By the looks of it, Eli had finished his book. Jakub was beyond amazed. He had barely started it when he first got to his appartment and he had already finished, meanwhile it took Jakub three or four days just to read one chapter.
"Too busy reading to plan my escape." The demon chuckled.
"You must not want to escape that badly then" he joked as he walked into the kitchen. It was well past noon and the demon was starving. A small piece of cake and a cup of coffee wasn't a meal, so Jake decided it was time to make lunch. He would of course share with Eli if he decided to stay long enough.
"Are you hungry?" he asked from the kitchen. By what he had seen the night before, the hunter could eat a good amount, and considering he was much bigger than Jakub, he must be just as if not more hungry. He thought for a moment on what to make. Nothing that would take too long. Jakub wasn't sure how much more time Eli had to stay here, also he was too hungry to wait for anything that took longer than an hour. He decided to go with something fast and simple. Chicken fried rice. He had been to China a few times and got some pointers on how to cook some of the meals. Fried rice was one of the easiest and fastest to make. Without waiting another second he began pulling out ingredients. Once he had everything he needed he got to work.
Isabelle seemed very interested in what Eliana had to say, but the huntress didn't know where to begin. She hardly ever asked Izzy for advice, let alone about boys. In fact she couldn't recall every liking someone enough to have to ask for advice, which meant that she could be in trouble. The huntress let out a sigh and decided to just dive right in.
"He goes to my school" she explained, trying to pick the right words for what she was going to say next.
"I didn't know I liked him, until afew days ago". Isabelle watched her with that look that a mother would give her kids when she's worried, but at the same time she almost looked happy.
"I can't afford to like a human...how do I fix it?". Isabelle remained quiet for a moment before putting her spoon down and taking a seat beside her. She looked troubled, but there was still a small smile on her face.
"I won't say anything if you won't". Elie looked at her in confusion for several seconds before realizing what she meant. A small smile spread on her face.
"Are you telling me to break the rules Izzy?" he asked, slightly amused. The guardian smiled a little bigger and stood up to tend to the food once again.
"No of course not, I would never" she said, but there was a hint of sarcasm in her voice. Eliana chuckled, not sure why she ever thought talking to Isabelle about this would be hard.
"Just be very careful. Humans may not be dangerous, but no one is immune to a broken heart". Elie nodded slightly. She could deal with hiding from the society, but she had never dealt with a broken heart.
