Slaine had felt pain before, he was born with it, molded by it, he had never seen a day without pain until he had escaped from that dreadful facility. That was why this pain was different, it was the type of pain that should have spelled death, but instead, well, he was still alive and still had a beating heart. Why? Slaine was most certain that he was dead, he closed his bad eye as he dragged himself out from underneath the wreckage. "Kachi? Lilim?" Slaine croaked, his throat feeling raw. "Shun?" Slaine pressed the heel of his hand into his good eye, falling back to his knees. The cold had made him numb, his fingertips were purple. He used his bio electricity to warm himself up, or at least, he tried to. "Kachi Shun! Lilim!" Slaine tried once again and this time doubled over, coughing up blood. There came a crunch from behind him, someone else had risen from the ashes.

Slaine placed his hands underneath his armpits. When the body was freezing, you placed your hands underneath your armpits because your body was protecting your vital organs, therefore, that was the warmest part of your body. "H-hello?" His breath fogged up the space in front of him, Slaine's left leg was terribly burnt, wounds with pus leaking out of them, it was clear that his leg was infected. Slaine grit his teeth and walked a few feet forward, barefooted in the snow. There were two people in the distance, if Slaine could kill them and take their stuff then he would be able to stay and search for Lilim and Kachi.

"Don't struggle and I'll make your death quick and pai-" Slaine was almost instantly kneed between the legs. He grunted, but the pain was no worse than anywhere else in his body. He lashed out, his movements slow and awkward, his nose was red, gaining that purplish tint. Soon it would be black. "Don't move child and this will be quick and painless," Slaine was hit over the head with what looked like a bottle. It shattered upon impact and he collapsed in the snow, blood trickling out of spot and freezing to his scalp. His body was collected and tied down, Slaine was being taken away from the wreckage. He awoke a few times during the journey to wherever, shivering and weak from blood loss. The interior of the car was warm, so warm and the blanket covering him even more so. He would find Lilim and Kachi, Slaine swore it.

They stuck him full of needles, they cleaned his wounds and dressed him in white. Slaine awoke tied down to a bed, feeling ravenous and violent. "Let me go!" He reeled, a relentless struggle. No one would come talk to him, the only people that visited were a man they called Teacher and a nurse who continued to drug him even though he had threatened to take her head off if she tried one more time. Slaine was not having a good time, but his leg was healing and he was given a new eye patch for his bad eye.
