Callsign: Dunk
AI: Ashe
AI Personality: Ashe has a condescending attitude when she addresses Hunter, she finds his overall attitude and behavior to be immature and as such treats him like a child. If she isn't being sarcastic and condescending to her partner she speaks in a rather eloquent tone, it's those moments that scare Hunter the most...from there she can switch to whining and she whines well enough to drive him insane. When she addresses others, she is quite formal and polite, with none of the attitude and sarcasm present. She also is a genuine joy to talk, if she were a human, she'd be the life of any party she walked into.

Notable Physical Traits: keeps a well trimmed beard and mustache.
Personality: Hunter is generally lazy and apathetic in appearance but when it's business time, he means business. On the battlefield, he's like a child at play, which is in fact what's going on as far as he's concerned, but by no means is he a battle maniac. Just like his AI, he also talks with a lot of sarcasm and is eager to make fun of just about anything. A great example is that he calls being dropped from orbit a Chaos Dunk, while any other free drop mission is merely Dunking the enemy. If something really big and or dangerous shows up on the battlefield, it's become common practice to turn on his mic as he'll do a shrill scream of excitement before calling dibs about a dozen times. But he'll also bitch about a boring fight.
That being said, aside or maybe because of his attitude he's actually very easy to handle if one figures out how to make it sound fun, or use his basics drives: adrenaline, food and a certain appendage that makes all men dumb at times. Granted the last one is rather hard to pick up on, after all sexual harassment seems like a form of greeting to him, if not breathing. He's childish in his approach to it, like it's a game...his default approach to life, but it still has its influences with him. With that being said, he harasses both men and women despite openly claiming to be straight, and while it'd kill him to admit it he's still a nice guy.
Likes/Dislikes: Games, competition, music, food and relaxing
Quirks: Hunter is prone to zoning out when he thinks, frequently reverting to autopilot when it occurs complete with vacant expression. He's also very easily distracted, if someone is waving something around in a conversation, he's more likely to tune them out and follow the object. He is prone to touching in a conversation, either leaning on or having someone lean on him.
Equipment/Training History: Hunter had been trained with the other Spartans since the young age of five, he was one of the youngest in the program. Early on he had established himself as a problem child, never following orders and frequently shirking off to do his own thing. He would have been dropped from the program, except they found he had a fascination with swords after breaking into the weapons locker. With time of play, with was actually training with the swords as a reward, he started to behave like the instructors wanted him. During this period, they believed that getting him to work in a unit was impossible, so they focused his training entirely on Independent Action Operations, or course with sword time as his reward. Since he was naturally ambidextrous, he was trained in dual wielding them from the get go and he proved best at high speed strikes and counters.
In a fight, he likes to get in close as fast as possible and let his circular yet precise dual style handle his enemies. If he isn't able to use his swords, he'll use any other weapon that's best for the job. As part of independent operations, he carries any gear he made need on his own person this includes: his prized swords, a set of pistols and an assault riffle that can be stripped down and converted with a sniper rifle, all using the same round. At This is a detail many harp on since on a team, there is no need for him to carry the extra gear. He still insists on carrying it, claiming that it's effectively back up gear for everyone else; a detail few can argue against. It's still suspected that he carries it around out of spite. His suit has a built in jet pack, but he uses it to enhance his ability to evade and move quickly as apposed to flying through the air. If he happens to be unable to use his blades and run out of ammo, he can go hand-to-hand; after all Spartans and trained to be masters of everything on the field. It still stands that is specialty is blades and he sticks to his swords as much as possible.
Biography:Hunter was born in the year 2562 to an ODST and a researcher who had worked with Spartans and had come to borderline worship their existence, so when the Spartan V program was created they eagerly signed their son up as a prospect. He grew up hearing endless stories of Spartans, and a typical military brat life. While his abilities weren't as high as the other candidates, his ability to learn and adapt to situations were well above expected margins, leading to his acceptance into the program.
First day of training occurred before he had turned six, in terms of age he was the fourth youngest in the entire program. He proved to be a problem child from day one, a massive disappointment to his parents but he wasn't allowed to contact them during this time. Things grew ever worse, until one month into the program which was when they discovered his love of blades. After that, the scientists and instructors began getting the results that they were expected: his adaptation and learning rates were through the roof and his body seemed to naturally understand the basics.
By age nine, the data hinted that his growth rate in terms of ability was the highest amongst the recruit, which was readily noted. It was also at this time that they began training him in independent operations, it was deemed rather early to conduct this training. But with the rate he was learning, and his general attitude nearly forced the event to occur, after all it's easier to waste a bit of effort on a product yet to be completed than to jeopardize the entire batch. They also switched from drills, which he hated to live combat simulations in order to train him...this also seemed the better training method. But from that point on, he was directly supervised by older Spartans for optimal results. The end result: by augmentation time, his blade work was unmatched and he could hold his own against anything but either a super elite or specialist in a given combat field.
Augmentation had proven to be a dreamlike procedure for surgeons, it was the text book version of ideal. It was during rehabilitation that the problems showed up, his body began a positive feedback reaction with the augmentations. Further analysis showed that his body was desperate to bond with the enhancements. His rehabilitation required many drugs to keep his body from bonding too much the add-ons and even induce some rejections to keep him stable. But after nearly half a year, he finally pulled through. His training began as soon as he was able, and he had a lot to catch up on, he was now severely behind his fellows. During this time, they reintegrated him back into the main program and after further evaluation he was no longer fit for Independent Action, the augments had gotten rid of his natural edge. To make up for this, his remaining training time was spent nearly entirely focused on team work and functioning within a unit. During this time he was shunted across no less than a dozen teams(accumulating extreme amounts of practical experience) until they found the perfect match with Team Halsey.
When he was twenty-one he finally got Ashe, and the relationship between the two of them was established within the first minute of their meeting. The two were separated but after a series of trials it was determined that the two of them worked best together. His armor looks different than standard armor, a lot like samurai armor of old, but much sleeker. The Orihalcum resulting in a black coloring and making the suit significantly tougher than what one would expect. His body is extremely well formed, like chiseled marble and he's never been shy about it...more like overly open with it. He has a reputation of spiting women by ignoring things such as looks and openly flirting with just about everyone, mostly due to a lack of idea of his commitment to a relationship.
When they were being deployed to Bacchius Prime, he'd endlessly begged to Chaos Dunk to the surface. Of course this action was denied since it was not necessary under operating conditions, he's bitched about it ever since.
