Kachi was born not as a human, but from an egg with three other experiments; part of the first group of Experiments to successfully be infused with DNA that was something other than mammalian, due to discrepancies that previously prevented it. Now able to make them with creatures from the highest reaches of the skies, the deepest depths of the ocean, and those of cold blood rather than warm, they again went overboard, making the same mistake they had with the first group ever of successful Experiments, and put too much inhuman DNA in them.
Dogs, mammals, they can be trained; but the creatures they were trying to use just didn't have enough of the correct frame of mind, and due to the overwhelming changes in mentality from the extra genes, were deemed incapable of being placed among the troops. Studied as if not even living creatures; for drug testing, perfecting the new genetic experimentation; they lived as caged lab rats, and once no more information could be taken from them, were re-evaluated. It was only then that an all-new training program was decided, that catered instead to their avian sides, rather than the other training program they had developed which failed them. They came from air and sea, cold and arm blood; incomparable. However the scientists then made yet another mistake; they were separated. Suddenly cut off from the one thing that held their minds together, no longer understanding how they were supposed to go about living, they crashed; following the call of their genes and kind that demanded they return to the others. Now deemed useless once again, they were slated to be sent to the basement, a cruel and dark place; though, at the least, they had one comfort; they were reunited in that dank place.
And then the bombs went off, leaving their cage doors open.

White, and one quarter Native American on his mother's side. There were five animals whose DNA was infused with his, including the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest living creature on the planet, reaching speeds up to 240 km/h, with long sharp talons and extremely sharp eyes; the Swallow-Tailed Kite, who's stamina is shown by the fact that it stays in flight almost all days, for the entire day. It is known for its unusual forked tail and extreme contrast of dark and light feathers, and Kachi believes he gets some of his own contrasting coloring from it. The Indigo Eastern Rat Snake; a shiny black or blueish snake that often eats other rattlesnakes, hence being immune to their poison; it's known for killing its prey by snatching it and smashing it against a rock until it's dead. The Beaked Sea Snake was also included in him, the most aggressive kind of sea snake there is, it has a combination of neuro and myotoxins in it's venom. And last but not least was another aquatic animal, the Barracuda; a long, ferocious, snake-like-formed carnivore fish with teeth even longer than a piranha's.
