the badboy
Son of the principal of the college, this guy will do anything to get what he wants. His pushy personality covers up a needy insecure guy who doesn’t know how to express his feelings except through negativity. While he stirs up a lot of chaos and pushes some people around, he never intentionally bullies people. When the musician mistook his locker for the athlete’s and accidently gave him a love letter that wasn’t meant for him, he made her his “servant”, telling her that he’ll keep quiet about the letter as long as he obeys her. He loves to pick on her and very openly displays his lust for her, but he always seems to make her angry where intentionally or not. (23)

the athlete
Cousin to the badboy, this guy is the star of the school. He is loved and hated by many, though he rarely lets people’s words get to him. Though he has a very accepting nature, he tends to bottle up his true emotions and will sometimes explode on people who didn’t do anything wrong. He doesn’t like to stick his nose into other people’s business and generally keeps to himself. He has very deep feelings for the musician and his jealousy against his cousin is growing steadily. In an attempt to gain her attention, he has started to hang out with the artist, one of the musician’s closest friends. Whether he actually has feelings for the artist, however, is a whole different story. (22)

the romantic
In contrast to the athlete and the badboy, this guy has the heart of many women in his grasp. His gentlemanly behavior and host-like charms generally get him whoever he wants. Because of this he has a habit of being a little overly confident and has a hard time understanding other people’s feelings. Though he is very attractive on the outside, his personality is a little askew. When openly rejected by the artist, he, like the athlete, moved onto the nerd, hoping for jealousy from the artist. However, he has discovered that he has feelings for the nerd that he shouldn’t and is angry because of it. He often treats her badly, but it is obvious that when he realize that he has hurt her he is ashamed and worrisome. (21)

While she may first come off as quiet and harmless, this girl has a lot of power behind her pretty face. Her fiery personality often gets her into trouble, but she works hard to keep honest and true to herself. But because she is easily embarrassed, she is an easy target and often gets her feelings hurt. From a young age she was bullied because she spent more time with instruments than people, so she does have insecurities as well. Though she has feelings for the athlete, she is currently the ‘play-thing’ for the badboy. She doesn’t exactly understand him and isn’t sure she wants to get to know him, but he gives her chills in a way that she never experienced when around the athlete. That in itself may sway her decision on who she has fallen for. (20)

the artist
One might consider this girl the opposite of the musician. Though she comes off as loud and energetic, she is actually very introverted and quiet. She absolutely hates conflict and will stand for what she believes, but she tends to shy away from situations that will hurt people. Selfless would probably be an accurate word to describe her if you want to sum it up nicely. Out of most people in the school, she absolutely despises the romantic. He scares her, to put it simply, and she’d like to avoid him as much as possible. So when the athlete took her in under his wing, she gladly accepted his friendship, though in the process has developed feelings that she regrets, because she knows that the musician has feelings for the athlete. (21)

the nerd
Always consumed in her books, it is surprising that this girl is actually a very social person. She is an adept multi-tasker and will often be seen juggling a book and a friend while maintaining both activities easily. Her excessive studying has made her a little overly intelligent and it might just have gotten to her head. She often uses her brains to swindle what she wants out of others, though she does this unintentionally, not realizing that she is working on a level higher than most others. She is openly angry at the musician for the attention that the badboy is giving her and does everything in her power to put her friend down from hanging out with him. Seeing the jealousy the romantic holds, she agreed to help him in his conquest for the artist, though she may or may not return his romantic feelings for her. (22)
