History: Japan was discovered by China, and was treated as a younger brother by him. China taught Japan how to write kanji, which he used as a basis for creating the hiragana alphabet. Later on Japan turned on China and attacked him with his katana, which left a nasty scar on China's back, thus gaining his own independence. From that day foward they were enemies in war. China was left heartbroken by how the war had changed Japan. Although China treated Japan as if he were a younger brother, Japan still denies it to this day. Now Japan is on very good terms with many countries, although he dosen't have many of them who he could call personal friends. He tends to go along with whatever America says, showing that he isn't completely independent, although his is in his mind.
