5'11" | 180cm
short-medium, wavy, ash brown.
brown.
Quite thin, though his form is rarely accentuated at all due to his clothing choices. He seems to have a perpetual expression that resembles a mix of boredom and disappointment. His hands have a few scars along his knuckles, but besides that his body shows no signs of injury.

He enjoys wearing warm, comfortable clothing. He is seen in multiple layers, heavy pea coat jackets, blazers, dress shirts with sweaters over top, etc. There is an abundance of texture and pattern: plaid, stripes, herringbone, all made from tweed and wool. It is almost as if he is perpetually cold. He avoids t-shirts and most other casual clothing. x x

LIKES; Kade has always found the ocean to be hypnotizing and terrifying all at once. He loves sheep, if only because there were a lot in the Wales countryside and they remind him of home. He enjoys the taste of black liquorice and spearmint for treats. He loves anything antique or vintage, even if it is out of fashion or completely inefficient. Absolutely loves dry humour. For classes, Kade particularly likes Potions and Arithmancy.

DISLIKES; Kade detests most overly sweet food, or anything sugary. He doesn't like hot weather because then he cannot wear all the clothing he loves so much. He isn't a big fan of Quidditch, which usually wouldn't be a problem, but some people seem to take this very dislike very personally. He hates anyone that is rash or impatient, and usually cannot stand to be around them.

Kade does not embody the traits of Slytherin in the traditional sense. He does not have the ambition, like others in the House, to be a great Wizard or to achieve something amazing. He almost wishes he could care that much, but finds himself completely apathetic toward most things. Aside from his few passions, everything else receives little thought or attention. This applies to people as well. He would honestly be one of the last people to help a stranger if it would endanger him in any way. Self-preservation is important to Kade; as a result, most people see him as selfish and cold. His generally quiet demeanor combined with this aspect of his personality also tends to be interpreted as him acting better than others, not wanting to be involved with other people’s lives. Kade does not mind this perception of him that a lot of people have. He has never cared much about the opinions of others.

In reality, he can care a lot about other people. When he becomes attached, he will easily sacrifice for others without a second thought. He is highly loyal to the right people. To make sure that he aligns with the best people, he approaches relationships and friendships extremely slowly. He is very picky when it comes to his choice of company, and will drop people without a second thought if they reveal that they are not up to his standards.

He is very patient and calculating, and approaches most problems with a level head. He is not one to outright manipulate people, but will use weaknesses against them if the opportunity arises. He enjoys his alone time, and is quite solitary. He trusts his own opinions over strangers, and is unlikely to take input or suggestions from other people. His independence nearly reaches a point of self-destruction, in which he will not accept help from others. Kade does have self-sabotaging tendencies, even if he is not fully aware of it.

He treats others respectfully and is obviously not outright rude, although he does have a habit of spacing out in his own thoughts and ignoring people. Overall, Kade takes a while to warm up to people, and requires a lot of patience to get through to him. When someone does manage to become his friend, he is a valuable addition and will devote himself entirely.

S T R E N G T H S

C A L C U L A T I N G
Patience is a virtue, and Kade definitely embodies it. He takes his time when it is needed, but is also able to analyze what is in front of him at a moment's notice. He is almost always able to achieve beneficial results, whether it is in potions class, or in a specific social situation.

I N D E P E N D E N T
Kade can handle anything on his own, and rarely needs the help of others. He would much rather figure something out on his own than allow others to help him. This trait also reflects his determination and ability to pick up specific skills at least at an introductory level without much help.

C O M P R E H E N S I O N
Kade excels at understanding written and verbal forms of communication. He is able to understand underlying meanings and messages within writing and speech. As a result, his essays are received well, and he never misses precise instructions; he is very detail-oriented.

W E A K N E S S E S

F I R S Txx I M P R E S S I O N S
Kade tends to come off as distant and fairly unapproachable to most people. It is a mixture of his quiet personality and expressionless countenance that makes him seem especially standoffish and unsociable to those that have only exchanged a word or two with him.

A P A T H E T I C
It is not that he is completely careless whatsoever, but more that he cannot find himself to put in more effort than just what is required. His grades are completely average, aside from the few classes he actually has come to appreciate. It goes the same way for people too. Strangers are not a concern for him, and he usually ends up avoiding everyone unless he finds someone he connects with. On the plus side, due to this, he finds it difficult to hate people either.

P E S S I M I S T I C
Kade is a firm believer in Murphy's Law: anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. His attitude tends to be a mix of pessimism and realism, more leaning toward the former. He always prepares for the worst of situations. He finds this to be an advantage, since things that usually seem out of the blue to others will be an expected result he has prepared for. However, it is no surprise that other people view this trait negatively, and often think of him as someone out to ruin their fun.

Q U I R K S

Hates making eye contact. He is often found staring into the distance or flicking his gaze around to avoid looking directly at people. Is a bit of a hoarder and collects a lot of old things, whether books, knick-knacks, or piles of vintage clothing. He actually really enjoys dressing up nice and will compliment people on their outfits if they are well put together. Has to constantly be moving, he is usually tapping his fingers on a desk, shaking his leg up and down, playing with his hair, etc. As a result, Kade comes off a bit high-strung to some people.

H O B B I E S

Reads a lot of poetry, but would never tell anyone that. He likes to memorize passages of books or lines from poems as an activity, if only to impress himself that he can remember such things. He spends a lot of time in the potions club, since it is one of his only major interests. Kade also likes to venture to the lake every once in a while: he finds it equally calming and terrifying at the same time.

ImageImageM O T H E R Aderyn Fallon. Thirty nine. Currently is a Mediwitch for Quidditch matches. Although he was not especially close to either of his parents, his mother was slightly less distant. She seemed to care for Kade a bit more than his father, and was often the one to actually take an interest in his life. She was a stay at home mother, only holding a job for a short amount of time when she finished school before marrying Cabhan. Kade has always felt like she never really wanted a child in the first place, and that her kindness toward him is only out of obligation. Whatever her love may be, Kade is still thankful that he had a mother to take care of him.

F A T H E R, Cabhan (kav + an) Emmet Fallon. Forty eight, a former Hit Wizard. Kade feels especially severed from his father. Cabhan was rarely home, due to the nature of his job. He was constantly on-call, and had to travel regularly. When he was home, his attention was on anything else but his son. Once the war hit, his father wanted to resign, but was forced to be involved with raids on homes and families under the Ministry's twisted orders. Once everything return to normal, he quit his job did his best to disappear from the public eye. His father is still often away from home, though Kade does not know why, or where he is, since he does not have his job any longer. His father's disappearances have been a source for rumours, some people even suggesting that Cabhan is a part of the unknown group attempting to harm Hogwarts Students.

Kade Fallon was born in Colwyn Bay, Wales. His father, Cabhan, was mostly an absent figure. He was raised almost completely by his mother, Aderyn. She told the story of her meeting his father to Kade often. She went to Ireland on a vacation, met Cabhan in a shop, and knew right away that she was meant to be with him. When she told the story, and its further romantic details, it always seemed like she was telling it to justify something to herself. As if she had to constantly be reminded why she was in the situation she was now. Kade could always sense this from her. He would watch her sit alone in the living room, staring down into a cup of tea with her hands wrapped around it as if trying to absorb its warmth. He watched her take care of the animals in the barn and go about her day in a robotic manner, without much variety. When his father did happen to be home, the two barely spoke a word to eachother, and then Cabhan was gone again for days at a time.

His mother took care of him, and was what anyone would expect of a mother. She showed him affection and treated him well. The problem was that he never felt connected to her in any sort of way, and she often left him to do things on his own. As a result, Kade grew up heavily independent, and often found ways to entertain himself with his mother could not. As an only child, he ended up spending most of his time reading books of all sorts, often outside by the water or in the barn where he felt more comfortable.

He associates with his childhood certain images, feelings, and smells. He thinks of the ocean-side home he lived on, and staring out into the black sea with his bare feet in the cold grass. He thinks about the time when he was ten years old, and ventured out into the water and nearly drowned. He remembers the water stinging his eyes as he stared down into the black depths swirling below him, and how he felt oddly at peace with it. Kade remembers the smell of wet wool from the sheep his family owned, and the old barn that carried the scent of woodchips in the musty air. It is no wonder that his Amortentia carries these scents. It was his childhood, a part of his life that he can barely even recall, that still carries feelings of happiness. It was a time when he did not fully realize the problems within his family.

When he started attending Hogwarts, he was drawn right away to potions. His father encouraged him to learn dueling and more physical spells, as that is what he did as his job as a Hit Wizard, but Kade was never drawn to it the same way. He excelled at anything that involved writing and comprehension, and was just average at anything else. As he grew older, he began to realize the issues between his mother and father, and felt himself distancing from the both of them. He talked to them less and less, and couldn’t wait to return to the school every year after the summer was finished.

As the war drew nearer, and the coup was enacted on the Ministry, Kade’s father was rarely heard from. His mother sent Kade messages recalling Cabhan’s unhappiness in new policies enacted by the ministry. The Hit Wizards began to be used to attack muggle-born families and “blood-traitors”, and his father was completely powerless in the situation and was forced to carry out the orders. When the Battle of Hogwarts finally happened, Kade was a part of the many Slytherin students that did not participate at all, on either side. He regrets this deeply, as he had a close friend that ended up returning with Professor Slughorn, and died in the attack. As things started to return to something resembling normal, Kade’s father retired from his position at the Ministry. Even though he no longer works, he is rarely found at their home. Since his father did take part in the persecution of many muggle-born and half-blood Wizards during his time at the Ministry, Kade has seen a bit of harassment from others at school, and from complete strangers sending messages to his mother at their home. The entire event has left him especially disconnected and apathetic, reluctant to trust anyone or to view the future with any ounce of hope.

Thomas Rohdlig & Beatrix Binns & Gregory Halliwell

The hum of the crowd seeped through the wooden walls of their locker room as the Gryffindor Qudditch team tightened the straps of their kneepads and gathered their brooms for the first match of the season. Thomas adjusted the straps of his gloves as he gathered the team together in a huddle before the game. "Alright everyone, I know... This has been hard on a lot us" His breath hitched as he stared at the faces of his teammates scarred from the battle, "but we can't let it keep us from what we love, whether that be being here or kicking some Slytherin ass" He smirked and chuckled slightly to lighten the mood. "Cord, Hana do what you do best, Finn keep you eye Halliwell, and Calli bring it home" He added a slight wink in her direction before the horn sounded signaling the start of the match. "Let's make Gryffindor proud", the statement went a little deeper than just Quidditch to him.

His red and gold Quidditch robes swept behind him as the wind roared throughout the pitch. He made his way to the center of the field, eye-to-eye with the Slytherin Captain, Kenneth Lyndon. Madame Hooch patted both the boys on the shoulders, giving them the side eye, "Alright boys, let's keep this match fair and square, no tricks or foul play. Now shake on it.". Thomas extended his hand first and Lyndon gripped his hand pulling him harshly towards his chest. "Let's see if a two year break has made you soft Rohdlig" He sneered before shoving him away and stalking back towards the far side of the Quidditch pitch with the other Slytherins.

Thomas's body tensed, and he watched the hair on his forearm raise. He squeezed his broom rather tightly and took a deep breath, he got rather anxious and moody the closer it got to a full moon. It was something he didn't want to have to think about during the match, his lycanthropy was something he hand't told anyone. Out of embarrassment or fear, he wasn't too sure but he knew people would look at him differently if they found out and that he occasionally turned into a bloodthirsty wolf once each month.

Madame Hooch's whistle pulled him out of his own head and back to the field as he jogged back to his team and secured his helmet, tightening the chin strap to where it fit snuggly on his head. "Alright, take your positions!" Thomas immediately shot into the air, a smile forming on his rather stoic face. It was exhilarating to come back to the sport he had loved after the war. In that moment things felt normal again, good. He held a single fist in the air to his teammates as they readied themselves, and watched as they followed in suit. After a few moments of silence, Madame Hooch's whistle blared and in a second brooms where flying throughout the air. The first Quidditch match of the season had begun.

Image

"Do we HAVE to be your little house elves today?!" "Yeah, come on sis, can't we just watch the Quidditch match!" Beatrix shot her two younger brothers a swift glare as she shoved note pads in their hands. "This is one of the biggest matches of the season, the first time Gryffindor and Slytherin get to battle it out since, the War. I need you to to gather all the bloody details for me, I'm already understaffed as it is". They both gave her the exact same disappointed look at the same time. Twins. "Can't you get Callista to do it?" The sound of the trumpet almost washed out Peter's voice. Bea hurriedly nudged her brothers down the steps, "She's in the match, now get out there and get my story". She watched the two admit defeat and finally trudge down the steps of the Hufflepuff section in the Pitch.

Beatrix tugged her coat closer to her body as the chilly winds of October began to settle in. She couldn't believe that it had already been a month since they all started. At first, it was weird and uncomfortable. Others were able to adjust back into the life of a student, but the lingering thoughts and feelings still held others back, she truly didn't know where she stood. Bea couldn't deny that every time she walked through the halls she couldn't help but hear the echoed screams of those who had lost their lives in the Battle. However, regardless of the pain she had promised herself to be a strong support to others and immediately threw herself back into the paper. It proved to be quite helpful, and rather calming not to mention she was working on a rather lengthy piece about the war itself.

She stood by the edge of the railing to the Hufflepuff seating section, pen at the ready as she watched the players (from her view they looked like little ants) march across the field and get into positions. She hadn't seen some of her friends yet, but the majority of them knew how preoccupied she became when she writing. Her face crinkled into a smile as she recognized some of her friends on the field and let of a little cheer, "Lets go Calli!".

Moments later her pen and pad went flying out of her hands and onto the ground of the already packed floor of the Hufflepuff section. A group of students (who she hadn't seen before) pushed past her rather aggressively. "Excuse me - ?" She said rather confused as they didn't even give her a second glance. How rude She thought to herself as she watched the group pave a path to the underside of the stand. Call it an inkling, or feeling, but something felt utterly wrong. Suddenly she lost sight of the group as the students around her shot up in cheers, waving their hats and scarves around as Madame Hooch signaled the start of the match.

She scrambled to pick up her pen and pad before pushing through the crowd to follow the students that had just past her. As she got closer to the exit she saw the tail end of the last student disappearing down the steps, and quickly ran after them being careful to keep her distance. She had no clue if anyone had picked up on her little curiosity, she hadn't seen her friends yet, but as she descended the steps the bad feeling in her gut only grew.

Gregory Halliwell wasn't having a particularly great day. He had managed to oversleep, lose his homework for transfiguration, and miss breakfast entirely. A great start to his first Quidditch match of the season. Gregory had already had a difficult time adjusting back into school after all the horrible crimes his father and sister committed, deep down it was humiliating for him. He'd never felt more alone in his life. He had a few friends here and there, Kade was one of the most understanding, but he didn't go one day without getting a rather harsh glare from a classmate. Being instantly defined by his family was wearing away on him, and he spent the majority of the year already keeping to himself. At least he still had Quidditch. Which he was late for.

He had to dash to get to the game in time, and he knew that Lydon wouldn't be too happy with him. Lyndon was a blood supremacists, a typical "evil" Slytherin, and the biggest asshat he knew. The only reason the boy got Captain was because his father handed over a large sum of money to the Quidditch team, Rory knew Viv or Esme would've been a much better match for their captain. He got a poignant glare as he dashed into the Slytherin locker room from Lyndon. "Sorry, I got caught up-" Lyndon cut him off rather abruptly, "Does it look like I care about your excuse? Get ready". Rory held his tongue and just nodded, hurriedly grabbing his pads from the locker and putting them on while Lyndon gave them a pre-game speech. "The Gryffindors already think they have this in the bag, which makes them careless. I will not lose this first game to them. Stupid mistakes today will cost you your position so I suggest everyone play like their life bloody well depended on it, do whatever you need to do to win. Now get out there". Everyone shuffled out of the locker room, but Lyndon blocked the exit with his hulking figure before Rory could follow his teammates. "I don't appreciate you being late Halliwell, do it again and your off the team" It was a curt threat but Rory was rather unfazed, Lyndon was all bark and no bite.

The wind whipped his curly hair around as he walked out on to the field following Esme and Viv out. He watched the Gryffindors do the same, his eyes on Hana and Cordelia, they were great, fierce chasers and would definitely be a strong match for him to face. Regardless, Gregory always enjoyed a challenge. At the sound of Madame Hooch's whistle he was up in the air, the Quaffle flying straight to the middle of the field. He made a beeline for the ball managing to snatch it first, tucking it underneath his right arm. He maneuvered through a sea of red and gold players furiously trying to protect the Quaffle, nearly getting knocked off his broom by a bludger.
