There was an earthquake happening. Mathias struggled to wake up, he had to get out of the house before it crushed him. He had to find Verena and make sure she was okay. He popped his eyes opened with a start and looked around frantically to make sure nothing had fallen on him, but nothing was even moving. He blinked a few times, realizing his girlfriend was there with him, and the earthquake had just been her shaking him. He sighed in relief and grumbled something incoherent before wrapping his arms around her and pulling her against his chest. He rested his chin on her head and let out a satisfied sigh. Now he could sleep soundly. He was still halfway in his sleeping state and didn't even think about why Verena had shaken him to wake him up. All Matt wanted to do now was sleep with his beautiful and possibly irritated girlfriend. He knew she didn't like it when the pack took him out to drink, but it was tradition. It had been established long before Mathias met her, and he couldn't not join them. Of course he didn't have to drink, but everytime he said he wasn't going to drink the guys shoved all sorts of drinks into his mouth. Eventually he just continued to drink on his own. Luckily that was only once a month. The rest of the month, aside from the night of the full moon, he spent it with Verena. This was one way they could spend time together, sleeping off the hangover from the night before.
Jakub was fully expecting the hunter ro say something like "You're under arrest" or anything variations of that which implied Jakub being handcuffed, turned into the organization and eventually killed for his sins. Instead he got a plain and somewhat amusing response. Jakub's eyebrows dissapeared into his hairline for a moment before coming back down. He turned around, wanting to get a look at the face of this hunter. As he did, Jake's bright blues met with the hunter's and he had to admit, he was the cutest one he had seen in a very long time. What surprised him the most was the man's facial expression. He didn't look angry, nor surprised like the majority of hunters he had ran into recently. I'm fact he looked as if he had no idea who Jakub was. Strange, but a big relief, assuming he wasn't simply acting to ambush him later. Not to mention, his face had a very familiar air to it, as if they had met once before, but Jakub would have remebered meeting someone so handsome. It could just be a coinsidecne. Perhaps he just have one of those faces.
"You're patrolling all on your own? Such bravery" Jake said, his lips curling into a subtle smile. The small silver chocker on the demon's neck jungled quietly as he stepped closer.
"Please be careful. It'd be a shame if anything happened to that handsome face of yours". Jakub had no problems with complementing others, even when he didn't nesesarily like them, though this particular hunter had left an unusual impression on him. He would have stayed longer, but he didn't want to risk the other suddenly pulling out a gun. He didn't want to fight now, so he simply continued to walk in the direction he was headed before, giving the handsome man a quick wave before dissapearing into the nearest alley.
After what seemed like centuries though it was just a few hours, Eliana finished her homework. She looked at the clock, quickly shutting the book once she realized it was time to get dressed for the party. Neither Eli nor Izzy were back yet, so it looked like she had no choice but to go out as well. At least that's what she told herself. She glided over to her closet, immediately locating a short red dress she had saved for parties and special occasions, along with a strap pair of black pumps. They stood put from the majority of her other shoes, which were mainly knee high or combat boots and sneakers. She didn't wear the sneakers very often. Boots were her footwear of choice anytime she went out hunting, and she spent the majority of the time at home barefoot. After fixing her make up, sliding on her favorite shade of red lipstick and letting her long black locks down, she slid into her dress and heels. Not too dressed up, but just dressed up enough for the occasion. The hostess' house wasn't too far from Eliana's. It only took a few minutes to get there. As soon as she knocked on the door it opened to a very excited looking blonde.
"Am I too late?" she joked and was immediately pulled inside. Elie looked around, locating several faces she recognized. Many of the people there knew here, but she wasn't close with any. Being a demon hunter in a secret society didn't allow you have any close friendships. Her only close friends were her brother and godmother. Sad, but that was a hunter's reality. As she worked her way through the crowd, saying hello to everyone she knew, she spotted one face in particular and smiled. If there was anyone she was glad to see it was Timothy. She squeezed her way through and gently tapped his shoulder, greeting him with a smile and a quick wave once he turned around.
