When not in robes or school attire, Kiara’s look can be very professional. She has been taught to dress to impress since she could pick her own outfits out at the age of three. Kiara has been known to wear dress pants and a blouse, but also dresses and skirts all the time. Not many people could pull off a pencil skirt, but Kiara is no stranger to them. Then there’s the side of her wardrobe that wants to rebel against her family’s wishes, it's the clothes she has that are more promiscuous or revealing. She has low cut shirts or crop tops, there’s her little black cocktail dresses or even nice form fitting ones she’d wear to parties.

Kiara also enjoys walking in heels. It was something she just got used to, so she has about ten different pairs that she wears at all times. She loves how powerful they make her feel with the clicking on the ground and she will even wear them with her robes. The confidence they give her is irreplaceable.

About 90 percent of the time you can find Kiara’s hair down and lightly curled or in its natural start of almost straight. She doesn’t usually accessorize her hair or anything, but she is known to style it from time to time.

She does have other accessories though, which range from necklaces and rings. She absolutely hates wearing bracelets, so its better not to try and get her to wear those. She especially thinks that the rubber band ones are tacky.

5’3” and 119 lbs.

A P P E A R A N C E
Kiara is an average height kind of girl with a body that is more on the slender side of things. Despite her short/average height she carries it very well and never seems to be as small as she may appear. This is especially given due to the fact that she wears heels all the time, which puts her a bit taller depending on the height of the heel.

She is fair skinned with no sign of freckles on her face. She does have some tattoos on her body, one of which is on her thigh and another is on the back of her shoulder blade. She would get tattoos in more noticeable places, but she doesn’t want her parents to figure out she forged their parental consent to get said tattoos that she already has.

Her hair is dark brown and falls down to just past her shoulder blades. It will be really rare that you ever see her hair not styled or groomed. She doesn’t like people to see her when she just wakes up. Even if that means she has to wake up before everyone else at Hogwarts.

Kiara likes things that people like to not believe to be real, such as tarot cards or zodiac signs. She loves to learn knowledge on them and she even owns a few decks herself. Her other likes include, being right, baking, doing makeovers, painting, home decor, fairy lights, colourful ink, organizing notes, taking care of animals, rainy weather, hot chocolate, ice skating, travelling, adventures, and competing.

Kiara does not like meat at all, she is a vegetarian and will refuse meat if it is given to her. She also doesn’t like stupid quotes on canvases like β€˜live laugh love’, or mass produced art. Kiara’s dislikes also include, yoga, being hugged without consent, being told what to do, not being able to do something, pickles, cross stitching, coffee, sunshine, bowling, and being wrong.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Kiara from a young age has always been able to converse with people. It was one of the first things she learned to do quickly. This only made it easier for her family to teach her how to be charming and quick witted. She knows how to talk circles around anyone and also knows how to be incredibly persuasive. Kiara doesn’t like to take no for an answer, unless its for certain things, but overall she’s good at getting to know people to know who they are or to break their walls down a little bit. She can remember facts about anyone if they’ve been told to her before.

She tries to know people so that when she speaks to them, it feels like they’ve been friends for years or that they feel more comfortable. Besides that, she would be lying if she used said skills to her advantage, she likes to be able to get away with anything she wants and that’s hard to do when people don’t like you.

Her emotions don’t really drive her, as she has them under control for the most part. Ki is very emotionally put together from her view. She is good at not letting things get under her skin too easily, and therefore you can hardly ever see her fighting with someone.

Kiara’s mind is very creative though, she enjoys a good mystery or unsolvable case. She feels this constant need to prove herself, and in part of that she enjoys trying to figure out the unknown or to try and be inventive with things. Kiara is constantly trying to figure out how to better improve things with various inventions or thoughts. She grew up watching things like Inspector Gadget or reading books like Nancy Drew.

Deep down Kiara wants people to recognize her for more than she makes herself appear to be, but she also doesn’t want to open up about it. Kiara doesn’t want to have to tell someone the things she’s been through, she just wants them to know or to get it, because to relive the things she has lived would be more damaging to her self worth. Which leads to the fact that Ki can be rather self conscious despite the way she carries herself or the way she feels confidence from certain things.

H I S T O R Y
Kiara’s family life isn’t a life she likes to talk about at all. It is something she tries to ignore at all costs. Her mother is a witch, but because she was a muggleborn, her family wasn’t magical and she could get away with pretending she was human in the real world. This made things a little complicated once she fell in love with Richard.

Despite her parents having opposite careers from each other, it wasn’t the profession Richard had initially when the two of them got married. It was only after that he sought to be a priest and she had moved up in her career to be an attending at a hospital.

The pair ended up having five kids together overall and Richard never had a clue that his children had magical abilities and to keep it a further secret Beatrice would always tell Richard she had the best private school for their children to go to, and thus all of them went to Hogwarts for school. This made it difficult for the kids who decided to go into muggle world professions because they had to catch up on some of the classes they didn’t get to learn all that well at Hogwarts.

Kiara herself accidentally let her magical powers be known to her father, or at least she boasted and claimed she did. Her father wasn’t all too impressed and didn’t know whether to believe her or not. Ultimately though just to be safe he tried to get the β€˜witch’ out of her through various different ways. Ways in which she will never speak of to anyone and hasn’t since they happened.

If anyone sees the marks, Kiara has gotten good at mentioning what they’re from as a good lie, but she doesn’t talk about it long. It is also why Kiara doesn’t usually go home during Christmas. She stays on the grounds of Hogwarts until the next semester starts. She doesn’t want to go home to deal with any of it. She knows he will just push her towards a muggle private school for all girls and force her into a line of work she doesn’t want, much like her older siblings. At least her oldest brother got out of the house, but he doesn’t have any contact with the rest of the family, save for a couple letters to their mom.

None of her siblings say anything about anything anymore. The only sibling she truly talks to is her own twin brother. Ever since they came to Hogwarts she has been seen sneaking into her brother’s bed because the nightmares become too much. Thankfully since she’s been in 6th year it hasn’t been too bad.

The brunette had finished getting ready by the time it was six in the morning and her classmates were waking up to get ready to head out to the hall. So instead of waiting for them all to get up she went in to bug her twin, Callum. Kiara hoped onto his bed and began to shake him awake.

"What do you want, Kiwi?" She heard him groan the words and swat at her to get her hands off of him. Kiara's only reaction was to smack his hands back while shaking her head.

"I just wanted to make sure you didn't miss breakfast." Ki said rolling her eyes at her brother before getting up and grabbing his pillow out from under his head, while walking away.

"Ki, give it back!" She could hear him call after him, but all she could do was reply with, "You'll get it back when you wake up." With that she tossed his pillow to the side of the door before walking out of the dorm. She began to grab the current issue of Trinkets, Troves and Tremendous Inventions. This was the one issue she was waiting for. for awhile. Kiara wanted to read about what kind of inventions were being made in the magical world these days.

One of her favourites was the spell checking quill that Professor Arthurs had come up with for dyslexic witches and wizards. Simple objects that help people get the most out of their lives were the sort of inventions that she thoroughly enjoyed. So today she was hoping to get inspired by whatever this issue had to cover.

Kiara began to walk towards the exit of the Ravenclaw tower so she could make it down to the Great Hall before all the people would flood in. Ki had her favourite spot and that meant getting there first, of course. So as she walked down she sat down on the edge of the bench with her one knee crossed over the other showing off her new high heels she had gotten for Christmas, her mom knew just what she had wanted too, so it made it even better. The shoes she was sporting were a pale pink similar to a nude colour. The strap was around her ankle. They were a Christian Louboutin brand under the name of Very Cathy.

The Ravenclaw student didn't boast her wealth a lot, but she did take great pride in her heels and the ability for them to give her the confidence and power she needed to walk though the halls of Hogwarts.

Flipping the glossy cover over to look at what kinds of things they'd be talking about in her issue of inventions, she could hear some of the students start to pour in. Part of her eventually overheard the conversations that were going on between the Slytherin and Gryffindor tables. She just wanted to give both of them a run for their money so they could stop shitting on each other.

Callum eventually came in with his hair groomed and his tie done up right. "You better hope mom and dad never find out that your shirt is not tucked, they'll have a cow." Kiara said nonchalantly.

"Whatever, they can get bent. My shirt not being tucked is the least of their problems."

She rolled her eyes and looked over to Crispin, "Whats your bet on the Slytherin and Gryffindor quidditch game today?" She asked with her eyebrows raised.

Elise definitely hadn't set an alarm the night before, it wasn't on her mind as she was catching up with Lex, Kai, and Cas. They had been her dorm mates since she could remember and the fact that they pack of them were up to being their idiot selves last night, it meant that none of them set an alarm. It was only a recipe for disaster as one could had hoped.

The blonde had been having one of the best dreams that she's had in awhile. It definitely was a certain type of dream, so the fact that she heard Cas's voice wake her up from it she mumbled and as her eyebrows knitted together. Were they serious right now? Who cared if they were late? It happened so much that they hadn't done shit yet. Ellie opened her eyes squinting, but she could tell by her voice that she was serious.

With a sigh she shook her head throwing her covers back. "You really suck sometimes, y'know?" She said with a bit of a chuckle and then began to quickly throw her stuff on. Ellie had thrown on her trousers, bra and white blouse. She 'accidentally' forgot to button some of the top buttons as she was 'rushing' before just grabbing her yellow and black tie after she had tied her blonde hair up in a messy pony tail.

She was a pro at getting ready with little to know time so she also managed to get a layer of foundation and some mascara on. The girl needed to be somewhat prepared for the day, you never knew who was going to look your way.

"Mon cheri! Do not take all the blame, I will gladly do it next time. I got irresistible veela charm sometimes." Ellie said with a laugh when Cas had returned to the table with the rest of them.

Instead she blew Cas a kiss before throwing her hands up in a heart shape with her hands, "Merci beaucoup, darling. I appreciate your efforts, always." With that, Elise began to comb through Lex's hair to make it look more presentable and less tangled for her. The girl was way too sweet to be dragged down by the oversleeping demon that lurked around.

She retracted her hands when she was done though, "So, anyone excited for the dance coming up? I say if we don't have dates we can all go together, if that sounds good?" The blonde said throwing it out so no one had to feel bad about lack of dates or in case no one wanted to talk about who they wanted to invite out.

Ryou Seong-Min

An early morning, as the light slowly began to filter within the room of a blue Dormitory. However, a light already had illuminated a small desk, with several books open and cast about. While none of said books were cast aside with uncaring intentions, they had been placed often on top one another as to conserve what little space there was. Set by the window, a candle brought what little light possible to the table, as a the seventh year muggle Seong-Min kept to her studies. Sitting in the windowsill was what appeared to be a solar powered battery charger, which connected to another device, which connected to the headphones over her ears, nothing like some music to go with the reading and cramming of six years of knowledge. Stopping her pen, Seong-Min glanced up to the rising sunlight, the horizon looked so pretty, despite the stresses that came with this task. It had been two weeks already, yet, it felt like months of planning, let alone convincing her two mothers to allow their precious daughter to come to the other side of the world to attend a school of Magic. Something thought to be of simple fiction between the three.

However, the memories kept coming, first was the application process, people came what felt like from nowhere, delivering letters to allow for Seong-Min to attend as a transfer student. Neither her mothers knew of this school known as 'Hogwarts' nor anything of the country of Scotland. Furthermore the notion that apparently Seong-Min has the blood of the ancient dragon of mythology. It was as much of a rush as it was confusing, who would've thought, that her Birth Mother was of some ancient relation to the dragon. Then came a simple interview, and overview of what she would be doing. Since they discovered her blood as late as they did, there had to be a lot of cram classes to get the young girl to speed. Spending six months learning the lessons that would normally take six years to learn was a trial, but, by whatever Dragon god favoured Seong-Min, she learned most of what was necessary. Though the spells were a utter failure, she proved to pick up material quickly, and while she was no master of any of these lessons, it was enough to get her to where she is, though, she did need a bit of help just getting here...

Flying from her home first to Scotland was hard enough, though not as bad thanks to her Mother pulling a few strings to allow for her beloved daughter to fly first class. Next came reaching the platform of nine-and-three-quarters. The looks of confusion and remarks were a plenty to the young woman, who stumbled through a crowded platform in confusion and dismay. It wasn't until she ran into a helpful student that she found the station, through a magic wall of sorts. Walking through the wall perplexed her, as that sense of adventure and wonder soon sparked to life. Just wandering the platform was enough excitement for her years. Then came the train ride, compared to what she was more akin to, was dreadfully slow. Sitting by herself in the train, most of what she did was message her old friends, telling them of the landscape of Scotland, and giving her farewells, along with play a few games, and watched a couple of episodes of her favourite show. Almost as a farewell to whatever life she previously had, as she knew little of what would happen at this school of 'Witchcraft and Wizardry' that she was to attend. That anxiety sank in hard during the train ride, as the worry of what kind of mayhem would follow her.

Arriving at the castle that was a school only concerned Seong-Min more, as the thought of 'I transferred to the wrong school' soon echoed into her mind, though it was far too late to back out now. Entering this castle was a trip, then came the welcoming feast. While she recognized most the foods, there were so many people there, ranging from what she presumed to be children to people her age. Sitting in a crowded table, she was the only outsider it seemed, everyone knew of one another, and here was Seong-Min, in the middle of a free-for-all of chatter and food. Being alone in this was hard for the girl, she always had her friends back home, but now, she was with nobody, a fresh start, something she had no idea how to go about, yet, it was something she very well could've used.

The next two weeks blurred by without much problem, outside of her sleep habits being derailed. Yet, her studies were cut off, as a white cat had lain itself on her books, staring up at the Brown-eyed dragon. Makki was her family pet that joined her rather by force, as both she and the cat were near inseparable, at least she had a reminder of home, and how things were. It caused her mind to wander, of what her parents were doing now, as the sun began to rise in Scotland, it would be afternoon in her home, likely her Mother would be in a meeting, with her Birth Mother still likely giving a lecture at the high school that Seong-Min attended. As her mind drifted, attention was brought back to the cat, as a paw reached out and pat her chin, a light laugh came from Seong-Min, who began to pet her beloved cat, as the other students began to rouse by this time. Standing up, a large stretch came from Seong-Min, whom already was in uniform, minus her shoes and cloak. Realizing she wasn't able to sleep, after some time she just changed while in the cover of darkness. Packing up her pens, and books, the young woman was just ready for the day.

Walking down the stairs, and soon out the Dorm Hall, Seong-Min made her way to the Great Hall, leaving her cat behind, just for the moment. Entering the great hall, it was relatively quiet still, as she was one of the first to wake, outside of Kiara, whom always beat her to the great hall, despite she was one of Seong-Min's roommates. Gathering a decent meal, Seong-Min could hear the two other classes bickering of the game that was later today. Quidditch it was called, at least as far as Seong-Min knew. While she knew of the game, she knew not any of the mechanics nor the scoring or anything of the game really. All she had of it was it's name, which she never could pronounce right anyway. As she glanced over the room, Seong-Min wished to at least sit with someone she knew a bit, or at least as well as one could with only two weeks of being around them. That led her to walk to Kiara, standing across the table from her, and speaking gently,

"Um... Kiara?" A pause was in place, as she hoped not to interrupt anything, "Would you mind if I sat with you?" Speaking English was still a struggle for Seong-Min, being that she seldom used it in her home of Korea. But, she tried her damnedest to make her words as clear as can be.

Ophelia Prescott

Ophelia was always one of the last few people to come out of the commons room or to head to the great hall. It was overall safer for her instead of walking in the big crowds, or for her to go too early that if she tripped and fell no one would be there to help her back up. A sigh escaped from her lips as she brushed her hair for the hundredth time, just making sure it was smooth or just giving her something to do to let time trickle past.

She wondered what it would be like if she got the chance to live life normally. Go down to breakfast with her classmates at the same time, jab each other in the ribs, or even if she could fly on a broom perchance. It was all a heavy weight that she felt on her day to day life and there was no escape. Instead it was her lying in bed just watching something on Netflix that she downloaded the night before coming back to Hogwarts. But she only had so many episodes left before some of them would time out.

She would do this until everyone was up or majority of everyone was up, and then she would move on to opening her trunk and finding her robes, brushing her teeth and getting dressed. Lia would sit on the edge of her bed and just listen for the murmurs to calm down in the common room. She could always hear something, whether that was different conversations going on or it was people laughing out there.

By the time she started to walk out into the common room it was empty or relatively close to it. It felt lonely to say the least, and she could feel the pit in her stomach as everything was getting to her today. It was days like today that the coldness really settled into her bones and made her uncomfortable, Ophelia felt lost and angry with herself all in the process.

Her mother came to mind and she couldn't help but feel the bubbling anger that let her feel as though it was all her fault. She wanted to break something and then break down, but instead she just resorted to calming herself down one breath in a t a time.

The one truly helpful thing was the growl of her stomach that signaled she definitely wanted breakfast and she was going to go down to get it.

Ophelia left the room and began on her trek to climb up the stairs to get into the main part of the castle. She took her time as the last thing she would want to do is slip and fall back down on them. It has led her to be in so much more pain than she's felt in a long time.

As she came out from the dungeons she could smell breakfast and hear that chatter from all the students and she felt hopeful and happy for a moment. Hearing all the people and knowing she would get to interact with them for a few moments before they had to all waft out to class, was a nice feeling. She could feel semi normal in the great hall, and she was fairly sure that it was one of her favourite parts of the day, aside from just being curled up on the couch in the Slytherin common room.

As she entered the hall, she could see Cas over at the Gryffindor table and for a moment she found herself stuck watching them as they interacted with Shane. It stifled a bit of a laugh from her, and in some way Ophelia felt bad, but she was sure Cas wouldn't do something like that for no reason.

Walking over to the Slytherin table, she could hear her feet against the floor as she finally made it to the part of the bench Jessie and Eden were on and she sneaked her way onto the bench next to Eden and immediately placed her head on his shoulder. The pair were used to just leaning on each other whenever they were in class or in the great hall. It was either a way of saying hello or 'hi I'm mentally exhausted today.' in the moment Ophelia was both.

"What's the hot new gossip around here?" she questioned softly to both Eden and Jessie. She wanted to feel like she was part of the group and part of whatever was going on that she had briefly witnessed and missed for whatever reason.

Cassie was not surprised that the chaos began to rise at the Gryffindor table. Mac and Coal were awake and it would only be a certain amount of time until Kit got in on it as well. Cassie was actually being quite tame today all things considered, she knew sometimes her and Mac would plan little pranks during dinner just to watch Harvey's reaction. Which almost as if it were on cue or something, Harvey was having a reaction to this morning.

Now?! Really?! We have a game today Mac, I think Professor Leahy might actually murder me if we lose.” Cassie couldn't help but stifle a laugh as Harvey was scolding Mac a little bit.

"Dear naive Harvey, losing has never been an option for us. We're simply the best." Cassie said, trying to boast a little more as she looked directly at Jessie with the intention of hearing what she had to say. "I mean, especially when we play against Slytherin. They're destined to lose." It was in that moment that she could feel her heart race a bit more and to Cassie she's always chalk that up to just the rush of talking smack, but talking smack against Slytherin to Jessie was a different feeling entirely. Probably just because Jessie was her rival in almost everything and they fought about stupid shit all the time.

It was in that moment that Cassie watched as Cal was trying to get up in his seat to say something, but Harvey pulled him back down, β€œSit down and eat your breakfast. Protein go!”

Cassie gave Cal a light back on the back and leaned over and whispered to the younger Gryffdinor, "One day, I promise." She said with a small smile.

When Mac replied that she had put her name in and asked if Cassie had, she nodded her head. "Why of course I did. I love a good competition. Anything to prove I'm the best." The redhead said, showing a giant smile as she fake gloated about herself. If she couldn't try to boost her confidence up by any sort of means then what was she going to do?

It was at that moment that she noticed Cas was over at their table, and she had to blink her eyes for a moment, when did they get here? Cassie watched as Cas dumped water over Shane, and she did everything to hold back a giggle, so her hand was placed promptly over her mouth. As Cas left to go back over to the Hufflepuff table, Cassie gave them a high five.

"I will be back." Cassie said as she slipped out of her seat and headed over to the Slytherin table. She plopped herself down next to Jessie and began to pick up a piece of toast from her plate. "What did Shane do now? need me to accidentally send a bludger his way or something?" the redhead asked with a big grin before she took a bit of the toast that she stole from Jesie's plate.

"I think your toast is better than mine, at least you got that going for ya." She said teasing Jessie a bit. "Could probably just some jelly or something, is there any near by?"

Kiara continued on with her reading of the article, she enjoyed reading about innovations and the way in which people were mimicking other innovations to create something entirely different. Instead though she continued on with her witty banter her brother had to offer.

The brunette could hear a small soft voice and it alerted her senses more than the yelling and stupid comments going around, those were normal, but a soft voice was not. Her eyes looked up to see Seong standing there and for a few moments she analyzed the student. She had seen a little bit of Seong, but she hadn't fully introduced herself or gotten to know her.

Kiara felt it was better to make friends with someone you don't know because you never know what they could offer or you never know when you'll need the bridge. Besides maybe she'd be a good source for her blog posts about all things drama.

"Of course, it would be my pleasure to have you sit beside me, Seong." Kiara spoke with a smile on her face and gestured to the seat next to her.

"How are you this morning? Finding everything okay?" She asked.

She could hear all the commotion going on down by the Gryffindor table, and she just rolled her eyes. She did think there was some humour to it, but if she was caught in stuff like that and her parents found out, it would be game over. Kiara just stayed out of trouble and continued on with her own stuff.

This did mean though that Kiara was trying to keep an ear open, she had been listening to everything in hopes that maybe there was some sort of scandal going on or something that would be newsworthy. She would have to talk to Eden more to get insight later, perhaps she could steal the seat next to him in potions.

As the group across the hall carried on, the students in question had known eachother for what Seong-Min could guess for years, it showed in just their chatter amongst one another, as much of it as the Korean-born young woman could understand at least. While she was fluent in English, and able to hold her conversations with relative ease, it still had it's challenges, as she would translate everything spoken to her to her native tongue, and then she would translate it back out in the best way she could, which in situations of keeping up with people whom were fluent in the language made things a mess. Though her mind was drawn back to a familiar voice, Kiara had replied with a kind look, as Seong slowly began to take her seat at the bench across the table from Kiara's seat.

It was nice to have at least a semi-familiar face to fall back on and chat with. As Seong-Min sat, Kiara asked how she was this morning and if she was finding things okay. Seong-Min took a moment, as the past two weeks were hectic to start. First was the grand feast that everyone had attended, even while surrounded by people, she felt the most isolated, being the new kid on the block, she had no idea who anyone was, and was overwhelmed in the mess of people, yelling, laughing, and being generally merry after the holidays. Afterward, she was shown to the house quarters, and especially the dorms of Ravenclaw, the house that was given to her by some magic hat placed on her head during one of the meetings.

Gods she hated that hat. The dirty old rag that was called a hat was not pleasant in the slightest, especially when it started to speak and sing, when it reached into her mind, what felt was an intense argument took place, as Seong-Min was not too keen on the hat's Legilimency in any shape. Eventually, though, that damned speaking hat put her in Ravenclaw, citing her wit and ingenuity in the silent argument.

Snapping back to present day, Seong-Min looked at Kiara, whom was likely expecting an answer some time before the Seong-Min's mind flew back to another flashback, with a light smile, she replied gently, her voice coming much softer than the harsh voices of the Gryffindor and Slytherin rabble behind her,

"I am well, still getting used to the change in times from what I am used to, but that will come with time I would hope." As her words lingered, Seong-Min spoke again, to answer the later question, "As for finding things... The school grounds are far larger than I first expected, and I still am getting a bit lost, though the moving staircase does not help, but I am at least able to get to where I do believe my classes are..." Another pause, as Seong-Min took her cup for a moment, taking a sip of her tea, while it wasn't how Mr. Yeong made it, it was still refreshing, "How are things with you? Are you well? How are your studies?"

Crispin usually liked the Great Hall in the mornings. Usually up and out of bed first thing in the morning, dressed in his robes and with his wild mane of hair tamed back into a bun. He would tuck a book beneath one arm and head out towards the promise of breakfast gratefully. He tended to arrive earlier than most did. Taking a seat at the Ravenclaw table and cracking open his book of choice. This one was something written by a muggle about witches, it was interesting to see the muggle interpretation of witches, if not downright hilarious at times.

It wouldn't be long though until others began to filter in. Today was a particularly important day, with the promise of a Gryffindor Vs. Slytherin Quidditch match later in the day it was bound to get all kinds of crazy. Crispin didn't think he had ever seen the Ravenclaw team get nearly as excitable about their matches as those two did. But that was to be expected. Those two houses were on a whole different level.

Soon enough he was joined by others of his house, including his friend Kiara.

"What's your bet on the Slytherin and Gryffindor quidditch game today?"
She asked with her eyebrows raised.

"They've both got strong line ups," he shrugged, glancing over towards the Gryffindors table, where Kit was making a game out of throwing orange slices in the air and catching them in her mouth. He shook his head exasperatedly, returning his attention to Kiara. "but I'm obligated to cheer on Gryffindor." Though if he were being honest, he could easily see Slytherin taking the win.

But Quidditch wasn't really his forte anyways, that was Kits territory. His place in the stands, cheering on his sister had always suited him just fine. One athlete in the family was plenty enough. He didn't want to seem rude - especially towards his good friend - so he placed the book to his side, but his capacity for conversations in the early morning always seemed to be far less than at any other point in the day. His natural quiet left him grasping for anything else to say about it, but it didn't seem to matter as he was saved by the arrival of Seong-Min to their table.

Kit always woke before the sun could even begin to crest the horizon. One would think that this would give her plenty of time to be productive. Get some schoolwork done or maybe even read ahead in some of her classes - that would have been the perfect use of this time. Hah. As if. Instead she raced to get dressed, ignoring the way her hair flopped messily into her face as she made an unbearable amount of ruckus in her pursuit. In her haste she nearly tripped over Callie, the little tortoiseshell cat yowling her displeasure at the rough treatment. One of her dorm mates groaned, another growled at her to 'shut up Kit!' but Kit wasn't chagrined in the least.

"Sorry!" She whispered to the darkness, scooping up Callie from the floor and dashing out of the dorm room. She waited until she was fully out of earshot in the common room to peer at the cat with a mock frown, "You'd think they'd be used to me by now, right Cawwie" The cat in question did not seem to enjoy being baby-talked, as she began to struggle from Kit's hold. Kicking her back feet until the girl finally opened her arms and let the cat jump down. Running away to curl up in a nearby chair before Kit could further interrupt her rest.

Kit didn't know what possessed her in the mornings, but the amount of energy that pulsed through her system was almost unbearable. Maybe it was the promise of a new day, or perhaps the excitement of the upcoming Quidditch game. And truly she was very, very excited to kick Slytherins ass. No doubt in her mind about it.

It was still a bit early so she decided not to go to the Great Hall right away. Instead, she headed towards the courtyard. Noting that the morning was finally beginning to set in. She took a deep breath of the fresh air and leaned forward to ensure her shoes were properly tied. Nothing like a quick run to get her blood pumping. Besides, she needed to let off some of that excess energy before it drove her absolutely mad. She was on her third lap before the sun had fully risen and the growling of her stomach could no longer be ignored. She wondered if Crispin was already at the great hall - if he was there then he'd have his head buried in some dinky old book. Kit would never understand the appeal.

The great hall was already fairly packed by the time she made her way there. As she moved towards the table she spotted the origami otters at the Hufflepuffs table, scampering around, and laughed loudly. That was adorable, and absolutely brilliant. Kit couldn't wait to carry out some of her own plans, but for the moment she had to focus on today - there would be plenty of time for pranks for the rest of the year. She had many plans, and all the time in the world to carry them out.

Finally, she settled herself at the Gryffindors table, a bit down the way from Cassie and the group she was with, her hunger overtaking her for a moment as she greedily reached for the plate of bacon. Stuffing a fair amount in her mouth as she listened to the nearby conversations. Most everyone was discussing the upcoming game, wondering who would win. Kit wanted to chime in that, 'Gryffindor of course,' would be the obvious choice but was too busy stuffing her face to let that bit of egoism slip through. Though she thought it would be fun to stir up the growing crowd a bit.

At some point she noticed Crispin glancing back at her as she tossed an orange slice into her mouth. She grinned, standing up and heading towards the table where he sat. She slid into the nearest open seat, nearly elbowing a first year in the face as she did so. "Sorry kid!" her sincerity completely squashed by the laugh that followed. Crispin shook his head, though she could easily see the slight twist to his lips.

"Hey guys! How's it going?" Though she was intent on Crispins attention she looked passed him to Kiara and Seong-Min. She wasn't particularly close with either of them, but Kit had a tendency to be overly friendly with just about anyone.

Despite the insistence of the risen sun beaming directly into the tower Isabeau did not dare to open her eyes just yet. She was deeply exhausted from staying up far too late. It was an impulse she seemed incapable of committing to each and every night. It had begun to weigh on her, visibly even. But the night was far more peaceful than the day, and it felt as if she achieved nothing - not classwork, not reading, nor any particular hobbies - unless the moon was fully settled in the sky.

To say the least, she did not want to get up. The very thought of dragging herself from the bed brought an angry grumble to her lips. She blinked, squinting against the harsh light. But the day wasn't going to just wait for her to start, she knew that much. So with a lot of huffing, puffing, and curse words slipped under her breath she managed to wrestle herself from the bed and into her clothes.

Looking into the mirror was a mistake - she looked more like a ghost than usual, which was absolutely saying something. She spent the next few minutes doing her measured best to brush the frizzy mess of her hair down and apply as much makeup as it took to bring some warmth back into her appearance. In the end, she at least looked as if she hadn't spent half the night awake, and most of her morning bedraggled. Small victories.

Isabeau took the stairs two at a time on her way to the Great Hall, a little more energetic now that she wasn't so entrenched in sleep. She was excited for the game later. Quidditch was the most therapeutic way of getting all her aggression out. The days after a game, whether they won or lost, always left her feeling a more peaceful than usual.

Though she wanted very little to do with the idea of breakfast she knew how radical her teammates (Or rather their Captain) would get if she skipped out on the most important meal of the day. As she gnawed on some toast she scanned the hall, noting that everyone seemed to be just a bit riled up. Whether by the game, or the upcoming tournament, or the ball that was being held as well. Isabeau dreaded the idea of any sort of formal dance. Give her a party any day, sure, but the whole concept of the ball gave her more anxiety than she could account for - and she didn't have a date, which in and of itself wasn't problematic for her. She was more than happy to go stag, but it still felt like more effort than she was willing to part with.

Hufflepuff | Werewolf x|x#a82b02

Ever since they first sat back down at the table, Cas could feel the look from Lex. That damned, upset, disapproving look. Cas didn’t know why whenever they tried to come to their friends’ aid, whenever it was Shane starting shit, Lex seemed to have an issue with it. If anything, she should have been worried about her friends, even if Shane was someone one of Lex’s friends. Which, Castiella still didn’t understand why. He was a pain in everyone’s ass, and for whatever reason, Lex seemed to be able to blissfully look past it. Something that didn’t sit right with them. But, Cas chose to ignore it the best they could, and just shrugged it off. They were only being as irritable as they were due to the full-moon anyway, at least it’s what they were using as an excuse. Not that they were even feeling well to begin with. Not that it was a valid excuse. But whenever a full-moon came around, well, they felt off. Even looked paler and more sickly than they normally did. Which, they just passed off as well, monthly situations, that only a few people truly understood even what Cas really meant by that statement. Shrugging it off.

Cas was content with the topic going to the tournament like they intended, they didn’t want to focus on that damned dance any more than they had to. They’d probably just hole up in the dorm-room or go off and do who knows what, seeing as it would be a full-moon that night as well. Which only caused their brows to furrow together as they became trapped deep in thought. Even if by the off chance of them getting put into the tournament, they’d have to somehow manage to avoid anything that involved full-moons. The last thing they’d need is to not only expose themselves for the affliction they had anyway, but turning into a werewolf around others would be anything less than ideal. Besides, they’d be putting more lives at risk, and that would be something they’d try to avoid at all costs. It was essentially a mess.

Cas didn’t know when it happened, but they had absentmindedly let one of the paper origami otters jump into the palm of their hands, and instinctively pet it and stroked the edges of the paper. The paper copy of the animal silently nuzzled into the touch of the hands that held it, as it was relatively sentient enough to act on its own, like most magically manipulated objects did.

There weren’t many things that upset them, or bothered them really, but the list was small but solid. And some of the topics being thrown around wasn’t making them feel any less uneasy. Hell, if all else failed and they needed a β€˜date’ to the stupid dance, they had some possible ideas, but none of them were truly ideal in their mind. Not who they’d truly want to go with anyway. God were they stupid. Cas found themselves shaking their head as they got out of that mindset, they didn’t need to bring themselves down or feel shitty for themselves now.
They did it enough as is. Cas just barely caught the last few people who confirmed they entered the tournament. Gently placing down the small paper creature back onto the table as it flopped about and scurried off with its friends.

β€œWell, regardless of who gets put in there...Try not to die, right?” they forced out a chuckle, looking down at their watch, β€œAlright, we should probably start getting ready to go. Potions in five.” Cas gave a soft nod before they began to stand up, and make their way over to the staff table for a moment, eyes landing on Trevor Sprout, the Herbology professor. The young professor smiled as he saw Cas make their way up to him. β€œGood morning, Castiella.” he said with a smile that met his eyes. β€œGood morning, Professor.” they said with a small smile that lasted only a moment, before they began to fidget with their hands.

Trevor licked his lips for a moment as he understood exactly why Cas had come up to him, digging casually in his jacket’s inner pocket. The two casually looked around and made sure no one was staring or thought it odd of them to be talking, which it wasn’t. People knew that these two were rather close, and wishing each other a small good morning was never out of the ordinary. It was an usual daily routine at this point, so nothing could be suspected.

The professor took another moment before he outstretched his hand, for a seemingly innocent enough handshake, and Cas purposefully wrapped his hand with theirs, completing the simple handshake before pulling away and stuffing their hands into their robes’ pockets. β€œI hope you’re doing well, Cas.” he said with a small wink. Cas gave him a small nod, β€œAlways, Professor. I hope your day goes well. I’ll see you later for class.” they both shared a small nod, and knowingly look before they parted ways with a small wave as Cas broke away and went back to the group of Hufflepuff students. Feeling the small vile in their pocket, clasping it casually in their hand. They could take it later, all that mattered was that they took it before the moon rose, they’d be fine. Cas gave the others a small smile and Lex a short but knowing look,
β€œReady to go?” they asked with a small nod as they gestured for the door as students began filing out of the Great Hall and for their respective classes. For them, it was Potions. Lovely.

Classes felt like they couldn't pass soon enough, for students or teachers as everyone knew what they all were waiting for. The announcement that would take place later that day, for who would be going into the tournament this year. Bets had been placed, jokes had been made, and whispers were spread around classes as students eagerly awaited. With Potions having been the first class for many of the 6th and 7th year students, well, to say things went by smoothly for poor professor Arthur Talbot. From a few beakers and potions exploding among all the tables, (whether they were sabotaged by Slytherin or Gryfindor, or simple mishaps could have been anyone's guess), or the constant whispering among some friends throughout the Houses. To say Arthur had his hands full throughout the first and second period of the day could only be the understatement of the century. But the class came and went, with more students pouring in after the first set of students left.

The next few classes passed by rather swiftly, but that wasn't to say any of the students made any of the teacher's jobs easy. They never did. It was only as the day went on, and eventually came of the more anticipated events for that day, the announcements. Next of course would be the Quidditch games that evening but, first the students would be finding out who was being put into such an anticipated event, and who to cheer for and so on. As classes finally came to an end, the students were all filed into the Great Hall once more, filing into their respective seating by their House benches and tables. Awaiting feverishly as silence fell throughout the room.

Soft footsteps echoed as a figure walked from the main entrance of the room, and slowly made their way up to the front of the Great Hall, taking post at the small podium at the front of the small incline infront of the teacher's table. Which was filled with all the staff, who were clearly just as eager to find out who was chosen. The figure finally spoke as the woman's face lit up with sheer enjoyment, "Welcome, students and teachers of Hogwarts."" Headmistress Minerva McGonagall spoke, her voice easily heard throughout the room. Her eyes scanned the room for a moment before she continued, "This year, we welcome you all to the traditional announcement ceremony, where we find out who will be put into this year's Tournament." her voice boomed further.

"This year, is a special one indeed. As we will have a special event coordinator with us. He's come a long way from Germany just to help with the events as he does every five years."" McGonagall said as he stepped aside, motioning with her hands as another figure rose to his feet from the table and met by the Headmistress' side. "Sir Damien Steele." she introduced the man as a roaring applause from both students and teachers filled the Great Hall, "As many of you know. He is a former Ravenclaw of Hogwarts, and former Quidditch player. Who has been so gracious to join us for our Tournaments." Damien gave a somewhat bashful smile as he raised his hand in protest, "Oh goodness. You flatter me, Minerva." Damien mused as he gave her a cheerful smile, before turning to the students. Taking place at the small podium. "It always brings me great pleasure and excitement whenever I return to my old school grounds, in coordinating such an event as this one. I've seen many students bring great honor to their House, and I expect nothing less from you all this year. For I feel like this one will be rather unforgettable-" his eyes glanced around the room at at the students, certain faces standing out to him in particular, who he quickly composed himself once more as he went on. "-As we have many talented students in each House, I know you'll do your friends proud." Damien gave a large grin on his face.

"-But, the most important thing about this Tournament? Is for those who enter, will be going against each other in tasks and challenges, all for one particular thing-"" Damien turned around and removed a silk covering, to expose a large cup. The one that students had only ever heard of, or seen once in their life if they were in their fifth, sixth, or seventh year by now. "Let's find out who has the chance to compete for this, shall we?""

A large, rough wooden goblet which was alight with blue flames appeared at the center of the room as the lights overhead seemed to dim, but didn't fully go out. The room was cast in a hellish, blue glow as Damien Steele stepped forward towards the Goblet, dancing his fingers across the old artifact for a moment. "The Goblet of Fire will decide who is meant to take part in the tasks that will unfold."" he began, looking around the room for a moment, "When your name is called, you are to come forward and join your fellow Champions. Each house will be split into Three teams, made of two. After all Champions are called forward, you may choose your teammate and we will officially begin within a month from today." the room fell silent for a moment, before six slips of paper came from the Goblet until, they flittered into Damien's hand. He took a moment to read the names.

"Your six Champions for the House of Gryffindor are...McKenna James, Harvey Gibson, Quinn Howards, Shane Montgomery, Cassie Lightborn, and Logan Pierce!" he shouted, as a mix of applause and cheers rang throughout the room as the Champions rose to their feet and made their way to the front of the Great Hall. Standing from shoulder to shoulder as the cheering eventually came to an end. Damien grinned before turning to the Gryffindors, "Welcome to the Tournament, Gryffindors. May you bring your house the Pride you Lions are so very known for." he grinned.

Within moments, more paper slips came shooting out of the Goblet, Damien catching them as he did before. Taking a moment to read them before speaking aloud, "Your six next Champions, for House Slytherin are...Jessie Carter, Stirling Patterson, Rosemary Doe, Eden Thomas, Linnea Blomqvist, and Danica Roche!" Damien called once more. The same cheering and applause thundered throughout the room once more as the Champions all rose to their feet and made their way up to the others. "Welcome to the Tournament, Slytherins. May you too bring your house the Pride that your house is all too known for." Steele grinned cheekily as the students in question.

Another few short moments passed, before more paper shot out, once more reading them off. A grin formed over his face, "Well...Ain't that something..." Damien mused to himself, before clearing his throat. "Your Champions, for Hufflpuff are...Roan Everette, Castiella Monroe, Kai Embrey, Edward Taylors, Elise Dunchamp, and Alexis Halliwell!" Damien shouted. Cheering and applause filled the room once more as the Students chosen rose to their feet, as well as Cas having to help Lex stumble up to the front of the room, standing along the chosen students. Damien chuckled at the display for a moment, "Well, welcome to the Tournament, Hufflepuffs. I'm certain you shall bring Pride to your House this year as well, you Badgers always seem to make an impression amongst the Tournament." he couldn't help but genuinely chuckle.

"And lastly, the last six Champions, for House Ravenclaw!" Damien shouted, slips of paper bursting through from the Goblet. He took a moment to read them over once more, "Crispin Finlay, Kiara Wright, Tarra Anderson, Maggie Monroe, Victoria Jamison, and Archibald Korren!" Damien announced, cheering and applause filled the air once more as the names were called. But Damien took note how this applause and cheering, seemed a bit too forced and exaggerated compared to some of the other houses. Which, he honestly found amusing for just a moment.

"Ah yes, my own former House. I'm sure you will bring the Pride our House is known for, yes?" he mused, which he couldn't help but overhear some slight laughing and chuckling from some of the students. Damien grinned before turning around to the rest of the room and students. "And there we have it, folks. Our chosen Champions for this year's Tournament. We'll see in just one month's time to see how well they all live up to their House' names, as well as show us what they all got." he mused once more, wringing his hands together infront of himself for a moment. "May you all celebrate and find who you'll be teaming up with, then speak with your House representatives later today to let them know and they'll inform me later. I wish you the best of luck, as well with the game's later today. I'll be cheering you all on in the Quidditch matches later today. Until then, enjoy yourselves students." Damien Steele announced, giving a small bow of his head as one more round of applause filled the air as he returned to his seat.

The Headmistress took her spot back at the podium once more as she had one more announcement, "Well, welcome to the official start of the Tournament, Champions and the rest of the House Students. I wish you all the best of luck with your preperations, and do not be shy to ask any of the other event coordinators that will be coming in within the next few weeks as we prepare for the challenges that will await you. As well as your last minute preperations for the Valentine's Day Ball, which is steadily approaching." and with that, the room filled to life once more as students from all sides talked aloud as they congradulated their friends who had gotten into the Tournament, or lamented that they hadn't been accepted into the Tournament.
