noticed about his new Inspector.

He might've been in deep water, too.

Oh well, burning bridges narrows choices.

Hayato Itsuya

Hayato surprisingly was able to stop the urge to smack the newcomer. The enforcer who had walked in was a constant annoyance to his side, and he could never get used to his stupid ways or that retarded nickname he had given him. It worse then the other white haired inspector stupidity...or just about the same.

Like most inspectors, he ignored the comments that came out of the enforcer's mouth. It was never really important, and half the time...like now for instance. He had just decided to ignore the comment, as he continued to go through the history of the cameras and other case files. It was just annoying he had to deal with this alone. Where was the new girl...Uenomi right? He held back a sigh, as he took a glance toward the man. He could never fathom on how he had such a high psycho-pass yet acted like a little brat...which was only one of the reasons why he didn't trust him.

Though, that enforcer's talking was countered by Seiren, much to his relief. He didn't feel like arguing today.

A beeping from the holographic wall brought his attention back to the screen. Clicking on view, the camera brought up a video surveillance of a motel called "Hagekure." He zoomed in, to see a hooded figure turning slightly to see his full face tahnkfully. Clicking pause, the video stopped, and he zoomed in. More buttons pushed, facial recognition activated, and confirmed the match was at least 87%...good enough to check out. The video said it was 3:47 AM today.

Did that mean another body was in the possession of that screwed up bastard? A frown entered his features, as he scowled slightly at the screen. It was also possible that it wasn't him, or he'll be gone for that matter.

It didn't matter, though a loud voice rang out of nowhere. He winced a bit, as the voice echoed, the scowling deepening further, as he looked toward the new comer. There was the new inspector. He sighed, before just saying a single phrase.

"Your late."

With that said, he clicked on a button, and the holographic wall quickly lit up, and he sent it to the other inspectors. It was a lead, so he'd have to go over it with them later when they met up. With that done, he turned to Seiren.

"Torai, Get some security drones around the Hagekure Motel. Geru might be there right now." He said coolly, and quickly before turning toward the new inspector.

"You, come with me." He said curtly, before turning and walking out of the office. He did slowdown his pace a bit, just so the girl could follow.

Shouichi Byakurai

ImageThis time he was able to hear footsteps before the quiet inspector made an appearance. Usually, he would say at least a word of greeting and he'd jump out of surprise...he should attach a bell to him or something...like a cat... but it seemed like today, he was actually paying attention, focusing on the quiet footsteps that signaled the other's arrival.

Shouichi shot him a grin, and responded back happily. "Morning Geo-kun! Having a nice day so far?" He asked, the childish grin never leaving his face. Shouichi had made it a habit of at least trying to get that quiet introvert to talk to him, more and more everyday. He'd like to think it was slowly working.

Though before the other man could respond, the door opening, revealing the dark hair enforcer. He laughed a bit at her question when she walked in, before waving at her with his hand up.

"I missed you Tete-chan! Good morning!" The stupid looking grin never leaving his face as he spoke. It was a common thing for her to come in like that, so he had gotten used to it. Even the "kid" nickname didn't bother him at all...well it never did in the first place, but it was a weird name.

He was at least a year older then the woman.

Though, he did hear the question that she asked the other inspector, and he sighed. It was really hard to be in the room with two smokers. He didn't want lung cancer. Luckily Mako-chan didn't smoke. Speaking of which, where was she?

"Tete-chan? Geo-kun? Don't smoke in here! The stench always stays in here." he asked, putting his hands together in a begging form of sort. Though that easy going grin was still on his face.

Though while he faced away from his computer, it let out a short light beep, to show new mail had come in.

"Your late." The one with silver hair said.

"I-Im sorry..." Was all she could make out quietly, nervous about talking to older people. Up next spoke the brown haired man afterwards.

"Hola! How are you? You must be...."

"M-My name is-" Sakiko began, about to say her name but her stuttering took up far too much of her time, so she was unable to finish. But the brown haired man seemed to have already known her name.

"Sa-chan!"

"Yes!" Saki said, as if she was reporting in for something. She had been so anxious and so stiff, since it was her first job ever, that she didn't even know how to talk casually anymore.

"I've been waiting for you, you know. Been here forever, ask these guys. Well, nevermind, don't ask them. Instead, what is your favorite food? Is it bananas? Don't answer that, I'd hate to know. Instead, I'll introduce myself. I am Takeru Kazami, but you can call me."

"S-Sorry for being late... I got lost here along the way." She said while rubbing the back of her neck, only the tips of her finger reaching her neck since the rest of her hand was covered in the oversized wool jacket she wore, "My... favorite food?" She wondered, not knowing why someone would ask her that, but she responded by saying, "A-Anything sweet, I guess... And nice to meet you, Mr. Kazami!" She said, bowing very respectfully and politely.

Various thoughts ran through her head, 'T-These people are all years older than me... They must think I'm just a child!' She thought, frightened of the fact that she'd be looked down upon.

"I just noticed something.... "

Saki saw Takeru's eyes shift from her, to the woman slightly shorter than her, and then back to her as he said, "You're taller than her."

"R-Really?" Saki asked, accidentally letting a bit of an excite tone hint at her voice. She couldn't help it. Saki was always being called short and was always presumed to be a teenager, even a child at some points, even though she was already 21 years of age. When she was taller than someone, anyone really, it made her a bit more confident and happy, but she struggled not to show the smile on her face, despite the other woman's surprised looking face.

"But it is definitely not a problem. She gets by with her impediment with ease. Don't bring it up though or she'll get madder than a midget with a yo-yo, and you don't want that."

Saki glanced at him for a moment, 'Did he recognize the mistake he just made?' She asked herself as her eyes shifted back to the other woman, sure that she would lash out at him or something of the sort. But, just as he said, she said nothing of it and just nodded with a smile.

"Torai, Get some security drones around the Hagekure Motel. Geru might be there right now." Saki all of a sudden heard Hayato say, making her jump a bit from a different voice coming out of no where, but trying her best not to show it too much. If she was going to prove she wasn't as flimsy as she looked, she'd have to begin with first impressions. Unfortunately for her, that wasn't going too well.

"You, come with me." Hayato told Sakiko as he walked out of the office. Saki immediately followed, no complaints, no words. His pace wasn't too fast, so she didn't struggle to try and keep up, but it did make her wonder exactly where he was taking her.

'Maybe it's like a thing they do for newcomers?' She hoped. At least, she hoped it wasn't anything bad that she got herself in trouble with. Deciding to take her chances, she said in a quiet, squeaky and small voice, "U-Um... where are we going, sir?" She quickly added in the sir, just for respect as she usually would.

Seiren slid her narrowed orbs to land on the other Enforcer, annoyance clearly stamped onto her fine features at his heedless comment. Exhaling a soft sigh and retraining her attention to the new figure and Hayato, the woman shifted to cross her arms over her chest as he barked out orders, his tone never once wavering from the frosty appeal. As her Inspector turned and left the room, Seiren hissed out softly, distaste lacing each syllable.Aye aye, captain.. Whatever you say." With that added infliction of sarcasm on captain, the woman gave another sigh before flickering her gaze back onto Takeru with a half-hearted smile replacing that scowl. "Looks like we were hung out to dry again, huh? Sucks...they get to waltz off and all.." mused her metacognitive voice, a slight hint of disappointment giving life to the words.

With an under-the-breath chortle, Seiren waltzed her way over to Mr. Grumpy Jackass's computer before glancing back over at Takeru with a sly grin. Sliding with grace into the plush leather chair, crimson eyes narrowed on the screen in front of her, the woman took a moment of pause to crack her knuckles before giving a roll of her shoulders. "Hey Takeru.. have you ever been allowed to work on these computers?" rang out her casual question, a soft silence falling over the room. However, that peace lasted for a mere second before the tapping of keys shattered it, the pace of the sound almost unearthly in speed. Keeping her eyes glued to the holographic screen in front of her, Seiren bite her bottom lip in concentration as new windows and "success" messages appeared before vanishing... in all honesty, the speed and accuracy that Seiren was moving in was almost inhumanely robotic. Before even ten minutes passed, the security drones were well on their way to their designated spot.

With a tired sigh, the ex-Inspector finally allowed her fingers to rest for a minute, her mutter coming out without really addressing anyone. "You know..when I was an Inspector, I was always assigned the computer work.. Maybe it's because I type rather fast or-" Seiren's words were cut short as something caught her attention; a file labelled "RESTRICTED", her stature immediately going rigid at it's appearance. With a slight frown painting it's way on her lips, the Enforcer absentmindedly moved to click on it. Instantly, files upon files of an Inspector being demoted to Enforcer flew to the center of the screen, the sight of the miserable-looking man ringing a bell within her. Is that....? Hayato's.....dad?! rang out the surprised inner voice, her hand swiftly moving to click out of it. Sending a nervous glance over at Takeru, the woman gave a slight swallow before getting back out of the chair. "Well..that was easy.. so, what do you want to do now?"

With one last glance over at the blank computer screen, Seiren exhaled once more before crossing to the couch and flopping down on it. Hayato..I wonder.. why does he still have those..? mused her confused thoughts, a frown appearing once more. With another glance sent his way, Seiren thoughtfully chewed at her bottom lip before venturing. "So.........you can fight right..? Wanna practice..seeing as they just left us here.."

Takeru Kazami
Image

Both Inspectors seemed to disappear rather quickly, with Takeru's own, new Inspector giving him feeble excuses for replies and further reinforcing his doubts as to whether or not she should actually be here. However, he felt she might be able to be tricked or intimidated into 'accidentally relieving valuable classified information' if she had any in her mind whatsoever, so he figured she wouldn't be just dead weight in that regard. He could at least get something out of her. But that would be for a later time, for now it was simply just Takeru and Seiren, the woman he had probably pissed off but a few minutes ago.

His fellow Enforcer complained with a juicy amount of sarcasm before beginning to work on her task, which involved computers. But before she got to far, possibly due to boredom or annoyance, she addressed Takeru. "Hey Takeru.. have you ever been allowed to work on these computers?" she asked him. He gave it a couple of seconds before replying in a somewhat docile tone.

"Never. But I think they figure I'm no good with computers anyway." he answered. It was more probable that they just didn't trust him enough to let him near the computers. While most may be password-protected and/or encrypted anyways. Guess the phrase, 'You can never be too safe.' applies here. But it's still likely they just think he's an idiot who couldn't use computers if he tried. Great way to underestimate someone, but that just meant that his guise is working like a charm.

Since standing in the middle of the room felt somewhat awkward, Takeru walked towards the nearest chair and sat himself down, resting his elbows on his legs and relaxing his chin on his fingers. But, as he remembered how similar a pose this was to the Thinker, he sat up straight and tried to forget about it. Damn... he's even got me unable to relax now.... It pained him to think about his dead parents. They were just beginning to seem like what everyone else talked about too. And that.... that thing took them away from him, all for something he should have had no information on. That thing was top-secret! Fuck, even the government couldn't know about it! Well, considering what that was.... if they knew about it his entire gang would be dead by now. That's why he was confident it wasn't someone here.

Takeru exhaled lightly. Seiren was working on the computer, so he had nothing to do but muse. Even he himself had already had enough of the foolish bantering that he was doing earlier, and if he could settle down while he had the chance, that'd be lovely. Takeru tried remembering something about his true past, something he could call a 'fond memory'. He wanted to think back and enjoy things, not anger himself. He was all alone here and he had been alone his whole life, so maybe that had been why he was so devastated when his parents died immediately after seeming like people who cared. It was nobody's fault but his own that he had betrayed any 'friends' he had ever had, but that still didn't mean he never wanted something like that. But fate decreed it impossible for him to live a life like others. He had work to do, and if he died after accomplishing it, then he couldn't complain.

"....you want to do now?"

He almost didn't register the fact that he was being spoken to, and that was unlike the ruse he was supposed to be keeping up. 'Takeru' would have been complaining about boredom or playing tricks on Seiren if he were bored, not thinking about things. 'Takeru' didn't think much after all. Too many more slip-ups and someone might break through the wall he set up. Not a good thing at all.

"So.........you can fight right..? Wanna practice..seeing as they just left us here.."

Fight? I hope she knows what she's getting into. Does she even know how to? I'm pretty sure Inspectors are typically wimps when it comes to hand-to-hand, which is what I'm assuming she's talking about. If so, this is a dumb idea on her part, and I don't particularly like beating women up for no reason other than a whim.

Takeru raised in eyebrow in surprise. "You want to spar?" in disbelief. He honestly didn't peg her for the type. "Are you sure you can? I hope you're not talking about a verbal argument..."

Takeru..is acting kind of odd.. assessed her inner thoughts, a wary tone giving a breath of life to them. After all, under normal circumstances, he would have gone about relentlessly teasing her or made some remark, some expression, to show how much he truly needed a form of entertainment at all times otherwise he would "die". With a soft hum, a trademark of hers to show she was in deep thought, Seiren latched her scrutinizing gaze onto Takeru as the man stole a few seconds to process what she had said.

"You want to spar? Are you sure you can? I hope you're not talking about a verbal argument..." came his reply, disbelief and shock colouring their edges. Instinctively, her orbs narrowed into cat-like slits as personal offense to his comment came rushing in, anger and pride now fueling her actions. As calmly and vainly as she could, Seiren crossed with room with feline-esque grace before pausing at the computer desk once more. Almost with a boredom glazing over her stone-vise glare, the ex-Inspector extended a hand forward to hover over the six glistening ballpoint pens arranged so cleanly in their cup. Finally deciding on one, a black case with gold scrawling, Seiren delicately plucked it out from the container before removing its safety cap. Then she, too, held a moment of stillness. Abruptly, and without really any warning, she spun while throwing it, much like a dart. A mere few centimeters away from Takeru's head, the pen became lodged into the plush leather, it's hilt buried.

Once more crossing the room, the Enforcer halted in front of the man, a feral look now gleaming in her eyes, her pass level starting to creep. "Come now...don't be a coward, Takeru. I promise I'll go easy on you." came her icy words, a hint of challenge echoing in them. After all, this was a side not many had the horrific pleasure of experiencing..and she intended to ride it out for as long as possible.
