Introduction
Having a spirit animal had never been as 'beautiful' as people think it is. Those who have a spirit animal view it as a curse. Yes, you can turn into an animal and have 'special' abilities. But that animal chooses who you love, and how you act. You can't chose who you love, and no matter how much you wish you would. The human part of you falls in love, but it's nothing compared to when you find your mate. The there is nothing you can do but be with them, you might just drive yourself insane, trying to avoid it. When you are with your mate, that gaping hole left my your parents that never could love you because of the curse is filled. There is no way you can avoid it. But the humans are revolting, saying that the curse is 'unnatural'. The teachers are humans, and you can't be sure who to trust. To make matters worse, legend says that you are supposed to love the other of your animal (there are two of each animal. EX: one male horse, one female horse. One male spider, one female spider. Ect.) BUT . . . . . . you don't. Once you find your mate, the two souls bind by kissing under a full moon. The males know who their female is, the female doesn't. The male must find a way to woo their females and protect them from the humans- even if they can take care of themselves.

Suki Ryu
Suki huffed as she glared at Thea. 'Thea! You fat horse, stop eating and listen to me!' Thea, seeming mildly offended by what Suki had said, lifted her head out of her hay to give the girl a bored look. Groaning, Suki rolled her eyes. She was well aware of the equestrian teacher tapping her foot, waiting. The teacher had instructed Suki to make the horse kneel, stand on her hind legs, then go into the stall. Suki was expected to this with only speaking to Thea mentally. Puffing up her chest and giving the horse a fierce look she commanded, 'Thea! Kneel, stand, and go to bed!'. Shockingly enough, the horse did as she was told. "See that? You just be firm with her." The instructor told Suki, clearly pleased. "Yeah, yeah. I know." Suki brushed her off, scooping up her bag and turning to leave. She had only been at the school for a week, and apparently when you come you are assigned to an animal. In her case, because she was the horse, she got a laziest, fattest, and most irritating horse around. Really, Thea was only stubborn, -like Suki- but she refused to just say that. Each student was supposed to grow a bond with their animal, but both Thea and Suki were too headstrong to go that far. Sure, they had their adorable moments were they would sit together and Thea would let Suki brush her black and white coat, but other then that they really didn't get along much. Suki was also very empathectic and felt bad that the horse had to spend to much time in it's still, but Thea was too lazy to do anything outside other then eat grass. Glancing up at the sky, she decided that it was about noon. Tonight was a full moon, and she knew what that meant. Her stomach churning, she sat on a bench outside the girls' dorms and held her head in her hands.

Maura Thorn
Maura held a hand out in front of her, allowing Rya to sniff her palm. Glancing over, she saw Suki and Thea having another battle of wills. Maura got along with her wolf, Rya, fairly well. At first she thought Rya would tear her throat out, but they quickly grew accustomed to each other. But Suki was so lucky. She could actually speak to her animal, and Thea would actually understand. With Rya, it was a completely different story. Suddenly Maura was torn away from her thought as she was head-butted by her wolf. "oof!" She huffed as Rya stood over her, one ear up and the other lying flat against his head. "If you want to keep that pretty little head of yours, I would pay attention!" The teacher called, but they both knew Rya would never hurt her. Chuckling, she pushed the black wolf off of her and shot him a look. "I've gotta go, Ry. Don't cause any trouble." She told him as she stepped out of the habitat that he and his sister stayed in. His sister, Mai, was a lot friendlier and sweet but Maura still adored her Rya. She liked the challenge of trying to understand how he thought, and trying to get him to follow her. Sighing, Maura passed Suki and glanced over at the Avery. Whenever she passed the crows, she could feel one of them staring at her. Not in a 'I'm going to peck your eyes out' sort of way, but a softer look. It kind of creeped her out. This was one of those moments were she wished she was a horse, so she could know what the big black bird was thinking.

Loken Dethier
Loken was laying back on a grassy hilltop overseeing the Academy then staring up at the sky with his hands underneath his head with his assigned horse Theodore by his side who was constantly nuzzling his arm now and then for attention. Not now Theo.. can't I relax a bit? he telepathically communicated with the animal. Apparently his horse was stubborn and started chewing on his white polo sleeve. Alright alright! he said to the horse reaching his arm out for the rein and lazily plopping himself on top of the horse. Giddy up! He directed as Theodore started gallopping down the hill towards the academy.
When they arrived he patted the horse as praise and got down, leading Theodore by the reins gently towards the stables. The sound of Theodore's horseshoes against the ground. Clock..clock.
The stableowner didn't seem to be around as Loken called out. "Hello?" with no response. He shrugged walking along guiding Theodore to his proper stable location. Over here buddy. Theodore upon entering his stable seemed happy as he immediately dug his head into piles of hay. While the horse ate, Loken sat on a stool beside him observing. "I thought I just fed you.." he sighed. "You're going to be one fat horse soon you know that" he said softly somewhat concerned before standing up, taking out a newspaper from a wooden shelf in the stables and sitting back in his position near the horse to read it .

Gasping, she shot up and stared down at the lock that was supposed to be on Thea's stall, due to her tendency to come out and steal the other horse's hay. "Gah! Thea!" She squeaked, taking off in the direction of the stables. Panting, she threw the door open and spotted her horse come up behind Loken and start to chew on his hair. "Thea! Je vous laisse seul pendant deux secondes et vous êtes déjà manger à nouveau! Elle n'y a même pas de nourriture! Je vous jure, votre aller de commencer à manger les autres chevaux!" She scolded the horse in French, without even realizing it. When she was really pissed off, she would often go off into French. It was a trait she had picked up from her mother when she was a child. Thea gave her a blank look. Thea! Get back in your stall! With a big huff the made Loken's hair fly up, the mostly white horse trotted back into her stall. "I'm really sorry, she had issues with following the rules. And. . .she eats. A lot." Thea wasn't really fat, but Suki often pointed out the fact that she was going to be if she kept eating as much has she did. Putting the lock onto Thea's stall and shooting her a look, she turned back to Loken. "Again- really sorry."

Loken was so engrossed in a particular news article about a missing person.. he didn't notice a horse was chewing on his hair until a girl ran in screaming in french. Loken was so taken aback at the situation, he stumbled backwards in his chair but Theodore had been kind enough to lessen the fall with his head. Thankyou pal, that would have been embarrassing on my behalf. Theodore seemed to nod as he pushed Loken back upright on the stool before going back to eating his hay with enthusiasm. Loken looked down at the ground where his newspaper landed when it flung out of his hands in shock with a sigh. Of all places..in your poop Theodore.
Loken rubbed the back of his head where the horse was previously chewing as the girl apologised. "I can see that" he said bluntly obviously upset about his newspaper. He got up dusting off about to go to the store around the corner for a new one but as he did, he had a good look at the girl and froze. Long black hair and crystal blue eyes. Mamma Mia..
Theodore nudged his back hearing his thought but it was too sudden that Loken clumsily got pushed into her. He immediately stepped away not wanting to seem rude or inappropriate.
"Uh I'm sorry..i'm sorry, Theodore..you know" he said putting both his hands up in front of his chest to signal he meant no harm then jerking his thumb behind him at his own horse. "He's like that.." he said in a scolding tone as he looked over his shoulder at the mischievous horse, folding his arms before turning around to face the girl again.
"I haven't seen you..around here before" he noted shrugging like it was nothing but he was fighting off shyness.

She told him and she reached into the back pocket of her short cutoff jeans to retrieve a carrot. Snapping it in half, she gave half of it to Thea and the other half to Theodor. "I'm Suki. Normally I'm here from 5 am to 10 am. I woke up two hours late." The dark-haired girl admitted. Her alarm clock had been mysteriously gone when she woke up. . . .and she had found it three floors below her windowsill. Okay, so maybe she didn't always like waking up early in the morning and took it out on the little bunny alarm clock. Sighing, she leaned back and ran her hands through her long hair as Thea loudly ate her half of the carrot. Without even looking down she knew that her pale blue tank-top that matched her eyes was covered in black and white horsehair. Thea had the coloring of a cow, and you would think she was one of you took a glance at Suki's shirt. Her eyes wandered over Loken, and she smiled to herself. This must be the other horse- he's hot She pointed out to herself, and Thea looked up at her. I wasn't talking to you, cow! Suki shot at her horse, unaware that Theodore probably heard both of her comments.

The drill studgrent yelled, his face completely red. Rilisa ran faster and tried to keep rhythem but she couldn't with yelling like that. It was ASG or Animal Strenth Gym. She liked the class, she always like gym, P.E or whatever. But Rilisa just hated the teacher.

As a swan swims in the outside pool, a figure swims along side her as she pushes herself to keep up.
"Come Ms. Nasaki, you're doing well. The more you practice the quicker you'll be and you'll be fast than your parter." her instructor said through a speaker phone.
Mira could hear her even though she was swimming freestyle. Only one more lap to go. She had been saving her energy for these last few laps. Kicking her legs faster she started to put on the speed. However, her swan partner started to do the same and actually one by a few strokes. Mirabelle was out of breath when she surfaced to the edge of the pool.
"Looks like you need to work on you endurance a bit more, but you're doing extrodinary well for someone who just started swimming with her partner." her instructor smiled at her.
"I've been swimming since I could walk. I hope someday I'll be able to live up to your expertations." Mira smiled before getting out of the pool after catching her breath.
She took her cap off and her long white hair out of two buns. Her swan partner, Grace, got out of the pool too.
"You're on break now Miss Nasaki. Enjoy yourself for awhile." her instructor said before going off.
Mira nodded and headed to the natatorium before heading to the girls' locker room. After taking a quick shower, drying herself off, and putting on clothes, Mira left her swimsuit hanging on the locker with her lock so it wouldn't get stolen. As soon as she was ready, she exit the building, followed by Grace.

"Haha, I gotcha now you big overgrown oaf!" Kei shouted at his bear partner, Bruno.
The two were doing tug-of-war. His instructor wanted to test his strength against the bear's. It was obvious Bruno was winning, despite Kei's taunts. Kei was putting all of his strength into pulling the bear into a puddle of mud. Bruno however wasn't trying too hard. The big grizzly was just teasing him mostly.
"You're doing okay Keichiro. You've been at it now for a few minutes." replied the instructor, who had a stop watch around his neck.
"I'll be done in a few seconds!" Kei bragged.
Indeed it was done in a few more seconds, for just then Bruno jerked the rope so hard, that Kei was pull into the air and fell face first into the mud. The bear roared in laughter as well as the instructor. Kei, however, was not amused.
"Ow!! Oooh I am not done with you yet!" Kei shouted with mud all over his face and his front side.
"Haha, you did very well Kei. Most students don't even last a minute." his instructor commented.
"You mean you knew this was going to happen?" asked Kei as he got out of the mud.
The instructor nodded with a smile.
"Go clean up now Keichiro. You smell like a bear." he laughed.
Kei growled but did as he was instructed and went to a shower facility nearby before cleaning up. Kei decided to walk around a bit with his partner.

Rilisa ran outside. " Puuuukkiiiieee!!!!!" She called out running around, avoiding trees and bushes as she did.
" I have honey for you!" Right then a big brown big bear with a completely round body and cute little face came out. It roared then ran at Rilisa taking her in a huge bear hug.
" I knew that work,girl. Come on lets go to our favorite place. " Pukie trotted toward the place and Rilsa fallowed after. Well thats when Pukie ran into a another bear.
" Pukie your such klutz." Relisa helped her bear to get back on her two feet and petted the other bear's head. She look up at boy there to, and blushed a little.
" I'm so sorry, it that Pukie gets so exicted over honey, she goes crazy... trust me." Rilisa laughed at the end as she remembered what happen last time.

Maura sat down and brought her knees to her chest. Sighing, she leaned back and glanced at a crow that seemed to be following her. "Crow, you're so lucky. When you are in pain, you can just fly away. Nobody can touch you." She said softly, running her hands through her long blond hair. "I'm not so Lucky." Maura wasn't sure why she was talking to the bird, but it wasn't like it wasn't going to tell all his friends about what she said. "My Parents used to hit me all the time. But I still miss them." Her voice cracked, and she buried her face into her knees as tears started to fall from her eyes. She wasn't sure why the crow was bringing back memories- maybe it just came at a bad time.

Loken rubbed the back of his head taking out the pieces of hay he felt one by one in his hair. Thanks for the new hairstyle Thea. he joked as he watched the girl take a carrot out of her back pocket and snapping it in half, started feeding their horses. When she introduced herself as Suki, Loken smiled fondly patting Theodore. "I'm Loken.. normally here from 1pm to 5pm so i see our dilemma in never meeting till now" he said in a playful tone. "And you wokeup late whilst I wokeup early. Figures" he added in smiling at her before returning his glance back at his horse.
There was odd silence.. except for Thea eating that half of the carrot so loudly that Loken was starting to get agitated though it did not show.
Theodore snapped for some unknown reason and started rearing up, standing on his hind legs and raising his front hooves. "Woah buddy!" Loken said standing in front of the horse and trying to calm him down by reaching out to him slowly with his left arm. What has gotten into you Theo! Relax! Theodore appeared angered and kicked down the stable door right off its hinges that nearly hit Suki.. had Loken not stood in the way and whacked the door with the left arm he already had reached out.
At Loken making contact with the door and not Suki, Theodore calmed down instantly but turned the other direction with his bottom facing them like they had done something wrong.

Then Otis flew off, when he was gone another crow came in, standing on a tree watching. Staring at Maura, with a not so friendly look. After ten minutes, Otis came back out but as a human. He wore a black botton up shirt and some black skinny jeans. He stood infront of Maura, with a outstretched hand and what did the boy hold? A tissue. " A pretty girl shouldn't cry."
He look behind him to see the scray looking crow then back at the blond girl. " Sorry about him, that Moses. He very grumpy and doesn't people." He awkwardly put the tissue on the girl's head. Suki smiled at Loken as he introduced himself. The time change explained why they hadn't met yet. She started to raise her hand to shake Loken's, but Theo suddenly stood on his hind legs then broke the door. Suki was sure that she would have gotten hit had Loken not stood in front of her.

As it flew away, she waited quietly, resting her head on her knees. When Otis came back, she gave him an affectionate smile. She softly wiped her eyes with the tissue, and sighed. A tiny, hiccupy giggle escaped her as Otis shooed away his pet. She got along famously with Rya, but she knew of many that didn't really see eye-to-eye with their animals. Mosses and Otis clearly weren't fans of each other, but at least he didn't have an animals that could eat him at any given moment if he was hungry. Her wolf was one of the few species that had to stay in an enclosed area, but it really was for the safety of others. "Thank you. I'm -hic- Maura."

As Suki reached out for his horse, he wasn't quite sure that was a good idea but Theodore seemed to have calmed down. Am I missing something? He turned his head slightly to Theodore with a raised eyebrow questioning the horse. Theodore just neighed.
Loken was startled as Thea neighed too but loudly kicking the wall seperating her and Theodore. Loken shook his head before reaching out to pat Thea himself. "Steady girl..Theodore is a good boy..most of the time" he said contemplating if Theodore had ever displayed reckless behaviour besides now as he walked away to pick up a brush to comb her mane. He couldn't help but laugh as he returned finding Thea had shot his horse a nasty look.
"Its a shame they can't get along like we do" Loken said to Suki as a light joke before starting to softly brush Thea's mane. You have a lot of knots.. he informed the horse brushing slower to avoid her getting hurt.

"Oh believe me, Bruno is the same way, only if he doesn't get his daily dose of honey, he sits on me til he does." he laughed.

Maura Thorn
Maura caught the last bit of Otis's comment and blushed. "Thank you." She said softly, running her hands through her long hair.
Truthfully, she thought his stuttering was adorable. It saddened her to think of him finding his mate, but she quickly wanted to slap herself for thinking something so self-centered. Without thinking, she blurted, "Who's your mate?". There was the slightest hint of jealousy in her tone, which made her blush and turn away embarrassingly. "I'm sorry- you don't have to answer that. It just sort of came out." Truthfully she had felt like her inner wolf needed to know, not necessarily Maura. It would explain the burning jealousy and the needing to know who he would end up with.

Otis look at her shock at what she said. In his mind he panic. Okay Otis, your artist, a peot, a painter, vision seeker, a writer. Your all of these things, now show her that! Or else nothing but a chicken! Otis leaned into Maura's face and toke a deep breath.
" Once apon time there was crow, you saw a beautiful she-wolf. The moment he saw her, he was interested in her, like no one else before. Ever since he saw her cry. He wanted to protect her and comfort her. Ever his feather brushed her lovely face. He wanted to kiss." Otis kissed the cornor's of Maura's lips. That when the bell ranged.
He got and look down at her. " May I walk you to your class?"

Loken clumsily dropped the brush out of his hand and froze on the spot when Suki asked if he knew his mate. He bent down to pick it up fighting off the blush and keep being cool, calm and collected..at least on the surface.
"Maybe.." he said with a smile before standing upright.
Suki's voice started ringing in his ears when she squealed about Thea. He was confused for a moment until he realised the horse's head was leaning on his back. He sighed. I didn't notice Thea eating my hair..and I didn't notice this.. sneaky Thea. he communicated in which the horse neighed as if laughing along.
"So what do you do in your spare time?" he asked Suki curious. Maybe it was the detective in him. His watch started alarming as he pulled his arm up horizontally in front of him to glance at the time. "Hm I normally go by the cafe at this time" he muttered to himself before raising his head to smile at Suki. "Are you busy?" he asked pocketing his hands in his pants considering inviting her to tag along.

Suki stroked her black and white horse as she leaned on Theodore. She wasn't going to let her earlier question go- the suspense was killing her. Surely he knew that. "Are you suuuuure you don't know?" She purred, shooting him a flirty look. Her look never failed.
A massive amount of weight was suddenly applied to Suki's foot and she realized Thea was stepping on her. Off, Thea. That kinda hurts- your not the lightest pony around. Thea obediently stepped off of her knee-high boot, shooting her a look. Thank you, sweetheart. Suki turned her tiny smirk back onto Loken, fingering a strand of Thea's mane. "I'll go if you give me a hint."

"Bruno, leave the lady alone! Sorry about that, he's a bit spoiled. It's nice meeting you Rilisa." Kei smiled before taking out his own supply of honey.
"Bruno, here you got plenty." the young man said before waving the bottle.
That got Bruno to turn around and pretty much tackled Kei to get the honey.
"ACH!!! Get off of me you big oaf!!" Kei gasped and he pushed mightly to get the huge animal off.
He could barely breath. It was a miracle that the bear didn't have his full weight on him. The bear managed to move and Kei got up before opening up the cap and letting the hungry bear have his fill. Honey was mostly a treat for the bear also needed protein in his diet. Unlike most of the other partners, his partner would have to hibernate for the winter because it was his nature to do so. Keishiro looked back at Risilia.
"So you excited about the full moon tonight? I am." he said before hearing the bell.
"Oh that stinks." he groaned.

Well, unfortunately with my char Mirabelle, her parents are gone and the only family members in her family don't even know about the curse and this whole 'mate' thing. So how would that work for chars like Mira? Kei it be no problem lol.

We should have day called. Bring you mate home day, where the male students bring their mates to meet their parents. Then the next day, the female students can bring their mates home to meet their parents.
