John slowly made his way out of his dorm, and down a secluded hallway towards the foyer. He was wishing the day away, so he could get some information from Duncan as to what exactly John was looking at seeing here. He opened the ancient journal he had up, and continued reading. Succubus, Vampires, Werewolves, Shifters, Skinwalkers. That was the species tally that he'd read so far, just skimming through the pages. The ledger seemed like a contemplation of anything of concrete evidence from any point in history, and he was only really about 6 pages in. Succubi seemed to be the subject of the page he was reading. They were integral parts of the assassinations of several Syrian ambassadors

He looked up just before it was too late, and quietly avoided walking into a girl that was in front of him. He could sense something off about her, something that didn't seem quite right. He was unconcerned that she could pose any real threat to him, but still, something about her wasn't right. "Hey" John said, doing his best at sounding nice.

"Oh! Hello." Elizabeth said, "Who might you be?". She seemed worried, and John couldn't figure out why. She looked human, but there was something in her eyes, something that said she's been alive a lot longer than him. Something, that didn't seem human.
This didn't surprise John as much as it had the first time.

"Names John. Yours?" He said, without a hint of emotion. "Damn, that came out wrong" John thought to himself, he was trying to avoid sounding like a robot, but wasn't having much success. It didn't help that she seemed scared of him as it was, he was doing his best not to instill fear in people, but what could he do? Assassins scare people, it's been that way since, well, since assassins were in existence, since they began fighting the crusaders. And it had went on in history, revolutions, high profile killings, everywhere in the world. The world was in their palm, and they just handed it back to the people, like it was worthless to them.

He still wasn't sure to make of her, so he continued down the hallway, acquiring information from her via meaningless small talk. She was French, he could tell that much fairly easily. other than that, there wasn't much. He could tell she'd lost some people by the way she spoke of family, and friends.

John wondered what it would be like, to be raised in a home, with parents. "Must be nice, to grow up like that" He thought to himself, reminiscing on his upbringing. The puzzles, the training, the classes, and then, when he became of age, the killing. Death surrounded John, but he didn't mind, it wasn't something he lusted for, it was something that was necessary from time to time. It was something that everyone avoided, but it was something that was necessary to keep the peace that had befell most of the earth. He would've loved to grow up like that, but then again, freedom was more important than John living a pure, easy, apple-pie eating life. No, that wasn't an option, and it would never be an option. John's destiny was, for the most part, set. He would live his life serving the greater good, making a real difference in the world. And the only one that would really know was his journal, where he wrote everything.

He continued down the hallway with Elizabeth, and gave her a once-over, deciding that she was kinda cute, but wasn't to be trusted, not yet. He said goodbye to her, before heading to the cabins. He would need to prepare the path Duncan would need to follow to find him. He needed to know Duncan could be trusted, and wasn't just going to show up wolfed out and try to rip his throat out.

Duncan Wallace

He was completely and utterly baffled. Duncan had actually been concerned for her and was nothing but sympathetic and she had dared to bare her fangs at him. The next moment she was getting attacked by a random seemingly harmless domestic cat. Where the cat came from he had no idea, but he knew that she was ferried of it. He had watched her go from defensive mode to turning into a dog and fleeing. Get it away from me, was all he heard after she had fled the scene.

Duncan remained on his knee for a bit wondering what the hell had happened when the cat had brushed up against his leg and began to purr. At that he glowered at the cat and growled at it, his eyes beginning to turn dark grey. The poor cat fled just as quickly as the girl had before it.

Finally Duncan decided it was time to get up and go and perhaps check out his living arrangements; although his patience was running thin and he was sorely tempted to just leave this chaotic place and return to Scotland. Here it was something new and crazy every minute of the hour, back home it was clam and there wasn't anyone to be dealt with. He began a slow pace back to he school then, reminiscing about the good old days when he just woke up and herded the sheep then went for a long walk to the nearest tavern about 7 miles away from his house. Ha, the good old days, wasn't that just yesterday?

His eyes began buzzing then. Something was nearby. At first he heard a thud, then a cry from an animal, that's when he smelt the metallic scent, blood. It could only be three things he knew of, another werewolf who needed some fresh meat, a demon who just needed a kill, or a vampire in need for a replenishment. His curiosity was, once again, getting the best of him and he decided to follow the smell and sounds. It didn't take him long to find the lifeless body of a deer on the floor and a young woman a few feet away with a few drops of blood at the corners of her lips.

"Ah lovely, a vampire. I was wondering just when I was going to meet one of you here. I would've thought it sooner rather than later..." he said as he cooly assessed her. She'd just had her meal so she was probably brimming with power at this point, not that he cared much anyway; he had squared off with a vampire or two in the past trying to get some 'fast food' with his sheep. For this reason he wasn't overly fond of vampires. He had yet to meet one worth his good nature.

She was a smart one, she had picked up on his scent just as easily as he had picked up on hers. He should've known, vampires weren't necessarily stupid; they just had some stupid tendencies, like messing with him. They never did learn...

"Yes, you see I am only part vampire." she smiled at him suductively, "I am also a Succubus. However, according to your scent, you are a full blooded wolf." Well that explains the seductive tone of her voice and they way she was standing. He tilted his head then to the side to get a better look of her. She was pretty but by her looks, too young for him.

Arching an eyebrow he said, " Aye, I'm a full blooded werewolf, no mutts in my line of ancestry. I'm actually supposed to be alpha of my pack back home but I am here, to better myself all around."

Crossing his arms across his chest then he said, "so how often do you try to entice men? Do you use it to leer men so that you can attack them for their blood?" He was being crude he knew, but he couldn't help himself. He wanted to learn more about the creatures that were attending the school. After all, that was another reason why he was here.

"So wolf, you act like you don't like vampires much. Had a few run-ins during your lifetime?" At that he barked out a short laugh. "That's an understatement. Your kind don't know when to leave well enough alone." At the reminder of his abhorrence to some vampires he became disgruntled and a bit furious. Taking in a deep breathe, he calmed himself. No need to get upset Duncan, it's just a conversation. At times like this he really hated his genes. Simple talks easily turned into fights, or threw him into flying rages. I was just something he couldn't help.

He started hearing other voices then. They were distant, but unmistakably female. At that, he motioned for hybrid to follow him. As they made their way to the voices he saw two familiar faces. The other hybrid and the... well he didn't know what the other one was but it was the female that had came in when he was talking with John. John, where was he? He decided to make his appearance known then. "Why are we all still in the forest? Is this like some secret getaway now?" he said sauntering in.

As much as he liked wooden areas, he was getting tired of being in here. Honestly he just wanted to get back to the school and see his dorm and dorm mate. It was getting late so naturally he wanted to see who he would soon be sleeping in the same room with. He needed to know if he needed to sleep with one eye open, or could peacefully sleep the night away.
