An ancient Lich from before the Colonization, A dark spirit left over from a forgotten time.
Intelligence: Morohtar has lived since before the Colonization, and has been learning and gathering information ever since. He has an almost unfathomable knowledge of the past. He is also a master in Enchanting, Necromancy, and Dark Magic. He has no true understanding of the customs of other races, and cannot comprehend feelings and emotion.
Humor: Doesn't really have a sense of humor, and will often not realize you are trying to be funny. He does enjoy riddles, however, and will often bring them up in conversation.
A sword of Dark Elven make. His phylactery, the black diamond, is embedded in the hilt of the sword.
Rilyn Urden, or the House of Shadows. Morohtar's lair in the Wildlands of the Otherworld. The castle's black halls house the King of Shadows' horde of undead.
At the foot of Morohtar's throne lies a scrying pool. With it, Morohtar can see the happenings of the Otherworld and Earth. And legend has it that he can even see the future with the pool's black magic.
Morohtar was a Dark Elf enchanter in his first life. He was well skilled in enchanting, but his true (and forbidden) passion was Dark Magic. Soon, his obsession with Dark Magic was discovered, and he was deemed to dangerous to continue to live. Before he was put to death, he preformed one last enchantment. He poured his very life into his chosen phylactery, a black diamond. On the day of his execution, he finished the ritual. he transformed his body into a living shadow, bound to the black diamond. With his new body, he escaped the elves and made his way to an abandoned castle on the outskirts of the Svartalfa kingdom. There, with his old identity forgotten, he assumed the name Morohtar Barrurdan, and became the King of the Shadows.
He watched as the Colonization took place from his dark fortress. He watched as the Earth lords awoke, and as they were defeated. He sat in his castle as the world around him slowly began to evolve. He sat upon his throne and watched the world. He watched and waited for the chance to avenge himself against the Svartalfa. He waited for the Barrier to break, and Samhain to bathe the Earth in night forever.
