Gender: Female
Age: 27
Role: Human - Pilot for HMX-1 (Marine Helicopter Squadron One), a United States Marine Corps helicopter squadron responsible for the transportation of the President of the United States, Vice President, Cabinet members and other VIPs. Employed now for the transport of a particularly important scientist (plus one..?).
Personality: Pleasant and friendly, if with something of a temper and a hint of know-it-all-ism, Elaina is overall a nice young woman. Dedicated to her position to a fault, Elaina is a true soldier in the sense of patriotism and faith in the powers that be. Serving so close to the heart of government gives her a unique sense of importance -- which whilst not inflating her ego, does make her really love her job. Elaina has little tolerance for idiocy that endangers lives, but equally will go out of her way to keep people who have no idea what they're doing alive, even if it means taking risks that she wouldn't normally have to.
Short Bio: Elaina came out of education with good grades and high prospects in any field she chose to set herself to. Her parents thought she would go into Law, her friends thought she would go into politics -- none of them suspected that her true passion would be flying. Elaina herself didn't realise that it would be until she took a pilot's course primarily for leisure purposes rather than intent to go down that path, and discovered that she loved it. She joined the armed forces at the age of twenty one, and spent the first three years in the forces on tour in Afghanistan as a pilot.
When her tour of duty was completed, she returned home with several commendations for her skills in the air, and after a brief period of restlessness, started inquiring into how she might go about joining HMX-1 -- a combination of closeness to the president (an attraction for any patriot) and a lot of flying being a winning combination in her book. At twenty five, she applied to and was rejected from the marine corps. A year later she re-applied and was accepted, having made a mission of improving her performance in the more basic skills of endurance and skill on the field.
A HMX-1 pilot approaching her first year of experience on top of her previous military experience, Elaina is a highly capable woman
