Hero Factory

Superman, batman, captain America, spider man, wonder woman and cat woman...what have they all got in common?

They're super human? -That's quite observant of you. But did you notice how they're all depicted as super *heroes*
The thing that comics, films and stories forget is that...

not every super is born a hero.

Theres an academy for the...extra special. Like the lovely school in x-men but thats just a film. The academy is a little more realistic i.e without jets popping out of the basket ball court. This academies targets are quite simple to help it's students learn to control their abilities and to guide them into the path of 'goodness'. With great power comes great responsibility and the challenge is to help these youngsters realise that before they injure themselves and others.

Academy appearance

They are all very powerful in their various ways and it's important to keep them all under control with their teenage hormones rocketing all over the place.

The youths that live there range from 10 to 20 but the students we'll be playing are all between 16-19. Most students are runaways from where ever they originated from. Some simply left home after discovering their abilities, others were kicked out by frightened guardians and then there's a few who were literally on the run after causing scenes in public places.

All taken in for their own safety as well as the safety of the public the academy have their work cut out for them as some students already hold grudges towards public society for segregating them.

After a public supernatural incident occurs at a school two students are picked up on the run. Sent to the academy for their own safety they join the 300 other students at the hero factory.

Only problem is...one of the two students...is human.

Story line

Basically a public incident occurs between two students in a class room. They argue, bad things happen, kaboom! And all that jazz. Everyone present points the finger at the two students for causing the incident and they go on the run before the police, teachers and what not can catch ahold of them. They don’t get far before the government pick them up and send them off to the academy for safe keeping like the others as the government funds it. Only problem is…only one of the students caused the incident, the other is merely a human in the wrong place at the wrong time.

DRAMA!!

The story evolves around the human student surviving in an academy built for the kind of people you only dream are real. Unknown to all will the human student be able to get their head around the fact they’re surrounded by the makings of super heroes and could well be one or will they realise they’re nought but a fragile field mouse in a den of lions and end up broken beneath a clawed paw.

Please fill in the character skeleton in first person. This way we'll all get a better taste of your characters personality before the role-play begins.
Code: Select all

Image should be in Your character profile somewhere.

What's your name:

How old are you:

Tell me a bit about yourself: give me a lovely in-depth description of their personality, what they like, don't like, how they are around others, any quirks they have etc.

So what are your abilities other than being drop dead godly: give a description of what they're capable of and maybe any troubles they're having with their power/s

How did you come to be at the academy: Most were on the run remember so keep that in your mind. You might want to add in when they first realised they had powers. Was it quite sudden or had they known for years and slipped up.

Toggle Rules

The obvious rules are well…obvious. No god-modding. It easy to get carried away when your character is powerful. Yeah they may have insane abilities that could be used to take over the world BUT you’re only young, you’re still learning to cope with your abilities so it’s safe to say your abilities are more a danger to you at the moment than a danger to anyone else.
example, you can walk through things? What if you lose focus and end up trapped inside a wall? See what I mean.

literacy is very important. Decent sized posts are desired. A few spelling mistakes are acceptable…I mean everyone makes them but if your actually terrible…use spell check.

I’m not about to make a rule that you have to post so many times a day or week or whatever but please keep the ball rolling :)

swearing and sexual references will be likely to pop up at times. I mean were role-playing an academy full of 16- 19 year olds of course there’s going to be lust, love, and bad language flying about. The importance is to keep it under control and not go over the top.

-Realistic characters!! Please! Theres bound to be large egos in the academy considering they’re all power charged but give your character some serious thought before making them. Make them the awesomest character you’ve ever made!!

-Powers should be put in the ooc before you add them to your character. Just so I can give the all clear but I’m sure your ideas will be fine :) let’s not have too many people with the same power though. Bit boring if were all the same.

Most importantly have fun :) let’s make this an awesome role-play that is the envy of all.

Character reservations can be made but get your character profiles up as soon as you can. Reservations do not mean you’ve got the spot your profiles will decide that. Face claims are merely faces I’d like to see in the role-play, if you don’t fancy playing them then reserve the places that have face claims of your choice. NO ANIME.

Any questions Ooc me or pm me :) I’m am your G-mummy therefore I’m here to help guide you through this role-play whirlwind adventure :)

Jenny

Jenny sat on the squeaky leather seats of the stretch jaguar that had picked her and Aurora Up from the army base they'd been detained on for the past 92 hours.

Her life had been turned upside and shaken till there was nothing left but her. The only thing that linked her to her previous home was the mysterious girl seated beside her. The one she *thought *she knew.

Tucking a strand of rich red hair behind her ear she stared out of the window as the tires of the car hit gravel. A magnificent building stood amongst finely trimmed lawns and woodland like a sanctuary tucked away by nature. She could make out others walking about the grounds. It enhanced her nerves.

The car came to a halt. Without further instruction the both of them sat in silence for a moment. Jenny glanced at Aurora for a little guidance before she opened her car door and got out. Back at the army base they had explained how the two of them would be staying at a special boarding school out in the country for a while...to protect them both. It all sounded so complicated and surreal at the time but now it was more surreal than anything else.

They'd been checked. Clothes and baggage had been sent but she didn't know if it was her things or just items the army had prepared. Looking to Aurora she waited for the girl to make the next move on where they should go. No doubt she'd been listening more than Jenny had. She'd seemed calm enough throughout the entire thing.

Yuki was happy, for once. All was tranquil around the school entrance. He was sat next to the entrance on a flat Pedastal. He always wondered why they were there. Perhaps, decoration? He dismissed the thought, and simply made small sphere of snow around himself, a few gaps for air and visibliity. He kept the snow in perfect condition until he saw a car.

He glared at the thing, mainly at the driver, who he disliked. It wasn't his fault if the car was too hot and the driver was freezing, Yuki only wanted comfort. Yuki, being appointed as greeter for new students, allowed the snow to evaporate, and he walked over to the car.

He placed his hand on the Handle to open the car door and a sudden amount of discomfort shot through him. The heat of the metal was going to boil him. Yuki pulled the door open and attempted to make his cold expression a bit warmer by smiling. "I take it you two are the new students?"

Yuki was impressed by them already. They didn't react too quickly when he opened the door. Smart. He thought, his lips mouthing it almost. "Well now, we haven't got all day. I'm Tenshi No Yuki, but you can call me Yuki, or Snowy. Whatever takes your fancy. Now, as it's my job to well.. Greet you, i'll be showing you around. I trust you weren't treated well with the Army, eh? They never understand we are Delicate Creatures!" He continued, putting emphasis on Delicate Creatures to the driver. "Now, come on, Ladies. Right this way."" He grinned, extending a hand to them.

It was never supposed to come to this, in retrospect, no one should have known. One spends half ones life trying to hide the true colors of oneself when one day it all falls to pieces, and the person behind the mask is revealed. No one can truly know how hard one works to create a false reality, until they have to do it themselves. While it isn't something one would want to do to deceive others, it would perhaps be something one would do to forget, or protect those around them. People did like what they didn't know or understand, or they were afraid of it. Society never seemed to have an open mind to anything. In addition, society was cruel, behind closed doors, people were cruel. People were often fake beings in the presence of other people, and their true selves in the presence of those they knew best. This was known all too well. Would history now resurface? Yes, an explanation was needed, things very well couldn't be left as is. A friendship would soon be tested, that is, if said friendship still existed.

Looking back, she knew it wasn't a good idea, but at the same time, she had no regrets. She could paint the picture over and over again, the one friend she had managed to hold onto, the person whom she had actual watched change throughout the years she knew her. Definately not for the worst at all, in a way she rubbed off on her, a little. But she was only one person, and she had been surrounded by many people that she shouldn't have been around. School was not a place that watched over you twenty four seven, although usually it seemed that way, everyone knew the ways of getting around that. The blind spots of the school, so to speak. As soon as her friend began to get pushed around, no, it went further than that, she was getting harassed, and things had gotten to a point where someone was not going to get out of the situation injured. A loyal friend wouldn't be able to help themselves, the natural response was to stand up for her - which she did, until things got out of control.

She would admit to anyone, she could have a mouth on her at most moments, but lots of people didn't like being stood up to. Long story short, when things took a turn for the worse, she couldn't stop herself. Fluorescent semi translucent lights connected some of the boys, like shackles. Some of them were simply tortured with a sense of gravity people's bodies couldn't handle, while one was thrown into a wall, the other one on the other side of the link would feel it too. And their pain, vice versa. In the end, everyone but she and her friend lay on the floor, worthy of the attention of medical help. What made things worse was, they had been seen. And that was how this situation started.

The tensions was able to be cut with a knife by now, Jenny wasn't talking - though the men in 'camouflage' were. In fact, they didn't shut up. Going on about things that would happen from now on, where they would be going, what was and wasn't allowed from this point on. Explaining things she didn't think Jenny would grasp just yet, or perhaps she didn't hear anything at all. For a moment she looked to be drowning everything out, or perhaps deep in thought - she hoped it wasn't shock at least. She had created this situation for the both of them, and she had to adapt, while it was something she did all her life, Jenny was different. When dragging another person into something, one cannot think of oneself anymore, but that person in which they care about - which at this point was Jenny. She didn't know if in Jenny's mind, she was still someone she still looked at as a friend, a stranger, or a monster. The last two were most likely, she thought.

When they arrived in front of a school, she frowned a bit. A boarding school, where they were supposed to be 'safe'. "You know, it would be funny if you had a bunch of mes running around in there." she said sarcastically. The lack of response made her stomach turn, Jenny would not like this. The academy was lovely, looking like millions if not billions of dollars went into making and secluding this place, that was another thing she noticed, it was very secluded. What were they hiding this school from, if she had been brought there, what kind of people lay inside already? As the car came to a halt, she stepped outside along with Jenny, the two of them being searched and their belongings being taken. "Hey back off! What the hell kind of person do you think I am!?" She shouted, pushing one of them away. Aurora had on a short black lacey dress, what could she have been hiding in there? They were given new bags of belongings, she wondered if what was in them. They even checked her knee high boots, it was irritating.

When she stepped out she walked beside Jenny who seemed to look for some guidance of sorts. "Everything will work itself out, I'm sorry I dragged you into this." She then took notice of a boy - a electric blue haired boy coming towards them. He introduced himself as Yuki. He claimed it to be his job to get everyone settled in and show them around. "Delicate creatures? I think maybe you're referring to yourself." Aurora was definately not herself, well no, she was herself, just less - friendly and kind at the moment. "And yes, I guess we were, under the circumstances." she looked at the boy's hand and back up at him, clearly not in the mood to shake hands or make friends, she walked with the boy making sure Jenny was following. "I take it there is something interesting about every student here?" She asked, more rhetorically - glancing at Jenny. "Say, are you okay?" she asked, noticing the boy looked a bit...well she wasn't sure. Like he was about to fry, but it wasn't that hot.

"Not one for handshakes, then?" Yuki frowned, retracting his hand. He turned and walked with them. "Uh.. Is that a rhetorical question, Miss? But yes, i would say nobody in this school is normal. And neither are you two, or else you shouldn't be here. For example..." Yuki said, stopping for a moment and biting his finger, drawing blood. He made a cat with his bloody finger on the floor. "See that symbol on the floor?" He muttered, making a handsign. "Tora." The cat sudenly jumped up, in 3-D form, only it was made of snow and ice. He also made it snow a few seconds after. "I'm weird because i can make it snow and conjure up.. Well, things like that."

"Eheh.. No. The delicate joke back there.. That was referencing to the fact i control snow, and my name means The snow of angels, so... I can't really take heat well. That car was cold metal, right? It was BOILING to me. That's why my Robes here are Insulated, and so is my room and my desks. Cool, eh? So.." He continued, opening the front doors slowly. "Welcome to the Hero Factory, Girls." He grinned, gesturing around the first room. "The stairs on the left are your rooms, i think you'll be staying next to Sparky." Yuki said slightly coldly. "Oh, my apologies. I meant Amber. We're friends. I call her Sparky. Anyway.."

"If i may be so bold, Madams, but what are your names?" He muttered, almost inaudibly. Yuki was such a happy person one minute, and quiet and evil the next.

Amber opened the door of her room dressed in her usual attire, a dark purple hoodie with Resistance to Wear light blue tight jeans with purple and black Nike sneakers. Hero Factory didn't have a dress code which made it pretty laid back. Amber liked it here, the people are nice (well usually) and the teachers are fine. Everybody has an ability which can sometimes lead to problems but usually the school keeps everybody under control.

Walking along the corridor Amber heard her friend Yuki's voice. "Oh, my apologies. I meant Amber. We're friends. I call her Sparky. Anyway... If i may be so bold, Madams, but what are your names?" She smiled while speeding up her walk, she guessed he was talking to a few new students. That was his job and he did it regularly. Well regularly enough for Amber to know what to do.

She walked down the stairs he just pointed to and appeared behind him. The two girls he was talking to seem pretty nice. She decided to meet and greet with Yuki, his methods were pretty boring. "Hey girls Snowy boring the hell out of you? I bet, he does that to most people. Only kidding Snow-Ball." She smiled and punched his shoulder playfully. "My name is Amber or Sparky as a few call me. You could probably guess what I can do due to my nickname." She glanced at Yuki, he probably wasn't happy about what she was doing but it was funny so she continued. "So welcome to the Hero Factory if you have any questions feel free to ask, we don't bite." She smiled again, hopefully her bubbly introduction showed she was a friendly person and was someone who you could talk to easily.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEE--

Cambria bolted out of bed at the sound of the alarm, a "HOLY CRAP!" escaping her mouth, and her hand outstretched. By being outstretched, she accidentally grabbed the cord of the alarm clock and tugged it out of the wall, thus causing the incessant beeping noise to cease. But her body didn't cease its movement forward, and so she crashed over the side of the bed and landed face first on the floor.

Laying on the floor for a moment, she let her fingers, which were clamped around the wire of the alarm clock, slowly relax themselves until the wire dropped from her grasp. Then, a low and steady moan escaped from her lips, as she slowly pushed herself off the floor and into a more comforatable sitting position.

She was no longer asleep; that much was for sure.

Scratching the top of her head, she let her fingers lazily brush through her bedridden hair. "I should probably plug that stupid alarm clock back in..." she mumbled to herself. But she stood from the floor and headed towards the bathroom to freshen up, leaving the alarm clock in a mess of wire on the floor.

It wasn't long before she was ready to actually start thinking about the day. The female found herself mumbling meaningless nothings to herself as she made her way over to sit on the edge of her bed. Staring at the wall for a moment, she began the process of actually waking up.

Shaking her head, she zombie-walked to her closet, and began digging around to find something suitable to wear for the day. She wasn't too focused on looking totally awesome; she had other things to worry about at that moment. Like, where in the seven hells had her straightener gotten off to?

-------------------------

The day was moving on without her, whether she liked it or not... and Cambria knew it. Finally up and about, she walked out her room and off on a mission to find something tasty to eat.

Rounding a corner, she noticed a group of people standing not too far ahead of her. Two of the people she recognized - Yuki and Amber - and the other two were... well, completely blank slates to her. She had no idea.

'New students?' she thought to herself, but felt a rumbling in her stomach and decided to approach that topic at a later time. Right now, it was time to get food.

Moving past the group, she rushed through a greeting as she headed off towards the dining area, careful not to clip anyone with her wings on the way past. "Morning, guys. Can't stay and chat. Need food." It wasn't really a proper conversation, and she knew she would apologize about it later, but her mind was preoccupied with the prospects of fruit and waffles, and other things of that sort. She couldn't help herself in the mornings; she was a zombie - at least mentally - until she had woken up fully and had something to eat.

Yuki turned and saw Amber, and possibly one of the biggest smiles ever seen was on his face. "Hey, Sparky-" He was cut short by her taking over his job, and calling him boring.

"Y'see, Sparky, That's random." He grunted, looking at the other two. "Well, i don't bite.. much.." He whispered, his grin forming again. This time when he grinned, all of his sharp, Vampire like teeth were seen.

"Oh, hey Cambria - Ah. Mission for food. Save me a bowl of Ramen, will ya?!" He shouted after her, waving in her direction.

(( Three things, One, Ramen is a delicious bowl of Noodles often served with Fish (Prawns, mainly) or meat. Two, Yuki isn't a Vamp, just has weird teeth. And three, Sorreh for the short post! ))

Aurora watched as the boy created a cat-like creature out of the ground from snow, it was cute and a fun ability to say the least, but she was worried about Jenny. She could only imagine how heat would get to someone who possessed control over the cold, how one would feel like they were getting boiled alive. She took note that this place seemed to meet the needs of every student, adapting to their needs and their abilities. When Yuki said welcome to the Hero Factory, however, she was less than amused. An academy a disguise for a place training super heroes? She thought this was some sort of refuge or hiding place, it had to be a joke. She looked up the stairs, wondering what this sparky would be like, who she could only assume was associated with lightning or something similar. She watched his aura as he spoke of her, he seemed to be fond of her, but as he continued speaking, that light aura got darker, and darker - never a pleasant thing to see in a person. She would have to keep her eye on these people, all of them.

She remembered he asked for their names, "This is Jenny, she said, motioning to her friend, and my name is Aurora." Just then a girl came down the stairs, another one with electric blue hair, dressed quite casually. She introduced herself as Amber, Aurora smiled at her, she assumed her Sparky, and she was right. "Not boring us at all, or well I can't really speak for Jenny." Another girl rushed down the stairs, such stunning beauty and purity, her aura was a pure white color, she'd never seen it before - she had also never seen a winged person. Her eyes followed the girl as she rushed passed them to get food. "I've never seen someone like her." she said to...no one, referring to the girl's aura. The largest white aura in the history of auras, or so Aurora thought to herself. "The Hero Factory, that's not really a pleasant name, what exactly is done here?" Were they really in control of the people here? There had to be mishaps, this was overall dangerous in its own right. They had just come from such a situation. "We didn't leave our old school just to go to a place where we - well..." Aurora stopped speaking. This didn't really apply to Jenny at all, she had one nothing wrong.

"So what exactly goes on now? This cannot function like a normal school, if its even a school." Appearances were ever so deceiving, and she knew it. She hoped Jenny was taking this all in well, because it wasn't flying with her. She could see this place falling into shambles, and she decided she didn't trust this whole idea yet.

Sylar wandered absentmindedly down the hall, a book propped in one hand, eyes glued to it. He did not need to look where he was going - he had walked these hallways enough times that he knew exactly how many steps, by feel, it took to reach the top of the stairs, and in which direction. He walked steadily, unfaltering, shoes tapping softly on the staircase as he descended, eyes never wavering from the pages of his book. He did not read the book - no, he had no time for novels - but he found that walking around making no eye-contact was generally considered rude. If there was anything he did not want, it was to make enemies of an entire class of superheroes. He was strong, but only in his mind. His weak body severely handicapped him. He could not fight this school. Not yet.

And so he walked the halls with his nose stuck in a book, making contact with no one.

When he heard the soft voices of newcomers, however, he raised his gaze to stare down upon the lobby towards which he descended. Yuki, and Sparky, and two girls he did not recognize stood together, talking about the school. About its function. Sylar's lips twitched up in amusement. This was why he had left his rooms, which were really more like a private library than a place to sleep. He enjoyed having advantages over others. It was best to gain that advantage before the girls found out about his powers, and began trying to avoid him.

Hitting the lobby floor, he tucked his book under his arm and approached the little group. When he spoke, it was in a voice which nearly whispered, just barely loud enough for the group to hear him. He did not need to be ostentatious. He just needed them to look up, to meet his gaze for one short instant, and then he would know everything which was running through their head right now. He would know their powers.

He would know why they were here.

Yuki smiled as the girls disclosed their names. "Aurora and Jenny, hm? Nice to meet you." He muttered, pulling his hood down. In all of his glory, his eyes were now visible. They were a piercing sky blue, an they didn't just look at you. They looked through you. Anoher one of Yuki's abilities, although very minor, is being able to see what someone could do. For example, in a fight - He would know their next move before they could. He sensed Sylar coming down the hall. "Hey, Sylar. These are the newbies, as you have guessed." He muttered, then looked at him. His eye saw something different.

"Hang on. One of you isn't normal. Sylar wouldn't have tensed up just there. Ah, i see it." He muttered, looking at Jenny. "So, Aurora - What can you do?"

"The Hero Factory operates like any other school, except for us, classes are redundant. We prefer to do training for our abilities, or if you're like Sylar here, you can focus on studying. Personally, i prefer spending my days alone in my..." He stopped all of a sudden, not wanting to share what he was going to say. He looked at Jenny again, his visible eye turning into strange colours. The eye white turned into a pitch black, and his iris turned into a red. There were three Tomoe, circles with points coming out of them on his eye.

"You may want to be careful here. Some of us, are intolerant to liars." He whispered, his gaze set on Jenny. "Especially me. I can see right through you."

Jenny followed Aurora closely to the extent she was practically mounting the girls back. Ignoring the offered hand her greens eyes took in the blue haired boy who introduced himself as 'Yuki'. He seemed strange to her from the word go so when he started flicking snowflakes about and creating animated snow sculptures Jenny shit herself.
The red head was absolutely horror struck by the display and shared a desperate, wide eyed glance with Aurora.

What was going on here. Either she just witnessed the impossible for the second time this week or there was some crazy optical illusions going down. Jenny felt the temptation to feel her forehead and walk away from the scene purely to wash her hands of the past week's sheer madness but moving away would mean severing her contact with her grounded root- Aurora.

So instead she tagged along behind her friend clenching and unclenching her fists hoping to release some of her anxiety.
Yuki led the two or them through the front entrance of the Academy gesturing to various areas of the building as well as mentioning who they were roomed nearby. The reminder made her realise the idea of staying here had become the least appealing thing she'd even been confronted with.
Fortunately Aurora was remaining a cool cucumber and so when Yuki asked their names she replied for the both of them. Jenny could barely get a splutter out. She was still shell shocked by the performance outside. She barely smiled at her name and whatever remnant of a smile there was faded when another blue haired individual sailed down the stairs.

Great another human slushy maker.

The girl seemed to have a bright personality and apparently she was the one they were supposedly roomed nearby. Sparky or Amber. Jenny managed to squeeze out a slightly more convincing smile when the girl didn't spring a heart attack on her with some insane trick. She couldn't say the same for the next girl to appear.
She came bulldozing down the stairs shouting out greetings and something about breakfast. That wasn't what snared Jenny's heart in her throat though...it was the WINGS. She had wings. Huge...feather soft looking wings. Jenny went as stiff as a bored when the sweet smelling girl whisked past bird limbs and all.

Her eyes burnt into the back of Aurora's head with ill-mannered intent. What had this girl gotten her into!! She'd only just been coming to terms with what she'd seen back at school and now this? Surely she wasn't the...only normal one here.

But what if she was.

She'd have to blend in. If this school was for people like Aurora she couldn't reveal that she was...normal. She just couldn't. She'd play it cool until she found a teacher or someone of high authority then after explaining the facts they'd remove her from this house of horrors and pop her right back where she should be...in reality.

"Hey sylar-"

Jenny's eyes darted to yet another new comer. Another boy...he seemed more reserved than the others judging from his approach.

"Hang on one of you isn't normal. Sylar wouldn't have tensed up there otherwise. Ah I see it."

Jenny's eyes shot to Yuki at his remark. How could either of them know. Was this Sylar psychic. Was Yuki a psychic of psychic. No maybe he just presumed one of them was different from this Sylar's reactions, but she hadn't noticed any tenses. Her eyes met with Yuki and in response she tilted her chin up in defence. She wouldn't let on she was normal but if there was a psychic in this bunch it was game over rather soon.

Yuki turned his attention rather quickly to Aurora and asked what she was capable of doing. Jenny was perfectly capable of accounting for that one.
Clearing her throat rather timidly she smiled faintly. "You should see her...she's amazing" she croaked sharing a glance with her special friend.
There was no doubt even though Aurora had been hiding something big (and apparently like changing) from her...she'd stood up for her when it mattered most. Like a true friend.

When Yuki mentioned about liars and landed his gaze on her Jenny looked back with hard eyes. "I'm sure there's a few people round here who can see right through others...y'know psychics and all that" she responded evenly. The game wasn't up yet.

Yuki laughed slightly. "Indeed, Jenny. Although, some are better at this game than others." He grinned, shoving Sylar affectionately. "So.. Yeah. Sparky can take care of you. Hmmph." He grunted, his eyes turning into their blue and he pulled his hood up. "Sparky, Sylar, i'm off to my.. Area, we'll call it. You know where to find me."

Yuki smiled as snowflakes appeared from nowhere and coverged on him. He disppeared with them, and reappeared in a small cave with a white shrine in the center, and white scrolls all over. All of them had different Kanji on them. He sat down and opened one that had the Kanji for Heaven on it. The walls suddenly lit up, and the parchment was transferred from the scroll to the Wall.

He sat back and started making different handsigns.
"Bird (酉, Tori)
Boar (亥, I)
Dog (戌, Inu)
Dragon (辰, Tatsu)
Ox (丑, Ushi)
Tiger (寅, Tora)
Snake (巳, Mi)
Rat (子, Ne)
Horse (午, Uma)
Monkey (申, Saru)
Hare (卯, U)
Ram (未, Hitsuji)" He muttered, afterwards placing his hands on the scroll, and snow and ice flying throughout the cavern. "See, this is why i don't get out much."

Aurora could feel Jenny behind her, clinging to her like glue. She was now so close behind her, one could maybe assume there really was some super glue incident. This made her want nothing more than to just drag her away from everyone, if there was another display of powers, another look what I can do - it probably wouldn't sit well with Jenny. And why would it? This kind of stuff was only seen in movies, she was only used to it for the obvious reasons. Another person seemed to have approached, they were extremely soft spoken, but in this moment, they weren't the person that interested her.

"Hey, Sylar. These are the newbies, as you have guessed." As you have guessed? She thought to herself.

Everyone seemed to be sizing them up, bombarding them, behind the friendly faces - if they could be called that, they had to know everything about them. Human nature was so nosy sometimes, a person had to know everything, had to judge a book by its cover. And if they didn't figure something out right away, they would create their own little story and label a person with it. But her, it had to do with abilities, she glanced behind her a bit at Jenny, whom shouldn't be here at all. There was an eeriness that came from the boy next to her, people were so deceiving - sometimes. The boy knew one of them was normal and one of them wasn't, what the hell is normal anyways. He also claimed to know which person that was - and he did. She watched his eyes change colors, and his aura seemed to change with it. She heard Jenny comment on her, and her expression went cold. She went from light hearted to this, in probably a span of thirty seconds.

"Nothing interesting." she said, grinning. She didn't care to elaborate on Jenny's comment, maybe the all seer here could see her powers. It didn't really mattered, they were stuck here it seemed. That was unless, they should plan some escape for themselves. Doubtful, however, they would be all over that shit. However, she did take this as a personal challenge for sometime in the future. She was right about the school, it was centered around the students training their abilities, which technically could do several things, birth super heroes, birth super villains, create power hunger psychos - if they weren't already - the list then continued to grow in her head and she decided not to think about it anymore. "You don't like liars? Well I'm glad you can see through all the bullshit then." Aurora was practically in the boy's face, but stepped away, her interest was now the other boy, who was now made out to be some kind of psychic, or someone who could see people. Aurora never liked when people bothered her about her history, about herself. She seemed to step into the inevitable. One of two things could be done, she could try and avoid this boy forever, or even both of the boys, or....

"So you like to pry your nose in where it doesn't belong? And you enjoy yourself am I right?" She looked at the boy then, walking up to him - hoping that Jenny wasn't behind her. "Well come on, I guess if this was my ability that would be all I do with my life too." she walked closer to him. "Pry into other people's business, I'm such an exciting person." She sounded sarcastic and vindictive all at once. A pink chain appeared between her and the boy, it was only fair, she could share this all seeing bullshit. She wanted Jenny to run, she wanted her to get out of here, but in the least, she wanted her to hide. Perhaps he was capable of more, so much more, the tone Snowy had took with him before he walked away made her think that there was some kind of negative use behind those powers, and there was nothing she hated more. Rainbows, sunshine, and butterflies. Poptarts, pistachios, and peanut butter crackers. She thought in a singsong voice, she then started thinking of music. I like big butts and I cannot lie! Them other brothers can't deny! And the song went on and on. She imagined herself dancing to it - doing the chicken dance for some reason.

Mel woke up unusually early. She lay in bed trying to determine what exactly had woken her, but there wasn't really anything happening. She tried to fall back asleep for a while before giving up and slipping out of bed. She quickly dressed and slipped out of her room, looking up and down the hall to see if anyone else was up. Since all was still, she quickly and silently walked around to the library. Maybe she could get a good start on that book she was looking at the other day. Mel soon came to the door and pushed it open with a small creak, letting it close behind her as she breathed in the dusty smell of the still, dark, medium sized library.

"Now where was it?" Mel said softly to herself, walking further in until she found the correct aisle. She then grabbed the book and sat down in a small windowsill that couldn't be seen from the door and that had a view over the front drive of the school. She had spent many hours there. She quickly began reading and was soon immersed in the tale of a princess who ended up having to save her knight in shining armor instead of him saving her. Mel was enjoying the princess's sarcastic and outspoken point of view. What if I was like that, she thought, closing the book slowly with her thumb saving her place. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a car coming up the drive. She glanced over to see the sun already up. It was already much later in the morning. It was almost time for breakfast. She looked down, watching as Yuki got up to greet the people getting out of the car. It was two girls. They were probably new students.

I wonder what their stories are, she shook her head. Some of those who ended up here had sad, and even tragic stories. Mel had ended up hearing many of them though she wouldn't be the one to ask about that kind of thing. It was probably because people tended to forget she was in the room at all. She had heard many interesting stories that way, not always just about student's previous lives either. Her attention turned back to the newcomers as she watched them walk in, Yuki trailing behind them. One of the girls had red hair and the other had blond hair. They both looked around Yuki's age. Now Mel would have to get used even more people. She sighed. She would have to meet them eventually. Maybe at breakfast. She still had time though. She read another couple pages before she stopped. She found a piece of paper to use as a bookmark, put the book down on the windowsill, and left the library.

As Mel walked downstairs, she noticed Yuki, Amber, and Sylar standing around talking to the new girls. The atmosphere seemed unusually tense as Yuki walked away. She stood where she was, peering around the corner, waiting for the group to leave the hallway before she went to breakfast.

Aeon was vaguely aware of the fact that there were new students supposedly arriving today. She had awoken early because she had a busy day planned - she had hoped to get in at least one nice, long walk in the woods beyond the school; this included picking berries, taking pictures, and hopefully finding enough dandelion roots to make tea for her friends. There was a doubt in her mind as to whether she wanted to meet the new students. People had a tendency to come in with a poor attitude, due to their circumstances, and she found that it was usually better to give these people time to collect their thoughts before thrusting yet another new figure into their lives. It was her way of being sensitive to their needs.
As she gently and delicately pulled her orange hair into a low ponytail, she heard the rattle of a car engine.
In actuality, it may not have been rattling where anyone else could hear it; it may very well have been one of those times that her senses amazed her by being more pronounced than usual.
She ran to the window and pulled back the tawny silk curtains, staring down into the parking area at the car. Yuki was there, as usual, ready to greet the newcomers and show them about the school. When he opened the door, two young girls stepped out. One looked average - and the other looked discontent.
Aeon had no desire to greet someone with such a negative disposition. It's not that she didn't like new students, but rather that she didn't like new students to not like her. Poor overwhelmed teens coming into a new atmosphere, most of them in dire need of new guidance, being made to change everything they have been used to and start over.... not the best time to try to get to know someone.
Aeon sighed and moved to the dresser on the opposite wall. She pulled on a corset-style top with thick straps, purple boning and ivory lace trim. Against her extremely pale skin, she looked almost reminiscent of a saloon dancer. She coupled this with a flowing white peasant skirt with floral detail, and as usual, she looked stunning.
She closed her door silently behind her, carrying her four books to be returned to the library. She wore no shoes, and walked with the grace of a fawn over the old red carpet lining the hallway. The sun was beaming in through the high stained glass windows and playing a light show on her skin. The warmth made her feel fuzzy and light, and she started to close her eyes and just revel in the peacefulness of it.
Pretty soon she realized she was levitating by accident and quickly bumped into a wall.
She was wrenched back to reality just in time to catch Mel walking out of the library doors. She was still a good fifteen feet away, and rather than call to Mel she slipped into the library, deposited her books, and rushed off to meet her for breakfast.

For one long moment after Yuki left, Sylar was silent, listening to the thoughts this girl Aurora was bombarding him with. The Jenny girl seemed scared witless by the place, and though that did not stop Sylar from reading her mind, it did stop him from telling her about it. He had some measure of decency in him. He laid his focus, instead, on the spirited Aurora.

"Fuhn," he made a sound which was similar to suppressed laughter, smirking and lowering his eyes, breaking his initial link. He'd found what he went in there for, and such noises were simply irritating, if amusing. Besides, a connection was easy enough to establish again. "The chicken dance does not become you, Aurora," he told her evenly, shaking back strands of his dark hair. He glanced around, back towards the stairs. "Well, I suppose Yuki did not get around to showing you to your rooms. If you'll follow me, I'll take you to them."

He did not wait for the girls' agreement - if they wanted to follow, they would follow, and they would find their rooms. If not, Sylar would be left alone again. That was fine, too. He was a solitary sort of person, and did not mind spending extended periods of time without exchanging words. All solitude meant, for him, was silence in his head.

Listening to what Yuki said about the school and then the introduction of Sylar, Amber knew she could just step out now after saying her piece. "Okay you two I'll hand you over to Sylar to show you your rooms." She gave a smile to the two girls and turned to Sylar, "take care of them won't you?" She managed to creep out on last smile for Sylar to show she didn't mean that in some sort of stereotypical view. She knew what he could do and she knew he knew that she was partially afraid of him because of it. Knowing all of a persons secrets in a single word? Powerful.

She turned around and began walking from the reception area attempting not to touch anyone skin to skin, the result being if say she did, they would get one hell of a shock. Amber let herself walk aimlessly down various corridors while she thought of something to do. She didn't feel like eating this morning, she never really eat much to be honest. As she kept on walking through different corridors and saying hi or hello to people as she walked she realised she had just walked in a big circle. To her right was the reception area and to her left was the library, as she went to turn around she noticed Melanie almost hugged up against a pillar, she walked up behind her and tapped on her shoulder, "Hey Mel-Mel"

Mel watched the group, especially the two new girls, while still mostly hidden from view. There was something about the red head that seemed odd. Mel guessed it was the fact that she stuck so close to the blonde and seemed nearly terrified. She didn't seem to say much and was unsure when she did say something. Most of the time when there was a new arrival, they might be surprised that there were so many others like them, and were usually still tired and sad from the life they left behind, but Mel had never seen someone so frightened by all of this.

The blonde on the other hand seemed confident in herself. She also seemed quite concerned and protective over the other girl. Before Yuki had left, she had seemed to act almost threatening towards him, and now her manner seemed to imply that she was taunting Sylar as well. Maybe she felt either she or her friend was threatened and she was simply defending herself. It was either that or she was naturally confrontational. Mel knew she would just have to keep an eye on her to find that one out.

Soon after Yuki left, Amber left as well. Those three seem to be moving off, Mel thought with a small sigh of relief. She was starting to get hungry and could just barely smell the sent of breakfast cooking. She was about to leave her spot, when someone touched her, sending a painful, but thankfully small static shock through her shoulder.

"Ouch!" she said, jumping and quickly turning around to see who it was, though she already had a good guess.

"Hey Mel-Mel" said Amber. Mel smiled as she said, "Hello, Amber." She glanced back toward the dining area. It would be rude to just walk away without saying anything or at least inviting her along. "Want some breakfast?" she asked simply, pointing a thumb in the general direction of the dining room.

Cambria had heard Yuki's request, and had made sure to follow through with it for whenever the blue-haired boy decided to show up to eat. She knew just how he liked his Ramen - not too hot, so as to not burn himself. He did have control over snow after all; Cambria didn't want him to melt because of his breakfast.

She snickered slightly at the thought as she made her way into the dining area. She grabbed Yuki a bowl of Ramen, and set it next to her place at the table. She then made her way to get herself some waffles and maple syrup. Grabbing an apple she practically pranced back to the table, taking a seat and starting in on her food. The apple was the first thing to be devoured, and she waited a moment before taking a bite of her waffles.

"Yuuuukkkiiiii..." she wined a bit to herself, glancing around. "When in the heck is that boy going to get his butt in here and join me for breakfast." She pouted, mumbling things to herself as she continued to eat her breakfast. She wondered if she was going to end up hearing a collective stomach growl just before the entirety of the school poured in for some food. Somehow, it always ended up being her in the room first.

Re: Hero Factory

Why is no one posting!!! O.O

Re: Hero Factory

Apologies for my lack of excitement in my post. It was short and blah-ish. Couldn't really be avoided though...

Also, as a heads up to Darkness, I am very aware to what Ramen is :) I lived in Japan for a little while~ haha

Re: Hero Factory

YAY! We are both in!

Re: Hero Factory

Yeah, but she said in the rules that a reservation doesn't mean you get the spot so.. that is why I was asking if she was going to end up choosing between us.

Re: Hero Factory

No worries, Sclam. I just usually ignore "reserved" posts and apply with a char because a lot of people who reserve don't show, and that way I have a my claim put in just in case. You were here first, I think :)

Re: Hero Factory

Wait, does that mean you are going to have to choose between my chara and Ligentagin's, Meesha?

Re: Hero Factory

Sorry Im editing my last post a lot e_e
First because I saw a post before mine that wasn't there before
And then because I re-read abilities of Sylar and realized what I just did was probably royally fuck myself -_-;
Soooo now I'm editing that XD;

EDIT: You know what. I left it, for the luls.

Re: Hero Factory

I put in for the open face claim - your choice female. I accidentally did not write it in first person either, but I edited it. I think I just skimmed over that line in the intro because it was so close to the character skeleton box! :P Anyways, I put in her abilities as becoming animalistic, as in basically being able to climb like a monkey or run quickly like a deer. I know that might seem almost God-moding-ish, but as per the character she is non-confrontational so she doesn't use her powers for fighting or anything. She doesn't just run around all day being invincible :P It's more like, if she is with a group that is, say, being attacked or something, she would probably try to either scale a nearby tree or camouflage herself and hide. She doesn't use her abilities for huge stuff that would make her an overpowering character or anything.
So let me know if it's still unacceptable and I can edit her!

Re: Hero Factory

Ok I sent it in. Let me know if I need to change anything.

Re: Hero Factory

Certainly :) considering it reserved

Re: Hero Factory

I would like to reserve the last open female face claim please. I will get my chara in once I have read everything. I was thinking maybe something to do with shadows for powers.

Re: Hero Factory

yeah;;; *sighs* It was such a nice post. But apparently my computer likes to hide things from me.

Re: Hero Factory

It's not a problem really but with you saying something to the two girls that means they have to go backwards to answer. that would mean me and the other character reversing what we put too :/
*EDIT* Oh you deleted your post, nevermind. It was pretty long as well :( bad luck

Re: Hero Factory

Did I miss a post somewhere? O.o I had thought I'd written a post spanning from before the RP began to where it is now.... I had to place my character somewhere.

Re: Hero Factory

Everscale you just jumped the RP backwards? Am I the only one who is confused :|

Re: Hero Factory

Aaaah,

I cannot post again until Meesha does x'D.

Re: Hero Factory

I posted showing my characters personality. A lot of people are going to find me annoying :P

Re: Hero Factory

Ah yay.
Well I posted, I was going to include more as well, but I kind of have to...be somewhere x'D.

Re: Hero Factory

Okay first post is up!! Post away my lovelys. Enjoy :D sorry my first post is so...y'know I just wanted to kick things off.

Re: Hero Factory

Meesha I'm guessing you should start being the GM and everything :P but if anyone else wants too then it doesn't matter :)
