PERSONALITY
Nyx's primary mode of living is focused internally, where she deals with things rationally and logically. Her secondary mode is external, where she take things in via her five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Ren has a compelling drive to understand the way things work. She's good at logical analysis, and like to use it on practical concerns. Typically having strong powers of reasoning, although she's not interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application. She likes to take things apart and see the way they work. Ren has an adventuresome spirit. She is attracted to motorcycles, airplanes, sky diving, surfing, etc. She thrives on action, and is usually fearless. Ren is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make her own decisions about their next step. She does not believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit her ability to "do her own thing". Her sense of adventure and desire for constant action makes her prone to becoming bored rather quickly. Although she does not respect the rules of the "System", she follows her own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. She will not take part in something which violates her personal laws.

Ren likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when she can sort things out in their minds most clearly. She absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sort through those facts, making judgments, when she is alone. Ren is an action-oriented person. She likes to be up and about, doing things/ She won't sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, she responds to what is immediately before her. She usually has strong technical skills, and can be as effective technical leaders. She does not pay attention to her own feelings, and even distrust them and try to ignore them, because she has difficulty distinguishing between emotional reactions and value judgments. This may be a problem area for her. When she is over-stressed, she may exhibit rash emotional outbursts of anger, or on the other extreme may be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings which she feels compelled to share with people (often inappropriately). When down on herself she will foray into the world of value judgments - a place which is not natural for the her - and judge herself by the inability to perform some task. Ren will then approach the task in a grim emotional state, expecting the worst. But Ren is excellent in a crisis situations. She is good at following through with a project, and tying up loose ends.

The Arrival of the Suitors

A women stood before the suitors, who had just arrived at the castle, and the cousin of the prince and pincess, who also just arrived,"Before we begin I thought I'd start with a quick tour of the castle, oh my where are my manners I am Lady Tavern. I am in charge of assuring the suitors are comfortable and in order. First here is where the suitors and the prince and princess eat everyday. It's the white eating room.Now this is the one and only time you will be allowed in the royal wing without an invitation. Next we will go to the left side of the wing, which is for the prince and princess and their guest. Here are their private sitting room",She spun around and clasped her hands. "Now for a real treat you get to see the prince and princess's rooms." She opened one door,[/i] "Here is the Prince's." [/i]Then she bought then down the hall and took a right at the end of the hall sat a door, square in the middle of the small wall. She opened the door revealing a room completely of windows aside from the wall with the door. "This is the Princess's."

She shoo'd them out before taking them out of the wing across the bridge and back to their wing. Where they learned they all have the same room the furniture just different decor, including the things they brought from home. Leaving the suitors to their rooms which the staff was frantically unpacking things to she brought the cousin of the prince and princess to his room. She then went to the cousins room to check in on her. Though she had already been living there fo two yeas so she already knew the rules and such. She was also the only person allowed in the royal wing without any invitation. The lady's in waiting had presumably already settled in their rooms so she wasn't too worried for them.

June 21, The morning before the Mid Summers dream event and gala
The mid summers dream ball is the event and gala celebrating summer, visitors, along with the rich and famous in the country all come. I's a great way to raise funds fo the queens charities as well. The Event includes polo, horse competitions and other outdoor activities during the day. And at night they have a gala. This is a great way for the people to meet the potential spouses of the prince and princess and deem their support.

The Servants and help are buzzing through the castle preparing for the ball. The Lady's in waiting are preparing for the princess. Waking her and generally trying to get her ready. The other residents of the castle are currently preparing themselves as well. It's a sunny crisp day. There are white tents set up outside with decedent foods being prepared for them The polo players are on the field practicing. The guest have been instructed to wear formal white or pastel clothes. Women are to wear gowns, dresses, or formal pantsuits(Remember this is outside so these are not wedding gowns, or homecoming dresses they are light and airy).Men are to wear crisp suits.

Nyx Adrienne

Nyx could honestly say that she did not believe in love. That sort of implied that she had also never been in love, but she usually felt the need to clarify that point. Love was fictitious, it was something that weak people relied on for some sense of comfort or stability. Though she supposed if she had to be in love with someone, or fall in love with someone, she wouldn't mind falling for Adam. Anyways, she supposed that answer probably should have been maybe Richard- even if she wasn't one of his suitors, he was still a prince-, but she just didn't feel it with him. Sure, he was attractive, and probably really easy for naive girls to fall in love with, but she couldn't really get past how he was the brother of someone who she considered her friend. She hoped the princess considered her a friend as well, they had only known each other for what seemed like forever. Oh well, it wasn't like she was in a relationship with either. She didn't quite know how she ended up in bed with Adam though, she had met him his first night here and after awhile, she just sort of slept with him for the hell of it. He was hot, and she sort of liked him.

So, in some odd sort of way, that's how she ended up where she was now; picking through clothes on the floor and trying to find her clothes. Eventually she found her dress, which was ripped but she slipped it on anyways and ducked onto the floor to search for her heels. When she was ten, if someone had asked her what she would be doing in five years, this definitely would not have been her answer. Yet here she was, nineteen years old and a lady in waiting to a princess, hoping to escape from some guys room half-naked without waking him up.

Fortunately, she was able to find her shoes and made a quick escape, practically sprinting back to her room. It was incredibly awkward when she turned a corner and saw Richard, and she wanted to keep running but knew that wasn't an option. She stopped and bowed slightly, mumbling a quick hello before continuing on. Not long later she was in a new dress and with Alexandra, someone she had grown to really like in the past few months. The other girl was insanely good at her job, while Nyx was more of a bad-influence, fun-loving, reckless companion for the princess. She supposed that if she was allowed to hang out with the prince and princess's friend Evette, whom she had heard about a lot, that they would have gotten along very well.

Rosalinda woke up to the sun peeking through one window. She squintented her light green eyes and looked for the source of light. FInally she found it in the window facing her bed. She glared at the curtains in disapproval. Sighing, she rolled over onto her back. The first thing her eyes sought was the electronic board with little red buttons on each of the rooms. One press and a servant would be summoned. She sat up and leaned toward the board before quickly stopping herself "A princess isn't lazy" She chasticed herself. She begrudgingly rose out of bed and walked over to the window, untucked the thick curtain and walked back to the bed. With the pess of a button her windows automatically pulled aside the thick layer of cutain leaving a gauzy, satin one in it's wake. She smirked thouroughly pleased with herslef. Before going back to the ellectric boad and gently pushing the buttons connected to her lady in waiting's rooms, along with Her "Nanny", who was really like an unnofcial paid mother to her as well as her father's lover, Dorothy.

She walked into her walk in closet. Wich was actually originally a guest room. Her father let her make alot of decisions regardging her oom. SO she decided to take a master suit and knock out the two adjourning rooms in order to make a exspansive closet and vanity and a large bathroom. She picked out her own outfitbut deemed it neccessary to get her lady's oppinions. She walked back into the room, and being that she was unsure what to do with her time she decided to just bush her hair. Which she let gow and how eached her lowe back. She always had to brush her hai befoe she took a shower to turn he big curls to waves to they would be eaer to wash. She then took a nice hot shower.

Once she was out she brushed he again, not that it mattered, due to the thickness of her hair even when thououghly bushed the best she could do was make is slightly less wavy. That always botheed her. She decided to do her own hai as she waited. She braided the cown of her head, tucking in tiny atificial white and light blue flowers that matched her outfit throughout the braid. She then added wate and a cult maintanance syum to her hair that kept he culs bouncy and maintained.

She walke dback into the closet and slipped the outfit on. The neckline was a bit low and was showing off her rather impressivee cleavage but she didn't mind. She slipped on her heels and went back into her room only to see her mother. "What are you weaing daughter? She asked.
"A dress." She said walking past her mother to her vanity. She slicked on some ligiud eye liner, in up style, and some red lipstick, before deaming sahe was ready. Her mother shook her head in dissaproval but left anyway.

She was currently on the castle grounds helping with the preparations for the gala as she was finished with her other tasks anyway. 3 months into the job and she was already loving it though there were some up and downs, she got to know the castle inhabitants and she already formed her honest opinions about them though she does not utter them out loud. As she was finishing setting up the food and drinks she received word that the gala is going to start soon and this prompted her to quickly change and attend to the princess.

She took a quick bath which was already prepared by an another maid whom she must thank for doing this for her. She quickly dried herself and sat before her vanity table to apply her makeup. She doesn't like gaudy makeup or anything too flashy so she stuck to doing the natural look and for her hair she decided a half-up,half-down with curls at the end and her hair secured in a french twist style. After that she headed to her warbrobe and pondered for a while on what dress to wear, eventually she choose a purple dress which she got in Milan the last time she was there.

Finally when she deemed herself ready she heard her bell ring and left the room to go to the princess's room as she was summoned. When she was walking down the hallway she saw the prince walk down and slightly bowed to him and said a quick hello before continuing her journey but soon after that she saw Nyx all dressed up, slightly flustered looking. She guessed that she was with Adam again but decided not to comment on it but greeted her instead.
"You better hurry up Nyx, the princess has called us" she announced as she continued on and finally she reached the princess's room. Alex knocked to announce her presence and walked in,she saw Evette was there...wearing casual clothes but she was glad that the princess was dressed at least but disapproved of the amount of cleavage showing.
"Hello Evette, fancy seeing you here. Knowing you that's what you're wearing at the gala?" she asked her tutting disapprovingly "Can't you just wear a dress at least. It's an important event for the family you know"
She then turned her attentions to Rosalinda "I like the dress but isnt that showing too much of your assests dear? Wear a cardigan or a shawl. It will get cold tonight or are you just counting on the suitor's body heat to keep you warm?" she said as she heard their conversation earlier.

Anthony Curtiz

Anthony had this habit of finding people at the worst possible times. Like when he was four and his mum let him go run around at the playground, and he heard some noises coming from the bushes and walked in there to see a cat tearing apart a bird. Ever since then he had had a sort of phobia of cats, even though that was completely illogical now that he knew they really couldn't do more than bite and scratch him, let alone eat him, but that image came back to his head every time he saw a cat. Or when he was thirteen and woke up late one night, and happened to walk by his father's study to hear him conversing with someone inside. That's when he found out that he wasn't really a Curtiz, and just some orphan boy from a low class family that they found outside their door one day. Though he never asked about it, deciding to bear the burden of knowing alone. They had always treated him like their own, showered him with gifts and money and really anything he wanted. He didn't bother trying to find out what happened to his parents, either.

Now he wandered the halls, having gotten ready early so he had time to spare. Even with his three months at the castle, he had not had time to explore the whole place. Actually, he had been busy mostly with spending time with Princess Rose, they had been getting along quite well. She was nice, if not a bit childish, and a bit too provocative. Anthony had no idea how she put both immaturity and immodest together, but she seemed to do it perfectly. Still, they got along smashingly, but it also made him have troubles seeing her as more than a friend. Definitely a problem, since he was supposed to be fighting for her hand. No matter, things would work themselves out, they always did in these cases.

It wasn't much longer until he would find another situation to add to his Awkward List, as he came upon a Miss Grace Lynn, sitting on the floor barefoot. His hand covered his mouth to stifle a chuckle as he approached her from the side, stopping and leaning against the wall when he was an appropriate distance from her. "Morning Miss Grace." He greeted her kindly, having spoken to her few times and deciding he liked her. "Lost or tired?" Anthony asked, smiling as he held out a hand to help her stand.

After helping out the princess as much as she could, Nyx excused herself and left the room, leaving Alex to scold Rose for dressing like a pornstar and Evette to discuss threesomes. She had no idea how she liked the group so much, they were all so different, but she loved being around them. Today though, there was something noticeably off about her, which had actually grown to sort of be a normal thing after the nights she spent with Adam. How many times had she marched to his room in the middle of the night, intent on ending this little "friends with benefits" thing they had going on? About as many times as she instead ended up waking in his bed and hating herself even more. She had a feeling that Alex knew, she didn't know how the other lady did but she could only hope that she wouldn't spread it around. Adam and her were still friends to the public, she didn't need that getting all messed up.

Instead of going back to hide in her room until the Event started, she headed down into the huge courtyard and busied herself with helping the servants however she could. Though she had a feeling that she wasn't much help, considering what little tasks they gave her, and how few they were. So eventually when they shooed her off, she went without question, going towards the polo field. Ever since she was little she had a love for horses, and she knew how to ride quite well, if only she wasn't always so busy attending to the princess. A few of the players came over to greet her, knowing her from her many visits to the stables, and she fed each of their horses bits of treats that she snuck from plates while helping set up.

Rose was standing with Xavier when she was suddenly sweeped into her brothers arms. She squealed with glee, ignoring the looks of the guest. She didn't really care about them. Her brother was her best friend. She also knew to some degree he loathed the idea of her getting married. And in some degree she haed the idea of having to share her big brother. She was always the one who would cheer him up or make him smile, she didn't want to share that ability. Though she supposed his child would do that too. She also imagined Grace wouldn't. That made a frown a little.

"Looking beautiful as ever, Snow. Not like I didn't expect that," he told her setting her down. She pouted a little, because she knew that meant he was leaving soon. . It didn't take long for him to go to defense mode against Xavier "I expect nothing but respect and gentleman-like behavior from you. Otherwise, you will find how quickly I can it so that you do not exist.Enjoy the festivities." He then left in a way only the prince could. Rose blushed at Xavier "Sorry he does that" She said with a shrug.

She felt a little tug at her dress and saw Cecily frowning "WHy didn't he spin me?" She asked. Rose frowned " He uh well..." Luckily Evette arrived. Cecily liked Evette. "Did you forget about me, Cecily?" Evette To which Cicely responded "No Evie, 'course not," Rose smiled at the arrival of Natalia but was getting distracted by the couple with there eyes on her.

She recognized the man immediately it was Blake, her blake, or he was her Blake. His mouth was in a firm uncomfortable line. She then noticed the woman snaked around him. ""that must be his fiancee" She thought to herself. Just as she moved to approach them her fathers voice stopped her. He was standing on the elaborate stage.

The Polo Match

"Welcome, welcome my guest. Welcome to the annual Mid Summers dream event and Gala. He smiled charmingly "I'm sorry this is just the event." He chuckled. "Well my family and my court welcomes you." Almost synchronized the court bowed their heads. The Royal Family waved, charmingly. "Well please enjoy the polo match it's beginning in ten minuets. " He said, his voice could be heard throughout the castle. "I ask you all to look at your invitation it has your seating sections.

The guest were all seated in their proper sections. The Princess and Prince right next to each other. The right hand man in the seat directly behind him, The princess's maidens sat behind her. The suitors all sat on either side of the prince and princess. The king and Queen were to be sat in an elevated section however the King peffered to sit with his people, though he was flanked by security, his mistress sat at the table next to him with their daughter on her lap.

Rose sat and watched the match. She glanced to her right and saw her father sitting with his mistress and half sister. Not that she minded she was happy Dorothy got to be out with her dad and sister in public. Though glancing at her mother, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. Because beneath her strong facade, her mother looked so... lonely.

She sighed remembering when things were simple. Before Dorothy, before her dad started cheating. Back when her mother used to smile at her and Richard. Her mother never smiled at her anymore. In truth Dorothy is more of mom to her than her mother ever could be. But she still wanted her mother to be happy.

The interactions so far were safe and nothing too dramatic though she was still on high alert.
She liked Cecily ,though she is the illegitimate child of the king, she is an innocent little girl caught up in a political mess. When Rosalinda had no answer as to why the prince didn't spin her she picked her up and said 'Cheer up, I tell you what I have a stash of sweets made especially for you over there" indicating at a white table in the centre filled with goodies "Do you want some?" she asked.
Cecily nodded eagerly and so they set of to the banquet table knowing that the princess is in safe hands. When Cecily was in the middle of gouging on her sweets she heard the king announcing that the polo match was about to start and so she scooped Cecily up and looked around for the mother. It didn't take a long time to look for her though as she could see her standing beside the king, Cecily squirmed in her arms and when Alex let go she ran to her mother who scooped her up and kissed her on the cheek.

Then she immediately set off to where the court was seated and as she passed by Nyx she asked her where she was as well as saying hello to Natalia. She sat with her co-workers and waited patiently for the match to begin.

Anthony Curtiz

Anthony was a jokester, had been since grade school. He was always the class clown, never serious about anything, acting like he was the stupidest kid around. And he got away with that because his parents were rich, because even though he acted stupid, he was more often than not at the top of his class. No one knew that though, except for his parents and his teachers, and he made them promise not to ever bring it up while other students were around. There was something about being smart that he just didn't like, which seemed silly, but it made him different than all the other kids. And then he felt like he had to try and stand out or something, like he had to live up to that, and he just wanted to have fun. Being smart didn't really matter anyways, not when he was at a rich, preppy school where they only cared about your money and how much of it you had.

At the same time though, Curtis was very much a gentleman. He addressed ladies as miss, or ma'am if they were older. Always he offered his assistance should they need it, tending to their needs and wants first. True, he very much liked to flirt, but never any more than that. He wanted to find love, true love, very much like the girls did with their tales of fairy godmothers and pumpkins that turned into carriages. And he did not want to marry the princess, much to even his own dismay. She was too much of a child for him to feel romantic feelings towards her, but the perfect amount of immaturity for him to feel fond for her in a friendly way. Truly, if she didn't love him, he wouldn't have wanted her to pick him anyways. But his parents had decided this fate for him, and after finding out he wasn't their real child, Anthony felt a sort of responsibility to do as they had asked him.

Anthony listened to Grace's rant, trying not to show his amusement. It wasn't even that he wanted to laugh at her, it was what she was complaining about, like getting lost. He had learned within the first week not to try and wander around, and to only use the hallways that he knew or to just ask whoever was around to show him where he needed to go. "Don't." The suitor replied quickly, following her little speech. "Don't feel pathetic, 'coz you got every right to feel the way you do. I mean, man, if I had to do what you're doing I wouldn't know what to do with myself." Anthony shrugged and chuckled. "And just so you know, I'm definitely making you a map now." He helped the lady up before offering her his arm, looking around to figure out where they were and then deciding the best way to get down to the courtyard. "Could I escort you down to the match, mi'lady?"

Nyx would be lying if she said she hadn't been hoping to find Adam before the match started. Unfortunately though, he hadn't even made an appearance once. Though she didn't blame him, if she didn't have to be here she wouldn't be either. Still, when she made her way up to her seat, she took a spot on the outside. A few moments later Alexandra passed her, asking where she was, and Nyx only offered a shrug. "Too difficult to keep up with the princess." She offered as explanation, referring to her childish and hyper tendencies. The Lady in Waiting tried to focus on the match, which she normally would have had no problem doing with how much she loved horses, but she had troubles now, her thoughts focused on whom she had woken up next to that morning.

Adam Loire ~

Three months has past, just three months and surprisingly Adam didn't leave. He could if he wanted to, but that wouldn't be good of him to just up and leave without giving -living here- a try. Adam didn't leave because, of a particular individual poked at his interest too much for him to even try leaving. Sitting up in his bed, he began to look around. "Seems like she left quite early." Smirking at what he said, he got up after hearing a whole lot of people moving and bumping around. Picking up his scattered clothing, he threw them in a pile in the basket, which made him remember that he had to 'dress up' for the evening.

Deciding to then take a bath before even touching a suit, he did. After he was done bathing, he put on his suit and sprayed a bit of cologne just to add a little 'spice' to it. After he finished checking himself out in the mirror, he walked out of his room. He walked to wherever the Polo field was, he wasn't a real fan of this sport but, he would have to deal with it. When he showed up at the match, he sighed quietly to himself and looked around, he didn't want to sit next to his 'family', not at all. He looked for anyone he could tolerate, anyone that didn't get on his nerves when talking to him.

After a moment or two he laid his eyes on Nyx, the girl that escaped his room without saying a Good morning, or a Hello. Staring at the woman as she didn't notice him standing there, he decided to walk towards her thinking that she'd put her attention onto him. As he shortened the distance between them, luckily there was room to sit behind her, so he did just that.

Dianna Grant ~

Awoke to nothing but, a silent room. It was kept neat and clean, she always made sure of that. Sitting up in her bed, she ran her fingers through her hair. She realized today would be a eventful one, and she had to dress her best. So she got up to a shower, and put on her dress and did her hair to match it. Looking at herself, she smiled and then walked towards the door. These past three months have went so smoothly for her, she made a couple of friends, and she only cried about 5 times each month. Other than that, in the last three months, surprisingly there was not much to worry about. Well, for her at least.

Continuing to walk out the door she went to where the Polo match would be place and noticed Anais and Katherine standing at a certain distance and she decided to join in whatever they were talking about. "Hello Anais and Katherine." She said their names as polite as can be, she really liked how wonderful they had looked in their dresses, though looks aren't anything to her. Looking over at the prince with a quick glance or two before bringing her attention back to the two woman in front of her.
