Introduction

Image

Image For centuries, the supernatural has been terrorizing the humans. Killing them for sport or food. Using them as slaves or berating them for pleasure. The stronger the supernaturals felt the more humans died. A society of Hunters formed to kill the supernaturals that were killing or harming humans. As the hunter society started to become widely known among the supernaturals, many of them went into hiding. The human population doubled over without the supernatural population control. But of course a few supernaturals fall through the cracks. There is a war about to break out between Hunters and all Supernaturals. No one is safe anymore. Even the supernaturals that were hiding were now being hunted down.

ImageThe hunter society lives by a code. The code states that "Only hunt those that hunt us." Innocent supernaturals that find other means of food or don't hurt humans are spared. Everyone else is free game. Hunters tend to use various weapons. From automatic weapons to the basic sword. It all depends on the hunter. Only pure iron or pure gold can truly harm supernaturals. To be sure they are dead, they are shot in the head or in the heart for good measure. Among the hunter society is a highly skilled and wise ground of hunters. They are famously known as Moonlight. They are the hunters that deal with the most dangerous of supernaturals. The ones that take out the best of hunters. There punishments vary from torture to death and everything in between. When one of the members of the Moonlight died, it started the war.

Timothy felt as though some other person would be completely freaking out about this entire situation. Not thinking rationally and making the situation worse. But Tim was not like that. For one thing, he was still trying to wrap his head around the mythical supernatural creatures walking around. Another thing, he was standing near a professional so there was no real reason to freak out so much. And also Timothy was never one to have a complete mental breakdown. He always took the time to listen to everything and try to understand. Nothing good comes from irrational thinking. I'm sorry I hadn't told you before, it's just...we're not exactly allowed to If she wasn't allowed to say anything, it makes sense to why he doesn't know. In fact living without this knowledge would not have bothered him at all. Eli is also a hunter...and so is Izzy Was it a family thing? It had to be. Tim placed his hands on the back of his head and exhaled slowly. Okay..what do we do now...should we leave the campsite? He signed, unsure if it was even safe enough to stay here.

Image

Elias watched silently as Jakub tried to come up with something entertaining to do. Elias would have helped come up with something, but his form of entertainment involved reading textbooks and documentaries. Jake might fall asleep if Eli started explaining Quantum Theory. They could talk more about history from the demon's perspective. It's more interesting coming from him, than reading about it. Though, Eli already read everything. Having real life perspective is a completely different learning experience. At the idea, he smile slightly. "Well, I can think of a few things" Elias was thinking that he and Jakub had the same idea. But they way the two of them made eye contract and how the demon leaned down towards the hunter, Eli knew they were not thinking the same thing. Before Elias could protest, the two of them were kissing. It was soft, slow, and sensual. The hunter has started to enjoy the hunters kisses since Jake has kissed him the first time. They more kisses they share, the more Elias wants. Slightly unsure of what to do with his hands, he hesitantly wrapped them around Jake. Not to tight so that he could move away, but enough to encourage the activity. Elias did not know how far his demon was trying to go, but Eli was only going to go so far.

Okay..what do we do now...should we leave the campsite? That was a good question. With demons roaming around the campsite, nowhere near there was safe, but on the other hand, if they left there will be no one to protect the rest of the humans should another demon show up. There's also the question of whether they will be safe anywhere else. Nowhere out in the streets is truly safe. There are countless races of supernatural creatures roaming around. At least here, a good percent of the humans around are actually humans. Eliana thought for a moment as she looked down at her device before shaking her head. I think we'll be safer here, actually she stated, showing him the device screen. It read zero signs of supernatural life, which mean that everyone was safe for now. She decided to leave the radar running, just to be safe, before slipping the device back into her pocket. I do need to have a look around, just to make sure no one was hurt. I'm not sure but I think they had been here for quite some time. They would have had plenty of time to attack someone she explained. If Tim wanted to join her i would be completely up to him. The radar would warn her with enough time should anything dangerous get too close to him.

Image

Much to Jakub's surprise, the hunter didn't reject him nor did he stay there unresponsive like the first time he had kissed him. It was almost shocking, his response, that Jakub nearly stopped kissing him to to make sure he wasn't imagining things. But instead he moved closer, encouraged by the hunter's movements. So far so good. He had no idea how far the hunter was willing to go. Clearly, not as far as Jake wanted to, but the fact that they were even kissing for more than five seconds without Eli squirming or backing down was more than enough for him. For a while it was just that, until Jakub decided to move a bit closer. He shifted slowly, just enough to be closer but not enough to scare Eli. If Jake was lucky, maybe Eli would give him some kind of sign to let him know that he wasn't overstepping his boundaries.

The day was almost over and Luke had yet to hear from Mathias. The alpha was a bit worried. Not because he didn't think Matt could handle himself, but mostly because of his girlfriend. Luke didn't really have anything against her personally, it was her species that he couldn't stand. Those arrogant, pleasure seeking savages only cared about themselves and their own well being. What's worse is that Mathias seemed to be completely head over heels for the woman, and nothing any of the pack members, including himself, told him would change his mind. The pack decided to drop the subject a long time ago, since it was clearly getting nowhere, but that didn't change the fact that Luke constantly worried about his being with her. Not so much because he thinks she will do anything to him, but being close to a demon means nothing but trouble. Which is why the alpha decided to pay Matt and unexpected visit. Pulling up into the parking lot, he looked around the area. Mathias' car was parked in it's spot, which meant that he was home. After finally reaching the apartment door, he rang the doorbell and knocked shortly after in case the bell didn't work.

There was some silence between them. Timothy was assuming that Eliana was thinking on the question. There could be more and lurking around. He was wondering if even be possible to leave if there were multiple demons lurking. I think we'll be safer here, actually Eliana showed him the device. Tim was not sure how to read it, but nothing on the screen jumped out at him saying they were in danger. He nodded in understanding before running his fingers through his hair. I do need to have a look around, just to make sure no one was hurt. I'm not sure but I think they had been here for quite some time. They would have had plenty of time to attack someone He was unsure of why, but he decided it had to do with her hunter duties. I'm going with you. Eliana might be a professional, but no one knew the campsite like he did. He could be of some use. And being alone when it came to dangerous things like this was just dumb. Lead the way

Image

Elias had no idea what to do. Jake was holding him close and kissing him. They are much closer than what Eli is used too. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he was screaming. Part of him needed to pull away and run out of the house. That part of him was what Eli was used too. It was how he dealt with anyone that was too close. But that part of him was being suppressed by an overwhelming sensation he has never felt before. Eli was slight scared of it. But more than anything he was curious. Something inside him has awaken that has been asleep since he has been born. Jakub is so close and Elias was not all that bothered. The demon started to move closer cause the hunter to shift. Once he was more comfortable, he tightened his hold on Jakub. His body wanting his demon to be closer. Eli's body was working faster than his mind and for one he was not going to argument.

Image

Verena and Mathias had been sleeping for a long time. Well the wolf had been sleeping. After a couple of hours, Verena woke up and just laid in bed. She was thinking about everything she had discussed with Jakub and all the secrets she was keeping from Matty. It was eating at her and sleeping was no longer possible. She did everything in her power to make sure that she did not wake up the lover of her life. He needed the sleep. That was how he would heal his messed up wrist. The demon stayed in bed, until she heard someone pull into the driveway. The only person that arrives unexpectedly is Jakub, but he doesn't knock on the door. Leaving the bedroom, making sure Mathias was still asleep, she skipped downstairs and opened the door. Her surprised look automatically transformed to one with sheer annoyance. Verena crossed her arms and rested her body against the door frame. "To what to I owe the pleasure?" she started, pure sarcasm leaving her mouth. "Let me guess. You are here to make sure Matty is still alive. Well he is. He is sleeping off the broken wrist you let him come home with." Verena did not like the pack, especially Luke. They did not trust each other and nothing would change.

Tim insisted on joining her, which Eliana was completely fine with. She would feel better having him near and in sight than leaving him behind in the tent. SHe nodded to let him know that was fine with her and began to walk. She wasn't sure where to head to first, in fact she had no idea where they were at the moment. Tim was the one that was familiar with the campsite, she simply acted on instinct. Her radar only picked up supernatural life, so using it to locate humans was useless. The huntress kept her eyes ahead for a moment before turning to look at Tim. Where is the most isolated part of the campsite? she asked. Demons were smart creatures, They wouldn't have gone to a crowded area. They would have looked for an isolated place with few people. Those places would have been most at risk and it was important to check there first.

Image

SOmething wasn't right here, but at the same time it felt more than right. Some part of Jake was screaming that this was all a dream. This couldn't be happening, not with Eli. The man who hated physical contact, who had nearly lost it when Jake had layed on his lap. It had to be a dream, which meant that Jake could enjoy it as much as he wanted to. Deciding to take advantage of this dream like state he moved closer, basically laying on him, their legs tangled. They barely fit on the already small couch, but Jake didn't want to risk messing this up with asking to move somewhere more comfortable. His hand found it's way into Eli's hair and stayed there. There was no rush, in fact, this could go as slow as possible. It could last last all night, even if it didn't go any further, and Jake would be more than happy with that.

Image

Luke was hoping Mathias would be the one to open the door, but no such luck. Instead, the demon answered it and Luke was immediately annoyed. [b]"Let me guess. You are here to make sure Matty is still alive. Well he is. He is sleeping off the broken wrist you let him come home with." It was exactly that kind of arrogant attitude that made these creatures so undesirable. How Matt put up with her was beyond him. "Fine" he said simply, stepping past her into the apartment. He had come to see Mathis and he wasn't leaving until he did. "I'll wait until he wakes up then" he added before making himself comfortable on the couch. If she thought she could kick him out, she had another thing coming. This apartment had been Matt's, as well as the pack's, way before she had shown up. The only one that could kick him out was Matty.

Tim was glad that Eliana did not argue with him tagging alone. He just felt better about the entire situation since he was going to be coming along. He started trailing behind her, looking around at his surroundings. He was way more paranoid about the campsite now that he was aware of the demons existence. Where is the most isolated part of the campsite? For a moment he had to think. He had been pretty much everywhere on this campsite. It is the most west part of the camp. It is the most closed off. It was supposed to be for some type of privacy. Mostly for scouts or couples. But they are still monitored by one or two park rangers.

Image

The demon was laying directly on top of the hunter. Their legs were tangled and Jake's hands were in Eli's hair. They were moving relatively slow, but Elias was fine with that. He could not go any farther than this. He just couldn't. At least that was what he was telling himself right now. Though he felt like this was leading where it wasn't supposed to go. Stopping seemed nearly impossible. Elias' hands found Jake's waist, but they remained there. He was not going to encourage taking anything to the next step. This was more than enough. For now, Eli was fine with this. Though he knows that this is going to mess up his contact tolerance for the next week.

Image

"Fine" The alpha waltzed right past her into the house and it took everything in her power, not to grab him and throw him back outside. He might be the alpha, but Berserk was just as strong as he was. If she really wanted him out, he would be out. "I'll wait until he wakes up then" Of course he will. Luke made himself comfortable on the couch and Vera all but slammed the front door shut. "I'll be right back." She said. Verena wanted to let Mathias sleep. He deserved it after all the hard work he goes through and the sore wrist. But waking him up is the only way to get Luke the hell out of her house. She skipped up the stairs and shut the bedroom door. The demon tiptoed close to the bed and sat close to Matt. She shook him lightly. "Matty.." she said. "Luke is here to see you." she left out the part where she wanted Matt to kick him out. "He wants to make sure you aren't dead." she added, still shaking him. He needed to get up now.

Apparently there was a slightly isolated part of the campsite. According to Tim it was the most far west part of the camp, which meant that they had a lot of walking to do to get there and they had better get started quickly if they wanted to get there soon. Who knows if someone was in need of help. Okay let's go! she quickly signed before taking the boy's hand and rushing off, soon after realizing that she had no idea where she was even going. The huntress slowly came to a stop before looking at him apologetically. She was so used to taking the lead, even when she was with Eli, she would be the one walking ahead. But this time she couldn't, considering she knew nothing about the campsite, she would only cause them to get lost. She smiled slightly before gesturing for Tim to take the lead.

Image

More encouragement came from Eli, though not much, it was enough to let Jake know that she wasn't entirely overstepping his boundaries. But what else could they even do. Kissing was one thing, but taking it a step further was dangerous both for himself and for Eli. The demon had never done anything like this with a human. Humans who are much more fragile than supernatural creatures. Regardless of the fact that hunters are stronger than regular humans, their physical strength is nothing compared to that of a human. Things could easily get out of hand, and Jakub often didn't realize his own strength. Perhaps they should stop. It would be the wiser thing to do, is what his brain kept telling him, but his body was not listening. Shifting slightly, he re positioned himself so he was hovering over Eli instead of on him. There was a moment of hesitation, but much to his own surprise, Jakub was the one that first broke the kiss as well as the silence. "We uh...we should...probably stop here" he all but whispered, adding another kiss before speaking again. "I don't want to hurt you...". HIs brain told him to move, but his body didn't. Instead, he continued to lock eyes with the hunter, hoping he would disagree.

Image

Mathias felt like the floor under him was shaking. AN earthquake? Where was he, even? He could hear Verena's voice from far away, calling to him, but it was as if he couldn't move. And then, he couldn't even breathe. Finally, the wolf woke up with a gasp, immediately sitting up in bed. He blinked, his eyes slowly adjusting before turning his head to meet a pair of worried blue eyes. Letting out a sigh of relief, he rubbed his face. "Did you say Luke is here?" he questioned, not sure if she had actually said that or if it had been part of the dream. Regardless, he stretched and pushed himself out of bed. After rolling his wrist a bit, he smiled slightly, happy that it was completely healed. It had just been a sprain after all. The wolf wondered why Luke had shown up so unexpectedly. Perhaps he was worried. Matt rarely ever got injured. "I'll be right down!" the wolf called out to the alpha waiting in the living room, letting him know that he was awake, before turning to his girlfriend. "Thanks for waking me up" he said, placing a kiss on her forehead. Matt knew the relationship between her and his boss was not the best one, she could have kicked him out and not said anything to Mathias, but she didn't and that was enough to make him happy.

Once Tim told Eliana which part of the campsite she wanted to know, she started to head in that direction. She was walking with speed and he managed to keep up behind her. They were generally headed in the right direction, but Tim knew a faster way to get there. Though he did not want to correct the hunter. She trained to hunt the creatures they were after. Maybe there was a method. It was when she stopped walking that Timothy realized that there was no method and she had no idea where she was going. He smiled softly and took the lead. Tim redirected them so that they were on a faster path. This cut walking time down by ten minutes. Once they neared it, he slowed down a bit. He was not sure who or what was at this campsite. He stopped walking for Eliana to retake the lead. She would know what to do and how to deal with it.

Image

Elias was starting to feel as though the two of them were never going to stop. And he was also having a hard time trying to figure out if he wanted to stop. There were a billion and one reasons for them not to be doing this besides the illegal factor. Eli was completely unexperienced and he was barely ready for normal people intimacy let alone couple type intimacy. It would be awkward and probably end badly. Despite his thoughts, he was not the one to pull away. Shockingly, it was Jakub. He did not move completely off of him, but he did stop the kissing. "We uh...we should...probably stop here" There was another kiss. "I don't want to hurt you..." Elias was much tougher than the average human, but he understood the point. "Yeah...let's stop.." Of course his reason had nothing to do with potential injuries to himself. Elias did not move though. They had both consented to stopping and yet they were holding eye contact. Neither of them wavering. Not wanting to go back on what he said, he looked away and removed his hands from the demon.

Image

Verena was hoping that Matthias would get up and kick the alpha out. But that was not happening for two reasons. Reason one. Luke was alpha. You can't just kick out an alpha. Reason two. Alpha and Matty were unfortunately friends. Both negatives for Vera. She stayed on the bed as she watched Matty attempt to look presentable for Luke. "Thanks for waking me up" Verena accepted the kiss and returned a warm smile. She was already regretting waking him up. She should have just grabbed the wolf by the neck and tossed him out of the house. Or she should have checked who was outside before even opening the door. Leaving the unwanted alpha outside. But she cannot change the past and removing him would have greatly upset Matty and the rest of the pack. That last thing Verena needs is a wolf pack hunting her along with the hunters. She would surely have no chance of survival. Once Matty was done, she followed him to the living room. Instead of greeting the alpha for a second time, she headed straight to the kitchen. If she had to deal with him, she was going to at least have some alcohol. Grabbing a glass and her strongest bottle of wine, she started on her first drink.

Tim took the lead without hesitation and led them straight to their destination. Despite the fact that he was in danger, she was glad to have him with her. As they got closer Tim slowed down and Eliana readied herself for anything and everything. WHo knows what she'd find once they got there. Upon walking deeper into the area, there didn't seem to be anything out of order, aside from the fact that there was no one there. Not a single soul. The huntress took a few looks around before turing to Tim. Is it usually this empty? It could just be that one had been camping here in the first place. There were signs of anyone having set up camp, but Elie knew the creatures well. They would have attempted to get rid of any evidence that they had been here, including getting rid of any camping materials that had been left behind. If according to Tim, people normally camped here, she would have to do a thorough search of the place.

Image
Much to his disappointment, Eli agreed to stop. Of course, it was best for the both of them. Who knows what would have happened had they gone any further. Eli turned away to show that she indeed intended to stop and Jake took that as his cue to move. Removing himself from on top of the hunter he settled back into the cushions of the couch. Now there was nothing but silence. What was supposed to be said after that. Jakub had never been in such a situation. WHat was one supposed to do in this case, carry on as if nothing happened? That felt a bit... awkward. The demon remained silent for a second and Eli got himself together and cleared his throat slightly before breaking the silence. "Sorry..." he muttered, rubbing the back f his neck "I didn't mean to get carried away" For anyone else this would have been no big deal, but Eli was a special case, so he felt obligated to apologize.

Image
Mathias made his way downstairs to find Luke waiting for him. The wolf smiled and the alpha smiled back, immediately getting to his feet. "What brings you here, boss?" he asked playfully. Luke shrugged slightly before giving him a once over. "I was worried. Is your hand better?" Mathias couldn't help but smile. Despite his tough exterior, their leader was a real softy. "I'm fine" he nodded, rolling his wrist to prove his point. Ware-wolves could heel rather quickly. One of the many advantages of being supernatural. Out of the corner of his eyes, Matt spotted Vera bringing out some alcohol and liked the idea. "You want a drink?". Luke seemed to think it over before shaking his head slightly. [b]"I have to drive back home". Mathias nodded in understanding. It was nearly impossible to convince their boss to do something irresponsible. "At least stay a little longer to talk" he offered. He knew Verena would not be too happy with it, but Luke was more than just his boss. He was like a big brother to him, the person that had raised him as well as many other members of the pack. SHe would just have to deal with him for a little longer.

Timothy took a step back to allow Eliana to do whatever it is that hunters do. He was unsure of what she was looking for. If he knew, then he could help. But she seemed to be holding her own just fine. Tim remained quiet as she did a quick look around the camping area. Is it usually this empty? He took a second to think about it before answering. He did not want to give her false information. I'm not entirely sure. I am not over here enough. But there are usually two park rangers that wander around the empty sites to make sure that people that aren't supposed to be using them aren't trying to sneak into them. But he hadn't seen any park ranger vehicle on the way up and he most definitely has not seen a park ranger wandering. Sometimes they leave to do something, but they are usually good at having at least on person watching over the area with or without people.

Image

The hunter readjusted himself once the demon moved. No longer laying down, he took his side of the couch. Silence filled the air. Elias was used to silence, but there was something off about this. He did not like it. He glanced over at Jake for a moment. Elias kind of felt bad for stopping now. Though he could not bring himself to cross that boundary he felt as though Jake wanted to go that far. It was a rather sweet gesture in Eli's eyes. But the hunter just could not do it. He does not know if he ever could. He kept that thought to himself. "Sorry..." Elias raised an eyebrow, confused by the apology. "I didn't mean to get carried away" There was no need for the apology. They were both adults. The decisions were made together. Elias shrugged before responded. "I consented. No need to apologize." To reassure the demon, the hunter even added in a genuine smile.

Image

Verena was on drink two when she decided to eaves drop on the wolves conversations. She was really hoping to hear something along the lines of "it was nice seeing you" or "good bye". But not her Matty. God forbid, Matthias kick out any of his wolf brothers. "At least stay a little longer to talk" Rolling her eyes, she downed drink number two and began to pour drink three. It was taking all of her willpower too keep quiet and not say anything that could possibly upset Matt. Vera looked around her kitchen and let out a sigh. Since the alpha was staying, she might as well make dinner. She may not like him, but she knows Matt hasn't eaten much since he got home. Setting down her wine glass, she started pulling out ingredients. Since she is feeding two wolves instead of one, there needed to be way more meet than usual. What's better than pork chops? Preheating the oven, Verena got to work taking sips of her wine every now and then.

Park rangers. According to Tim they were supposed to be around here, but there was no sign of the anywhere. The huntress thought for a moment. The demon could have easily disposed of any hit that there had been people there. She needed to look closely and carefully. Give me a few minutes she signed before getting out the scanning device. After turning it on, she began to walk around, looking for any trace of demon DNa left on the ground, in the trees, anywhere that would have been too close to any people here. At a first glance there was nothing, but a second run through showed different results. There had definitely been a demon near here. [i]Help me look for anything human. A piece of clothing, a hairclip, anything at all she instructed Tim before started on the search herself. If the demons had indeed killed someone, she would have to report it.

Image

Eli wasn't upset, which was good, but Jakub still felt guilty. He could have put a stop to it, considering he's the one with the most experience. "I know...but still, i'm sorry. I probably used up all the physical contact for he week" he chuckled. Though he said it as a joke, it wouldn't surprise him if that were true. Eli's skinship tolerance wasn't very high, and what they had just done might have been a bit much for him. "I'll scold myself for it later, I promise" he said, once again hald jokingly. Now they were at a stand still. WHat were they supposed to do. It was slightly awkward. Jake couldn't send ELi home because he had come to spend the weekend, but also because he didn't want him to go home. He needed to think of something to do or say to get things back to normal. The demon can not handle awkward for an entire weekend.

Image

Mathias could smeel the food being made in the kitchen. He was happy hat Vera decided to play nice and not kick his boss out. Matt hated conflict and he did not want t fight, neither with Luke nor with Vera. It was all better if they just go along. "Why don't you have a drink? Drive you home afterwards if you think you cam't drive". The alpha hesitated a bit, almost seemingly ready to reject the alcohol a second but shurgged instead. [b]"Just a small sip" he said almost warningly. Matt nodded with a smile and headed to the kitchen in search of alcohol and cups. "Smells really good in here" he said as he walked in and spotted Verena cooking. He hoped there was enough for both him and Luke. If not then Matty would just let Luke eat.

Timothy waited patiently for Eliana. She was walking around through the area with a device. It flashed a color for a moment and Tim assumed that that meant something. He was unsure of exactly what it meant. It must have been bad if Elie instructed him to look for anything human. He nodded, not really wanting to question the huntresses methods. Tim carefully examined the campsite, trying to find something that did not belong. Near the campfire pit, he found part of torn sleeve. It was a beige color. It had to have belonged to someone. Tim was thinking that it was one of the park rangers. They wore beige and forest green uniforms. Turning to Eliana, he handed her the clothing. I'm pretty sure this belongs to a park ranger He signed, waiting for her to whatever needs to be done with it.

Image

"I know...but still, i'm sorry. I probably used up all the physical contact for he week" Elias smirked just a tad. That wasn't exactly true. For Jake's sake he was not counting this against him. If they had been hugging for a long time though, then he would have used up his physical contact for a week. He would have told him that out loud. But Eli did not have any problems with what they had done, besides the extreme contact. He enjoyed himself and would never have even allowed Jake to go that far if he had a problem with it. "I'll scold myself for it later, I promise" Elias took hold of Jake's hands and looked at him a small smile. "Please don't." He knew that he was joking, but the hunter meant it. He did not want the demon to feel like he was only to blame for this. There was some silence between the two of them. Eli was not all that tired so going to bed was not an option. But a story was always an option. "Want to tell me what happened during the civil war?" he asked, encouraging Jakub to talk to him.

Image

Verena finished her second cup of wine when Matthias convinced Luke to drink. The demoness kept her mouth shut and did not even express whatever she was making for dinner. Matty always ate her food and that was all that mattered. Speaking of which, he waltzed into the kitchen to get alcohol and glasses. "Smells really good in here" Vera smiled slightly as she poured herself another glass of wine. "Thank you." She took a sip of from her refilled glass and got to work on the macaroni and cheese. "We have whiskey, champagne, and vodka in the cabinet above the fridge." Verena expressed with her boyfriend. They did not drink hard alcohol that often. Vera mostly sipped on wine. This is probably the most amount of alcohol she has consumed while making dinner. She blames Luke. His presence just compels her to need to drink alcohol.

Eliana was so busy searching she was almost startled by Tim. I'm pretty sure this belongs to a park ranger. She stared at the small piece pf fabric. It had clearly been ripped off some kind of uniform. Taking the evidence in her hand she used the small device to scan it a few times. Just as she feared, there were signs of supernatural hand prints. A small frown spread across her face. She carefully tucked the cloth into her pocket and looked at Timothy. Now she had to make a decision. Either she ignored what she had just found and enjoyed the rest of the weekend with Timothy, or she informed headquarters of what had happened here, which not only meant leaving early, but also having to explain why she was in a territory outside of her assigned hunting grounds. A very intense mental battle took over her before she sighed and tucked the device back in her pocket. Nothing, I thought for sure this would help me find something but there's no sign of anything she said, making a mental note to turn in the evidence and her findings later. She was not willing to give up her weekend with her crush just for some demons.

Image
"Please don't" Jakub almost chuckled. Of course Eli would take what he said seriously. He wasn't seriously planning on scolding himself, but Eli quickly changed the subject, not really giving Jake any time to explain. "Want to tell me what happened during the civil war?" The demon thought for a moment with a shrug. "What exactly do you want to know? There was fighting, killing, guns and gore" he said simply, as if it were an everyday occurrence. "Honestly, i've never been fond of violence" said the demon. That was one of the biggest lies he had ever told, considering his past. AT the moment he wanted nothing to do with violence, but that hadn't always been the case. "But I did hae to shoot a few bullets here and there" that wasn't a lie. Though he hadn't taken part in the actual civil war, he had meddled a little bit. He looked at Eli and padded his lap in case the hunter wanted to take the spot he had been in before. It was the best way to listen to a good story.

Mathias was diligently looking for some form of alcohol other than wine, but so far no success. "We have whiskey, champagne, and vodka in the cabinet above the fridge." The wolf smiled, immediately relieved. Surely he couldn't have shown up in the living room with just wine. Two wolves needed something heavier. Following Vera's instructions, he opened up the cabinet and pulled out the large bottle of Whiskey, along with two small shot glasses. "Thank you!" he said with a kiss to Vera's cheek. "Call me over if you need help" he said, making sure they made eye contact so she knew he was serious and not just saying it to sound nice. WIth that he turned and headed back to his leader who was waiting patiently in the living room. "Whiskey!" he said with a big smile. Luke shook his head with a slight smirk but accepted the small shot glass. AT this point he had no choice but to drink.

Timothy felt bad that he could not help more with the search for the demons. He wasn't sure what he was really looking for and she was being rather vague on everything. Though he could understand that. He wasn't even supposed to know that she was a hunter. There was silence between them and Tim looked around to make sure nothing was going to jump out at them. His attention went back to Eliana who looked at the device in her hand with such frustration. Putting the device away, the huntress looked at Tim. Apparently there was nothing. He wasn't sure if that was a good nothing or a bad nothing. We had for sure seen a demon, but they were killed. That could just be it. Can we return back to the camp? He signed. If so, it meant that they could continue the weekend like normal. Or do we need to go back home? He was completely prepared for both, but he really wanted to stay. They were having such a nice weekend.

Image

Elias was glad that he could get Jake's mind off what had just happened between them. The last thing he wanted would be for him to feel bad. Like it was his fault they had gone almost too far. Stories was always a great way to distract people. And the hunter loved hearing stories of the past. He thought that his demon would have been involved in the war, which was why he asked. Readjusting himself, Eli rested his head back onto Jakub's lap. "I want to know which side you were fighting for and why you got involved." he said, making sure that he was getting the most from this story.

Image

Verena accepted the kiss with a small smile and nodded to reassure her boyfriend that she would summon him if she needed help. But the demoness never needed help. Once he was out of the kitchen, she chugged the rest of her wine glass. She needed to slow down or she would be way too drunk to finish dinner. Pushing the glass away from herself, she went back to dealing with the food. She refrained from eavesdropping since she did not want to know what the two her talking about. Another hour and everything was done. Instead of calling Matty to help serve, she just decided to serve them herself. She piled the wolves plate with food and then brought it out to the both of them. Then she grabbed her own plate and wine glass before reluctantly joining them at the dinner table. She refilled her wine glass with the whiskey that was being shared between the two wolves. She started eating dinner silently, hoping that the wolves enjoyed what she made despite her slight intoxication.

Any other day, ELiana would have done the smart thing and listened to the warning signs. She would have told Tim it was probably best to go home, that way she could report to the council what had happened here, despite the possibility of getting penalized for being somewhere she shouldn't have, but today was not any other day. She was having the best weekend. Relaxing, far away from demons, weapons and bloodshed. Something she didn't know she needed desperately, and Tim had given her that without even realizing she needed it. Today was not the day to be responsible. We can stay she responded quickly to make sure he didn't suspect anything was wrong. I'll just send my superviser a message to let them know what happened here. She would do it it, just not right now. Not today, and most likely not this weekend. Let's go back to the tent. She threw in a smile to let him know all was well.

Image

"I want to know which side you were fighting for and why you got involved." Jake smiled a bit. Well wasn't he chatty all of a sudden. The demon thought for a moment of why he had gotten involved in the first place. That was after everything with Lucio had happened, but before Jake had met Vera. The demon was practically alone, furious and extremely dangerous. "I guess I was just angry. I needed some way to occupy my time" he began, thinking of the best way to put it. "I had lived here a while with Lucio... then I went back to England" Admitedly it wasn't the best way to take out his frustration, but he was heartbroken and angry. None of his decisions really made sense. "I fought with them for a while, but eventually I lost interest and moved to Italy, which is where I met Verana. The girl that wanted to kill you the other day". Meeting her was the best and the worst thing rolled into one.

Image

When Vera brought out the food, Matt's eyes sparkled. It looked delicious and smelled even better. ANd he didn't have to guess to know that it tasted like heaven. She handed them each a plate pilled with food and the wolf gave her a thank and a quick kiss to the cheek. Luke also thanked her. Despite not liking her in the least, she was being polite and making them food. The least he could do was be civil as well. She joined them at the table, which was to be expected. It didn't bother the wolf in the least, so long as she didn't insult him as usual. "Wow....this is so good!" Mathias cheered, making a face of pure delight. The alpha had to admit it was one of the best meals he'd had in a long time, he just hoped she hadn't put some kind of poison in his or they would have a serious problem. The three of them ate almost in complete silence, mostly because they were too busy eating, but there was also the underlying tension. All the could be heard was the sounds of the forks hitting against the plates.

Timothy smiled when Eliana said that they could stay. He was having such a fun time here, it would be a shame if it was cut short because of problem she managed to handle. Though he was a bit worried that she may get in trouble, but if Elie was okay with going back to camp than it should be okay. Alright. Let's go. He took her hand and held it in his own. It was much easier to guide her back to the camp like this. Touch was the only way to know that she was still around. He can't exactly hear her footsteps so if something happened he wouldn't know. This was just safer. For both of them. Within moments, they arrived back at the camp. The fire had died, but all there stuff was still intact. Tim was slightly worried something would have happened while they were gone. Not just from demons, but woodland creatures. But it was nice to be proven wrong. Releasing her hand, Tim went to tend to the fire. They were still awake and it was dark. No reason to leave the fire out. The embers were still hot and tinder was still lying around. Tim pulled the matches from his pocket and started the fire back up again. When it was big enough he turned towards Eliana. Do you want a s'more? he asked.

Image

Elias listened and slightly could understand why he involved himself in the war. Lucio sounded like an awful person from what he heard earlier. And if to hurt someone so much that they participated in war with no intent to help a side, must make him way worse than what he was thinking. He moved to Italy and met the demoness. Eli nodded his head when he reminded him about their meeting. "I didn't forget her." He explained simply. He remembers everyone that has ever tried to kill him. Even the dead ones. The ones that live are on the top of his list under Sting. Then a thought came to his mind. "How many high level demons do you know?" he asked, hoping that Jake wasn't put off by the question.

Image

To say that there was tension was an understatement. Both the alpha and the demoness were one insult away from starting a fight between them. Verena was trying really hard to be a good girl for her boyfriend, but it was getting harder. People that didn't like her weren't allowed in the house. So far she has managed to keep the pack away for long periods of time, but when it came to the alpha he had like a fast past through the door. And she hated it. He was the main person that didn't like her. So everyone ate in awkward silence. Vera went through at least two more glasses of wine before finishing. When everyone was done, she stood up and collected everyone's plates. "Well you checked up on Mathias and had dinner, is this the part where we say goodbye?" she asked hopefully, as she made her way towards the kitchen to do dishes. Vera couldn't stay quiet for long. It wasn't in her nature. Mathias should have known that to expect her to put up with Luke that long in silence.

It was decided, they were to go back to the campsite as if nothing ever happened. Except it did happen, and now Tim knew about a part of her that was supposed to be kept a secret for the rest of her life. Eliana wasn't so much worried about Tim telling anyone, because she knew he wouldn't do that and even if he did they would probably think he's insane. She was most preoccupied with what he might think about her now. He knew her as a normal high school student/friend, but now all that had changed. Eliana wasn't normal in any sense of the word and now Tim knew that. Do you want a s'more? She almost missed him signed, but caught just enough to understand. It wasn't what she had expected him to say the moment they got back but she happily took it. Why not? Some say sweets can fix anything, well maybe she should try that theory out. I'll have two. Life's too short to limit one's sugar intake.

Image

Of course Eli remembered Vera. She's hard to forget. That and the fact she tried to kill him probably made a decent sized impact on him. How many high level demons do you know?" The question seemed to come out of nowhere. Jake thought for a moment, trying to follow Eli's train of thought to figure out what made him ask that, but there didn't appear to be any coloration.Unless he already knew Vera is a high level demon, but that wouldn't make the question itself any less random. "Not including myself...three" Not including Sting either. Jakub refused to include the monster in anything anymore. "That I know personally that is, Vera, Lucio and a distant family member of mine which I haven't heard from in over a decade. I'm not even sure if he's still alive" he thought for a second on what to say next without provoking any questions he didn't want to answer. "That I know of only, maybe two or three. There aren't very many of us. Most have gotten themselves killed" or killed each other, but Jake decided to leave that out. "Why? That was a bit random" not that he minded answering random questions. It just meant getting to talk to his hunter even more.

Image

Everything seemed to be going alright. ALthoygh the tension in the room was so heavy it was hard to ignore, neither of them said an insulting word or made any gesture that could have caused them to argue. They managed to make it through dinner in piece, and Mathias was relatively happy with how it went, that is until Vera spoke. "Well you checked up on Mathias and had dinner, is this the part where we say goodbye?" Mathias didn't like teh way she said that, mostly because he knew Luke wouldn't either. He was right. "Are you kicking me out?" the alpha grumbled, taking the last sip of his whiskey. Matt felt nervous. They had managed to make it through dinner, why couldn't they wait just a bit longer? "No, of course not" he responds quickly before Vera has the chance to. "You can stay as long as you want" he subtly looks over at his girlfriend as he says this, hoping she'll just stay quiet. Mathias is tired and the last thing he needs is two of the people he cares about most to start arguing in front of him.

Timothy dug around in his bag, looking for the marshmallows that he deliberately packed so that they could enjoy some s'mores. When he found them, he grabbed the graham crackers, chocolate, and roasting rods. When he was a boy scout, they used to just use sticks that they found on the ground. But that was unsanitary and it was too dark to see which sticks were poison oak and which weren't. He opened the marshmallow bag and placed two of them on each other rods. He handed one rod to Eliana and kept the other for himself. Sitting on a log, big enough for two, he started to roast his marshmallows to the perfect temperature so that it melts between the chocolate and graham crackers.

Image

Elias listened intently on all the high level demons that he knew. He didn't hear the name he was looking for. But he kept the name Lucio in the back of his mind so that he could bring it up to Eliana. But right now there was only one name that he was thinking about. Jakub asked him why he was curious about them. The hunter was unsure if he was even allowed to bring the name up around other demons. Or if they were allowed to expose one another. And he was not going to be prepared to explore the reason behind his search, but any information could help. "I was just wondering if you knew a demon named Sting." he asked, with a shrug. "I would understand if you don't. He has been in hiding forever." Elias added, hoping Jakub wouldn't ask him about why. The hunter wasn't above lying, but he didn't want to lie to him.

Image

Verena wanted to tell the alpha that she was kicking him out and shove him out the front door. He wasn't her alpha and that wolf didn't live here. The couple did. And his visit was a surprise and unwanted. Mathias beat her and claimed that the alpha was allowed to stay as long as he wanted. Vera crushed the wine glass in her hand at those words. She let out a sigh and started cleaning up the glass. The cuts on her hand healed up instantly as she swept up everything. "Right of course." she muttered bitterly. Once everything was cleaned up, she started cleaning the kitchen.

Tim was acting was if nothing happened, and Eliana couldn't decide if it was a good or bad thing. He took out everything needed for s'mores and handed Eliana a rod before sitting down to roast marshmallows. After a second of hesitation, Elie did the same, settling down next to him. She put the small fluff near the fire and watch it start to roast. There was a short period of time during which neither of them said anything, which was nice, but something was bugging Elie and needed to be brought out. After making a s'more with the marshmallow she had and eating it she took in a deep breath. Tim...I don't think we can hang out like this anymore she felt the weight of the words crush her, but it was for his sake that she was saying this. Just being around me puts you in danger...if something were to happen to you... she stops, not wanting to even think about that possibility.

Image

Jakub wasn't sure what reason he was expecting to be given by Eli, but it certainly wasn't what he heard. "I was just wondering if you knew a demon named Sting." The demon felt his entire body tense up. He was looking for Sting? Why? Well, that was a bit of a dumb question. Every hunter alive was looking for Sting. BUt for whatever reason, the fact that Eli was also looking for him was a little shocking. Jakub's stomach felt like it was sinking as he wracked his brain for an answer. The hunter clearly didn't know what Sting looked like, otherwise they would be in a completely different situation. Or maybe he did know...maybe he knew all along and this was all part of the trap. Whichever it was, Jake had to give a safe answer. "Yeah I know Sting...and I want nothing to do with that monster". NO part of that statement was a lie.

Image

The cup crushing in Verena's hand made Matt jump a bit. He watched her with deer like eyes as she cleaned up the evidence before leaving to the kitchen. "What's her problem?" Luke asked, his words slightly slurred. He clearly had one too many cups of whiskey. The wolf shook his head before shoving his boss towards the living room couch. "Don't mind her, she gets like that when she drinks" Mathew knew all too well hat his girlfriend didn't like this man in frint of him, but seeing as they were both too drunk to function, it was best to lie at this point. "Sit" he ordered the man as if he were a puppy in training. Luke obeyed and settled down on the couch. Matt decided to wait a while before taking him home. Driving with someone this intoxicated could be dangerous.

There was silence between them and that was okay with Timothy. There was no need to say anything or attempt to strike up conversation. He was more than fine with just sitting next to Eliana by the open flame. They made their s'mores and he started to eat his when Elie started signing to him. It seemed like she didn't want to hang out with him like they have been because of this incident. Tim understood where she was coming from, but if it bothered him then he would have told her. But he wasn't uncomfortable. He liked Eliana. A lot. And he trusted her whole heartedly. Finishing his s'more, he turned to her so he could sign. I can understand why you feel that way.. He started. But I don't want us to stop hanging out like we have been. You are so much fun to be around and really interesting to talk to. he signed with a smile on his face. In fact I want us to keep doing this. For a long while. Timothy took a small breath to work up the courage he had been trying to build up. I was wondering if you would want to date me and be my girlfriend? He asked, hoping that she wouldn't say no. He knew that she was a hunter and that being with her could get him hurt, but he did not care. He liked her and was more than okay with taking the risk.

Image

Jakub said that he knew Sting, but wanted nothing to him. Elias doubted that he knew his whereabouts. Demons that were high up on the wanted list were generally good at staying out of plain sight. Beserk was also up there on the list and no one was has spotted her or even heard about her for years. The hunter nodded. "Okay. I was just wondering." he said, trying to push pass the subject. He didn't want to have to explain why he was looking for him or dwell into how he wanted this demon dead. For now, Jake just needed to think that Elias was just doing his job. Though being here with him was against the rules of his job. A yawn escaped Elias and he pushed himself up into the sitting position. "Where is your bathroom? I'm going to change into pajamas." He asked before standing up and venturing over to his overnight bag. He dug around until his found his basketball shorts and tank top. Not traditional pajamas, but comfortable enough. Once directed to the bathroom, he shuffled over to it and shut the door behind him.

Image

"Don't mind her, she gets like that when she drinks" Lie. Verena does tend to be more violent and hostile when she is drunk, especially around someone she hates. But she would never break a precious wine glass. How else would she drink? Out of respect for Mathias, she kept her mouth closed. She cleaned up the glass and then cleaned up the kitchen. Once that was done, she grabbed another wine glass and another bottle of wine. "Good night Mathias. Good bye Luke." She walked upstairs, away from the wolves and into her bedroom. Verena slammed the door shut and sat on the bed. She poured herself a tall glass of wine and set the bottle on the night stand. Grabbing the several knives in the drawer she started tossing them into the wall.

Tim didn't look as upset as she thought he would be. He even said he understood. The huntress was a bit sad, but mostly relied. But then the human threw her a curve ball. She had seen and heard many things in her life as a demon hunter, but this was new to her. Nothing she had lived had prepared her for this. "What...." she didn't bother to sign it, figuring Tim could understand. For a while she didn't say word, but only stared at the man's face in uetter confusion. Do you realize that dating someone like me could cause you to lose your life? she took in a deep breath, attempting to organize her thoughts. Half of her wanted to scream YES OF COURSE! but the logical side of her knew that this was the worst thing she could possibly do. Tim...not only would us dating be illegal...but I'm constantly followed by demons. Ugly, blood thirsty things like the ones from earlier that don't care who or what they have to destroy to get what they want... she could feel her eyes swelling. The words she needed to say weren't coming out. She had to tell him 'No, I can't' but but the side of her that didn't want to was too strong. Trying to convince him to change his mind was the only other option. How...how could I bring you into the middle of all that...

Image

Eli didn't explain why he wanted to know about Sting, and Jakub didn't ask. The less they talked about it, the better. WHich is why the demon was relieved when the subject was changed. "Where is your bathroom? I'm going to change into pajamas." a small smirk came across his face. "Who still wears pajamas?" he teased, but directed him to the bathroom anyway. Jake followed him there, but stayed in his bedroom. He would change while Eli was taking a shower. AFter making sure the bathroom door was closed and locked and the water could be heard, the demon pulled off his t-shirt and quickly pulled on a black tank top first. The last thing he needed was for Eli to walk out of the bathroom to find him shirtless. Once his back was fully covered, he pulled off his pants. Not expecting the hunter to walk out anytime soon, he waltzed over to his closet to put them up and look for a more comfortable pair. He would stay in his boxers if he were alone, but Eli would probably not appreciate that.

Image

"Good night Mathias. Good bye Luke." Mathias watched as his girlfriend slowly disappeared from his view. He heard the door slam shut and let out a sigh. SOmething told him the day that she and the pack got along would never come, and that really upset him, even if he didn't always let it show. "Alright Luke, let's get you home...." he muttered before getting his boss down the stairs of the apartment and into his car. Once the alpha was home safe and sound, Matt quickly returned home. AFter walking in, he hesitated a moment before going upstairs. His eyes immediately went to the knives on the wall and the bottle on alcohol in Verena's hand. "That's enough" he said drily before taking the bottle from her. Very few times had Mathias really gotten upset with her, and this was definitely one of them.

Timothy wasn't exactly sure what he was expecting as answer. The two had just been through a lot. Timothy wasn't supposed to even know about demons or about her being a hunter. But that didn't matter to him. He would pretend he never saw it if it meant he got to date Eliana. She went on to say that it was illegal for them to date and that it was dangerous. But if all this time she had been a hunter, than knowing who she was already put him in danger. Only difference now is that he is aware of the danger. I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't think I could handle the danger. he tried to explain. But there was only thing one thing keeping him from begging her to date him. But I don't want to get you in trouble. If it was illegal and they got caught, Eliana would get in trouble. He did not want that for her.

Image

Elias changed into his makeshift pajamas after a very comfortable shower. He ran a towel through his wet hair in attempt to dry it. Once he was done, he folded it up and put it to the side. He left the bathroom and put his old clothes into his over night bag. The hunter walked into the room, not expecting the demon to be without a decent pair of pants. Eli blushed a bit and looked away from him. "Do you not believe in pants for bed?" he question, while crawling under the bed. The sheets were warm and the mattress itself was soft. Elias easily made himself comfortable.

Image

Verena heard the men leave the house, but did not make any efforts to stop drinking the wine. By the time Matthias had returned she was halfway done with it. She still had a couple more knives that she could be throwing into the wall. Vera tossed one when Matthias walked in. She didn't say anything and attempted to toss another. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that her boyfriend crossed her path and then took her wine. "I'm not done with that Matty." she said not making any efforts to get up and take the bottle of him. Verena just decided to toss another knife at the wall. "Is Luke safely tucked in at home?" she asked rather bitterly as another knife went flying into the wall.

Clearly Timothy was not backing down. He said he knew what he was getting into, but in reality he probably has no idea. The world of demon hunters is more dangerous than anything he could imagine. But I don't want to get you in trouble. she stared at him for a moment, not sure how to respond to that. It was more likely that he'd get hurt than for her to get in trouble. The only ones that could tell her secret to the head council were Eli and Izzy, and neither of them would do that to her. That's the least of my concerns, Tim she signed a little slower than before. Of course, even now that they're not dating, he's in danger. Just being here with her puts him at risk, and for what? If they were to date she would have more reasons to see him, there fore more of a chance to protect him from anything that might happen. Okay... she signs, still giving it a second thought before answering again. I'd love to.

Image

"Do you not believe in pants for bed?" Jakub looked up a little startled to see a red Eli rushing over to the bed. He stiffled a chuckled before pulling on the pair of sweatpants he had pulled out of the closet. "A little warning next time" he joked. The demon could care less if Eli saw him, he didn't even care if the hunter saw him naked. His only concern was the tattoo on his back. If he didn't already know about it, someone would eventually bring it up and the would be the end of Eli and Jakub. The demon felt awful that he had to lie about something as big as his past, but it was just that, his past. Something he wanted to leave behind for good. Once Eli was settled in bed, Jake joined him, making sure to leave enough space between the two. He has most likely hit his physical contact limit for today. Looking at the clock it was barely past 10pm. "It's a bit early for bed don't you think?". The demon didn't mean anything by it. He would just suggest that they watch some TV until tey felt sleepy, but Eli might take it another way. It's just the way Jake's tone is. Anything he says sounds like flirting.

Image

"Do you not believe in pants for bed?" The wolf rolled his eyes and set the bottle aside, away from her reach. "Yeah you are" Matt didn't even know where to begin. He had never been mad at Verena. Actually, he hasn't ever been truly mad at anyone, but enough was enough. "Is Luke safely tucked in at home?" Matt can't hold it in anymore, he has to talk to her about this and he has to do it now. "Why are you like that?" he questioned, his tone sounding irritated already. "You know he's my family, he's like my brother, he took care of me when no one else did and you treat him like he's a delinquent off the streets. He hasn't done anything to you. None of the pack memebers have, but none of them ever come to visit me, I'm sure you can guess why" it felt odd talking to her this way, like he should immediately apologize, but Matt knew he hadn't done anything wrong. He had nothing to apologize for.

Timothy honestly did not want Eliana to get in trouble. If that happens then he won’t be able to see her at all. He would understand if she was persistent in her answer and did not want to date. What he wasn’t expecting was her to agree. Tim smiled happily at her. ’Great!’ He signed, rather excitedly. ’Besides the fact that there were demons here’... Tim spelled out the word demon, since he wasn’t exactly sure what the sign was for it since he never had to use it. ’Are you enjoying camping?’ The whole point was the be able to show her how amazing it was to be out in nature, not unintentionally reveal her occupation.

"A little warning next time" Elias made a mental note to remember to knock. He was just used to walking in out of people’s rooms when he is at home. Though, Elie and Isabelle usually want him to knock he kind of just knocks and walks in. Eli turned to face Jakub when he climbed in bed. There was a reasonable amount of space between the two. Elias felt as though he has shared more than enough personal space with the demon as it was. Though he needed it and Eli genuinely missed him despite not saying it out loud. "It's a bit early for bed don't you think?" The hunter looked over at the clock on the wall. It was only a little past 10pm. Usually he would be patrolling right about now, but he has taken the weekend off since he was supposed to be on a camping trip with Elie. Eli nodded in agreement. It was early, but he wasn’t really sure what to do. He would read, but then he would never go to sleep. The hunter would read well into the morning if it were up to him. ”What should we do then?” Whatever it was, Elias kind of wanted to stay in bed. It was extremely comfortable and soft. It was even warmer now that Jake joined him. Though he wasn’t touching him, the heat was radiating off of him which was more than enough.

Verena watched him move the alcohol away from him. Clearly, she wasn’t drinking anymore. It didn’t matter anyway. Luke was gone and she was sufficiently past tipsy. "Why are you like that?" Verena sighed and looked to Mathias. He was genuinely upset with her and she wasn’t going to interrupt his rant. She deserved it. Verena was being ruder than usual to Luke and she wasn’t going to deny it. But she wasn’t even mad at the pack. Verena was more mad at herself for the fact that once she confesses her true occupation and reveals the lies that exactly who he would be going back too. Verena looked at him kind of sadly. ”I’m sorry, Matty.” This was second time she has apologized within the week. She was not going to make a habit of this. ”I don’t to scare your pack away it’s just…” she looked away from him. ”I know none of them liked me and if it were up to them I would be dead and you would be back with them.” She said simply. Verena ran her fingers through her hair and just shook her head. ”I will try to be nicer to them.” She said to him, meaning every word she said.

Eliana couldn't tell if she was too nervous or too excited, but her stomach felt like it was trying to do summersalts. ’Are you enjoying camping?’ She had to think for a moment. Surely running into demons and having to spill all her secrets was not in the original itinerary for this camping trip, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for her. WHat was out of the ordinary was what would be something completely normal for girls her age. She learned to make s'mores, went on a hike and oh, not to mention got herself a boyfriend. She couldn't help but wonder what Eli would say about that. Other than almost being killed, it's been really fun she signed, making sure Tim knew she was being honest about the having fun part. A small yawn escaped her accidentally and she gave him an apologetic smile. Sorry, demon hunting tends to wear me out she added.

Jakub hoped Eli wouldn't ask him what to do, for one because he really had no idea. Normally those that spent the night at his apartment, other than Verena, didn't have to ask what was going to be done. They were there for one reason and one reason only. But this time it was completely different. Eli was not there for that reason or anything close to it and for the first time ever, Jakub had no idea what to do. Of course he had a few suggestions on how the two boys could spend their time, none of which Eli would be in agreement with. "Mmm, well" the demon hums, attempting to stall until he can think of something. "I've still got a library's worth of sotries left in here" he says, gently gesturing to his head as he makes himself a bit more comfortable. "You're more than welcomed to search" he opens his arms up slightly, giving Eli an invitation to make himself comfortable in them. He hopes the hunter won't reject it, that would surely be embarrassing.

”I know none of them liked me and if it were up to them I would be dead and you would be back with them.” Mathias sighs, knowing the demoness had a point. Still, it's partially her fault they hate her so much. ”I will try to be nicer to them.” The wolf nods, wondering if she's really planning on trying or if she's only saying those words to appease him. It wouldn't be the first time. He let's out a sigh, his shoulders lowering in partial defeat. "You know they didn't always hate you" he states, remembering when he had first told them he was dating the demoness. "They were just worried you might try to hurt me. Maybe if you had been nice to them you could have became friends" he says, partially hopeful. "But maybe it's not too late...just..." he scratches the back of his head in frustration, consequence of being in this situation one too many times. "Just promise me you'll try"

Timothy nodded happily, when Eliana said that she was having a good time. He was a bit worried since he had never taken anyone camping that didn't already camping. He thought that she would get disinterested in some of the activities. It didn't help that they were also almost killed by a demon. After that, Tim firmly believed Elie was going to suggest that they go home so that she could do her hunter work. He wasn't even sure what he would call it, but it would mean the end of their weekend. He pulled from his thoughts when he noticed Elie yawn and then explain her reason to the visibly tiredness. He smiled at her. 'I can imagine.' Tim yawned as well. Not that it had anything to with the demon. More over it had everything to do with the fact that he never stayed up late and just being out in nature always tired him out easily. 'We should actually go sleep. I was planning on waking you up early so that you could see the sunrise.' He wasn't sure how she was going to feel about waking up at the crack of dawn, but the sunrise was always beautiful

Elias was racking his brain trying to come up with something to do that didn't involve getting out of bed that also didn't involve a lot of touching. The hunter was only going to do so much and there was still one boundary that he couldn't cross. Though earlier in the day when they were in the living room, he wasn't the one to stop their rather intense make out session. When he isn't all tangled up in the other's personal space, he could clearly state that he was uninterested in having sex with Jakub. But the second the two invaded one another's space, Eli couldn't say that. In fact, he couldn't think straight like he usually does. It was kind of scary. Elias didn't want to experience that again, but at the same time that feeling was almost euphoric and borderline addicting. Being so caught up in his thoughts, he almost didn't realized that Jake was talking to him. His arms were open and inviting. Eli has never been more conflicted in his life. Part of him, needed space. Lots of space. In fact he was kind of thinking of canceling this entire weekend because this entire situation was freaking him out. But the other part of him, the unusual part of him moved closer to the demon. As Eli settled in his arms, he notices how much more comforting the warmth was from the source. He had almost forgotten to ask for a history story. "Tell me one of your favorite historical memories." Eli had done a lot of demanding about what exactly he wanted to know, but he wanted Jake to share.

"Just promise me you'll try" Verena looked to Mathias and nodded. "I promise." There are many times when the demoness has easily lied to her wolf's face in order to get him to be less upset with her or to get him to do whatever she wanted. But this time she really meant she said. Vera was going to be nicer to the pack, especially the leader. Though she wouldn't apologized. She reserved apologies for Jakub and Mathias. Everyone else will just have to deal without it. She smiled slightly at her wolf and then stood up. "I'm going to take a bath." she said as she made her way over to the bathroom. Verena turned on the hot water and slowly stripped down as she waited for the tub to fill up.
