Character Background:
Simon was born the youngest son of Doctor Andrew Thomas and his wife Claudia. He is seven years younger then his elder brothers, so was only two when his father left the family to travel abroad. Simon barely knew the man by this time in his life, so when his mother started to cry from a letter the postman gave he didn't quite understand what had happened. Later in his life he was told that his father died under fire wail trying to save a young girl's life. This image of his father's bravery remained his only memory of his father he chooses to remember. The reality of the matter is, Andrew Thomas was never abode his occupation was even a lie, he hadn't left the country. He fled to Canada with a women he had been seeing, named Jean, and abandoned the young family. Claudia didn't want to alarm her young sons or destroy their memory of their father so she fabricated this story to save them the disgrace.

When Simon grew older his mother met a man named Judah James, and before he knew it the two were married. Judah had three little girls of his own, Tzeitel, Shprintze, and Bielke, They were very much like the Brady Bunch, but Simon didn't really mind he had a father now that was kinda nice. Judah became the father for Simon that he needed, and when he grew older he even legally changed his name from "Thomas" to "James" in honer of his Step-Father.

When he grew up and started thinking about a career one Idea came to mind, "Architectural" even as a child he loved thinking and creating buildings with Lego blocks. It just seemed like the perfect fit! He met Anne wail at school, and they soon became friends of course the didn't start dating till after graduation.
