Image The Story

“Okay, enough!”

The booming voice of the spectral Guardian of Peace echoed loudly around the stone room, causing everyone to stop in their tracks. The chaos in the room was unimaginable; punches being thrown, glasses smashing against the wall as they were used as weapons, and the noise was unbearable. The ten sets of eyes turned to the end of the table, where there was an empty seat – the one for the Guardian.

“That is it. No more fighting. I want this all to stop. This fighting will cause the end of the Earth as we know it, and you are all fine with that? This ends, now. If you cannot find a resolution on your own, I will have to intervene.”

The ten rulers of each race seated around the table all looked at each other for a moment, hatred and anger filling their eyes, and then, noise erupted once more. They were all talking over each other, shouting, to try and gain the attention with their idea to stop this millennium long war.

“Enough!” The voice cried out once more, and again, the room was silent.

“I gave you a chance to resolve this hatred for each other on my own, but you did not listen. So now, I will have to intrude. You will send your twin son and daughter to Hollow House, where they will be kept until a treaty is formed between them. They will reside there, until they are all companions, maybe some even betrothed. Only then, will peace be able to rule the land once again.”

The Races, in order of rank:

Elves: Elves are tall, human like creatures with extremely sharpened senses and pointed ears. Their reflexes are quick, and they are the most skilled with any weapon that can be forged, although they are strongest at using a bow and arrow. They dwell within the forest, and feel most comfortable when they are within nature. They are strong, graceful, and are not susceptible to any human-like diseases or illnesses like all other races. They are proud and noble creatures, and hate loosing anything, especially battles. Elves also are extremely curious and love to learn anything new. They do not need sleep, but can if they want to, cannot be intoxicated, and are the most serious of all the races. The only magic that elves can perform is that of “glamouring”, where they can temporarily hinder another person’s vision, making them see what isn’t there, or not see what is there – this is how elves have stayed safe over thousands of years. Elves are weakened by weapons, like most creatures, and specifically do not like loud noises, and are extremely weakened by the cold. They are not affected by age.

Vampires: Vampires are seen to be the most lecherous and greedy race out of them all. They strive to be the richest, and are extremely vain, which is because they are incredibly beautiful. Their skin is pale, their hair long, and their teeth sharp. Fangs are retractable, and only have to be used twice a day, at morning and night, to drink blood, which maintains health. Blood can obviously be drank a lot more, but as the amount of blood intake goes up, so does the intoxication level. They aren't affected by garlic or crosses, however Holy Water does burn their skin, and they can't stay out in the sun for copious amounts of time. Vampires are extremely cold, and stop aging completely at the age of twenty one - however once a vampire reaches five hundred, they are no longer aloud to reign.

Phoenixes: Phoenixes are creatures that have the ability to transform between that of a human, and than of a bird with crimson and orange feathers. A phoenix has the ability to transform at will, and their tears have the ability to heal, no matter what form they are in – it just depends on if they can cry at the time in question. When in bird form, they are able to set themselves ablaze, and within the royalty, they are able to sometimes breathe fire for a minimal time. They die at the age of fifty and burst into flames, however, they are able to be reborn out of their own ashes, but hey do have a choice. Phoenixes are weak against water, and can be stopped from being reborn if their ashes are separated.

Witches: Witches aren’t the ugly women around cauldrons that you imagine, they are really powerful magicians who can harness magic for a short amount of time. Most of their powers come from brewing potions and reciting spells, and each witch family has their own special book, containing family spells passed down through the ages. They work best in a coven, instead of being alone, and all feel the pain when fellow witch’s life has been taken. It is possible for a witch to be able to temporarily harness the powers of other races through a spell, however this severely weakens the witch, leaving them defenceless and their coven a target. They have the ability to converse with spirits from the other realm, and they also can talk to cats. Witches are petrified of fire, and they are weakened when they are separated, and when they overcharge their spells; this can be fatal. They have the same other weaknesses as humans, and age at a normal rate.

Faeries: Faeries are usually quite short, although you can find the rare tall faeries. They usually look quite childlike, and it's hard to tell the age of a faerie. When confronted, they have the ability to shrink down to about three inches tall, and this is also when their wings appear, coming out of their back. They cannot fly when in full height. They are considered harmless, playing tricks on the other races, and then running away before they can be caught and punished. They do sometimes perform good deeds however, such as stealing money from a demon, and giving it to the lower races. Faeries are also extremely fast, when they are in their tiny form. They also have the ability to "tongue", to learn any language instantly upon hearing it. Faeries also carry a special dust which can put any other race to sleep, which is helpful in awkward situations. They are at a weakness against anything made of iron, and they are drawn to shiny things, which distract them. They usually die at the age of around one hundred and fifty.

Nymphs: Nymphs are deities who are extremely closely affiliated with the earth. They have a fascination with anything to do with nature, and they are able to speak with any animal that they come in contact with. They love to dance and sing, and are incredibly care-free creatures. They can come in the form of dryads (tree spirits), naiads (water spirits) etcetera, although the many come from the forest. They are incredibly shy creatures, and have the ability to manipulate the nature around them to an extent; for example, moving vines to trap an enemy, causing storms and wind, and destroying live flowers and crops. Nymphs age at a slow rate, however they can be killed easily – either by destroying their natural habitat, or by any means that would kill a human. Also, they are extremely susceptible to dying of heartbreak. They also don’t like to be in the constraints of clothes for very long.

Werewolves: Werewolves are extremely dangers, as they can change at any moment. It is crucial that one is very careful when around a werewolf, as they have very short tempers; and their transformations are linked to their emotions. They are very nomadic creatures, and travel around in packs, rarely staying in one place for long; they love being outside, and hate being cooped up. Werewolves age slowly, and they are hot to the touch. They have to faze into their wolf-form with the full moon, however they can change at other times. When they are in their natural form however, they have no control over their actions; they truly become an animal. They are susceptible to silver, wolfsbane, and they have to obey their king, or Alpha - no matter what.

Merfolk: Merfolk have the ability to breathe underwater, and once their legs are wet, they instantly change into a long, brightly coloured tail, the colour varying for each one, meaning they can change between human and fish. They are incredibly naive creatures, and their innocence is usually exploited by the more experienced and cruel races. They have the ability to empathize (feel the things that others do) completely with other merfolk without having to touch them, however, they can also empathize with other races, but only through touch, and it isn't as strong. They also can use the water that they're in to heal themselves, but not to extreme. Merfolk are also very secretive, shy, and they age at a normal pace. Their beautiful singing voices are fatal to anyone that hears them, as they lure listeners into the sea and then drown them. They feel weak if they are not immersed in water after six hours of being on legs, however, this can be trained to go up to twenty-four hours with age. Other than this, they can be harmed like a human can, and can die easily.

Demons: Demons are power-hungry creatures, that often smell very faintly of sulpher, so it's clear when one is near. They are very good liars, and it's rare that a demon will actually tell the truth. They find it fun to corrupt and manipulate other races into becoming traitors and ruining their lives. They have the ability to change into a demonic form at night, however this is only done when wanting to scare, as demons themselves rarely like their true demonic form. Like werewolves, they age slowly, and their eyes flicker to pure black for a brief moment whenever they are about to kill. Demon's are harmed by salt, Holy Water and absolutely hate churches.

Genies: Genies are the slave race of the World. They have a specific piece of jewellery that they wear, and if that is stolen from the specifically, the thief becomes their master. Genies have the power to “grant” wishes – they are able to manipulate the world around them to make other’s see what they want to see, feel what they want to feel, etcetera. They are also good liars, as no other race has yet to realise that Genies can grant more than three wishes; they just don’t like to. A genie can free it’s master by destroying the piece of jewellery that was stolen, which will fix itself once again when the genie is free. They are skittish creatures, and are quite jumpy around others, as they do not feet safe. A Genie can be killed by a silver knife dipped in lambs blood, and they are also weakened after they “grant” wishes. They are not effected by age, until they have served their one hundredth master – then they can age and die in peace.

1) Be friendly, okay?
2) I'll know if you haven't read the rules, so be careful.
3) Each person joining will have specific rights to "reserve" a character, but others may be allowed to try out for the same character, if there is a lot of interest. I will choose the best one.
4) Everyone will take two characters, a male and a female. I know there is twenty characters, so there should be ten roleplayers, including myself.
5) In "other", in your character bio, put in your favourite pokemon, so that I know you've read these.
6) If there are any questions, please don't hesistate to ask - I will answer.
7) I'd like this to be a literate roleplay please. If you cannot post more than 400+ words per post, or two large sized paragraphs, then this roleplay isn't for you.
8) I want, need people to be willing to post every three days. I've had so many roleplays die on me in the past, and with the amount of effort that has gone into this one, I will be chasing you and beating you to death if you disappear, or do not post.
9) Swearing, violence, romantic posts are allowed, however if it gets too bad, you know where to take it, or when to cut off.
10) Enjoy this, please! Like I said before, so much time has gone into this that I'll literally murder anyone who ruins it for me! :D

Leonardo Reyes, Elven Prince

Leonardo Reyes stepped through the portal that had been created in his homeland of the forest, the blinding white light of the portal dazing him for a moment, making him close his eyes. His hands clenched around the one of his younger sister, the hand that he had taken in his before they had walked through the portal. He had decided in that moment that they were alone now, and they had to stay together, as much as possible. Her hand had given him comfort and confidence as he led her through the shimmering mirror-like entity in front of them; he wasn't sure if he would have wanted to do it without her comfort. Despite being of the highest race, and of the highest status in that race, Leo had felt a small shudder of doubt and fright running through his body - but he would never let anyone know. Ever. That just wasn't the person he was - he was a Prince of the Elves.

When the Reyes siblings emerged from the portal, it instantly closed behind them. Leo looked behind them briefly, then to his left, and then to the right, pondering for a moment, looking for any signs of life. There wasn't any. "Interesting," was the only word that came from his mouth a he let go of his younger sisters hand, and crossed them across his chest. His face contorted into a look of concentration as he wondered what to do now - were they to go into the house already? Were they to wait here until someone came out and told them to come in? Was there anyone there to let them in? This plan hasn't been thought out to it's full extent. He thought, turning back until his eyes came to rest on his twin, Juliet. He had decided.

"Well, Jules. Would you like to go in and explore our new abode? I doubt that there will be anyone else here on this deserted island, so shall we?" He smiled momentarily, a cute, crooked smile - one that was only reserved for family members and friends... if he had any. It was rare that anyone saw him smile, or laugh, or break his serious facade for even a moment, and after that momentary lapse, he changed back into the stoic Prince. With a small gesture, he offered her to go ahead of him.

Emmaline Quirin, Genie Princess

"No! I flatly refuse! I am not going! You can't make me!" Emmaline Quirin protested, as her mother pushed her towards the portal that was glowing in the gardens of her family home.
"Emmy, listen to me, you have t---"
"No! I'm not going to be cooped up in a stupid house for a stupid amount of time with a stupid amount of people! You can't make me!"
"Emmaline Quirin, you listen to me. You are going to help your brother gain us Genies some respect in this world, do you hear me child."
Emmy ignored him, and continued to push her mother away from her.
"Do you hear me child?" Her mother snapped at her, pulling her up straight and shaking her shoulders lightly.

Emmy stopped fighting for a moment, and poked her tongue out at her mother. She didn't want to go at all. It was a Genie's worst nightmare, being cooped up in the same place for a long amount of time, and her mother was forcing her and Del to go. "Del, please, make her understand? We can't be forced to go! Screw the war, let them all destroy themselves, we're barely involved! I mean--

And with that, she was shoved through the portal.

Emmaline didn't know who had pushed her, be it her twin brother, her mother, or one of the palace staff who were just getting irritated by her refusal. She flew through the white light, and landed flat on her face when she fell out. What a regal entrance. She stood up quickly, and brushed herself off, looking around briefly as she did so. She could see two people already walking in the direction of the house, and she frowned in concentration, trying to work out what race they are. However, she couldn't determine, so quickly turned around, waiting for her brother to emerge from the annoyingly glittery portal. She tapped her foot in anticipation, getting slightly anxious without him around. It was a new place, and she felt nervous being here without Delroy next to her.

"Come on Del! Hurry your ass up and get out of there."

Phoenix Prince, Brenton Aedus Vesta

“Let. Go. Of. Me.” Brenton sneered through clenched teeth. If there was one thing he hated more than being forced to go to that island, it was having guards grabbing him like some low-life citizen. Brent might not like the thought of having to become a king, but he was still a prince, and no one got to put hands on him like that. He glanced between the two guards, one on either side of him… or rather, one for each arm. Then he sighed and stopped struggling. “You know what? Whatever. I don’t give a shit anyway. I’ll walk through the damn portal.” He then exclaimed, noticing that the guards were looking at eachother. How tedious their amount of faith in him was, really. “Father,” he growled on a sigh, incredibly annoyed with the guards and glanced at his sister. Great… juuust great. Weeks, possibly years alone on a secluded island with only Aila to talk to… well, her and a bunch of other races who all hated eachother. Personally, Brent couldn’t care less about the war and would rather stay out of the shit his parents had helped continue, but instead… he had to ‘take pride in the responsibilities bestowed upon him.” Were they freaking out of their minds?

The king of the Phoenixes sighed, having grown quite weary with his rebellious son. “Let him go,” he said, nodding once at the guards who instantly removed their hands from Brent’s arms, though still staying uncomfortably close. Brent sent his father a ‘fuck you’ tight smile, realizing he really didn’t have a choice in this matter, and looked at his sister once more, lacing his tone with irritation, yet kept it light and indifferent as always. “How about it, sis? Care for a little trip?” Then, uncaring of the consequences of it, he stepped through the portal, blinking several times at the bright lights. At least this let him get away from his parents for a while. Father, so disappointed, and mother oh so resigned.

On about his tenth blink, Brent was suddenly on a beach, looking up at a huge mansion with big windows, high on a hill. Looked like it could house many more than twenty wee princes and princesses, and on that thought Brent looked around him, rolling his shoulders. His eyes caught side of a couple people, but he didn’t really care to figure out who they were or what their intentions were. He’d probably find out soon enough… besides, he didn’t really find it interesting. Serving the race and pleasing the parents… well, that was Aila thing, not Brent’s. Mostly because Brent had other things to do… like fly. The thought made him look up at the sky, wondering how far he could go. He suspected there’d be a barrier to keep them all in, but found himself curious as to how much solitude he’d be able to gain in the skies. On that note, he glanced at the ocean next to him, wondering if the distance there would be equal to the one above. That he wouldn’t test though… water wasn’t his favorite thing in the world… being a creature of fire and all.

“Hm,” he muttered, a little amused at the prospect as he began undressing. He didn’t really care whether anyone would see him – he was pretty confident about his body, as well as private areas, and he honestly had no interest in meeting the others, or seeing the house. To him, everything but the skies equaled confinement, and he really wasn’t a fan of that. At all. Birds were meant to be free, so freedom is what he’d strive for. Always.

Faerie Princess, Venus Melissa Arton

Lissa stepped through the blinding light of the portal, hoping that Pan was right behind her. She had accepted this trip because she obviously had no choice, but mostly because Pan was with her, and she felt a lot more secure with him by her side… or back, as was the case right now. One step was all I took and she was on the most beautiful beach, the warmth of the bright sun seeping into her immediately. Her face lit up into a grin, several steps following the first, to bring her straight into the rays of the sun. She laughed joyfully, calling out, “c’mon, Panny! It’s beautiful out here!” Her fear had disappeared instantly, replaced by the relief of this not being a place of darkness. She had half expected things to accommodate the vampires primarily. They were a high-ranking specie and didn’t take all that well to sunlight, she knew. She wondered whether they would be turning up on the beach too… because that probably wouldn’t go down well at all.

The pretty little faerie took a spin, but only got halfway, as she stopped at the sight of people in the horizon. They were too far away for her to make them out properly, but it peaked her curiosity indeed. She wondered if maybe they were werewolves… genies… elves… phoenixes, maybe? She couldn’t tell, not even what they were doing, and that, more than anything, bothered her. Suppose she’d have to find out then; sneak around a little. The advantage of being able to turn very little was that even the most private conversations were accessible to you. She wanted to wait for Pan first, though, and maybe take a look around. Lissa liked to know her surrounding, but she didn’t go on this little adventure alone. Not at all. She needed Pan. She had never depended much on him, as everyone had always protected her, but now all she had was her twin, and she would probably be a little clingy at first.

Fortunately Pan was a lot nicer to her than a lot of other people, which was a relief… because though she loved her brother more than anything, Pan was incredibly sneaky… even for a fairy. Mischievous man that he was, no one wanted to get on his bad side. Lissa’s gaze drifted to a hill a seemingly on the middle of the island. On it, a magnificent, gorgeous mansion was situated. Okay, so she’d been reluctant at first, but now her curiosity was merely having a ball. She still wanted to get out of there, but she had to admit that was mostly due to the fact that her parents had dictated her going. Melissa wasn’t rebellious really, or even a little defiant… she just hated to be told what to do for some reason she wasn’t quite clear on, though she always obeyed the king and queen. She turned back to the portal again, hoping to find Pan there. She really did need him to do scouting with her… perhaps they’d spy on the others a little too. Okay… the probably would do both, in their true form of course… it proved useful when you didn’t want to get caught.

Pan Arton: Fairy Prince

Pan stared blankly into the glowing portal. His hands were clasped together in front of him. His posture was stiff and still. He watched as his sister, Lissa, bravely went through first. As she vanished into the blinding light, there was cheering all around. Pan looked around him. It looked like every fairy in the kingdom had gathered to send them off. This didn't exactly brighten his mood though. It was Pan's turn to step through, but he was not looking forward to this trip at all. As the crowd watched in silence, anxious to see what the prince would do, he just stood there, staring into the light. Every one knew about Pan's rebellious nature, and they knew he opposed this whole idea. There were bets going around that he'd find a way out of this. Naturally, they were all sitting on pins and needles, looking to see if he'd step through, or turn and take flight.

Pan contemplated his next move. The portal was right in front of him, nearly blinding him with it's light. His sister had already stepped through, and he needed to make a decision. But what was he going to do? Run? Hide? Cry and complain until he got his way? None of those choices seemed very dignified. It appeared that he had no choice. He had to go through, though he was in no hurry. And besides, Lissa was already through. And who's going to protect her if he isn't there. He knew things were going to get ugly, and things may even get violent. She couldn't protect herself, not like he could. He had to go through, not for the sake of the kingdom, not for the sake of peace, and not even for the sake of saving face. He had to go through for her.

He could hear his sister call to him. "c’mon, Panny! It’s beautiful out here!" He knew he couldn't keep her waiting much longer.

At last, he made his first step, with the whole kingdom watching. He made another step, closer and closer towards the portal. It was slow and agonizing, but finally, he made it through the portal. The kingdom cheered.

On the other side, the first thing Pan noticed was the sun. Then he could make out the figure of his sister, and then he saw her face looking back at him. That was the only sight he knew that could fill him with joy, true joy. He smiled back at her. "So we're here. No turning back now." He turned to face the portal, but it was already fading away. There really was no turning back. They were stuck there until they could reach some sort of resolution, and he knew it.

Marie Dibson: Mermaid Princess

Marie crawled onto the shore from the ocean. She was the first of her family to reach it. As she crawled, she could feel her mermaid tail splitting apart into two human-like legs. She's never done this often, but she was excited about it. She began to kick her legs to get the feel for them. It was very different than controlling a tail, and walking on dry land was very different than swimming. She almost felt like an infant as she stood and tried to stand herself up straight, but she eventually got the feel of it. The island they were now on was a small island with no life and only a couple of trees. In the middle of it was a big glowing portal. She knew she was in the right place. It was smart to place the portal on this nearby island than to have it appear in their home at the bottom of the sea so that they can get accustomed to their legs and get a fresh change of clothes before arriving on the island.

Speaking of which, on the island, Marie found two bags, one with her name, and one with her brother's. She opened up hers and found a set of dry clothes. She was so excited. She'd never had to put on clothes before. The most she'd ever worn was a bra fashioned from seashells and kelp. She immediately put on the clothes, pants and shirt, and then ran through the portal without waiting for the others. They had already said their good byes earlier, and Marie was looking forward to seeing her new temporary home.

When she stepped through, she landed on the beach. She looked around her. It was beautiful. The sun, the beach, and of course, the mansion itself. "This is wonderful!" She shouted. "We get to live here?" She asked, unsure if her brother was right behind her. She knew Vincent was a bit apprehensive about this whole thing, but she had hoped he would change his mind after seeing the place. As for herself, she couldn't be more excited. This whole island was full of new things and new people. It was her greatest fantasy come true. She looked up ahead, and could already see several people arriving through portals and heading towards the house. She wanted to rush over and introduce herself to all of them at once, but decided she needed to wait for her brother.

Evangeline Marie Almora

Eva stared at the gaping portal. It was so bright it hurt her eyes, but she found she could not look away. The Princess was hypnotized by the light and that fact that it would be the thing to take her away from her... Home? That did not feel like the right word. This place, the castle, was not really a home to her. It was a residence, the place she had lived in for twenty-one years, but not a home. To Eva the word home evoked warm feelings of acceptance and love. Here the only love she had ever received was from her brother and still the entire place had been cold and empty. Her only happy memories were with Fisher as the two played, or she watched him train. Eva's parents had mostly ignored her for her entire life, and as such she had no feelings about missing this place.

Speaking of Fisher, Eva turned her head to see her brother. He was, at the moment, speaking with their parents. He looked quite serious, but then again Fisher usually looked serious. After all, he would be the King of the Nymphs someday and as such had been trained for the position in every way possible. A tiny smile spread across Eva's face at the thought of Fisher in charge. He would be a good King and he would keep peace with the races. That's what he wanted now, anyway, an end to the war and with him in charge the peace they would hopefully achieve now would continue. Well, that's what Eva predicted for him anyway. Suddenly she felt a pincer like hand grasp her shoulder.

"Off into the portal with you," the woman snapped. Eva turned her head to see it was the cook that held her shoulder tight enough to bruise. The way she spoke epitomized how Eva was viewed in this place. Everyone knew that her parents weren't considering her for Queen, and that she was ignored by them most of the time. Plus there was the fact that Eva never complained to anyone. She would simply accept the disrespect of the slaves and keep quiet, not wishing to cause trouble. So they'd all learned that they didn't have to do as Eva asked, and they could simply skip over her room when they were cleaning.

Eva hesitated, glancing at Fisher and their parents once more. She wanted... Eva didn't know what she wanted. Perhaps for them to glance at her? Maybe wave? But she knew that was silly. What Eva didn't want was to go through the portal alone, without her brother next to her. Eva always felt stronger when Fisher was by her side. Still, she knew it was not right of her to wait for him. It would be best if a representative for the Nymphs reached the mansion as soon as possible and Fisher might be busy talking with the King and Queen for a while. Besides, even now the cook was steering her towards the portal with a steel grip. Eva didn't resist, allowing herself to be guided in front of the light. If it hadn't been for the slight push by the cook, Eva might've frozen right then and there. As it was, however, the girl stumbled through the portal to the other side. She felt the ground give way slightly and looked down to see sand beneath her feet. She glanced around and felt fear thud through her veins at the amount of people on the beach. There were so many... Too many. Eva had the sudden urge to dive back through the portal, but she was frozen where she stood.

Juliet Reyes~ Elven Princess

The blonde stared at the portal that had been created in a small meadow of their forest. The bright light it projected stared back at her, she closed her eyes but not for the same reason as her brother. She was scared, scared of what would be awaiting them on the other end, scared of being on her own for the first time in her life. She knew her brother would be with her but it wouldn't be the same. She had begged and pleaded upon hearing about their venture to Hollow house, but nothing had prevailed. She reopened her eyes, telling herself she had to be brave, or at least fake it. Juliet took one final look at the place she called home, and with that she turned away and stepped into the portal after her twin. She allowed her fingers to entangle around her brothers. The simple act gave her comfort and allowed her to relax slightly. It was the same hand that had held hers since childhood, keeping her close through the scariest of times. She along behind her brother, towed along by his gasp on her. She knew that if it weren't for him doing this, she probably would have stopped moving by this point. She might be a princess but Juliet did not have the bravery of a monarch and although she didn't want to admit it, she knew she wasn't doing a good job of hiding her nerves.

When the pair emerged, hand in hand from the mirror-like portal, it closed immediately. Her eyes followed her brothers, looking around them and taking it all in. It was better than she had expected but she still wasn't thrilled. It was nice enough, it was housing royalty after all, but it wasn't home. She wasn't sure how she felt about losing her brother's hand and her safety blanket in that, but she didn't expect much else from him. Juliet composed herself and tried to put on a strong face, they must not let others see them looking frail and fearful. "Huh?" The sound of her brother's voice snapped herself out of her thoughts and left her slightly flustered. "Oh, right. Yes, I guess we might as well. Though that wouldn't be the word I would use to describe it." She told her brother, she had yet to come up with the perfect word for their new living arrangements but she had been searching her brain for a word that would suit the house of their imprisonment. She made a small smile in return to her brother's, a smile that she rarely saw on him anymore and had missed. She'd always thought it was the best look for him, he didn't feel the same way, so on the rare occasion he gave into the smile she couldn't help but do so herself.

Juliet walked in front of her brother and headed toward the house. She could see others arriving but just continued to look straight ahead and strode toward the manor. She walked up the grassy lawn, her heels sinking in a little bit, causing annoyance, could they not have put in a path up to the house. When he feet his solid stone she was pleased. She paused before the door, not only to wipe of tome of the dirt that had gotten on her shoes but to also glance over to Leonardo. She didn't know if they should just let them selves in, knock, or wait. She decided to just enter the mansion. If they didn't want them in the house they wouldn't have forced them to come. She turned the delicate handle and pushed the door open, stepping onto the marble floor of the front foyer. She looked around, it was really nice but Juliet wasn't about to admit that. She had decided that if the was going to be forced to play their little game, she would be playing it her way.

Damian Halloway~ Demon Prince

Damian waited for his sister near the front door. When she finally arrived he walked with her outside. The portal that would take them to Hollow house gleamed, the shining totempole of it's empty surroundings. His eyes took a minute or two to get used to the bright light and even then it still hurt to look at. “Well lets get on with it then.” He said stepping toward it. He looked back at his sister, offering her a near smile before disappearing into the portal. He had always been close to Skyla but he didn't see the need in attempting to do any gushy gestures, they had never been much for hugs or hand holding. And there was certainly no need for starting just because they were going away for a while. He knew his sister wouldn't hesitate to follow him, so he didn't orry too much about waiting up for her. Neither of them were afraid of going and he knew his sister never hesitated when it came to adventures. He walked straight ahead, eager to get out of this bright tunnel. He didn't waste anytime with walking slowly or hesitating before exiting, the sooner he was out of the portal the better.

His shoes hit the sand and he looked down. He wasn't expecting a beach, though he couldn't complain. This meant that they wouldn have all the ameneties one could want which would make being stuck here with faeries and other giggly little creatures much more tolerable. Once his sister had exited the portal it snapped shut and vansihed. “Ladies first Sky.” He told his twin, taking half a stop back and holding his arm out for her to go ahead of him. He watched as more and more pairs arrived. He had no interest of talking to any of them though. He wanted to get inside, out of the sun and he was looking forward to finding his bedroom.

Desiree Chamberlain

Voices clouded Desiree's thoughts as she lazily leaned against a stone wall, awaiting her brother. In the mean time, her mother and father were listing things she needed to do, things to say, and how to act. But, would this make any difference to the was she acted? No way. They were more like annoying flies, buzzing around Desiree's head, just begging to get squashed. And honestly, the brown haired woman was seriously considering it.

FInally, her rather short temper bursted, and she bolted upright, standing on her tip toes, and still only reaching her fathers shoulder. She was rather petite. "Okay! I get the picture! Can you just shut your freaking traps now?" the words just kind of came out. She didn't mean for them to sound that harsh. Maybe a simple I know would've worked... Dez thought, wanted to reel the words back in like a fish on a hook. But they were out there, and it stopped the King and Queen short.

"Excuse me?" her father barked. Yes, the one that Desiree wasn't very fond of. "You do not talk to your parents that way young lady! Do you know how much we have done for you...?" he yelled, and after that, Desiree merely tuned him out once more. Wow, she had gotten really good at that. She just rolled her big brown eyes and spun on her heel, gracefully walking away from her father. She wasn't going to deal with this right now.

No matter how much she did not want to go to that stupid mansion, it seemed that was the only way to get away from them. So Desiree took a deep breath and walked into the shimmering portal before her.

It was kind of fast forward after that. The young werewolf princess let out an inaudible whoa and stood on the beach, speechless as her gaze scanned her surroundings. Her new temporary home. She was speechless, something that never happens.

Then Desiree remembered. SHe forgot her brother! Hopefully Ash would make his way to the portal soon. She didn't like being the only of her kind here without backup. Although, she could take almost any of them if they tried to start anything.

(don't have time to post Fishers yet, have practice, will post either later today or tomorrow....)

Vincent Dibson

Vincent came just in time to see his overexcited sister dash into the glowing blue portal in front of them. Now, it was only him, his parents and three guards, standing in the soft sands of a beach near the Dibson Manor. The prince fidgeted nervously, staring at the lazily glowing portal in front of him. Vince swallowed, turning to look at his mother and father, standing hand in hand. Their grins were untroubled, and his mother gave him a small wave.

“God, it’s as if I’m going on vacation,” Vince muttered, staring at his parents. But... maybe it was going to be this easy, signing the peace treaty. Everyone in the kingdom seemed to think so, especially his sister. Marie couldn’t stop talking about meeting all the other creatures when they heard the news a week before. Marie. He loved his twin dearly, and if anything happened to her at the Hollow House, Vince would never forgive himself for letting it happen.

Turning back to the portal, he made up his mind. No matter what happens, he’s going to keep Marie safe. Letting out a calming sigh, he gave his parents a small wave, and walked (limped more like; the new heaviness from the gravity and a pair of legs he was unfamiliar with made him look like was loping) into the portal. Faster than he could blink, his parents and the guards vanished from sight, being replaced by the huge walls of the Hollow House, and the vast greenery that surrounded it. He himself stood on a beach, looking out over what looked like an endless sea or ocean. Vince frowned, surely getting out of here couldn’t be this easy...

He turned to where Marie stood, gaping at her surroundings. Vince grinned at her expression, but quickly sobered when he saw what she was cheering about. Several others had already arrived, and he knew his sister wanted nothing more than to go up and say hello. He walked over to her, and stared at the other figures in the distance. They were too far for Vince to make out anything.

“It seems so,” Vince replied to Marie’s previous question. “But, let’s take it one step at a time, right?” he asked her, knowing she’d feel his apprehension through their link.

Delroy Figaro Quirin- Genie Prince

Delroy watched, with a small grin on his face as Emmy kicked up her normal amount of fuss at being told what to do. In the uproar, his parents had not given him too much notice, all the better to relax and enjoy the show. He lazily leant on one of the solid, marble pillars of the palace waiting for the uproar to die down a little...which truly only happened once his mother pushed Em out into the portal.
Del couldn't help but smirk slightly at his mothers comment of him giving "Genies some respect". Yeah, he was real dignified. He brushed his hand through his dark, shaggy hear, before his mother's furious gaze dug into him.
"And what do you think your doing?" she snapped, ready for some more fireworks after Em.
A lazy smile flitted across Del's face.
"Waiting for Em to realise how much she adores her brother"
"Come on Del! Hurry your ass up and get out of there."
Del let a loose smile flit over his face, and glanced smugly at his mother.
"See?"
His mother returned his smile with a glare, before taking a deep breath in an effort to control herself.
"Listen. I know your not like your older brother..."
Del snorted slightly, like he hadn't known that.
"But this isn't about you. What about Em, the others...Do you think they deserve to be ruled over by other species?"
Del smile wavered slightly, before he quickly jammed it back in place.
"Yeah, well I'm planning to have some fun...and I might think about being slightly helpful" Delroy said with a bit of a yawn, before turning and running straight at the portal, turning at the last minute, to give his mother a cheeky thumbs up. His mother's face contorted in anger, but by then the bright light of the portal consumed him, and he couldn't help giving himself a rewarding smile at the thought of her face...His demeanour quickly sobered however at her words. As much as he wanted to deny it, she did have a point…
Ah well, he'd think about that later.
The next minute he was through the portal facing a large, mansion like structure that was Hollow House and a ticked off sister. He gave Em a cheeky grin, before turning his gaze back to the "house". So this is where they'd be staying.
"Miss me?" he said slyly to Em. "Well it's not bad for the middle of no where"
He said teasingly. He could tell he'd annoyed her, but hey, that was what brothers were for. He let out a low whistle as he saw the beach.
"They certainly didn't spare any expense...come on"
He started making his way towards the house. If they were going to be stuck here, he might as well make sure he was comfortable. He was fairly certain Em would follow, after all, how would she cope without her brilliant twin?
As he made his way up there he began to notice the other people coming. Most were only silhouettes, too hard to actually see properly. Delroy was partially thankful for this, he wasn't too keen on seeing some of the races...from the rumours in the Genie kingdom, most didn't look normal, though maybe his parents instructed him otherwise...not that he'd been paying attention. Rumours were more interesting than the facts.
He turned to Em.
"Did you manage to learn about how to tell the races apart" he asked confidentially. Sure they were a long way off, but apparently elves had heightened senses. Bleh. He didn't like the sounds of elves. Top of the races, or in his words- plain stuck up. As he finally reached the door and pushed it open he found himself staring at the lavished dining room.
Wow. Well they certainly wouldn't be living in poverty. He didn't mind letting he's shock show. Sure he was royalty, but he didn't mind showing his feelings...when it suited him.
"Wonder where the rooms are?"
He wondered down the hallway, there were small numbers on the doors...Oh yeah. His was supposed to be 13. Lucky him.

"Em. What was your room again?" he called behind him, before lowering his voice. Who knew who was here already.

Aileen Enora Vesta- Phoenix Princess

Brent was kicking up the usual fuss, with the added amount of swearing. It seemed he'd finally given up though, obviously he hated it still, with the look he gave. Aila gave a slight shake of her head, warning him not to take it further.
“How about it, sis? Care for a little trip?”
Aileen sighed a little at his attitude, not that it was new. She turned back to her mother, who was making sure the final touches were in place for her appearance. She'd managed to leave her fiery red hair out, giving her a little freedom, though her mother had insisted on a reasonably formal dress. It was a white, simple gown, hugging her slim figure and only high lighting her natural, flame hair. The small red sash around the middle tied the two together nicely, or so her mother said…
Yesterday it had seemed fine, however now with the actual day looming, Aileen was nervous. She had to make sure she kept the Phoenix's in third of the hierarchy at the very least, and hopefully bring them up. Appearance was part of making a good impression. Not for the last time, Aileen fingered the collar. Normally it wouldn't bother her, however with Vampires also being present, the modest, but low neckline bothered her. She didn't want them seeing her slim, white neckline. Aileen may not be as beautiful as the other races, but she had a fire about her, and she intended to present herself as well as possible.
Her mother finally finished the last adjustments to her hair, and with a final embrace of the both of them, Aileen made her way to the portal. She raised her hand in a small wave, before turning to the portal. As she entered, she squared her shoulders, and carefully lifted her chin as she'd been taught, prepared to meet the rest of the races.
When she finally came through she was not expecting Brent half naked form.
"Brent!" her tone came out exasperated, and nervous, not the best way to deal with him. She hastily bit her lip, before grabbing the clothes lying on the floor, and hastily shoving them at his stomach, carefully averting her eyes.
Her head whipped round, to determine if anyone else had seen Brent's atrocious display, before she turned her eyes to her brothers.
"Brent please" she forced herself to keep her tone down. Telling him what to do wasn't going to work. She hastily said the rest of the words, fearful he would do something worse before she could finish.
"I know you don't want to be here. That's fine, I'll handle it, you can fly to your hearts content, but I need you to do something for me. Not for our race, our parents, but me. It doesn't matter to you, but the more...brazen you are, the harder you are going to make my job. Brent, I have to give us a good name, and you...and you going around stark naked is going to make me a laughing stock. Please"
She begged him, pleading with him with her eyes. He might not care, but the more rebellious he was, the harder it would be for her to gain any respect.
She quickly looked around again, seeing that others were arriving though they were still at a fair distance not. She turned back to Brent, before remembering and raising her eyes.
"Can you please put on your clothes?" she whispered "Wait till we see the house ,and then change in your room...where the others can't see you…" she realised she was telling him what to do, and quickly changed it "please"

Brent was all the more likely to rebel if she tried to order him around.

Diana Beaumont | thɛ vɑmpiʀɛ pʀincɛss

The petite and alluring creature that was the princess of vampires stood beside the fireplace that had not been turned alight since the chilly night before. From there, she glanced over at the bright, pearly portal that awaited her presence. Through her keen eyesight the entity itself was brighter than she would have liked it to be, as it caused her to lower her eyelids just a tad with every glance she shot at it. However, no matter how much she wanted her adventure to begin, her father would have none of it. He lectured her on how to keep her mind cool and collected as if she had no idea how, amongst other little things that she was perfectly aware of.

Finally, she could not take it anymore. “Yes, yes, father dear,” she smiled sweetly, her pneumatic lips brightening up the room with just one simple act. She was tired of being treated like a porcelain doll by her father—fragile, timid, and in need of sheltering. Although she hated the races she would stay with for such a long period of time, she wanted freedom in whatever shape it came. She needed to venture off and see new things. “I understand everything. I am not a child, remember?”

She grabbed the hands of both her parents before looking towards her brother. To him, she gave a wink of mischievousness and then turned to face the portal within their music room. Diana took a light hold on the locket that dangled from her porcelain neck, and walked into the brightness before her. To her surprise, there was a little tingling sensation all over her body. She had landed on the pristine grass of the house she now faced, but it was bright daylight. Had He given her a few moments to recuperate and thus, given her advantage to run to safety? Either way, she took full advantage of it as she took off to the main entrance. Her movements were quick, quick enough to pass by a set of twins (the Elven twins) with only brushing lightly against them.

Asher Chamberlain | thɛ wɛʀɛwolf pʀincɛ

“Who knows? You might even find someone while you’re over there, my dear boy,” the Werewolf Queen spoke, her words fluid and slightly teasing. Even after their little discussion with Desiree, their mother just bounced back. She was a handsome woman with strong, yet feminine features. And the grin on her face made Asher want to attack her—in a playful way, of course.

Asher decided not to talk about that subject again. They had shared their views on the subject frequent times, but that wasn’t what was filling up his entire head at that moment. He had yet to meet everyone, which he wasn’t looking too much forward into. There were sure to be fights and plenty of them, surely something to always keep him on edge.

He was about to exchange a few more words with the royalty of the land when his twin sister passed through. He had hoped that she would be kinder towards their parents or at least reconsolidate with them before leaving, but that hope died fast. He sighed, waved at his parents, and them stepped through the blinding light. Once there and behind his sister, Asher wrapped his arms around her in a bearhug and walked as he talked with her up in the air. “Maybe you were a bit harsh?” he chuckled and teased her, “you’re so moody, little sister.”

_Xander Marcos Beaumont_~Vampire Prince

Xander basically glared at the portal, or at least as much as he could without giving himself a headache from the light. It had popped up out of nowhere, shattering his peaceful darkness in the music room, and now his peace of mind, granted that was in very good order since his parents came home and told him and his sister what was needed from them. They had to go to a secluded place, locked away with other princes and princesses from each race, stuck there until a treaty was made. Like that was going to happen. Each race was different, and with differences comes conflict, every time, he doubted there was a way around it. But wasn’t there? The thought had crossed his mind once, just fake it, get a treaty signed, get it over with, come back home and move on with their lives. But then, there was always that fact that the treaty would be enforced and he knew that not everyone could get along, it wasn’t in anyone’s nature, no matter what race.

But he knew he had to go through, as his flat out refusal last time had been shot down with a flat out no and you’re going from his parents. His arms crossed across his chest as he waited for his sister, their father once again acting like she was his precious little glass sculpture. He wanted to roll his eyes but he knew that would get him a glare from one of his parents, and acting like a rebellious child was not what royalty should do. So he just waited, the darn portal giving him a headache from the glow it emitted, he didn’t like the idea that he had to go through it, let alone find out what was on the other side. Finally his sister had enough of father’s coaching on how to act proper and whatnot and headed to the portal, giving him a smile on the way. He knew she would like the adventure of being somewhere new; she was cooped up too much of the time.

He rose from his spot and nodded to each of his parents, none of them giving any words of farewell, his mother gave his hand a squeeze and he headed off behind Diana. His eyes shut at the light of the portal and then instead of the wooden floor of the music room he heard a soft brush and he opened his eyes a crack to see that he was standing on grass. He stole a quick glance behind him and he saw the portal close in a small flash. He growled to himself, rubbing his eyes as he was no regretting the glance and on top of that, it was daylight, he was not going to be happy later. He head rose and he saw that Diana was already running for the manor, there wasn’t time to stand admiring it, and he ran after his twin. He didn’t know who he ran past, and at the moment he didn’t care, he just wanted to get out of the light that was making his head throb.

Agatha Lanshier

Agatha was sleeping in that morning, she did not care what so ever what others thought or what her parents though, what her brother thought. Agatha hated mornings and disliked being up early. They'd have to drag this witch out of bed and go through living hell before she was to get out, everyone knew not to wake Agatha before she woke up herself. It just wasn't practical. Several witches in her coven tried waking her up before but only ended up with burned off hair or drenched clothes or anything else. Point being just don't wake her from her slumber. Sooner or later a stupid bird had woken her from her slumber, she picked up a rock from her rock bowl she had and chucked it at the damn thing that had wings, it sickened her, not everyone was a morning riser like them, they needed to be more considerate of who was in their presence.

She got out of bed and her feet didn't make the slightest sound as she walked down the hall and finally came into the kitchen they had. She opened the pantry hoping to find something to eat, this was useless. She slammed the pantry shut and then paced the kitchen back and forth a few times. Wasn't something supposed to go on today? Some was indeed, whether it was important or not Agatha didn't know and didn't care. Most days her family would tell her to come out at least wearing pants but point being she wore underwear, something was covering that general area and they didn't see it so why complain, at least she found the decency to wear a shirt downstairs. Agatha rightly didn't care, they were family and wearing underwear and a bra wasn't going to hurt anyone, it's not like she offended someone, she'd look the same if she was wearing a bikini, daft people just didn't quite understand her hardships. Agatha had freedom and when they told her she couldn't wear that downstairs they took away her freedom.

Agatha sighed and went upstairs to just lounge on her bed and read the book of spells. She managed to find her calender on her bed side and saw what today's plan was and groaned. Why did she have to leave today? Yes indeed it'd be the most joy she'd have in bothering some people and making them do as she pleases but too early in the morning like so could alter her mood. She did a rocking motion to help herself get off her bed and then she finished packing her bag and made sure to keep her book of spells in there, although she kept it hidden. Agatha quickly put a spell on it to make it appear to any other race that it indeed was not a spell book it was just a simple book on histories, which caused less drama for her in the long run. Without her spell book to guide her she wouldn't be anything and her potion recipes were in that book as well, although they didn't look like much just pointless stuff really considering she gave everything her own code.

Finally at once Agatha pulled on some pants and a blouse that would look quite nice, she didn't want to look like she just came from the dumps but then again she never really did. In short matter of time she had her hair and make-up done to her liking and then she slipped on some shoes, although she preferred to be shoeless and run with bare feet but that wasn't too appealing to most people.

Grabbing her bag, shutting her light off, and shutting her door she went down the hall took a left and then took a right and went down a flight of stairs. She then took a left in the middle of the stairs where the wall was and she shifted the bricks and opened a secret passage. She walked inside the hall and then walked down a small narrow stair case and it went down in a spiral. She then took more turns and all that and ended up on the other side of their stone castle. Agatha then went through a secret door to go out into the main area again. She went up the main stairs and then took a right and kept following it and entered a door and then found a new set of stairs and after going up those she knocked on the first door on her left. This was the room she had believed was her twin brother's. She hadn't remembered exactly where his room was but she could only guess this was it.

Skyla Halloway -]Demon Princess

Without shilly-shallying and little thought, Skyla slowly stepped into the portal (gateway of doom) after her brother. It was bizarre thinking of how this was all supposed to pan out, the blonde had never really heard of something so odd as her current predicament. But then again, why would someone have ever sought for such an happening to take place in the beginning? Every race has its own position in this fraudulent society and altering the nature of it all would most definitely finish in strife.

As the blonde demon was pulled from her thoughts all she could wonder was why it was so damn bright. Did no one think of every species when they decided to chuck them all together? The only answer she had for herself involved a large assortment of colourful language that consisted of words numerous found appalling and vulgar. "I already dislike this place," she muttered distastefully, already continuing after her brothers incline. "Too much sand." Taking little notice of the already arriving others , Skyla slowed down a few paces to allow for Damian to catch up, she knew he had just as much dislike for the sun as she did herself. Maybe it's a twin thing.

Kane Lanshier - Witch Prince

"Sister-!"

"Agatha, so glad you could finally make it." The strong and tasteless voice of one Witch Queen spilled out of the young Princes room like bitter waves beating against a wall of sand. Kane stood to the side of his mother, the handle to his bed room door clenched firmly in his hand. Kane was uncertain as to what had kept his older sister from arriving on time, but he was sure her rebellious needs and want to sleep in were the culprits to such tardiness. He was unsure their mother would see her late arrival just an inconvenience as he was convincing himself. "Mother-," Kane tried once again. "Agatha, I hope you have a good reason for such disobedience of my set time for your send-off. As I've told you for the past week, I will not put up with such inconveniences as I have before. This little gathering is important and I will not allow for you to be the one who shames our family name if you do not make it in time." The bitter woman looked down at her offspring, flat dark hair framed high cheek bones and hollow eyes, making her unfeasibly pale face seem to glow that portion more. "As for you Kane," pupiless eye set onto the youngest of the three, "I expected much more from you. You of all people should know how vital this agreement is, I would have thought you would have taken more precautions into making sure your elder sister arrived on time." Guilt began to well up inside the Witch Prince, making him direct his eyes to the ground shamefully. Nothing hurt more than his mothers displeasure. Said woman gazed unfeelingly at her son, she would not take anything less than perfect and Kane was aware of this. "I apologise for my failing initiative mother. It won't happen again." It was times like these Kane just wished he didn't sound so controlled and obedient, why didn't his mother just refer to him as 'dog'? "As for you young lady I'll deal with you when you return, as for now you're both behind schedule as it is and must hurry."

The Queen Witch turned on her heel and waltzed back out of the door, pushing past Agatha with little more than a glance and continued her way down one of the numerous halls that founded the house. "Follow, children."
"Come now, Agatha, we mustn't keep mother any longer. Let's not leave on too bad a note..." Gently, Kane pulled the door closed and placed a hand on his twins shoulder.

Kane followed his mother and came to a halt a little ways behind her, the light of the portal momentarily blinding him. "Well, what are you waiting for?" The elder witch questioned irritably. He didn't waste any more time and stepped into what was sure to lead to nothing but disaster.

Desiree Chamberlain

Although Dezzy did have rather sharp hearing, the way her brother came up behind her and embraced her made her jump with a startled squeak. "Ash!" she protested as her feet were lifted off the ground. Luckily it only lasted a moment, and she felt earth under her. She grasped his arm and gave it a squeeze before turning around to faace him after he commented about her being 'moody',

"Okay, first of all, I am not moody. I just don't like being told what to do." she corrected. Jeez, people just didn't understand the difference these days! "And second of all..." she started and playfully pushed his shoulder with a sly grin and a laugh of amusement. "... who are you calling little? I'm pretty sure we have the same, exact birthday." Desiree looked around, her feet guiding her in a 360 spin as she took in her surroundings. Yep, she was lost. If Desiree was horrible at anything, it was directions. She's lucky to find her way home let alone some mansion she has never set foot in before... especially with other... species.

Desiree's wavy long brown hair cascaded down her shoulders as she spun in a smooth 360, taking in her surroundings. Yeah, still nothing but beach and trees. They most likely had to follow a path. And Desiree was right. A small stone path led into the woods, and when she peeked through it, she spotted a huge mansion.

"Never mind... I think I found it..." she mumbled in awe.

Fisher Almora

Fisher patiently spoke with his parents, but honestly, itched to get away. He was getting tired of them piling on things to do, and things not to do. And about two minutes after his sister left, they sent him off. With a relieved sigh, the quiet man turned and strided towards the portal, and walked into it with no hesitation. When he regained his footing, he saw his sister, Eva, and a large house. A mansion.

"This must be it..." Fisher told himself quietly and caught up to Eva, placing a protective hand on her shoulder.

"Wait up!" she told her with a sincere half smile that he could only give family. And mostly her sister. His kind brown eyes looked around and he took a rather nervous deep breath, letting the crisp morning air fill his senses, and the sound of the chirping birds dance in his ears. He could stay out here the whole times, and he'd be fine. BUt no, he had to go make friends with the other races. That he wasn't all too fond of.

WIth a heavy sigh, the Nymph Prince ran a hand through his matching brown hair, and rolled his shoulders, attempting to relax.... well, as much as a man could. His rather unfocused mind kept wandering back to his home. The lush green trees and their bush partners. The buzzing bees that relied on the colorful expanse of flowers for survival. Yeah, most guys thought nature was stupid. Flowers are girly! Tree's are pointless! Well, for a nymph, that was their lifeline. Their key to survival. Without it, there would be none. And their enemies could take advantage of that. One reason why them nymphs were rather vulnerable, easy to target. Although the other species thought they were the easiest to terminate, they never expect the happy-go-lucky, singing and dancing, eco-friendly hippies (had to put that reminds me of my geography teacher) to put up a fight, when in real life, they were lethal enemies. Some people just needed to live outside their heads sometimes....

But of all people, that's Fisher. Exhibit A, he daydreams about this crap all the time. Well, more like day-nightmares. Shaking the thought form his mind, he walked alongside his twin sister, grasping her smaller hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze of reassurance as they approached the Hollow House.

Leo Reyes

Leo followed his younger sister, up the large grassy pathway that led up to the abandoned house. What the house has been used for in the past, before it was decided to be the prison of twenty twenty-one year olds, he did not know, and in all fairness, he didn't want to know. He walked in silence, his mind bouncing around with thousands of questions as he walked. Elves are natural inquisitive and intelligent creatures, and Leo was a classic elf - thinking about and analyzing everything that he saw. His hands stayed crossed across his chest as he went, and his head was still held high. His pointed ears caught sounds coming from behind him, noises of other couplets of twins arriving on the island, but he didn't turn around to see what they were. He heard someone say "Did you manage to learn how to tell the races apart?" But didn't pay much attention to it. Then, a variety of scents hit his nose, and he felt as if he had been smacked in the face. He tried to keep his face straight, but it probably faltered for a minute as he adjusted to the new smells.

The variety of different smells was horrible. He hadn't been in contact with any other races before, but he had read books on them. He knew that the sulfur smell that he could sense was that of Demons. The smell of ash came from the Phoenixes. The dog-like smell, which wasn't completely pleasant, but not unpleasant either, was that of Werewolves. And that smell of rust, or iron, came from the two flying bodies that had just brushed past them, was that of the Vampires. He was jolted to the side slightly with the bump from the female Vampire, but he composed himself quickly, and carried on advancing into the house along with Juliet.

Once they entered, he was astounded by the grandeur of the hallway. The spiral staircase going up to the first floor, the chandelier... it slightly resembled his own home, back in the forest. Leo's hand slipped into his pocket and gently brushed against the piece of bark in his pocket - that piece of home that he had brought with him. It instantly comforted him, and soon, he was walking once again with his hands at his sides, almost marching, royally until he was next to his sister. "Shall we look for our rooms, dear sister? Our names seem to be on this list here. I'm assuming our bags have already been placed there."

Emmy Quirin

"Oh yes, I missed you more than anything, you arrogant ass." Emmy wouldn't admit to her brother that for the brief moment she had been alone here, she had missed him, yes. But he'd never know that; he'd let it go to his head, and then she would never be able to get him to leave her alone, or shut up about it. So, she kept her mouth shut. However, she stood close to her brother as they walked up to the large house, even though she stood confidently. She didn't like it to seem as if she was a weakling compared to her brother, but she couldn't help but be a little cautious about going into the large mansion. She hadn't liked the idea of coming here in the first place, but now that they were here, she felt even worse about it. Stupid war.

"Have I learnt how to tell them apart?" She asked her brother, cocking her head to the side curiously. "Well, obviously, I know how to tell some apart. The sulfuric stink of the demons, the usual blood stains on the cloths of the vampires, fire coming from the rooms of Phoenixes, water dripping from the mermaids, faeries leaving glitter everywhere. Was that what you wanted me to learn?" She teased him back, nudging him softly in the elbow as the house loomed over them. Soon, they were inside the house, and the genie felt her mouth dropped to the floor in amazement, and her eyes almost pop open. She had never seen a place so beautiful, so elegant and so homely all at the same time. The genies are the poorest of all of the races, hence the slave race thing, and it was rare that they ever saw grandeur like this. It was a rarity. But a god-damn nice one. Maybe this stupid little trip wasn't going to be that bad after all, especially if they were living in a place like this.

On the wall by the door, there was a list of names and room numbers, obviously indicating the rooms in which they were staying. "Oh that's good, putting a genie in number thirteen." She laughed at her unfortunate brother. She continued to read down the piece of paper. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the dining room at ten o'clock, two o'clock and seven o'clock, and would be catered by magic. Well, that could be interesting. There were other little bits on the paper, but they seemed of little significance.

"Come on Del, I wanna' explore! Lets go check out our rooms, and have a search around."

Venus Melissa Arton, Faerie Princess

Lissa cast her brother a bright smile the second she saw him, grateful that he’d decided to come with her. Pan had this thing about not really accepting her parents’ wishes. Sometimes she wished she had the courage to be just as rebellious, because she disliked being told what to do just as much as he, though they dealt differently; she reluctantly accepted, whereas Pan usually found a way around it. She’d always admired her 10 minutes older brother for that. Often it didn’t feel like just ten minutes. Pan and Lissa had the twin-bond, sure, but Pan was no doubt far older than his younger sister when it came to matters of the mind. It wasn’t that Venus wasn’t clever or intelligent, but rather that she wasn’t all that mature – mostly because she didn’t wish to be. Lissa cherished being young and able to fool around while it was still somewhat acceptable, so she didn’t wish to let go of it before she absolutely had to. She did have her moments of ourse; Mel could be serious when required, but that really was ever so rare.

"So we're here. No turning back now." Pan said, making Lissa cock her head slightly, watching him. It wasn’t the words, but rather the resigned tone with which they were spoken. It was a simple statement in itself, but it made Lissa want to hug him and tell him they’d be out of there soon. Especially as he turned to see that the portal had disappeared. A soft sigh emanated from her delicate lips and she took a couple of steps towards her beloved brother, wrapping thin arms around his torso in a reassuring hug. She put her head on his shoulder and smiled softly, glancing at the strong features making up his face. Even though she was behind him, Lissa could just see his eyes. “Might as well enjoy it while we’re here. It’s pretty gorgeous, right?”

She was trying to make things seem at least a little better, and on that note the princess thought of one thing that always cheered her darling brother up; mischief. “Wanna go spy on the other races? I spotted a couple of them, and I’ve grown quite curious as to who they are.” She gave him a gentle squeeze before letting go to take a few steps away from him, heading for the mansion, though front still towards him, grin already back on her face. She felt confident Pan wouldn’t be able to pass up the opportunity. He was a lot like her in that department; difference was that Pan often tried to spot weaknesses and ways to play mean tricks on people, where Lissa merely loved learning new things. She didn’t mind her brother’s shenanigans at all, though, even as she was different herself. Of course, all faeries loved having fun, teasing and fooling around, but Lissa tried not to hurt anyone in the process… at least not badly. It just wasn’t fun to her if people got hurt.

It always was to Pan, she knew, but that was the way of her race, especially the prince, and she’d grown so used to it; barely even noticed anymore. Her sparkling eyes had their usual mischievous glint as she watched her brother, her smile big and joyful. Melissa didn’t like worrying much, so the dangers of the others as well as many other aspects didn’t occupy her thoughts. Of course, she was no fool, and they had fluttered about a little, but they weren’t pressing concerns, and so she’d put them away for later considerations. Her main objective was to make several more smiles like the first, appear on her twin’s face. She had always loved that.

Brenton Aedus Vesta

Brent chuckled at his sister’s words, amused to no end. He had been in the process of taking off his socks, wearing only those and underwear, when his sister had spoken. He’d noticed her presence the instant she stepped onto the sandy shore, not because he’d seen, or heard her, since before sound even registered with him, flowing through the air, the bond between them had told him that she was near. It had always been strong, despite their differences in… well, everything, so it was a bit odd that he felt this potent a connection to his dutiful twin, though it was fact that he was aware when she experienced strong emotions, no matter the distance, whether it was love, fear, hate or anger, along with being able to tell when she was near him. He’d also noticed that anger and irritation tended to seep from her when she was near him. Ah well, it was the way of the world. Brent knew his sister loved him, just as he did her, albeit he was a lot more protective of her than she knew.

He remembered a couple of years ago, when this guy had gone on and on about the ‘hot’ princess. Brent had been in a bar, chucking down alcohol, a reaction to a recent fight with his darling parents, and the idiot had begun talking about the ‘dirty things’ he’d do to her. Unexpectedly, Brenton hadn’t been uncaring of the offensive words, as he usually would, because this time they had been about Aila. It was safe to say that the guy would never speak again, not because Brent had killed him; that wasn’t his style, but rather because the guy had ‘accidentally’ lost his tongue. A very unfortunate event, really. The prince had informed everyone that further sound of such talk would be severely punished. He’d surprised himself that night, not even caring when the blood spilled on his hands and face, and though rumors of his brutality had since fluttered about the city, Brent had never spoken a word of the incident. Not even to Aila. Actually, especially not to Aila.

Now, one shouldn’t mistake Brent’s lack of caring for love of violence or cruelty. He had not liked what he’d done, had felt no joy from it, except in the aftermath when he’d made sure no one spoke of his sister like that ever again. It had merely been done, and that was that. He felt no further need to wallow in it or gloat for that matter like he knew many men did, because he’d never cared what anyone thought of him. His sister, however, somehow sparked a little bit of something in him. A little glint of caring and softness. He had no clue why really, and he wasn’t entirely sure how he felt about it either.

Her words had brought him to stop, though still chuckling. He put his sock back on and straightened himself, watching his sister for a little while, having accepted his clothing, casually cradling them in his arms. He’d never understood her in all honesty. Why did she care what the other races thought of her? Her need of sacrificing her own wants and needs for others, was lost on him too. What an odd pair they were. He loved how she was so careful of how she spoke to him – clever, really, as Brent had a tendency not to take well to any kind of commands. He knew Aila wasn’t trying to order him around, however; she was just desperate when it came to this. He knew she wanted to please their parents, and she was probably right that his behavior was going to stand in the way of that. He was absolutely sure that this wouldn’t be it though, everyone was too far away to make out anything.

However, he didn’t exactly want to make his sister unhappy, and he was aware that she was terrified of returning home a ‘failure’ even as he still couldn’t grasp why. He cast a wry smile in her direction, putting his black t-shirt back on. “You worry too much, sis. Really, everyone’s too far away to notice anything I do right now. Besides, you shouldn’t care about what they think of you. Most of them are beneath us in rank anyway. But I’ll bite this once. Just don’t expect me to keep it up.” He said while tugging his jeans back on, closing them. He was teasing her a bit at the end, though they both knew he wasn’t kidding. He smiled yet another wry smile and brushed sand off of his socks, inserting feet into shoes. He was a bit annoyed that she was making him wait, because he really needed to just get away from everyone; he was still quite irritated with their parents, and he had to work that off, else he’d have to take it out on someone else, which Aila probably wouldn’t appreciate much either.

However, Brent started walking towards the mansion, glancing behind him at his redhead of a sister. “Well, are you coming then? We should go make introductions, right? Isn’t that next on your list?”

Juliet Reyes~ Elven Princess

Juliet had difficulty keeping a straight face, the multitude of smells hit her like a ton of bricks. She hadn't noticed it too much while there were only a few others around them. She had never been around anything but elves and had never experienced scents to this magnitude. Once inside the house the intermixture of all the smells became even worse. She was beginning to wonder how she would be able to survive living with it all. The front foyer's design was similar to that of her own back home but she still believed her own to be far better.

"I can only hope, I really want to change, these shoes have gotten a bit dirty from the grass. And we must look presentable for our first real meeting with the others." She told her brother. She moved closer to her brother, then peeping up onto her tippy toes as best she could in high heels. She read the clean sheet of nearly white paper which was posted up on the wall over his shoulder. "It seems we're on the second floor." She thought aloud. She headed toward the spiral staircase but paused before actually stepping on them yet. Her ears picked up the sounds of others rushing around and exploring for themselves. She reinstated the somewhat serious face and began walking up the spiral stairs, her hand running along the railing as she went up. She held her head up high and walked straight, in her monarchistic sort of saunter.

When she reached the second floor she scanned the hallway for their rooms. When she found the doors, one on either side of the hallway. One with the number fifteen and the other sixteen. She gave a slight smile to her brother, as if to say 'Well, here goes nothing.' She turned to the door that held her room and took a deep breath before reaching for the handle. She turned the delicate handle and let the door swing open, revealing a beige toned room. She had been expecting something far less beautiful, either more prison like or more related to elves. The room she received however, was very simple yet classy. Juliet thought it was quite pretty and resembled something of a royal nature. She allowed the door to slowly swing closed, she then pushed it all the way closed and twisted the little lock. She took of her shoes, leaving them near the door and moved around the room to a door. She was slightly disappointed that it wasn't the closet, but she was astounded by the bathroom before her. She was beginning to think that at least this wasn't going to be entirely like a prison. She closed the door to the bathroom and continues to search until she found the closet. She was pleased to find her clothes and things had all been placed inside. She changed into an emerald green dress, that reached just above her knees, a pair of nude pumps. For jewelery she chose diamond studs and a green ring that was her mother's. ([url=http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=49490409]Like so[/url)

Juliet then exited her room and knocked on the door of her brother. "Leo, I need your opinion on something."

Damian Halloway~ Demon Prince

Damian looked at his sister and smirked. "It's awful, get's stuck in your shoes for an eternity." He agreed. It made him rather annoyed that they had made sure to make it pleasant for those who enjoyed the sun and didn't seem to have thought about those who found it dreadful. He walked quickly, his pace matching that of his sister. They had always been close and had some what of the mythical twin telepathy. He knew that she also wanted to get out of the sun and off of the sand. They soon achieved just that. Damian exhaled a slight sigh of releif as they crossed into the shade under the covered area before the door. “Shall we?”

He pushed open the door to their new home away from home and looked around. He spotted a list hanging on the wall. He went over and glanced over it. He found his name and that of his sister quickly. “It's seems as though we're on the first floor up.” He told the blonde. “I believe we should go explore.” He said heading up the spiral staircase. Once he reached the top he scanne the hallway, their rooms were easy to find as they were the first of the numbered bedrooms on the floor. Before opening his door he turned to his sister. “Well here's to hoping for something decent.” He pushed open the door and looked around his new bedroom. He was pleasently surprised. The room was nice, half white but with dark tones spread throughout it. It was modern and warm yet dark and welcoming to him. He was quite impressed with the room. He kicked off his shoes and grabbed a new pair form the closet. He'd have to clean the sand out before wearing them again.

He exited his room and went over to that of his sister. He didn't bother knocking and just let himself in. “So Sky, how's your room?” He asked while pushing the door open. “Hmm, not bad.” He commented sitting on the arm of a plush looking chair near the door.
“Are you ready to go explore the rest of this place?”

Pan Arton

Pan hugged his sister as she hugged him. He enjoyed her affectionate nature, and her hug really did help him feel better about his current situation. He knew, however, that there was no hope that they were going to get off that island any time soon. It's going to take much more than a few days to undo years and eons of bad history between all of the races. But for her sake, he was going to play along.

She asked him if he thought the place looked gorgeous. He actually had to think about it. He didn't really get a good chance to look around him, and he didn't really care to. He honestly didn't want to get attached to the place, or to think of the place as anything other than a prison. But at last, he managed to take one quick glance at the place. "Yeah, I guess." He answered. "If you're into this sort of thing."

When she released and suggested spying on the other races, Pan smiled, but not for the reason she might think. Pan loved seeing Lissa embrace her more mischievous side, though what she called mischief, he called 'psuedo-mischief'. The kind of things you want to do to say you've gotten into trouble without actually getting into trouble. Sure, listening in on other's private conversations may be considered rude and inconsiderate, but what's the point if you're not willing to take the information you have learned to humiliate or even harm the other person. Pan knew that Lissa would never stoop to doing anything like that, which he was just fine with. He didn't want his sister to be just like him, and in fact, he would hate it if that day ever came. He enjoyed Lissa just the way she was, and would never want her to lose that sense of innocence.

"Okay, sounds like fun." He told her as she began walking away, returning a smile back at her. He had no idea how much good quality time he's going to have left with his sister on this island, before everyone settles in and gets into 'business mode' trying to find peace, and then eventually into 'down right war' mode, which he knew was coming. And by the time that mode comes on, he'd be less concerned about causing mischief and more concerned about keeping her sister from getting hurt in the crossfire.

He ran in the direction of his sister, towards the house, towards the mass congregation of races heading inside. His body growing smaller and smaller and wings emerging from his back. His clothes slipped off his body, but he didn't mind it. He flew towards the others, unsure of which ones his sister had planned to spy on, but was sure that any pair would've sufficed.

Marie Dibson

Marie began to feel overwhelmed as more and more pairs of twins arrived on the island. They all appeared so very far away, but appeared to all be converging towards the house. She couldn't wait to get inside and make friends with every single one of them.

She turned to see her brother coming through the portal behind him. And already, she could since a deep sadness inside him. This, in turn, made her sad. She approached him and placed her hand on his shoulder to console him. "Don't be sad." She told him. "This is going to be fun. Just look at this place. Everything here is so beautiful, and so different. And if you get home sick, there's an ocean right here. I know it's not home, and you won't be able to get home from here, but it's still just as good. But look at this house. How could you not fall in love with this house?" She turned and looked at the manor. It still impressed her. "And I bet it's even better on the inside. As for the other races," She said, knowing that that's the one thing her brother feared most, "They're just like us. Sent away from their own homes to live with us. But they're not going to hurt us. We're here to make friends, remember? Just go in there, don't be shy, and be yourself, and everything will turn out fine."

She turned back to face the house. "Everybody's heading inside. We better hurry, or else they'll all go through their introductions without us." Leaving her brother behind, Marie rushed towards the house. Marie knew there wasn't much else she could do for her brother if her speech hadn't had helped enough, and she was just too excited to meet everybody. She knew that Vincent would be fine, and once he met the other people, they'd be so nice and friendly, that even Vincent will begin to feel comfortable there. They were going to have a grand time!

Vincent Dibson

Vince stared at the new pairs of twins appearing ahead of them. He swallowed nervously, the realization of what’s going on hitting him with a full force. They would have to make friends with them. All those foreign creatures with different traditions and backgrounds... and morals. And how long would that take to happen? He and Marie might have to stay here for years before they get anything done, never getting off this island, completely cut off from their family and home... Vince looked down, clenching his fists in agitation.

When he felt Marie’s hand on his shoulder, he turned to her. He knew Marie felt what he felt through their link, and in the back of his mind Vince felt bad for lowering Marie’s good mood. Looking into his sister’s eyes, he listened to what she had to say. Typical Marie, giving her little speeches. He though over what Marie had to say. The mansion was pretty impressive and the beach was huge. Vince suddenly remembered what his father once told him when he was younger. Never to judge a book by its cover. Whatever he might have heard about werewolves, and vampires, and demons Vince decided to expel from his mind. He couldn’t base his judgement on the scary stories he was told when he was young. This was something new. All of them were something new, and all it takes was to get used to it.

Giving Marie a smile of gratitude, he said to her, “Thank you, Marie. I think I needed that.” And he meant it. Jogging behind his sister, they made it to the huge doors of the mansion. Giving a slow whistle at its size, Vince turned to Marie. “Let’s see what happens from here on out, shall we?” he said jokingly with a small smile, pushing open the doors into the greeting hall. Vince couldn’t believe his eyes at first, gaping at the giant chandelier and ornate walls. “Wow,” he could only breathe out. He was sure Marie felt the same way. “Isn’t this something?”

Delroy Figaro Quirin- Genie Prince

"Oh yes, I missed you more than anything, you arrogant ass."
Del rolled his eyes slightly, though still smiling. Typical of Em, never admitting the obvious.
"Have I learnt how to tell them apart?. Well, obviously, I know how to tell some apart. The sulfuric stink of the demons, the usual blood stains on the cloths of the vampires, fire coming from the rooms of Phoenixes, water dripping from the mermaids, faeries leaving glitter everywhere. Was that what you wanted me to learn?"
As she nudged him teasingly, he gently shoved her aside laughing at the obvious stereotypes. The look on Em's face when she saw the room was to die for. He gave her a cheeky grin, before coming over to look at the list.
"Oh that's good, putting a genie in number thirteen."
Del gave her a dark look, before continuing through the list, carefully noting each mealtime. Far be it from him to miss one. He raised his eyebrow at the mention of being catered by magic. Now that would be fun, perhaps he'd pick up a few tricks.
"Come on Del, I wanna' explore! Lets go check out our rooms, and have a search around."
Del glanced back at Emma a childish smirk enlightening his features.
"Why would we want to do that?" he asked sarcastically "This is far worse than what we have at home" He said in mock disdain, before dropping the whole act. He wondered briefly is that's how the higher ups were thinking...the thought gave him an idea. He glanced at Em mischievously.
"I certainly want to have a look around...however if we are having as much trouble as the other races of thinking of ways to tell them apart, would it not be interesting to have a little fun?" he pounced on the idea quickly "I mean, who better to lie than us? What if we pretended to be one of the other races? It's not that appetizing to be part of the slave race with all the others, so lets swap. Obviously it'll be found out later, but who particularly cares?"
He gave Em a wink.
"Bet I make it upstairs faster…"
With that he quickly bounded up the nearby stairs, taking two at a time in an evidently childish measure. Sure, he'd smarten up a little later, but for now the whole situation was getting to him. He was going to enjoy every moment. He had no doubt that the little charade he planned on doing would probably bite him on the bum later, but life was to be enjoyed in the present right?
As he finally made it to number thirteen, he considered who'd be best to act as…
Elves would be fun, all high and mighty, go from bottom of the pack to the highest. The thought deepened Del's smirk before he threw open the door to his room.
The expensive, rich brown fabrics greeted Del. He let out a low whistle.

"Em, you have to see this"

Aileen watched as amusement spread over Brent's face. This only served to agitate her further. They'd only been on the island for less than five minutes and already he was rebelling.

Aila sighed in evident relief, her features relaxing slightly. Sure, it wasn't over, not by a long shot, but at least their reputation wouldn't be ruined in the first minutes. Besides, Brent was partly right, no one else was nearby...yet. Then again, elves, if she remembered correctly from her lessons, had heightened senses...As for not worrying what people think, that was a luxury she couldn't afford. It did matter, not so much for just her, but her whole race. With most of them beneath her in rank made it worse in Aileen's opinion.
“Well, are you coming then? We should go make introductions, right? Isn’t that next on your list?”
Brent's voice snapped Aila out of her musings.
"Yes...Yes, I'm coming" she hurried forward, glancing down at the white dress to make sure all was in order. "Brent, just because everyone else is lower than us doesn't give us any reason to relax. In fact less so. We have a long way to fall if this doesn't work out, their main choice is to go up from their position…"
No doubt Brent couldn't care less, however Aila found it helpful to voice her thoughts, in order to get herself organised. She rang her fingers through her long, red hair, before carefully adjusting her posture and starting off for the mansion. It truly was beautiful. She hadn't noticed before, being a little distracted by Brent's little stunt. As they made their way over the grassed grounds to the house, Aila was aware of the others also coming forward. They appeared to be a little behind the rest, due to the small distraction back at the portal, but Aila was sure they were not the last to arrive.
She sighed a little as she watched Brent, who evidently had no care about his posture. His black hair also pained her, though she wouldn't dare mention it. It was another reminder of his rebellion against their parents, and in Aileen's opinion, his species. As much as she loved him, it hurt to see him so rebellious with no care for those around him. As they finally reached the house, Aileen forced herself to look forward, before sweeping into the room.
The extravagance was clearly on display, though Aileen kept her thoughts to herself, keeping in place a serene mask. It was beautiful. Even though she was used to such luxuries, even she could not deny the taste and elegance executed in the building.
She slowly allowed her eyes to roam over the room before noticing two other people quickly racing upstairs, the male evidently being rather childish. Aileen struggled to keep herself from raising an eyebrow in shock. That was not exactly what she was expecting. She had thought most would be formal. She glanced back at Brent. Perhaps he would be more forgivable than she thought...than again they were rank three, and the two she had seen probably were a lower rank…
She turned away from the stairs and walked over to the notice near the door.
"Brent we are in rooms nine and ten" she called behind her, before scanning the rest of the list. That was when she saw her neighbours.
The Demons. Her blood ran cold. One of the worst races in Aileen's opinion. They would surely be dark, dangerous neighbours. They were also on the same floor as the Nymphs and...Genies? She had to be seeing things. Surely not. She'd assumed they'd be housed according to rank...evidently not.
"Brent…" her voice trailed off, pointing to their floor mates, not wanting to voice her opinions aloud. He would know her feelings anyway, through their link. The house could have ears by now, who knew who was already above them?

Diana Beaumont | thɛ vɑmpiʀɛ pʀincɛss

The smile that had curled Diana’s rosy lips soon vanished upon taking a deep breath. She had sensed her brother right behind her and having her twin there had raised her spirits, but the elixir of harsh scents on her nose vanished her excitement for the moment. She could smell oh so many things within the large house—mansion—they were staying. Everyone’s possessions maintained their own unique odor and her sharp senses had easily spotted it. Some were satisfactory, some were pleasant, but others were just dreadful.

When she had made her way into the foyer, Diana had also set eyes on the piece of paper with everyone’s names on it. Even though the Elven twins had been in her presence as well, she found it remarkably easy to pay to mind to their existence. She smelled their scent, heard their words, saw their faces, but cared not for any of it. Her eyes were transfixed on the roaster for a second before she looked away spoke to her brother as she walked toward the staircase. “Xander, I believe our rooms are one and two. I don’t know why, but they decided that I would be number two, “ Diana smiled at him as she stood beside the staircase. She used the railing to support herself whilst she took off her pumps that were dirtied by the mud and grass.

Then, without waiting any further, she gracefully took hold of her twin’s hand and led him down the corridor that she believed would lead them to their chambers. “I have no idea where I’m going but let’s look at this as an adventure, shall we?” she said with a tone that was obviously influenced by the smile on her face.

Asher Chamberlain | thɛ wɛʀɛwolf pʀincɛ

“Ah, twins, yes. But who was born first? This guy,” Asher pointed at himself with his thumbs as he watched his sister spin around like the grumpy airhead she was. He really didn’t care too much about who was born first, for the seconds were really nothing to him. What made the difference however, was their personalities—their attitudes, their way of speech, the way they interacted, and how they handled responsibilities. Through that list, Asher was the big brother in the brother-sister relationship they shared. It was just him; it was his title.

A little ghost of a grin graced his face and an eyebrow rose when Desiree finally found the little clue that would lead her to their destination. Of course, he knew that her discovery was a surprise for them both—just a little. “Bravo, Dez,” he mused and ruffled her brown hair before beginning to make his way to the place they were required to stay for a long, long while.

Skyla Halloway -Demon Princess

Skyla found the only benefit to this 'adventure' -as her brother saw it, was the well suited room. Sure it was a little ironic that the demons ended up with the black and gloomy morose colour scheme, but the bleach blonde didn't mind the clichéd assumption at all. She personally enjoyed every square inch of her new room, a perfect fit. Though it was little of a shock when Damian welcomed himself in, for one they were twins and have lived beneath the same roof for some twenty years, and therefore he no longer takes it upon himself to knock. The last time her brother had actually knocked and asked to enter her room would of been a little over... actually Skyla wasn't sure if her brother even knocked in the first place.
The thought of her twins 'guyness' brought a small smirk to her features. Her only thoughts at that second was how times have yet to change.

"Of course, though are you sure you'll be able to keep yourself from biting the heads off of any Merfolk if we are to meet any?" She question, running a hand teasingly through her brothers already mussed hair, successfully messing it up even more.

Skyla couldn't help to ask, she was quite aware for her brothers dislike towards the water loving fish people, she herself didn't like them all that much herself -but that wouldn't stop her from throwing a few jibs at her elder brother. It was all fundamental brother sister stuff, she'd say something that annoys him then he'd say something equally annoying back. Their trivial arguments could sometimes go for hours on end, she couldn't remember who was winning at the moment, her score keeping started going down the drain a year or so ago. "Oh, and you don't by any chance know holds the most won arguments at the moment do you? The last score I remember I was thrashing you one hundred and one to ninety nine." A small laugh broke its way through the Demon princess and she welcomed it. She couldn't help but feel bizarrely free, it was strange in a good way. This place may already have its downfalls with the annoying sunshine and sand, but it also had equal ups. Skyla could only hope that the rest of the place would be as interesting as her and her brothers own rooms.

Maybe she'd even meet the Elves she's already heard so much about back home.

#, as written by Mela
Venus Melissa Arton, Faerie Princess

Lissa laughed with joy as her brother began racing towards her, evidently changing all the while. The smile on his face had warmed her entire being, making her clap her little hands in excitement, and as he now passed her, shrinking with every fractions of a second, she called out a giggled “hey! Wait up!” before setting into motion, her slim legs bringing her closer to her brother as she instigated her own change. She would have a blast, she decided; might as well enjoy the few things she could about this place, attempt to get the damn treaty signed, and then go home to her familiar castle in the beautiful nature that constituted home. So yes, Lissa had her mind set on finding out as much she could, maybe even spot similarities she could use when trying to convince everyone that a treaty was a good idea – that maybe, they weren’t all that different. If she had to be honest, she had no clue why nymphs, faeries and elves were fighting eachother.

Sure, they had their differences, but they all cherished nature and subtle beauty, so in the general picture of things, they weren’t all that different. Many people were offended by the nobility of elves, and the mischievous nature of the Faeries, while some felt that the Nymphs were that tad too free-spirited, but Melissa had never liked stereotypes, preferring to give everyone a fair shot at showing who they were, despite races. People could be very different even if they were of the same kin, like her and her brother, so maybe they could be very alike across species too. Maybe the werewolf princess was a fun-loving albeit temperamental girl, maybe the elf prince was a down to earth guy, and maybe the vampire princess wasn’t only a bloodthirsty evil creature? Lissa wouldn’t know until she met them… or spied on them.

As Lissa’s little, white dress became too big for her shrinking shoulders to carry, she felt the usual leaves creep up around her body, forming the short, strapless dress always making up her little faerie-outfit. Her body grew smaller, the tickling feeling of her wings magically growing out of her back causing her to laugh softly. As she unfolded her glittering, white and lightgreen wings and set off after her brother, her smile grew. She quickly caught up with him, rapidly circling him, joyfully laughing all the while. However, she only did one round before she took the lead, her wings soundlessly, yet furiously flapping about, causing her to move quickly through the air, not feeling the strain of its drag due to her slight size. It was wonderful! Lissa hadn’t been in her faerie form for days, and as she flew through the air, she realized she’d missed it.

Lissa didn’t open the door, because – let’s face it – she wasn’t quite big enough. Instead, she raced through the keyhole, grinning when she caught sight of a redheaded woman along with a darkhaired man. She knew that red hair usually meant Phoenix, and she’d heard stories of the prince dying his hair out of rebellious urges. She glanced at her brother, glint in her eyes. “Phoenixes?” she mouthed at him as she flew up behind the female to look at the paper she was gazing at. Lissa heard the woman say ‘Brent,’ her voice a little unsure, an impression moreover confirmed by her slightly widened eyes. So, the Phoenix prince was called Brent. The uncaring look on his face made Lissa a little uneasy, but she felt safe in her tiny form, accompanied by her much tougher brother, as she could move before anyone even thought of lashing out. She was little bigger than a fly and she had to admit that the others’ great size made her yet more uncomfortable. That was the price of her vague safety, however.

Her eyes moved over the sheet and they widened just slightly as she caught sight of the word ‘vampire’ on the same floor as her and Pan. She felt her smile disappear, because though Lissa was willing to give anyone a chance, fear induced in her for all of her life proved hard to shake. She floated in the air, just behind the Phoenix princess and looked back at Pan, knowing he’d get why she suddenly looked so frightened the second he saw the workout of their floor. She didn’t say anything, not wanting to draw attention to herself, even though she knew the Phoenixes could not hear her tiny voice. She was being careful, which she personally thought was the way to go about things.

The young princess had not really taken any notice of the beautiful room she was in, much more occupied at the prospect of finding out about her housemates… and evidently floormates too. She couldn’t complain about the mermaids though – they were probably a little bubbly like her and she’d though she might get along with them.

Brenton Aedus Vesta

Brent had trailed along with his sister, indifferent, blank look on his face, his hands casually in his pockets. He felt slight amusement at his sister’s attempt of the whole royal dignity. Sure, she would probably fool a couple of people, but she was a 21 year old girl, for Christ’s sake – who was going to believe she was really that calm and collected? Brent knew his sister, and he was pretty confident she was quite nervous on the inside. That’s what putting so much pressure on your own shoulders usually resulted in. He followed her inside, raising a single eyebrow at the interior. It was pretty decent – he wasn’t impressed (he rarely was), but he wasn’t disappointed either. It was no more than what he was used to, and honestly he didn’t care much for decorations and pretty things. Now, if they had a fireplace somewhere, Brent would be a happy little birdie. His expression sobered back into non-existent in a matter of seconds however.

He heard shuffling, causes his eyes to automatically seek out the cause of it. The sight of two people racing up stairs had him smiling wryly. Oh the wonders of infantile behavior. Brenton wasn’t particularly fond of games or folly, even though he was not a fan of his sister’s compliant, serene appearance either. Actually, in all honesty, Brent wasn’t a huge supporter of… well, anything, really. Except for his own desires and wants. Not for the first time, Brent wished himself in the bright skies, enjoying the feeling of wind under his wings, the sun heating up his body without it actually catching fire. He longed for the freedom of it, but was aware that his sister needed him to stay with her, at least for a little while yet, however bothersome that was.

He also walked with her as she moved to read a note behind a door – one, Brent deigned to read with her, so when she informed him of the rooms they’d be in, he merely nodded once, already aware. Also, he’d noticed the fact that they’d be joined by Genies, Nymphs and Demons on the second floor. Well, that would surely be lovely; the gloomy ones, the slaves, and the hippies. Frankly, Brent wasn’t excited at the prospect, and when he felt fear from his sister, he figured she’d seen that the demons would be on their floor. When she then said his name, along with pointed, he was sure of it. He sighed softly, that protectiveness welling up in him again. He expected to see a lot of that during their stay. If those demons as much as talked badly of his sister, or even looked at her wrong, Brent would be there, and he’d welcome the fight if it was what it took to keep his sister safe. He’d win of course.

He had been trained in all things physical since the day he could first walk, along with being taught how and where to hit, inflicting the maximum amount of pain. That, and the fact that he had been honing his skills of fire-breathing, slowly building the amount of times he could do it, along with his endurance of it. Also, he just didn’t care. He didn’t get worked up in a fight, he didn’t leave anyting but cold calculation in his mind. That, along with many other things, made Brent a pretty scary opponent in any situation. If things got really bad, he’d go flamey bird on them all and burn the house to the ground. There were no steps he would not take, because he didn’t care about anything apart from his little sister.

“Yeah, I know,” he said, voice unexpectedly soft and reassuring. He moved to put strong arms around his sister, standing behind her. Then he put his mouth down by her ear, whispering to make sure no one could make out his words. “Relax, sis. No one’s going to hurt you. I won’t let them, filthy demons or not.” It was one of those rare moments where Brent showed actual affection, albeit slightly harsh, but he didn’t mind too much as Aila was the only one who could hear him. Couldn’t have anyone thinking he’d give them the same consideration, because hell would freeze over before he did. No reason to humor the poor things. He offered his sister a soft squeeze, still not letting go. He had a feeling she needed it right now. She’d never been on her own before, and adding to the fact that he was the way he was… well, he couldn’t blame her for feeling a bit alone despite his company. It was odd, this caring side of him, but though he still could not quite make up his mind as to his opinion if it, he’d decided to just go with it. Maybe this trip would help him loosen up a little. Maybe.

Evangeline Marie Almora

Eva still hadn't moved an inch since she stumbled through the portal. Even if no one was looking at her, or even talking to her, it was still terrifying to the petite girl. There were so many of them and she was going to have to live with them. For.. For however long it took to make the peace treaty. Eva had no idea how long that would take, and she didn't expect to be told about it. Things like treaties were for people like Fisher who were going to rule someday. If Eva was a part of the negotiations she would no doubt just get in the way. After all, the girl had no idea about these kinds of things and it would be entirely useless to put her there. Eva jumped as she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and a look of absolute relief swept over Eva's features.

"Fisher! Of course, I would never go anywhere without you," Eva responded happily. She watched as he smiled that half smile she saw only rarely. It was always wonderful when she did see it. Fisher's smile always put her at ease and she could feel herself relaxing. As long as Fisher was here, Eva knew she'd be okay. Her older brother would protect her from everything, Eva knew that. Ever since birth Eva had been taught to see her brother as the best at everything, better then her in every way. Perfect, strong, and brave, like every King should be. It had resulted in a hero-like worship of him and she could never seem to shake it. Not that Eva wanted to because from all she had seen of her brother it was pretty much true. Still, Eva also knew he was unhappy about this. She felt his hand squeeze hers and Eva turned to smile at Fisher happily.

"I'm really glad you're here, brother. I don't think I would be able to be here without you," Eva admitted. She leaned slightly against Fisher, letting out a sigh. She had a peaceful smile on her face, one that was rarely seen when she was out of the company of her brother. No one else had the power to make Eva feel so safe and at home, for as far as Eva saw it she had no other family. Her parents were like cold statues and they didn't count. Fisher was the only kindness she'd ever met in her life.

Re: Hollow House

In case any of you are still keeping track here, I've started this roleplay. I put a whole lot of work into it, and I'm really hoping you''ll join. =D It's gonna be great. I promise.

Re: Hollow House

Hunger Games RP if anyone is interested :)

Re: Hollow House

I'm thinking of starting up a Hunger Games roleplay, if anyone would be interested?
It'll be before everything with Katniss (as I haven't finished the third book yet), so it doesn't matter if you haven't read the books.

It'll be in the same situation as this too, with the twist being that all of the tributes have to stay in a house together for just under a year before the Games.

Re: Hollow House

It's too bad this one didn't work out. It was the one RP I was involved in that looked like it was going somewhere. Oh well.

Re: Hollow House

Didn't. xD Dee gave up on this. Too many people to harass. It was a tad too big as it was. However, if any of you online people would be interested in this other RP of hers, we still need another male; The Other Side of New York. ^^ Just throwing it out there for anyone who might be on the look-out for another RP to join. ;D

Re: Hollow House

So how'd the dragon time go?

Re: Hollow House

Sorry I haven't been very active, lately. Life just got hectic all of a sudden. No signs of ceasing, however. But I think I'm still waiting for at least one of the werewolves to respond to Marie's greeting before I post for her again. I guess I can post for Pan, but that'll have to be tonight. I have to go right now.

Re: Hollow House

Hells yes, girl.

Re: Hollow House

dragontime, Dee? xD

Re: Hollow House

I might have to do this. I didn't want to start harming people, but I think I'll have to.

Re: Hollow House

Didn't you say you were going to mercilessly pursue people if they didn't respond, or has that already been attempted?

Re: Hollow House

Has this come to a halt then? :/

Re: Hollow House

Another RP, silly Dee... obviously. xD

Re: Hollow House

O.O We'll kill them.

Was it on here then? Or another RP?

Re: Hollow House

Obnoxious people, for ya. That's what they do. Blegh... xD

And yeah... I second Dee's curiosity. xD

Edit: oooh... poor Em. <3 Do you want us to send Charlie and Camille to "take care" of her? =D

Re: Hollow House

Basically that thing I said up there. In quotations. She literally had her character bump into mine or vice versa and then mine started apologizing to hers and talking to her.

Re: Hollow House

What happened? :O

Re: Hollow House

Ha! No she pmed me actually complaining that I didn't respond to her post about him. I just ignored that too. I'm pretty sure she's the gm to. She's done it to someone else too and it's always shit that the characters in no way would have said. I'm just going to make a comment about god modding in the ooc.

Re: Hollow House

I am so with you, honey! What is up with that? Godmodding is just a fucking crime if you ask me. And to that amount? with godmodding LINES even? Christ. You have my undivided sympathy, really. I would probably send her a very angry PM, scolding her, and then I'd contact that GM... unless it is the GM, in which case I'd drop out.

And pf, you're welcome to vent anytime you need!

And, you guys... it's alright. I'm sure it'll work itself out with people posting. They're probably just busy with exams and such. =)

Re: Hollow House

Off topic but I need to vent.
People piss me off, especially when they godmod my characters. Like no, just no, I don't pop on here and start "Juliet was walking down the stairs when random male character bumped into her and said "Oh gosh I'm so sorry, blah blah blah, etc." It pisses me off, not only is the whole bumping into someone accidentally thing way over done but then you're going to tell me what I'd say, no! It is not okay.
I think I'm going to just ignore her every time she does it or just quit the character if she pisses me off any more.
