Name: Stacey Alannis Darrell

Nickname: Stace

Age: 16

Grade: Grade 10

Friend: Girl 9

Enemy: Morgana Roe

Sexuality: Straight/Heterosexual

Why Did You Decide To Go To The Sleepover: Stace was kind of dragged along by her friend, actually... But it doesn't matter, she's already here, she's going to stay.

Personality: The cry-baby, there's always one to let their emotions fly easily and this is her, she just recently had a breakup and won't stop crying

Stace is very emotional, and usually takes the news hard. She can't take rejection easily, yet tries time and again to be accepted. All she really wants is to have friends she can call her own; to be with people who accept and love her. She'll do anything for those that she loves.

However, when she isn't overreacting, Stace is very sweet and kind to others. She doesn't really understand cruelty, you see. She doesn't understand why people push her away time and again, even when she's tried so hard to be nice. Show her a little kindness, and she'll be your friend for life. When she's being sweet, it's really hard to resist her. Stace loves animals, and has all sorts of little animals which she rescued living in her house, to the irritation of her mother.

Does Stace seem a little distant recently? That's because she's just gone through a hard breakup (see History). Don't mention her ex around her, it'll just set her off again.

History: Stace grew up with a loving mother, Cecilia, and an older sister, Cara. She never knew her father, as he walked out on her mother when she was pregnant with Stace. Her mother was often away at work, but tried hard to spend time with her daughters and make them feel loved. Being the younger child, she received slightly more attention from her mother than Cara did. Cara wasn't pleased. She would bully Stace into doing her chores when their mother wasn't looking, and made Stace's life miserable. When she sought refuge from her mother, however, her mother refused to believe that Cara was mean to Stace as Cara was an angel around their mother.

As a result, Stace grew up thinking that serving others was only right, and that she should do whatever others wanted. She was pushed around by the kids at her kindergarten and middle school, and yet she desperately tried to seek acceptance again and again, with the result that if people only either bullied her or pitied her.

However, when she entered high school, Stace had learned enough from her experience to resist, even if only a little bit. Still, it was enough to deter would-be bullies that sensed someone weaker than them. Luckily for Stace, she found a friend in Girl 9, who then introduced her to the other girls. Stace was thrilled, overjoyed to finally have people who she could call friends.

Shortly after Stace became friends with Girl 9, one of the hottest boys her class (and someone who she liked to talk about to Girl 9), Stanley, started going out with her. At this point, Stace was practically over the moon. However, she recently discovered that Stanley had asked her out only on a dare. Moreover, he wasn't even sorry that he had done it, simply casting her aside after adding her as another mark to 'Girls Who Have Fallen For Stanley Winslow'. Stace was devastated as he was the first who had actually asked her out. Though she tried to pull herself together, sometimes she just dissolves into tears at the mention of Stanley.

I leaned back, not really listening to the teacher. It wasn't that I didn't usually listen in class - I was just somewhere else today. In my mind, I mean. For some reason, I couldn't stop thinking about Stanley, my ex. I could usually manage to stop thinking about him in class, even though he sat a few seats in front of me. But for some reason today, he kept worming his way into my thoughts, even when I tried to concentrate on my work.

I couldn't take it anymore. I put my head down on the table, taking small breaths and trying to push his face out of my head. Go away, go away, I thought over and over, even if only to think about something else.

"Miss Darrell, are you okay?" My head snapped up at the mention of my name. The class was dead quiet, and everyone, including the teacher, was staring at me. Well, everyone except Stanley, that is. He was smiling at another girl sitting at the corner of the room, that dazzling smile with his blue eyes sparkling...

Stop it, Stace, I told myself sternly. Forcing a smile, I nodded at the teacher. "Yes, Miss."

She frowned at me. "You look a little pale. Why don't you go early for lunch? If you feel better later you can come back to class." At that moment, I really loved her with all of my heart. "Yes, Miss. Thank you, Miss," I replied. Quickly, I got up and left the classroom, rushing to the cafeteria.

Somehow, I didn't feel like sitting at our usual spot today. I took a table a couple of metres away and sat down, leaning my forehead against the cool wood.

I had just taken a seat at the table, when I'd seen Stacey. I was about to spread my enjoyable news to all the girls when I just happened to glance over my shoulder. I was unpacking my bag to eat my lunch. A simple cheese sandwich. Even though, it was simple, I still loved the taste of it. I was about to take a bite into the bread when Stacey popped into my view.

She looked as though she'd been there since before the lunch break. I kept glancing over my shoulder feeling sorry for her. Although none of the other girls seemed to take notice. But I felt some pain inside of me. Looks like, just because some peoples lives were up-right and happy at the moment, not everyone else was and here was just an example. Poor Stace.

She been through a lot lately with her ex. So that was probably what it was. I wasn't her best friend-but I felt like I should give her some comfort. So secretively I sneaked away from the others to see how she was coping.

"Hey Stace. What's wrong?" Simple is always the best way to apporach someone with a problem. Little bit by little bit counts-to get them talking and the information flowing out of their mouth. Like they could trust you. And really feel as though you xcould be there for them. And besides...this was not a good start to the sleepover tonight. I wanted everyone to be happy. So I tried to make a joke but it failed. "So, I guess you're single and ready to mingle, now, right?" I gave a giggle hoping it would do the same trick on her.

"Hey Stace. What's wrong?" An unexpected voice made me jump a little. I turned to see Tyler-Rose, or Charlotte as she liked to be called, standing beside me. She smiled at me. "So, I guess you're single and ready to mingle, now, right?" she asked, before giggling a little.

I smiled a little. It wasn't really forced, as I was glad to have friends that cared about me, but I couldn't really smile because I still felt terrible anyway. "Yeah, sure..." I trailed off, adding under my breath, "I guess."

At this moment, I saw the expression on her face. Somehow, it was hopeful, yet worried at the same time, and I suddenly felt horrid and despicable for making her feel like this. So I smiled a little wider, and told her, "Thanks for asking, but I'm fine. Totally fine."

I only hoped that she couldn't see that only half of what I'd said was true.

I nodded. I wasn't sure whether Stace was telling the truth. She had this way of not letting her emotions fly out, a bit like me. I knew what she was like, but she looked as though this information that was given was fake, but trying to be covered up. I didn't want to argue with a friend, escpecially the day of the party, too. So, I just agreed.

"So, Stace, come back to the table with the others. I've got some news to tell you all. And I also have to discuss the sleepover with the girls...besides you don't want to miss out on the movies and...maybe even some...games tonight, right?"

I was hoping that she'd accept the "re-offer" again. I wasn't going to let her just stay here and have a cry on her own. If she was going to cry, it would be with us. And we also had to talk about what was going to happen tonight, organize a few things to do...in preparation of tonight. So, I pulled at her arm and yanked her toward the others.

"Come on, you." I said, grinning. I knew she'd never fight with me now. She had to come.

I spoke to all the other girls about what the teacher had given me for results and the comments. They looked joyed-if they weren't. Stacey looked okay now. I think, I'm not quite good at reading others emotions. Like I said before, she's like me-so I dunno.

I had taken a seat at the end of the table, next to Stacey. But the table seemed empty-normally ten of us sat here. Now, however, there only seemed to be (nine) of us. I kind of focused on the girls at the table, trying to work out who exactly was missing. Then I realized all about Peyton and her classes. She had fencing practice now. I hoped she was still going to be able to make it to the party and not with that gear.

Just then, thinking about Peyton's fencing, her phone began ringing. She scrambled through her bag and found her phone down the bottom of her bag, and answered it right on the last ring.

"Hello?"

I heard Peyton crack up laughing before asking a question, "Okay so what horrible gut wrenching torture do you all have planned already?" I couldn't help but laugh at this comment. She had sounded as though this were not her dream holiday at all. As if it were some challenge she had to conquer. I had raised my voice as I could tell all the eyes were on me from the other girls and I became proper and offical, like a politician and said, "Oh, I'm sure we'll have a great time. I hope you guys like horror movies and scary stories and what about a game of Truth Or Dare? I'm sure that will be fun, what do you all think?"
