Scarny Pretige's Story

Scarny finished going over some things in her office and went outside. She thought it was a good time for a run so she shifted and started running towards the woods. She hoped no one would stop her. She really needed this break. She was running when she stopped at a lake. She Stopped for a while to drink.

Liam saw the girl out of the corner of his eye. Proably someone else to horrified to be around him. He sighed. Of course it was he didnt know why he would get his hopes up. He picked up his stuff and went around front. He knocked on the front the pack house door. He didnt know who anwseredbecaus they where quickly gone. He looked at the time it was almost dinner time. He headed for the dining hall.

Scarny was playing in the water. She got consumed in time. Then she heard a faint sound. She couldnt place it. She stepped out of the water shook her coat then shifted. She realised that it was her alarm. She had to get back to the pack house. She shifted again forgetting to turn off the alarm. She heard the annoying town as she started running back to the house.

As Scarny arrived back she went to help the pack mothers but they where almost done so she went to emit a low sound that only the werewolves could hear. She sent it out the signal for them to come back. She sent it beyond there territory in case someone wandered out. She knew they would be hungry considering there hadn't been any food given out for breakfast or lunch, and it was mandatory.

Liam was already inside when the sound was sent. He hadn't prepared so when it went he was on his knees hands over his ears screaming. He had sensitive ears that the sound hurt him. He didn't know hwy he was the only one he knew so far. When it stopped he wiped the tears away then went into the room. He sensed that there might be some drama tonight. He hoped it didn't come from him though because he knew the alpha was stressed that morning.

Rafe was in the woods by the river, lazing about just enjoying the nice weather. Rafe recalled the past events of the day, he was very irritated. Sitting next to the river helped calm him as the mist lapped against his face. Rafe heard his mates call to come back to the house. He slowly made it to his feet before he darted off to the house, his black fur flowing in the breeze.

Rafe returned to the house to see Blair sitting on a rock. He changed back to his tall and tan form, only nodding as he passed her. His stomach growled viciously as he hadn't ate anything that day. Rafe sighed as he made it into the house, the smell of food making his mouth water. He looked in the kitchen to see if Scarny was there, but hadn't seen her. He decided to join Blair outside to make sure everyone got back safe.

Scarny looked out the window and smiled when she saw her pack. She felt like she was dreaming. Her father had just died and she was already the pack leader. She quickly made changes too. She found her mate, allowed her brother in, and was already secretly thinking of children. Specifically one actually. The little girl that is aloud to live in the pack house. She had no parents when she arrived so they gave her a room in the pack house. Most people didn't want to live in the pack house. Manley the pack mothers and the alphas occasionally betas. So they had plenty of rooms. She was going to bring the thought up with Rafe tonight after supper. She didn't want to get the girls hopes up because Rafe had never brought up the topic of children.

She saw Ryla and quickly went to her and picked her up. "Hello Miss Ryla!" She smiled up at the girl she held above her. She loved doing this. "Isn't your birthday soon? Or did it already pass?" She asked jokingly. She really didn't know because the little girl never told her. She had seen the cutest little teddy bear for her though. She also had a dress from when she was her age and it just went with the whole wolf thing. She hoped it was soon but not to soon because she wanted to plan first.

She didn't wait for the girl to reply before she set the girl down and led her to the door. She looked out then smiled at the girl wanting to spill everything. She opened the door. "Hurry up everyone the foods getting cold!" She shouted out. Then she looked at Rafe "Can you take Ryla to her seat, please?" She begged her eyes pleading. She pulled the puppy dog eyes next. "She was impatient so she couldn't wait for an answer. She smiled a thank you and handed her over.

She saw the Rafe was with Blair. Being the jealous type that she is she well got jealous. She looked at her and quickly shifted into her wolf. He coat basically glowed next to the green grass. She passed by staring at her. The only flaw was that she had a large scar destroying her coat all the way from her tail to her eye. She tempted anyone to ask about the scar. She slightly hoped her beta would ask about the scar so she could show her dominance. That is my mate. This is my pack. She thought as she darted off towards woods for a last look through. She was running faster than usual hyped up on jealousy adrenaline. She could tell her hackles had raised. She felt dangerous.

Liam went into the kitchen. He smiled at his mother. She is a pack mother like most of the moms. She handed him some food. She looked him in the face "You should really be there tonight. She might get angry. You know she has a short temper and these dinners are for a reason. I feel like its gonna be bad tonight Liam." She pleaded with him.

He considered it then handed the food back knowing she would smile. He had to add though. "Like there isnt enough drama. Do you see how she looks at the little girl that lives here. That Ryla girl. And what about the way she looks at any female that comes to close to Rafe. Shes not fit to be the alpha. She cant hold her composure. I can!" He started to raise his voice not knowing he was. He was just angry.

Scarny got her temper from her mother. Her mother just lost her temper too. She waved a whisk in her sons face. "You think that you are. You are the reason that we had to leave are lives! You are the reason your father is dead! You are the reason she is alpha! So next time you think she isn't fit just remember you put here there!" She pushed in into the dining room then acknowledged the people staring. "Go on this is none of your business."

"Hello Miss Ryla!"
Ryla laughed as she was lifted off the ground and looked up to see the familiar face of Scarny. "Scarny!" she said in reply. "Isn't it your birthday soon? Or did it already pass?" Scarny asked her, still holding her. Ryla shook her head, and held out her hand to show two fingers. "Two weeks," she said, as Scarny let her down.

Scarny led her to the door and yelled to the rest of the pack, "Hurry up everyone foods getting cold!" She then continued to speak to Rafe, but Ryla wasn't really paying attention, though she heard her name and the word 'seat.' She looked up at Rafe expectantly. "Hi," she said, just as Scarny shifted into a wolf. She frowned slightly as Scarny ran off, but waved after her. She then turned to Rafe. "Is she okay?" she asked him, looking up at him with her large green-blue eyes.

Scarny didn't know if she should come to supper tonight. She knew she should but she didn't want too. Maybe she could convince Rafe to go with her on a picnic. That sounded nice. A romantic picnic. What about Ryla though. She quickly finished her sweep of the land. Finding a few stragglers. She took a deep breath and headed for the pack house. She was headed for the back. When she got it she came in and looked around. Everyone seemed to be in the dining hall. She hesitated before entering. She headed for the other end where she expected to see Rafe and Ryla. They where there though. Instead there was her faithful brother sitting in Rafes's seat. She stopped and everyone one looked at her. Her brother looked up and smiled at her. She gave a slight growl and everyone went back to what they where doing except her brother.

Rafe gave a small smile to Ryla as she said hello.
"Hi little one, I suspect you had a good day?" It was a little awkward holding someone this small in his hands. She looked so fragile and innocent. Rafe kept his composer as best as he could though. He watched as Scarny ran off, he never could understand her sudden bursts of anger. He desperately wanted to run after her, but instead gave her the chance to cool down. He understood that it was hard for her now. Her father dying, the pack being exposed, and being placed into Alpha right away. She had been so stressed lately, but as her mate and as the male alpha, he was bound and determined to help her with anything she needed. A thought came to his mind that he was going to do something nice for her. Rafe looked back to Ryla in his arms, he gave an awkward smile, "Why don't we get you something to eat?" He lightly tickled her belly as he headed for the kitchen.

Rafe looked to Scarny when he entered the room. He stood and admired her beauty. Her long golden hair stood still as her eyes danced with anger. She smiled at him, trying to hide the anger in her voice, but failed at it in the end. He noticed her hinting towards his seat, his eyes followed to it, only to be taken back by Liam happily sitting in it. A sudden growl rose from Rafe's throat as he restored his dominance with Liam. Ryla still in his arms, he began to make his way to his seat as Liam rose out of it. Rafe gave a powerful bark to Liam as he walked by him, as a warning to not do it again.

With that drama out of the way, Rafe set Ryla in her little seat. He smiled at her, although it was awkward because he wasn't used to small children, he still cared about everyone in the pack as his family. He made his way to the counter and Scarny's mother handed him his plate. He kindly refused as he smiled, "I'm fine for now thanks. Just let everyone continue without me." She nodded her head, then gave him a plate for Ryla. He thanked her for the delicious meal and kissed her forehead. He took the plate over to Ryla and set it before her, "There you go Little Miss Ryla." and ruffled up her hair before he left for Scarny's office.

As Rafe pushed through the two large, but small wolves to him, he saw Liam slam Scarny's door. He made his way to the door and decided to listen in.
"You need to step down and let me take over." He over heard Liam. A deep low growl formed in Rafe's throat. 'What right does Liam think he has to tell his own leader what to do!?' Rafe growled to himself. Rage flickered in his eyes, but remained quiet to listen in on further. 'Tear him into place Scarny, I know you can do it.' Rafe silently said to himself.

Rafe couldn't help but smile, "That's my girl." he whispered. The door came to open, and he quickly moved out of the way. Liam looked shot down, Rafe only snarled as he walked passed. Rafe entered Scarny's office to see her standing by the window, it was open. He walked up to her without a word, picked her up with ease, moved somethings from her desk, and sat her on it. His Emerald eyes gazed deeply into her eyes. "Scarny... you've been so tense lately. Tell me what is going on so I can help you, please?" He lay his forehead against hers. "Scarny, I'm here for you and everyone else. But I can't help til you tell me whats going on." He held his breath as her waited for her reply.

She smiled and giggled a little bit as Rae picked her up and put her on the desk. She waited till he was finished before kissing him lightly. "Do you like Ryla?" She couldn't believe she was going to bring up that fact that she wanted children. She also wanted some children of their own. She couldn't help but feel a lot of love towards the orphan. She kissed him again a couple more times to try and get him to go along with her plan. She smiled as she put her hands around him and put her forehead back to his.

Rafe embraced her kisses with his own, he chuckled, but paused as she asked her question. As she lay her head to his once again, he chuckled, "Of course I like Ryla. I like everyone in the pack, including your brother who I find to be quite irritating at times. This is my family, I'd probably would be dead by now if it weren't for your father taking me in," he paused as he thought deeper into her question, not getting the hint, "Now that you mention it, she is pretty cute. She reminds me of myself, no family. I feel bad for her being this young without a family, kinda makes you wanna take her in to say she has one now." He leaned back as he kissed Scarny lightly, then asked, "Why do you ask love?"

Scarnys smiled brightened so much bigger. She could tell that he was being led into at his own will. She was so happy and could almsot scream but she kept her composure. "Well i was wondering if we could adopt her is she wants us too?" She kissed him. "And maybe have some kids of our own?" She hesitated at the last part not knowing if he would go along with the idea. She kissed him again. Smiling at him so brightly hoping that he would oblige.

Rafe's face turned to shock. He was taken back by her questions. He processed them in every detailed way he could. He got up from where he leaned, and then went and closed the door. "Scarny..." he hesitated as he stood by the window, "I'm going to need time to think about this. We have everything we need to take into consideration first. The fact that we are both stressed with being leaders and trying to take care of everyone is the main one." He looked back to Scarny who looked like a knife had been plunged into her heart.

He lowered his head as he hated making her sad, but he had to reasonable. He had never thought about being a Father before. He reached Scarny and placed his head on her shoulder while sighing, "Just give me some time," He held her face in his hand as he stared into her eyes once more as he gave a small chuckle and smile, "Now I'm not saying no, but I'm not saying yes right now either. Honestly I'm leaning towards a yes on Ryla's behalf. But as I said before, I need time to think about it." He kissed Scarny passionately before looking into her eyes, "I love you."

Blair
The glares she got from Scarny were ridiculous. What she had ever done to her? She had no idea. So, Blair decided to skip supper. She wasn't that hungry anyhow. So, the beta stood up, walked around a bit in her human for, nodding at each pack member in a friendly manner before she headed out. She spotted Liam, and gave him an equal nod. Unlike the rest of the pack, she didn't like holding grudges against people unless they deserved it. And, she was just a friendly person in general. Then, she turned around, and shifted back into her wolf form, gave her coat a few shakes and then trotted off light on her paws. She passed Scarny and Rafe, and rolled her eyes. "Get a cave..." she mumbled. Unlike Scarny, she wasn't the jealous type. Blair just went with the flow. But, seeing as Scarny had a disliking for Blair, she liked to get on her nerves.

Blair
The creamy and russet wolf whirled around, fur bristling. Yes, she was supposed to be a beta, but, yes, she had her limits too. And those limits were her temper. And that was very shot. Although, Blair was smaller than Scarny, she was still lethal. And, could put up just as much as a fight as she could, if not more.

"What right do you have speaking to your alpha that way!?!?"

Blair couldn't help but chuckle at that, and bared her glistening white fangs. Her haunches were raise too, her tail thrashing angrily. She took a threatening step closer. "Every right It's called freedom of speech." she growled back, deep blue eyes glowing with the fire of adrenaline. If this so called alpha wanted a fight, she would get one. So, Blair raised a paw, ready to go on the offense, or defense if necessary.

"What right do you have to give me snobby, stuck up glares for absolutely no reason?" she shot back, tipping her head to the side as she questioned her alpha. Yeah yeah, she was the alpha, Blair got the memo. But, the rest of the pack being her slave pretty much? No way. Blair was just as equal as her. She just had a higher ranking in their minds, not physically. It was their belief, not reality.

Blair
Oh, so she thought she would faze Blair with her little speech? No, Blair had her own mind. She was different than the rest of the pack, because she stood up for herself, and didn't submit to this crap.

"First off, I wasn't looking into your 'office', cause frankly, you two aren't quiet. I thought I heard suction cups breaking apart." she growled the challenge.

"And second of all, yes, I would say this to your father. You two are just alike. And, no matter the person, or their superiority, it would be the same scenario. And what do you mean losing your mate? Anyway, if I feel like i'm getting threatened, looks or words, I will defend myself. I won't submit to you like everybody else. Whether your alpha, or not. Because, the whole labels, is in your heads, you are not any better than me, or anybody else." she growled.

Then, Scarny told her to make a choice. And, Blair wasn't losing her pride to same chick that thought they were so cool. So, she smirked, and rose to her full stature, still a bit smaller, but quick, nimble, and quite powerful.
