There was a man who came from, Thumma, the "Had been" forth moon of Homdale. He claimed that he had fell from the sky and landed on Homdale. He also claimed to have been a god. The day she met him was the day of a long, dragged out battle. He came to the glorious city of Hew'ilet, which she resided in, and demanded to speak with her father. Her father was the adviser of the man that lived in the Black Citadel. This tower was located in the middle of the city and was a Wonder of their world. It could be seen for miles in any directions and could also help lost travelers find their way. All they needed to do was look up. He
He stormed the city as a man, demanded to speak with her father. Her father did as he asked. They spoke of the man in the tower. This man that was talking to her father was always refurred to as "The Man in Black". He claimed that the man in the tower was none other than his brother and that he too had fallen from the sky with him. He claimed that he had been trapped on this planet for hundreds of years and that all he wanted to do was go to his home world of Thumma and that he wanted his brother with him. The man in the tower said other wise. He had told Zarahs father, the adviser, that yes, he was his brother, but no, he would never leave. The man in black was banished from Thumma and his brother was sent to make sure he would die there. Only then would his brother be able to return home as well.
That night, he left Hew'ilet. But before he departed, he screamed in the streets that the end was nigh. That once day, he would kill us off when we weren't expecting it. Zarah and her people learned that night that his name was Ah'bur. The man in the tower claimed that Ah'bur, his brother, was evil incarnate and that it was vital that he never leave Homdale. The man in the tower never told her father why but that he would find out sooner or later his reasoning for madness and that chosen beings were the only way he could be stopped. Beings from far off places and through time and space.
Homdales destruction came two years to the day after Ah'bur stormed out of Hew'ilet. The moon/planet, Thumma was destroyed before everyones eyes. What appeared was an implosion. The particles that were left from the moon smashed into the other three remaining moons, causing their orbit to be disturbed. This caused a catastrophic disaster for Homdale. Over a span of ten years, the planet dyed. The oceans, rivers, lakes and streams dried out. The Forests and jungles of the planet rotted and decayed. Iron covered the planet now, which gives it the reddish orange tint.
Ah'bur did come back to Hew'ilet. He confronted Zarahs father and told him to deliver and message to his brother. "There is a war coming, brother and i hope for you and the sake of the remaining people left on this dying world, that you let me leave. Or i will use the power i have gained and kill not only myself, but the planet and everyone on it. I have spokenâĻ"
Zarah new that in the end, they would all die. They had no army. There were barley any humans left on Homdale at all. Hope was fading and to top things off, her mother and sister and abandoned her and her father. No one new where they went, but her mother did leave a note, "Zarah, tell your father not to look for me. I am taking your younger sister away from here and i never want to you or him again." Zarah was confused and sad. Though her and her mother did not get along, she could not bare to think what her 8 year old sister was going through at the time.
She had been taught by her father for 10 long years until she was 22, to be a priest. She healed others, and extremely well. She was better than her father. Three weeks after her mother and sister left them, she heard a young man scream "Hello!" just outside the ruined wall of Hew'ilet when she was doing daily chores outside. She ran to the southern side of the wall and saw the man. She hid her self well not to be seen. There was a beast with him, and by the looks of it, it was not a pet. He was holding a blade up, trying to shoo it away. She could tell the man was sick. Most likely dehydration and heat exhaustion, though she could not be sure. When she saw him keel over to his knees and vomit red, she new that she had to do something. But she waited. There were two figures to the south approaching. They were dark skinned and by the looks of it, they only wanted to help. They gave the poor man water, trying to give him and much liquids as possible. She needed to act.
She needed, wanted, to save that mans life.
