Walking in to algebra II with a black minidress and a nervous smile, Lizbeth quickly took a seat next to Julian and the three girls.
"I'm not late am i? pleeease tell me i'm not late..." she said. She checked her watch, and leaned back in her chair, breathing a sigh of relief. There was so much Lizbeth had to worry about today, and she barely had time to worry about those things. Her mother had given her such a fuss with the outfit that she chose to wear, that Lizbeth Hyland barely had time to eat breakfast. She organized her books for the first period. Once she was calmed down, she looked back at her friends.
"Hey hey," she said in her naturally relaxed tone, "so,.....wait, Nina, sup with the monster?" she giggled. "Extra energy boost for math class, I see?" she said, jokingly. She ran her fingers through her hair, as she barely had time to comb it that morning.

Sophy

Sophy could hardly contain herself when both Nina and Ainsley were down for her playing bass. She wondered what Julian thought of all this, but, at the moment, all of her worries from before passed away. She hugged Nina tightly. "Yay!! This is going to be great. I can't wait," and as she went to say something more a girl came in that she was sure he had seen before, but had most certainly never talked to. "Hello," she smiled slightly. "Oh, and Nina, I don't have it with me, so, I guess I'll have to go by my house first. But, I did drive, and I don't want to be a bother making you drive me and what not!" She laid her eyes on Nina, then stole her Monster back, sipping on it once more.

Ainsley Caverly

Ainsley saw Lizbeth Hyland walking in through the door. She had seen Lizbeth on many occasions, but never really had the chance to really talk to her. She looked really friendly, and Ainsley hoped that they would get along. "Hey Lizbeth," Ainsley greeted her as Lizbeth sat down. "Cute dress!" She faced Julian, Nina, and Sophy again. "Oh my gosh! This is going to be the best band ever! Jules, you better feel lucky that you're in a band with a bunch of babes like us..." she joked. She looked at Lizbeth, who was combing her hair with her fingers. Rummaging in her bag again, Ainsley produced a black brush. She held it out to Lizbeth and smiled. "You look like you need this," Ainsley laughed.

Janelle heard her name being called and turned to see Ainsley. She smiled at her. "Hey Ainsley, how was your summer?" After their brief interaction, she headed to her locker. She put away her book bag and grabbed her books from her locker. She headed to her class and sat down, then pulled out her phone to send a text before the bell rang and class started. She texted Starr.

To: Starr
From: Janelle
Hey! Sit with me at lunch today?

She contemplated telling Starr about being...pregnant. She had to tell someone and knew she could trust her best friend Starr.

Josh Blake

Josh sat at his desk as some students entered the classroom. He glanced down at his notes again as a more students poured into the classroom. After the bell rang, he looked up, surveying his students. He spotted a familiar face in the back of the class, but couldn't place where he knew her from. He took attendance, but reading her name didn't aid him in figuring out who she was. The whole time during his lesson, he wracked his brain trying to place where he knew her from.

Brielle Hastings

Bri sat through math class on the first day. The first day was always the worst because it was always the same, and so many teachers thought of 'fun' activities to do on the first day as ice breakers, but your senior year of high school even those were getting old and ordinary. However, this first day was turning out not to be ordinary. She knew people in her first class, including the teacher, which was embarrassing, and as much as she tried to avoid meeting his eyes, scared that he would recognize her and where he knew her from, she couldn't keep from watching him; he was the teacher, of course.

At the end of class, Brielle waited for most of the students to leave, taking her time gathering her very few belongings, before going to his desk. "Excuse me Jo...Mr. Blake." Bri closed her eyes and took a breath since she almost called her new teacher, whom she shouldn't have met before, by his first name. "I'm not very good at math, so I was wondering if you also tutored to help students?" She asked. Honestly, she wasn't terrible at math, history being her worst subject, but she wasn't exactly good at it either-it rested somewhere in the middle. Her real reason for asking though was that she didn't want to stay away because she had really felt a connection during their encounter over the summer.

Brandon

Brandon had English as his first class that day, so he wasn't in the class with so many others. However, he did go to the class as soon as his was let out, to meet Nina. When he saw her, he smiled, but then his eyes flickered to Lizbeth, who it appeared was also in the class, as well as other people. "Hey, Liz." He said to her with a smile, then looked at his girlfriend. "How was class Nina?" He asked, giving a brief wave to all the others that it seemed had been in that class as well.

Nina was literally bouncing in her seat, she was excited to say the least. When Liz came in she gave the girl a grin "You know how I love me some monster...even though im not allowed to have it. I think I might have to pick some up this afternoon before practice. So how are you Liz?" She actually really liked Liz even though she had a thing with Brandon, she didnt mind but she was glad Brandon hasnt said anything about her being a lesbian...well she hoped Brandon didnt.

Looking over to Sophy she smiled "Well I dont want you to get lost so I could just follow you to your house and then give you a ride to my place. Oh I just got an awesome Idea why dont we have a little sleepover at my place tonight just have to ask my mom, then we could show Sophy the music we play and such. Anyone game?"

Hearing th bell ring she was kinda shocked because she didnt pay attention at all during class bu that wasnt new for her. Looking up she saw Brandon at the doorway, she noticed he said hi to Liza first, couldnt he be any obvious. Shaking her head she smiled to him getting her things together then going over to the doorway "Class was great Brandon, didnt learn a damn thing but we got a bass guitarist for the band! Want to come watch us practice tonight". She moved off to the side of the doorway as she was pushed by another student. "Well I should get off to next class Brandon just let me know if you want to come" she left without saying another word, it wasnt that she was jealous she was just nervous he was going to ruin the whole thing.

Sophy

Sophy was totally excited for a sleepover at Nina's place. "Really? That would be so much fun! I'm down if everyone else is! And that totally works for me, so I can leave my car at my place and what-not," she smiled sweetly, and her eyes lingered on Nina's for a moment long. "..yeah."

As Brandon walked up, Sophy smiled. "Hi, Brandon!" then she decided to give them their space, leaving for her locker, hoping she wouldn't see Evan, and suceeding. The only thing she could think about at the moment was tonight, and that was what was most important. It was nice to know music was about to be a big part of her life once again!

Josh Blake

Image

Josh got through his first lesson and by the time the bell rang, he plopped down into the seat at his desk. "Great first day, guys, see ya tomorrow." He called out after his students. He had thought his first day went well... he hoped the students liked him. He wanted to be seen as the "cool" teacher. Though he was pleased with the first day, one thing still bothered him. Who was the familiar girl and where did he know her from? As the other students left, she stayed behind. She came up to his desk and asked him about tutoring.

"Tutoring? Yeah, I do," He said as he flashed a smile. You could just pick two days during the week that work for you, and we'll have a session on those days every week from 2:45 until 3:45," he explained. Her name was on the tip of his tongue, he knew that he had met her before. And just as he was about to ask her name, it came to him. "Brielle," the word escaped like a whispered secret. Every memory came flooding back to him. The brief, but wonderful, time he had spent with this girl who he had really felt a connection with, who was back, standing before him, and who was...his student. His eyes widened, but he quickly composed himself and cleared his throat. Now things were awkward, he had whispered her name, what was he supposed to do next, should he acknowledge that he knew her, ask if she remembered him, pretend he had no idea who she was--Josh was panicking, completely panicking! He took a breath, and recovered smoothly. "That's your name, right? It's Brielle? I thought I'd remembered it correctly from taking attendance...I'm pretty good at memorizing," he said, as he flashed her another smile.

Nina went to her locker, she had many different emotions running through her. She quickly changed her books for the ones she need, she had a few minutes before her next class. Shutting her locker door she put her head against, the thing with Brandon....it was nice ofbhim for what he was doing but it was a lie and she felt like she was just stuck. Sighing she pulled out her phone and sent a text to Brandon.

To: Brandon
From: Nina
Hey. Can we talk at lunch? Ill meet you at the bleachers outside. <3

She slid down on the floor, putting her back against the lockers and her eyes looking down, humming to the music in her ears not noticing Sophy was near her.

Brielle

As Brielle awaited Josh's response, she just watched him. It seemed he didn't remember her. Or, it seemed like he was trying to remember her. Maybe he wouldn't. Maybe they could go on as if that night had never happened, as if they had never met as anything other than student and teacher, the way it should be. Although Brielle tried thinking that would be best if it were to happen like that, she felt disappointed. She had thought there had been a connection between the two of them, she had really felt something. Maybe it was because she was younger and was still learning, yet he knew all about those feelings. She was prepared for the disappointment that he could so easily forget it, after all it had been just one night and he had been drinking, yet it still didn't help the crushing feeling she was getting as he told her to pick two days and times. What did she expect? Some kind of private, out of school tutoring? It was stupid.

Bri was about to open her mouth to respond, still feeling crushed, when Josh whispered her name. She saw the recognition in his eyes, and the smile that had drawn her to him. His smile was absolutely incredible!! "Yes, it's Brielle, most just call me Bri though." Bri smiled back at him. Now that she thought he remembered her, and she remembered him, what would happen? Would they still try to act as if that night had never happened, as if there was nothing between them ever, as if she had only stood before him as his student, and nothing else? Could she do that, knowing how good his name, his first name, sounded on her lips, and how good those same lips felt against her.

Her mind started to wander, so Brielle had to shake her head to get her thoughts in line. "So how about Tuesdays and Fridays? Unless you would rather get out earlier on Fridays?" Bri asked him. She only chose Tuesday cause it was the following day so they could start sooner. There was still a little hope that he wanted what she wanted, more than a student/teacher relationship, yet she also knew that that hope could crush her because it was highly inappropriate and could get them both in a lot of trouble.

Brandon

Brandon noticed the way Nine was acting. He figured it was because he said hi to Lizbeth first, and knew it probably hadn't been the smartest move, but did she have to act that way? It wasn't as if she could actually be jealous of his feelings for another girl. Actually, Nine had been the first to know of his feelings for his friend and she had supported him, especially after he supported her through everything.

B watched his girlfriend walk away and just went to his locker. It didn't take long for his phone to vibrate, letting him know he got a text. He read the text from Nina and sighed.

sounds good to me

He replied quickly, then grabbed his books for his next class and headed off, the possibilities of what Nina wanted to talk to him about running through his mind and getting him through the day until lunch since the first day was always so boring.

Julian nodded to Nina' suggestion that they cover Fun. He liked the band; their songs were easy to play, and fun to mess around on with fills and syncopation. It'd be a nice breather piece given some of the other pieces he played. He continued to follow the conversation silently, his eyes lighting up at the prospect of a bassist. He'd have to vet her to be sure she worked well with his drumming, but even the possibility lifted his mood greatly. They could get somewhere! He always had the feeling that the band would only last as long as they were together, and that time was now diminished to two years. They had better make the most of it.

He decided to let his feelings be known briefly, concentrating as he spoke. "W-we'll have to see how w-well you w-work in the b-b-band, but I d-don't see why you wouldn't." He was getting a bit better with his stammer. He could at least carry a conversation reasonably well, if he concentrated. He then had to laugh at Ainsley's quip. "Y-yeah, I g-g-guess so. Things just k-kind of m-mesh well. I-I'm lucky to have a b-band that w-works as well as w-w-we do." He meant that; he had never expected to find a group so fulfilling in high school. He'd miss them in the future.

He nodded at the idea of a sleepover. Assuming his father was alright with it, a jam session would be just the thing to see whether he and Sophya would work well together. That would be crucial to whether she joined the band. As he left class and headed off to his next class, he began contemplating how he would go about auditioning her. He knew he had to take on the primary responsibility of assessing her, given that he was the other rhythm section musician.

Ainsley left the classroom and went straight to her locker, not wanting to be late for... English. She opened her locker quickly, pulled out her supplies, and put her Algebra II things back. A magnet fell off of her locker onto her head. Ainsley winced as she put the annoying little thing back. Why did she even have so many of those in the first place? She turned around to find a freshman, who was obviously lost.

"Hey, do you need any help?" she asked.

"Um... do you know how to get to the gym?" the girl squeaked.

Ainsley gave her directions, and after watching her scurry away once she thanked her, she checked her watch. She strolled to the English classroom, wondering if any of her friends would be there. As she walked, she thought about Sophya playing the bass for the band, and did an internal happy dance. She found the classroom and opened the door.

Nina heard the warning bell and got up from sitting on the floor and looked to Sophya "See ya, I have honors English, so ill see you in the next class". Nina then walked to her class not seeing anyone of her friends in the class she sat down in a desk in the backrow, setting her bag down near her feet and taking a pen and notebook out. She was still listening to music as she started to write a new song and not paying attention to the teacher who was talking about the syllabus for the year.
