Description

Image
Image
Image Image| Full Name |
"It's a pretty simple name."
Drake Alex Giovanni

| Nickname |
"You don't have time for two syllables?"
Drake doesn't have any nicknames because you can't really do much
with a name like Drake. He just goes by Drake, or sometimes D

| Age |
Twenty-five years-old

Image

Image| Appearance |
Drake is a very attractive man. Women are often all
over him, all he has to do is smile and they melt for
him. He's got a fit body with well-defined muscles,
and is rather tall, standing at 6'2". He's got dark blonde
hair that he tends to keep short. As for facial hair, he
tends to keep it shaved, but occasionally goes
for a rougher look.

Image| Personality |
"I'm the best in the business."
As a hitman for the mafia, Drake is a very powerful man.
In fact, he's rather power hungry, which is why
he's so damn good at his job. He's obsessed with working,
his job is pretty much everything to him and he's damn
good at it. He eat, sleeps, and breathes the mafia, which, of
course, doesn't leave much time for relationships. He
doesn't care though, it's easy enough for him to get a
girl into bed to satisfy him when he's not working, then
throw her away like she means nothing.

So begins...

"Well, of course my dear" were the words that slipped from her nude lips as she crossed the marble floor to the bar. Tonight she was eye candy to ben seen with her husband. He was a good man - for the most part. Gave her everything she wanted, and then some more. It did help he wasn't sore on the eyes either. Being born into this life, she simply accepted the marriage as a business deal. While she was the queen of hearts - hers was never on the table it seemed. As she approached the bar it was just her luck that the bartender was busy - but that was no mind. With a few tricky thoughts and some wishful thinking the newly enamored bartender came to her aid.

"Mrs. Argyris, it's a pleasure. What can I get for you? Your drink is on me tonight" he spoke sweetly. With a small smile and the point of her finger she picked out the old bottle of scotch on the glass shelf.
"If you may, a bit of that on the rocks. One simply neat, please" while she didn't need to be polite to capture the man's attention - it was simply good manners. It wasn't often Isabella had to use her abilities in order to get what she wanted. She just drew people in naturally. It was something she had learned to appreciate. Once the drinks were handed without charge she began her journey back to the couch in which her husband sat with other men in suits, speaking of business she cared less about.

His eyes watched the wife of his business partner scurry off to perform some mundane task. In his opinion, people were only good for that - tasks that he was too busy himself to do. The club hadn't been his choice, but it was a good enough area to meet the mobster. Damien was aware of the words people whispered about him. Cruel, methodical, manipulative, the list only went on. He paid no mind. Above the words he got his way by the end of the day. Whether blood had to be shed or not - he was always successful. Of course he never got his hands dirty. That's what he paid other people to do. Better the job, better the cash. Those who did well for him were well rewarded. Those who failed paid the ultimate price. Never did he feel bad about either of those transactions.

"Old friend, I believe we've come to a conclusion" Marcus had said with a grin, taking the drink from his wife who went to so obediently sit by his side.
"You're correct. Though it dissuades me about the bit of...competition we have sitting in the way" he spoke simply, looking to the man like he should understand his train of thought.
"I believe we can find a solution to this problem. I will have my men sort it out"

For the first time in a long time, Camille was actually nervous. She had a date with her boyfriend, but it wasn't so much the date that had her nervous, for she'd been on plenty of them. It was where they were going. Her boyfriend, Alexander, was taking her to a very exclusive party thrown by none other then the mafia. She would be surrounded by powerful, dangerous men and glamorous women. It was a little scary, sure, to think of the types of men she'd be around, but at the same time, it was like a dream come true for her. She was obsessed with danger, as well as beauty. She couldn't help herself for she was a girly-girl with a rebel heart.

She'd been begging Xander to take her to an event thrown by the mafia for months now. She'd been raised by a detective, but she'd always found crime thrilling. She was hopelessly drawn to it. Her father would surely kill her if he knew she was, not only dating, but living with a dirty cop who was associated with mobsters, but that was the whole point of dating Xander. He wasn't exactly a good boyfriend, and if she was being honest, she really didn't like him all that much, but he was basically the opposite of everything she'd been raised to believe, so she liked the idea of being with him more then she actually liked him.

Apparently, the party was a big deal. Only the most important of mafia members would be there, and while Xander wasn't exactly a mobster, he was invited because he was a dirty cop, and responsible for keeping the law off their backs. In exchange for ridiculous amounts of cash, Xander had to make sure the good cops came no where near the mob's operations so they wanted him there to talk business.

For the most part, Alexander kept her out of his work, but Camille was nothing if not determined. She wanted to be part of his world, because it excited her. She'd begged and begged him to take her with him until he finally broke down and gave her his credit card to buy herself a dress. In the car on the way to the club, he grilled her over and over again about her role at the party. She was to look pretty, act as arm candy, and speak to almost no one. He didn't want her speaking her mind, and he definitely didn't want her getting too involved with the dangerous people who would be there.

She hated the rules and really had no intention of following them, but she just nodded over and over and assured him she'd be nothing more then his trophy for the night so by the time they finally arrived, he seemed to trust her. Alex parked before turning to give her a kiss and she kissed back. "Behave." He said simply against her lips before getting out of the car and Cami rolled her eyes and got out as well, looping her arm through his as they went into the club.

Drake had had a hell of a day. He'd woken up that morning to a text from his boss. The text was nothing more then a name, but Drake knew what that meant. It meant he had a job to do. He'd sent the name to a guy that worked below him, and within an hour, he received everything he needed to know about the man and, most importantly, where he was. It was an easy job really, go to the man's house, kill him, and stage it to look like an accident.

Only it didn't actually turn out to be that simple. His men somehow forgot to inform him that the guy had a teenage daughter. Well, he'd been in the middle of staging the "accident" when the girl had arrived home and caught him. He hadn't wanted them to, but things had to get messy then. He couldn't leave a living witness, no matter how young or innocent the girl was. She had to go too. So then, he had a clusterfuck to deal with.

After a long, stressful day disposing of not one, but two bodies, Drake then had to kill the man who'd neglected to tell him about the daughter and deal with that mess. Sure, he didn't have to kill him, but he'd done it anyway. If he had to kill innocents because of his men, then they weren't doing their jobs and were useless to him. Besides, he was upset about the girl. Sure, he was a seasoned killer and was usually immune to any type of guilt, but he really hated killing women, children, or innocent people and she had been all three.

He'd finally arrived home only to be informed that he had about twenty minutes to get ready for a very important party that was going down at one of the many clubs owned by the mafia, the organization he killed for. He had to go, as he was one of Damien's most important hit men. His absence would be noticed for sure. Besides, after the day he'd just had, he really needed a drink and some company for the night and a party was always a good place to acquire both.

He'd arrived a little late, but it didn't matter much as no one was expected to be right on time. Instantly, his eyes landed on a woman, making her way from the bar, to a couch where her husband sat. Isabella. She was Marcus's wife, a very powerful man, and was exclusively off limits to him, but he couldn't keep himself from admiring her as she passed. She was stunning to look at and he never tired of hearing her speak. It honestly drove him a little crazy to know he could never have her because she belonged to Marcus. If he could have his pick of the girls in that room, he'd surely choose Isabella, but instead, he settled for chatting with a young brunette at the bar, a much safer choice that was less likely to get him killed.

She sat in the lap of her husband who upon contact put a hand on her knee. Hearing what was transpiring she did as she normally did, pretended she was hearing nothing. That was until she heard her name.
"What was that darling?" Isabella questioned to her husband looking back at him. He squeezed her knee. "I said that I will be leaving on a trip and you are to keep things a float in my absence" he told her slowly once more. She looked from him to Damien. "If you believe I'm best fit for the job then I'll do my best" her words didn't seem to be enough as the grip on her knee tightened.
"I will need more than your best, my dear" Marcus said without looking at her, but looking at the crime lord in front of him who looked all to relaxed. Isabella didn't know the entirety of the situation, only that she'd be expected to make the hard choices in her husband's absence.

"Mr.Apollyon is also gifting you a body guard as well, just to keep you safe. You know how it can be" her eyebrows raised at the fact. She didn't like the sound of that at all. Her independence was something she strongly cherished. "I'm sure I can take care of myself" she retorted before getting a glare that shut down her argument from both of the mobsters.

"Can I at least meet the person then before I entrust them with my life?" she questioned Damien standing to her feet. Isabella brushed down the long dress before clasping both hands in front of her.

"It'd be unfair to you if you were blinded to the negotiation. Bell, I'm simply sending your husband to fix a little mistake within his planning. When it's sorted out he'll be back" Damien told her. At the use of the nickname he saw the woman's jaw clench in disapproval. He only smiled further. His mouth opened once again to speak but he stopped when in the corner of his eye he saw something far too divine for this place. Damien could recognize beauty easily. Marcus's wife was a prime example, yet this was different. It was innocence. He looked back to the couple in front of him before continuing.
"I'm charging my very best with your care miss. You shouldn't be concerned. His name is Drake" he said pointing at him at the bar. It was a moment later that he called the man over in hopes he could hear him through the establishment.

Eyes went back to the woman who had entered the club. The man on her arm was a sign that he should leave it alone, yet a man never stopped Damien from any of his potential...goals.
"Are we clear?" he asked the two. It was followed by a nod from each of them. "Then Marcus will leave now. I already shifted your flight" he told the man who was getting up already. Marcus had followed by saying goodbye to his wife with a chaste kiss before leaving out the back door of the club.

Camille and Xander entered the club, her arm looped through his. It was easily one of the nicest clubs she'd ever been to, and instantly, she was thrilled. The men were well dressed, and you could tell they were used to dealing with large amounts of money, and the women were beautiful, wearing designer gowns, and glittering jewelry. Underneath all the beauty, however, there was a sense of danger and darkness, and, while it would intimidate most people, Camille only found it intriguing. Already, she wanted to be more involved in this world of crime and lavish living.

As they entered, several eyes lifted to look her over, some admiring, some sizing her up, and some wondering who she was. Camille kept her arm looped through Xander's, staying close to his side like he'd asked. He didn't want her talking to any of the men there and while he said, it was because they were too dangerous for her, Cami knew the real reason was jealousy. He didn't want her to find someone new, and more interesting to her then him. Afterall, he'd stolen her away from her previous boyfriend, it could easily happen again. Cami was selfish, she wanted what she wanted, when she wanted it.

If someone else came along that was better to her then Xander, she wouldn't have any trouble replacing him. She couldn't help it, she had to have the best and nothing less, especially when it came to her men. She could feel someone's gaze practically burning through her as she stood with Xander and chatted with someone she wasn't really paying attention to. She glanced around until she saw the man who was looking at her, sitting across the room from her with a beautiful brunette woman and another man.

There was something dark about him that she was instantly drawn to. All she'd done was spot him, and already, she wanted to know who he was. His gaze was like fire, even from all the way across the room, but Camille did her best not to notice, trying to keep her attention on Xander and whoever he was introducing her to. She and Xander made small talk with the mobster for a brief moment, before the man flicked his eyes between the two of them and asked Xander if they could speak alone, about business. It was nothing personal, he assured her, he just didn't discuss business in front of strangers, no matter how pretty.

Camille just chuckled and kissed Alex on the cheek. "I'll wait for you at the bar." She assured him, letting him know she would behave while he was gone. He gave her a skeptical look before finally nodding and leaving her alone to go talk business with the mobster. Cami went over to the bar then, flagging down the bartender and ordering herself a drink.

The girl Drake was speaking to at the bar was boring as all hell. She was pretty, sure, but there was absolutely nothing interesting or intriguing about her so his eyes kept glancing over to where Isabella sat with her husband, and Damien, his boss and friend. He couldn't help himself. She was just so much more inciting then the girl he was talking to, even if he could never have her.

Drake couldn't hear what the three of them were talking about, but he watched as a look of disappointment crossed over Isabella's face before Damien turned and called him over to them. Drake smirked and excused himself from his conversation with the boring brunette before grabbing his drink and making his way over. Apparently, Marcus was going out of town and Isabella needed someone to watch over her, and that someone was going to be him.

"Are we clear?" Damien asked the two of them, and Drake just nodded. He knew it might not be the brightest idea for him to spend so much time with Isabella without Marcus around. She'd be tempting to him. However, he couldn't refuse an order from Damien and, if he was being honest, he was looking forward to it. "Then Marcus will leave now. I already shifted your flight" Damien told Marcus and Drake watched as Marcus obeyed, sayinf goodbye to his wife with a kiss before slipping out the back door.

Drake turned his eyes back on Isabella. "Let me buy you a drink." He said with a smile, trying not to enjoy the situation too much. He had to remind himself that she was Marcus's. He'd been with married women before, but this was different. Marcus was an important man. Should he cross the line, he would surely end up dead.

Isabella watched her husband's back as he left the club, leaving her there to her own devices. Damien had excused himself claiming he'd be back later. She was left with her new body guard. Being a woman of independence she wasn't a fan of the new guard watching her every move. Already was she glanced upon enough. At his offer of a drink she looked at him fully. He had a straight jawline and a dangerous hint about him. It scared many, but Isabella had always lived in danger. If people were typical, she knew things were bound to fail.

"Is buying a drink a part of the body guard regime sir?" she asked him taking a step towards the bar. She had left the drink that was still full on the table where her husband once sat. "Or is it paying me off to be quiet while you run away and do more important things?" she asked all to slyly, not caring the intention of the guard, more seeing how this babysitting deal would operate.

In all honesty he was glad that Isabella had been taken off his hands. He didn't have time for the logistics of her care. She was a fine enough person, but as it seemed - he was selfish. That's what being a mob leader was about - you. It was about what made him money, and how he could benefit. Women, drugs, alcohol, and law were things that he was indifferent about. Maybe a woman would warm his bed. He didn't care. People were disposable. Never in his life had me met someone he felt he would work to keep.

People were boring to him. All able to be manipulated. Also all able to be read.

Yet the girl at the bar seemed to at least peak his interest. It was clear to see she was beautiful, yet it was never beauty that struck him. It was at least enough to make him seamlessly come forward to her when she was away from the brute of a man.
"What're you drinking?" he asked her as the bartender left, seeing Damien and grabbing another glass for the regular gin and tonic the man always got. He wasn't picky, but he knew what he liked.

Camille wasn't alone at the bar for very long. Before the bartender had even turned to acknowledge her, a man slipped up next to her. She didn't even have to turn to look to know who it was. It was the man who'd had his eye on her when she entered, the one with the dark, powerful look to him. There was an energy coming off him as he moved in next to her that was strangely intimidating and intoxicating at the same time. He was exactly the kind of guy she was drawn to. Power practically radiated off him, he hadn't even spoken and already she knew he was an important man. As soon as the bartender saw him, he started mixing him a drink, making her smirk. She was sitting with someone who was both feared and respected and she loved it.

"What're you drinking?" He asked her then and she finally let herself turn her eyes to him, taking a good look at him. He really was tempting. Not only was he a powerful mobster, but he definitely looked the part. Despite his clothes covering his body, she could see tattoos on his neck and hands and it made her a little too curious about what the rest of his tattoos looked like. For a brief moment, she wasn't sure if she should speak to him. She'd promised Alex she wouldn't get involved with anyone there, especially not the men. Her eyes glanced briefly from the man to where Xander had gone, then back to him again.

She'd never been very good at following rules. Sure, she tried as hard as she could, she wanted to be a girl her father was proud of, but in the end, being bad was just too tempting. Camille smiled at him before gesturing for the bartender to pour her a glass of whiskey, returning her attention back to the man as the bartender handed her the drink. "I'm a whiskey girl." She said with a smile as she raised the glass to her lips to take a small drink, eyes running over him once more.

If Drake was being honest, he liked Isabella for more reasons then just her physical beauty. Sure, he didn't know her well, but he'd been around her and observed her enough to know a bit about her. She was entirely unique from most of the women in his world. For one, she looked at him completely without fear. Most people he spoke with were intimidated by him, especially women, but Isabella never seemed the least bit phased by him. It almost made him forget what he did for a living. She also was quite independent. She was Marcus's wife, sure, and Marcus often treated her like a shiny trophy, but anyone with eyes could see she was so much more then that.

She had a mind of her own, and, even though Damien wanted him to watch her while Marcus was gone, he had a feeling she was perfectly capable of conducting business without Marcus around. "Is buying a drink a part of the body guard regime sir?" She asked him as she moved towards the bar and he just raised a brow. He wasn't fond of the idea of being a body guard, he was much too important for babysitting, but if he had to watch over anyone, he was glad it was Isabella. "Or is it paying me off to be quiet while you run away and do more important things?" she asked and he just smirked.

"It was an offer to chat for a bit." He said with a shrug. "We'll be spending some time together, I just thought you'd like to know the man keeping you safe." He smiled politely, though he could tell she was a little irritated with the idea of having a body guard. She wanted to prove that she could handle it, but at the same time, she wasn't exactly going to disobey a direct order from Damien and neither was he. He'd keep an eye on her and make sure she was safe because that was what his boss wanted him to do. "If you'd prefer I keep my distance, however, I will." He offered, letting her know he could hang back and give her space if she wished. He didn't intend to crush her independence and monitor her every step, he would just do what was needed to keep her out of harms way until Marcus returned.

She sat down upon a stool and raised a brow at the man. "We'll see after a few drinks if you need to to back off then" she almost grinned crossing her legs. Not much was known about the bodyguard that was hired. She knew little other than his name. It most likely was that way for a reason. Being a hit man of the most notorious mobster around, your name couldn't exactly be flung around. His dangerous persona didn't bother her. In fact, it was comforting.

Isabella looked the man up and down as the bartender came back to her with a smile. "What else do you want Mrs?" he asked and she looked over the wines stocked. Isabella had never been a fan of hard liquor. More so for the fact it was used to get blacked out. There was nothing good about that. She preferred to remain in control.

"I'll take the Spottsewood Cabernet" she told the bartender who only nodded before looking at the man next to her. "And you sir?" he waited for the answer. Isabella on the other hand played with the silk of her dress, running fingers on the crease of the material, knowing that the bartender was ever watchful. "So does a man in your...occupation have any hobbies?" Isabella asked. She was always interested in people. In her eyes, people were unique and beautiful creatures - even the most stained of people.

Perhaps he watched her lips too closely as she took a drink from her whiskey glass. He was interested in how such a clean looking woman was in this place. Anyone who came here had to know of its reputation. If they didn't - they were plain ignorant. He adjusted the sleeves on his jacket as the bartender gave him his drink.

"I like whiskey a fair amount, although scotch has won me over as of late" he said twirling the drink in his hand before taking a small sip. He'd learned awhile ago to savor the drink instead of just chugging it down. Chugging it was tempting most of the time. "So I'm going to cut to the chase Angel" her new nickname coming all too easily to him "why are you here? More importantly, why did your man think it was a good idea to leave you alone in such a polluted place" it was almost a question. Damien didn't play with words. He was a direct kind of man. Which got him in trouble at times, but he was all too capable of getting out of it. He knew what people whispered about him. That he was the devil himself. That made him laugh most of the time, because they were right in a way. Yet at the same time, it was sad that no person wanted to know him on any other level than the mob boss. Women were afraid of him, and men cowered.

"I like whiskey a fair amount, although scotch has won me over as of late" The man said as he twirled his drink in his glass and she kept her eyes on him, wondering who he was. "So I'm going to cut to the chase Angel" He said then, and Cami raised an eyebrow, curious as to what he had to say. "why are you here? More importantly, why did your man think it was a good idea to leave you alone in such a polluted place" He questioned and she simply smirked.

"I'm here for the rich, dangerous men." She said with a teasing smile as she took a sip of her drink. She'd said it as a joke, but she'd be lying if she said it wasn't entirely true. She wanted to be a good girl and remain faithful to Xander, but she couldn't help but let her eyes drift over the man before her, mind about as far from Xander, or being good as it got. He was dangerous, and powerful, and was honestly making her wish she wasn't there with her boyfriend.

"Don't worry about me though, I can handle myself." Cami said rather confidently, eyes on the man as she took another drink from her glass. "Besides, I'm not alone." She shrugged, gesturing to him with a sly smirk on her lips. "I don't think I caught your name, Sir, I'm Camille." She said with a smile as she wondered what exactly his intentions were. He'd clearly seen her boyfriend, and yet he was speaking to her anyway.

Drake kept his eyes on Isabella as she sat on one of the barstools and raised her eyebrow at him. "We'll see after a few drinks if you need to to back off then" She said, nearly grinning and he smirked and nodded, taking his seat next to her at the bar. She seemed completely comfortable in his company, which was refreshing to say the least. Most people he spent time around were nervous and on edge around him because of his dangerous reputation. It was nice to speak with someone who didn't fear him for a change.

The bartender came over then, asking what Isabella would like to drink and she ordered herself a wine before the man turned his attention to him, asking what he would like. Drake gestured to a bottle of scotch before turning his attention back on Isabella as she spoke to him again. "So does a man in your...occupation have any hobbies?" Isabella asked, genuine curiosity in her voice that he enjoyed.

It wasn't often that people made an effort to get to know him. In fact, because of his dangerous reputation, people tended to try and know as few details about him as possible. He wasn't used to people asking him personal questions. "You mean other then killing people?" He said with a smirk. He was joking, of course. Killing people wasn't a hobby for him, he didn't get some sort of sick satisfaction from it. He enjoyed the job because he was good at it, it paid well, and he got satisfaction out of a job well done, but the actual act of killing wasn't what he liked about the job.

Drake just shrugged and smiled then. "I work too much to really have any hobbies." He said honestly. His life was pretty much his job. He didn't have relationships because no sane woman would want to spend more time then she had to with a person who killed for a living, and he really didn't have much free time. Typically, his free time was spent chasing one-night stands, or planning his next kill. "Unless you count flirting with beautiful women." He smirked with a shrug. "How about yourself? Does a mobster's wife have any hobbies?" He asked as he took a sip of his drink, eyes on her.

The joke was a bit morbid but in all honesty, she couldn't expect much else from a man like him. Death was written on him in a different way. Not like his boss. On him, he made it seem like a casual thing. Like death was no different from life. In her mind, death was a sad yet beautiful thing. It allowed for the cycle of life to continue and for more things to come.

A glass was set in front of her filled with the wine she had ordered. Isabella was a connoisseur of the fine liquid. Often she'd roam vineyards and take samples in the midst of California. Other times she'd travel to international locations to get a taste. She was all for culture.

"All people have hobbies. I guess flirting with women could be one, but there needs to be something to do to alleviate your stresses. Killing people may be easy, but getting blood out of clothing seems tedious" she spoke prodding the man for info. Taking a sip of the dark red liquid her lips left a red mark upon the class when she sat it back down. It almost looked as if she was thinking on how to reply to his question. Hobbies? Well that's all she did in her life. Look pretty around the arm of her husband, and go do what she wanted.

"Well, I enjoy wine tasting. I walk around the city a lot. Visit art galleries. Nothing exciting. For the most I follow around my husband"

Honestly, he laughed a bit. Not a full on chuckle, but under his breath. The girl claimed she was here for danger. She didn't know the half of it. It was apparent she didn't know him and what he was capable of. He would try to keep it that way for now. The sniff of even talking to the mob boss people went running.

"Can you really take care of yourself Angel? If some man wanted to take you away I doubt your small self could fight them off" he commented looking over her with his feral eyes. "But you can keep calling me Sir, Ms.Camille - it's what most call me" Damien took a small sip of his liquid and slid it towards her.

"Take a sip, you might like it more than that simple stuff you're drinking" he offered her. Those at the bar avoided his eye contact when it rarely left the blonde in front of him. They were scared - as they should be. He was no force to reckon with. Yet the woman didn't seemed unnerved quite yet. Maybe she could handle herself - or she was a good actor. Maybe a bit of both. "How mad will that boy of yours be when he finds you talking to me at the bar?"

Sorry for the late reply as well. I had a thought that our characters can't use their powers on one another - and that kinda throws them off??

"Can you really take care of yourself Angel? If some man wanted to take you away I doubt your small self could fight them off." He said and Camille just shrugged and sipped her drink. She was used to people underestimating her. Sure, she was small and quite fragile looking, but her father had forced her to take self defense classes most of her life. If something were to happen, she'd be able to handle herself well enough to get away. "But you can keep calling me Sir, Ms. Camille - it's what most call me." He said then, making her raise a brow as he slid his glass to her. He was powerful, that much was obvious. No one in the bar but her would make eye contact with him, and it made her want to know exactly who he was, though he seemed determined to keep her in the dark, not even giving her a name to call him by.

"Take a sip, you might like it more than that simple stuff you're drinking." He offered and she smiled. Everyone around them seemed to fear him, but she wasn't afraid. In fact, she was a little thrilled to be sitting with someone so dangerous. "How mad will that boy of yours be when he finds you talking to me at the bar?" He asked, reminding her of Xander and she rolled her eyes and sighed. She was no longer interested in Alexander. He was good looking, and dangerous, sure, but the man she was sitting with now was far more interesting then Xander could ever be. In fact, this stranger's dark energy almost made Xander look weak. If he wasn't mob boss, he was as close to it.

Her eyes glanced behind him, to where Alex had disappeared to speak business. She knew if he came back and found her speaking to a mobster at the bar, he'd be absolutely livid. She was doing exactly what he'd asked her not to do and he'd drag her out of there faster then she could process what had happened. She didn't see him just yet, but she knew it wouldn't be long before he returned. Camille took a sip of the drink he'd slid her, returning her eyes to his, a mischievous look in them, like she knew she was doing something wrong and didn't care.

"Well, Sir..." she breathed with a wicked smirk, eyes catching sight of Xander coming out of a room, shaking hands with the man he was with. In another minute, he would be making his way across the room to find her and she'd be ripped away and taken home. Her night would be over and she'd never see this man again. "I'm afraid he'll be very angry. He specifically asked me not to speak to anyone." She said, raising a brow as she saw Alex start to turn away from his conversation, getting ready to make his was back towards the bar. "He's on his way here now, should we make an escape?" She said with a devious smirk on her lips, making it all too clear that she didn't want to go home with Xander. She wanted to spend more time with this dark, alluring stranger.

"All people have hobbies. I guess flirting with women could be one, but there needs to be something to do to alleviate your stresses. Killing people may be easy, but getting blood out of clothing seems tedious." Isabella said as she sipped her wine, clearly not satisfied which his answer, wanting to know more. He wasn't used to people wanting to know about him. Usually, people tried to keep their interactions with him as brief as possible, he was very rarely asked personal questions, and when he was, he tended to deflect them, but she clearly wasn't having that. He watched her as she seemed to consider his question and he wished, not for the first time, that she wasn't married. He had no objections to sleeping with married women, he'd done it before, but Isabella was different because Marcus was a pretty important man. He didn't want to get himself killed.

"Well, I enjoy wine tasting. I walk around the city a lot. Visit art galleries. Nothing exciting. For the most I follow around my husband" She answered him and he nodded, taking a drink from his glass as he glanced around the bar briefly, before turning his eyes back on her. It wasn't that he wasn't paying attention to her, he just liked to keep his eye on what was going on around him as well. He was a powerful man in a room filled with other powerful men who were often prone to acts of violence. It would be stupid of him not to keep his eye on the others in the room.

"I like to read." He told her with a smile. He wasn't sure he'd ever really discussed his hobbies before. He tended not to talk about himself much. Not only because people tended not to ask, but also because his line of work was very secretive. The less people knew about him, the better he could perform his job. He had to be a shadow, and he couldn't do that if a lot of people knew intimate details about his life. Still, he enjoyed talking to Isabella, and for some reason, he wanted her to know he wasn't just a killer. He was a man as well. "I've got a pretty impressive library at home." He said with a shrug as he took another drink, eyes on her.

That's fine! I took forever to reply too because I've been kinda busy lately, sorry about that lol. I like that idea for the powers though!

Out of any of the hobbies the man in front of her could have potentially had, she did not expect reading. Reading was for those with time and maybe a bit of tact. Not that he didn't look tactful, he just seemed like he had better things to do than read stories. Isabella herself wasn't the most well read woman. She never had the time. If she did she'd like to curl up with a book perhaps. It wasn't her job to look smart, however. To her husband she had to look rather...broad and ditzy. Far more well informed than others like to believe, but she kept that under wraps.

"Well, you'll have to show me this collection sometime then. Since we'll be spending enough time together I gather we can get around to that eventually" taking a sip of her drink she paused before speaking again. The bartender would smile and her and avoid the eyes of the true boss sitting seats down next to a beautiful woman. She couldn't be surprised.

Her light eyed gaze went back to the dangerous man next to her. "What exactly do you read then? I can guess it isn't romance novels with happy endings, unless I'm wrong of course" her teasing smile spread across her face as she looked back down to her drink. "The only books in my...my husbands home are rather dry. Many finance guides along with other titles that speak to no one but his interest".

He watched closely, the man that was beginning to come towards them. Typically a man would feel threatened or even scared. After all, he was talking to some man's girl. Damien felt no such inclination to move. Despite her slight recommendation he was in no hurry. He stood up from his bar stool. His tall stature left a shadow over where he once was, but all too simply his eyes flickered to black.

Who he assumed was her man was tripped by the shadows around him, spilling the drink upon himself. Damien didn't take well to extras. He liked things his way. Damien liked a good prank ever so often. No one could tell how the even just transpired. His abilities he could not understand, but they served him well in most scenarios. Small uses didn't exhaust him like strangling a man with his own shadow.

"Angel, I think that we can do whatever you want. Don't worry about that nobody" he spoke smoothly, taking a finger and tilting her head to face him with slight pressure. "Now Angel, what do you want to do? We don't need to think about anything else tonight" he told her taking his touch away and downing the rest of his whiskey with one large swig.

You're all good!

Camille watched as he stood up from his seat. His eyes went black and she raised a brow. Power seemed to be emanating from him, she could feel it in the air almost. The sight might frighten some people, but it didn't frighten her, it simply intrigued her. Ever since she was a child, she'd been able to do and see things she couldn't explain, like make a garden grow abundantly with just a thought, or see the spirits of the deceased. She hadn't met anyone yet in her life that had similar "gifts", but she'd always believed they were out there, somewhere. She wasn't sure if that was the case here or not, but in any case, the power that seemed to radiate from him and his black eyes didn't scare her. It merely made her even more curious about who he was.

Camille glanced at Alexander, smirked when she saw him trip suddenly out of nowhere, spilling his drink all over himself. He cursed and changed course, heading for the bathroom instead of towards the bar and she couldn't help but grin. He had to have a part in that event somehow. He had a sense of arrogance about him, like he'd just gotten his way.

"Angel, I think that we can do whatever you want. Don't worry about that nobody." He said smoothly, causing her to raise a brow when he referred to Alex as a nobody. He used a finger to tilt her head so she was looking up at him and she couldn't ignore the slight spark she felt when his skin touched hers. Maybe it was the liquor, she wasn't sure, but she could swear she'd felt something, even from that slight touch. "Now Angel, what do you want to do? We don't need to think about anything else tonight." He told her taking his touch away and downing the rest of his whiskey with one large swig.

"We could get out of here." She breathed before she'd even really realized she'd said it. She wasn't usually the type of girl to go home with a man she'd met at a bar. She tried to do things right, and go slow most of the time, but every so often, her darker side won over and she just couldn't help herself. This man was intoxicating, alluring, and powerful. She couldn't bring herself to pass up the chance to sleep with a real mobster. Besides, she'd be lying if she said she wasn't eager to get out of that bar and spend some time alone with him, especially after that mysterious display with Xander.

Isabella looked surprised when he told he he enjoyed reading, and he'd expected as much. When people saw his collection, they were often stunned by the fact that a man of such brutality and violence chose to spend his free time reading. It was a hobby for intellectuals, not killers, and yet, it was one of his favorite ways to pass the time, thanks to his mother. When he was a child, too young to realize the life he'd been born into, his mother used to read to him all the time until he learned to read on his own.

"Well, you'll have to show me this collection sometime then. Since we'll be spending enough time together I gather we can get around to that eventually." Isabella said as she took a sip of her drink and he nodded. It wasn't something he often shared with people, but if she wanted to see it, he'd gladly show her. "What exactly do you read then? I can guess it isn't romance novels with happy endings, unless I'm wrong of course" She teased, making him chuckle at the thought of a hit-man sitting around reading sappy love stories in his free time.

"The only books in my...my husbands home are rather dry. Many finance guides along with other titles that speak to no one but his interest." She said, and he raised a brow when she called her home, her husband's home, like, even though they were married and lived there together, it all still belonged to Marcus. Even she seemed to belong to him as more of a trophy or an accessory, than a wife. He couldn't understand how Marcus saw her that way. A girl like Isabella was not a mere accessory. Hell, if something tragic were to happen to her husband, Drake had the feeling Isabella could easily carry on his portion of business on her own. She was smart and capable.

"I like to read a lot of different things." He answered her question with a smile. "I've read a lot of classic literature, but I've also got a good amount of non-fiction and modern novels lining my shelves." He said with a shrug. He really did love reading just about anything he could get his hands on. It wasn't so much the story itself that he enjoyed, but the act of reading. Being able to sit down, take some time to himself, and do something that wasn't mob-related.

In all honesty her joke about romance novels was a bit close to home. All her life she'd been a lover. A lover of love perhaps. Always intrigued by beauty and the thought of falling in love. That was a weakness in her life. So Isabella closed herself off from loving others, only to be loved based on her physical appearance all her life.

It worked well enough to get her into this position. Yet it never made her happy. Being a man's arm candy was dandy until she looked at herself and only saw an ugly lie.
"Classic literature as in...The Great Gatsby or more Shakespearean? Both beautiful works of art. It really is amazing about what one can tell when analyzing literature" she said almost too quickly. A slight cough in her throat cleared any further ideas about the subject.

She wasn't supposed to hold such interest. Her mind was supposed to only wander in the sense of material things. Her husband was always bored of her talk about the deeper meanings of art forms. Isabella couldn't help it, she was always a deep thinker in that regard. It was essential for her sanity to think about beauty as more than eye value. For that's all she was to many people, beautiful at the surface. That was the reason she was married after all.

"Do you have a vehicle to take us to my home? I believe my husband took the car we used to get here" she said thinking on the subject of leaving the club and perhaps being able to drink from her own wine collection and lounge about with her new dangerous stranger bodyguard.

When the woman only looked at him with curiosity instead of fear he was all the more intrigued with her mind. As beautiful as she was, she was obviously more than that. She was actually thinking instead of throwing herself at him like a cheap toy. At least she could uphold conversation better than most in the club. As a mobster it was disappointing the lack thereof intellect that surrounded him.

"We should leave Angel. There are a lot of things to show you" he told her eyeing his assistant across the room. The man nodded at him before walking out. Being the mob leader had its benefits. Like someone to cater to ever whim. Perhaps that's why he was always bored. People were boring. There were no interesting figures that could entertain him. Women came and went. Situations arose and were solved.

At least she had some promise. Something about her stuck out to him like a sore thumb, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Damien stood up and the bartender didn't look at him, but nodded. Paying for drinks would be a seamless transaction eventually, but no one dared to ask the mobster for money. Gently presenting his almost white hands to her he could only smirk.
"Are you ready then? The limo should be pulled up by now"

He looked pleased with her response to leave the club and Cami finished off her drink before standing up from her seat. "We should leave Angel. There are a lot of things to show you." He told her, sending a glance across the room to someone else. Camille was intrigued to say the least. She wanted to know exactly what he had to show her. She knew it was wrong, she really shouldn't be leaving with him. Not only was he an incredibly dangerous mobster, but she'd be disobeying Xander directly, and cheating on him. Still, she couldn't help herself. Xander was fun sometimes, but for the most part, he bored her, especially lately. Speaking with this dark stranger at the bar had been far more thrilling then anything her and Xander had done in the past few months.

The man he'd glanced at turned and left the club immediately and she turned her eyes back on him. "Are you ready then? The limo should be pulled up by now." He said, making her smile. He rode around in a limo. It was impressive to say the least. She'd always been attracted to money and power, but she'd never really been with anyone who had true power. Only a very important man rode around in a limousine. Suddenly, she couldn't wait to leave with him. Xander was completely forgotten and all she wanted to do was see where this man lived and know who he was.

Camille nodded simply in response to his question, grabbing her purse in one hand and his hand in the other, letting him lead her out the door to the limo that was parked out front. She got in with him, sitting close, crossing one leg over the other. "Impressive, you must be a very important man." She breathed with a smirk, referring to the limousine, of course. "Tell me Sir, exactly how powerful are you?" She pried, raising an eyebrow and leaning in a little closer. She knew he was a mobster, that was obvious, because of where she'd met him and the way people acted around him, but she didn't know much else about him because he'd been reluctant to tell her. Still, she couldn't help but want to know about him, he was the type of man who had dark secrets and she wanted to know every one of them.

"Classic literature as in...The Great Gatsby or more Shakespearean? Both beautiful works of art. It really is amazing about what one can tell when analyzing literature." She said, sounding very intelligent, but at the same time, not too interested. It was the way she spoke often around her husband and his business associates. It was her job to impress them without being too dazzling or pulling their attention off what mattered, Marcus and his business. She didn't have to talk to him like one of Marcus's cohorts, but he understood why she did. It was just her life, she was used to men only being interested in her beauty and not her brains.

"Do you have a vehicle to take us to my home? I believe my husband took the car we used to get here." Isabella asked him and honestly, Drake was glad. He wanted to get out of there and spend some time alone with her. She was beautiful and intoxicating, and he wanted to know more about her. Besides, he was sick of the club. Clubbing and parties just really weren't his thing. He went if he had to for work, or to pick up women, but otherwise, he really wasn't used to socializing. His line of work made for a rather solitarily life and he preferred it that way. It was hard to interact with others when they're too busy being terrified of you.

Drake nodded and downed his drink. "Yeah, my car is parked right out front." He said with a smile as he stood. He glanced around for Damien briefly, thinking he would check in with him one more time before leaving, but when he spotted him, Damien was making his way towards the exit with a woman and he decided he'd just go ahead and leave. He lead Isabella out to his expensive black sports car. Being a hit man was a rather stressful job to say the least, but it paid very well, so he could afford the car easily.

Growing up in the lap of luxury she wasn't surprised when he led her out to a luxury vehicle. For his occupation, he had to get paid the very best. It was a risky trade off - his line of work. Either he succeeded or went to prison. She had done plenty while married to her husband that would send her to the slammer, but never have she directly killed someone. Gently she opened the passenger side door gathering her dress into the space.

Isabella couldn't remember the last time she had be in a persons car that wasn't her husbands or their personal driver. Being under the wing of a new person was exciting in a strange way. To finally do something different.

"Mr.Giovanni, have you never thought about switching occupations? There is nothing wrong with what you do, however, the legal complications seem in my mind out way the potential benefits" her voice was soft in the car for she didn't need to raise it due to the people they were once around.

Her question caused a brow to raise as he did. Damien took a drink from the limo bar as played with it in one hand. He couldn't help but smirk at the girl. How innocent and unknowing. Delightfully untainted to the darker side of the field. "How powerful I am, is none of your concern Angel. I'm powerful enough to do what I must" he spoke his voice a low rasp.

A hand went to rest on her raised knee and he smiled. "Why would a woman like you, care for such information?" his grip tightened slightly. While he could almost read her, someone in his position could never be too careful. She could be working for a number of people that hated him. Call him paranoid, but he did not make it this far to be taken down by a beautiful lady. "Angel the first thing you need to know about me, is don't ask questions"

Cami watched as he took a drink from the small limo bar, a smirk on his lips as he played with it. She could tell already that her question had amused him, but he had no intention of answering it. "How powerful I am, is none of your concern Angel. I'm powerful enough to do what I must." He said, voice low and she just smirked and rolled her eyes. His elusiveness was quite frustrating. She still couldn't believe she'd gotten into a limo with a man who's name she didn't even know, but she couldn't help herself. This man was too intoxicating to refuse, despite having a boyfriend and knowing absolutely nothing about him, she wanted him.

He placed a hand on her knee, which was exposed through the very high slit in her dress. She couldn't explain it, but the moment his skin touched hers, it was like there was an electric spark between them. Something told her she was about get herself in over her head. This man could easily become addicting, she wouldn't be able to stop herself from coming back for more. Even just a simple hand resting on her knee set her skin on fire. She wanted his hands all over her body.

"Why would a woman like you, care for such information?" He asked then, grip tightening ever so slightly on her knee, letting her know she should be careful with her answer. She raised a brow at his suspicious tone. She hadn't exactly asked a typical question, but then again, she wasn't a typical girl. She may be innocent, for the most part, but she had a deep appreciation for the darker things in life that most didn't know about. "Angel the first thing you need to know about me, is don't ask questions." He told her and she just smirked. She wanted to know more about him, but if he wanted to keep her in the dark, she would wait. She'd get what she wanted out of him eventually, she always did.

"Don't worry, I'm not a threat, I'm just attracted to powerful men." Camille breathed softly. She couldn't resist any longer, she had to know what his lips tasted like. She reached out, placing a hand on his jaw before leaning in close and pressing her lips against his. She couldn't hold back the soft moan that escaped her lips. Kissing him was incredible. Sure, it sounded silly, but it honestly felt like fate had played a part in their meeting because the kiss just felt right.

Drake watched her as she got into the car, a look of slight excitement on her face as he started the car and pulled out of the club's parking lot. He couldn't tell if she was excited to be with him, or to not have her husband around for once, but either way he liked it. More often then not, she was simply perfectly composed and collected, always answering questions with just enough interest to amuse, but not enough to excite. He was glad she was finally free of that for a little while. She didn't have to be arm candy anymore, at least not while her husband was gone.

"Mr.Giovanni, have you never thought about switching occupations? There is nothing wrong with what you do, however, the legal complications seem in my mind out way the potential benefits" She asked, voice soft, and the question sort of surprised him. No one had ever asked him that before, and to be honest, he hadn't ever given it much thought. Sure, there was a time when he was young, where he'd wanted to be something miraculous, like an astronaut or a secret agent, but those were the dreams of a child.

Besides, his father had quickly straightened him out. He'd been killing with his father since he was thirteen. His first solo kill had been at sixteen. There had never really been any other option for him. His path had been chosen for him by his father a long time ago and he'd dutifully followed it ever since. Finally, after considering her question for a a moment in silence, Drake shook his head.

"No." He answered simply with a shrug. "I've never really put much thought into the idea of doing something less dangerous." He said, glancing at her briefly. It was so hard to keep his eyes on the road with such a beautiful passenger. "I'm good at what I do, and I'm not totally sure I'm qualified to do much else." He sighed as he drove. "Besides," he said with a smirk. "If I ever got into any sort of legal trouble, Damien protects his assets." He told her as he glanced her way again. "His lawyers would have my name cleared in minutes." He shrugged and it was true. Damien could afford the best lawyers in the world and Drake was too important to his operation, and too good at what he did to let him go to prison.
