a character in “Hand of Justice: Time of Need”, as played by MegaCheeseyMonkey

Description

Name: Maxxime Arthoren, (Mirage)
Age/grade: 17, 12th grade
Appearance: His looks, his shirt, his pants and his shoes
Personality: Max is cold and serious, usually staying quiet to himself except for when he's speaking to his best friend Madison. He is usually found studying hard or at a job. On his free time, he loves kicking asses as Mirage. Mirage is as cold as Maxx when inside of battle, but is also some type of alter ego when he's out of battle. He's usually seen fooling around, swinging from here and there while not caring much about orders.
Weapons: The internet is amazing no? I mean, everything here can be found on Ebay! His trusty crossbow that he has no idea what he's doing, his katana that kendo classes helped him a ton to use and his knife. He has a grappling mechanism on his crossbow allowing it to act like a grappling gun if needed.
Suit: His suit.
(The green uniform under it is usually not on, mostly for agility and free movement reasons. He does have it though.) and his Mask
his Glasses to keep on his eyes. They are black and adorned to the top are a series of lights he uses in the dark.
History: Maxxime comes from a somewhat healthy family. His parents are divorced and both of them are barely passing in budget. He treats his mother like he would treat a whore since she remarried 3 times and then left the man she was married with. Their relationship isn't all that healthy. His father is a workaholic which is usually in his study working. Needing a bit of cash, Max is working two part time jobs. One during nights, the other during the weekend. He needs to do it to help his mother live. He was forced to grow serious at a young age and mature very quickly. He has met the Night Watcher more then once, but doesn't know his identity at his school. With this, he decided to take in Night Watcher's footsteps to become Mirage, katana expert. He used most of his money and pulled alot of favors making his suit. As soon as he ran out of money, he turned to the last thing he kept from his grandmother. It was a bandana she had made him, and he soon gave it to a friend of his that could sow and adjust it so it can put it on his face to hide it. He then pulled on some skiing goggles and there you go.
Highschool attended: Montcalm Public High School

((Sorry I ended up not being able to get on this weekend.))

Keegan looked at the guys hang for a second, registering what he had just said. She realized he was just joking and laughed a little. She took his hand and got up while saying, "Yup that's totally what I did, I thought you needed to slow down and apologize to Lou." She was totally joking, the the apologizing she did secretly mean. She figured she'd make it all sound like a joke. She then looked at her watch and realized she was late. "Shit! I'm late to teaching a class!" She said and began to jog off, but stopped and turned around. "Sorry I have to run and also sorry for running into you like that. I'm also a big fan of yours and hope to maybe run into you again or maybe you could stop by my dad's dojo and I can kick your butt for you. Either way it was really nice meeting you and hopefully we'll run into each other again someday." She said with a smile and then took off running. In a few minutes she had made it to the dojo and walked in. Her stepfather gave her a stern look which she returned with an apologetic one before getting to work.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Keegan dismissed this class and looked outside. She sighed when she saw it was dark out and realized that they still had one more class to teach. The upside of it was that it was the kendo class and she always enjoyed teaching that one since it was her favorite. Her favorite was helping teach people how to use a katana. Sure her stepfather was the main one who taught the class, but he used her for demonstrations and occasionally as a sparring partner. She enjoyed sparring with all of the students, but most weren't even close to the level she was at except for one, Maxxime Arthoren. He was actually able to keep up with her and she enjoyed that. As she sat there and thought the students slowly began showing up.

Max walked in the class looking around. He grinned as he felt back at home. One of the only places he could actually enjoy himself. He saw Keegan and chuckled as he walked over to her. He was wearing his usual shirt, unable to have had it washed before going to the kendo classes. He had been working before hand, and even before that he was in class, but that was then. Now he could be just one of the best students. He usually was a book worm, but his kendo classes allowed him to beat back frustration. He took up a shinai (the bamboo sword) and flipped it in his hand. He walked over to the place he knew he could change, and put on his bogu (the armor), except for the mask.

He flipped his shinai again, then started his movements. One step up, vertical swing, one step back, vertical swing. Always and he yelled a small "Kia!" Each time his sword came down. His moves were slow and easy, then he started swinging down even harder. Once, twice, three times. With each strike he was a bit more angry at himself until he slammed it down with a loud smack. He looked at the sensei and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry." He said with a blush of embarrasment. "I got too into it..." The sensei shook his head. "You might be a great student, but lets not let that happen again Max." Max bowed in respect. "Yes sensei." He then sat down next to Keegan and sighed. "It's been barely ten minutes and I already pissed off your dad." He said with a sigh.

Keegan gave a friendly smile to Max as he walked in. She sat on her knees on the floor with her hands in her lap. She was still dressed in her judo/aikido outfit, but also had her hakama (the pants used in aikido and kendo) on. She generally wore what she was wearing for kendo anyways and just put her bogu over top of it. Her father would sometimes get on her about it, but didn't really care enough to go and make her change completely. Plus today he was busy with some newer students. She could tell that tonights class was going to be rather basic and boring and she sighed.

She then heard Max practicing and watched him. He was getting better and better every time he came in and it impressed her. When her father scolded him, Keegan couldn't help but let a small giggle escape her lips. She quickly slapped her hand over her mouth, not wanting to embarrass Max anymore. "Don't worry about Papa, he's just stressed over the new students so he's not really pissed at you." She reassured him with a kind smile. As she spoke her father was over with the new students, showing them how to properly put on their uniforms or hold a katana. She sighed again and looked back at Max. "I think tonights class is gonna be a little boring. I'm almost tempted to try and sneak out and goof around town for a bit. I don't ever get to be a regular goofy teen." She said with a sad smile. Sure she loved being in the dojo, it was her home, but she rarely got to do anything else but practice or so school work. She actually really wanted to look into a nightclub that she suspected to lead her onto the trail of who kidnapped her sister so many years ago.

"I think tonights class is gonna be a little boring. I'm almost tempted to try and sneak out and goof around town for a bit. I don't ever get to be a regular goofy teen." He sighed at that. "Don't worry, me neither." He said with a sheepish grin. "I'm usually against these kinds of things... but I'd rather go then see the basics again." He said with a chuckle. "Tell you what. I'll go with you. Just find a way to leave. I'll say I have another shift. Then we can 'goof off'. As you put it." He said as he got up. "No backing out now." He said as he ran over to the sensei, quickly told him about him getting a call for job needing him right away. The sensei waved him off sighing. Max took his gear off and walked back to Keegan. "I need to go get some stuff first if we are gonna do this. Your supposed to have my information from the dojo office, just call me and tell me where you want to go." He said leaving. He walked to his house which wasn't very far away.

Once at his house. He opened the door, saw his step dad, and growled as he stomped upstairs. "How was your day sweetie?" He heard his mother call out. "It was fine mom! I'm going out with a friend!" He said coming downstairs with a bag. "Is it Maddison sweetie? Or is it that cute girl from kendo you keep talking with?" She asked poking at him. He kind of blushed and sighed. "Not gonna tell you." He said walking off with the bag. "Speaking of Kendo!" He heard his step-dad say. He turned on his heels and looked at him. "Why are you not there right now?" Max growled. "Because I have to go to one of my two jobs I need to go to and keep your fatass from doing anything actually useful in this house!" He heard himself blow up. He really hated his step dads.... this one especially. Max turned around and left, and heard his step dad scream at his mom. He sighed, walking off to wait for the call from Keegan. The bag had Mirage inside of it... he hoped he wouldn't have to use it.

Blake had been fighting these baddies for a about ten minutes now. They were attempting to slash with their knives, which did nothing to his Kevlar fabric suit. Blake didn't bother with slashing, theses guys thick sweaters and jackets would prevent any slashing from affecting them, a stab to the leg here, a blunt swing of the side of the blade to the head. Blake didn't need to kill theses guys, they were just petty thugs probably working as salesmen for drug producers. They probably had family's too, they needed to be punished, but death wasn't what they should be condemned to.

Blake smacked a guy in the arm with the side of his blade when he tried to slash at him, then he turned the blade and cut the guys forearm making him stumble back, Blake kicked him onto his ass and held him by the shirt collar. He pulled up grabbing him with force with his left hand, and with the right producing a simple pocket knife that was razor sharp and holding it at his throat. just touching the blade to the mans neck drew a small bead of blood that trickled down onto his jacket.

"Who are you working for?" Blake asked gruffly hiding his voice. The man had fear in his eyes and his heart began to race. Blake could feel his pulse by his knuckles on the mans neck holding the blade to his throat.

"I work for some weed house, I just sell. I need to feed my family." The man gasped out careful to not move his neck too much. "Franko owns the house, but I don't know anything else." The man finished.

"Where's the house?!" Blake demanded. The man had complete fear in his eyes now, Blake wouldn't be surprised if he pissed himself.

"76 Genivive place." The man said. "Now let me go." The man demanded. Blake put the knife to the mans chest and pulled him up, then he flipped around pushing the blade lightly in his back to usher him to run. These men were weak and cowards, they had left their friend to be possibly killed by The Huntsman.

Blake walked out from behind the building to find out what street he was on, he found himself beside a Dojo and as he stepped out of the alley he quickly jumped back in seeing an Asian boy in the street.

Keegan smiled when Max agreed to come with her, though now she figured she should probably let him know her true intentions. She didn't want to be responsible for him getting hurt or anything so if she told him he could make the decision on if he still wanted to come or not. She watched him leave and then got up and went into the office. She searched through the files and found his file. She grabbed his number off of it and also noticed is address was on there also. She figured she'd run home, change, and then head towards his house. She quickly filed the papers again and silently walked out of the office.

As she was silently sneaking out the door her father stopped her. "Oh didn't I tell you I needed to leave early Papa? I have a project I have to finish up with a friend for school. I'll be home late." Her father sighed, but nodded and told her to be careful. So with that she left and took off running towards home.

When she got home she saw that her mother wasn't home yet and so she assumed she was working the night shift at the hospital, her mom was an ER doctor and always had to work late. So she unlocked her house and ran up the stairs. She put on her pants and her boots of her Black Lotus costume, making it easy if she needed to change into her costume. She also put her corset on, but hid it under her [url=http://www.avenue7.com/MakeThumbnail.ashx?height=500&width=500&&file=~/Images/ComboImages/128801923451875000879c0b07-40e4-491d-9fa4-a671d0b97503.jpg&qual=80
]top[/url] so she could change quickly. She also grabbed a large purse which she put her mask into and then threw her red hair up into a messy yet pretty bun held in place by chopsticks. The last thing she grabbed was her katana and her car keys, figuring a car could be a useful getaway.

So with that she texted Max. I'll meet you down the street from the dojo since I saw you live close by. Also I'm bringing my car and I also have something important to tell you. She hit send as she got in her blue 2011 Mazda RX-8 that she'd gotten for her 16th birthday and drove off.

In minutes she was passing the dojo and caught movement out of the corner of her eye. She slowed and parked as she looked to where she saw the movement, but couldn't see anything. Then she spotted Max and got out. "Hey Max." She said with a smile, but kept a cautious eye on where she saw the movement in case something happened.

Blake climbed up the side of the building using windowsills and loose bricks as handholds and footholds. Blake eventually was at the top with the black night sky at his back, he would be virtually invisible from the street. Blake reached behind him and produced a flash light attachment for his bow, it pulsed quickly when turned on, the light was a bright blinding white, so when it pulsed it would render the people looking in it's direction temporarily blind.

Blake turned the light on and left it on top of the building facing the two figures in the street, one was in costume. Blake let himself fall of the top of the building and onto the other part of it that was about eight feet down, then he jumped another eight feet to the ground. Blake having the light to his back could see these two clear as day. when Blake was only a few feet from them he pressed a button on his bow, which was still slung over his shoulder, which turned the light off.

"It seems there's more than me on the streets tonight." Blake said in his gruff English accent that was The Hunstman's voice.

I'll meet you down the street from the dojo since I saw you live close by. Also I'm bringing my car and I also have something important to tell you. He sighed. "Great... first my mother then her." He says walking to the dojo. As soon as he spotted her next to her car he gave a slight wave.

"Hey Max." He heard from afar. "Yo." He simply said, putting the bag in the trunk and looking at her. "Whats with the get up?" He asked strangely. "I somehow have a feeling were going to a nightclub.... no girl would ever dress this beautiful for me." He said in a somewhat flirty way, but more rather stated facts. "I don't mind going to a club.... keep in mind I don't dance nor can I drive your car without something happening to it." He said in a joking tone as he opened the door to the passenger's seat. "Plus, I said no going back didn't I? I'm a man of my word." He said sitting down.

He closed the passenger's door and looked at her. "What are you waiting for?" He said clicking his seat belt and waiting.

(I see now, sorry about that I just misread your post. I thought you were on the roof top not in the streets down below.)

He groaned as he looked back to the light which was disturbing Keegan. He got out of the car as she took up her Katana and saw Huntsman. "Yo... the light is a safety hazard if a car was ever to come down here you do know that, right? Or are you planning on sacrificing more lives for your stupid cause?" He asked. Maxxime was rather against Huntsman's motto of killing innocent people... but when the mask came on, he couldn't care less and just followed orders. Mirage was something Max could describe as a nightmare. "I mean, seriously." He said as his eyes readjusted to the darkness.

He sighed, "Guess there was no stopping this." He said as he looked at Huntsman. He rubbed his eyes which were now a bit red. "Couldn't you have blinded us with tear gas instead.... wait no... horrible idea." He said remembering what tear gas did. "Anything you need help with Huntsman?" He asked in a peculiar tone. "I already gave my word to the lady that I'd go with her... but I guess the corruption can't wait can it?" He asked with somewhat of a sheepish smile.

Blake laughed at The Lotus, he had heard news of her from some thugs who had been talking about looking out for vigilantes, ironically enough The Huntsman got them that same night. Blake gave this other young man a venomous look. "I could have shot an arrow at you instead, maybe next time I will." Blake said in a gruffer voice than usual, his mask would cover his look of disgust, but his voice gave it away. It was harder for Blake to hide his emotions as The Huntsman, because the Huntsman was no liar.

"I know what you're up to Lotus, and I thought maybe we could do a little team building?" Blake inquired, he put his hand out slowly and pointed the tip of Black Lotus's katana away from him and towards empty air.

Blake then heard many screams and yelling for help, then he saw Jason rushing into a building, along with some firemen and sirens were blaring as Blake looked back at Lotus and her friend. "We have to help them!" Blake yelled in his rough voice. Blake ran in after some firemen. Blake saw some dead bodies in the fire and his heart sank, but when he saw Jason he was instilled with bravery. "Night Watcher." Blake greeted jason, then he ran by him and helped a girl to her feet, she was only about fifteen. She seemed to be injured, so Blake picked her up and ran halfway out of the building, he gave the girl to a firefighter who seemed to look at him with awe, then he took the girl the rest of the way outside.

Blake ran back to find more people to help out of the building before it came down, as the building blazed it filled with smoke, Blakes mask prevented him from breathing too much of it in, but the others wouldn't be so fortunate. "Cover your mouths with your shirts!" Blake yelled in worry as he noticed people coughing, then Jason opened a freezer and there were plenty of young girls inside.

Blakes blood began to boil, Franko was notorious for selling young girls as slaves and renting them out for the night to disgusting men. This was a tell tale sign of Franko. Blake was kind of glad this place of crime was being burnt now, but the people inside didn't deserve to die.

Blake jumped to the side slightly as part of the ceiling fell. the fire was spreading. Blake grabbed a couple girls by their hands, a few others followed Blake as he ran through the building quickly and lead them to the firefighters who escorted them the rest of the way out. Blake could only hope jason was close behind leading the rest of the girls.

"Shit." Was all Keegan could mumble when the Huntsman called her out. She couldn't hide it now and was about to say something when she heard the screaming too and watched the Huntsman take off. She turned and looked at the burning building down the way and her eyes widened. She knew the place and was slightly in shock as she stared at the orange flames.

After a minute, she finally got over her shock as she turned back to Max. "I hate to say this, but he's right I am the Black Lotus." She stated as she took off her shirt, revealing the corset that was part of her costume. She then strapped her katana to her back and pulled out her face mask. "This is kinda what I was gonna tell you, but now you know and now i need to go help. If you plan on helping to then please be careful. I could never forgive myself if you got hurt or anything." She said and gave Max a small smile before puting her mask on and taking off towards the fire.

As she was about to go in she saw the Huntsman coming out with some girls. She immediately recognized what was going on and anger filled her eyes. She looked at the Huntsman briefly before bolting into the fire. She knew the building would come down soon, but she wanted to help save the girls if there were any left and so she made her way to where she heard voices and some little girls screaming. When she got in there she saw the Night Watcher and laughed slightly to herself. She should have figured she'd end up running into him here. She then looked to the few girls and quickly motioned to some of them to follow her. She quickly guided them out and over by the Huntsman. "I'm going to kill him, I'm going to kill Franko and anyone who's helping him do this. They will find no mercy or sympathy from me." She angrily said as hatred filled her eyes. Her fists were clenched tightly and she shook a little with rage.

He grinned as Mirage took over. "You guys are freaks! All of you!" He screamed after her, just to keep his image unknown and ran off. "Sorry for this Keegan...." He said as he sighed and took his bag into an alley. In a few moments, Max wasn't around anymore. Only the cold insanity that was Mirage. He easily climbed up the house, running off with his crossbow, dagger and katana strapped. He jumped from one roof to the next, the adrenaline rushing him forward.

After a few moments, he knew what he was looking for as some hooded figures jumped into a van... and so the chase was on. Left, right and another left. Mirage saw the pathetic little van trying to run away. "Pathetic pieces of shit." He screamed as he followed them. Then he managed to out cut them off, taking up his crossbow. "Crappy aim, fail me now." He said as he knocked the bolt in place, holding it up. With a stroke of luck for the thieves, Mirage missed. "SHIT!" He screamed. He then knocked his grappling bolt, shot it at the van and struck it. Without realizing his stupidity, Mirage was flung forward. Only with the help of the grappling mechanism did he manage to not splatter on the ground, but on the side of the van.

The guys inside looked around. "The hell was that?" Asked one. "Take the damn point." Said the supposed leader. The guy opened up a window, seeing Mirage strapped to the back. "Hey!" Mirage screamed. "Little help here?" He said, as the other guy pulled off a gun. Max was glad he wasn't on a very used road... for the shots fire off missed him and could've injured somebody else. "Can't aim? Don't take it personally, I can't either." He said as he struck out knocking the dude out. He jumped inside the free window, punched the lights out of one of the thugs and pulled the gun to the driver's head. "Stop the car nice and slow." He said with a grin. "Your not getting out of here alive!" The driver said, slamming his foot on the peddle as Mirage shot. Mirage quickly opened the door and jumped out, tucking and rolling as the car slammed into the wall of a house, breaking in and making innocents scream.

Mirage got up bloody from a head wound, a badly bruised leg and a dislocated arm. He limped to the house looking at the owner. "Hey.... everybody alright?" The man gave a slight shake of his head, terrified. "Sorry about the mess... I'm sure the insurances can pay." He said, walking off and back to the dojo... Well, limped.

Madison had gotten to the bookstore, got at least four more comic books and left the store.
Maddy quickly made her way home, since she was already late as is. But her parents wouldn't notice, plus Paige should have told them like she told her to. Maddy old took out a book and read it as she made her way home. Madison walked through the door and into her bedroom, no one even noticed her, as usual. Maddy only sighed and sat on her bed, she finished the comic book and put it on the table next to her bed. She laid her back pack on the floor and laid back on her bed.

Maddy took a deep sighed and looked around. It would be getting dark soon so she could go out and do some pratroling, which was her favorite thing to do. Maddy walked over to her closet and grabbed her gear, her knives, and her bow staff. Maddy left a note explaining that she would be out and be back around 10:00 pm the latest. Maddy got dressed, opened her window and jumped out. She landed on the ground with a light thud, and made her way to the garage. She opened the door, grabbed her motorcycle and helmet and walked it out of the house. As Maddy was well out of sight of the house, she jumped on her bike, turned it on and rode off into the cover of night.

Maddy drove into the city and looked for something to do. She didn't see anything yet, so she drove up to a store, parked her bike in a lot and took the keys. Maddy took off her helmet and underneath she had her mask on. Maddy looked around and jumped onto a window and scaled her way up onto one of the near by roof's. Madison had been walking for a while when she looked down and saw firefighters and other 'super heroes' standing around a building that had calapsed. Madison bent down and said, '' Shit, I missed the fun again! Damn it!'' She scaled her way down and walked over to the others. Madison was thankfully in her uniform so no one would know who she really was.

Madison spotted the Huntsmen, the Black Lotus and she looked around and saw Mirage limping away. Madison looked at Lotus and Huntsmen, she walked up to them, as she was standing next to them, she saw people being taken away in EMT trucks and people being taken care of for their burns and what not. Madison looked back at them and said, '' Good job you two, as always. But, if you could excuse me for a minute.'' Madison ran after Mirage. She walked next to him and said, '' Mirage, you okay? Looks like you could use some help. If you want it anyway.'' She said as she slowly walked besides him, waiting for an answer. Her bow staff was on her back, attached to a band of black leather, and her knives were on her utility belt around her waist. As she was talking next to Mirage, she was playing with one of her knives in her hands.
