Verena thought she had won. She thought that Jakub was going to give up this ridiculous idea of not killing people and running away. But she was wrong oh so very wrong. "Maybe we need to part ways for a bit
I don't want to ruin your fun but I can't give you what you want. Not this time" The demon was speechless. Absolutely speechless. He grabbed his keys and jacket. He gave her a look as if this were the last time. Like their years of being together was coming to an end at this very moment. Even their kiss was like the last time. Tears filled her eyes as he walked out. She touched her lips with the tips of her fingers and just let the tears fall. Jakub had just broken up with her. Through away everything they had together and left them brokenhearted. What was she supposed to do without Jakub? That was all she had and now she didn't have him anymore. Verena wiped the tears off her cheek and then left the apartment. She got out onto the street and started heading back towards her home. She wasn't even worried about hunters that were running around looking for her and Jakub. The demon cut through a park to get back home and she saw a bunch of hunters surrounding some man. She was hoping to get by without being bothered, but being the most wanted demon makes her a priority arrest. "Stop right there Berserk! You are also under arrest!" One of the hunters shouted, heading over towards her. Also? They were arresting the man? It didn't matter. "Go away hunter. I am not in the mood." She warned, as she continued to walk.

Lucio had come up with a fabulous plan. Make Jakub's life a living hell. Messing up some kids and Verena's life was just icing on the cake. He got home, rather excited. He had killed a very powerful hunter. Every demon knows that killing a powerful hunter was against every rule. It was better to just turn themselves in. Lucio didn't care. That hunter was just a hunter. And now he was dead. Which meant there was one less demon to worry about. He walked into his house, trying to think of the different punishments the demons were going to get. He was hoping something painful. Lucio ran his fingers through his hair when there was a heavy pounding on his door. Raising an eyebrow, he moved to open the door. When he did, he smiled lightly at a pissed off Jakub. "Why don't you look happy to see me?" He asked, leaning against the doorway. "I'm happy to see you."

Jakub had to practically force himself to stay in place when the door opened and the traitor's face appeared in front of him. The same face he once worshiped now he couldn't stand to look at. It was all well, until Lucio spoke. Jakub snapped immediately, grabbing him by the collar with both hands, and slammed him against the nearest wall. "I don't know what you want from me, or what you think you'll obtain but let me make this very clear" he said, inching his face a little closer. "You don't scare me. Not anymore". As he let go, Jake pushed him against the wall a bit for good measure, before backing up a few steps. The blue eyed demon folded his arms across his chest and stared back at his former lover with a stone cold glare. One he usually only reserved for hunters, and now for him as well. "Spit it out, what do you want? You want me in jail? You want Verena for yourself? You want me to despise you because if that's the case then you don't need to do much, in fact you don't need to do anything". Jakub's eyes roamed the taller demon's body and face, attempting to come up with a solution as to what he could possibly want out of this. He was sure of one thing; whatever Lucio wanted, it wasn't him. As far as Jakub was concerned, Lucio never gave a damn about him, even when they were together. Regardless of what his target was, Jakub was prepared to tare it apart just like he had done with his heart.

Mathias was in a bit of a pickle. Well, that was an understatement. He was surrounded by five highly skilled hunters who all had one thing in commen; they wanted to arrest him. Why? Mathias wasn't even sure. Some ridiculous rule about not being able to legally transform completely into a wolf unless it was a full moon. Moonlight had an arsenal of ridiculous rules just like that one. As if Mathias could could control weather he transformed or didn't at all times. Sometimes it came unannounced and he had no choice but to let it happen. But no, the hunters didn't care about small details such as those. They were fixated on arresting him, and here he was, butt naked and attempting to cover as much of himself as he could with a ripped piece of his own clothing. "Look, it was an accident" he attempted to protest but something seemed to distract them momentarily. A woman? A very beautiful woman. One of the hunters refered to her as Berserk and somehow that sounded incredibly familiar, but Mathias couldn't put his finger on it. They seemed to want to arrest her too for some reason. This looked to be his chance to exlscape. When the opportunity arose, Mathias attempted to make a run for it, but two of the hunters went after him, meanwhile the others surrounded the womam. So much for that plan.

Verena wiped the final tears from her cheeks, when a hunter blocked her path. A weapon pointed directly at her. Two more joined him, surrounding her. A sigh escaped her. She was not in the mood to deal with more hunters. Not after she had lost her boyfriend because of them and Lucio. "Please don't make me fight any more of you tonight." She muttered, running her fingers through her raven black hair. "Berserk you are under arrest for your heinous crimes against humanity." She rolled her eyes. They just keep reminding her about all the people she has killed. To be fair, Verena doesn't start anything with hunters. They start fights with her and they just happen to end up dead. "And for the murders against many hunters." Verena's hand dropped to her sides and her nails elongated into sharp claws. "Last chance." She warned. The hunter behind her pulled the trigger and she ran out of the way. Ending up behind her, the demon grabbed the hunters arm and snapped it the bone in two. She cried out in pain and Verena tossed her at a tree. The tree has a dent in it from where the hunter landed. Verena snatched the gun at one of the guys and kicked him hard in the chest. She heard a couple of cracks which she figured was from his ribs. He dropped and she punched him in the face. The last hunter shot and grazed Verena's arm. She cursed and shot the hunter in the legs. The demon kicked his gun away.

Turning around, she saw that two hunters were still surrounding a naked guy. She walked towards them and they were trembling. She pistol whipped one across the face and shot the other in the arm, making him drop his gun. He dropped to the ground after Verena karate chopped his neck. Looking around she realized that she might have gone a bit far to cause them all pain. But she was sad and angry. The demon can say she honestly felt better after this. Dropping the hunter's gun, her attention went to the naked man. Her grey eyes roamed him for a moment. He was very handsome, but she wasn't trying to flirt. She just wanted to go home. "Steal their clothes and go home before they come to." She told him, turning to walk away. Verena should have killed them all. But she had injured them pretty bad, it was still effective.

Lucio was slammed up against the wall, but he wasn't phased. The smirk didn't even leave his face. Though he didn't scare Jakub, he still knew how to get to him. It was mostly through Verena. That was the best way to handle things. But killing a hunter was killing two birds with one stone. The demon was more than proud of himself. Jake let him go and backed. Lucio adjusted his shirt as his ex lover spoke. "Spit it out, what do you want? You want me in jail? You want Verena for yourself? You want me to despise you because if that's the case then you don't need to do much, in fact you don't need to do anything" Lucio was disgusted by one of the options Jakub had given. But he was amused by the others. "There is one thing you never have to worry about Jakub. And that's me taking the demon bitch from you." He said, with some bitterness. Lucio hates Verena and vice versa. "But the ultimate plan is to make your life a living hell. And so far. It's working." Lucio said, pleased with the response. He looked around thinking he would see Verena with him. They were pretty much always together. "Where is Miss Berserk? You left her all alone just to come and see me?" He asked, hands on his chest as if he was being wooed.

As if it wasn't already irritating enough, Lucio's smirk didn't falter. How Jakub hated that smirk. It's the same smirk he used to give when he knew he had won, when he knew he had power over Jakub. "But the ultimate plan is to make your life a living hell. And so far. It's working.". Jake's eyes narrowed for a moment, deciding to ignore the comments about Verena for now, and suddenly a rumbling came from his throat. He was laughing. The whole situation seemed so ridiculous to him, it made him laugh. "That's cute. You think you still own me" Jakub laughed humorously. He took a step closer to the demon, his own blue eyes piercing into the other's. "Did you know I worshiped you? I needed you to live, to breathe," as he spoke he moved closer, his features easing out into a relaxed expression. If Lucio's motive was to make Jakub angry, he wouldn't have the satisfaction. "Despite everything you said and did, despite the way you treated me like your puppet, I craved to see this face every morning, laying next to me". The shorter demon's hand slowly lifted and was placed on the other's cheek, his back nails quietly stretching out into sharp claws. "Because I believed you truly loved me. That you just wanted me all to yourself. That
was a living hell" he said, putting the emphasis on "that". The claw on his pointer finger slowly dug into the skin of the taller man's cheek as Jake's face inched closer. "I'm not that stupid, naive kid anymore." the same claw skimmed down the soft skin, leaving a cut from the cheek bone down to the jawline before it was removed. Using the same hand, Jake dug into the inside pocket of his leather jacket, fishing around a bit before pulling out a small pendant. A thing bronze chain with a rounded piece of metal, engraved with Lucio's family symbol. He hooked it on one claw and, after taking one of Lucio's hands, he lowered it onto his palm, gently closing the demon's hand around it. Jakub knew he should have done this a long time ago, but it was better late than never. His fce remained a mask of indifference as he looked back up at the face he once adored. "You're going to remember me for the rest of your pathetic life".

Mathias watched in amazement as the woman they called Berserk took out each and every one of the hunters with ease. She didn't kill them, for some reason, but damaged them enough to render them useless for a while. He was staring in awe, so entranced that he almost missed her comment. He looked down at himself, remembering he was naked and suddenly felt self conscious. She started to walk away but he quickly held out a hand as if that would stop her. "Wait! Wait!". He quickly glanced around at the hunter's for one that looked about his size and rushed over. He pulled off a pair of leather pants along with a black t-shirt and pulled them both on. The leather pants were a bit tight and felt odd against his bare skin. The t-shirt was also a little tight, though he didn't mind too much. It hugged his muscles just the right way. This style of clothing wasn't exactly his cup of tea, but it beats the alternative. He turned to the woman again, realizing she was still walking and hurried to catch up with her. "Wait, please!" he quickly moved in front of her and smiled softly. "You saved my life. I'm forever in your debt". Being warewolf meant one was loyal to their word. Mathias would certainly find some way to thank her.

Verena was ready to go home and take a long bath. It would help her relax after the stress she has gone through with Jake today. The demon ran her fingers through her hair, making her way out of the park. "Wait! Wait!" She glanced back at the naked man, hoping around to get on some decent clothes. But she kept walking. Whatever he had to say did not need to be said. The guy didn't die and she wasn't being arrested. All was well. At least the part of her day was. She was still bitter about Lucio and her break up. "Wait, please!" The not so naked man appeared before her. The clothes on him were a bit too tight, but she was more concerned with him blocking her path. She was getting tired of people getting in the way of her destination. "You saved my life. I'm forever in your debt" Verena raised an eyebrow. "That's not necessary." She explained trying to walk around him. She was going to leave him for dead. He should actually be thanking the hunters for taking their attention off him. "No need to be in debt to me."

Image

Lucio was not happy with Jakub's relaxed expression. It wasn't really because he wasn't angry because Jake's life was still falling apart. Even with the calmness in his tone, Lucio was still winning. Whether Jake admitted it or not. "I'm not that stupid, naive kid anymore. If only Jakub knew. Lucio will always have owned him. Despite everything that had gone on, Jakub belonged to him. He kept his mouth shut as he watched Jakub dig into his pocket. He pulled out a pendant that Lucio quickly recognized. It was a family emblem. It was something he gave it to him as a way of branding. To make him his. The fact that this blue eyed demon still had it said a lot. Lucio took hold of pendant and slid it into his pocket. "You're going to remember me for the rest of your pathetic life" Lucio chuckled softly. "And you're going to remember me for the rest of yours."

Lucio didn't say much after Jakub spoke, which was surprising and suspicious. He wasn't the type to just stay silent. When he threw Jakub's comment back to him, Jake knew he was right. Forgetting someone like him, forgetting everything he'd done, it wasn't a simple task. In fact it might even be impossible, but Jakub had something Lucio didn't. Freedom of mind. Despite being hunted down by hundreds upon hundreds of hunters and being framed for killing that man, Jakub had freed himself from Lucio's grasp even if the other didn't think so. Thanks to Verena, Jake no longer felt pain when he looked at his ex lover's face, only hate, and as far as the night's incident went, Jakub was determined to turn in the real murderer. How and when, he didn't know yet, but it would happen. By the look on his face and that air of superiority and arrogance he wore, Jakub could tell that Lucio still believed he owned him. In his mind, Jakub was still his property. Jakub only wished he could be around for the moment when he realizes he's completely wrong. "I'll see you soon Andrews" he said as he turned for the door, making sure Lucio caught a glimpse of the smirk playing on his lips first. "Very soon". Jakub reached for the handle, second guessing himself for a moment and wondering if he should just attempt to capture him now, but talked himself out of it. A situation such as this needed to be handled delicately. Soon enough, the demon would be behind bars.

The woman called Berserk insisted that Mathias didn't owe her anything, but he didn't agree. She had just saved him from a pack of hunters. That was a big deal, at least to Matt it was. "No but I do!" he insisted as he searched around for something. He had thought about giving the woman his number, but his phone had dissapeared, along with his clothing. His deep blue eyes moved back to her and he smiled slightly. "I'm Mathias" he introduced, bowing a but before changing his mind and holding out a hand for her to shake instead. He was feeling a bit nervous, but he couldn't tell if it was because of the presence of the beautiful strange woman or because the hunters were still alive and could wake up at any moment. Mathias knew he should get out of there before that happened, but he wanted to assure her that he was going to pay her back for what she had done for him. He paused for a moment, noticing a thin shiny object on the ground and picked it up. It looked like a pen, but he tested it out first to make sure. Once he was certain the inside was filled with ink and not some sort of weird poison, he gently took the woman's hand and turned it over, quickly scribbling his name and number on her wrist. As he looked up at her to explain, he heard his name being called. From within the trees behind her, a couple of Shadows emerged. It only took him seconds to recognize a couple of members from his pack. "I thought you said you were in trouble" the leader spoke first. "uh, I was" he muttered as he let the pen drop. Without hesitation he gently kissed the top of her hand and smiled, thanking her once again before rushing back to the pack.

Verena was done make suicidal human beings. After a while they were all doing the same thing. Shooting themselves. Jumping off a building. Hanging themselves. The demon was done with the repetitious kills. And it was getting late, hunters would be walking around ready to kill any demon that dared showed their face. Verena has been trying not to kill anymore hunters, but it was hard with them after her and all. Combing her fingers through her hair, she started to head back to her home with her boyfriend Mathias. She wanted to cuddle with him and feel his warmth. Due to his werewolf he was super cuddly and extra warm. She loved that about him. At least that was one of the things she loved about him. There were so many other things that it was too long a list to name all of it. A smile came to the demon's face as her thoughts filled with boyfriend. It wasn't long before she walked into her house. "Matty I'm home!" She called out, shutting the door behind him. Verena was hoping he was home but he could be with his pack. They were still relevant in his life.

Eli flipped a page in his psychology textbook. It was rather interesting trying to understand the theories that many people had when it came to the mind. He still couldn't find a theory that had to do with silent children or children that talked to much. He glanced up at his sibling before going back to his textbook. Maybe there was some strange theory on twins that don't quite share everything equally. Not that he minded not talking. In fact it allowed him to listen more and enjoy things more. Like this psych textbook. His eyes found the clock and he let out an audible sigh. It was the first noise he has made for the past two hours. He was too buys reading to say anything. Elias folded the top corner of the book before closing it. He rolled out of bed and dug around in his top drawer for gun. It was his turn for the hunt patrol. At least between the two of them it was. He has forced Elie to go out for the pass week so that he could finish studying for a test. But he agreed through writing to go today. "I'm leaving." He attached the gun holster to his belt along with the clips full of gold bullets.

Timothy turned off the tv. The show that came on didn't have subtitles so there was no point to having it on. Instead he decided that he should at least get some schoolwork done. Even if was going to be difficult. There were some notes he didn't get because the sign language translator missed some things. He walked over to his desk and logged into his computer. He wanted to see if the teacher put up any notes online. If she had, that would be great. While he waited for it to boot up, he flipped open his math textbook. Not his best subject, but numbers were much easier to understand without a teacher or translator. He started working on the homework problems when he felt a persistent vibration. Looking over, he saw the light of is phone blinking. Reaching for it, he saw that he got a text. A friend of his was having a party and Timothy was invited. He checked the time the party was supposed to start and then he checked the actual time. He could get most of his homework done and still attend the party. He agreed to the party and officially started doing his work.

There was no noise being made in the house. Verena assumed that he was out with his pack. They always tried to take up the other half of his time. But when he is with him, he is practically exhausted from running around with them. The demon doesn't mind that he is spending time with his family, but it was annoying that she had to share him. Sharing wasn't something she was an expert at. She dropped her keys on the table near the front door and walked towards the kitchen. The demon poured herself a glass of water to take with her to her bedroom. Since no one was home she could walk around in her undergarments. Well she could still do that with Mathias, but she doesn't get the same kind of peace she does when she is by herself. The demon took a sip of her water and pushed open the door to her bedroom. Her eyes easily found the wolf tangled up in the sheets. He seemed to be in a deep sleep since he couldn't hear her call out to him. Walking closer to the bed, she placed her glass of water down on the nightstand. A soft smile came to her face. He was so peaceful. Moving over to her closet, she pulled off her clothing leaving her in her bra and underwear. Then she moved back to the bed, crawling under the sheets with him. It wasn't because she was tired, it was to get his warmth. Verena pecked his lips, but pulled back rather quickly. It tasted like alcohol. She rolled her eyes. That dumb pack. She was going to let him sleep, but he needs to drink water and shower. "Mathias. Mathias wake up." Verena demanded, shaking him slightly.

Elias ran his fingers through his hair nodded as his sisters concern. They were both usually careful, but expressing ones concerns was something of habit. Especially after their father died at the hands of demon during an arrest. Some demon name Sting did it. Neither of the twins knew what he looked like or his actual name. But they hated him. It has become a mission of his almost to find him and eradicate him like they did with the demon that killed their mother. Both of the twins prayed daily that Isabelle, their new guardian, would come home to them every night. They were sick of losing people they cared about. With a final wave to his sister, he left the building and started his walk. Eli cursed himself for not bringing a book. Sometimes if its a slow night, he just reads in the park until dawn. He made sure to remind himself to bring a book next time he went on patrol so that he isn't extremely bored. Elias stuffed his hands into his pockets and he slowly made his way down the street. He looked around every now and then to keep his eyes on something strange. Or a demon. Up a head he spotted a demon. One that was rather familiar, though he couldn't place his finger on why. So he just started following it. Eli wasn't trying to arrest him or kill him, he was just curious of the familiarity of the creature. ”Can I help you, little hunter?” A sigh escaped the hunter. He was trying not to get caught for this exact reason. Explaining himself. "No. You can't." Elias said simply. He didn't even draw his weapon. There was no need. Demon wasn't doing anything wrong. Elias was the one following him.

Timothy finished all of his math homework and could barely get through his history homework. The notes were half done and the teacher didn't put anything up online. So he struggled through trying to see if he could figure it through the textbook. It was the only thing that allowed him to finish it. Tim either needed a better translator or he needed to convince the teacher that the notes should go up online. Checking the time, he saw that the party would be starting soon. He got up from his desk, after shutting down his computer, and got dressed. Timothy went with dark blue jeans and a plaid shirt. He combed his fingers through his hair and slid into a pair of black sneakers. Timothy glanced over to his hear aids and decided against having them. They were only used to block out loud noises to his sensitive ears. But he liked the feel of the loud music against his ears. He pocketed his phone and keys before leaving. The party wasn't far from where he lived so walking wasn't a problem. Within moments he knocked on the front door and his friend opened it up. "Glad you could make it Timothy!" She exclaimed. Though she put emphasis on her enunciation so that he could read her lips. Thanks for inviting me He signed with a smile knowing she had no idea what he was saying. She just let him in and immediately he could feel the bass of the music vibrate on his skin. He just knew that he was going to have fun. Or least some kind of fun.

There was an earthquake happening. Mathias struggled to wake up, he had to get out of the house before it crushed him. He had to find Verena and make sure she was okay. He popped his eyes opened with a start and looked around frantically to make sure nothing had fallen on him, but nothing was even moving. He blinked a few times, realizing his girlfriend was there with him, and the earthquake had just been her shaking him. He sighed in relief and grumbled something incoherent before wrapping his arms around her and pulling her against his chest. He rested his chin on her head and let out a satisfied sigh. Now he could sleep soundly. He was still halfway in his sleeping state and didn't even think about why Verena had shaken him to wake him up. All Matt wanted to do now was sleep with his beautiful and possibly irritated girlfriend. He knew she didn't like it when the pack took him out to drink, but it was tradition. It had been established long before Mathias met her, and he couldn't not join them. Of course he didn't have to drink, but everytime he said he wasn't going to drink the guys shoved all sorts of drinks into his mouth. Eventually he just continued to drink on his own. Luckily that was only once a month. The rest of the month, aside from the night of the full moon, he spent it with Verena. This was one way they could spend time together, sleeping off the hangover from the night before.

Image

Jakub was fully expecting the hunter ro say something like "You're under arrest" or anything variations of that which implied Jakub being handcuffed, turned into the organization and eventually killed for his sins. Instead he got a plain and somewhat amusing response. Jakub's eyebrows dissapeared into his hairline for a moment before coming back down. He turned around, wanting to get a look at the face of this hunter. As he did, Jake's bright blues met with the hunter's and he had to admit, he was the cutest one he had seen in a very long time. What surprised him the most was the man's facial expression. He didn't look angry, nor surprised like the majority of hunters he had ran into recently. I'm fact he looked as if he had no idea who Jakub was. Strange, but a big relief, assuming he wasn't simply acting to ambush him later. Not to mention, his face had a very familiar air to it, as if they had met once before, but Jakub would have remebered meeting someone so handsome. It could just be a coinsidecne. Perhaps he just have one of those faces. "You're patrolling all on your own? Such bravery" Jake said, his lips curling into a subtle smile. The small silver chocker on the demon's neck jungled quietly as he stepped closer. "Please be careful. It'd be a shame if anything happened to that handsome face of yours". Jakub had no problems with complementing others, even when he didn't nesesarily like them, though this particular hunter had left an unusual impression on him. He would have stayed longer, but he didn't want to risk the other suddenly pulling out a gun. He didn't want to fight now, so he simply continued to walk in the direction he was headed before, giving the handsome man a quick wave before dissapearing into the nearest alley.

After what seemed like centuries though it was just a few hours, Eliana finished her homework. She looked at the clock, quickly shutting the book once she realized it was time to get dressed for the party. Neither Eli nor Izzy were back yet, so it looked like she had no choice but to go out as well. At least that's what she told herself. She glided over to her closet, immediately locating a short red dress she had saved for parties and special occasions, along with a strap pair of black pumps. They stood put from the majority of her other shoes, which were mainly knee high or combat boots and sneakers. She didn't wear the sneakers very often. Boots were her footwear of choice anytime she went out hunting, and she spent the majority of the time at home barefoot. After fixing her make up, sliding on her favorite shade of red lipstick and letting her long black locks down, she slid into her dress and heels. Not too dressed up, but just dressed up enough for the occasion. The hostess' house wasn't too far from Eliana's. It only took a few minutes to get there. As soon as she knocked on the door it opened to a very excited looking blonde. "Am I too late?" she joked and was immediately pulled inside. Elie looked around, locating several faces she recognized. Many of the people there knew here, but she wasn't close with any. Being a demon hunter in a secret society didn't allow you have any close friendships. Her only close friends were her brother and godmother. Sad, but that was a hunter's reality. As she worked her way through the crowd, saying hello to everyone she knew, she spotted one face in particular and smiled. If there was anyone she was glad to see it was Timothy. She squeezed her way through and gently tapped his shoulder, greeting him with a smile and a quick wave once he turned around.

Verena was about to say something to Mathias when he work up. He seemed to be a bit worried when he had awoken. Like something dangerous was happening. But once they locked eyes he calmed down. The demon couldn't believe that her wolf had just fallen back to sleep. Her boyfriend was so comfortable and she was a hard time being upset with him as he cuddled her. But the demon needed to stand her ground about how she felt with him going out and getting drunk. She was not sleeping off his hangover especially when she wasn't tired. "Matty." She mumbled, pushing him away. He needed to wake up. She couldn't scold a sleeping wolf. The demon sat up in bed, shaking him some more. "Mathias. You smell like alcohol." she told him, reaching over and grabbing the glass of water she had earlier. She took a sip of it and then held it out for him to take when he got up. "Drink some water." She said to him.

Image

Elias looked over the demon when he turned to face him. The hunter was not going to lie to himself. The demon was rather attractive. Especially his eyes. There pale blue eyes were just easy to get lost in. He was trying imagine seeing those particular eyes more often. Although the hunter was checking out the demon, his face remained neutral. He wasn't going to give away the fact that he found him attractive. Not at all. "You're patrolling all on your own? Such bravery" Elias refrained from rolling his eyes. Walking outside in the dark wasn't all that dangerous. He has been doing it for years. And he had a loaded gun with gold bullets. If something were to go wrong he would just shoot them. The demon took a step towards him and Eli almost pulled out his gun. Ever since he was taught how to be a hunt, he refuses to let demons get close to him. Too close becomes a danger zone. "Please be careful. It'd be a shame if anything happened to that handsome face of yours" The demon called him pretty. That was one for the books. And just as he saw him, he left. Elias was not going to follow him this time. The hunter turned around and headed in the other direction. Crossing through a park, he saw a couple of demons gathered around. He was going to turn around and walked away because he wasn't powerful enough to take them all on, but they spotted him. "Hey hunter! Come to play!" They called out. Elias cursed to himself. Immediately he drew his weapon on the demons that were surrounding him. Elie was not going to be pleased. Especially because she had told him to be careful.

Timothy sipped from his water bottle, feeling the beat of the music. He had no idea what song it was, but he didn't care. He just liked the way it felt. He waved hello to people that he knew and turned down those who asked him to dance. He had no idea what was being played so his dancing was always off. It was better just not to look like a fool. He finished his water and tossed the bottle out. He checked his phone decided how much longer he could stay without feeling the need to skip school from exhaustion. It was then he felt someone tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see Elie waving at him. Timothy smiled. She was one of the few friends he hand that understood that he couldn't always read lips. On top of that she even knew sign language. Easier communication. Hey Elie. How have you been? He signed, kind of slow. He would have signed faster, but he didn't know if there was something else around that could have distracted her. He would sign faster later.

Mathias didn't understand why Verena wouldn't just let him sleep. He was only about twenty percent awake anyway. She mentioned his smelling of alcohol and he groaned. "I know". Unlike usual, Mathias hadn't drank that much though it probably looked and smelled like he had. If he remebered correctly, which wasn't as hard to do now without the headache bothering him, one of the guys in the pack had gotten so drunk that he needed to be carried, used Mathias for a piggy back ride and spilled beer all over both of them in the process. Matt's muscles were sore from having to wrestle with a drunk man, as well as from the hangover. He let out a soft huff and slowly opened his eyes again. Surprisingly they weren't blood shot, but his vision was a tad blury. He could make out a glass of water being handed to him and he sighed, slowly pushing himself up into a sitting position and taking the water. He handed the cup back to Verena and stretched his arms. "I guess I should shower huh?" he said innocently, inserting a crooked little smile.

Jakub had continued walking, creating distance between himself and the hunter just to be safe, but for some unknown reason the hunter's face remained edged into his memory. Jakub couldn't tell if it was because he was attractive time or because his face was so familiar. Jakub thought long and hard about where he could have met this man before but nothing came to mind. Clearly he wasn't one of the hunters that had tried to arrest him before, considering the man didn't even know who Jakub was. They might have passed each other on the street but the way Jakub could picture that face in his mind assured him that it was a little more than that. Maybe next time they saw one another he'd figure it out. For now be disagreed the topic all together, forcing the hunter out of his mind and continued on his way. He didn't get very far before hearing a mixture of screeching and crying out in pain. It was somewhere near by and it sounded like a demon had found a human to play with. Jakub rolled his eyes, remembering when he was that naive and careless and headed in that direction. He didn't plan on involving himself in the fight or anything of the sort, he was just curious as usual.

When Timothy greeted her happily Eliana smiled. She hadn't seen her friend in several days and for some reason just looking at his face made her feel a bit more relaxed. "I'm good! So glad I found you" she said as she signed it at the same time. She covered her ears a bit when the music picked up and made an uncomfortable face. Timothy wasn't bothered by the loudness, of course, so she attempted to ignore it so she could continue talking to him. "I haven't seen you lately, what have you been up to?" she continued to say and sign. Though she could speak sign language, she wasn't an expert, not like Tim. She forgot and skipped over words frequently, specially when she attempted to sign quickly. Now she was signing a little slower. She wanted to make sure she got every word correctly. She hadn't been able to talk to Tim in too long and she didn't want either of them to miss anything.

Verena watched her groggy boyfriend officially wake up. He took the glass of water and sipped it slowly. The demon ran her fingers through her hair, looking over him. Although he smelled like alcohol it didn't seemed he had had that much. His eyes weren't read and he was able to register what was going on around him. The pack didn't completely mess him up so she wasn't upset with them. There were times where waking him up was almost impossible. The demon spends those days with Jakub. It was just better. The smell of alcohol was just too overwhelming for her. Verena took the cup back and finished the rest of the water before setting the cup back down on the table. "I guess I should shower huh?" she found her boyfriends eyes and couldn't help but smile. "Yes you should." She said, giggling a bit. If Vera didn't love him so much, she would have been a little bit more sarcastic with her statement. But he was her wolf. Her love. He was just having fun with his friends and they just left her to deal with the aftermath. "I will be here for you when you get back." She reassured him.

Elias was trying to decide whether or not he should attempt to call back up. He didn't want to drag any more hunters in a dangerous situation. Quickly evaluating the situation he figured he could take them all if he worked quickly. Five of them and one of him. Not the best of odds, but the hunter had a chance. The first demon that took a step closer to him had a bullet to the forehead. He disappeared and the others weren't very happy. Four left. The demon came charging at him and he dodged all of them. Eli took hold of one demon and punched it hard in the face. As it was trying to recover, he roundhouse kicked it into another on coming demon. Those two dropped to the ground and one was running up behind him. Eli turned and pulled the trigger once more. Two down. Three to go. The unharmed demon came running at him, throwing his fists left and right. So far Elias was doing a fine job dodging the blows, making sure that he didn't get hurt. When one of the demons off the ground came charging at him behind, Elias rolled out of the way forcing the demon to hit the unaware monster. Elias pulled the trigger on the demon on the ground. Three down. Two to go. But these two weren't going to let the hunter get to them so easily. One appeared before him and knocked the gun out of his hands. The second demon appeared before the hunter as well and punched him hard in the stomach. The other dragged his claws across his cheek. Elias let out a scream. He was being ganged up on. The hunter needed his weapon. He swept his legs underneath both demons causing them to fall. Once they were down, he went after the weapon. Taking hold of the gun one of the demons came and dragged their claws down his back forcing out another scream.

It was nice to see Eliana. It had been a while since he had last seen her. Both of them had been busy and don't exactly run in the same circles. It was a coincidence they shared a mutual friend at this party. He noticed that she was signing rather slow. It must have been a while since she has last had to use it. Timothy picked up her facial expression with her signing. The music must have been really loud. All Tim could feel was the bass, which wasn't a bother. But it might be too much for Elie. She was playing it off as if it wasn't all that bad. I've been busy with school. He signed while shrugging his shoulders. School was taking up a lot of his time. Between translators, crappy notes, and homework he was always busy. It was a miracle he even had time for this. Timothy gave a quick look around. If the music bothers you we can go out in the back. He signed, still signing slow. Her sign language was rusty so he was making sure she understood all the words.

Verena didn't seem to be very mad at him, so Mathias was relieved. His smile grew a little bigger and he quickly leaned in to give her a peck on the cheek. He most likely tasted like alcohol so he opted to spare her of having to taste it too. He slowly pushed himself up off the bed to avoid getting dizzy and stretched. His subtle muscles became a bit more noticeable as he stretched his hands over his head with a yawn. After glancing at the clock he couldn't help but scold himself. He was just barely getting up and it was almost time to go to bed. At least he could get cleaned up and have some of his girlfriend's delicious cooking. That was all the motivation he needed. "I'll be back!" he said with a light smile before grabbing the nearest towel and heaving into the bathroom.

His shower took a little longer than he had meant it to. The hot water just felt so nice and relaxing, mixed with the smell of the soap. It made him want to curl up and go to sleep right then and there. Eventually he had to force himself to turn off the water and get out. He didn't bother grabbing any clothes earlier so he quickly dried his hair and body with the towel and wrapped it around his waist and walked out into the bedroom.

The screams of pain were becoming louder, just as the screeching was. Some demons just didn’t know how to do the job. Idiots, all of them. As he stepped out of the alley, he immediately spotted the scene going on just a few feet in front of him. He took a second to take everything in and realized three of the demons were already down. By the looks of it, it was at the hands of gold bullets which could only mean one thing. The human being tortured wasn’t a simple human, but a hunter. Jakub recognized the looks on the other demon's faces. It was the same look he got when he craved to kill. Jakub stepped closer without making a sound and looked over the hunter to analyze the damage. It didn’t take him long to realize the hunter was the same cute face he had seen earlier. Jakub rolled his eyes at the demons’ brutality and stepped in between them and the hunter just before they could strike again. ”Go home” the blue eyed demon said simply, letting go of the other demon’s hand. The two looked at Jakub with initial shock, as if they couldn’t believe he was there. ”W-what are you doing here?” one of them stammered while the other’s face eased into a glare. ”keeping you from making a stupid mistake” Jakub replied, to which the others didn’t seem to like very much. ”You’re one to talk” one of them spat while the other remained silent. They didn’t seem to have any intentions of backing down and the hunter seemed to be in a good deal of pain. It was looking like Jakub would have to do what he had been trying to avoid; fight.

Eliana managed to ignore the loud music and focus long enough to watch Timothy signed about how school had been keeping him busy. Elie rolled her eyes with a slight smile. ”I don’t know how you and Eli can focus on school so much” she signed. She had never been very studious. She was only going to college because Izzy had given her a lecture about how important it was to have a good degree and a good job. Demon hunting didn’t exactly pay much. It was extremely difficult to balance that and school most of the time though, and Elie loved hunting so she often pushed school aside. Eli however, spent the majority of his free time reading or doing school work and somehow still had time to do his demon hunting activities. How he managed to do so was beyond Elie’s comprehension. She looked back up at Tim to see him suggesting that they step outside to talk. Elie immediately liked the idea, but they were at a party and she didn't want to take that away from him. She hesitated a bit before answering. ”I would love to talk but you’ll miss the party” she paused for a moment to look around before continuing. ”I’m not as interesting” she smiled softly as she signed this. She always loved talking to Tim, but she didn’t know if he felt the same. He had come for the party, not for her.

Verena ran her fingers through her hair when Mathias got up to go and shower. When the door shut, she laid back down on the bed. Although she had told her boyfriend she would be laying here when he got back, she wanted to make him dinner. She doesn't think that the pack fed him anything but alcohol. And even if he had eaten, it would have been completely digested. Wolves at a lot so whatever she made would be devoured whether he ate or not. Glancing over at the bathroom door, she decided to make him food. The demon got up and left the bedroom, not bothering to cover up her undergarments. She dug around in the fridge and saw some raw meat. She was going to fry that. Turning on the oven, she poured oil into a frying pan and waited for it to heat up. Going back to the refrigerator, she pulled out some vegetables and heat up macaroni and cheese. Though she could make the mac and cheese from scratch, she wouldn't have time with her boyfriend only in the shower for a couple more moments. Pulling off the side cover, she put the cheesy delicacy in the oven to heat up. The vegetables she dumped into a bowl and threw in the microwave. When the oil was heated up, she put the raw chicken into the frying pan. That was when she heard the shower go off. Her boyfriend was done and dinner wasn't ready. Before she could hear him call out to her, she called out to him. "I'm making you dinner!".

Despite Elias' condition he was way more concerned about what Eliana was going to think when she saw him. She had told him to be careful. He agreed and here was in a clearly not careful situation. He practically lied to his twin about being careful. ”Go home” The hunter recognized that voice. It was the voice of the demon from early. The one with blue eyes. Eli was wondering what he was doing here. And then he wondered why he was coming to save him. Nothing made sense at the moment, but Eli knew one thing. The dangerous demons were distracted. The hunter reached for his gun, biting his lip to keep from screaming out in pain, and turned to face the three demons. Holding out the weapon he shot one, barely missing the blue eyed demon. Elias figured that demon would say something about nearly being killed, but it didn't matter to him. The other demon hissed and extended its claws. Eli pulled the trigger again and nothing happened. He was out of bullets and two demons were close by. This couldn't end well.

Image

Timothy silently laughed at Elie's comment on his academic focus. Tim was just trying to keep himself from getting kicked out and having to live as a death man without a degree. Eli was a special kind of creature. Always reading. Always learning. Never one complaint about school. Timothy has no idea how that is possible. But his twin was the opposite so the split makes sense. Eliana complained about the work and couldn't focus in class. Tim notices when she goes off into some kind of daydream. It's rather adorable. Then Elie signed that she would like to talk to him, but he would take her away from the party. Then she signed that she wasn't interesting. Timothy thought that was nonsense. He enjoyed communicating with Elie in school and out of school. Besides Timothy gets invited to all kinds of parties. There was no need to complain about one. Eliana. You are the only person in this party that came up to me. I think you deserve some one on one time./ Timothy signed with a smile. And I like talking to you. We don't talk often enough. He added, gesturing towards the back exit to continued the conversation.

As soon as Mathias stepped out of the bathroom he smelled food. He smiled softly and was about to speak up but Verena beat him to it. So she was cooking after all. His stomach grumbled at the thought alone. Went to his closet and finished drying then skipped on a pair of sweatpants and nothing more. He didn't feel like getting dressed, but he couldn't just walk around butt naked. Well, he could hut that might be dangerous. And it wasn't his style to do that. He made his way into the kitchen and walked in with a smile. Aside from a nice meal he had a nice view. "Smell good" he smiled, his voice still a bit raspy from having just woken up. He sat on the counter across the stove and watched quietly as Verena continued to cook.

Jakub wasn't planning on killing anything or anyone, not even demons, nor did he expect to be almost hit by a bullet. He turned around to look at the hunter who had just fired the gun hut it was obvious he was in pain. Judging by how close Jake was to him, he assumed the hunter had actually meant to hit the other demon. If he had wanted to hit Jakub he would have, no matter how horrible his aim. The man tried shooting again but he appeared to be running on empty. If Jakub were any it her demon, the poor hunter would be dead meat. Luckily Jakub wasn't just any demon. As the other came charging toward Jake and the hunter, Jakub's nails quickly transformed into claws that pierced through the incoming demon's chest. They didn't go in that deeply, in fact to anyone else that strike would have looked unexffecrive. That was the beauty of Jake's ability. The blue eyed demon waited patiently as the other smirked, seemingly fooled into thinking he was alright. It didn't last long. Within a couple of second he began to claw at his own skin and threw himself on the floor, as if he were on fire. Jakub watched with a straight face as the demon struggled to stay alive but quickly turned into dust and dissapeared. He waited a moment before turning to the hunter. Either he wants that enjured or he was attempting to play it off. Jakub decided to find out. He held out a hand for the man as if he didn't think he was hurt and waited to see his reaction.

Eliana half thought Timothy would choose to stay inside but he didn't. He insisted they go outside to talk. Eventually Eliana gave up and put her hands up in defeat to show him. "Okay, okay" she signed with a smile. After Tim got ro his feet Eliana followed him out into the back porch. It was nice and quiet and didn't seem like anyone wanted to come out and join them. That was more than okay with her. She didn't exactly feel like dealing with people tonight. It was different with Timothy though, he was much easier to handle. Eliana didn't understand it, but she felt relaxed when she was around him, yet nervous at the same time. It was the oddest feeling. "This is much better" she signed as they took a seat in the cushioned porch swing. It felt nice out and despite all the lights you could see a couple of stars. She looked up at the sky, hoping wherever he was, that her brother was safe.

Verena pulled the macaroni and cheese out of the over and left it on the far side of the stovetop to cool off a bit. She took the vegetables out of the microwave and seasoned them. "Smell good" The demon looked over at her shirtless boyfriend and smiled a tad. How they both enjoyed walking on a dangerous line. At she knows what she wants for dessert. "Thank you." she said, gong back to her cooking. Mathias stayed quiet which was good. It allowed her to focus on the chicken. Using tongs, she pulled one out to make sure both sides were evenly fried. They were. Dinner was ready. Turning off the oven and the stove, she reached up and grabbed plates for them. First she piled the wolf's plate with chicken, mac and cheese, and vegetables. Walking over to where he was sitting on the counter top she handed it to him. "I made enough for seconds whenever you want it." She said, going back to put food on her plate. She didn't get as much food as she gave Mathias, but it was still a lot for her. Not bothering to sit at the table, she leaned against the counter and started eating. She was balancing the plate with her right hand and forking food into her mouth with her left.

For a brief moment the thought of death crossed his mind. Two unharmed demons. One injured hunter. No bullets. The odds were against him and there wasn't much he could do about that. Although he did try to crawl away, he gave up due to the pain. He wasn't getting away so easily. That was when the blue eyed demon attacked his own. Stabbing it in the chest. For a moment it seemed that the blue eyed demon hadn't done anything, but the other demon dropped to the ground. Screaming in agony as it was scrambling to stay alive. It was a sight to see, but Elias was in too much pain to be amazed by his savior. Not when his savior was still a demon. The blue eyed demon turned and faced the emotionless hunter. Elias just looked up at him waiting for him to do something. He wasn't expecting the demon to reach his hand out for him. Eli stared at his hand for a moment before attempting to take it. When he tried to pull himself up, he winced in pain and just sat back down. Elias was not moving. At least not on his own. He had half a mind to call Elie, but then he changed his mind.

Image

Finally Eliana caved and followed him outside to the back. It was much more peaceful out here than it was when they were in the party. He ran his fingers through his hair and brought his attention back to Eli to make sure he wasn't missing anything she was signing. She commented on how nice it was on the deck and he just nodded. Timothy still felt some vibrations from the music being played inside, so he wasn't missing much. He was glad that his friend was feeling better about being out here than with the crowds of people. Times like these make me miss home. He signed a bit faster than he had meant too. Tim wasn't even sure that Elie had been paying attention. Back home he got to see way more stars and he was surrounded by people that also knew how to sign. It was just something he doesn't get here. Well except when he was with a translator or with Elie. They always signed with him. We should go hiking one day to look for more stars he suggested randomly.

Verena wasn't one to brag or toot her own horn, but her cooking was amazing. Even if two thirds of the things on her plate was just heat up. It was like she had some special flavoring added to the meals just by touching it. She took a bite of the macaroni and cheese when her boyfriend suggested she sat next to him. Claiming that he was lonely. The demon giggled and pushed off the counter, making her way over to him. Verena plopped down right next to him and then took another bite of her food. "Better?" she asked teasingly. The closer she was to her boyfriend the more she wanted to touch him and disregard the meal. It was a miracle the two had even managed to be good for this long. Vera was thinking that she should have put on some clothes. Or at least a shirt. But she actually enjoys walking around like this. Even when Jakub is around, she is half dressed. It's the most comfortable way to lounge.

Image

Elias was expecting the blue eyed demon to leave him to deal with his wounds. The hunter had a plan for when he left. Call anyone but Elie. That ways she wouldn't rant at him about not being careful. There was a way Elias could have gotten out of this situation and leave his twin in the dark. What he wasn't prepared for was the blue eyed demon offering his assistance. He crouched down and told the hunter to climb on. The hunter raised an eyebrow. A piggyback ride. The demon was going to give him a piggy back into the unknown where he would most likely be unable to reach back up. The demon sounded genuine and he did save his life. If Elias wasn't out of bullets he wouldn't have hesitated as much as he was at this current moment. Letting out a sigh, he shifted slowly onto the demon's back. His head dropped on the blue eyed demons shoulder and he kept quiet. Neither thanking him or complaining about this situation. Silence. It was what he was best at. Wherever the blue eyed demon was taking him it couldn't have been worse than being left until back up showed up.

Image

Timothy let out another silent laugh. He could imagine Elie having a hard time becoming one with nature and it was making him laugh. He tried not to laugh so hard though. The girl was still his friend and it was rude to laugh at such misfortune. She did agree to attend him on the hike which forced him to smile. That was really sweet. There was some silence before Eliana signed once more asking where home was. Timothy has only ever known Eliana from when he got to New York. He only came up here for school. Full Ride. It was the best option. A town in the middle of Tennessee Timothy spelled out the state name instead of using the sign short hand for it. Elie still wasn't a sign expert. It was always quiet. And the stars were always full and bright Timothy added, reminiscing a little. He wasn't home sick. He loved New York and all the craziness that came with it. He just missed the stars and his family. I want to visit during the next break.

With the exception of a few dropped bricks, the work for the day was going exceptionally well. Of course construction to a werewolf was like a walk in the park. The pack worked together like a well-oiled machine which made the work load that much lighter. They had their own system for getting things done and it didn’t fail, not to mention their job was what paid the bills. The fact that they could have fun while working was just the icing on the cake. Afternoon was starting to roll around and they were just about done. Everything looked promising, except the weather. In the last hour several gray clouds had gathered above them. If they didn’t hurry it was very likely that they wouldn’t finish. ”Pick up the pace boys” their leader ordered, causing a couple of slackers to scramble to their feet. Mathias had been working slow but at a steady rhythm. This usually helped him conserve his energy for longer. Just a few more bricks and he’d get to go home to Verena.

AFter several long hours of sketching and painting, the colors were all starting to blend together. Jakub rubbed his eyes with the back of his hands and blinked a few times, attempting to refocus on the work in front of him but it just wasn’t happening. His mind was elsewhere today. Luckily the customer that had ordered that painting wasn’t expecting to receive it for another few days, not to mention she was right there in Brooklyn. It would be fairly easy to get it to her. Giving up for the time being he set the paint brushes and colors aside and wiped off his hands before running his fingers through his messy black hair. He needed a physical and mental break. Deciding to leave the painting for the next day he began stripping on his way to the restroom, eventually making it there in nothing but his underwear and turned on the water as hot as it could go. It wasn’t of any surprise that the long hot shower helped a good amount. He began to pick up his clothes on the way out, headed for his bedroom, but a knock on the door stopped him. One of his eyebrows rose up to his hairline as he set the clothes aside, not bothering to put any on. The only ones that usually visited were Verena and Mathias and Mathias was most likely working now. Vera was the one that never had a fixed schedule so he assumed it was her. Walking over to the door with just the towel wrapped around his hips, he opened it and greeted the visitor with a light smile.

ELiana was attempting to hurry to make it back to her brother. They always walked home together and she wasn’t particularly fond of waiting for her, but her classes had taken a little longer than expected. EVentually she broke free and went straight to their usual meeting place. She spotted him from a few feet away and gave a little wave. SHe was going to add a greeting, but as she walked up she felt her phone buzz in the back pocket of her jeans. She immediately pulled it out, expecting it to be Isabelle, but was completely off. She read over Timothy’s message with a light smile, which she managed to keep under control as she looked up at her brother. ”Actually, i’ll meet you at home later. I forgot i had made a study date with a friend” she explained. She didn’t normally lie to her brother, but she somehow didn’t know how to tell him that Tim had just invited her for lunch. She didn’t normally go out to lunch with guys, not because they didn’t ask her, but because she usually didn’t find them interesting. She would do it just for fun, but she didn’t want the guys getting the wrong idea. Timothy on the other hand always managed to capture her interest. After waving goodbye to her brother she typed out a quick reply.
[To Tim]
[MSG: See you in a bit]

she hit send and turned in the direction of the sandwich shop. Of course she was hungry as well, it wasn’t just got Timothy that she was going. That’s what she told herself, anyway.

After what seemed like an infinite amount of hours, the pack finally finished their work for the day. Mathias let out a sigh of relief and leaned against the wall. Some of the other boys were gathering their things and getting ready to go out to eat, of course Mathias was invited, but all he really wanted to do was go home. Not only because he wanted to see Vera, though that was his main reason, but because he was absolutely exhausted. ”You coming Mattie?” one of the younger members asked, earning accusing looks from some of the others. {b]”Of course he’s not, he’s going to run back to his girlfriend like a love sick puppy” one of the others responded for him. Mathias simply laughed it off, but the comment itself didn’t sit right with him. Mathias ran a hand through his hair, giving his plans a second thought, then looked at the young boy who had asked the question. ”Of course i’m going” he stated, ruffling the other’s hair just a bit. He needed quality time with the pack after all, and Vera would surely understand that. Their boss smiled a bit and patted Matt’s back as they began to head towards their perspective cars.

To say that Jakub was surprised by who was standing at his door was an understatement. Both of his eyebrows shot up into his hairline and his smile almost completely disappeared as the hunter just stood there, staring at him. ”I think I left my gun here." the man quickly explained and Jakub’s shoulders relaxed a bit. So he wasn’t there to arrest him after all. Or rather, not yet. He didn’t know what the man would do after finding his gun. With an understanding nod, Jakub stepped to the side to allow the very handsome and seemingly confused hunter inside his home for the second time in two days. After he walked in Jake shut the door but didn’t lock it. He didn’t want to give the man the wrong impression. The blue eyed creature had no intention of hurting him. ”Are you sure you left it here?” Jakub asked, not remembering seeing any gun inside his house. Then again he wasn’t looking. It could be in a very obvious place and he just overlooked it. Before the hunter even answered the question, Jakub began to meticulously search his apartment. He didn’t need to know what the gun actually looked like. It would be the only demon hunting weapon in the house. SHould be fairly easy to spot.

As soon as Eliana and Timothy made eye contact, Tim began to sign away. Eli smiled a little as she approached him and took a seat. ”Thank you for inviting me” she responded. Truthfully she wasn’t all that hungry after all, but it would look odd if she came to lunch with him and didn’t eat anything, so she took one of the small menus placed on the table and began to scan through the options. In all of her time living in the city and going to the university she had never thought to come here for lunch. Eliana usually gravitated towards places that were quiet, private and drenched in the smell of coffee. This was a bit unusual for her, but it was always fun to try new things. ”What do you recommend?” she signed, glancing at the menu before looking up at him. There were way too many options and she didn’t want to pick the wrong thing.

After everyone was in their cars, the pack took off towards the downtown. There were several places where they could eat and relax there. It wasn’t the time of day to get drunk yet, so Matt didn’t worry about where they were going so long as they got decent food and relaxation. The alpha was at the front of the line of cars and he pulled up into a somewhat empty parking lot. Mathias looked around at the large red building. He had seen this many times before, but if he remembered correctly, it wasn’t a restaurant. Or any kind of food establishment really. It was some kind of insurance agency. Why on earth had they stopped here? Mathias thought maybe the boss had taken a wrong turn but the thought was completely discarded when the man parked and get out of the car. A few others got out as well while others looked just as confused as Mathias felt. Regardless, they all eventually got out of their cars and huddled up. ”Um, boss, I don’t think Statefarm sells steaks” he commented cluelessly and the man simply chuckled. ”Just trust me and follow” he said before turning and walking around to the back of the building. Towards one of the corners there was a black door, which the boss knocked on with an odd rhythm. A small slot at the top opened and a pair of confused eyes scanned the group before closing it again. Seconds later the door was open to a very nice red and white checkered tile floor which led to a red spiraling staircase which seemed to go down forever. If he didn’t trust the boss with his life, Mathias would have been out of there already.

Jakub and the hunter didn’’t search too long before the hunter gave up. Jakub guessed he wouldn’t find the weapon here. Otherwise the demon would have already seen it. ”Park” the man stated plainly and Jakub tilted his head in confusion. He wanted to go to the park? It took a few more seconds for the demon to remember what had happened at the park and figured he thought he might have left the weapon there. If that were the case, Jake doubted that it would still be there. Luckily he had run out of bullets, otherwise a very dangerous and armed demon would be roaming around killing other demons at the moment. The hunter headed to the door and Jake cocked his eyebrow just a bit. ”You mean you plan on going to the same park where you were attacked and almost killed, unarmed?” he rephrased to make sure he was understanding the hunter correctly. That had to be it because he seemed to be determined to go. Jakub sighed and ran a hand through his hair. {color=magenta]”You’re either overconfident or just extremely stupid” he said, not entirely convinced this hunter was either of the two, but going on his own was a stupid and dangerous move. Before the human could respond, or leave for that matter, Jake rushed to his bedroom using his supernatural speed and threw on some clothes before coming back out to the living room and grabbing his keys, catching the hunter just in time to follow him out and lock the door. ”Come on kid”. He quickly headed down the steps and to his car, unlocking the doors and opening the passenger’s side for him. Jake wasn’t going to force him to get in, but considering he wanted to find the gun as soon as possible, he guessed this would be better than walking everywhere.

Eliana looked up just in time to catch Tim’s answer. Find the best vegetable combination? That would be a problem considering Elie wasn’t very fond of vegetables. She scanned the menu for the sandwich with the least amount of vegetables in it and decided it sounded pretty good. ”This sounds like my kind of sandwich” she signed before pointing to the selection that had rye, black forest ham, swiss cheese and a little bit of lettuce and tomatoes. Just a couple of the very small amount of vegetables that Elie liked. She wasn’t very big on sandwiches in the first place. Next she looked at the drinks. There was no coffee, which she imagined, but there were several flavors of tea. Her second favorite drink. She looked over the options and immediately stopped when she got to the peach iced tea. For some reason that flavor always managed to relax her. Now her mind was made up and she looked at Tim for what to do next. She wasn’t sure how the whole ordering process worked here, so she waited until he did it to avoid embarrassing herself.
