long, sleek, glamorous, loose curls, hazelnut auburn.
brown.
Cordi has always been described as cute, much to her chagrin. She has round cheeks with prominent dimples. However, with her recent style upgrade, she is making her way toward the sleek, sophisticated beauty she always envied.
Before her time in America, Cordi had the typical girl-next-door style. However, she saw the time away as a chance to reinvent her look, heavily influenced by the fashionable girls she saw on the American East Coast. Her style is elegant and bold.

LIKES; Because her mother did most of the cooking growing up, Cordi really prefers American food to British. She also has a fondness for muggle treats. She loves school, and she was incredibly excited to be Head Girl. She mostly hangs out with her twin brother Owen. She prefers the weather to be wet and cloudy and chilly over sunny, which is something a lot of people don't really understand. She excels at Defense Against the Dark Arts, and she really enjoys it as well.

DISLIKES; Cordi doesn't like grumpy or mean people, and she doesn't like to disappoint. She hates being ignored. Her least favorite food is fish, and she refuses to eat any seafood on principle. She also isn't a fan of meats beyond the basic pork, chicken, beef, and turkey.

She is also incredibly studious. She doesn't have any true specialties beyond Defense Against the Dark Arts, at which she excels, but rather she's a jack-of-all-trades. She does well enough to earn high marks in all her other classes, but she hasn't found any other subject that truly piques her interest and warrants a deeper study.
Despite her outgoing, bubbly personality, she is actually much more secretive than she lets on. She has internal struggles that she only ever shares with her brother, and she holds herself to impossibly high standards. She can be disorganized and takes on more than she can carry far too often. Cordi has a great affinity for defending people. She'll fight to the death for the ones she loves and even the ones she just met. It can create problems when she trusts people after they express one opinion that aligns with hers.
She and her brother both harbor guilt for leaving Hogwarts in its time of need. Their parents believed it was the best way to keep them safe from family members that ended up being actual Death Eaters instead of just sympathizers.

L E A D E R
Cordi is charming and charismatic, traits that lend well to leadership. She also sees it as her duty to help others when they need it. She often finds herself in leadership positions not just through her own ambition, but also at the request of others.
R E L I A B L E
She can't stand to let down anyone who is counting on her or a cause she believes in. She will always see it through to the end if at all possible, often sacrficing her own needs and wants to do so.
T O L E R A N T
Cordi is a true team player, and she recognizes that that means listening to other peoples’ opinions, even when they contradict her own. She admits she doesn’t have all the answers, and she's often receptive to dissent, so long as it remains constructive.
W E A K N E S S E S
I N D E C I S I V E
Cordi struggles to make the tough decisions. She spends too much time weighing all the possible outcomes, especially the effects her decisions could have on other people. This can lead to frustration, confusion, and a lack of action.
S E N S I T I V E
Although most of the time she welcomes constructive criticism, she often takes it to heart. Her self-worth is tied up in others and how much she is able to help them. She always wonders what she could do better, and often spreads herself too thin in an attempt to fix things she shouldn't.
N A I V E
Cordi is optimistic and altruistic, but it often goes a bit too far. She is caught off guard if someone defies the principles she's aligned herself with, and she often feels pity for them instead of anger, further promoting her reputation of naivety.
Q U I R K S
Cordi's most obviously quirk lies in her laugh. She has a tendency to snort when she laughs, even though she tries desperately not to. She has a horrible sense of direction and can get lost pretty much anywhere, which is why she always follows her brother or a friend to class for at least the first two weeks. She talks to inanimate objects and animals and holds conversations with them as if they talk back. Most of the time, they don't really. Although her accent is (mostly) English, she has a lot of vocabulary that is distinctly American.
H O B B I E S
Cordi is a skilled piano player, and she tries to practice at least twice a week at her busiest. She is a member of the Dueling Club and the Divination Club. At first she just felt bad because the Divination Club had so few members, but she's grown to truly enjoy it. She likes Quidditch well enough, but she really only plays because it's an activity she shares with both her brother and her father.
F A T H E R, Ophion Octavius Oliver. thirty-eight. Cordi and her father are very close. He was a Gryffindor as well, and they bond over school and Quidditch. Ophion is an Unspeakable.
S I B L I N G, Owen Ophion Oliver. seventeen. Owen is Cordi's twin brother. Like Cordi, he is a seventh-year at Hogwarts. Unlike Cordi, he was sorted into Ravenclaw. Despite this, the two are nigh inseparable. They share a deep connection that few people understand at all. She doesn't like to be compared to her brother, though, or treated as if they are one person.
U N C L E, Frederick James Wyatt. thirty-six. Freddie lives in Boston, Massachusetts, and works as a prosecutor for the no-maj state government. He consistently straddles the line between the magical and non-magical world, as he and his twin sister were born magical to no-maj parents. Cordi is close with her uncle Freddie. He's almost a third parent to her. During the Second Wizarding War, she and her brother were sent by their parents to Boston for protection, where they lived with their uncle.

The twins had a charmed, seemingly perfect fairy-tale childhood. Their mother stayed home with them while their father worked. They lived in a comfortable cottage on an idyllic estate paid for by their father's family money. They did, however, have to hide Olivia's parentage from the straight-laced, supposedly pure-blooded Oliver family in order to not be cut off. The Olivers didn't so much mind her being American, but they would not have tolerated her being a muggle-born.
Cordi and Owen spent the first part of their lives inseparable from each other, so when they got to Hogwarts it was quite a shock to be split into different houses. At the time, they both could have survived in either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, but as they grew, they began to form their own independent selves that exemplified the houses they'd been sorted into.
The Second Wizarding War was trying for their family. Their mother was outed as muggle-born, and they were sent to Boston to protect them from the Death Eaters. There, they lived with their uncle Freddie and their maternal grandparents. They also lived without the magical society they had grown up surrounded by. Their paternal extended family shunned them and their father and even tried to kill their mother.
Although America was not without its interest, their return to the U.K. was greatly anticipated. Now, they have to pick up the remains of their lives and try to keep their fractured family together.
